Al-Muminoon

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ قَدْ أَفْلَحَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ

Qad aflahal mu'minoon

Successful indeed are the believers

کام نکال لے گئے ایمان والے

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى صَلَاتِهِمْ خَٰشِعُونَ

Allazeena hum fee Salaatihim khaashi'oon

Who are humble in their prayers,

جو اپنی نماز میں جھکنے والے ہیں [۱]

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنِ ٱللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ

Wallazeena hum 'anillaghwimu'ridoon

And who shun vain conversation,

اور جو نکمی بات پر دھیان نہیں کرتے [۲]

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِلزَّكَوٰةِ فَٰعِلُونَ

Wallazeena hum liz Zakaati faa'iloon

And who are payers of the poor-due;

اور جو زکوٰۃ دیا کرتے ہیں [۳]

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَٰفِظُونَ

Wallazeena hum lifuroo jihim haafizoon

And who guard their modesty -

اور جو اپنی شہوت کی جگہ کو تھامتے ہیں

إِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزْوَٰجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ

Illaa 'alaaa azwaajihim aw maa malakat aimaanuhum fa innahum ghairu maloomeen

Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy,

مگر اپنی عورتوں پر یا اپنے ہاتھ کے مال باندیوں پر سو اُن پر نہیں کچھ الزام

فَمَنِ ٱبْتَغَىٰ وَرَآءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْعَادُونَ

Famanib taghaa waraaa'a zaalika fa ulaaa'ika humul 'aadoon

But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors -

پھر جو کوئی ڈھونڈے اسکےسوا سو وہی ہیں حد سے بڑھنے والے [۴]

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَٰعُونَ

Wallazeena hum li amaanaatihim wa 'ahdihim raa'oon

And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant,

اور جو اپنی امانتوں سے اور اپنے قرار سے خبردار ہیں [۵]

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَٰتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ

Wallazeena hum 'alaa Salawaatihim yuhaafizoon

And who pay heed to their prayers.

اور جو اپنی نمازوں کی خبر رکھتے ہیں [۶]

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْوَٰرِثُونَ

Ulaaa'ika humul waarisoon

These are the heirs

وہی ہیں میراث لینے والے

ٱلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ ٱلْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ

Allazeena yarisoonal Firdawsa hum feehaa khaalidoon

Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide.

جو میراث پائیں گے باغ ٹھنڈی چھاؤں کے [۷] وہ اسی میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن سُلَٰلَةٍۢ مِّن طِينٍۢ

Wa laqad khalaqnal insaana min sulaalatim minteen

Verily We created man from a product of wet earth;

اور ہم نے بنایا آدمی کو چنی ہوئی مٹی سے [۸]

ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَٰهُ نُطْفَةًۭ فِى قَرَارٍۢ مَّكِينٍۢ

Summa ja'alnaahu nutfatan fee qaraarim makeen

Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging;

پھر ہم نے رکھا اُسکو پانی کی بوند کر کے ایک جمے ہوئے ٹھکانہ میں [۹]

ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا ٱلنُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةًۭ فَخَلَقْنَا ٱلْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةًۭ فَخَلَقْنَا ٱلْمُضْغَةَ عِظَٰمًۭا فَكَسَوْنَا ٱلْعِظَٰمَ لَحْمًۭا ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَٰهُ خَلْقًا ءَاخَرَ ۚ فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ ٱلْخَٰلِقِينَ

Summa khalaqnan nutfata 'alaqatan fakhalaqnal 'alaqata mudghatan fakhalaq nal mudghata 'izaaman fakasawnal 'izaama lahman summa anshaanaahu khalqan aakhar; fatabaarakal laahu ahsanul khaaliqeen

Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators!

پھر بنایا اس بوند سے لہو جما ہوا پھر بنائی اس لہو جمے ہوئے سے گوشت کی بوٹی پھر بنائیں اُس بوٹی سےہڈیاں پھر پہنایا ہڈیوں پر گوشت [۱۰] پھر اٹھا کھڑا کیا اسکو ایک نئی صورت میں [۱۱] سو بڑی برکت اللہ کی جو سب سے بہتر بنانے والا ہے [۱۲]

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُونَ

Summa innakum ba'da zaalika la maaiyitoon

Then lo! after that ye surely die.

پھر تم اسکے بعد مرو گے [۱۳]

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ تُبْعَثُونَ

Summa innakum Yawmal Qiyaamati tub'asoon

Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again).

پھر تم قیامت کے دن کھڑے کئےجاؤ گے [۱۴]

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَآئِقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ ٱلْخَلْقِ غَٰفِلِينَ

Wa laqad khalaqnaa fawqakum sab'a taraaa'iqa wa maa kunnaa 'anil khalqi ghaafileen

And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation.

اور ہم نے بنائے ہیں تمہارے اوپر سات رستے [۱۵] اور ہم نہیں ہیں خلق سے بے خبر [۱۶]

وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۢ بِقَدَرٍۢ فَأَسْكَنَّٰهُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ ذَهَابٍۭ بِهِۦ لَقَٰدِرُونَ

Wa anzalnaa minas samaaa'i maaa'am biqadarin fa-askannaahu fil ardi wa innaa 'alaa zahaabim bihee laqaa diroon

And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it.

اور اتارا ہم نے آسمان سے پانی ماپ کر [۱۷] پھر اُسکو ٹھہرا دیا زمین میں [۱۸] اور ہم اُسکو لیجائیں تو لیجا سکتے ہیں [۱۹]

فَأَنشَأْنَا لَكُم بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتٍۢ مِّن نَّخِيلٍۢ وَأَعْنَٰبٍۢ لَّكُمْ فِيهَا فَوَٰكِهُ كَثِيرَةٌۭ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ

Fa anshaanaa lakum bihee Jannaatim min nakheelinw wa a'naab; lakum feehaa fawaakihu kaseeratunw wa minhaa taakuloon

Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat;

پھر اگا دیے تمہارے واسطے اُس سے باغ کھجور اور انگور کے تمہارے واسطے ان میں میوے ہیں بہت اور اُنہی میں سے کھاتے ہو [۲۰]

وَشَجَرَةًۭ تَخْرُجُ مِن طُورِ سَيْنَآءَ تَنۢبُتُ بِٱلدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍۢ لِّلْءَاكِلِينَ

Wa shajaratan takhruju min Toori Sainaaa'a tambutu bidduhni wa sibghil lil aakileen

And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters.

اور وہ درخت جو نکلتا ہے سینا پہاڑ سے لے اگتا ہے تیل اور روٹی ڈبونا کھانے والوں کے واسطے [۲۱]

وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ لَعِبْرَةًۭ ۖ نُّسْقِيكُم مِّمَّا فِى بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ كَثِيرَةٌۭ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ

Wa inna lakum fil an'aami la'ibrah; nusqeekum mimmaa fee butoonihaa wa lakum feehaa manaafi'u kaseeratunw wa minhaa taakuloon

And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat;

اور تمہارے چوپایوں میں دھیان کرنے کی بات ہے پلاتے ہیں ہم تمکو اُنکے پیٹ کی چیز سے اور تمہارے لئے اُن میں بہت فائدے ہیں اور بعضوں کو کھاتے ہو [۲۲]

وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ

Wa 'alaihaa wa'alal fulki tuhmaloon

And on them and on the ship ye are carried.

اور اُن پر اور کشتیوں پر لدے پھرتے ہو [۲۳]

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ فَقَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥٓ ۖ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

Wa laqad arsalnaa Noohan ilaa qawmihee faqaala yaa qawmi'budul laaha maa lakum min ilahin ghairuhoo afalaa tattaqoon

And We verily sent Noah unto his folk, and he said: O my people! Serve Allah. Ye have no other Allah save Him. Will ye not ward off (evil)?

اور ہم نے بھیجا نوح کو اُسکی قوم کے پاس تو اُس نے کہا اے قوم بندگی کرو اللہ کی تمہارا کوئی حاکم نہیں اُسکے سوائے کیا تم ڈرتے نہیں

فَقَالَ ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَوْمِهِۦ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُرِيدُ أَن يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَأَنزَلَ مَلَٰٓئِكَةًۭ مَّا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِىٓ ءَابَآئِنَا ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Faqaalal mala'ul lazeena kafaroo min qawmihee maa haazaaa illaa basharum mislukum yureedu ai yatafaddala 'alaikum wa law shaaa'al laahu la anzala malaaa'ikatam maa sami'naa bihaazaa feee aabaaa'inal awwaleen

But the chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved, said: This is only a mortal like you who would make himself superior to you. Had Allah willed, He surely could have sent down angels. We heard not of this in the case of our fathers of old.

تب بولے سردار جو کافر تھے اُسکی قوم میں یہ کیا ہے آدمی ہے جیسے تم [۲۴] چاہتا ہے کہ بڑائی کرے تم پر اور اگر اللہ چاہتا تو اتارتا فرشتے [۲۵] ہم نے یہ نہیں سنا اپنے اگلے باپ دادوں میں [۲۶]

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌۢ بِهِۦ جِنَّةٌۭ فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ

In huwa illaa rajulum bihee jinnatun fatarabbasoo bihee hattan heen

He is only a man in whom is a madness, so watch him for a while.

اور کچھ نہیں یہ ایک مرد ہے کہ اسکو سودا ہے سو راہ دیکھو اسکی ایک وقت تک [۲۷]

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱنصُرْنِى بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ

Qaala Rabbin surnee bimaa kazzaboon

He said: My Lord! Help me because they deny me.

بولا اے رب تو مدد کر میری کہ انہوں نے مجھ کو جھٹلایا [۲۸]

فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْهِ أَنِ ٱصْنَعِ ٱلْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ ٱلتَّنُّورُ ۙ فَٱسْلُكْ فِيهَا مِن كُلٍّۢ زَوْجَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تُخَٰطِبْنِى فِى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ ۖ إِنَّهُم مُّغْرَقُونَ

Fa awhainaaa ilaihi anis na'il fulka bi a'yuninaa wa wahyinaa fa izaa jaaa'a amrunaa wa faarat tannooru fasluk feehaa min kullin zawjainis naini wa ahlaka illaa man sabaqa 'alaihil qawlu minhum wa laa tukhaat ibnee fil lazeena zalamooo innaahum mughraqoon

Then We inspired in him, saying: Make the ship under Our eyes and Our inspiration. Then, when Our command cometh and the oven gusheth water, introduce therein of every (kind) two spouses, and thy household save him thereof against whom the Word hath already gone forth. And plead not with Me on behalf of those who have done wrong. Lo! they will be drowned.

پھر ہم نے حکم بھیجا اُسکو کہ بنا کشتی ہماری آنکھوں کے سامنے اور ہمارے حکم سے پھر جب پہنچے ہمارا حکم اور ابلے تنور تو تو ڈال لے کشتی میں ہر چیز کا جوڑا دو دو اور اپنے گھر کے لوگ [۲۹] مگر جسکی قسمت میں پہلے سے ٹھہر چکی ہے بات [۳۰] اور مجھ سے بات نہ کر ان ظالموں کے واسطے بیشک اُنکو ڈوبنا ہے [۳۱]

فَإِذَا ٱسْتَوَيْتَ أَنتَ وَمَن مَّعَكَ عَلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى نَجَّىٰنَا مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Fa izas tawaita ata wa mam ma'aka 'alal fulki faqulil hamdu lillaahil lazee najjaanaa minal qawmiz zalimeen

And when thou art on board the ship, thou and whoso is with thee, then say: Praise be to Allah Who hath saved us from the wrongdoing folk!

پھر جب چڑھ چکے تو اور جو تیرے ساتھ ہے کشی پر تو کہہ شکر اللہ کا جس نے چھڑایا ہمکو گنہگار لوگوں سے [۳۲]

وَقُل رَّبِّ أَنزِلْنِى مُنزَلًۭا مُّبَارَكًۭا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْمُنزِلِينَ

Wa qur Rabbi anzilnee munzalam mubaarakanw wa Anta khairul munzileen

And say: My Lord! Cause me to land at a blessed landing-place, for Thou art Best of all who bring to land.

اور کہہ اے رب اتار مجھ کو برکت کا اتارنا اور تو ہے بہتر اتارنے والا [۳۳]

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ وَإِن كُنَّا لَمُبْتَلِينَ

Inna fee zaalika la Aayaatinw wa in kunnaa lamubtaleen

Lo! herein verily are portents, for lo! We are ever putting (mankind) to the test.

اس میں نشانیاں ہیں اور ہم ہیں جانچنے والے [۳۴]

ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا ءَاخَرِينَ

Summaa anshaana mim ba'dihim qarnan aakhareen

Then, after them, We brought forth another generation;

پھر پیدا کی ہم نے اُن سے پیچھے ایک جماعت اور [۳۵]

فَأَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ رَسُولًۭا مِّنْهُمْ أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥٓ ۖ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

Fa arsalnaa feehim Rasoolam minhum ani'budul laaha maa lakum min ilaahin ghairuhoo afalaa tattaqoon

And we sent among them a messenger of their own, saying: Serve Allah, Ye have no other Allah save Him. Will ye not ward off (evil)?

پھر بھیجا ہم نے اُن میں ایک رسول اُن میں کا [۳۶] کہ بندگی کرو اللہ کی کوئی نہیں تمہارا حاکم اُسکے سوائے پھر کیا تم ڈرتے نہیں

وَقَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ مِن قَوْمِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِلِقَآءِ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَأَتْرَفْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُكُمْ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُونَ

Wa qaalal mala-u min qawmihil lazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi liqaaa'il Aakhirati wa atrafnaahum fil hayaatid dunyaa maa haazaaa illaa basharum mislukum yaakulu mimmaa taakuloona minhu wa yashrabu mimmaa tashraboon

And the chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter, and whom We had made soft in the life of the world, said: This is only a mortal like you, who eateth of that whereof ye eat and drinketh of that ye drink.

اور بولے سردار اُسکی قوم کے جو کافر تھے اور جھٹلاتے تھے آخرت کی ملاقات کو اور آرام دیا تھا اُنکو ہم نے دنیا کی زندگی میں [۳۷] اور کچھ نہیں یہ ایک آدمی ہے جیسے تم، کھاتا ہے جس قسم سے تم کھاتے ہو اور پیتا ہے جس قسم سے تم پیتے ہو [۳۸]

وَلَئِنْ أَطَعْتُم بَشَرًۭا مِّثْلَكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًۭا لَّخَٰسِرُونَ

Wa la'in at'atum basharam mislakum innakum izal lakhaasiroon

If ye were to obey a mortal like yourselves, then, lo! ye surely would be losers.

اور کہیں تم چلنے لگے کہنے پر ایک آدمی کے اپنے برابر کے تو تم بیشک خراب ہوئے [۳۹]

أَيَعِدُكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ إِذَا مِتُّمْ وَكُنتُمْ تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَنَّكُم مُّخْرَجُونَ

A-Ya'idukum annakum izaa mittum wa kuntum turaabanw wa izaaman annakum mukhrajoon

Doth he promise you that you, when ye are dead and have become dust and bones, will (again) be brought forth?

کیا تم کو وعدہ دیتا ہے کہ جب تم مر جاؤ اور ہو جاؤ مٹی اور ہڈیاں تو تمکو نکلنا ہے

۞ هَيْهَاتَ هَيْهَاتَ لِمَا تُوعَدُونَ

Haihaata haihaata limaa too'adoon

Begone, begone, with that which ye are promised!

کہاں ہو سکتا ہے کہاں ہوسکتا ہے جو تم سے وعدہ ہوتا ہے [۴۰]

إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا ٱلدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ

In hiya illaa hayaatunad dunyaa namootu wa nahyaa wa maa nahnu bimab'ooseen

There is naught but our life of the world; we die and we live, and we shall not be raised (again).

اور کچھ نہیں یہی جینا ہے ہمارا دنیا کا مرتے ہیں اور جیتے ہیں اور ہمکو پھر اٹھنا نہیں [۴۱]

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًۭا وَمَا نَحْنُ لَهُۥ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ

In huwa illaa rajulunif taraa 'alal laahi kazibanw wa maa nahnuu lahoo bimu'mineen

He is only a man who hath invented a lie about Allah. We are not going to put faith in him.

اور کچھ نہیں یہ ایک مرد ہے باندھ لایا ہے اللہ پر جھوٹ [۴۲] اور اُسکو ہم نہیں ماننے والے

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱنصُرْنِى بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ

Qaala Rabbin surnee bimaa kazzaboon

He said: My Lord! Help me because they deny me.

بولا اے رب میری مدد کر کہ انہوں نے مجھ کو جھٹلایا [۴۳]

قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِيلٍۢ لَّيُصْبِحُنَّ نَٰدِمِينَ

Qaala 'ammaa qaleelil la yusbihunna naadimeen

He said: In a little while they surely will become repentant.

فرمایا اب تھوڑے دنوں میں صبح کو رہ جائیں گے پچتاتے [۴۴]

فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ بِٱلْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ غُثَآءًۭ ۚ فَبُعْدًۭا لِّلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Fa akhazat humus saihatu bilhaqqi faja'alnaahum ghusaaa'aa; fabu;dal lilqaw miz zaalimeen

So the (Awful) Cry overtook them rightfully, and We made them like as wreckage (that a torrent hurleth). A far removal for wrongdoing folk!

پھر پکڑا اُنکو چنگھاڑ نے تحقیق [۴۵] پھر کر دیا ہم نے اُنکو کوڑا [۴۶] سو دور ہو جائیں گنہگار لوگ [۴۷]

ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُونًا ءَاخَرِينَ

Summa anshaanaa mim ba'dihim quroonan aakhareen

Then after them We brought forth other generations.

پھر پیدا کیں ہم نے اُن سے پیچھے جماعتیں اور

مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ

Maa tasbiqu min ummatin ajalahaa wa maa yastaakhiroon

No nation can outstrip its term, nor yet postpone it.

نہ آگے جائے کوئی قوم اپنے وعدہ سے اور نہ پیچھے رہے [۴۸]

ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَا ۖ كُلَّ مَا جَآءَ أُمَّةًۭ رَّسُولُهَا كَذَّبُوهُ ۚ فَأَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُم بَعْضًۭا وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ ۚ فَبُعْدًۭا لِّقَوْمٍۢ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Summa arsalnaa Rusulanaa tatraa kulla maa jaaa'a ummatar Rasooluhaa kazzabooh; fa atba'naa ba'dahum ba'danw wa ja'alnaahum ahaadees; fabu'dal liqawmil laa yu'minoon

Then We sent our messengers one after another. Whenever its messenger came unto a nation they denied him; so We caused them to follow one another (to disaster) and We made them bywords. A far removal for folk who believe not!

پھر بھیجتے رہے ہم اپنے رسول لگاتار جہاں پہنچا کسی امت کے پاس اُن کا رسول اُسکو جھٹلا دیا پھر چلاتے گئے ہیں ہم ایک کے پیچھے دوسرے اور کر ڈالا اُنکو کہانیاں [۴۹] سو دو ہو جائیں جو لوگ نہیں مانتے [۵۰]

ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَأَخَاهُ هَٰرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍ

Summa arsalnaa Moosaa wa akhaahu Haaroona bi Aayaatinaa wa sultaanim mubeen

Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our tokens and a clear warrant

پھر بھیجا ہم نے موسٰی اور اُسکے بھائی ہارون کو اپنی نشانیاں دیکر اور کھلی سند

إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا عَالِينَ

Ilaa Fir'awna wa mala'ihee fastakbaroo wa kaanoo qawman 'aaleem

Unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they scorned (them) and they were despotic folk.

فرعون اور اُسکے سرداروں کے پاس پھر لگے بڑائی کرنے اور وہ لوگ زور پر چڑھ رہے تھے [۵۱]

فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عَٰبِدُونَ

Faqaaloo annu'minu libasharaini mislinaa wa qawmuhumaa lanaa 'aabidoon

And they said: Shall we put faith in two mortals like ourselves, and whose folk are servile unto us?

سو بولے کیا ہم مانیں گے اپنی برابر کے دو آدمیوں کو اور اُنکی قوم ہمارے تابعدار ہیں [۵۲]

فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَكَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُهْلَكِينَ

Fakazzaboohumaa fakaanoo minal mmuhlakeen

So they denied them, and became of those who were destroyed.

پھر جھٹلایا اُن دونوں کو پھر ہو گئے غارت ہونے والوں میں

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ

Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba la'allahum yahtadoon

And We verily gave Moses the Scripture, that haply they might go aright.

اور ہم نے دی موسٰی کو کتاب تاکہ وہ راہ پائیں [۵۳]

وَجَعَلْنَا ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُۥٓ ءَايَةًۭ وَءَاوَيْنَٰهُمَآ إِلَىٰ رَبْوَةٍۢ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍۢ وَمَعِينٍۢ

Wa ja'alnab na Maryama wa ummahooo aayatannw wa aawainaahumaaa ilaa rabwatin zaati qaraarinw wa ma'een

And We made the son of Mary and his mother a portent, and We gave them refuge on a height, a place of flocks and watersprings.

اور بنایا ہم نے مریم کے بیٹے اور اُسکی ماں کو ایک نشانی [۵۴] اور اُنکو ٹھکانا دیا ایک ٹیلہ پر جہاں ٹھہرنے کا موقع تھا اور پانی نتھرا [۵۵]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرُّسُلُ كُلُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ وَٱعْمَلُوا۟ صَٰلِحًا ۖ إِنِّى بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌۭ

Yaaa aiyuhar Rusulu kuloo minat taiyibaati wa'maloo saalihan innee bimaa ta'maloona 'Aleem

O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do.

اے رسولو کھاؤ ستھری چیزیں اور کام کرو بھلا [۵۶] جو تم کرتے ہو میں جانتا ہوں [۵۷]

وَإِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ وَأَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمْ فَٱتَّقُونِ

Wa inna haaziheee ummatukum ummatanw waahidatanw wa Ana Rabbukum fattaqoon

And lo! this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, so keep your duty unto Me.

اور یہ لوگ ہیں تمہارے دین کے سب ایک دین پر اور میں ہوں تمہارا رب سو مجھ سے ڈرتے رہو

فَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًۭا ۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍۭ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ

Fataqatta'ooo amrahum bainahum zuburaa; kullu hizbim bimaa ladaihim farihoon

But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets.

پھر پھوٹ ڈال کر کر لیا اپنا کام آپس میں ٹکڑے ٹکڑے [۵۸] ہرفرقہ جو اُنکے پاس ہے اُس پر ریجھ رہے ہیں [۵۹]

فَذَرْهُمْ فِى غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ

Fazarhum fee ghamratihim hattaa heen

So leave them in their error till a time.

سو چھوڑ دے تو اُنکو اُنکی بیہوشی میں ڈوبے ایک وقت تک [۶۰]

أَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّمَا نُمِدُّهُم بِهِۦ مِن مَّالٍۢ وَبَنِينَ

A-yahsaboona annnamaa numiduhum bihee mimmaalinw wa baneen

Think they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We provide them

کیا وہ خیال کرتےہیں کہ یہ جو ہم اُنکو دیے جاتے ہیں مال اور اولاد

نُسَارِعُ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ ۚ بَل لَّا يَشْعُرُونَ

Nusaari'u lahum fil khairaat; bal laa yash'uroon

We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not.

سو دوڑ دوڑ کر پہنچا رہے ہیں ہم اُنکو بھلائیاں [۶۱] یہ بات نہیں وہ سمجھتے نہیں [۶۲]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ هُم مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ رَبِّهِم مُّشْفِقُونَ

Innal lazeena hum min khashyati Rabbihim mushfiqoon

Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord.

البتہ جو لوگ اپنے رب کے خوف سے اندیشہ رکھتے ہیں [۶۳]

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Wallazeena hum bi Aayaati Rabbihim yu'minoon

And those who believe in the revelations of their Lord,

اور جو لوگ اپنے رب کی باتوں پر یقین کرتے ہیں [۶۴]

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِرَبِّهِمْ لَا يُشْرِكُونَ

Wallazeena hum bi Rabbihim laa yushrikoon

And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord,

اور جو لوگ اپنے رب کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہیں مانتے [۶۵]

وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَآ ءَاتَوا۟ وَّقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ رَٰجِعُونَ

Wallazeena yu'toona maaa aataw wa quloobuhum wajilatun annahum ilaa Rabbihim raaji'oon

And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord,

اور جو لوگ کہ دیتے ہیں جو کچھ دیتے ہیں وہ اور اُنکے دل ڈر رہے ہیں اس لئے کہ انکو اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹ کر جانا ہے [۶۶]

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سَٰبِقُونَ

Ulaaa'ika yusaari'oona fil khairaati wa hum lahaa saabiqoon

These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race.

وہ لوگ دوڑ دوڑ کر لیتے ہیں بھلائیاں اور وہ ان پر پہنچے سب سے آگے [۶۷]

وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۖ وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَٰبٌۭ يَنطِقُ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ

Wa laa nukallifu nafsan illaa wus'ahaa wa ladainaa kitaabuny yantiqu bilhaqqi w ahum la yuzlamoon

And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged.

اور ہم کسی پر بوجھ نہیں ڈالتے مگر اسکی گنجائش کے موافق اور ہمارے پاس لکھا ہوا ہے جو بولتا ہے سچ اور ان پر ظلم نہ ہو گا [۶۸]

بَلْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍۢ مِّنْ هَٰذَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْمَٰلٌۭ مِّن دُونِ ذَٰلِكَ هُمْ لَهَا عَٰمِلُونَ

Bal quloobuhum fee ghamratim min haazaa wa lahum a'maalum min dooni zaalika hum lahaa 'aamiloon

Nay, but their hearts are in ignorance of this (Qur'an), and they have other works, besides, which they are doing;

کوئی نہیں انکے دل بیہوش ہیں اس طرف اور انکو اور کام لگ رہے ہیں اسکے سوائے کہ وہ انکو کر رہے ہیں [۶۹]

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِيهِم بِٱلْعَذَابِ إِذَا هُمْ يَجْـَٔرُونَ

Hattaaa izaaa akhznaa mutrafeehim bil'azaabi izaa hum yaj'aroon

Till when We grasp their luxurious ones with the punishment, behold! they supplicate.

یہاں تک کہ جب پکڑیں گے ہم اُنکے آسودہ لوگوں کو آفت میں تبھی وہ لگیں گے چلانے

لَا تَجْـَٔرُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ ۖ إِنَّكُم مِّنَّا لَا تُنصَرُونَ

Laa taj'arul yawma innakum minnaa laa tunsaroon

Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us.

مت چلاؤ آج کے دن تم ہم سے چھوٹ نہ سکو گے [۷۰]

قَدْ كَانَتْ ءَايَٰتِى تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنتُمْ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْقَٰبِكُمْ تَنكِصُونَ

Qad kaanat Aayaatee tutlaa 'alaikum fakuntum 'alaaa a'qaabikum tankisoon

My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels,

تم کو سنائی جاتی تھیں میری آیتیں تو تم ایڑیوں پر الٹے بھاگتے تھے۔

مُسْتَكْبِرِينَ بِهِۦ سَٰمِرًۭا تَهْجُرُونَ

Mustakbireena bihee saamiran tahjuroon

In scorn thereof. Nightly did ye rave together.

اس سے تکبر کر کے [۷۱] ایک قصہ گو کو چھوڑ کر چلے گئے [۷۲]

أَفَلَمْ يَدَّبَّرُوا۟ ٱلْقَوْلَ أَمْ جَآءَهُم مَّا لَمْ يَأْتِ ءَابَآءَهُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Afalam yaddabbarrul qawla am jaaa'ahum maa lam yaati aabaaa'ahumul awwaleen

Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old?

سو کیا انہوں نے دھیان نہیں کیا اس کلام میں [۷۳] یا آئی ہے ان کے پاس ایسی چیز جو نہ تھی ان کے پہلے باپ دادوں کے پاس [۷۴]

أَمْ لَمْ يَعْرِفُوا۟ رَسُولَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَهُۥ مُنكِرُونَ

Am lam ya'rifoo Rasoolahum fahum lahoo munkiroon

Or know they not their messenger, and so reject him?

یا پہچانا نہیں انہوں نے اپنے پیغام لانے والوں کو سو وہ اس کو اوپرا سمجھتے ہیں [۷۵]

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ بِهِۦ جِنَّةٌۢ ۚ بَلْ جَآءَهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَٰرِهُونَ

Am yaqooloona bihee jinnnah; bal jaaa'ahum bilhaqqi wa aksaruhum lil haqqi kaarihoon

Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth.

یا کہتے ہیں ان کو سودا ہے کوئی نہیں وہ تو لایا ہے ان کے پاس سچی باتے اور ان بہتوں کو سچی بات بری لگتی ہے [۷۶]

وَلَوِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلْحَقُّ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ ۚ بَلْ أَتَيْنَٰهُم بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَن ذِكْرِهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ

Wa lawit taba'al haqqu ahwaaa'ahum lafasadatis samaawaatu wal ardu wa man feehinnn; bal atainaahum bizikrihim fahum 'an zikrihim mu'ridon

And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away.

اور اگر سچا رب چلے ان کی خوشی پر تو خراب ہو جائیں آسمان اور زمین اور جو کوئی ان میں ہے [۷۷] کوئی نہیں ہم

أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ خَرْجًۭا فَخَرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌۭ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ

Am tas'aluhum kharjan fakharaaju Rabbika khairunw wa Huwa khairur raaziqeen

Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision.

یا تو ان سے مانگتا ہے کچھ محصول سو محصول تیرے رب کا بہتر ہے اور وہ ہے بہتر روزی دینے والا [۸۰]

وَإِنَّكَ لَتَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ

Wa innaka latad'oohum ilaa Siraatim Mustaqeem

And lo! thou summonest them indeed unto a straight path.

اور تو تو بلاتا ہے ان کو سیدھی راہ پر

وَإِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ عَنِ ٱلصِّرَٰطِ لَنَٰكِبُونَ

Wa innnal lazeena laa yu'minoona bil Aakhirati 'anis siraati lanaakiboon

And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path.

اور جو لوگ نہیں مانتے آخرت کو راہ سے ٹیڑھے ہو گئے ہیں [۸۱]

۞ وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَٰهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِم مِّن ضُرٍّۢ لَّلَجُّوا۟ فِى طُغْيَٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

Wa law rahimnaahum wa kashafnaa maa bihim min durril lalajjoo fee tughyaanihim ya'mahoon

Though We had mercy on them and relieved them of the harm afflicting them, they still would wander blindly on in their contumacy.

اور اگر ہم ان پر رحم کریں اور کھول دیں جو تکلیف پہنچی ان کو تو بھی برابر لگے رہیں گے اپنی شرارت میں بہکےہوئے [۸۲]

وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَٰهُم بِٱلْعَذَابِ فَمَا ٱسْتَكَانُوا۟ لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ

Wa laqad akhaznaahum bil'azaabi famastakaanoo li Rabbihim wa maa yatadarra'oon

Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray,

اور ہم نے پکڑا تھا ان کو آفت میں پھر نہ عاجزی کی اپنے رب کے آگے اور نہ گڑگڑائے [۸۳]

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًۭا ذَا عَذَابٍۢ شَدِيدٍ إِذَا هُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ

Hattaaa izaa fatahnaa 'alaihim baaban zaa 'azaabin shadeedin izaa hum feehi mublisoon

Until, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat.

یہاں تک کہ جب کھول دیں ہم ان پر دروازہ ایک سخت آفت کا تب اس میں ان کی آس ٹوٹے گی [۸۴]

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ

Wa Huwal lazeee ansha a-lakumus sam'a wal absaara wal af'idah; qaleelam maa tashkuroon

He it is Who hath created for you ears and eyes and hearts. Small thanks give ye!

اور اسی نے بنا دئے تمہارےکان اور آنکھیں اور دل تم بہت تھوڑا حق مانتے ہو [۸۵]

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى ذَرَأَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ

Wa Huwal lazee zara akum fil ardi wa ilaihi tuhsharoon

And He it is Who hath sown you broadcast in the earth, and unto Him ye will be gathered.

اور اسی نے تم کو پھیلا رکھا ہے زمین میں اور اسی کی طرف جمع ہو کر جاؤ گے [۸۶]

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ ٱخْتِلَٰفُ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

Wa Huwal lazee yuhyee wa yumeetu wa lahukh tilaaful laili wannahaar; afalaa ta'qiloon

And He it is Who giveth life and causeth death, and His is the difference of night and day. Have ye then no sense?

اور وہی ہے جلاتا اور مارتا اور اسی کا کام ہے بدلنا رات اور دن کا سو کیا تم کو سمجھ نہیں [۸۷]

بَلْ قَالُوا۟ مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ

Bal qaaloo misla maa qaalal awwaloon

Nay, but they say the like of that which said the men of old;

کوئی بات نہیں یہ تو وہی کہہ رہے ہیں جیسا کہا کرتے تھے پہلے لوگ

قَالُوٓا۟ أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

Qaalooo 'a-izaa mitnaa wa kunnaa turaabanw wa 'izaaman 'a-innaa lamab 'oosoon

They say: When we are dead and have become (mere) dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again?

کہتے ہیں کیا جب ہم مر گئے اور ہو گئے مٹی اور ہڈیاں کیا ہم کو زندہ ہو کر اٹھنا ہے

لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَءَابَآؤُنَا هَٰذَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Laqad wu'idnaa nahnu wa aabaaa'unaa haazaa min qablu in haazaaa illaaa asaateerul awwaleen

We were already promised this, we and our forefathers. Lo! this is naught but fables of the men of old.

وعدہ دیا جاتا ہے ہم کو اور ہمارے باپ دادوں کو یہی پہلے سے اور کچھ بھی نہیں یہ نقلیں ہیں پہلوں کی [۸۸]

قُل لِّمَنِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

Qul limanil ardu wa man feehaaa in kuntum ta'lamoon

Say: Unto Whom (belongeth) the earth and whosoever is therein, if ye have knowledge?

تو کہہ کس کی ہے زمین اور جو کوئی اس میں ہے بتاؤ اگر تم جانتے ہو

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

Sa-yaqooloona lillaah; qul afalaa tazakkkaroon

They will say: Unto Allah. Say: Will ye not then remember?

اب کہیں گے سب کچھ اللہ کا ہے تو کہہ پھر تم سوچتے نہیں [۸۹]

قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ ٱلسَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

Qul mar Rabbus samaawaatis sab'i wa Rabbul 'Arshil 'Azeem

Say: Who is Lord of the seven heavens, and Lord of the Tremendous Throne?

تو کہہ کون ہے مالک ساتوں آسمان کا اور مالک اس بڑے تخت کا

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

Sa yaqooloona lillaah; qul afalaa tattaqoon

They will say: Unto Allah (all that belongeth). Say: Will ye not then keep duty (unto Him)?

اب بتائیں گے اللہ کو تو کہہ پھر تم ڈرتے نہیں [۹۰]

قُلْ مَنۢ بِيَدِهِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَهُوَ يُجِيرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

Qul mam bi yadihee malakootu kulli shai'inw wa Huwa yujeeru wa laa yujaaru 'alaihi in kuntum ta'lamoon

Say: In Whose hand is the dominion over all things and He protecteth, while against Him there is no protection, if ye have knowledge?

تو کہہ کس کے ہاتھ میں ہے حکومت ہر چیز کی اور وہ بچا لیتا ہے اور اس سے کوئی بچا نہیں سکتا بتاؤ اگر تم جانتے ہو

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ فَأَنَّىٰ تُسْحَرُونَ

Sa yaqooloona lillaah; qul fa annaa tus haroon

They will say: Unto Allah (all that belongeth). Say: How then are ye bewitched?

اب بتائیں گے اللہ کو [۹۱] تو کہہ پھر کہاں سے تم پر جادو آ پڑتا ہے [۹۲]

بَلْ أَتَيْنَٰهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ

Bal atainaahum bil haqqi wa innahum lakaaziboon

Nay, but We have brought them the Truth, and lo! they are liars.

کوئی نہیں ہم نے ان کو پہنچایا سچ اور وہ البتہ جھوٹے ہیں [۹۳]

مَا ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِن وَلَدٍۢ وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُۥ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ ۚ إِذًۭا لَّذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَٰهٍۭ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

Mat takhazal laahu minw waladinw wa maa kaana ma'ahoo min ilaah; izal lazahaba kullu ilaahim bimaa khalaqa wa la'alaa ba'duhum 'alaa ba'd; Subhaannal laahi 'ammaa yasifoon

Allah hath not chosen any son, nor is there any god along with Him; else would each god have assuredly championed that which he created, and some of them would assuredly have overcome others. Glorified be Allah above all that they allege.

اللہ نے کوئی بیٹا نہیں کیا اور نہ اس کے ساتھ کسی کا حکم چلے یوں ہوتا تو لیجاتا ہر حکم والا اپنی بنائی چیز کو اور چڑھائی کرتا ایک پر ایک [۹۴] اللہ نرالا (پاک) ہے ان کی بتلائی باتوں سے [۹۵]

عَٰلِمِ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ فَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

'Aalimil Ghaibi wash shahhaadati fata'aalaa 'ammaa yushrikoon

Knower of the Invisible and the Visible! and Exalted be He over all that they ascribe as partners (unto Him)!

جاننے والا چھپے اور کھلے کا وہ بہت اوپر ہے اس سے جسکو یہ شریک بتلاتے ہیں [۹۶]

قُل رَّبِّ إِمَّا تُرِيَنِّى مَا يُوعَدُونَ

Qur Rabbi immmaa turiyannee maa yoo'adoon

Say: My Lord! If Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised.

تو کہہ اے رب اگر تو دکھانے لگے مجھ کو جو ان سے وعدہ ہوا ہے

رَبِّ فَلَا تَجْعَلْنِى فِى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Rabbi falaa taj'alnee fil qawmiz zaalimeen

My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk.

تو اے رب مجھ کو نہ کریو ان گنہگار لوگوں میں [۹۷]

وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّرِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمْ لَقَٰدِرُونَ

Wa innaa 'alaaa an nuriyaka maa na'iduhum laqaadiroon

And verily We are Able to show thee that which We have promised them.

اور ہم کو قدرت ہے کہ تجھ کو دکھلا دیں جو ان سےوعدہ کر دیا ہے

ٱدْفَعْ بِٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ ٱلسَّيِّئَةَ ۚ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُونَ

Idfa' billate hiya ahsanus saiyi'ah; nahnu a'lamu bimaa yasifoon

Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege.

بری بات کے جواب میں وہ کہہ جو بہتر ہے ہم خوب جانتے ہیں جو یہ بتاتے ہیں [۹۸]

وَقُل رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَٰتِ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ

Wa qur Rabbi a'oozu bika min hamazaatish Shayaateen

And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones,

اور کہہ اے رب میں تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں شیطان کی چھیڑ سے [۹۹]

وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحْضُرُونِ

Wa a'oozu bika Rabbi ai-yahduroon

And I seek refuge in Thee, my Lord, lest they be present with me,

اور پناہ تیری چاہتا ہوں اے رب اس سے کہ میرے پاس آئیں [۱۰۰]

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ أَحَدَهُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ٱرْجِعُونِ

Hattaaa izaa jaaa'a ahada humul mawtu qaala Rabbir ji'oon

Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back,

یہاں تک کہ جب پہنچے ان میں کسی کو موت کہے گا اے رب مجھ کو پھر بھیجدو

لَعَلِّىٓ أَعْمَلُ صَٰلِحًۭا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ ۚ كَلَّآ ۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَآئِلُهَا ۖ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِم بَرْزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ

La'alleee a'malu saalihan feemaa taraktu kallaa; innahaa kalimatun huwa qaaa'iluhaa wa minw waraaa'him barzakhun ilaa Yawmi yub'asoon

That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised.

شاید کچھ میں بھلا کام کر لوں اس میں جو پیچھے چھوڑ آیا [۱۰۱] ہر گز نہیں یہ ایک بات ہے کہ وہی کہتا ہے [۱۰۲] اور ان کے پیچھے پردہ ہے اس دن تک کہ اٹھائے جائیں [۱۰۳]

فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَلَآ أَنسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَلَا يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

Fa izaa nufikha fis Soori falaaa ansaaba bainahum yawma'izinw wa laa yatasaaa'aloon

And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another.

پھر جب پھونک ماریں صور میں تو نہ قرابتیں ہیں ان میں اس دن اور نہ ایک دوسرے کو پوچھے [۱۰۴]

فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ

Faman saqulat mawaazee nuhoo fa ulaaa'ika humul muflihoon

Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful.

سو جسکی بھاری ہوئی تول تو وہی لوگ کام لے نکلے

وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فِى جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدُونَ

Wa man khaffat mawaa zeenuhoo fa ulaaa'ikal lazeena khasiroon anfusahum fee Jahannnama khaalidoon

And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding.

اور جس کی ہلکی نکلی تول سو وہی لوگ ہیں جو ہار بیٹھے اپنی جان دوزخ ہی میں رہا کریں گے

تَلْفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَٰلِحُونَ

Talfahu wujoohahumun Naaru wa hum feehaa kaalihood

The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein.

جھلس دے گی انکے منہ کو آگ اور وہ اس میں بد شکل ہو رہے ہوں گے [۱۰۵]

أَلَمْ تَكُنْ ءَايَٰتِى تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ

Alam takun Aayaatee tutlaa 'alaikum fakuntum bihaa tukazziboon

(It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them?

کیا تم کو سنائی نہ تھیں ہماری آیتیں پھر تم ان کو جھٹلاتے تھے [۱۰۶]

قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًۭا ضَآلِّينَ

Qaaloo Rabbanaa ghalabat 'alainaa shiqwatunaa wa kunnaa qawman daaalleen

They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk.

بولے اے رب زور کیا ہم پر ہماری کم بختی نے اور رہے ہم لوگ بہکے ہوئے

رَبَّنَآ أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُدْنَا فَإِنَّا ظَٰلِمُونَ

Rabbanaa akhrijnaa minhaa fa in 'udnaa fa innaa zaalimoon

Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers.

اے ہمارے رب نکال لے ہم کو اس میں سے اگر ہم پھر کریں تو ہم گنہگار [۱۰۷]

قَالَ ٱخْسَـُٔوا۟ فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ

Qaalakh sa'oo feehaa wa laa tukallimoon

He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me.

فرمایا پڑے رہو پھٹکار ے ہوئے اس میں اور مجھ سے نہ بولو

إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فَرِيقٌۭ مِّنْ عِبَادِى يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ

Innahoo kaana fareequm min 'ibaadee yaqooloona Rabbanaaa aamannaa faghfir lanaa warhamnaa wa Anta khairur raahimeen

Lo! there was a party of My slaves who said: Our Lord! We believe, therefor forgive us and have mercy on us for Thou art Best of all who show mercy;

ایک فرقہ تھا میرے بندوں میں جو کہتے تھے اے رب ہمارے ہم یقین لائے سو معاف کر ہم کو اور رحم کر ہم پر اور تو سب رحم والوں سے بہتر ہے [۱۰۸]

فَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰٓ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِى وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ

Fattakhaztumoohum sikhriyyan hattaaa ansawkum zikree wa kuntum minhum tadhakoon

But ye chose them for a laughing-stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them.

پھر تم نے ان کو ٹھٹھوں میں پکڑا یہاں تک کہ بھول گئے انکے پیچھے میری یاد اور تم ان سے ہنستے رہے [۱۰۹]

إِنِّى جَزَيْتُهُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ هُمُ ٱلْفَآئِزُونَ

Inee jazaituhumul Yawma bimaa sabarooo annahum humul faaa'izoon

Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant.

میں نے آج دیا ان کو بدلہ انکے صبر کرنے کا کہ وہی ہیں مراد کو پہنچنے والے [۱۱۰]

قَٰلَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ

Qaala kam labistum fil ardi 'adada sineen

He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years?

فرمایا تم کتنی دیر رہے زمین میں برسوں کی گنتی سے

قَالُوا۟ لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍۢ فَسْـَٔلِ ٱلْعَآدِّينَ

Qaaloo labisnaa yawman aw ba'da yawmin fas'alil 'aaaddeen

They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count!

بولے ہم رہے ایک یا کچھ دن سے کم تو پوچھ لے گنتی والوں سے [۱۱۱]

قَٰلَ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا ۖ لَّوْ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

Qaala il labistum illaa qaleelal law annakum kuntum ta'lamoon

He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew.

فرمایا تم اس میں بہت نہیں تھوڑا ہی رہے ہو اگر تم جانتے ہوتے [۱۱۲]

أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ عَبَثًۭا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ

Afahsibtum annamaa khalaqnaakum 'abasanw wa annakum ilainaa laa turja'oon

Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us?

سو کیا تم خیال رکھتے ہو کہ ہم نے تم کو بنایا کھیلنے کو اور تم ہمارے پاس پھر کر نہ آؤ گے [۱۱۳]

فَتَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْكَرِيمِ

Fata'aalal laahul Malikul Haqq; laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa Rabbul 'Arshil Kareem

Now Allah be Exalted, the True King! There is no Allah save Him, the Lord of the Throne of Grace.

سو بہت اوپر ہے اللہ وہ بادشاہ سچا کوئی حاکم نہیں اس کے سوائے مالک اس عزت کے تخت کا [۱۱۴]

وَمَن يَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ لَا بُرْهَٰنَ لَهُۥ بِهِۦ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

Wa mai yad'u ma'allaahi ilaahan aakhara laa burhaana lahoo bihee fa innnamaa hisaabuhoo 'inda Rabbih; innahoo laa yuflihul kaafiroon

He who crieth unto any other god along with Allah hath no proof thereof. His reckoning is only with his Lord. Lo! disbelievers will not be successful.

اور جو کوئی پکارے اللہ کے ساتھ دوسرا حاکم جس کی سند نہیں اس کے پاس سو اس کا حساب ہے اس کے رب کے نزدیک [۱۱۵] بیشک بھلا نہ ہو گا منکروں کا

وَقُل رَّبِّ ٱغْفِرْ وَٱرْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ

Wa qur Rabbigh fir warham wa Anta khairur raahimeen

And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy.

اور تو کہہ اے رب معاف کر اور رحم کر اور تو ہے بہتر سب رحم والوں سے [۱۱۶]
