Maryam

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ كٓهيعٓصٓ

Kaaaf-Haa-Yaa-'Ayyyn-Saaad

Kaf. Ha. Ya. A'in. Sad.

کہٰیٰعص

ذِكْرُ رَحْمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبْدَهُۥ زَكَرِيَّآ

Zikru rahmati Rabbika 'abdahoo Zakariyya

A mention of the mercy of thy Lord unto His servant Zachariah.

یہ مذکور ہے تیرے رب کی رحمت کا اپنے بندہ زکریا پر [۱]

إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ نِدَآءً خَفِيًّۭا

Iz naadaa Rabbahoo nidaaa'an khafiyyaa

When he cried unto his Lord a cry in secret,

جب پکارا اُس نے اپنے رب کو چھپی آواز سے [۲]

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى وَهَنَ ٱلْعَظْمُ مِنِّى وَٱشْتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأْسُ شَيْبًۭا وَلَمْ أَكُنۢ بِدُعَآئِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّۭا

Qaala Rabbi innee wahanal'azmu minnee washta'alar raasu shaibanw wa lam akum bidu'aaa'ika Rabbi shaqiyyaa

Saying: My Lord! Lo! the bones of me wax feeble and my head is shining with grey hair, and I have never been unblest in prayer to Thee, my Lord.

بولا اے میرے رب بوڑھی ہو گئیں میری ہڈیاں اور شعلہ نکلا سر سے بڑھاپے کا [۳] اور تجھ سے مانگ کر اے رب میں کبھی محروم نہیں رہا [۴]

وَإِنِّى خِفْتُ ٱلْمَوَٰلِىَ مِن وَرَآءِى وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًۭا فَهَبْ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّۭا

Wa innee khiftul mawaa liya minw waraaa'ee wa kaana tim ra atee 'aairan fahab lee mil ladunka waliyyaa

Lo! I fear my kinsfolk after me, since my wife is barren. Oh, give me from Thy presence a successor

اور میں ڈرتا ہوں بھائی بندوں سے اپنے پیچھے [۵] اور عورت میری بانجھ ہے سو بخش تو مجھ کو اپنے پاس سے ایک کام اٹھانے والا

يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنْ ءَالِ يَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَٱجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّۭا

Yarisunee wa yarisu min aali Ya'qoob, waj'alhu Rabbi radiyya

Who shall inherit of me and inherit (also) of the house of Jacob. And make him, my Lord, acceptable (unto Thee).

جو میری جگہ بیٹھے اور یعقوب کی اولاد کی [۶] اور کر اُسکو اے رب من مانتا [۷]

يَٰزَكَرِيَّآ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ ٱسْمُهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ لَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ سَمِيًّۭا

Yaa Zakariyyaaa innaa nubashshiruka bighulaami nismuhoo Yahyaa lam naj'al lahoo min qablu samiyyaa

(It was said unto him): O Zachariah! Lo! We bring thee tidings of a son whose name is John; we have given the same name to none before (him).

اے زکریا ہم تجھ کو خوشخبری سناتے ہیں ایک لڑکے کی جس کا نام ہے یحیٰی نہیں کیا ہم نے پہلے اس نام کا کوئی [۸]

قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَٰمٌۭ وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًۭا وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ ٱلْكِبَرِ عِتِيًّۭا

Qaala Rabbi annaa yakoonu lee ghulaamunw wa kaanatim ra atee aaqiranw wa qad balaghtu minal kibari 'itiyyaa

He said: My Lord! How can I have a son when my wife is barren and I have reached infirm old age?

بولا اے رب کہاں سے ہو گا مجھ کو لڑکا اور میری عورت بانجھ ہے اور میں بوڑھا ہو گیا یہاں تک کہ اکڑ گیا [۹]

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌۭ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْـًۭٔا

Qaala kazaalika qaala Rabbuka huwa 'alaiya haiyinunw wa qad khalaqtuka min qablu wa lam taku shai'aa

He said: So (it will be). Thy Lord saith: It is easy for Me, even as I created thee before, when thou wast naught.

کہا یونہی ہو گا [۱۰] فرما دیا تیرے رب نے وہ مجھ پر آسان ہے اور تجھ کو پیدا کیا میں نے پہلے سے اور نہ تھا تو کوئی چیز [۱۱]

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجْعَل لِّىٓ ءَايَةًۭ ۚ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَ لَيَالٍۢ سَوِيًّۭا

Qaala Rabbij 'al leee Aayah; qaala Aayatuka allaa tukalliman naasa salaasa layaalin sawiyyaa

He said: My Lord! Appoint for me some token. He said: Thy token is that thou, with no bodily defect, shalt not speak unto mankind three nights.

بولا اے رب ٹھہرا دے میرے لئے کوئی نشانی فرمایا تیری نشانی یہ کہ بات نہ کرے تو لوگوں سے تین رات تک صحیح تندرست [۱۲]

فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ أَن سَبِّحُوا۟ بُكْرَةًۭ وَعَشِيًّۭا

Fakharaja 'alaa qawmihee minal mihraabi fa-awhaaa ilaihim an sabbihoo bukratanw wa 'ashiyyaa

Then he came forth unto his people from the sanctuary, and signified to them: Glorify your Lord at break of day and fall of night.

پھر نکلا اپنے لوگوں کے پاس حجرہ سے تو اشارہ سے کہا اُنکو کہ یاد کرو صبح اور شام [۱۳]

يَٰيَحْيَىٰ خُذِ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِقُوَّةٍۢ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ ٱلْحُكْمَ صَبِيًّۭا

Yaa Yahyaa khuzil Kitaaba biquwwatinw wa aatainaahul hukma saiyyaa

(And it was said unto his son): O John! Hold fast the Scripture. And we gave him wisdom when a child,

اے یحیٰی اٹھا لے کتاب زور سے [۱۴] اور دیا ہم نے اُسکو حکم کرنا لڑکا پن میں [۱۵]

وَحَنَانًۭا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَوٰةًۭ ۖ وَكَانَ تَقِيًّۭا

Wa hanaanam mil ladunnaa wa zakaatanw wa kaana taqiyyaa

And compassion from Our presence, and purity; and he was devout,

اور شوق دیا اپنی طرف سے اورستھرائی اور تھا پرہیز گار [۱۶]

وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّۭا

Wa barram biwaalidayhi wa lam yakum jabbaaran 'asiyyaa

And dutiful toward his parents. And he was not arrogant, rebellious.

اور نیکی کرنے والا اپنے ماں باپ سے اور نہ تھا زبردست خود سر [۱۷]

وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَيًّۭا

Wa salaamun 'alaihi yawma wulida wa yawma yamootu wa yawma yub'asu haiyaa

Peace on him the day he was born, and the day he dieth and the day he shall be raised alive!

اور سلام ہے اُس پر جس دن پیدا ہو ا اور جس دن مرے اورجس دن اٹھ کھڑا ہو زندہ ہو کر [۱۸]

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَكَانًۭا شَرْقِيًّۭا

Wazkur fil Kitaabi Marya; izin tabazat min ahlihaa makaanan shariqyyaa

And make mention of Mary in the Scripture, when she had withdrawn from her people to a chamber looking East,

اور مذکور کر کتاب میں مریم کا جب جدا ہوئی اپنے لوگوں سے ایک شرقی مکان میں [۱۹]

فَٱتَّخَذَتْ مِن دُونِهِمْ حِجَابًۭا فَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرًۭا سَوِيًّۭا

Fattakhazat min doonihim hijaaban fa arsalnaaa ilaihaa roohanaa fatamassala lahaa basharan sawiyyaa

And had chosen seclusion from them. Then We sent unto her Our Spirit and it assumed for her the likeness of a perfect man.

پھر پکڑ لیا اُن سے ورے ایک پردہ پھر بھیجا ہم نے اُسکے پاس اپنا فرشتہ پھر بن کر آیا اُسکے آگے آدمی پورا [۲۰]

قَالَتْ إِنِّىٓ أَعُوذُ بِٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِيًّۭا

Qaalat inneee a'oozu bir Rahmaani minka in kunta taqiyyaa

She said: Lo! I seek refuge in the Beneficent One from thee, if thou art Allah-fearing.

بولی مجھ کو رحمٰن کی پناہ تجھ سے اگر ہے تو ڈر رکھنے والا [۲۱]

قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَٰمًۭا زَكِيًّۭا

Qaala innamaa ana rasoolu Rabbiki li ahaba laki ghulaaman zakiyyaa

He said: I am only a messenger of thy Lord, that I may bestow on thee a faultless son.

بولا میں تو بھیجا ہوا ہوں تیرے رب کا کہ دے جاؤں تجھ کو ایک لڑکا ستھرا [۲۲]

قَالَتْ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَٰمٌۭ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِى بَشَرٌۭ وَلَمْ أَكُ بَغِيًّۭا

Qaalat anna yakoonu lee ghulaamunw wa lam yamsasnee bashrunw wa lam aku baghiyyaa

She said: How can I have a son when no mortal hath touched me, neither have I been unchaste?

بولی کہاں سے ہو گا میرے لڑکا اور چھوا نہیں مجھ کو آدمی نے اور میں بدکار کبھی نہیں تھی [۲۳]

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌۭ ۖ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُۥٓ ءَايَةًۭ لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةًۭ مِّنَّا ۚ وَكَانَ أَمْرًۭا مَّقْضِيًّۭا

Qaala kazaaliki qaala Rabbuki huwa 'alaiya yaiyimunw wa linaj 'alahooo Aayatal linnaasi wa rahmatam minnaa; wa kaana amram maqdiyyaa

He said: So (it will be). Thy Lord saith: It is easy for Me. And (it will be) that We may make of him a revelation for mankind and a mercy from Us, and it is a thing ordained.

بولا یونہی فرما دیا تیرے رب نے وہ مجھ پر آسان ہے [۲۴] اور اُسکو ہم کیا چاہتے ہیں لوگوں کیلئے نشانی اور مہربانی اپنی طرف سے اور ہے یہ کام مقرر ہو چکا [۲۵]

۞ فَحَمَلَتْهُ فَٱنتَبَذَتْ بِهِۦ مَكَانًۭا قَصِيًّۭا

Fahamalat hu fantabazat bihee makaanan qasiyyaa

And she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a far place.

پھر پیٹ میں لیا اُسکو [۲۶] پھر یکسو ہوئی اُسکو لیکر ایک بعید مکان میں [۲۷]

فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلْمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ قَالَتْ يَٰلَيْتَنِى مِتُّ قَبْلَ هَٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسْيًۭا مَّنسِيًّۭا

Fa ajaaa 'ahal makhaadu ilaa jiz'in nakhlati qaalat yaa laitanee mittu qabla haazaa wa kuntu nasyam mansiyyaa

And the pangs of childbirth drove her unto the trunk of the palm-tree. She said: Oh, would that I had died ere this and had become a thing of naught, forgotten!

پھر لے آیا اُسکو دردزہ ایک کھجور کی جڑ میں بولی کسی طرح میں مر چکتی اس سے پہلے اور ہو جاتی بھولی بسری [۲۸]

فَنَادَىٰهَا مِن تَحْتِهَآ أَلَّا تَحْزَنِى قَدْ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحْتَكِ سَرِيًّۭا

Fanaadaahaa min tahtihaan allaa tahzanee qad ja'ala Rabbuki tahtaki sariyyaa

Then (one) cried unto her from below her, saying: Grieve not! Thy Lord hath placed a rivulet beneath thee,

پس آواز دی اسکو اُسکے نیچے سے کہ غمگین مت ہو کر دیا تیرے رب نے تیرے نیچے ایک چشمہ

وَهُزِّىٓ إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ تُسَٰقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًۭا جَنِيًّۭا

Wa huzzeee ilaiki bijiz 'in nakhlati tusaaqit 'alaiki rutaban janiyyaa

And shake the trunk of the palm-tree toward thee, thou wilt cause ripe dates to fall upon thee.

اور ہلا اپنی طرف کھجور کی جڑ اُس سے گریں گی تجھ پر پکی کھجوریں [۲۹]

فَكُلِى وَٱشْرَبِى وَقَرِّى عَيْنًۭا ۖ فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ ٱلْبَشَرِ أَحَدًۭا فَقُولِىٓ إِنِّى نَذَرْتُ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ صَوْمًۭا فَلَنْ أُكَلِّمَ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِنسِيًّۭا

Fakulee washrabee wa qarree 'ainaa; fa immaa tarayinnna minal bashari ahadan faqooleee innee nazartu lir Rahmaani sawman falan ukallimal yawma insiyyaa

So eat and drink and be consoled. And if thou meetest any mortal, say: Lo! I have vowed a fast unto the Beneficent, and may not speak this day to any mortal.

اب کھا اور پی اور آنکھ ٹھنڈی رکھ [۳۰] پھر اگر تو دیکھے کوئی آدمی تو کہیو میں نے مانا ہے رحمٰن کا روزہ سو بات نہ کروں گی آج کسی آدمی سے [۳۱]

فَأَتَتْ بِهِۦ قَوْمَهَا تَحْمِلُهُۥ ۖ قَالُوا۟ يَٰمَرْيَمُ لَقَدْ جِئْتِ شَيْـًۭٔا فَرِيًّۭا

Fa atat bihee qawmahaa tahmiluhoo qaaloo yaa Maryamoo laqad ji'ti shai'an fariyyaa

Then she brought him to her own folk, carrying him. They said: O Mary! Thou hast come with an amazing thing.

پھر لائی اسکو اپنے لوگوں کے پاس گود میں وہ اُسکو کہنے لگے اے مریم تو نے کی یہ چیز طوفان کی [۳۲]

يَٰٓأُخْتَ هَٰرُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ ٱمْرَأَ سَوْءٍۢ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّۭا

Yaaa ukkhta Haaroona maa kaana abokim ra-a saw'inw wa maa kaanat ummuki baghiyyaa

O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a wicked man nor was thy mother a harlot.

اے بہن ہارون کی نہ تھا تیرا باپ برا آدمی اور نہ تھی تیری ماں بدکار [۳۳]

فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَيْهِ ۖ قَالُوا۟ كَيْفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَن كَانَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ صَبِيًّۭا

Fa ashaarat ilaih; qaaloo kaifa nukallimu man kaana fil mahdi sabiyyaa

Then she pointed to him. They said: How can we talk to one who is in the cradle, a young boy?

پھر ہاتھ سے بتلایا اُس لڑکے کو [۳۴] بولے ہم کیونکر بات کریں اُس شخص سے کہ وہ ہے گود میں لڑکا [۳۵]

قَالَ إِنِّى عَبْدُ ٱللَّهِ ءَاتَىٰنِىَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلَنِى نَبِيًّۭا

Qaala innee 'abdullaahi aataaniyal Kitaaba wa ja'alanee Nabiyyaa

He spake: Lo! I am the slave of Allah. He hath given me the Scripture and hath appointed me a Prophet,

وہ بولا میں بندہ ہوں اللہ کا مجھ کو اُس نے کتاب دی ہے اور مجھ کو اُس نے نبی کیا [۳۶]

وَجَعَلَنِى مُبَارَكًا أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُ وَأَوْصَٰنِى بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ مَا دُمْتُ حَيًّۭا

Wa ja'alanee mubaarakan aina maa kuntu wa awsaanee bis Salaati waz Zakaati maa dumtu haiyaa

And hath made me blessed wheresoever I may be, and hath enjoined upon me prayer and almsgiving so long as I remain alive,

اور بنایا مجھ کو برکت والا جس جگہ میں ہوں اور تاکید کی مجھ کو نماز کی اور زکوٰۃ کی جب تک میں رہوں زندہ [۳۷]

وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَتِى وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِى جَبَّارًۭا شَقِيًّۭا

Wa barram biwaalidatee wa lam yaj'alnee jabbaaran shaqiyyaa

And (hath made me) dutiful toward her who bore me, and hath not made me arrogant, unblest.

اورسلوک کرنے والا اپنی ماں سے [۳۸] اور نہیں بنایا مجھ کو زبردست بدبخت [۳۹]

وَٱلسَّلَٰمُ عَلَىَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدتُّ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّۭا

Wassalaamu 'alaiya yawma wulittu wa yawma amootu wa yawma ub'asu baiyaa

Peace on me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!

اور سلام ہے مجھ پر جس دن میں پیدا ہوا اور جس دن مروں اور جس دن اٹھ کھڑا ہوں زندہ ہو کر [۴۰]

ذَٰلِكَ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۚ قَوْلَ ٱلْحَقِّ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ

Zaalika 'Eesab-nu Marya; qawlal haqqil lazee feehi yamtaroon

Such was Jesus, son of Mary: (this is) a statement of the truth concerning which they doubt.

یہ ہے عیسٰی مریم کا بیٹا سچی بات جس میں لوگ جھگڑتے ہیں [۴۱]

مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٍۢ ۖ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥٓ ۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًۭا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ

Maa kaana lillaahi ai yattakhiza minw waladin Subhaanah; izaa qadaaa amran fa innamaa yaqoolu lahoo kun fa yakoon

It befitteth not (the Majesty of) Allah that He should take unto Himself a son. Glory be to Him! When He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is.

اللہ ایسا نہیں کہ رکھے اولاد وہ پاک ذات ہے جب ٹھہرا لیتا ہے کسی کام کا کرنا سو یہی کہتا ہے اسکو کہ ہو وہ ہو جاتا ہے [۴۲]

وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌۭ مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ

Wa innal laaha Rabbee wa Rabbukum fa'budooh; haazaa Siraatum Mustaqeem

And lo! Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So serve Him. That is the right path.

اور کہا بیشک اللہ ہے رب میرا اور رب تمہارا سو اُسکی بندگی کرو یہ ہے راہ سیدھی

فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن مَّشْهَدِ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ

Fakhtalafal ahzaabu mim bainihim fawailul lillazeena kafaroo mim mashhadi Yawmin 'azeem

The sects among them differ: but woe unto the disbelievers from the meeting of an awful Day.

پھر جُدی جُدی راہ اختیار کی فرقوں نے اُن میں سے سو خرابی ہے منکروں کو جس وقت دیکھیں گے ایک دن بڑا [۴۳]

أَسْمِعْ بِهِمْ وَأَبْصِرْ يَوْمَ يَأْتُونَنَا ۖ لَٰكِنِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

Asmi' bihim wa absir Yawma yaatoonanaa laakiniz zaalimoonal yawma fee dalaalim mubeen

See and hear them on the Day they come unto Us! yet the evil-doers are to-day in error manifest.

کیا خوب سنتے اور دیکھتے ہونگے جس دن آئیں گے ہمارے پاس پر بے انصاف آج کے دن صریح بہک رہے ہیں [۴۴]

وَأَنذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍۢ وَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Wa anzirhum Yawmal hasrati iz qudiyal amr; wa hum fee ghaflatinw wa hum laa yu'minoon

And warn them of the Day of anguish when the case hath been decided. Now they are in a state of carelessness, and they believe not.

اور ڈر سنا دے اُنکو اُس پچتاوے کے دن کا جب فیصل ہو چکے گا کام [۴۵] اور وہ بھول رہے ہیں اور وہ یقین نہیں لاتے [۴۶]

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ

Innaa NNahnu narisul arda wa man 'alaihaa wa ilainaa yurja'oon

Lo! We, only We, inherit the earth and all who are thereon, and unto Us they are returned.

ہم وارث ہوں گے زمین کے اور جو کوئی ہے زمین پر اور وہ ہماری طرف پھر آئیں گے [۴۷]

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقًۭا نَّبِيًّا

Wazkur fil Kitaabi Ibraaheem; innahoo kaana siddeeqan Nabiyyaa

And make mention (O Muhammad) in the Scripture of Abraham. Lo! he was a saint, a prophet.

اور مذکور کر کتاب میں ابراہیم کا [۴۸] بیشک تھا وہ سچا نبی [۴۹]

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ يَٰٓأَبَتِ لِمَ تَعْبُدُ مَا لَا يَسْمَعُ وَلَا يُبْصِرُ وَلَا يُغْنِى عَنكَ شَيْـًۭٔا

Iz qaala li abeehi yaaa abati lima ta'budu maa laa yasma'u wa laa yubsiru wa laa yughnee 'anka shai'aa

When he said unto his father: O my father! Why worshippest thou that which heareth not nor seeth, nor can in aught avail thee?

جب کہا اپنے باپ کو اے باپ میرے کیوں پوجتا ہے اسکو جو نہ سنے اور نہ دیکھے اور نہ کام آئے تیرے کچھ [۵۰]

يَٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّى قَدْ جَآءَنِى مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ مَا لَمْ يَأْتِكَ فَٱتَّبِعْنِىٓ أَهْدِكَ صِرَٰطًۭا سَوِيًّۭا

Yaaa abati innee qad jaaa'anee minal 'ilmi maa lam yaatika fattabi'neee ahdika siraatan Sawiyyaa

O my father! Lo! there hath come unto me of knowledge that which came not unto thee. So follow me, and I will lead thee on a right path.

اے باپ میرے مجھ کو آئی ہے خبر ایک چیز کی جو تجھ کو نہیں آئی سو میری راہ چل دکھلا دوں تجھ کو راہ سیدھی [۵۱]

يَٰٓأَبَتِ لَا تَعْبُدِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ عَصِيًّۭا

Yaaa abati laa ta'budish Shaitaana innash Shaitaana kaana lir Rahmaani 'asiyyaa

O my father! Serve not the devil. Lo! the devil is a rebel unto the Beneficent.

اے باپ میرے مت پوج شیطان کو بیشک شیطان ہے رحمٰن کا نافرمان [۵۲]

يَٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يَمَسَّكَ عَذَابٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ فَتَكُونَ لِلشَّيْطَٰنِ وَلِيًّۭا

Yaaa abati innee akhaafu ai yamssaka 'azaabum minar Rahmaani fatakoona lish Shaitaani waliyyaa

O my father! Lo! I fear lest a punishment from the Beneficent overtake thee so that thou become a comrade of the devil.

اے باپ میرے میں ڈرتا ہوں کہیں آ لگے تجھ کو ایک آفت رحمٰن سے پھر تو ہو جائے شیطان کا ساتھی [۵۳]

قَالَ أَرَاغِبٌ أَنتَ عَنْ ءَالِهَتِى يَٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ ۖ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ لَأَرْجُمَنَّكَ ۖ وَٱهْجُرْنِى مَلِيًّۭا

Qaala araaghibun anta 'an aalihatee yaaa Ibraaheemu la 'il lam tantahi la arjumannaka wahjumee maliyyaa

He said: Rejectest thou my gods, O Abraham? If thou cease not, I shall surely stone thee. Depart from me a long while!

وہ بولا کیا تو پھرا ہوا ہے میرے ٹھاکروں سے اے ابراہیم اگر تو باز نہ آئے گا تو تجھ کو سنگسار کروں گا اور دور ہو جا میرے پاس سے ایک مدت [۵۴]

قَالَ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكَ ۖ سَأَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكَ رَبِّىٓ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ بِى حَفِيًّۭا

Qaala salaamun 'alaika sa astaghfiru laka Rabbeee innahoo kaana bee hafiyyaa

He said: Peace be unto thee! I shall ask forgiveness of my Lord for thee. Lo! He was ever gracious unto me.

کہا تیری سلامتی رہے [۵۵] میں گناہ بخشواؤں گا تیرا اپنے رب سے بیشک وہ ہے مجھ پر مہربان [۵۶]

وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ وَمَا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَدْعُوا۟ رَبِّى عَسَىٰٓ أَلَّآ أَكُونَ بِدُعَآءِ رَبِّى شَقِيًّۭا

Wa a'tazilukum wa maa tad'oona min doonil laahi wa ad'o Rabbee 'asaaa allaaa akoona bidu'aaa'i Rabbee shaqiyyaa

I shall withdraw from you and that unto which ye pray beside Allah, and I shall pray unto my Lord. It may be that, in prayer unto my Lord, I shall not be unblest.

اور چھوڑتا ہوں تم کو اور جنکو تم پوجتے ہو اللہ کے سوا اور میں بندگی کروں گا اپنے ر ب کی امید ہے کہ نہ رہوں گا اپنے رب کی بندگی کر کر محروم [۵۷]

فَلَمَّا ٱعْتَزَلَهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَكُلًّۭا جَعَلْنَا نَبِيًّۭا

Falamma' tazalahum wa maa ya'budoona min doonil laahi wahabnaa lahoo is-haaqa wa ya'qoob, wa kullan ja'alnaa Nabiyyaa

So, when he had withdrawn from them and that which they were worshipping beside Allah, We gave him Isaac and Jacob. Each of them We made a prophet.

پھر جب جُدا ہوا اُن سے اور جنکو وہ پوجتے تھے اللہ کے سوا بخشا ہم نے اُسکو اسحٰق او ریعقوب اور دونوں کو نبی کیا [۵۸]

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِنَا وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ عَلِيًّۭا

Wa wahabnaa lahum mirrahmatinaa wa ja'alnaa lahum lisaana sidqin 'aliyyaa

And we gave them of Our mercy, and assigned to them a high and true renown.

اور دیا ہم نے انکو اپنی رحمت سے اور کہا اُنکے واسطے سچا بول اونچا [۵۹]

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مُوسَىٰٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مُخْلَصًۭا وَكَانَ رَسُولًۭا نَّبِيًّۭا

Wazkur fil Kitaabi Moosaaa; innahoo kaana mukhlasanw wa kaana Rasoolan Nabiyyaa

And make mention in the Scripture of Moses. Lo! he was chosen, and he was a messenger (of Allah), a prophet.

اور مذکور کر کتاب میں موسٰی کا [۶۰] بیشک وہ تھا چنا ہوا اور تھا رسول نبی [۶۱]

وَنَٰدَيْنَٰهُ مِن جَانِبِ ٱلطُّورِ ٱلْأَيْمَنِ وَقَرَّبْنَٰهُ نَجِيًّۭا

Wa naadainaahu min jaanibit Tooril aimani wa qarrabnaahu najiyyaa

We called him from the right slope of the Mount, and brought him nigh in communion.

اور پکارا ہم نے اُسکو داہنی طرف سے طور پہاڑ کی اور نزدیک بلایا اُسکو بھید کہنے کو [۶۲]

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ مِن رَّحْمَتِنَآ أَخَاهُ هَٰرُونَ نَبِيًّۭا

Wa wahabnaa lahoo mir rahmatinaaa akhaahu Haaroona Nabiyyaa

And We bestowed upon him of Our mercy his brother Aaron, a prophet (likewise).

اور بخشا ہم نے اُسکو اپنی مہربانی سے بھائی اُس کا ہارون نبی [۶۳]

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ إِسْمَٰعِيلَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صَادِقَ ٱلْوَعْدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولًۭا نَّبِيًّۭا

Wazkur fil Kitaabi ismaa'eel; innahoo kaana saadiqal wa'di wa kaana Rasoolan Nabiyyaa

And make mention in the Scripture of Ishmael. Lo! he was a keeper of his promise, and he was a messenger (of Allah), a prophet.

اور مذکور کر کتاب میں اسمٰعیل کا وہ تھا وعدہ کا سچا اور تھا رسول نبی [۶۴]

وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُۥ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ مَرْضِيًّۭا

Wa kaana yaamuru ahlahoo bis Salaati waz zakaati wa kaana 'inda Rabbihee mardiyyaa

He enjoined upon his people worship and almsgiving, and was acceptable in the sight of his Lord.

اور حکم کرتا تھا اپنے گھر والوں کو نماز کا اور زکوٰۃ کا [۶۵] اور تھا اپنے رب کے یہاں پسندیدہ [۶۶]

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ إِدْرِيسَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقًۭا نَّبِيًّۭا

Wazkur fil Kitaabi Idrees; innahoo kaana siddeeqan Nabiyyaa

And make mention in the Scripture of Idris. Lo! he was a saint, a prophet;

اور مذکور کر کتاب میں ادریس کا وہ تھا سچا نبی [۶۷]

وَرَفَعْنَٰهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا

Wa rafa'naahu makaanan 'aliyyaa

And We raised him to high station.

اور اٹھا لیا ہم نے اسکو ایک اونچے مکان پر [۶۸]

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ ءَادَمَ وَمِمَّنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍۢ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَمِمَّنْ هَدَيْنَا وَٱجْتَبَيْنَآ ۚ إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ خَرُّوا۟ سُجَّدًۭا وَبُكِيًّۭا ۩

Ulaaa'ikal lazeena an'amal laahu 'alaihim minan Nabiyyeena min zurriyyati Aadama wa mimman hamalnaa ma'a Noohinw wa min zurriyyati Ibraaheema wa Israaa'eela wa mimman hadainaa wajta bainaaa; izaa tutlaa 'alaihim Aayaatur Rahmaani kharroo sujjadanw wa bukiyyaa

These are they unto whom Allah showed favour from among the prophets, of the seed of Adam and of those whom We carried (in the ship) with Noah, and of the seed of Abraham and Israel, and from among those whom We guided and chose. When the revelations of the Beneficent were recited unto them, they fell down, adoring and weeping.

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن پر انعام کیااللہ نے پیغمبروں میں آدم کی اولاد میں اور اُن میں جنکو سوار کر لیا ہم نے نوح کے ساتھ اور ابراہیم کی اولاد میں اور اسرائیل کی [۶۹] اور اُن میں جنکو ہم نے ہدایت کی اور پسند کیا [۷۰] جب اُنکو سنائے آیتیں رحمٰن کی گرتے ہیں سجدہ میں اور روتے ہوئے [۷۱]

۞ فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا

Fakhalafa mim ba'dihim khalfun adaa'us Salaata wattaba'ush shahawaati fasawfa yalqawna ghaiyaa

Now there hath succeeded them a later generation whom have ruined worship and have followed lusts. But they will meet deception.

پھر اُنکی جلگہ آئے ناخلف کھو بیٹھے نماز اور پیچھے پڑ گئے مزوں کے سو آگے دیکھ لیں گے گمراہی کو [۷۲]

إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْـًۭٔا

Illaa man taaba wa aamana wa 'amila saalihan fa ulaaa'ika yadkhuloonal jannata wa laa yuzlamoona shai'aa

Save him who shall repent and believe and do right. Such will enter the Garden, and they will not be wronged in aught -

مگر جس نے توبہ کی اور یقین لایا اور کی نیکی سو وہ لوگ جائیں گے بہشت میں اور اُن کا حق ضائع نہ ہو گا کچھ [۷۳]

جَنَّٰتِ عَدْنٍ ٱلَّتِى وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ عِبَادَهُۥ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ وَعْدُهُۥ مَأْتِيًّۭا

Jannaati 'adninil latee wa'adar Rahmaanu ibaadahoo bilghaib; innahoo kaana wa'duhoo maatiyyaa

Gardens of Eden, which the Beneficent hath promised to His slaves in the unseen. Lo! His promise is ever sure of fulfilment -

باغوں میں بسنے کے جن کا وعدہ کیا ہے رحمٰن نے اپنے بندوں سے اُنکے بن دیکھے بیشک ہے اُس کے وعدہ پر پہنچنا [۷۴]

لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا إِلَّا سَلَٰمًۭا ۖ وَلَهُمْ رِزْقُهُمْ فِيهَا بُكْرَةًۭ وَعَشِيًّۭا

Laa yasma'oona feehaa laghwan illaa salaamaa; wa lahum rizquhum feehaa bukratanw wa 'ashiyyaa

They hear therein no idle talk, but only Peace; and therein they have food for morn and evening.

نہ سنیں گے وہاں بک بک سوائے سلام [۷۵] اور اُنکے لئے ہے اُنکی روزی وہاں صبح اور شام [۷۶]

تِلْكَ ٱلْجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِى نُورِثُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا مَن كَانَ تَقِيًّۭا

Tilkal jannatul latee oorisu min 'ibaadinaa man kaana taqiyyaa

Such is the Garden which We cause the devout among Our bondmen to inherit.

یہ وہ بہشت ہے جو میراث دینگے ہم اپنے بندوں میں جو کوئی ہو گا پرہیزگار [۷۷]

وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلَّا بِأَمْرِ رَبِّكَ ۖ لَهُۥ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا وَمَا خَلْفَنَا وَمَا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيًّۭا

Wa maa natanazzalu illaa bi amri Rabbika lahoo maa baina aideenaa wa maa khalfanaa wa maa baina zaalik; wa maa kaana Rabbuka nasiyyaa

We (angels) come not down save by commandment of thy Lord. Unto Him belongeth all that is before us and all that is behind us and all that is between those two, and thy Lord was never forgetful -

اور ہم نہیں اترتے مگر حکم سے تیرے رب کے اُسی کا ہے جو ہمارے آگے ہے اور جو ہمارے پیچھے اور جو اسکے بیچ میں ہے اور تیرا رب نہیں ہے بھولنے والا [۷۸]

رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَٱعْبُدْهُ وَٱصْطَبِرْ لِعِبَٰدَتِهِۦ ۚ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ لَهُۥ سَمِيًّۭا

Rabbus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa fa'bud hu wastabir li'ibaadatih; hal ta'lamu lahoo samiyyaa

Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them! Therefor, worship thou Him and be thou steadfast in His service. Knowest thou one that can be named along with Him?

رب آسمانوں کا اور زمین کا اور جو اُنکے بیچ میں ہے سو اُسی کی بندگی کر اور قائم رہ اسکی بندگی پر [۷۹] کسی کو پہچانتا ہے تو اسکے نام کا [۸۰]

وَيَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَءِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوْفَ أُخْرَجُ حَيًّا

Wa yaqoolul insaanu 'aizaa maa mittu lasawfa ukhraju haiyaa

And man saith: When I am dead, shall I forsooth be brought forth alive?

اور کہتا ہے آدمی کیا جب میں مر جاؤں تو پھر نکلوں گا زندہ ہو کر [۸۱]

أَوَلَا يَذْكُرُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ يَكُ شَيْـًۭٔا

awalaa yazkurul insaanu annaa khalaqnaahu min qablu wa lam yaku shai'aa

Doth not man remember that We created him before, when he was naught?

کیا یاد نہیں رکھتا آدمی کہ ہم نے اسکو بنایا پہلے سے اور وہ کچھ چیز نہ تھا [۸۲]

فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ وَٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ ثُمَّ لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ حَوْلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيًّۭا

Fawa Rabbika lanahshu rannahum wash shayaateena summa lanuhdirannahum hawla jahannama jisiyyaa

And, by thy Lord, verily We shall assemble them and the devils, then We shall bring them, crouching, around hell.

سو قسم ہے تیرے رب کی ہم گھیر بلائیں گے انکو اور شیطانوں کو [۸۳] پھر سامنے لائیں گے گرد دوزخ کے گھٹنوں پر گرے ہوئے [۸۴]

ثُمَّ لَنَنزِعَنَّ مِن كُلِّ شِيعَةٍ أَيُّهُمْ أَشَدُّ عَلَى ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ عِتِيًّۭا

Summa lananzi 'anna min kulli shee'atin aiyuhum ashaddu 'alar Rahmaani 'itiyyaa

Then We shall pluck out from every sect whichever of them was most stubborn in rebellion to the Beneficent.

پھر جدا کر لیں گے ہم ہر ایک فرقہ میں سے جو نسا اُن میں سے سخت رکھتا تھا رحمٰن سے اکڑ

ثُمَّ لَنَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِهَا صِلِيًّۭا

Summa lanahnu a'lamu billazeena hum awlaa bihaa siliyyaa

And surely We are Best Aware of those most worthy to be burned therein.

پھر ہم کو خوب معلوم ہیں جو بہت قابل ہیں اُس میں داخل ہونے کے [۸۵]

وَإِن مِّنكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا ۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ حَتْمًۭا مَّقْضِيًّۭا

Wa im minkum illaa waa riduhaa; kaana 'alaa Rabbika hatmam maqdiyyaa

There is not one of you but shall approach it. That is a fixed ordinance of thy Lord.

اور کوئی نہیں تم میں جو نہ پہنچے گا اس پر ہو چکا یہ وعدہ تیرے رب پر لازم مقرر

ثُمَّ نُنَجِّى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّنَذَرُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّۭا

Summa nunajjil lazeenat taqaw wa nazaruz zaalimeena feehaa jisiyyaa

Then We shall rescue those who kept from evil, and leave the evil-doers crouching there.

پھر بچائیں گے ہم انکو جو ڈرتے رہے اور چھوڑ دیں گے گنہگاروں کو اس میں اوندھے گرے ہوئے [۸۶]

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَىُّ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ خَيْرٌۭ مَّقَامًۭا وَأَحْسَنُ نَدِيًّۭا

Wa izaa tutlaa 'alaihim Aayaatunaa baiyinaatin qaalal lazeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanooo aiyul fareeqaini khairum maqaamanw wa ahsanu nadiyyaa

And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Which of the two parties (yours or ours) is better in position, and more imposing as an army?

اور جب سنائے انکو ہماری آیتیں کھلی ہوئی کہتے ہیں جو لوگ کہ منکر ہیں ایمان والوں کو دونوں فرقوں میں کس کا مکان بہتر ہے اور کس کی اچھی لگی ہے مجلس [۸۷]

وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَٰثًۭا وَرِءْيًۭا

Wa kam ahlaknaa qablahum min qarnin hum ahsanu asaasanw wa ri'yaa

How many a generation have We destroyed before them, who were more imposing in respect of gear and outward seeming!

اورکتنی ہلاک کر چکے ہیں ہم پہلے اُن سے جماعتیں وہ اُن سے بہتر تھے سامان میں اور نمود میں [۸۸]

قُلْ مَن كَانَ فِى ٱلضَّلَٰلَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ مَدًّا ۚ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوْا۟ مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا ٱلْعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّۭ مَّكَانًۭا وَأَضْعَفُ جُندًۭا

Qul man kaana fidda laalati falyamdud lahur Rahmaanu maddaa; hattaaa izaa ra aw maa yoo'adoona immal 'azaaba wa immas Saa'ata fasa ya'lamoona man huwa sharrum makaananw wa ad'afu jundaa

Say: As for him who is in error, the Beneficent will verily prolong his span of life until, when they behold that which they were promised, whether it be punishment (in the world), or the Hour (of doom), they will know who is worse in position and who is weaker as an army.

تو کہہ جو رہا بھٹکتا سو چاہئے اُسکو کھینچ لیجائے رحمٰن لنبا [۸۹] یہاں تک کہ جب دیکھیں گے جو وعدہ ہوا تھا اُن سے یا آفت اور یا قیامت سو تب معلوم کر لیں گے کس کا برا ہے مکان اور کس کی فوج کمزور ہے [۹۰]

وَيَزِيدُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱهْتَدَوْا۟ هُدًۭى ۗ وَٱلْبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًۭا وَخَيْرٌۭ مَّرَدًّا

Wa yazeedul laahul lazeenah tadaw hudaa; wal baaqiyaatus saalihaatu khairun 'inda Rabbika sawaabanw wa khairum maraddaa

Allah increaseth in right guidance those who walk aright, and the good deeds which endure are better in thy Lord's sight for reward, and better for resort.

اور بڑھاتا جاتا ہے اللہ سوجھنے والوں کو سوجھ [۹۱] اور باقی رہنے والی نیکیاں بہتر رکھتی ہیں تیرے رب کے یہاں بدلہ اور بہتر پھر جانے کو جگہ [۹۲]

أَفَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى كَفَرَ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالًۭا وَوَلَدًا

Afara'aytal lazee kafara bi Aayaatinaa wa qaala la oota yanna maalanw wa waladaa

Hast thou seen him who disbelieveth in Our revelations and saith: Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children?

بھلا تو نے دیکھا اُسکو جو منکر ہوا ہماری آیتوں سے اور کہا مجھ کو مل کر رہے گا مال اور اولاد [۹۳]

أَطَّلَعَ ٱلْغَيْبَ أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ عَهْدًۭا

Attala'al ghaiba amitta khaza'indar Rahmaani 'ahdaa

Hath he perused the Unseen, or hath he made a pact with the Beneficent?

کیا جھانک آیا ہے غیب کو یا لے رکھا ہے رحمٰن سے عہد [۹۴]

كَلَّا ۚ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ مَدًّۭا

Kallaa; sanaktubu maa yaqoolu wa namuddu lahoo minal 'azaabi maddaa

Nay, but We shall record that which he saith and prolong for him a span of torment.

یہ نہیں ہم لکھ رکھیں گے جو وہ کہتا ہے اور بڑھاتے جائیں گے اسکو عذاب میں لنبا [۹۵]

وَنَرِثُهُۥ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأْتِينَا فَرْدًۭا

Wa narisuhoo maa yaqoolu wa yaateenaa fardaa

And We shall inherit from him that whereof he spake, and he will come unto Us, alone (without his wealth and children).

اور ہم لے لیں گے اُسکے مرنے پر جو کچھ وہ بتلا رہا ہے اور آئے گا ہمارے پاس اکیلا [۹۶]

وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةًۭ لِّيَكُونُوا۟ لَهُمْ عِزًّۭا

Wattakhazoo min doonil laahi aalihatal liyakoonoo lahum 'izzaa

And they have chosen (other) gods beside Allah that they may be a power for them.

اور پکڑ رکھا ہے لوگوں نے اللہ کے سوا اوروں کو معبود تاکہ وہ ہوں اُنکے لئے مدد ہرگز نہیں [۹۷]

كَلَّا ۚ سَيَكْفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضِدًّا

Kallaa; sa yakfuroona bi'ibaadatihim wa yakoonoona 'alaihim diddaa

Nay, but they will deny their worship of them, and become opponents unto them.

وہ منکر ہونگے اُنکی بندگی سے اورہو جائیں گے اُنکے مخالف [۹۸]

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ تَؤُزُّهُمْ أَزًّۭا

Alam tara annaaa arsalnash Shayaateena 'alal kaafireena ta'uzzuhum azzaa

Seest thou not that We have set the devils on the disbelievers to confound them with confusion?

تو نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے چھوڑ رکھے ہیں شیطان منکروں پر اچھالتے ہیں انکو ابھار کر

فَلَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّۭا

Falaa ta'jal alaihim innamaa na 'uddu lahum 'addaa

So make no haste against them (O Muhammad). We do but number unto them a sum (of days).

سو تو جلدی نہ کر ان پرہم تو پوری کرتے ہیں انکی گنتی [۹۹]

يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَفْدًۭا

Yawma nahshurul muttaqeena ilar Rahmaani wafdaa

On the day when We shall gather the righteous unto the Beneficent, a goodly company.

جس دن ہم اکٹھا کرلائیں گے پرہیزگاروں کو رحمٰن کے پاس مہمان بلائے ہوئے

وَنَسُوقُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرْدًۭا

Wa nasooqul mujrimeena ilaa Jahannama wirdaa

And drive the guilty unto hell, a weary herd,

اور ہانک لیجائیں گے گنہگاروں کو دوزذخ کی طرف پیاس سے [۱۰۰]

لَّا يَمْلِكُونَ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ عَهْدًۭا

Laa yamlikoonash shafaa'ta illaa manittakhaza 'indar Rahmaani 'ahdaa

They will have no power of intercession, save him who hath made a covenant with his Lord.

نہیں اختیار رکھتے لوگ سفارش کا مگر جس نے لے لیا ہے رحمٰن سے وعدہ [۱۰۱]

وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَلَدًۭا

Wa qaalut takhazar Rahmaanu waladaa

And they say: The Beneficent hath taken unto Himself a son.

اور لوگ کہتے ہیں رحمٰن رکھتا ہے اولاد [۱۰۲]

لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمْ شَيْـًٔا إِدًّۭا

Laqad ji'tum shai'an iddaa

Assuredly ye utter a disastrous thing

بیشک تم آ پھنسے ہو بھاری چیز میں

تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنشَقُّ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَتَخِرُّ ٱلْجِبَالُ هَدًّا

Takaadus samaawaatu yatafattarna minhu wa tanshaq qul ardu wa takhirrul jibaalu haddaa

Whereby almost the heavens are torn, and the earth is split asunder and the mountains fall in ruins,

ابھی آسمان پھٹ پڑیں اس بات سے اور ٹکڑے ہو زمیں اور گر پڑیں پہاڑ ڈھے کر

أَن دَعَوْا۟ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَلَدًۭا

An da'aw lir Rahmaani waladaa

That ye ascribe unto the Beneficent a son,

اس پر کہ پکارتے ہیں رحمٰن کے نام پر اولاد [۱۰۳]

وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا

Wa maa yambaghee lir Rahmaani ai yattakhiza waladaa

When it is not meet for (the Majesty of) the Beneficent that He should choose a son.

اور نہیں پھبتا رحمٰن کو کہ رکھے اولاد [۱۰۴]

إِن كُلُّ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّآ ءَاتِى ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ عَبْدًۭا

In kullu man fis samaawaati wal ardi illaaa aatir Rahmaani 'abdaa

There is none in the heavens and the earth but cometh unto the Beneficent as a slave.

کوئی نہیں آسمان اور زمین میں جو نہ آئے رحمٰن کا بندہ ہو کر [۱۰۵]

لَّقَدْ أَحْصَىٰهُمْ وَعَدَّهُمْ عَدًّۭا

Laqad ahsaahum wa addahum 'addaa

Verily He knoweth them and numbereth them with (right) numbering.

اُسکے پاس اُنکی شمار ہے اور گن رکھی ہے انکی گنتی

وَكُلُّهُمْ ءَاتِيهِ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فَرْدًا

Wa kulluhum aateehi Yawmal Qiyaamati fardaa

And each one of them will come unto Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone.

اور ہر ایک اُن میں آئے گا اُسکے سامنے قیامت کے دن اکیلا [۱۰۶]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وُدًّۭا

Innal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati sa yaj'alu lahumur Rahmaanu wuddaa

Lo! those who believe and do good works, the Beneficent will appoint for them love.

البتہ جو یقین لائے ہیں اور کی ہیں اُنہوں نے نیکیاں اُنکو دے گا رحمٰن محبت [۱۰۷]

فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ قَوْمًۭا لُّدًّۭا

Fa innamaa yassarnaahu bilisaanika litubashshira bihil muttaqeena wa tunzira bihee qawmal luddaa

And We make (this Scripture) easy in thy tongue, (O Muhammad) only that thou mayst bear good tidings therewith unto those who ward off (evil), and warn therewith the froward folk.

سو ہم نے آسان کر دیا یہ قرآن تیری زبان میں اسی واسطے کہ خوشخبری سنا دے تو ڈرنے والوں کو اور ڈرا دے جھگڑالو لوگوں کو [۱۰۸]

وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هَلْ تُحِسُّ مِنْهُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَوْ تَسْمَعُ لَهُمْ رِكْزًۢا

Wa kam ahlaknaa qabla hum min qarnin hal tuhissu minhum min ahadin aw tasma'u lahum rikzaa

And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound?

اور بہت ہلاک کر چکے ہم اُن سے پہلے جماعتیں آہٹ پاتا ہے تو اُن میں کسی کی یا سنتا ہے اُنکی بھنک [۱۰۹]
