An-Nahl

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ أَتَىٰٓ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوهُ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

Ataaa amrullaahi falaa tasta'jilooh; Subhaanahoo wa Ta'aalaa 'ammaa yushrikoon

The commandment of Allah will come to pass, so seek not ye to hasten it. Glorified and Exalted be He above all that they associate (with Him).

آ پہنچا حکم اللہ کا سو اس کی جلدی مت کرو [۱] وہ پاک ہے اور برتر ہے انکے شریک بتلانے سے [۲]

يُنَزِّلُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ بِٱلرُّوحِ مِنْ أَمْرِهِۦ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذِرُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱتَّقُونِ

Yunazzilul malaaa 'ikata birroohi min amrihee 'alaa mai yashaaa'u min 'ibaadiheee an anzirooo annahoo laaa ilaaha illaaa ana fattaqoon

He sendeth down the angels with the Spirit of His command unto whom He will of His bondmen, (saying): Warn mankind that there is no Allah save Me, so keep your duty unto Me.

اتارتا ہے فرشتوں کو [۳] بھید دے کر [۴] اپنے حکم سے جس پر چاہے اپنے بندوں میں [۵] کہ خبردار کر دو کہ کسی کی بندگی نہیں سوا میرے سو مجھ سے ڈرو [۶]

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ تَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

Khalaqas samaawaati wal arda bilhaqq; Ta'aalaa 'ammaa yushrikoon

He hath created the heavens and the earth with truth. High be He Exalted above all that they associate (with Him).

بنائے آسمان اور زمین ٹھیک ٹھیک وہ برتر ہے انکے شریک بتلانے سے [۷]

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍۢ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

Khalaqal insaana min nutfatin fa izaa huwa khaseemum mubeen

He hath created man from a drop of fluid, yet behold! he is an open opponent.

بنایا آدمی کو ایک بوند سے پھر جبھی ہو گیا جھگڑا کرنے والا بولنے والا [۸]

وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمَ خَلَقَهَا ۗ لَكُمْ فِيهَا دِفْءٌۭ وَمَنَٰفِعُ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ

Wal an 'amaa khalaqahaa; lakum feehaa dif'unw wa manaafi'u wa minhaa taakuloon

And the cattle hath He created, whence ye have warm clothing and uses, and whereof ye eat;

اور چوپائے بنا دیے تمہارے واسطے ان میں جڑا دل ہے اور کتنے فائدے اور بعضوں کو کھاتے ہو [۹]

وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا جَمَالٌ حِينَ تُرِيحُونَ وَحِينَ تَسْرَحُونَ

Wa lakum feehaa jamaalun heena tureehoona wa heena tasrahoon

And wherein is beauty for you, when ye bring them home, and when ye take them out to pasture.

اور تم کو ان سے عزت ہے جب شام کو چرا کر لاتے ہو اور جب چرانے لے جاتے ہو [۱۰]

وَتَحْمِلُ أَثْقَالَكُمْ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٍۢ لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ بَٰلِغِيهِ إِلَّا بِشِقِّ ٱلْأَنفُسِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Wa tahmilu asqaalakum ilaa baladil lam takoonoo baaligheehi illaa bishiqqil anfus; inna Rabbakum la Ra'oofur Raheem

And they bear your loads for you unto a land ye could not reach save with great trouble to yourselves. Lo! your Lord is Full of Pity, Merciful.

اور اٹھا لے چلتے ہیں بوجھ تمہارے ان شہروں تک کہ تم نہ پہنچتے وہاں مگر جان مار کر بیشک تمہارا رب بڑا شفقت کرنے والا مہربان ہے [۱۱]

وَٱلْخَيْلَ وَٱلْبِغَالَ وَٱلْحَمِيرَ لِتَرْكَبُوهَا وَزِينَةًۭ ۚ وَيَخْلُقُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

Walkhaila wal bighaala wal hameera litarkaboohaa wa zeenah; wa yakhluqu maa laa ta'lamoon

And horses and mules and asses (hath He created) that ye may ride them, and for ornament. And He createth that which ye know not.

اور گھوڑے پیدا کئے اور خچریں اور گدھے کہ ان پر سوار ہو اور زینت کے لئے [۱۲] اور پیدا کرتا ہے جو تم نہیں جانتے [۱۳]

وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ قَصْدُ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَمِنْهَا جَآئِرٌۭ ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَهَدَىٰكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

Wa 'alal laahi qasdus sabeeli wa minhaa jaaa'ir; wa law shaaa'a lahadaakum ajma'een

And Allah's is the direction of the way, and some (roads) go not straight. And had He willed He would have led you all aright.

اور اللہ تک پہنچتی ہے سیدھی راہ اور بعضی راہ کج بھی ہے [۱۴] اور اگر وہ چاہے تو سیدھی راہ دے تم سب کو [۱۵]

هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ ۖ لَّكُم مِّنْهُ شَرَابٌۭ وَمِنْهُ شَجَرٌۭ فِيهِ تُسِيمُونَ

Huwal lazeee anzala minas samaaa'i maaa'al lakum minhu sharaabunw wa minhu shajarun feehi tuseemoon

He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, whence ye have drink, and whence are trees on which ye send your beasts to pasture.

وہی ہے جس نے اتارا آسمان سے تمہارے لئے پانی اس سے پیتے ہو اور اسی سے درخت ہوتے ہیں جس میں چراتے ہو [۱۶]

يُنۢبِتُ لَكُم بِهِ ٱلزَّرْعَ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلنَّخِيلَ وَٱلْأَعْنَٰبَ وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

Yumbitu lakum bihiz zar'a wazzaitoona wanna kheela wal-a'naaba wa min kullis samaraat, inna fee zaalika la Aayatal liqawminy yatafakkaroon

Therewith He causeth crops to grow for you, and the olive and the date-palm and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect.

اگاتا ہے تمہارے واسطے اس سے کھیتی اور زیتون اور کھجوریں اور انگور اور ہر قسم کے میوے اس میں البتہ نشانی ہے ان لوگوں کو جو غور کرتے ہیں [۱۷]

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ وَٱلنُّجُومُ مُسَخَّرَٰتٌۢ بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ

Wa sakkhkhara lakumul laila wannahaara wash shamsa walqamara wannujoomu musakhkharaatum bi amrih; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawminy ya'qiloon

And He hath constrained the night and the day and the sun and the moon to be of service unto you, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Lo! herein indeed are portents for people who have sense.

اور تمہارے کام میں لگا دیا رات اور دن اور سورج اور چاند کو اور ستارے کام میں لگے ہیں اسکے حکم سے [۱۸] اس میں نشانیاں ہیں ان لوگوں کو جو سمجھ رکھتے ہیں

وَمَا ذَرَأَ لَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَٰنُهُۥٓ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَذَّكَّرُونَ

Wa maa zara a lakum fil ardi mukhtalifan alwaanuh; inna fee zaalika la Aayatal liqawminy yazakkaroon

And whatsoever He hath created for you in the earth of divers hues, lo! therein is indeed a portent for people who take heed.

اور جو چیزیں پھیلائیں تمہارے واسطے زمین میں رنگ برنگ کی [۱۹] اس میں نشانی ہے ان لوگوں کو جو سوچتے ہیں

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ ٱلْبَحْرَ لِتَأْكُلُوا۟ مِنْهُ لَحْمًۭا طَرِيًّۭا وَتَسْتَخْرِجُوا۟ مِنْهُ حِلْيَةًۭ تَلْبَسُونَهَا وَتَرَى ٱلْفُلْكَ مَوَاخِرَ فِيهِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

Wa Huwal lazee sakhkharal bahra litaakuloo minhu lahman tariyyanw wa tastakhrijoo minhu hilyatan talbasoonahaa wa taral fulka mawaakhira feehi wa litabtaghoo min fadlihee wa la'allakum tashkuroon

And He it is Who hath constrained the sea to be of service that ye eat fresh meat from thence, and bring forth from thence ornaments which ye wear. And thou seest the ships ploughing it that ye (mankind) may seek of His bounty and that haply ye may give thanks.

اور وہی ہے جس نے کام میں لگا دیا دریا کو کہ کھاؤ اس میں سے گوشت تازہ اور نکالو اس میں سے گہنا جو پہنتے ہو اور دیکھتا ہے تو کشتیوں کو چلتی ہیں پانی پھاڑ کر اسمیں (دریا میں) [۲۰] اور اس واسطے کہ تلاش کرو اسکے فضل سے اور تاکہ احسان مانو [۲۱]

وَأَلْقَىٰ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ رَوَٰسِىَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَأَنْهَٰرًۭا وَسُبُلًۭا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ

Wa alqaa fil ardi rawaasiya an tameeda bikum wa anhaaranw wa sublulal la 'allakum tahtadoon

And He hath cast into the earth firm hills that it quake not with you, and streams and roads that ye may find a way.

اور رکھ دیے زمین پر بوجھ (پہاڑ) کہ کبھی جھک پڑے تم کو لے کر [۲۲] اور بنائیں ندیاں [۲۳] اور راستے تا کہ تم راہ پاؤ [۲۴]

وَعَلَٰمَٰتٍۢ ۚ وَبِٱلنَّجْمِ هُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ

Wa 'alaamaat; wa bin najmi hum yahtadoon

And landmarks (too), and by the star they find a way.

اور بنائیں (رکھیں) علامتیں [۲۵] اور ستاروں سے لوگ راہ پاتے ہیں [۲۶]

أَفَمَن يَخْلُقُ كَمَن لَّا يَخْلُقُ ۗ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

Afamany yakhluqu kamallaa yakhluq; afalaa tazak karoon

Is He then Who createth as him who createth not? Will ye not then remember?

بھلا جو پیدا کرے برابر ہے اس کے جو کچھ نہ پیدا کرے کیا تم سوچتے نہیں [۲۷]

وَإِن تَعُدُّوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَآ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Wa in ta'uddoo ni'matal laahi laa tuhsoohaa; innal laaha la Ghafoorur Raheem

And if ye would count the favour of Allah ye cannot reckon it. Lo! Allah is indeed Forgiving, Merciful.

اور اگر شمار (گنو) کرو اللہ کی نعمتوں کو نہ پورا کر سکو گے ان کو [۲۸] بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے [۲۹]

وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُسِرُّونَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ

Wallaahu ya'lamu maa tusirroona wa maa tu'linoon

And Allah knoweth that which ye keep hidden and that which ye proclaim.

اور اللہ جانتا ہے جو تم چھپاتے ہو اور جو ظاہر کرتے ہو [۳۰]

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْـًۭٔا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ

Wallazeena yad'oona min doonil laahi laa yakhluqoona shai'anw wa hum yukhlaqoon

Those unto whom they cry beside Allah created naught, but are themselves created.

اور جن کو پکارتے ہیں اللہ کے سوائے کچھ پیدا نہیں کرتے اور وہ خود پیدا کئے ہوئے ہیں [۳۱]

أَمْوَٰتٌ غَيْرُ أَحْيَآءٍۢ ۖ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ أَيَّانَ يُبْعَثُونَ

Amwaatun ghairu ahyaaa'inw wa maa yash'uroona aiyaana yub'asoon

(They are) dead, not living. And they know not when they will be raised.

مردے ہیں جن میں جان نہیں [۳۲] اور نہیں جانتے کب اٹھائے جائیں گے [۳۳]

إِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ ۚ فَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ قُلُوبُهُم مُّنكِرَةٌۭ وَهُم مُّسْتَكْبِرُونَ

Illahukum Ilaahunw Waahid; fallazeena laa yu'minoona bil Aakhirati quloobuhum munkiratunw wa hum mustakbiroon

Your Allah is One Allah. But as for those who believe not in the Hereafter their hearts refuse to know, for they are proud.

معبود تمہارا معبود ہے اکیلا سو جن کو یقین نہیں آخرت کی زندگی کا ان کے دل نہیں مانتے اور وہ مغرور ہیں [۳۴]

لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُسْتَكْبِرِينَ

Laa jarama annal laaha ya'lamu maa yusirrona wa ma yu'linoon; innahoo laa yuhibbul mustakbireen

Assuredly Allah knoweth that which they keep hidden and that which they proclaim. Lo! He loveth not the proud.

ٹھیک بات ہے کہ اللہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ چھپاتے ہیں اور جو کچھ ظاہر (جتلاتے ہیں) کرتے ہیں بیشک وہ نہیں پسند کرتا غرور کرنے والوں کو [۳۵]

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُم مَّاذَآ أَنزَلَ رَبُّكُمْ ۙ قَالُوٓا۟ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Wa izaa qeela lahum maazaaa anzala Rabbukum qaaloo asaateerul awwaleen

And when it is said unto them: What hath your Lord revealed? they say: (Mere) fables of the men of old,

اور جب کہے ان سےکہ کیا اتارا ہے تمہارے رب نے تو کہیں کہانیاں ہیں پہلوں کی [۳۶]

لِيَحْمِلُوٓا۟ أَوْزَارَهُمْ كَامِلَةًۭ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۙ وَمِنْ أَوْزَارِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُضِلُّونَهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ

Liyahmilooo awzaarahum kaamilatany Yawmal Qiyaamati wa min awzaaril lazeena yudilloonahum bighairi 'ilm; alaa saaa'a maa yaziroon

That they may bear their burdens undiminished on the Day of Resurrection, with somewhat of the burdens of those whom they mislead without knowledge. Ah! evil is that which they bear!

تاکہ اٹھائیں بوجھ اپنے پورے دن قیامت کے اور کچھ بوجھ ان کے جن کو بہکاتے ہیں بلا تحقیق سنتا ہے برا بوجھ ہے جو اٹھاتے ہیں [۳۷]

قَدْ مَكَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَأَتَى ٱللَّهُ بُنْيَٰنَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقَوَاعِدِ فَخَرَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّقْفُ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَأَتَىٰهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

Qad makaral lazeena min qablihim fa atal laahu bunyaa nahum minal qawaa'idi fakharra 'alaihimus saqfu min fawqihim wa ataahumul 'azaabu min haisu laa yash'uroon

Those before them plotted, so Allah struck at the foundations of their building, and then the roof fell down upon them from above them, and the doom came on them whence they knew not;

البتہ دغابازی کر چکے ہیں جو تھے ان سے پہلے (ان سے اگلے) پھر پہنچا حکم اللہ کا ان کی عمارت پر بنیادوں سے پھر گر پڑی ان پر چھت اوپر سے اور آیا ان پرعذاب جہاں سے ان کو خبر نہ تھی [۳۸]

ثُمَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ يُخْزِيهِمْ وَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآءِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تُشَٰٓقُّونَ فِيهِمْ ۚ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ إِنَّ ٱلْخِزْىَ ٱلْيَوْمَ وَٱلسُّوٓءَ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

Summa Yawmal Qiyaamati yukhzeehim wa yaqoolu aina shurakaaa'iyal lazeena kuntum tushaaaqqoona feehim; qaalal lazeena ootul 'ilma innal khizyal Yawma wassooo'a 'alal kaafireen

Then on the Day of Resurrection He will disgrace them and will say: Where are My partners, for whose sake ye opposed (My guidance)? Those who have been given knowledge will say: Disgrace this day and evil are upon the disbelievers,

پھر قیامت کے دن رسوا کرے گا ان کو اور کہے گا کہاں ہیں میرے شریک جن پر تم کو بڑی ضد تھی [۳۹] بولیں گے جن کو دی گئ تھی خبر بیشک رسوائی آج کے دن اور برائی منکروں پر ہے [۴۰]

ٱلَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّىٰهُمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ ظَالِمِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ ۖ فَأَلْقَوُا۟ ٱلسَّلَمَ مَا كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ مِن سُوٓءٍۭ ۚ بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Allazeena tatawaf faahu mul malaaa'ikatu zaalimeee anfusihim fa alqawus salama maa kunnaa na'malu min sooo'; balaaa innal laaha 'aleemum bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

Whom the angels cause to die while they are wronging themselves. Then will they make full submission (saying): We used not to do any wrong. Nay! Surely Allah is Knower of what ye used to do.

جن کی جان نکالتے ہیں فرشتے اور وہ برا کر رہے ہیں اپنے حق میں [۴۱] تب ظاہر کریں گے اطاعت کہ ہم تو کرتے نہ تھے کچھ برائی [۴۲] کیوں نہیں اللہ خوب جانتا ہے جو تم کرتے تھے [۴۳]

فَٱدْخُلُوٓا۟ أَبْوَٰبَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ فَلَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ

Fadkhulooo abwaaba jahannama khaalideena feeha falabi'sa maswal mutakab bireen

So enter the gates of hell, to dwell therein for ever. Woeful indeed will be the lodging of the arrogant.

سو داخل ہو دروازوں میں دوزخ کے رہا کرو سدا اسی میں سو کیا برا ٹھکانا ہے غرور کرنے والوں کا

۞ وَقِيلَ لِلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْا۟ مَاذَآ أَنزَلَ رَبُّكُمْ ۚ قَالُوا۟ خَيْرًۭا ۗ لِّلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا۟ فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةٌۭ ۚ وَلَدَارُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ خَيْرٌۭ ۚ وَلَنِعْمَ دَارُ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

Wa qeela lillazeenat taqaw maazaaa anzala Rabbukum; qaaloo khairaa; lillazeena absanoo fee haazihid dunyaa hasanah; wa la Daarul Aakhirati khair; wa lani'ma daarul muttaqeen

And it is said unto those who ward off (evil): What hath your Lord revealed? They say: Good. For those who do good in this world there is a good (reward) and the home of the Hereafter will be better. Pleasant indeed will be the home of those who ward off (evil) -

اور کہا پرہیزگاروں کو کیا اتارا تمہارے رب نے بولے نیک بات جنہوں نے بھلائی کی اس دنیا میں انکو بھلائی ہے[۴۴] اور آخرت کا گھر بہتر ہے اور کیا خوب گھر ہے پرہیزگاروں کا [۴۵]

جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍۢ يَدْخُلُونَهَا تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۖ لَهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَآءُونَ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجْزِى ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

Jannaatu 'Adniny yadkhuloonahaa tajree min tahtihal anhaaru lahum feehaa maa yashaaa'oon; kazaalika yajzil laahul muttaqeen

Gardens of Eden which they enter, underneath which rivers flow, wherein they have what they will. Thus Allah repayeth those who ward off (evil),

باغ ہیں ہمیشہ رہنے کے جن میں وہ جائیں گے بہتی ہیں ان کے نیچے نہریں ان کے واسطے وہاں ہے جو چاہیں [۴۶] ایسا بدلہ دے گا اللہ پرہیزگاروں کو [۴۷]

ٱلَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّىٰهُمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ طَيِّبِينَ ۙ يَقُولُونَ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Allazeena tatawaf faahumul malaaa'ikatu taiyibeena yaqooloona salaamun 'alai kumud khulul Jannata bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

Those whom the angels cause to die (when they are) good. They say: Peace be unto you! Enter the Garden because of what ye used to do.

جن کی جان قبض کرتے ہیں فرشتے اور وہ ستھری ہیں [۴۸] کہتےہیں فرشتے سلامتی تم پر جاؤ بہشت میں [۴۹] بدلہ ہے اس کا جو تم کرتے تھے [۵۰]

هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّآ أَن تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِىَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ فَعَلَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ

Hal yanzuroona illaaa an taatiyahumul malaaa'ikatu aw yaatiya amru Rabbik; kazaalika fa'alal lazeena min qablihim; wa maa zalamahumul laahu wa laakin kaanoo anfusahum yazlimoon

Await they aught say that the angels should come unto them or thy Lord's command should come to pass? Even so did those before them. Allah wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves,

کیا کافر اب اس کے منتظر ہیں کہ آئیں ان پر فرشتے یا پہنچے حکم تیرے رب کا [۵۱] اسی طرح کیا تھا ان سے اگلوں نے اور اللہ نے ظلم نہ کیا ان پر لیکن وہ خود اپنا برا کرتے رہے

فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

Fa asaabahum saiyi aatu maa 'amiloo wa haaqa bihim maa kaano bihee yastahzi'oon

So that the evils of what they did smote them, and that which they used to mock surrounded them.

پھر پڑے ان کے سر ان کے برے کام اور الٹ پڑا ان پر جو ٹھٹھا کرتے تھے [۵۲]

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَا عَبَدْنَا مِن دُونِهِۦ مِن شَىْءٍۢ نَّحْنُ وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمْنَا مِن دُونِهِۦ مِن شَىْءٍۢ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ فَعَلَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ فَهَلْ عَلَى ٱلرُّسُلِ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

Wa qaalal lazeena ashrakoo law shaaa'al laahu ma 'abadnaa min doonihee min shai'in nahnu wa laaa aabaaa'unaa wa laa harramnaa min doonihee min shai'; kazaalika fa'alal lazeena min qablihim fahal 'alar Rusuli illal balaaghul mubeen

And the idolaters say: Had Allah willed, we had not worshipped aught beside Him, we and our fathers, nor had we forbidden aught without (command from) Him. Even so did those before them. Are the messengers charged with aught save plain conveyance (of the message)?

اور بولے شرک کرنے والے اگر چاہتا اللہ نہ پوجتے ہم اس کےسوا کسی چیز کو اور نہ ہمارے باپ اور نہ حرام ٹھہرا لیتے ہم بدون اسکے حکم کے کسی چیز کو [۵۳] اسی طرح کیا ان سے اگلوں نے سو رسولوں کے ذمہ نہیں مگر پہنچا دینا صاف صاف [۵۴]

وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِى كُلِّ أُمَّةٍۢ رَّسُولًا أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ ٱلطَّٰغُوتَ ۖ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ هَدَى ٱللَّهُ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ ٱلضَّلَٰلَةُ ۚ فَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Wa laqad ba'asnaa fee kulli ummatir Rasoolan ani'budul laaha wajtanibut Taaghoota faminhum man hadal laahu wa minhum man haqqat 'alaihid dalaalah; faseeroo fil ardi fanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mukazzibeen

And verily We have raised in every nation a messenger, (proclaiming): Serve Allah and shun false gods. Then some of them (there were) whom Allah guided, and some of them (there were) upon whom error had just hold. Do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for the deniers!

اور ہم نے اٹھائے ہیں (بھیجے ہیں) ہر امت میں رسول [۵۵] کہ بندگی کرو اللہ کی اور بچو ہڑونگے سے (جھوٹے معبودوں سے) [۵۶] پھر کسی کو ان میں سے ہدایت کی (راہ سمجھائی) اللہ نے اور کسی پر ثابت ہوئی گمراہی سو سفر کرو (چلو پھرو زمین میں) ملکوں میں پھر دیکھو کیا ہوا انجام جھٹلانے والوں کا

إِن تَحْرِصْ عَلَىٰ هُدَىٰهُمْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى مَن يُضِلُّ ۖ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ

In tahris 'alaa hudaahum fa innal laaha laa yahdee mai yudillu wa maa lahum min naasireen

Even if thou (O Muhammad) desirest their right guidance, still Allah assuredly will not guide him who misleadeth. Such have no helpers.

اگر تو طمع کرے انکو راہ پر لانے کی تو اللہ راہ نہیں دیتا جن کو بچلاتا ہے اور کوئی نہیں ان کا مددگار [۵۷]

وَأَقْسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ ۙ لَا يَبْعَثُ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَمُوتُ ۚ بَلَىٰ وَعْدًا عَلَيْهِ حَقًّۭا وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Wa aqsamoo billaahi jahda aimaanihim laa yab'asul laahu mai yamoot; balaa wa'dan 'alaihi haqqanw wa laakinna aksaran naasi laa ya'lamoon

And they swear by Allah their most binding oaths (that) Allah will not raise up him who dieth. Nay, but it is a promise (binding) upon Him in truth, but most of mankind know not,

اور قسمیں کھاتے ہیں اللہ کی سخت قسمیں کہ نہ اٹھائے گا اللہ جو کوئی مر جائے [۵۸] کیوں نہیں (بیشک اٹھائے گا) وعدہ ہو چکا ہے اس پر پکا لیکن اکثر لوگ نہیں جانتے [۵۹]

لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى يَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ كَٰذِبِينَ

Liyubaiyina lahumul lazee yakhtalifoona feehi wa liya'lamal lazeena kafarooo annahum kaanoo kaazibeen

That He may explain unto them that wherein they differ, and that those who disbelieved may know that they were liars.

اٹھائے گا تاکہ ظاہر کر دے ان پر جس بات میں کہ جھگڑتے ہیں اور تاکہ معلوم کر لیں کافر کہ وہ جھوٹے تھے [۶۰]

إِنَّمَا قَوْلُنَا لِشَىْءٍ إِذَآ أَرَدْنَٰهُ أَن نَّقُولَ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ

Innamaa qawlunaa lisha y'in izaa aradnaahu an naqoola lahoo kun fa yakoon

And Our word unto a thing, when We intend it, is only that We say unto it: Be! and it is.

ہمارا کہنا کسی چیز کو جب ہم اس کو کرنا چاہیں یہی ہے کہ کہیں اس کو ہو جا تو وہ ہو جائے [۶۱]

وَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا۟ فِى ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةًۭ ۖ وَلَأَجْرُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ

Wallazeena haajaroo fil laahi mim ba'di maa zulimoo lanubawwi' annahum fiddunyaa hasanatanw wa la ajrul Aakhirati akbar; law kaanoo ya'lamoon

And those who became fugitives for the cause of Allah after they had been oppressed, We verily shall give them goodly lodging in the world, and surely the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if they but knew;

اور جنہوں نے گھر چھوڑا اللہ کے واسطے بعد اس کے کہ ظلم اٹھایا البتہ انکو ہم ٹھکانا دیں گے دنیا میں اچھا اور ثواب آخرت کا تو بہت بڑا ہے اگر ان کو معلوم ہوتا [۶۲]

ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا۟ وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

Allazeena sabaroo wa 'alaa Rabbihim yatawak kaloon

Such as are steadfast and put their trust in Allah.

جو ثابت قدم رہے اور اپنے رب پر بھروسہ کیا [۶۳]

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًۭا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِمْ ۚ فَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟ أَهْلَ ٱلذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

Wa maaa arsalnaa min qablika illaa rijaalan nooheee ilaihim; fas'alooo ahlaz zikri in kuntum laa ta'lamoon

And We sent not (as Our messengers) before thee other than men whom We inspired - Ask the followers of the Remembrance if ye know not! -

اور تجھ سے پہلے بھی ہم نے یہی مرد بھیجے تھے کہ حکم بھیجتے تھے ہم انکی طرف سو پوچھو یاد رکھنے والوں سے اگر تم کو معلوم نہیں [۶۴]

بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَٱلزُّبُرِ ۗ وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

Bilbaiyinaati waz Zubur; wa anzalnaaa ilaikaz Zikra litubaiyina linnaasi maa nuzzila ilaihim wa la'allahum yatafakkaroon

With clear proofs and writings; and We have revealed unto thee the Remembrance that thou mayst explain to mankind that which hath been revealed for them, and that haply they may reflect.

بھیجا تھا انکو نشانیاں دے کر اور ورقے (اوراق) [۶۵] اور اتاری ہم نے تجھ پر یہ یاداشت کہ تو کھول دے لوگوں کے سامنے وہ چیز جو اتری انکے واسطے [۶۶] تاکہ وہ غور (دھیان) کریں [۶۷]

أَفَأَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَكَرُوا۟ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن يَخْسِفَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

Afa aminal lazeena makarus saiyi aati ai yakhsifal laahu bihimul arda aw yaaa tiyahumul 'azaabu min haisu laa yash'uroon

Are they who plan ill-deeds then secure that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them, or that the doom will not come on them whence they know not?

سو کیا نڈر ہو گئے وہ لوگ جو برے فریب (داؤ) کرتے ہیں اس سے کہ دھنسا دیوے اللہ ان کو زمین میں یا آ پہنچے ان پر عذاب جہاں سے خبر نہ رکھتے ہوں [۶۸]

أَوْ يَأْخُذَهُمْ فِى تَقَلُّبِهِمْ فَمَا هُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ

Aw yaakhuzahum fee taqallubihim famaa hum bi mu'jizeen

Or that He will not seize them in their going to and fro so that there be no escape for them?

یا پکڑ لے ان کو چلتے پھرتے سو وہ نہیں ہیں عاجز کرنے والے [۶۹]

أَوْ يَأْخُذَهُمْ عَلَىٰ تَخَوُّفٍۢ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌۭ رَّحِيمٌ

Aw yaakhuzahum 'alaa takhawwuf; fa inna Rabbakum la Ra'oofur Raheem

Or that He will not seize them with a gradual wasting? Lo! thy Lord is indeed Full of Pity, Merciful.

یا پکڑ لے ان کو ڈرانے کے بعد (ڈرا کر) [۷۰] سو تمہارا رب بڑا نرم ہے مہربان [۷۱]

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍۢ يَتَفَيَّؤُا۟ ظِلَٰلُهُۥ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَٱلشَّمَآئِلِ سُجَّدًۭا لِّلَّهِ وَهُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ

Awa lam yaraw ilaa maa khalaqal laahu min shai'iny-yatafaiya'u zilaaluhoo 'anil yameeni washshamaaa' ili sujjadal lillaahi wa hum daakhiroon

Have they not observed all things that Allah hath created, how their shadows incline to the right and to the left, making prostration unto Allah, and they are lowly?

کیا نہیں دیکھتے وہ جو کہ اللہ نے پیدا کی ہے کوئی چیز کہ ڈھلتے ہیں سایے ان کے داہنی طرف سے اور بائیں طرف سے سجدہ کرتے ہوئے اللہ کو اور وہ عاجزی میں ہیں [۷۲]

وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن دَآبَّةٍۢ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

Wa lillaahi yasjudu maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi min daaabbatinw walma laaa'ikatu wa hum laa yastakbiroon

And unto Allah maketh prostration whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth of living creatures, and the angels (also) and they are not proud.

اور اللہ کو سجدہ کرتا ہے جو آسمان میں ہے اور جو زمین میں ہے جانداروں سے اور فرشتے اور وہ تکبر نہیں کرتے [۷۳]

يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ ۩

yakhaafoona Rabbahum min fawqihim wa yaf'aloona maa yu'maroon

They fear their Lord above them, and do what they are bidden.

ڈر رکھتے ہیں اپنے رب کا اپنے اوپر سے اور کرتے ہیں جو حکم پاتے ہیں [۷۴]

۞ وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ لَا تَتَّخِذُوٓا۟ إِلَٰهَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۖ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ ۖ فَإِيَّٰىَ فَٱرْهَبُونِ

Wa qaalal laahu laa tatta khizooo ilaahainis naini innamaa Huwa Ilaahunw Waahid; fa iyyaaya farhaboon

Allah hath said: Choose not two gods. There is only One Allah. So of Me, Me only, be in awe.

اور کہا ہے اللہ نے مت پکڑو معبود دو وہ معبود ایک ہی ہے سو مجھ سے ڈرو [۷۵]

وَلَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَهُ ٱلدِّينُ وَاصِبًا ۚ أَفَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ تَتَّقُونَ

Wa lahoo maa fis samaawaati wal ardi wa lahud deenu waasibaa; afaghairal laahi tattaqoon

Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, and religion is His for ever. Will ye then fear any other than Allah?

اور اسی کا ہے جو کچھ ہے آسمانوں میں اور زمین میں اور اسی کی عبادت ہے (اسی کا انصاف) ہمیشہ [۷۶] سو کیا سوائے اللہ کے کسی سے ڈرتے ہو (خطرہ رکھتے ہو)

وَمَا بِكُم مِّن نِّعْمَةٍۢ فَمِنَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِذَا مَسَّكُمُ ٱلضُّرُّ فَإِلَيْهِ تَجْـَٔرُونَ

Wa maa bikum minni'matin faminal laahi summa izaa massakumud durru fa ilaihi taj'aroon

And whatever of comfort ye enjoy, it is from Allah. Then, when misfortune reacheth you, unto Him ye cry for help.

اور جو کچھ تمہارے پاس ہے نعمت سو اللہ کی طرف سے پھر جب پہنچتی ہے تم کو سختی تو اسی کی طرف چلاتے ہو (اسی سے فریاد کرتے ہو) [۷۷]

ثُمَّ إِذَا كَشَفَ ٱلضُّرَّ عَنكُمْ إِذَا فَرِيقٌۭ مِّنكُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ

Summaa izaa kashafad durra 'ankum izaa fareequm minkum bi Rabbihim yushrikoon

And afterward, when He hath rid you of the misfortune, behold! a set of you attribute partners to their Lord,

پھر جب کھول دیتا ہے سختی تم سے اسی وقت ایک فرقہ تم میں سے اپنے رب کے ساتھ لگتا ہے شریک بتانے

لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ ۚ فَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ ۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ

Liyakfuroo bimaa aatainaahum; fatamatta'oo, faswfa ta'lamoon

So as to deny that which We have given them. Then enjoy life (while ye may), for ye will come to know.

تاکہ منکر ہو جائیں اس چیز سے جو کہ ہم نے انکو دی ہے سو مزے اڑا لو آخر معلوم کر لو گے [۷۸]

وَيَجْعَلُونَ لِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ نَصِيبًۭا مِّمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ ۗ تَٱللَّهِ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمْ تَفْتَرُونَ

Wa yaj'aloona limaa laa ya'lamoona naseebam mimmaa razaqnnaahum; tallaahi latus'alunaa 'ammaa kuntum taftaroon

And they assign a portion of that which We have given them unto what they know not. By Allah! but ye will indeed be asked concerning (all) that ye used to invent.

اور ٹھہراتے ہیں ان کے لئے جن کی خبر نہیں رکھتے (جن کو خبر نہیں) ایک حصہ ہماری دی ہوئی روزی میں سے [۷۹] قسم اللہ کی تم سے پوچھنا ہے جو تم بہتان باندھتے ہو [۸۰]

وَيَجْعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ ٱلْبَنَٰتِ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ ۙ وَلَهُم مَّا يَشْتَهُونَ

Wa yaj'aloona lillaahil banaati Subhaanahoo wa lahum maa yashtahoon

And they assign unto Allah daughters - Be He Glorified! - and unto themselves what they desire;

اور ٹھہراتے ہیں اللہ کے لئے بیٹیاں وہ اس سے پاک ہے (لائق نہیں) [۸۱] اور اپنے لئے جو دل چاہتا ہے [۸۲]

وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِٱلْأُنثَىٰ ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُۥ مُسْوَدًّۭا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌۭ

Wa izaa bushshira ahaduhum bil unsaa zalla wajhuhoo muswaddanw wa huwa kazeem

When if one of them receiveth tidings of the birth of a female, his face remaineth darkened, and he is wroth inwardly.

اور جب خوشخبری ملے ان میں کسی کو بیٹی کی سارے دن رہے منہ اس کا سیاہ اور جی میں گھٹتا رہے [۸۳]

يَتَوَٰرَىٰ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ مِن سُوٓءِ مَا بُشِّرَ بِهِۦٓ ۚ أَيُمْسِكُهُۥ عَلَىٰ هُونٍ أَمْ يَدُسُّهُۥ فِى ٱلتُّرَابِ ۗ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ

yatawaaraa minal qawmimin sooo'i maa bushshira bih; a-yumsikuhoo 'alaa hoonin am yadussuhoo fit turaab; alaa saaa'a maa yahkumoon

He hideth himself from the folk because of the evil of that whereof he hath had tidings, (asking himself): Shall he keep it in contempt, or bury it beneath the dust. Verily evil is their judgment.

چھپتا پھرے لوگوں سے مارےبرائی اس خوشخبری کے جو سنی [۸۴] اس کو رہنے دے ذلت قبول کر کے یا اس کو داب دے مٹی میں [۸۵] سنتا ہے برا فیصلہ کرتے ہیں [۸۶]

لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ مَثَلُ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۖ وَلِلَّهِ ٱلْمَثَلُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

Lillazeena laa yu'minoona bil Aakhirati masalus saw'i wa lillaahil masalul a'laa; wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem

For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil similitude, and Allah's is the Sublime Similitude. He is the Mighty, the Wise.

جو نہیں مانتے آخرت کو ان کی بری مثال ہے اور اللہ کی مثال (شان) سب سے اوپر [۸۷] اور وہی ہے زبردست حکمت والا [۸۸]

وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلنَّاسَ بِظُلْمِهِم مَّا تَرَكَ عَلَيْهَا مِن دَآبَّةٍۢ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لَا يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ سَاعَةًۭ ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ

Wa law yu'aakhizul laahun naasa bizulminhim maa taraka 'alaihaa min daaabbatinw wa laakiny yu'akhkhiruhum ilaaa ajalim musamman fa izaa jaaa'a ajaluhum laa yastaakhiroona saa'atanw wa laa yastaqdimoon

If Allah were to take mankind to task for their wrong-doing, he would not leave hereon a living creature, but He reprieveth them to an appointed term, and when their term cometh they cannot put (it) off an hour nor (yet) advance (it).

اور اگر پکڑے اللہ لوگوں کو ان کی بے انصافی پر نہ چھوڑے زمین پر ایک چلنے والا لیکن ڈھیل دیتا ہے ان کو ایک وقت موعود تک پھر جب آ پہنچے گا ان کا وعدہ نہ پیچھے سرک سکیں گے ایک گھڑی اور نہ آگے سرک سکیں گے [۸۹]

وَيَجْعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ مَا يَكْرَهُونَ وَتَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُهُمُ ٱلْكَذِبَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۖ لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلنَّارَ وَأَنَّهُم مُّفْرَطُونَ

Wa yaj'aloona lillaahi maa yakrahoona wa tasifu alsinatuhumul kaziba anna lahumul husnaa laa jarama anna lahumun Naara wa annahum mufratoon

And they assign unto Allah that which they (themselves) dislike, and their tongues expound the lie that the better portion will be theirs. Assuredly theirs will be the Fire, and they will be abandoned.

اور کرتے ہیں (ٹھہراتے ہیں) اللہ کے واسطے جس کو اپنا جی نہ چاہے [۹۰] اور بیان کرتی ہیں زبانیں انکی جھوٹ کہ انکے واسطے خوبی ہے [۹۱] آپ ثابت ہے (محقق ہو گیا)کہ انکے واسطے آگ ہے اور وہ بڑھائے جارہے ہیں [۹۲]

تَٱللَّهِ لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ فَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ

Tallaahi laqad arsalnaaa ilaaa umamim min qablika fazayyana lahumush Shaitaanu a'maalahum fahuwa waliyyuhumul yawma wa lahum 'azaabun aleem

By Allah, We verily sent messengers unto the nations before thee, but the devil made their deeds fairseeming unto them. So he is their patron this day, and theirs will be a painful doom.

قسم اللہ کی ہم نے رسول بھیجے مختلف فرقوں میں تجھ سے پہلے پھر اچھے کر کے دکھلائے انکو شیطان نے ان کے کام سو وہی رفیق ان کا ہے آج اور ان کے واسطے عذاب دردناک ہے [۹۳]

وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا لِتُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ فِيهِ ۙ وَهُدًۭى وَرَحْمَةًۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Wa maaa anzalnaa 'alaikal Kitaaba illaa litubaiyina lahumul lazikh talafoo feehi wa hudanw wa rahmatal liqawminy yu'minoon

And We have revealed the Scripture unto thee only that thou mayst explain unto them that wherein they differ, and (as) a guidance and a mercy for a people who believe.

اور ہم نے اتاری تجھ پر کتاب اسی واسطے کہ کھول کر سنا دے تو ان کو وہ چیز کہ جس میں جھگڑ رہے ہیں [۹۴] اور سیدھی راہ سجھانے کو اور واسطے بخشش ایمان لانے والوں کے (رحمت ان لوگوں کے لئے جو ایمان لائے) [۹۵]

وَٱللَّهُ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَآ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَسْمَعُونَ

Wallaahu anzala minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa ahyaa bihil arda ba'da mawtihaa; inna fee zaalika la aayatal liqaw miny yasma'oon

Allah sendeth down water from the sky and therewith reviveth the earth after her death. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for a folk who hear.

اور اللہ نے اتارا آسمان سے پانی پھر اس سے زندہ کیا زمین کو اس کے مرنے کے پیچھے [۹۶]اس میں نشانی ہے ان لوگوں کو جو سنتے ہیں [۹۷]

وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ لَعِبْرَةًۭ ۖ نُّسْقِيكُم مِّمَّا فِى بُطُونِهِۦ مِنۢ بَيْنِ فَرْثٍۢ وَدَمٍۢ لَّبَنًا خَالِصًۭا سَآئِغًۭا لِّلشَّٰرِبِينَ

Wa inna lakum fil an'aami la'ibrah; nusqeekum mimmmaa fee butoonihee mim baini farsinw wa damil labanann khaalisan saaa'ighallish shaaribeen

And lo! in the cattle there is a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, from betwixt the refuse and the blood, pure milk palatable to the drinkers.

اور تمہارے واسطے چوپاؤں میں سوچنے کی جگہ ہے پلاتے ہیں تم کو اس کے پیٹ کی چیزوں میں سےگوبر اور لہو کے بیچ میں سے (درمیان سے) دودھ ستھرا [۹۸] خوشگوار پینے والوں کے لئے [۹۹]

وَمِن ثَمَرَٰتِ ٱلنَّخِيلِ وَٱلْأَعْنَٰبِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِنْهُ سَكَرًۭا وَرِزْقًا حَسَنًا ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ

Wa min samaraatin nakheeli wal a'nnaabi tattakhizoona minhu sakaranw wa rizqann hasanaa; inna fee zaalika la Aayatal liqawminy ya'qiloon

And of the fruits of the date-palm, and grapes, whence ye derive strong drink and (also) good nourishment. Lo! therein is indeed a portent for people who have sense.

اور میووں سے کھجور کے اور انگور کے بناتے ہو اس سے نشہ اور روزی خاصی [۱۰۰] اس میں نشانی ہے ان لوگوں کے واسطے جو سمجھتے ہیں (سوچتے ہیں) [۱۰۱]

وَأَوْحَىٰ رَبُّكَ إِلَى ٱلنَّحْلِ أَنِ ٱتَّخِذِى مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًۭا وَمِنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ وَمِمَّا يَعْرِشُونَ

Wa awhaa Rabbuka ilannnabli anit takhizee minal jabaali buyootanw wa minash shajari wa mimmaa ya'rishoon

And thy Lord inspired the bee, saying: Choose thou habitations in the hills and in the trees and in that which they thatch;

اور حکم دیا تیرے رب نے شہد کی مکھی کو کہ بنا لے پہاڑوں میں گھر اور درختوں میں اور جہاں ٹٹیاں باندھتے ہیں [۱۰۲]

ثُمَّ كُلِى مِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ فَٱسْلُكِى سُبُلَ رَبِّكِ ذُلُلًۭا ۚ يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بُطُونِهَا شَرَابٌۭ مُّخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَٰنُهُۥ فِيهِ شِفَآءٌۭ لِّلنَّاسِ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

Summma kulee min kullis samaraati faslukee subula Rabbiki zululaa; yakhruju mim butoonihaa sharaabum mukh talifun alwaanuhoo feehi shifaaa'ul linnaas, innna fee zaalika la Aayatal liqawminy yatafakkaroon

Then eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of thy Lord, made smooth (for thee). There cometh forth from their bellies a drink divers of hues, wherein is healing for mankind. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect.

پھر کھا ہر طرح کے میووں سے [۱۰۳] پھر چل راہوں میں (راستوں میں) اپنے رب کی صاف پڑے ہیں [۱۰۴] نکلتی ہے ان کے پیٹ میں سے پینے کی چیز جسکے مختلف رنگ ہیں [۱۰۵] اس میں مرض اچھے ہوتے ہیں لوگوں کے [۱۰۶] اس میں نشانی ہے ان لوگوں کے لئے جو دھیان کرتے ہیں [۱۰۷]

وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمْ ۚ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرْذَلِ ٱلْعُمُرِ لِكَىْ لَا يَعْلَمَ بَعْدَ عِلْمٍۢ شَيْـًٔا ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۭ قَدِيرٌۭ

Wallaahu khalaqakum suma tatawaffaakum; wa minkum many-yuradu ilaaa arzalil 'umuri likai laa ya'lama ba'da 'ilmin shai'aa; innal laaha 'Aleemun Qadeer

And Allah createth you, then causeth you to die, and among you is he who is brought back to the most abject stage of life, so that he knoweth nothing after (having had) knowledge. Lo! Allah is Knower, Powerful.

اور اللہ نے تم کو پیدا کیا پھر تم کو موت دیتا ہے اور کوئی تم میں سے پہنچ جاتا ہے نکمی عمر کو کہ سمجھنے کے پیچھے اب کچھ نہ سمجھے اللہ خبردار ہے قدرت والا [۱۰۸]

وَٱللَّهُ فَضَّلَ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ فِى ٱلرِّزْقِ ۚ فَمَا ٱلَّذِينَ فُضِّلُوا۟ بِرَآدِّى رِزْقِهِمْ عَلَىٰ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُهُمْ فَهُمْ فِيهِ سَوَآءٌ ۚ أَفَبِنِعْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ

Wallaahu faddala ba'dakum 'alaa ba'din fir rizq; famal lazeena fuddiloo biraaaddee rizqihim 'alaa maa malakat aimaanuhum fahum feehi sawaaa'; afabini'matil laahi yajhadoon

And Allah hath favoured some of you above others in provision. Now those who are more favoured will by no means hand over their provision to those (slaves) whom their right hands possess, so that they may be equal with them in respect thereof. Is it then the grace of Allah that they deny?

اور اللہ نے بڑائی دی تم میں ایک کو ایک پر روزی میں سو جن کو بڑائی دی وہ نہیں پہنچا دیتے اپنی روزی ان کو جن کے مالک ان کے ہاتھ ہیں کہ وہ سب اس میں برابر ہو جائیں کیا اللہ کی نعمت کے منکر ہیں [۱۰۹]

وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُم بَنِينَ وَحَفَدَةًۭ وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ ۚ أَفَبِٱلْبَٰطِلِ يُؤْمِنُونَ وَبِنِعْمَتِ ٱللَّهِ هُمْ يَكْفُرُونَ

Wallaahu ja'ala lakum min anfusikum azwaajanw wa ja'ala lakum min azwaajikum baneena wa hafadatanw wa razaqakum minat yaiyibaat; afabil baatili yu'minoona wa bini'matil laahi hum yakkfuroon

And Allah hath given you wives of your own kind, and hath given you, from your wives, sons and grandsons, and hath made provision of good things for you. Is it then in vanity that they believe and in the grace of Allah that they disbelieve?

اور اللہ نے پیدا کیں تمہارے واسطے تمہای ہی قسم سے عورتیں [۱۱۰] اور دیے تم کو تمہاری عورتوں سے بیٹے اور پوتے [۱۱۱] اور کھانے کو دیں تمکو ستھری چیزیں [۱۱۲] سو کیا جھوٹی باتیں مانتے ہیں اور اللہ کے فضل کو نہیں مانتے [۱۱۳]

وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ رِزْقًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ

Wa ya'budoona min doonil laahi maa laa yamliku lahum rizqam minas samaawaati wal ardi shai'anw wa laa yastatee'oon

And they worship beside Allah that which owneth no provision whatsoever for them from the heavens or the earth, nor have they (whom they worship) any power.

اور پوجتے ہیں اللہ کے سوائے ایسوں کو جو مختار نہیں انکی روزی کے آسمان اور زمین میں سے کچھ بھی [۱۱۴] اور نہ قدرت رکھتے ہیں [۱۱۵]

فَلَا تَضْرِبُوا۟ لِلَّهِ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

Falaa tadriboo lillaahil amsaal; innal laaha ya'lamu wa antum laa ta'lamoon

So coin not similitudes for Allah. Lo! Allah knoweth; ye know not.

سو مت چسپاں کرو (بٹھلاؤ) اللہ پر مثالیں [۱۱۶] بیشک اللہ جانتا ہے اور تم نہیں جانتے [۱۱۷]

۞ ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًا عَبْدًۭا مَّمْلُوكًۭا لَّا يَقْدِرُ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍۢ وَمَن رَّزَقْنَٰهُ مِنَّا رِزْقًا حَسَنًۭا فَهُوَ يُنفِقُ مِنْهُ سِرًّۭا وَجَهْرًا ۖ هَلْ يَسْتَوُۥنَ ۚ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Darabal laahu masalan 'abdam mammlookal laa yaqdiru 'alaa shai'inw wa marrazaqnaahu mminnaa rizqan hasanan fahuwa yunfiqu minhu sirranw wa jahra; hal yasta-woon; alhamdu lillaah; bal aksaruhum laa ya'lamoon

Allah coineth a similitude: (on the one hand) a (mere) chattel slave, who hath control of nothing, and (on the other hand) one on whom we have bestowed a fair provision from Us, and he spendeth thereof secretly and openly. Are they equal? Praise be to Allah! But most of them know not.

اللہ نے بتلائی ایک مثال ایک بندہ (غلام) پرایا مال نہیں قدرت رکھتا کسی چیز پر اور ایک جسکو ہم نے روزی دی اپنی طرف سے خاصی روزی سو وہ خرچ کرتا ہے اس میں سے چھپا کر اور سب کے روبرو کہیں برابر ہوتے ہیں سب تعریف اللہ کو ہے پر بہت لوگ نہیں جانتے [۱۱۸]

وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًۭا رَّجُلَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَآ أَبْكَمُ لَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍۢ وَهُوَ كَلٌّ عَلَىٰ مَوْلَىٰهُ أَيْنَمَا يُوَجِّههُّ لَا يَأْتِ بِخَيْرٍ ۖ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى هُوَ وَمَن يَأْمُرُ بِٱلْعَدْلِ ۙ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ

Wa darabal laahu masalar rajulaini ahaduhumaaa abkamu laa yaqdiru 'alaa shai'inw wa huwa kallun 'alaa mawlaahu ainamaa yuwajjihhu laa yaati bikhairin hal yastawee huwa wa many-yaamuru bil'adli wa huwa 'alaa Siraatim MMustaqeem

And Allah coineth a similitude: Two men, one of them dumb, having control of nothing, and he is a burden on his owner; whithersoever he directeth him to go, he bringeth no good. Is he equal with one who enjoineth justice and followeth a straight path (of conduct)?

اور بتائی اللہ نے ایک دوسری مثال دو مرد ہیں ایک گونگا [۱۱۹] کچھ کام نہیں کر سکتا [۱۲۰] اور وہ بھاری ہے اپنے صاحب (مالک) پر جس طرف اسکو بھیجے نہ کر کے لائے کچھ بھلائی [۱۲۱] کہیں برابر ہے وہ اور ایک وہ شخص جو حکم کرتا ہے انصاف سے اور ہے سیدھی راہ پر [۱۲۲]

وَلِلَّهِ غَيْبُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَآ أَمْرُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ إِلَّا كَلَمْحِ ٱلْبَصَرِ أَوْ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ

Wa lillaahi ghaibus samaawaati wal ard; wa maaa amrus Saa'ati illaa kalamhil basari aw huwa aqrab; innal laaha 'alaaa kulli shai'in Qadeer

And unto Allah belongeth the Unseen of the heavens and the earth, and the matter of the Hour (of Doom) is but as a twinkling of the eye, or it is nearer still. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things.

اور اللہ ہے کہ پاس ہیں بھید آسمانوں اور زمین کے [۱۲۳] اور قیامت کا کام تو ایسا ہے جسیے لپک نگاہ کی یا اس سے بھی قریب [۱۲۴] اور اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے [۱۲۵]

وَٱللَّهُ أَخْرَجَكُم مِّنۢ بُطُونِ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ شَيْـًۭٔا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۙ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

Wallaahu akhrajakum mim butooni ummahaatikum laa ta'lamoona shai'anw wa ja'ala lakumus sam'a wal absaara wal af'idata la'allakum tashkuroon

And Allah brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers knowing nothing, and gave you hearing and sight and hearts that haply ye might give thanks.

اور اللہ نے تم کو نکالا تمہاری ماں کے پیٹ سے نہ جانتے تھے تم کسی چیز کو اور دیئے تم کو کان اور آنکھیں اور دل تاکہ تم احسان مانو [۱۲۶]

أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلطَّيْرِ مُسَخَّرَٰتٍۢ فِى جَوِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Alam yaraw ilat tairi musakhkharaatin fee jawwis samaaa'i maa yumsikuhunna illal laah; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawminy yu'minoon

Have they not seen the birds obedient in mid-air? None holdeth them save Allah. Lo! herein, verily, are portents for a people who believe.

کیا نہیں دیکھے اڑتے جانور حکم کے باندھے ہوئے آسمان کی ہوا میں کوئی نہیں تھام رہا ان کو سوائے اللہ کے [۱۲۷] اس میں نشانیاں ہیں ان لوگوں کو جو یقین لاتے ہیں [۱۲۸]

وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنۢ بُيُوتِكُمْ سَكَنًۭا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّن جُلُودِ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ بُيُوتًۭا تَسْتَخِفُّونَهَا يَوْمَ ظَعْنِكُمْ وَيَوْمَ إِقَامَتِكُمْ ۙ وَمِنْ أَصْوَافِهَا وَأَوْبَارِهَا وَأَشْعَارِهَآ أَثَٰثًۭا وَمَتَٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ

Wallaahu ja'ala lakum min juloodil an'aami buyootan tastakhif foonahaa yawma za'nikum wa yawma iqaamatikum wa min aswaafihaa wa awbaarihaa wa ash'aarihaaa asaasanw wa mataa'an ilaa been

And Allah hath given you in your houses an abode, and hath given you (also), of the hides of cattle, houses which ye find light (to carry) on the day of migration and on the day of pitching camp; and of their wool and their fur and their hair, caparison and comfort for a while.

اور اللہ نے بنا دیئے تم کو تمہارے گھر بسنے کی جگہ [۱۲۹] اور بنا دیئے تم کو چوپاؤں کی کھال سے ڈیرے جو ہلکے رہتے ہیں تم پر جس دن سفر میں ہو اور جس دن گھر میں [۱۳۰] اور بھیڑوں کی اون سے اور اونٹوں کی ببریوں سے [۱۳۱] اور بکریوں کے بالوں سے کتنے اسباب اور استعمال کی چیزیں وقت مقرر تک [۱۳۲]

وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّمَّا خَلَقَ ظِلَٰلًۭا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ أَكْنَٰنًۭا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ سَرَٰبِيلَ تَقِيكُمُ ٱلْحَرَّ وَسَرَٰبِيلَ تَقِيكُم بَأْسَكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُتِمُّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْلِمُونَ

Wallaahu ja'ala lakum mimmaa khalaqa zilaalanw wa ja'ala lakum minal jibaali aknaananw wa ja'ala lakum saraabeela taqeekumul harra wa saraabeela taqeekum baasakum; kazaalika yutimmu ni'matahoo alaikum la'allakum tuslimoon

And Allah hath given you, of that which He hath created, shelter from the sun; and hath given you places of refuge in the mountains, and hath given you coats to ward off the heat from you, and coats (of armour) to save you from your own foolhardiness. Thus doth He perfect His favour unto you, in order that ye may surrender (unto Him).

اور اللہ نے بنا دیئے تمہارے واسطے اپنی بنائی ہوئی چیزوں کے سائے [۱۳۳] اور بنا دیں تمہارےواسطے پہاڑوں میں چھپنے کی جگہیں [۱۳۴] اور بنا دیے تم کو کرتے جو بچاؤ ہیں گرمی میں [۱۳۵] اور کرتے جو بچاؤ ہیں لڑائی میں [۱۳۶] اسی طرح پورا کرتا ہے اپنا احسان تم پر تاکہ تم حکم مانو [۱۳۷]

فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

Fa in tawallaw fa innamaa 'alaikal balaaghul mubeen

Then, if they turn away, thy duty (O Muhammad) is but plain conveyance (of the message).

پھر اگر پھر جائیں تو تیرا کام تو یہی ہے کھول کر سنا دینا [۱۳۸]

يَعْرِفُونَ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُنكِرُونَهَا وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

Ya'rifoona ni'matal laahi summa yunkiroonahaa wa aksaruhumul kaafiroon

They know the favour of Allah and then deny it. Most of them are ingrates.

پہچانتے ہیں اللہ کا احسان پھر منکر ہو جاتے ہیں اور بہت ان میں ناشکر ہیں [۱۳۹]

وَيَوْمَ نَبْعَثُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍۢ شَهِيدًۭا ثُمَّ لَا يُؤْذَنُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ

Wa yawma nab'asu min kulli ummatin shaheedan summa laa yu'zanu lillazeena kafaroo wa laa hum yusta'taboon

And (bethink you of) the day when we raise up of every nation a witness, then there is no leave for disbelievers, nor are they allowed to make amends.

اور جس دن کھڑا کریں ہم ہر فرقہ میں ایک بتلانے والا پھر حکم (اجازت) نہ ملے منکروں کو اور نہ ان سے توبہ لی جائے [۱۴۰]

وَإِذَا رَءَا ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ

Wa izaa ra al lazeena zalamul 'azaaba falaa yukhaf fafu 'anhum wa laa hum yunzaroon

And when those who did wrong behold the doom, it will not be made light for them, nor will they be reprieved.

اور جب دیکھیں گے ظالم عذاب کو پھر ہلکا نہ ہو گا ان سے اور نہ ان کو ڈھیل ملے [۱۴۱]

وَإِذَا رَءَا ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ شُرَكَآءَهُمْ قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُرَكَآؤُنَا ٱلَّذِينَ كُنَّا نَدْعُوا۟ مِن دُونِكَ ۖ فَأَلْقَوْا۟ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَوْلَ إِنَّكُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ

Wa izaa ra al lazeena ashrakoo shurakaaa'ahum qaaloo Rabbana haaa'ulaaa'i shurakaaa'unal lazeena kunnaa nad'oo min doonika fa alqaw ilaihimul qawla innakum lakaaziboon

And when those who ascribed partners to Allah behold those partners of theirs, they will say: Our Lord! these are our partners unto whom we used to cry instead of Thee. But they will fling to them the saying: Lo! ye verily are liars!

اور جب دیکھیں مشرک اپنے شریکوں کو بولیں اے رب یہ ہمارے شریک ہیں جن کو ہم پکارتے تھے تیرے سوائے [۱۴۲] تب وہ ان پر ڈالیں گے بات کہ تم جھوٹے ہو [۱۴۳]

وَأَلْقَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلسَّلَمَ ۖ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ

Wa alqaw ilal laahi yawma'izinis salama wa dalla 'anhum maa kaanoo yaftaroon

And they proffer unto Allah submission on that day, and all that they used to invent hath failed them.

اور آ پڑیں اللہ کے آگے اس دن عاجز ہو کر اور بھول جائیں (جائے گی ان سے) جو جھوٹ باندھتے تھے [۱۴۴]

ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ زِدْنَٰهُمْ عَذَابًۭا فَوْقَ ٱلْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يُفْسِدُونَ

Allazeena kafaroo wa saddoo 'an sabeelil laahi zidnaahum 'azaaban fawqal 'azaabi bimaa kaanoo yufsidoon

For those who disbelieve and debar (men) from the way of Allah, We add doom to doom because they wrought corruption,

جو لوگ منکر ہوئے ہیں اور روکتے رہے ہیں اللہ کی راہ سے انکو ہم بڑھا دیں گے عذاب پر عذاب بدلہ اس کا جو شرارت کرتے تھے [۱۴۵]

وَيَوْمَ نَبْعَثُ فِى كُلِّ أُمَّةٍۢ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ ۖ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ شَهِيدًا عَلَىٰ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ۚ وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ تِبْيَٰنًۭا لِّكُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَهُدًۭى وَرَحْمَةًۭ وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ

Wa yawma nab'asu fee kulli ummmatin shaheedan 'alaihim min anfusihim wa ji'naa bika shaheedan 'alaa haaa'ulaaa'; wa nazzalnaa 'alaikal Kitaaba tibyaanal likulli shai'inw wa hudanw wa rahmatanw wa bushraa lilmuslimeen

And (bethink you of) the day when We raise in every nation a witness against them of their own folk, and We bring thee (Muhammad) as a witness against these. And We reveal the Scripture unto thee as an exposition of all things, and a guidance and a mercy and good tidings for those who have surrendered (to Allah).

اور جس دن کھڑا کریں گے ہم ہر فرقہ میں ایک بتلانے والا ان پر انہی میں کا اور تجھ کو لائیں بتلانے کو ان لوگوں پر [۱۴۶] اور اتاری ہم نے تجھ پر کتاب کھلا بیان ہر چیز کا [۱۴۷] اور ہدایت اور رحمت اور خوشخبری حکم ماننے والوں کے لئے [۱۴۸]

۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأْمُرُ بِٱلْعَدْلِ وَٱلْإِحْسَٰنِ وَإِيتَآئِ ذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَيَنْهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلْفَحْشَآءِ وَٱلْمُنكَرِ وَٱلْبَغْىِ ۚ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ

Innal laaha yaamaru bil 'adli wal ihsaani wa eetaaa'i zil qurbaa wa yanhaa 'anil fahshaaa'i wal munkari walbagh-i' ya'izukum la'allakum tazakkkaroon

Lo! Allah enjoineth justice and kindness, and giving to kinsfolk, and forbiddeth lewdness and abomination and wickedness. He exhorteth you in order that ye may take heed.

اللہ حکم کرتا ہے انصاف کرنے کا اور بھلائی کرنے کا اور قرابت والوں کے (کو) دینے کا [۱۴۹] اور منع کرتا ہے بے حیائی سے اور نامعقول کام سے اور سرکشی سے [۱۵۰] تم کو سمجھاتا ہے تاکہ تم یاد رکھو [۱۵۱]

وَأَوْفُوا۟ بِعَهْدِ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا عَٰهَدتُّمْ وَلَا تَنقُضُوا۟ ٱلْأَيْمَٰنَ بَعْدَ تَوْكِيدِهَا وَقَدْ جَعَلْتُمُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَيْكُمْ كَفِيلًا ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ

Wa awfoo bi Ahdil laahi izaa 'aahattum wa laa tanqudul aimaana ba'da tawkeedihaa wa qad ja'altumul laaha 'alaikum kafeelaa; innal laaha ya'lamu maa taf'aloon

Fulfil the covenant of Allah when ye have covenanted, and break not your oaths after the asseveration of them, and after ye have made Allah surety over you. Lo! Allah knoweth what ye do.

اور پورا کرو عہد اللہ کا جب آپس میں عہد کرو اور نہ توڑو قسموں کو پکا کرنے کے بعد اور تم نے کیا ہے اللہ کو اپنا ضامن اللہ جانتا ہے جو تم کرتےہو [۱۵۲]

وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّتِى نَقَضَتْ غَزْلَهَا مِنۢ بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ أَنكَٰثًۭا تَتَّخِذُونَ أَيْمَٰنَكُمْ دَخَلًۢا بَيْنَكُمْ أَن تَكُونَ أُمَّةٌ هِىَ أَرْبَىٰ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ ۚ إِنَّمَا يَبْلُوكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦ ۚ وَلَيُبَيِّنَنَّ لَكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ مَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ

Wa laa takoonoo kallatee naqadat ghazlahaa mim ba'di quwwatin ankaasaa; tattakhizoona aimaanakum dakhlalam bainakum an takoona ummatun hiya arbaa min ummah; innnamaa yablookumul laahu bih; wa la yubaiyinanna lakum yawmal Qiyaamati maa kuntum fee takhtalifoon

And be not like unto her who unravelleth the thread, after she hath made it strong, to thin filaments, making your oaths a deceit between you because of a nation being more numerous than (another) nation. Allah only trieth you thereby, and He verily will explain to you on the Day of Resurrection that wherein ye differed.

اور مت رہو جیسے وہ عورت کہ توڑا اس نے اپنا سوت کاتا ہوا محنت (مضبوط کرنے ) کے بعد ٹکڑے ٹکڑے [۱۵۳] کہ ٹھہراؤ اپنی قسموں کو دخل دینے کا بہانہ ایک دوسرے میں (آپس میں) اس واسطے کہ ایک فرقہ ہو چڑھا ہوا دوسرے سے [۱۵۴] یہ تو اللہ پر کھتا ہے تمکو اس سے [۱۵۵] اور آئندہ کھول دے گا اللہ تم کو قیامت کے دن جس بات میں تم جھگڑ رہے تھے [۱۵۶]

وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ وَلَٰكِن يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَلَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Wa law shaaa'al laahu laja'alakum ummmatanw waahidatanw wa laakiny yudillu many-yashaaa'u wa yahdee many-yashaaa'; wa latus'alunna 'ammaa kuntum ta'maloon

Had Allah willed He could have made you (all) one nation, but He sendeth whom He will astray and guideth whom He will, and ye will indeed be asked of what ye used to do.

اور اللہ چاہتا تو تم سب کو ایک ہی فرقہ کر دیتا ہے لیکن راہ بھلاتا ہے جس کو چاہے اور سمجھاتا ہے جس کو چاہے [۱۵۷] اور تم سے پوچھ ہو گی جو کام تم کرتے تھے [۱۵۸]

وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَكُمْ دَخَلًۢا بَيْنَكُمْ فَتَزِلَّ قَدَمٌۢ بَعْدَ ثُبُوتِهَا وَتَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلسُّوٓءَ بِمَا صَدَدتُّمْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَلَكُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

Wa laa tattakhizooo aimaanakum dakhalam bainakum ftazilla qadamum ba'da subootihaa wa tazooqus sooo'a bimmaa sadattum 'an sabeelil laahi wa lakum 'azaabun 'azeem

Make not your oaths a deceit between you, lest a foot should slip after being firmly planted and ye should taste evil forasmuch as ye debarred (men) from the way of Allah, and yours should be an awful doom.

اور نہ ٹھہراؤ اپنی قسموں کو دھوکا [فریب] آپس میں کہ ڈگ نہ جائے کسی کا پاؤں جمنے کے پیچھے اور تم چکھو سزا اس بات پر کہ تم نے روکا اللہ کی راہ سے اور تم کو بڑا عذاب ہو [۱۵۹]

وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا۟ بِعَهْدِ ٱللَّهِ ثَمَنًۭا قَلِيلًا ۚ إِنَّمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

Wa laa tashtaroo bi 'ahdil laahi samanan qaleelaa; innamaa 'indal laahi huwa khairul lakum in kuntum ta'lamoon

And purchase not a small gain at the price of Allah's covenant. Lo! that which Allah hath is better for you, if ye did but know.

اور نہ لو اللہ کے عہد پر مول (مال) تھوڑا سا بیشک جو اللہ کے یہاں ہے وہی بہتر ہے تمہارے حق میں اگر تم جانتے ہو [۱۶۰]

مَا عِندَكُمْ يَنفَدُ ۖ وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ بَاقٍۢ ۗ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوٓا۟ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

maa 'indakum yanfadu wa maa 'indal laahi baaq; wa lanajziyannal lazeena sabarooo ajjrahum bi ahsani maa kaanoo ya'maloon

That which ye have wasteth away, and that which Allah hath remaineth. And verily We shall pay those who are steadfast a recompense in proportion to the best of what they used to do.

جو تمہارے پاس ہے ختم ہو جائے گا اور جو اللہ کے پاس ہے کبھی ختم نہ ہو گا (سو رہنے والا ہے) [۱۶۱] اور ہم بدلے میں دیں گے صبر کرنے والوں کو ان کا حق اچھے کاموں پر جو کرتے تھے [۱۶۲]

مَنْ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌۭ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُۥ حَيَوٰةًۭ طَيِّبَةًۭ ۖ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Man 'amila saaliham min zakarin aw unsaa wa huwa mu'minun falanuhyiyannahoo hayaatan taiiyibatanw wa lanajzi yannnahum ajrahum bi ahsani maa kaanoo ya'maloon

Whosoever doeth right, whether male or female, and is a believer, him verily we shall quicken with good life, and We shall pay them a recompense in proportion to the best of what they used to do.

جس نے کیا نیک کام مرد ہو یا عورت ہو اور وہ ایمان پر ہے تو اس کو ہم زندگی دیں گے ایک اچھی زندگی [۱۶۳] اور بدلے میں دیں گے ان کو حق ان کا بہتر کاموں پر جو کرتے تھے

فَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ فَٱسْتَعِذْ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ

Fa izaa qara tal Quraana fasta'iz billaahi minashh Shai taanir rajeem

And when thou recitest the Qur'an, seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast.

سو جب تو پڑھنے لگے قرآن تو پناہ لے اللہ کی شیطان مردود سے [۱۶۴]

إِنَّهُۥ لَيْسَ لَهُۥ سُلْطَٰنٌ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

Innahoo laisa lahoo sultaanun 'alal lazeena aamanoo wa 'alaa Rabbihim yatawakkaloon

Lo! he hath no power over those who believe and put trust in their Lord.

اس کا زور نہیں چلتا ان پر جو ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور اپنے رب پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں [۱۶۵]

إِنَّمَا سُلْطَٰنُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَوَلَّوْنَهُۥ وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِهِۦ مُشْرِكُونَ

Innnamaa sultaanuhoo 'alal lazeena yatawallawnahoo wallazeena hum bihee mushrikoon

His power is only over those who make a friend of him, and those who ascribe partners unto Him (Allah).

اس کا زور تو انہی پر ہے جو اس کو رفیق سمجھتے ہیں اور جو اسکو شریک مانتے ہیں [۱۶۶]

وَإِذَا بَدَّلْنَآ ءَايَةًۭ مَّكَانَ ءَايَةٍۢ ۙ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُنَزِّلُ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُفْتَرٍۭ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Wa izaa baddalnaaa Aayatam makaana Aayatinw wal laahu a'lamu bimaa yunazzilu qaalooo innamaa anta muftar; bal aksaruhum laa ya'lamoon

And when We put a revelation in place of (another) revelation, - and Allah knoweth best what He revealeth - they say: Lo! thou art but inventing. Most of them know not.

اور جب ہم بدلتے ہیں ایک آیت کی جگہ دوسری آیت اور اللہ خوب جانتا ہے جو اتارتا ہے تو کہتے ہیں تو تو بنا لاتا ہے یہ بات نہیں پر اکثروں کو ان میں خبر نہیں [۱۶۷]

قُلْ نَزَّلَهُۥ رُوحُ ٱلْقُدُسِ مِن رَّبِّكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ لِيُثَبِّتَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَهُدًۭى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ

Qul nazzalahoo Roohul Qudusi mir Rabbika bilhaqqi liyusabbital lazeena aamanoo wa hudanw wa bushraa lilmuslimeen

Say: The holy Spirit hath delivered it from thy Lord with truth, that it may confirm (the faith of) those who believe, and as guidance and good tidings for those who have surrendered (to Allah).

تو کہہ اس کو اتارا ہے پاک فرشتے نے تیرے رب کی طرف سے بلاشبہ [۱۶۸] تاکہ ثابت کرے ایمان والوں کو اور ہدایت اور خوشخبری مسلمانوں کے واسطے [۱۶۹]

وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّمَا يُعَلِّمُهُۥ بَشَرٌۭ ۗ لِّسَانُ ٱلَّذِى يُلْحِدُونَ إِلَيْهِ أَعْجَمِىٌّۭ وَهَٰذَا لِسَانٌ عَرَبِىٌّۭ مُّبِينٌ

Wa laqad na'lamu annahum yaqooloona innamaa yu'allimuhoo bashar; lisaanul lazee yulhidoona ilaihi a'ja miyyunw wa haaza lisaanun 'Arabiyyum mubeen

And We know well that they say: Only a man teacheth him. The speech of him at whom they falsely hint is outlandish, and this is clear Arabic speech.

اور ہم کو خوب معلوم ہے کہ وہ کہتے ہیں اس کو تو سکھلاتا ہے ایک آدمی [۱۷۰] جس کی طرف تعریض کرتے ہیں اس کی زبان ہے عجمی اور یہ قرآن زبان عربی ہے صاف [۱۷۱]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَهْدِيهِمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

Innal lazeena laa yu'minoona bi Aayaatil laahi laa yahdehimul laahu wa lahum 'azaabun aleem

Lo! those who disbelieve the revelations of Allah, Allah guideth them not and theirs will be a painful doom.

وہ لوگ جن کو اللہ کی باتوں پر یقین نہیں ان کو اللہ راہ نہیں دیتا اور ان کےلئے عذاب دردناک ہے [۱۷۲]

إِنَّمَا يَفْتَرِى ٱلْكَذِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَٰذِبُونَ

Innamaa yaftaril kazibal lazeena laa yu'minoona bi Aayaatil laahi wa ulaaa'ika humul kaaziboon

Only they invent falsehood who believe not Allah's revelations, and (only) they are the liars.

جھوٹ تو وہ لوگ بناتے ہیں جن کو یقین نہیں اللہ کی باتوں پر اور وہی لوگ جھوٹے ہیں [۱۷۳]

مَن كَفَرَ بِٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِيمَٰنِهِۦٓ إِلَّا مَنْ أُكْرِهَ وَقَلْبُهُۥ مُطْمَئِنٌّۢ بِٱلْإِيمَٰنِ وَلَٰكِن مَّن شَرَحَ بِٱلْكُفْرِ صَدْرًۭا فَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَبٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

man kafara billaahi mim ba'di eemaanihee illaa man ukriha wa qalbuhoo mutmma'innum bil eemaani wa laakim man sharaha bilkufri sadran fa'alaihim ghadabum minal laahi wa lahum 'azaabun 'azeem

Whoso disbelieveth in Allah after his belief - save him who is forced thereto and whose heart is still content with the Faith - but whoso findeth ease in disbelief: On them is wrath from Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.

جو کوئی منکر ہوا اللہ سے یقین لانے کے پیچھے مگر وہ نہیں جس پر زبردستی کی گئ اور اس کا دل برقرار ہے ایمان پر [۱۷۴] و لیکن جو کوئی دل کھول کر منکر ہوا سو ان پر غضب ہے اللہ کا اور ان کو بڑا عذاب ہے

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ ٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا عَلَى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

Zaalika bi annahumus tahabbul hayaatad dunyaa 'alal Aakhirati wa annal laaha laa yahdil qawmal kaafireen

That is because they have chosen the life of the world rather than the Hereafter, and because Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk.

یہ اس واسطے کہ انہوں نے عزیز رکھا دنیا کی زندگی کو آخرت سے اور اللہ راستہ نہیں دیتا منکر لوگوں کو [۱۷۵]

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ طَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَٰرِهِمْ ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰفِلُونَ

Ulaaa'ikal lazeena taba'al laahu 'alaa quloobihim wa sam'ihim wa absaarihim wa ulaaa'ika humul ghaafiloon

Such are they whose hearts and ears and eyes Allah hath sealed. And such are the heedless.

یہ وہی ہیں کہ مہر کر دی اللہ نے ان کے دل پر اور کانوں پر اور آنکھوں پر اور یہی ہیں بے ہوش [۱۷۶]

لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ

Laa jarama annnahum fil Aakhirati humul khassiroon

Assuredly in the Hereafter they are the losers.

خود ظاہر ہے کہ آخرت میں یہی لوگ خراب ہیں [۱۷۷]

ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا فُتِنُوا۟ ثُمَّ جَٰهَدُوا۟ وَصَبَرُوٓا۟ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهَا لَغَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Summa inna Rabbaka lillazeena haajaroo mim ba'dimaa futinoo summma jaahadoo wa sabaroo inna Rabbaka mim ba'dihaa la Ghafoorur Raheem

Then lo! thy Lord - for those who became fugitives after they had been persecuted, and then fought and were steadfast - lo! thy Lord afterward is (for them) indeed Forgiving, Merciful.

پھر بات یہ ہے کہ تیرا رب ان لوگوں پر کہ انہوں نے وطن چھوڑا ہے بعد اس کے مصیبت (بچلائے گئے) اٹھائی پھر جہاد کرتے رہے اور قائم رہے بیشک تیرا رب ان باتوں کے بعد بخشنے والا مہربان ہے [۱۷۸]

۞ يَوْمَ تَأْتِى كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ تُجَٰدِلُ عَن نَّفْسِهَا وَتُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ مَّا عَمِلَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ

Yawma taatee kullu nafsin tujaadilu 'an nafsihaa wa tuwaffaa kullu nafsim maa 'amilat wa hum laa yuzlamoon

On the Day when every soul will come pleading for itself, and every soul will be repaid what it did, and they will not be wronged.

جس دن آئے گا ہر جی جواب سوال کرتا اپنی طرف سے [۱۷۹] اور پورا ملے گا ہر کسی کو جو اس نے کمایا اور ان پر ظلم نہ ہو گا [۱۸۰]

وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًۭا قَرْيَةًۭ كَانَتْ ءَامِنَةًۭ مُّطْمَئِنَّةًۭ يَأْتِيهَا رِزْقُهَا رَغَدًۭا مِّن كُلِّ مَكَانٍۢ فَكَفَرَتْ بِأَنْعُمِ ٱللَّهِ فَأَذَٰقَهَا ٱللَّهُ لِبَاسَ ٱلْجُوعِ وَٱلْخَوْفِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ

Wa darabal laahu masalan qaryatan kaanat aaminatam mutma'innatany yaaateehaa rizquhaa rghadam min kulli makaanin fakafarat bi an'umil laahi fa azaaqahal laahu libaasal joo'i walkhawfi bimaa kaanoo yasna'oon

Allah coineth a similitude: a township that dwelt secure and well content, its provision coming to it in abundance from every side, but it disbelieved in Allah's favours, so Allah made it experience the garb of dearth and fear because of what they used to do.

اور بتلائی اللہ نے ایک مثال (مثل) ایک بستی تھی چین امن سے [۱۸۱] چلی آتی تھی اسکو روزی فراغت کی ہر جگہ سے [۱۸۲] پھر ناشکری کی اللہ کے احسانوں کی پھر چکھایا اس کو اللہ نے مزہ کہ ان کے تن کے کپڑے ہو گئے بھوک اور ڈر بدلہ اس کا جو وہ کرتے تھے [۱۸۳]

وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَهُمْ ظَٰلِمُونَ

Wa laqad jaaa'ahum Rasoolum minhum fakazzaboohu fa akhazahumul 'azaabu wa hum zaalimoon

And verily there had come unto them a messenger from among them, but they had denied him, and so the torment seized them while they were wrong-doers.

اور ان کے پاس پہنچ چکا رسول انہی میں کا پھر اس کو جھٹلایا پھر آ پکڑا انکو عذاب نے اور وہ گنہگار تھے [۱۸۴]

فَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ حَلَٰلًۭا طَيِّبًۭا وَٱشْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ

Fakuloo mimmaa razaqa kumul laahu halaalan taiyibanw washkuroo ni'matal laahi in kuntum iyyaahu ta'budoon

So eat of the lawful and good food which Allah hath provided for you, and thank the bounty of your Lord if it is Him ye serve.

سو کھاؤ جو روزی دی تم کو اللہ نے حلال اور پاک اور شکر کرو اللہ کے احسان کا اگر تم اسی کو پوجتے ہو [۱۸۵]

إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَيْتَةَ وَٱلدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ ٱلْخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦ ۖ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍۢ وَلَا عَادٍۢ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Innamaa harrma 'alai kumul maitata waddama wa lahmal khinzeeri wa maaa uhilla lighairil laahi bihee famanid turra ghaira baaghinw wa laa 'aadin fa innal laaha Ghafoorur Raheem

He hath forbidden for you only carrion and blood and swineflesh and that which hath been immolated in the name of any other than Allah; but he who is driven thereto, neither craving nor transgressing, lo! then Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

اللہ نے تو یہی حرام کیا ہےتم پر مردار اور لہو اور سور کا گوشت اور جس پر نام پکارا اللہ کے سوا کسی اور کا پھر جو کوئی ناچار ہو جائے نہ زور کرتا ہو نہ زیادتی تو اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے [۱۸۶]

وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُكُمُ ٱلْكَذِبَ هَٰذَا حَلَٰلٌۭ وَهَٰذَا حَرَامٌۭ لِّتَفْتَرُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَ

Wa laa taqooloo limaa tasifu alsinatukumul kaziba haaza halaalunw wa haazaa haraamul litaftaroo 'alal laahil kazib; innal lazeena yaftaroona 'alal laahil kaziba laa yuflihoon

And speak not, concerning that which your own tongues qualify (as clean or unclean), the falsehood: "This is lawful, and this is forbidden," so that ye invent a lie against Allah. Lo! those who invent a lie against Allah will not succeed.

اور مت کہو اپنی زبانوں کے جھوٹ بنا لینے سے کہ یہ حلال ہے اور یہ حرام ہے کہ اللہ پر بہتان باندھو [۱۸۷] بیشک جو بہتان باندھتے ہیں اللہ پر ان کا بھلا نہ ہو گا

مَتَٰعٌۭ قَلِيلٌۭ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ

Mata'un qaleelunw wa lahum 'azaabun aleem

A brief enjoyment (will be theirs); and theirs a painful doom.

تھوڑا سا فائدہ اٹھا لیں اور ان کےواسطے عذاب دردناک ہے [۱۸۸]

وَعَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ حَرَّمْنَا مَا قَصَصْنَا عَلَيْكَ مِن قَبْلُ ۖ وَمَا ظَلَمْنَٰهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ

Wa 'alal lazeena haadoo harramnaa ma qasasnaa 'alaika min qablu wa maa zalamanaahum wa laakin kaanoo anfusahum wa laakin kaanoo anfusahum yazlimoon

And unto those who are Jews We have forbidden that which We have already related unto thee. And We wronged them not, but they were wont to wrong themselves.

اور جو لوگ یہودی ہیں ان پر ہم نے حرام کیا تھا جو تجھ کو پہلے سنا چکے اور ہم نے ان پر ظلم نہیں کیا پر وہ اپنے اوپر آپ ظلم کرتے تھے [۱۸۹]

ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِينَ عَمِلُوا۟ ٱلسُّوٓءَ بِجَهَٰلَةٍۢ ثُمَّ تَابُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوٓا۟ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهَا لَغَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌ

Summma inna Rabbaka lillazeena 'amilus sooo'a bijahaalatin summa taaboo mim ba'di zaaalika wa aslahoo inna Rabbaka mim ba'dihaa la Ghafoorur Raheem

Then lo! thy Lord - for those who do evil in ignorance and afterward repent and amend - lo! (for them) thy Lord is afterward indeed Forgiving, Merciful.

پھر بات یہ ہے کہ تیرا رب ان لوگوں پر جنہوں نے برائی کی نادانی سے [۱۹۰] پھر توبہ کی اس کے پیچھے اور سنوارا اپنے کام کو سو تیرا رب ان باتوں کے پیچھے بخشنے والا مہربان ہے [۱۹۱]

إِنَّ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ كَانَ أُمَّةًۭ قَانِتًۭا لِّلَّهِ حَنِيفًۭا وَلَمْ يَكُ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

Inna Ibraaheema kaana ummatan qaanital lillaahi Haneefanw wa lam yakuminal mushrikeen

Lo! Abraham was a nation obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the idolaters;

اصل میں تو ابراہیم تھا راہ ڈالنے والا فرمانبردار اللہ کا سب سے ایک طرف ہو کر اور نہ تھا شرک والوں میں [۱۹۲]

شَاكِرًۭا لِّأَنْعُمِهِ ۚ ٱجْتَبَىٰهُ وَهَدَىٰهُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ

Shaakiral li an'umih; ijtabaahu wa hadaahu ilaa Siraatim Muustaqeem

Thankful for His bounties; He chose him and He guided him unto a straight path.

حق ماننے والا اس کے احسانوں کا [۱۹۳] اس کو اللہ نے چن لیا اور چلایا سیدھی راہ پر [۱۹۴]

وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةًۭ ۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

Wa aatainaahu fid dunyaa hasanah; wa innahoo fil Aakhirati laminas saaliheen

And We gave him good in the world, and in the Hereafter he is among the righteous.

اور دی ہم نے دنیا میں اس کو خوبی [۱۹۵] اور وہ آخرت میں اچھے لوگوں میں ہے [۱۹۶]

ثُمَّ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ أَنِ ٱتَّبِعْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ حَنِيفًۭا ۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

Summma awhainaa ilaika anit tabi' Millata Ibraaheema haneefaa; wa maa kaana minal mushrikeen

And afterward We inspired thee (Muhammad, saying): Follow the religion of Abraham, as one by nature upright. He was not of the idolaters.

پھر حکم بھیجا ہم نے تجھ کو کہ چل دین ابراہیم پر جو ایک طرف کا تھا اور نہ تھا وہ شرک والوں میں [۱۹۷]

إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ ٱلسَّبْتُ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ فِيهِ ۚ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ

Innnamaa ju'ilas Sabtu 'alal lazeenakhtalafoo feeh; wa inna Rabbaka la yahkumu bainahum Yawmal Qiyaamati feemaa kaanoo feehi yakhtalifoon

The Sabbath was appointed only for those who differed concerning it, and lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ.

ہفتہ کا دن جو مقرر کیا سو انہی پر جو اس میں اختلاف کرتے تھے اور تیرا رب حکم کرے گا ان میں قیامت کے دن جس بات میں اختلاف کرتے تھے [۱۹۸]

ٱدْعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَٱلْمَوْعِظَةِ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ ۖ وَجَٰدِلْهُم بِٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ ۖ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ

Ud'u ilaa sabeeli Rabbika bilhikmati walmaw 'izatil hasanati wa jaadilhum billatee hiya ahsan; inna Rabbaka huwa a'almu biman dalla 'an sabeelihee wa Huwa a'lamu bilmuhtadeen

Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way. Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strayeth from His way, and He is Best Aware of those who go aright.

بلا اپنے رب کی راہ پر پکی باتیں سمجھا کر اور نصیحت سنا کر بھلی طرح اور الزام دے انکو جس طرح بہتر ہو [۱۹۹] تیرا رب ہی بہتر جانتا ہے ان کو جو بھول گیا اس کی راہ اور وہی بہتر جانتا ہے انکو جو راہ پر ہیں [۲۰۰]

وَإِنْ عَاقَبْتُمْ فَعَاقِبُوا۟ بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبْتُم بِهِۦ ۖ وَلَئِن صَبَرْتُمْ لَهُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لِّلصَّٰبِرِينَ

Wa in 'aaqabtum fa'aaqiboo bimisli maa 'ooqibtum bihee wa la'in sabartum lahuwa khairul lissaabireen

If ye punish, then punish with the like of that wherewith ye were afflicted. But if ye endure patiently, verily it is better for the patient.

اور اگر بدلہ لو تو بدلہ لو اسی قدر جس قدر کو تم کو تکلیف پہنچائی جائے (پہنچے) اور اگر صبر کرو تو یہ بہتر ہے صبر کرنے والوں کو [۲۰۱]

وَٱصْبِرْ وَمَا صَبْرُكَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ ۚ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا تَكُ فِى ضَيْقٍۢ مِّمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ

Wasbir wa maa sabruka illaa billaah; wa laa tahzan 'alaihim wa laa taku fee daiqim mimmaa yamkuroon

Endure thou patiently (O Muhammad). Thine endurance is only by (the help of) Allah. Grieve not for them, and be not in distress because of that which they devise.

اور تو صبر کر اور تجھ سے صبر ہو سکے اللہ ہی کی مدد سے اور ان پر غم نہ کھا اور تنگ مت ہو ان کے فریب سے [۲۰۲]

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّٱلَّذِينَ هُم مُّحْسِنُونَ

Innal laaha ma'al lazeenat taqaw wal lazeena hum muhsinoon

Lo! Allah is with those who keep their duty unto Him and those who are doers of good.

اللہ ساتھ ہے ان کے جو پرہیزگار ہیں اور جو نیکی کرتے ہیں [۲۰۳]
