Al-Hajj

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ ٱلسَّاعَةِ شَىْءٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

Yaaa ayyuhan naasuttaqoo Rabbakum; inna zalzalatas Saa'ati shai'un 'azeem

O mankind! Fear your Lord. Lo! the earthquake of the Hour (of Doom) is a tremendous thing.

لوگو ڈرو اپنے رب سے بیشک بھونچال قیامت کا ایک بڑی چیز ہے

يَوْمَ تَرَوْنَهَا تَذْهَلُ كُلُّ مُرْضِعَةٍ عَمَّآ أَرْضَعَتْ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا وَتَرَى ٱلنَّاسَ سُكَٰرَىٰ وَمَا هُم بِسُكَٰرَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّ عَذَابَ ٱللَّهِ شَدِيدٌۭ

Yawma tarawnahaa tazhalu kullu murdi'atin 'ammaaa arda'at wa tada'u kullu zaati hamlin hamlahaa wa tarannaasa sukaaraa wa maa hum bisukaaraa wa lakinaa 'azaabal laahi shadeed

On the day when ye behold it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling and every pregnant one will be delivered of her burden, and thou (Muhammad) wilt see mankind as drunken, yet they will not be drunken, but the Doom of Allah will be strong (upon them).

جس دن اُسکو دیکھو گے بھول جائیگی ہر دودھ پلانے والی اپنے دودھ پلائے کو اور ڈال دیگی ہر پیٹ والی اپنا پیٹ اور تو دیکھے لوگوں پر نشہ اور اُن پر نشہ نہیں پر آفت اللہ کی سخت ہے [۱]

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِى ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ وَيَتَّبِعُ كُلَّ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ مَّرِيدٍۢ

Wa minan naasi mai yujaadilu fil laahi bighairi 'ilminw wa yattabi'u kullaa shaitaanim mareed

Among mankind is he who disputeth concerning Allah without knowledge, and followeth each froward devil;

اور بعضے لوگ وہ ہیں جو جھگڑتے ہیں اللہ کی بات میں بیخبری سے [۲] اور پیروی کرتا ہے ہر شیطان سرکش کی [۳]

كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِ أَنَّهُۥ مَن تَوَلَّاهُ فَأَنَّهُۥ يُضِلُّهُۥ وَيَهْدِيهِ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ

Kutiba 'alaihi annahoo man tawallaahu fa annahoo yudil lauhoo wa yahdeehi ilaa 'azaabis sa'eer

For him it is decreed that whoso taketh him for friend, he verily will mislead him and will guide him to the punishment of the Flame.

جس کے حق میں لکھ دیا گیا ہے کہ جو کوئی اُسکا رفیق ہو سو وہ اُسکو بہکائے اور لیجائے عذاب میں دوزخ کے [۴]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى رَيْبٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْبَعْثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰكُم مِّن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍۢ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍۢ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضْغَةٍۢ مُّخَلَّقَةٍۢ وَغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍۢ لِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ ۚ وَنُقِرُّ فِى ٱلْأَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًۭا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ أَشُدَّكُمْ ۖ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرْذَلِ ٱلْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ عِلْمٍۢ شَيْـًۭٔا ۚ وَتَرَى ٱلْأَرْضَ هَامِدَةًۭ فَإِذَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا ٱلْمَآءَ ٱهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ وَأَنۢبَتَتْ مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍۢ

Yaaa ayyuhan naasu in kuntum fee raibim minal ba'si fa innaa khalaqnaakum min turaabin summa min nutfatin summaa min 'alaqatin summa mim mud ghatim mukhal laqatinw wa ghairi mukhalla qatil linubaiyina lakum; wa nuqirru fil arhaami maa nashaaa'u ilaaa ajalim musam man summa nukhrijukum tiflan summa litablughooo ashud dakum wa minkum mai yutawaffa wa minkum mai yuraddu ilaaa arzalil 'umuri likailaa ya'lama mim ba'di 'ilmin shai'aa; wa taral arda haamidatan fa izaaa anzalnaa 'alaihal maaa'ah tazzat wa rabat wa ambatat min kulli zawjim baheej

O mankind! if ye are in doubt concerning the Resurrection, then lo! We have created you from dust, then from a drop of seed, then from a clot, then from a little lump of flesh shapely and shapeless, that We may make (it) clear for you. And We cause what We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed time, and afterward We bring you forth as infants, then (give you growth) that ye attain your full strength. And among you there is he who dieth (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the most abject time of life, so that, after knowledge, he knoweth naught. And thou (Muhammad) seest the earth barren, but when We send down water thereon, it doth thrill and swell and put forth every lovely kind (of growth).

اے لوگو اگر تمکو دھوکا ہے جی اٹھنے میں تو ہم نے تمکو بنایا [۵] مٹی سے پھر قطرہ سے [۶] پھر جمے ہوئے خون سے پھر گوشت کی بوٹی نقشہ بنی ہوئی سے اور بدون نقشہ بنی ہوئی سے [۷] اس واسطے کہ تم کو کھول کر سنا دیں [۸] اور ٹھہرا رکھتے ہیں ہم پیٹ میں جو کچھ چاہیں ایک وقت معین تک [۹] پھر تم کو نکالتے ہیں لڑکا پھر جب تک کہ پہنچو اپنی جوانی کے زور کو اورکوئی تم میں سے قبضہ کر لیا جاتا ہے اور کوئی تم میں سے پھر چلایا جاتا ہے نکمی عمر تک تاکہ سمجھنے کے پیچھے کچھ نہ سمجھنے لگے [۱۰] اور تو دیکھتا ہے زمین خراب پڑی ہوئی پھر جہاں ہم نے اتارا اُس پر پانی تازی ہو گئ اور ابھری اور اگائیں ہر قسم قسم رونق کی چیزیں [۱۱]

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّهُۥ يُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَأَنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ

Zaalika bi annal laaha Huwal haqqu wa annahoo yuhyil mawtaa wa annahoo 'alaakulli shai'in Qadeer

That is because Allah, He is the Truth and because He quickeneth the dead, and because He is Able to do all things;

یہ سب کچھ اس واسطے کہ اللہ وہی ہے محقق اور وہ جِلاتا ہے مُردوں کو اور وہ ہر چیز کر سکتا ہے

وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٌۭ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ مَن فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ

Wa annas Saa'ata aatiya tul laa raiba feeha wa annal laaha yab'asuman fil quboor

And because the Hour will come, there is no doubt thereof; and because Allah will raise those who are in the graves.

اور یہ کہ قیامت آنی ہے اُس میں دھوکا نہیں اور یہ کہ اللہ اٹھائے گا قبروں میں پڑے ہوؤں کو [۱۲]

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِى ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ وَلَا هُدًۭى وَلَا كِتَٰبٍۢ مُّنِيرٍۢ

Wa minan naasi mai yujaadilu fil laahi bighairi 'ilminw wa laa hudanw wa laa Kitaabim Muneer

And among mankind is he who disputeth concerning Allah without knowledge or guidance or a scripture giving light,

اور بعضا شخص وہ ہے جو جھگڑتا ہے اللہ کی بات میں بغیر جانے اور بغیر دلیل اور بدون روشن کتاب کے [۱۳]

ثَانِىَ عِطْفِهِۦ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ لَهُۥ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌۭ ۖ وَنُذِيقُهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ عَذَابَ ٱلْحَرِيقِ

Saaniya 'itfihee liyudilla 'an sabeelil laahi lahoo fiddun yaa khizyunw wa nuzeequhoo Yawmal Qiyaamati 'azaabal lhareeq

Turning away in pride to beguile (men) from the way of Allah. For him in this world is ignominy, and on the Day of Resurrection We make him taste the doom of burning.

اپنی کروٹ موڑ کر [۱۴] تاکہ بہکائے اللہ کی راہ سے اُسکے لئے دنیا میں رسوائی ہے اور چکھائیں گے ہم اُسکو قیامت کے دن جلن کی مار [۱۵]

ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاكَ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّٰمٍۢ لِّلْعَبِيدِ

Zaalika bimaa qaddamat yadaaka wa annal laaha laisa bizallaamil lil'abeed

(And unto him it will be said): This is for that which thy two hands have sent before, and because Allah is no oppressor of His slaves.

یہ اُسکی وجہ سے جو آگے بھیج چکے تیرے دو ہاتھ اور اُس وجہ سےکہ اللہ نہیں ظلم کرتا بندوں پر [۱۶]

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَعْبُدُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ حَرْفٍۢ ۖ فَإِنْ أَصَابَهُۥ خَيْرٌ ٱطْمَأَنَّ بِهِۦ ۖ وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ فِتْنَةٌ ٱنقَلَبَ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِۦ خَسِرَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْخُسْرَانُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

Wa minan naasi mai ya'budul laaha 'alaa harfin fa in asaabahoo khairunit maanna bihee wa in asaabat hu fitnatunin qalaba 'alaa wajhihee khasirad dunyaa wal aakhirah; zaalika huwal khusraanul mubeen

And among mankind is he who worshippeth Allah upon a narrow marge so that if good befalleth him he is content therewith, but if a trial befalleth him, he falleth away utterly. He loseth both the world and the Hereafter. That is the sheer loss.

اور بعضا شخص وہ ہے کہ بندگی کرتا ہے اللہ کی کنارے پر پھر اگر پہنچی اُسکو بھلائی تو قائم ہو گیا اُس عبادت پر اور اگر پہنچ گئ اُسکو جانچ پھر گیا الٹا اپنے منہ پر گنوائی دنیا اور آخرت یہی ہے ٹوٹا صریح [۱۷]

يَدْعُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُۥ وَمَا لَا يَنفَعُهُۥ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَٰلُ ٱلْبَعِيدُ

Yad'oo min doonil laahi maa laa yadurruhoo wa maa laa yanfa'uh' zaalika huwad dalaalul ba'ed

He calleth, beside Allah, unto that which hurteth him not nor benefiteth him. That is the far error.

پکارتا ہے اللہ کے سوائے ایسی چیز کو کہ نہ اُسکا نقصان کرے اور نہ اُسکا فائدہ کرے یہی ہے دور جا پڑنا گمراہ ہو کر [۱۸]

يَدْعُوا۟ لَمَن ضَرُّهُۥٓ أَقْرَبُ مِن نَّفْعِهِۦ ۚ لَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَلَبِئْسَ ٱلْعَشِيرُ

Yad'oo laman darruhooo aqrabu min naf'ih; labi'salmawlaa wa labi'sal 'asheer

He calleth unto him whose harm is nearer than his benefit; verily an evil patron and verily an evil friend!

پکارے جاتا ہے اُسکو جس کا ضرر پہلے پہنچے نفع سے [۱۹] بیشک برا دوست ہے اور برا رفیق [۲۰]

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يُرِيدُ

Innal laaha yudkhilul laeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaar; innal laaha yaf'alu maa yureed

Lo! Allah causeth those who believe and do good works to enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow. Lo! Allah doth what He intendeth.

اللہ داخل کرے گا اُنکو جو ایمان لائے اور کیں بھلائیاں باغوں میں بہتی ہیں نیچے اُنکے نہریں [۲۱] اللہ کرتا ہے جو چاہے [۲۲]

مَن كَانَ يَظُنُّ أَن لَّن يَنصُرَهُ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ بِسَبَبٍ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ ثُمَّ لْيَقْطَعْ فَلْيَنظُرْ هَلْ يُذْهِبَنَّ كَيْدُهُۥ مَا يَغِيظُ

Man kaana yazunnu allai yansurahul laahu fid dunyaa wal aakhirati fal yamdud bisababin ilas samaaa'i summal yaqta' falyanzur hal yuzhibanna kaiduhoo maa yagheez

Whoso is wont to think (through envy) that Allah will not give him (Muhammad) victory in the world and the Hereafter (and is enraged at the thought of his victory), let him stretch a rope up to the roof (of his dwelling), and let him hang himself. Then let him see whether his strategy dispelleth that whereat he rageth!.

جسکو یہ خیال ہو کہ ہرگز نہ مدد کرے گا اُسکی اللہ دنیا میں اور آخرت میں تو تان لے ایک رسی آسمان کو پھر کاٹ ڈالے اب دیکھے کچھ جاتا رہا اُسکی اس تدبیر سے اُس کا غصہ [۲۳]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ ءَايَٰتٍۭ بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَهْدِى مَن يُرِيدُ

Wa kazaalika anzalnaahu aayaatim baiyinaatinw wa annal laaha yahdee mai yureed

Thus We reveal it as plain revelations, and verily Allah guideth whom He will.

اور یوں اتارا ہم نے یہ قرآن کھلی باتیں اور یہ ہے کہ اللہ سمجھا دیتا ہے جسکو چاہے [۲۴]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلصَّٰبِـِٔينَ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ وَٱلْمَجُوسَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ شَهِيدٌ

Innal lazeena aamanoo wallazeena haadoo was saabi'eena wan nasaaraa wal Majoosa wallazeena ashrakooo innal laaha yafsilu bainahum yawmal qiyaamah; innal laaha 'alaa kulli shai'in shaheed

Lo! those who believe (this revelation), and those who are Jews, and the Sabaeans and the Christians and the Magians and the idolaters - Lo! Allah will decide between them on the Day of Resurrection. Lo! Allah is Witness over all things.

جو لوگ مسلمان ہیں اور جو یہود ہیں اور صابئیں اور نصاریٰ اور مجوس [۲۵] اور جو شرک کرتے ہیں مقرر اللہ فیصلہ کرے گا اُن میں قیامت کے دن اللہ کے سامنے ہے ہر چیز [۲۶]

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ وَٱلنُّجُومُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ وَٱلدَّوَآبُّ وَكَثِيرٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۗ وَمَن يُهِنِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن مُّكْرِمٍ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۩

Alam tara annal laaha yasjudu lahoo man fis samaawaati wa man fil ardi wash shamsu walqamaru wan nu joomu wal jibaalu wash shajaru wad dawaaabbu wa kaseerum minan naasi wa kaseerun haqqa 'alaihil 'azaab; wa mai yuhinil laahu famaa lahoo mim mukrim; innallaaha yaf'alu maa yashaaa

Hast thou not seen that unto Allah payeth adoration whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the hills, and the trees, and the beasts, and many of mankind, while there are many unto whom the doom is justly due. He whom Allah scorneth, there is none to give him honour. Lo! Allah doeth what He will.

تو نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ کو سجدہ کرتا ہے جو کوئی آسمان میں ہے اور جو کوئی زمین میں ہے اور سورج اور چاند اورتارے اور پہاڑ اور درخت اور جانور اور بہت آدمی [۲۷] اور بہت ہیں کہ اُن پر ٹھہر چکا عذاب [۲۸] اور جسکو اللہ ذلیل کرے اُسے کوئی نہیں عزت دینے والا اللہ کرتا ہے جو چاہے [۲۹]

۞ هَٰذَانِ خَصْمَانِ ٱخْتَصَمُوا۟ فِى رَبِّهِمْ ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌۭ مِّن نَّارٍۢ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيمُ

Haazaani khasmaanikh tasamoo fee Rabbihim fal lazeena kafaroo qutti'at lahum siyaabum min naar; yusabbu min fawqi ru'oosihimul hameem

These twain (the believers and the disbelievers) are two opponents who contend concerning their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them; boiling fluid will be poured down on their heads,

یہ دو مدعی ہیں جھگڑے ہیں اپنے رب پر [۳۰] سو جو منکر ہوئے اُنکے واسطے بیونتے ہیں کپڑے آگ کے [۳۱] ڈالتےہیں اُنکے سر پر جلتا پانی

يُصْهَرُ بِهِۦ مَا فِى بُطُونِهِمْ وَٱلْجُلُودُ

Yusharu bihee maa fee butoonihim waljulood

Whereby that which is in their bellies, and their skins too, will be melted;

گل کر نکل جاتا ہے اُس سے جو کچھ اُنکے پیٹ میں ہے اور کھال بھی

وَلَهُم مَّقَٰمِعُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍۢ

Wa lahum maqaami'u min hadeed

And for them are hooked rods of iron.

اور اُنکے واسطے ہتوڑے ہیں لوہے کے [۳۲]

كُلَّمَآ أَرَادُوٓا۟ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا مِنْ غَمٍّ أُعِيدُوا۟ فِيهَا وَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلْحَرِيقِ

Kullamaa araadooo any yakhrujoo minhaa min ghammin u'eedoo feeha wa zooqoo 'azaabal hareeq

Whenever, in their anguish, they would go forth from thence they are driven back therein and (it is said unto them): Taste the doom of burning.

جب چاہیں کہ نکل پڑیں دوزخ سے گھٹنے کے مارے پھر ڈال دیے جائیں اُسکے اندر اور چکھتے رہو جلنے کا عذاب [۳۳]

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٍۢ وَلُؤْلُؤًۭا ۖ وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِيرٌۭ

Innal laaha yudkhilul lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru yuhallawna feehaa min asaawira min zahabinw wa lu'lu'aa; wa libaasuhum feehaa hareer

Lo! Allah will cause those who believe and do good works to enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will be allowed armlets of gold, and pearls, and their raiment therein will be silk.

بیشک اللہ داخل کرے گا اُنکو جو یقین لائے اور کیں بھلائیاں باغوں میں بہتی ہیں انکے نیچےنہریں گہنا پہنائیں گے اُنکو وہاں کنگن سونے کے اور موتی [۳۴] اور اُنکی پوشاک ہے وہاں ریشم کی [۳۵]

وَهُدُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلطَّيِّبِ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ وَهُدُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ

Wa hudooo ilat taiyibi minal qawli wa hudooo ilaaa siraatil hameed

They are guided unto gentle speech; they are guided unto the path of the Glorious One.

اور راہ پائی انہوں نے ستھری بات کی [۳۶] اور پائی اُس تعریفوں والے کی راہ [۳۷]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلْنَٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ سَوَآءً ٱلْعَٰكِفُ فِيهِ وَٱلْبَادِ ۚ وَمَن يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍۭ بِظُلْمٍۢ نُّذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍۢ

Innal lazeena kafaroo wa yasuddoona 'an sabeelil laahi wal Masjidil Haraamil lazee ja'alnaahu linnaasi sawaaa'anil 'aakifu feehi walbaad; wa mai yurid feehi bi ilhaadim bizulmin nuziqhu min 'azaabin aleem

Lo! those who disbelieve and bar (men) from the way of Allah and from the Inviolable Place of Worship, which We have appointed for mankind together, the dweller therein and the nomad: whosoever seeketh wrongful partiality therein, him We shall cause to taste a painful doom.

جو لوگ منکر ہوئے اور روکتے ہیں اللہ کی راہ سے اور مسجد حرام سے جو ہم نے بنائی سب لوگوں کے واسطے برابر ہے اس میں رہنے والا اور باہر سے آنے والا [۳۸] اور جو اُس میں چاہے ٹیڑھی راہ شرارت سے اسے ہم چکھائیں گے ایک عذاب دردناک [۳۹]

وَإِذْ بَوَّأْنَا لِإِبْرَٰهِيمَ مَكَانَ ٱلْبَيْتِ أَن لَّا تُشْرِكْ بِى شَيْـًۭٔا وَطَهِّرْ بَيْتِىَ لِلطَّآئِفِينَ وَٱلْقَآئِمِينَ وَٱلرُّكَّعِ ٱلسُّجُودِ

Wa iz bawwaanaa li Ibraaheema makaanal Baiti allaa tushrik bee shai'anw wa tahhir Baitiya litaaa'ifeena walqaaa' imeena warrukka 'is sujood

And (remember) when We prepared for Abraham the place of the (holy) House, saying: Ascribe thou no thing as partner unto Me, and purify My House for those who make the round (thereof) and those who stand and those who bow and make prostration.

اور جب ٹھیک کر دی ہم نے ابراہیم کو جگہ اُس گھر کی [۴۰] کہ شریک نہ کرنا میرے ساتھ کسی کو [۴۱] اور پاک رکھ میرا گھر طواف کرنے والوں کے واسطے اور کھڑے رہنے والوں کے اور رکوع و سجود والوں کے [۴۲]

وَأَذِّن فِى ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْحَجِّ يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالًۭا وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٍۢ يَأْتِينَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍۢ

Wa azzin fin naasi bil Hajji yaatooka rijaalanw wa 'alaa kulli daamiriny yaateena min kulli fajjin 'ameeq

And proclaim unto mankind the pilgrimage. They will come unto thee on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every deep ravine,

اور پکار دے لوگوں میں حج کے واسطے کہ آئیں تیری طرف پیروں چل کر اور سوار ہو کر دبلے دبلے اونٹوں پر چلے آئیں راہوں دور سے [۴۳]

لِّيَشْهَدُوا۟ مَنَٰفِعَ لَهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ فِىٓ أَيَّامٍۢ مَّعْلُومَٰتٍ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّنۢ بَهِيمَةِ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ ۖ فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا۟ ٱلْبَآئِسَ ٱلْفَقِيرَ

Li yashhadoo manaafi'a lahum wa yazkurus mal laahi feee ayyaamimma'loomaatin 'alaa maa razaqahum mim baheematil an'aami fakuloo minhaa wa at'imul baaa'isal faqeer

That they may witness things that are of benefit to them, and mention the name of Allah on appointed days over the beast of cattle that He hath bestowed upon them. Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor unfortunate.

تاکہ پہنچیں اپنے فائدہ کی جگہوں پر [۴۴] اور پڑھیں اللہ کا نام کئ دن جو معلوم ہیں ذبح پر چوپایوں مواشی کے جو اللہ نے دیے ہیں اُنکو [۴۵] سو کھاؤ اُس میں سے اور کِھلاؤ برے حال کے محتاج کو [۴۶]

ثُمَّ لْيَقْضُوا۟ تَفَثَهُمْ وَلْيُوفُوا۟ نُذُورَهُمْ وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا۟ بِٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْعَتِيقِ

Summal yaqdoo tafasahum wal yoofoo nuzoorahum wal yattawwafoo bil Baitil 'Ateeq

Then let them make an end of their unkemptness and pay their vows and go around the ancient House.

پھر چاہیئے کہ ختم کر دیں اپنا میل کچیل اور پوری کریں اپنی منتیں اور طواف کریں اس قدیم گھر کا [۴۷]

ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ حُرُمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ ۗ وَأُحِلَّتْ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ ٱلرِّجْسَ مِنَ ٱلْأَوْثَٰنِ وَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ قَوْلَ ٱلزُّورِ

Zaalika wa mai yu'azzim hurumaatil laahi fahuwa khairul lahoo 'inda Rabbih; wa uhillat lakumul an'aamu illaa maa yutlaa 'alaikum fajtanibur rijsa minal awsaani wajtaniboo qawlaz zoor

That (is the command). And whoso magnifieth the sacred things of Allah, it will be well for him in the sight of his Lord. The cattle are lawful unto you save that which hath been told you. So shun the filth of idols, and shun lying speech,

یہ سن چکے اور جو کوئی بڑائی رکھے اللہ کی حرمتوں کی سو وہ بہتر ہے آُسکے لئے اپنے رب کے پاس [۴۸] اور حلال ہیں تمکو چوپائے [۴۹] مگر جو تمکو سناتےہیں [۵۰] سو بچتے رہو بتوں کی گندگی سے [۵۱] اور بچتے رہو جھوٹی بات سے [۵۲]

حُنَفَآءَ لِلَّهِ غَيْرَ مُشْرِكِينَ بِهِۦ ۚ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَخْطَفُهُ ٱلطَّيْرُ أَوْ تَهْوِى بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى مَكَانٍۢ سَحِيقٍۢ

Hunafaaa'a lillaahi ghaira mushrikeena bih; wa mai yushrik billaahi faka annamaa kharra minas samaaa'i fatakh tafuhut tairu aw tahwee bihir reehu bee makaanin saheeq

Turning unto Allah (only), not ascribing partners unto Him; for whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky and the birds had snatched him or the wind had blown him to a far-off place.

ایک اللہ کی طرف ہو کر نہ کہ اُسکے ساتھ شریک بنا کر [۵۳] اور جس نے شریک بنایا اللہ کا سو جیسے گر پڑا آسمان سے پھر اُچکتے ہیں اُسکو اڑنے والے مردار خوار یا جا ڈالا اُسکو ہوا نے نے کسی دور مکان میں [۵۴]

ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ شَعَٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقْوَى ٱلْقُلُوبِ

Zaalika wa mai yu'azzim sha'aaa'iral laahi fa innahaa min taqwal quloob

That (is the command). And whoso magnifieth the offerings consecrated to Allah, it surely is from devotion of the hearts,

یہ سن چکے اور جو کوئی ادب رکھے اللہ کے نام لگی چیزوں کا سو وہ دل کی پرہیزگاری کی بات ہے [۵۵]

لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ثُمَّ مَحِلُّهَآ إِلَى ٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْعَتِيقِ

Lakum feehaa manaafi'u ilaaa ajalim musamman summa mahilluhaaa ilal Baitil 'Ateeq

Therein are benefits for you for an appointed term; and afterward they are brought for sacrifice unto the ancient House.

تمہارے واسطے چوپایوں میں فائدے ہیں ایک مقرر وعدہ تک پھر اُنکو پہنچنا اُس قدیم گھر تک [۵۶]

وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍۢ جَعَلْنَا مَنسَكًۭا لِّيَذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّنۢ بَهِيمَةِ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ ۗ فَإِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ فَلَهُۥٓ أَسْلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُخْبِتِينَ

Wa likulli ummatin ja'alnaa mansakal liyazkurus mal laahi 'alaa maa razaqahum mim baheematil an'aam; failaahukum ilaahunw Waahidun falahooo aslimoo; wa bashshiril mukhbiteen

And for every nation have We appointed a ritual, that they may mention the name of Allah over the beast of cattle that He hath given them for food; and your god is One God, therefor surrender unto Him. And give good tidings (O Muhammad) to the humble,

اور ہر امت کے واسطے ہم نے مقرر کر دی ہے قربانی کہ یاد کریں اللہ کے نام ذبح پر چوپایوں کے جو اُنکو (اللہ نے دیے) سو اللہ تمہارا ایک اللہ ہے سو اسی کے حکم میں رہو [۵۷] اور بشارت سنا دے عاجزی کرنے والوں کو [۵۸]

ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَصَابَهُمْ وَٱلْمُقِيمِى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ

Allazeena izaa zukiral laahu wajilat quloobuhum wassaabireena 'alaa maaa asaabahum walmuqeemis Salaati wa mimmaa razaqnaahum yunfiqoon

Whose hearts fear when Allah is mentioned, and the patient of whatever may befall them, and those who establish worship and who spend of that We have bestowed on them.

وہ کہ جب نام لیجئے اللہ کا ڈر جائیں انکے دل اور سہنے والے اُسکو جو اُن پر پڑے [۵۹] اور قائم رکھنے والے نماز کے اورہمارا دیا ہوا کچھ خرچ کرتے رہتے ہیں [۶۰]

وَٱلْبُدْنَ جَعَلْنَٰهَا لَكُم مِّن شَعَٰٓئِرِ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمْ فِيهَا خَيْرٌۭ ۖ فَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا صَوَآفَّ ۖ فَإِذَا وَجَبَتْ جُنُوبُهَا فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا۟ ٱلْقَانِعَ وَٱلْمُعْتَرَّ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرْنَٰهَا لَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

Walbudna ja'alnaahaa lakum min sha'aaa'iril laahi lakum feehaa khairun fazkurusmal laahi 'alaihaa sawaaff; fa izaa wajabat junoobuhaa fakuloo minhaa wa at'imul qaani'a walmu'tarr; kazaalika sakhkharnaahaa lakum la'allakum tashkuroon

And the camels! We have appointed them among the ceremonies of Allah. Therein ye have much good. So mention the name of Allah over them when they are drawn up in lines. Then when their flanks fall (dead), eat thereof and feed the beggar and the suppliant. Thus have We made them subject unto you, that haply ye may give thanks.

اور کعبہ کے چڑھانے کے اونٹ ٹھہرائے ہیں ہم نے تمہارے واسطے نشانی اللہ کے نام کی تمہارے واسطے اس میں بھلائی ہے سو پڑھو اُن پر نام اللہ کا قطار باندھ کر پھر جب گر پڑے اُنکی کروٹ تو کھاؤ اُس میں سے[۶۱] اور کھلاؤ صبر سے بیٹھے کو اوربیقراری کرتے کو [۶۲] اسی طرح تمہارے بس میں کر دیا ہم نے اُن جانوروں کو تاکہ تم احسان مانو [۶۳]

لَن يَنَالَ ٱللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَآؤُهَا وَلَٰكِن يَنَالُهُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ مِنكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمْ لِتُكَبِّرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَىٰكُمْ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Lany yanaalal laaha luhoo muhaa wa laa dimaaa'uhaa wa laakiny yanaaluhut taqwaa minkum; kazaalika sakhkharhaa lakum litukabbirul laaha 'alaa ma hadaakum; wa bashshirul muhsineen

Their flesh and their food reach not Allah, but the devotion from you reacheth Him. Thus have We made them subject unto you that ye may magnify Allah that He hath guided you. And give good tidings (O Muhammad) to the good.

اللہ کو نہیں پہنچتا اُن کا گوشت اور نہ اُن کا لہو لیکن اُسکو پہنچتا ہے تمہارے دل کا ادب [۶۴] اسی طرح اُنکو بس میں کر دیا تمہارے کہ اللہ کی بڑائی پڑھو اس بات پر کہ تم کو راہ سجھائی اور بشارت سنا دے نیکی والوں کو [۶۵]

۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدَٰفِعُ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٍۢ كَفُورٍ

Innal laaha yudaafi' 'anil lazeena aamanoo; innal laaha laa yuhibbu kulla khawwaanin kafoor

Lo! Allah defendeth those who are true. Lo! Allah loveth not each treacherous ingrate.

اللہ دشمنوں کو ہٹا دے گا ایمان والوں سے [۶۶] اللہ کو خوش نہیں آتا کوئی دغاباز نا شکر [۶۷]

أُذِنَ لِلَّذِينَ يُقَٰتَلُونَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ظُلِمُوا۟ ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِيرٌ

Uzina lillazeena yuqaataloona bi annahum zulimoo; wa innal laaha 'alaa nasrihim la Qaderr

Sanction is given unto those who fight because they have been wronged; and Allah is indeed Able to give them victory;

حکم ہوا اُن لوگوں کو جن سے کافر لڑتے ہیں اس واسطے کہ اُن پر ظلم ہوا [۶۸] اور اللہ اُنکی مدد کرنے پر قادر ہے [۶۹]

ٱلَّذِينَ أُخْرِجُوا۟ مِن دِيَٰرِهِم بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ إِلَّآ أَن يَقُولُوا۟ رَبُّنَا ٱللَّهُ ۗ وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّاسَ بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍۢ لَّهُدِّمَتْ صَوَٰمِعُ وَبِيَعٌۭ وَصَلَوَٰتٌۭ وَمَسَٰجِدُ يُذْكَرُ فِيهَا ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ كَثِيرًۭا ۗ وَلَيَنصُرَنَّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُۥٓ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَقَوِىٌّ عَزِيزٌ

Allazeena ukhrijoo min diyaarihim bighairi haqqin illaaa any yaqooloo rabbunallaah; wa law laa daf'ul laahin naasa ba'dahum biba'dil lahuddimat sawaami'u wa biya'unw wa salawaatunw wa masaajidu yuzkaru feehasmul laahi kaseeraa; wa layansurannal laahu mai yansuruh; innal laaha la qawiyyun 'Azeez

Those who have been driven from their homes unjustly only because they said: Our Lord is Allah - For had it not been for Allah's repelling some men by means of others, cloisters and churches and oratories and mosques, wherein the name of Allah is oft mentioned, would assuredly have been pulled down. Verily Allah helpeth one who helpeth Him. Lo! Allah is Strong, Almighty -

وہ لوگ جنکو نکالا اُنکے گھروں سے اور دعویٰ کچھ نہیں سوائے اسکے کہ وہ کہتے ہیں ہمارا رب اللہ ہے [۷۰] اور اگر نہ ہٹایا کرتا اللہ لوگوں کو ایک کو دوسرے سے تو ڈھائے جاتے تکئے اور مدرسے اور عبادت خانے اور مسجدیں جن میں نام پڑھا جاتا ہے اللہ کا بہت اور اللہ مقرر مدد کرے گا اُسکی جو مدد کرے گا اُسکی بیشک اللہ زبردست ہے زور والا [۷۱]

ٱلَّذِينَ إِن مَّكَّنَّٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَمَرُوا۟ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَوْا۟ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ ۗ وَلِلَّهِ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْأُمُورِ

Allazeena im makkan naahum fil ardi aqaamus Salaata wa aatawuz Zakaata wa amaroo bilma'roofi wa nahaw 'anil munkar; wa lillaahi 'aaqibatul umoor

Those who, if We give them power in the land, establish worship and pay the poor-due and enjoin kindness and forbid iniquity. And Allah's is the sequel of events.

وہ لوگ کہ اگر ہم اُنکو قدرت دیں ملک میں تو وہ قائم رکھیں نماز اور دیں زکوٰۃ اور حکم کر دیں بھلے کام کا اور منع کریں برائی سے [۷۲] اور اللہ کے اختیار میں ہے آخر ہر کام کا [۷۳]

وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍۢ وَعَادٌۭ وَثَمُودُ

Wa iny yukazzibooka faqad kazzabat qablahum qawmu Nooinw wa Aadunw wa Samood

If they deny thee (Muhammad), even so the folk of Noah, and (the tribes of) A'ad and Thamud, before thee, denied (Our messengers);

اور اگر تجھ کو جھٹلائیں تو اُن سے پہلے جھٹلا چکی ہے نوح کی قوم اور عاد اور ثمود

وَقَوْمُ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍۢ

Wa qawmu Ibraaheema wa qawmu Loot

And the folk of Abraham and the folk of Lot;

اور ابراہیم کی قوم اور لوط کی قوم

وَأَصْحَٰبُ مَدْيَنَ ۖ وَكُذِّبَ مُوسَىٰ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ

Wa as haabu Madyana wa kuzziba Moosaa fa amlaitu lilkaafireena summa akhaztuhum fakaifa kaana nakeer

(And) the dwellers in Midian. And Moses was denied; but I indulged the disbelievers a long while, then I seized them, and how (terrible) was My abhorrence!

اور مدین کے لوگ [۷۴] اور موسٰی کو جھٹلایا [۷۵] پھر میں نے ڈھیل دی منکروں کر پھر پکڑ لیا اُنکو تو کیسا ہوا میرا انکار [۷۶]

فَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَٰهَا وَهِىَ ظَالِمَةٌۭ فَهِىَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَبِئْرٍۢ مُّعَطَّلَةٍۢ وَقَصْرٍۢ مَّشِيدٍ

Faka ayyim min qaryatin ahlaknaahaa wa hiya zaalimatun fahiya khaawiyatun 'alaa 'urooshihaa wa bi'rim mu'at talatinw wa qasrim masheed

How many a township have We destroyed while it was sinful, so that it lieth (to this day) in ruins, and (how many) a deserted well and lofty tower!

سو کتنی بستیاں ہم نے غارت کر ڈالیں اور وہ گنہگار تھیں اب وہ گری پڑی ہیں اپنی چھتوں پر [۷۷] اور کتنے کونئیں نکمے پڑے اور کتنے محل گچ کاری کے [۷۸]

أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌۭ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَآ أَوْ ءَاذَانٌۭ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا ۖ فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ وَلَٰكِن تَعْمَى ٱلْقُلُوبُ ٱلَّتِى فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ

Afalam yaseeroo fil ardi fatakoona lahum quloobuny ya'qiloona bihaaa aw aazaanuny yasm'oona bihaa fa innahaa laa ta'mal absaaru wa laakin ta'mal quloobul latee fissudoor

Have they not travelled in the land, and have they hearts wherewith to feel and ears wherewith to hear? For indeed it is not the eyes that grow blind, but it is the hearts, which are within the bosoms, that grow blind.

کیا سیر نہیں کی ملک کی جو اُنکے دل ہوتے جن سے سمجھتے یا کان ہوتے جن سے سنتے [۷۹] سو کچھ آنکھیں اندھی نہیں ہوتیں پر اندھے ہو جاتے ہیں دل جو سینوں میں ہیں [۸۰]

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلْعَذَابِ وَلَن يُخْلِفَ ٱللَّهُ وَعْدَهُۥ ۚ وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍۢ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ

Wa yasta'juloonaka bil'azaabi wa lany yukhlifal laahu wa'dah; wa inna yawman 'inda Rabbika ka'alfi sanatim mimmaa ta'uddoon

And they will bid thee hasten on the Doom, and Allah faileth not His promise, but lo! a Day with Allah is as a thousand years of what ye reckon.

اور تجھ سے جلدی مانگتے ہیں عذاب اور اللہ ہرگز نہ ٹالے گا اپنا وعدہ [۸۱] اور ایک دن تیرے رب کے یہاں ہزار برس کے برابر ہوتا ہے جو تم گنتے ہو [۸۲]

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِىَ ظَالِمَةٌۭ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهَا وَإِلَىَّ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

Wa ka ayyim min qaryatin amlaitu lahaa wa hiya zaalimatun summa akhaztuhaa wa ilaiyal maseer

And how many a township did I suffer long though it was sinful! Then I grasped it. Unto Me is the return.

اور کتنی بستیاں ہیں کہ میں نے اُنکو ڈھیل دی اور وہ گنہگار تھیں پھر میں نے اُنکو پکڑا اور میری طرف پھر کر آنا ہے [۸۳]

قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

Qul yaaa ayyuhan naasu innamaaa ana lakum nazeerum mubeen

Say: O mankind! I am only a plain warner unto you.

تو کہہ اے لوگو میں تو ڈر سنا دینے والا ہوں تمکو کھول کر [۸۴]

فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ وَرِزْقٌۭ كَرِيمٌۭ

Fallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilu saalihaati lahum maghfiratunw wa rizqun kareem

Those who believe and do good works, for them is pardon and a rich provision;

سو جو لوگ یقین لائے اور کیں بھلائیاں اُنکے گناہ بخش دیتے ہیں اور اُنکو روزی ہے عزت کی [۸۵]

وَٱلَّذِينَ سَعَوْا۟ فِىٓ ءَايَٰتِنَا مُعَٰجِزِينَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

Wallazeena sa'aw feee Aayaatinaa mu'aajizeena ulaaa ika As-haabul jaheem

While those who strive to thwart Our revelations, such are rightful owners of the Fire.

اور جو دوڑے ہماری آیتوں کے ہرانے کو وہی ہیں دوزخ کے رہنے والے

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍۢ وَلَا نَبِىٍّ إِلَّآ إِذَا تَمَنَّىٰٓ أَلْقَى ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ فِىٓ أُمْنِيَّتِهِۦ فَيَنسَخُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يُلْقِى ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ ثُمَّ يُحْكِمُ ٱللَّهُ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌۭ

Wa maaa arsalnaa min qablika mir Rasoolinnw wa laa Nabiyyin illaaa izaaa tamannaaa alqash Shaitaanu feee umniy yatihee fa yansakhul laahu maa yulqish Shaitaanu summa yuhkimul laahu aayaatih; wallaahu 'Aleemun Hakeem

Never sent We a messenger or a prophet before thee but when He recited (the message) Satan proposed (opposition) in respect of that which he recited thereof. But Allah abolisheth that which Satan proposeth. Then Allah establisheth His revelations. Allah is Knower, Wise;

اور جو رسول بھیجا ہم نے تجھ سے پہلے یا نبی سو جب لگا خیال باندھنے شیطان نے ملا دیا اُسکے خیال میں پھر اللہ مٹا دیتا ہے شیطان کا ملایا ہوا پھر پکی کر دیتا ہے اپنی باتیں اور اللہ سب خبر رکھتا ہے حکمتوں والا [۸۶]

لِّيَجْعَلَ مَا يُلْقِى ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ فِتْنَةًۭ لِّلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌۭ وَٱلْقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ لَفِى شِقَاقٍۭ بَعِيدٍۢ

Liyaj'ala maa yulqish Shaitaanu fitnatal lillazeena fee quloobihim maradunw walqaasiyati quloobuhum; wa innaz zaalimeena lafee shiqaaqim ba'eed

That He may make that which the devil proposeth a temptation for those in whose hearts is a disease, and those whose hearts are hardened - Lo! the evil-doers are in open schism -

اس واسطے کہ جو کچھ شیطان نے ملایا اس سے جانچے اُنکو کہ جنکے دل میں روگ ہیں اور جنکے دل سخت ہیں اور گنہگار تو ہیں مخالفت میں دور جا پڑے

وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ أَنَّهُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَتُخْبِتَ لَهُۥ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهَادِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ

Wa liya'lamal lazeena ootul 'ilma annahul haqqu mir Rabbika fa yu'minoo bihee fatukhbita ahoo quloobuhum; wa innal laaha lahaadil lazeena aamanoo ilaa Siraatim Mustaqeem

And that those who have been given knowledge may know that it is the truth from thy Lord, so that they may believe therein and their hearts may submit humbly unto Him. Lo! Allah verily is guiding those who believe unto a right path.

اور اس واسطے کہ معلوم کر لیں وہ لوگ جنکو سمجھ ملی ہے کہ یہ تحقیق ہے تیرے رب کی طرف سے پھر اس پر یقین لائیں اور نرم ہو جائیں اُسکے آگے اُنکے دل اور اللہ سمجھانے والا ہے یقین لانے والوں کو راہ سیدھی [۸۷]

وَلَا يَزَالُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى مِرْيَةٍۢ مِّنْهُ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَقِيمٍ

Wa laa yazaalul lazeena kafaroo fee miryatim minhu hattaa taatiyahumus Saa'atu baghtatan aw yaatiyahum 'azaabu Yawmin 'aqeem

And those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt thereof until the Hour come upon them unawares, or there come unto them the doom of a disastrous day.

اور منکروں کوہمیشہ رہے گا اُس میں دھوکا جب تک کہ آ پہنچے اُن پر قیامت بیخبری میں یا آ پہنچے اُن پر آفت ایسے دن کی جس میں راہ نہیں خلاصی کی [۸۸]

ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلَّهِ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

Almulku Yawma'izil lillaahi yahkumu bainahum; fallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati fee jannaatin Na'eem

The Sovereignty on that day will be Allah's, He will judge between them. Then those who believed and did good works will be in Gardens of Delight,

راج اُس دن اللہ کا ہے اُن میں فیصلہ کرے گا [۸۹] سو جو یقین لائے اور کیں بھلائیاں نعمت کے باغوں میں میں ہیں

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ مُّهِينٌۭ

Wallazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa fa ulaaa'ika lahum 'azaabum muheen

While those who disbelieved and denied Our revelations, for them will be a shameful doom.

اور جو منکر ہوئے اور جھٹلائیں ہماری باتیں سو انکے لئے ہے ذلت کا عذاب

وَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ قُتِلُوٓا۟ أَوْ مَاتُوا۟ لَيَرْزُقَنَّهُمُ ٱللَّهُ رِزْقًا حَسَنًۭا ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ

Wallazeena haajaroo fee sabeelil laahi summa qutilooo law maatoo la yarzuqan nahumul laahu rizqan hasanaa; wa innal laaha la Huwa khairur raaziqeen

Those who fled their homes for the cause of Allah and then were slain or died, Allah verily will provide for them a good provision. Lo! Allah, He verily is Best of all who make provision.

اور جو لوگ گھر چھوڑ آئے اللہ کی راہ میں پھر مارے گئے یا مر گئے البتہ اُنکو دے گا اللہ روزی خاصی اور االلہ ہے سب سے بہتر روزی دینے والا

لَيُدْخِلَنَّهُم مُّدْخَلًۭا يَرْضَوْنَهُۥ ۗ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلِيمٌ حَلِيمٌۭ

La yudkhilan nahum mud khalany yardawnah; wa innal laaha la 'Aleemun Haleem

Assuredly He will cause them to enter by an entry that they will love. Lo! Allah verily is Knower, Indulgent.

البتہ پہنچائے گا اُنکو ایک جگہ جسکو پسند کریں گے اور اللہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے تحمل والا [۹۰]

۞ ذَٰلِكَ وَمَنْ عَاقَبَ بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبَ بِهِۦ ثُمَّ بُغِىَ عَلَيْهِ لَيَنصُرَنَّهُ ٱللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَعَفُوٌّ غَفُورٌۭ

Zaalika wa man 'aaqaba bimisli maa 'ooqiba bihee summa bughiya 'alaihi la yansurannahul laah; innal laaha la 'Afuwwun Ghafoor

That (is so). And whoso hath retaliated with the like of that which he was made to suffer and then hath (again) been wronged, Allah will succour him. Lo! Allah verily is Mild, Forgiving.

یہ سن چکے اور جس نے بدلہ لیا جیسا کہ اُسکو دکھ دیا تھا پھر اُس پر کوئی زیادتی کرے تو البتہ اُسکی مدد کرے گا اللہ [۹۱] بیشک اللہ درگذر کرنے والا بخشنے والا ہے [۹۲]

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌۢ بَصِيرٌۭ

Zaalika bi annal laaha yoolijul laila fin nahaari wa yoolijun nahaara fil laili wa annal laaha Samee'um Baseer

That is because Allah maketh the night to pass into the day and maketh the day to pass into the night, and because Allah is Hearer, Seer.

یہ اس واسطے کہ اللہ لے لیتا ہے رات کو دن میں اور دن کو رات میں [۹۳] اور اللہ سنتا دیکھتا ہے [۹۴]

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ هُوَ ٱلْبَٰطِلُ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْكَبِيرُ

Zaalika bi annal laaha Huwal haqqu wa anna maa yad'oona min doonihee huwal baatilu wa annal laaha Huwal 'Aliyyul kabeer

That is because Allah, He is the True, and that whereon they call instead of Him, it is the false, and because Allah, He is the High, the Great.

یہ اس واسطے کہ اللہ وہی ہے صحیح اور جسکو پکارتے ہیں اُسکے سوائے وہی ہے غلط اور اللہ وہی ہے سب سے اوپر بڑا [۹۵]

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَتُصْبِحُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مُخْضَرَّةً ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌۭ

Alam tara annal laaha anzala minas samaaa'i maaa'an fatusbihul ardu mukhdarrah; innal laaha Lateefun Khabeer

Seest thou not how Allah sendeth down water from the sky and then the earth becometh green upon the morrow? Lo! Allah is Subtile, Aware.

تو نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ نے اتارا آسمان سے پانی پھر زمین ہو جاتی ہے سر سبز [۹۶] بیشک اللہ جانتا ہے چھپی تدبیریں خبردار ہے [۹۷]

لَّهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ

Lahoo ma fis samaawaati wa ma fil ard; wa innal laaha la Huwal Ghaniyyul Hameed

Unto Him belongeth all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. Lo! Allah, He verily is the Absolute, the Owner of Praise.

اُسی کا ہے جو کچھ ہے آسمان اور زمین میں اور اللہ وہی ہے بے پروا تعریفوں والا [۹۸]

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلْفُلْكَ تَجْرِى فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَيُمْسِكُ ٱلسَّمَآءَ أَن تَقَعَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِٱلنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Alam tara annal laaha sakhkhara lakum maa fil ardi wal fulka tajree fil bahri bi amrihee wa yumsikus samaaa'a an taqa'a 'alal ardi illaa biiznih; innal laaha binnaasi la Ra'oofur Raheem

Hast thou not seen how Allah hath made all that is in the earth subservient unto you? And the ship runneth upon the sea by His command, and He holdeth back the heaven from falling on the earth unless by His leave. Lo! Allah is, for mankind, Full of Pity, Merciful.

تو نے نہ دیکھا کہ اللہ نے بس میں کردیا تمہارے جو کچھ ہے زمین میں اور کشتی کو جو چلتی ہے دریا میں اُسکے حکم سے اور تھام رکھتا ہے آسمان کو اس سے کہ گر پڑے زمین پر مگر اُسکے حکم سے بیشک اللہ لوگوں پر نرمی کرنے والا مہربان ہے [۹۹]

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحْيَاكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَكَفُورٌۭ

Wa Huwal lazee ahyaakum summa yumeetukum summma yuheekum; innal insaana lakafoor

And He it is Who gave you life, then He will cause you to die, and then will give you life (again). Lo! man is verily an ingrate.

اور اُسی نے تمکو جلایا پھر مارتا ہے پھر زندہ کرے گا [۱۰۰] بیشک انسان ناشکر ہے [۱۰۱]

لِّكُلِّ أُمَّةٍۢ جَعَلْنَا مَنسَكًا هُمْ نَاسِكُوهُ ۖ فَلَا يُنَٰزِعُنَّكَ فِى ٱلْأَمْرِ ۚ وَٱدْعُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ هُدًۭى مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ

Likulli ummatin ja'alnaa mansakan hum naasikoohu falaa yunaazi 'unnaka fil amr; wad'u ilaa Rabbika innaka la 'alaa hudam mustaqeem

Unto each nation have We given sacred rites which they are to perform; so let them not dispute with thee of the matter, but summon thou unto thy Lord. Lo! thou indeed followest right guidance.

ہر امت کے لئے ہم نے مقرر کر دی ایک راہ بندگی کی کہ وہ اُسی طرح کرتے ہیں بندگی سو چاہئے تجھ سے جھگڑا نہ کریں اس کام میں اور تو بلائے جا اپنے رب کی طرف بیشک تو ہے سیدھی راہ پر سوجھ والا

وَإِن جَٰدَلُوكَ فَقُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ

Wa in jaadalooka faqulil laahu a'lamu bimaa ta'maloon

And if they wrangle with thee, say: Allah is Best Aware of what ye do.

اور اگر تجھ سے جھگڑنے لگیں تو تو کہہ اللہ بہتر جانتا ہے جو تم کرتے ہو

ٱللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ

Allaahu yahkumu bainakum Yawmal Qiyaamati feemaa kuntum feehi takhtalifoon

Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein ye used to differ.

اللہ فیصلہ کرے گا تم میں قیامت کے دن جس چیز میں تمہاری راہ جدا جدا تھی [۱۰۲]

أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ فِى كِتَٰبٍ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌۭ

Alam ta'lam annal laaha ya'lamu maa fis samaaa'i wal ard; inna zaalika fee kitaab; inna zaalika 'alal laahi yaseer

Hast thou not known that Allah knoweth all that is in the heaven and the earth? Lo! it is in a record. Lo! that is easy for Allah.

کیا تجھ کو معلوم نہیں کہ اللہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ ہے آسمان اور زمیں میں یہ سب لکھا ہوا ہے کتاب میں یہ اللہ پر آسان ہے [۱۰۳]

وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ سُلْطَٰنًۭا وَمَا لَيْسَ لَهُم بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ ۗ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِن نَّصِيرٍۢ

Wa ya'budoona min doonil laahi maa lam yunazzil bihee sultaananw wa maa laisa lahum bihee 'ilm; wa maa lizzaalimeena min naseer

And they worship instead of Allah that for which He hath sent down no warrant, and that whereof they have no knowledge. For evil-doers there is no helper.

اور پوجتے ہیں اللہ کے سوائے اس چیز کو جسکی سند نہیں اتاری اُس نے اور جسکی خبر نہیں اُنکو [۱۰۴] اور بے انصافوں کا کوئی نہیں مددگار [۱۰۵]

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱلْمُنكَرَ ۖ يَكَادُونَ يَسْطُونَ بِٱلَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتِنَا ۗ قُلْ أَفَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّۢ مِّن ذَٰلِكُمُ ۗ ٱلنَّارُ وَعَدَهَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۖ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

Wa izaa tutlaa 'laihim Aayaatunaa baiyinaatin ta'rifu fee wujoohil lazeena kafarul munkara yakaadoona yastoona bil lazeena yatloona 'alaihim Aayaatinaa; qul afa unab bi'ukum bisharrim min zaalikum; an Naaru wa 'adahal laahul lazeena kafaroo wa bi'sal maseer

And when Our revelations are recited unto them, thou knowest the denial in the faces of those who disbelieve; they all but attack those who recite Our revelations unto them. Say: Shall I proclaim unto you worse than that? The Fire! Allah hath promised it for those who disbelieve. A hapless journey's end!

اور جب سنائے اُنکو ہماری آیتیں صاف تو پہچانے تو منکروں کے منہ کی بری شکل نزدیک ہوتے ہیں کہ حملہ کر پڑیں اُن پر جو پڑھتے ہیں اُنکے پاس ہماری آیتیں [۱۰۶] تو کہہ میں تمکو بتلاؤں ایک چیز اس سے بدتر وہ آگ ہے اس کا وعدہ کر دیا ہے اللہ نے منکروں کو اور وہ بہت بری ہے پھر جانے کی جگہ [۱۰۷]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌۭ فَٱسْتَمِعُوا۟ لَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَن يَخْلُقُوا۟ ذُبَابًۭا وَلَوِ ٱجْتَمَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ ۖ وَإِن يَسْلُبْهُمُ ٱلذُّبَابُ شَيْـًۭٔا لَّا يَسْتَنقِذُوهُ مِنْهُ ۚ ضَعُفَ ٱلطَّالِبُ وَٱلْمَطْلُوبُ

Yaaa ayyuhan naasu duriba masalun fastami'oo lah; innal lazeena tad'oona min doonil laahi lai yakhluqoo zubaabanw wa lawijtama'oo lahoo wa iny yaslub humuz zubbabu shai'al laa yastan qizoohu minh; da'ufat taalibu walmatloob

O mankind! A similitude is coined, so pay ye heed to it: Lo! those on whom ye call beside Allah will never create a fly though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly took something from them, they could not rescue it from it. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought!

اے لوگو ایک مثل کہی ہے سو اس پر کان رکھو [۱۰۸] جنکو تم پوجتے ہو اللہ کے سوائے ہرگز نہ بنا سکیں گے ایک مکھی اگرچہ سارے جمع ہو جائیں اور اگر کچھ چھین لے اُن سے مکھی چھڑا نہ سکیں وہ اس سے بودا ہے چاہنے والا اور جنکو چاہتا ہے [۱۰۹]

مَا قَدَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَقَوِىٌّ عَزِيزٌ

Maa qadrul laaha haqqa qadrih; innal laaha la Qawiyyun 'Azeez

They measure not Allah His rightful measure. Lo! Allah is Strong, Almighty.

اللہ کی قدر نہیں سمجھے جیسی اُسکی قدر ہے بیشک اللہ زور آور ہے زبردست [۱۱۰]

ٱللَّهُ يَصْطَفِى مِنَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ رُسُلًۭا وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌۢ بَصِيرٌۭ

Allahu yastafee minal malaaa'ikati Rusulanw wa minan naas; innal laaha Samee'um Baseer

Allah chooseth from the angels messengers, and (also) from mankind. Lo! Allah is Hearer, Seer.

اللہ چھانٹ لیتا ہے فرشتوں میں پیغام پہنچانے والے اور آدمیوں میں [۱۱۱] اللہ سنتا دیکھتا ہے [۱۱۲]

يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۗ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْأُمُورُ

Ya'lamu maa baina aydeehim wa maa khalfahum; wa ilal laahi turja'ul umoor

He knoweth all that is before them and all that is behind them, and unto Allah all things are returned. $$A

جانتا ہے جو کچھ اُنکے آگے ہے اور جو کچھ اُنکے پیچھے اور اللہ تک پہنچ ہے ہر کام کی [۱۱۳]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ وَٱسْجُدُوا۟ وَٱعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ وَٱفْعَلُوا۟ ٱلْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ ۩

Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanur ka'oo wasjudoo wa'budoo Rabbakum waf'alul khaira la'allakum tuflihoon

O ye who believe! Bow down and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord, and do good, that haply ye may prosper.

اے ایمان والو رکوع کرو اور سجدہ کرو اور بندگی کرو اپنے رب کی اور بھلائی کرو تاکہ تمہارا بھلا ہو [۱۱۴]

وَجَٰهِدُوا۟ فِى ٱللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِۦ ۚ هُوَ ٱجْتَبَىٰكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍۢ ۚ مِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ۚ هُوَ سَمَّىٰكُمُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ مِن قَبْلُ وَفِى هَٰذَا لِيَكُونَ ٱلرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا۟ شُهَدَآءَ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ ۚ فَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱعْتَصِمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلَىٰكُمْ ۖ فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ ٱلنَّصِيرُ

Wa jaahidoo fil laahi haqqa jihaadih; Huwaj tabaakum wa maa ja'ala 'alaikum fid deeni min haraj; Millata abeekum Ibraaheem; Huwa sammaakumul muslimeena min qablu wa fee haaza li yakoonar Rasoolu shaheedan 'alaikum wa takoonoo shuhadaaa'a 'alan naas; fa aqeemus salaata wa aatuz zakaata wa'tasimoo billaahi Huwa mawlaakum fani'mal mawlaa wa ni'man naseer

And strive for Allah with the endeavour which is His right. He hath chosen you and hath not laid upon you in religion any hardship; the faith of your father Abraham (is yours). He hath named you Muslims of old time and in this (Scripture), that the messenger may be a witness against you, and that ye may be witnesses against mankind. So establish worship, pay the poor-due, and hold fast to Allah. He is your Protecting friend. A blessed Patron and a blessed Helper!

اور محنت کرو اللہ کے واسطے جیسی کہ چاہئے اُسکے واسطے محنت [۱۱۵] اس نے تم کو پسند کیا [۱۱۶] اور نہیں رکھی تم پر دین میں کچھ مشکل [۱۱۷] دین تمہارے باپ ابراہیم کا [۱۱۸] اُسی نے نام رکھا تمہارا مسلمان پہلے سے اور اس قرآن میں [۱۱۹] تاکہ رسول ہو بتانے والا تم پر اور تم ہو بتانے والے لوگوں پر [۱۲۰] سو قائم رکھو نماز اور دیتے رہو زکوٰۃ اور مضبوط پکڑو اللہ کو وہ تمہارا مالک ہے سو خوب مالک ہے اور خوب مددگار [۱۲۱]
