12:109 · Para 13
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًۭا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ ۗ أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۗ وَلَدَارُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ خَيْرٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْا۟ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
Wa maaa arsalnaa min qablika illaa rijaalan nooheee ilaihim min ahlil quraa; afalam yaseeroo fil ardi fa yanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul lazeena min qablihim; wa la Daarul Aakhirati Khairul lillazeenat taqaw; afalaa ta'qiloon
We sent not before thee (any messengers) save men whom We inspired from among the folk of the townships - Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? And verily the abode of the Hereafter, for those who ward off (evil), is best. Have ye then no sense? -

اور جتنے بھیجے ہم نے تجھ سے پہلے وہ سب مرد ہی تھے کہ وحی بھیجتے تھے ہم انکو بستیوں کے رہنے والے سو کیا ان لوگوں نے نہیں سیر کی ملک کی کہ دیکھ لیتے کیسا ہوا انجام ان لوگوں کا جو ان سے پہلے تھے اور آخرت کا گھر تو بہتر ہے پرہیز کرنے والوں کو کیا اب بھی نہیں سمجھتے [۱۵۵]
