An-Naml

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ طسٓ ۚ تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْقُرْءَانِ وَكِتَابٍۢ مُّبِينٍ

Taa-Seeen; tilka Aayaatul Qur-aani wa Kitaabim Mubeen

Ta. Sin. These are revelations of the Qur'an and a Scripture that maketh plain;

طٰس۔ یہ آیتیں ہیں قرآن اور کھلی کتاب کی

هُدًۭى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Hudanw wa bushraa lil mu'mineen

A guidance and good tidings for believers

ہدایت اور خوشخبری ایمان والوں کے واسطے

ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ

Allazeena yuqeemoonas Salaata wa yu'toonaz Zakaata wa hum bil Aakhirati hum yooqinoon

Who establish worship and pay the poor-due and are sure of the Hereafter.

جو قائم رکھتے ہیں نماز کو اور دیتے ہیں زکوٰۃ اور ان کو آخرت پر یقین ہے

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ زَيَّنَّا لَهُمْ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ فَهُمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

Innal lazeena laa yu'mimoona bil Aakhirati zaiyannaa lahum a'maalahum fahum ya'mahoon

Lo! as for those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their works fairseeming unto them so that they are all astray.

جو لوگ نہیں مانتے آخرت کو اچھے دکھلائے ہم نے ان کی نظروں میں انکے کام سو وہ بہکے پھرتے ہیں [۱]

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلْعَذَابِ وَهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلْأَخْسَرُونَ

Ulaaa'ikal lazeena lahum sooo'ul 'azaabi wa hum fil Aakhirati humul akhsaroon

Those are they for whom is the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers.

وہی ہیں جن کے واسطے بری طرح کا عذاب ہے اور آخرت میں وہی ہیں خراب [۲]

وَإِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ عَلِيمٍ

Wa innaka latulaqqal Qur-aana mil ladun Hakeemin 'Aleem

Lo! as for thee (Muhammad), thou verily receivest the Qur'an from the presence of One Wise, Aware.

اور تجھ کو قرآن پہنچتا ہے ایک حکمت والے خبردار کے پاس سے [۳]

إِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَهْلِهِۦٓ إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًۭا سَـَٔاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوْ ءَاتِيكُم بِشِهَابٍۢ قَبَسٍۢ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُونَ

Iz qaala Moosaa li ahliheee inneee aanastu naaran saaateekum minhaa bikhabarin aw aateekum bishihaabin qabasil la'allakum tastaloon

(Remember) when Moses said unto his household: Lo! I spy afar off a fire; I will bring you tidings thence, or bring to you a borrowed flame that ye may warm yourselves.

جب کہا موسٰی نے اپنے گھر والوں کو میں نے دیکھی ہے آگ [۴] اب لاتا ہوں تمہارے پاس وہاں سے کچھ خبر یا لاتا ہوں انگارا سلگا کر شاید تم سینکو [۵]

فَلَمَّا جَآءَهَا نُودِىَ أَنۢ بُورِكَ مَن فِى ٱلنَّارِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Falammaa jaaa'ahaa noodiya am boorika man finnnnaari wa man hawlahaa wa Subhaanal laahi Rabbil 'aalameen

But when he reached it, he was called, saying: Blessed is Whosoever is in the fire and Whosoever is round about it! And Glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!

پھر جب پہنچا اسکے پاس آواز ہوئی کہ برکت ہے اس پر جو کوئی کہ آگ میں ہے اور جو اسکے آس پاس ہے [۶] اور پاک ہے وہ ذات اللہ کی جو رب سارے جہان کا [۷]

يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

Yaa Moosaaa innahooo Anal laahul 'Azeezul Hakeem

O Moses! Lo! it is I, Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.

اے موسٰی وہ میں اللہ ہوں زبردست حکمتوں والا [۸]

وَأَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَآنٌّۭ وَلَّىٰ مُدْبِرًۭا وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ ۚ يَٰمُوسَىٰ لَا تَخَفْ إِنِّى لَا يَخَافُ لَدَىَّ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ

Wa alqi 'asaak; falammmaa ra aahaa tahtazzu ka annahaa jaaannunw wallaa mudbiranw wa lam yu'aqqib; yaa Moosaa laa takhaf innee laa yakhaafu ladaiyal mursaloon

And throw down thy staff! But when he saw it writhing as it were a demon, he turned to flee headlong; (but it was said unto him): O Moses! Fear not! the emissaries fear not in My presence,

اور ڈال دے لاٹھی اپنی پھر جب دیکھا اسکو پھنپھناتے جیسے سانپ کی سٹک [۹] لوٹا پیٹھ پھیر کر او رمڑ کر نہ دیکھا [۱۰] اے موسٰی مت ڈر میں جو ہوں میرےپاس نہیں ڈرتے رسول [۱۱]

إِلَّا مَن ظَلَمَ ثُمَّ بَدَّلَ حُسْنًۢا بَعْدَ سُوٓءٍۢ فَإِنِّى غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Illaa man zalama summa baddala husnam ba'da sooo'in fa innee Ghafoorur Raheem

Save him who hath done wrong and afterward hath changed evil for good. And lo! I am Forgiving, Merciful.

مگر جس نے زیادتی کی پھر بدلے میں نیکی کی برائی کے پیچھے تو میں بخشنے والا مہربان ہوں [۱۲]

وَأَدْخِلْ يَدَكَ فِى جَيْبِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَآءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوٓءٍۢ ۖ فِى تِسْعِ ءَايَٰتٍ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۭا فَٰسِقِينَ

Wa adkhil yadaka fee jaibika takhruj baidaaa'a min ghairisooo'in feetis'i Aayaatin ilaa Fir'awna wa qawmih; innahum kaanoo qawman faasiqeen

And put thy hand into the bosom of thy robe, it will come forth white but unhurt. (This will be one) among nine tokens unto Pharaoh and his people Lo! they were ever evil-living folk.

اور ڈال دے ہاتھ اپنا اپنے گریبان میں کہ نکلے سفید ہو کر نہ کسی برائی سے یہ دونوں ملکر نو نشانیاں لیکر جا فرعون اور اس کی قوم کی طرف بیشک وہ تھے لوگ نافرمان [۱۳]

فَلَمَّا جَآءَتْهُمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا مُبْصِرَةًۭ قَالُوا۟ هَٰذَا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

Falammaa jaaa'at hum Aayaatunaa mubsiratan qaaloo haazaa sihrum mubeen

But when Our tokens came unto them, plain to see, they said: This is mere magic,

پھر جب پہنچیں انکے پاس ہماری نشانیاں سمجھانے کو بولے یہ جادو ہے صریح

وَجَحَدُوا۟ بِهَا وَٱسْتَيْقَنَتْهَآ أَنفُسُهُمْ ظُلْمًۭا وَعُلُوًّۭا ۚ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

Wa jahadoo bihaa wastaiqanat haaa anfusuhum zulmanw-wa 'uluwwaa; fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mufsideen

And they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, for spite and arrogance. Then see the nature of the consequence for the wrong-doers!

اور ان کا انکار کیا اور ان کا یقین کر چکے تھے اپنے جی میں بے انصافی اور غرور سے سو دیکھ لے کیا ہوا انجام خرابی کرنے والوں کا [۱۴]

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ عِلْمًۭا ۖ وَقَالَا ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍۢ مِّنْ عِبَادِهِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Wa laqad aatainaa Daawooda wa sulaimaana 'ilmaa; wa qaalal hamdu lil laahil lazee faddalanaa 'alaa kaseerim min 'ibaadihil mu'mineen

And We verily gave knowledge unto David and Solomon, and they said: Praise be to Allah, Who hath preferred us above many of His believing slaves!

اور ہم نے دیا داؤد اور سلیمان کو ایک علم [۱۵] اور بولے شکر اللہ کا جس نے ہم کو بزرگی دی [۱۶] اپنے بہت سے بندوں ایمان والوں پر [۱۷]

وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَٰنُ دَاوُۥدَ ۖ وَقَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنطِقَ ٱلطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَضْلُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

Wa warisa Sulaimaanu Daawooda wa qaala yaaa aiyuhan naasu 'ullimnaa mantiqat tairi wa ooteenaa min kulli shai'in inna haazaa lahuwal fadlul mubeen

And Solomon was David's heir. And he said: O mankind! Lo! we have been taught the language of birds, and have been given (abundance) of all things. This surely is evident favour.

اور قائم مقام ہوا سلیمان داؤد کا [۱۸] اور بولے اے لوگو ہم کو سکھائی ہے بولی اڑتے جانوروں کی [۱۹] اور دیا ہم کو ہر چیز میں سے [۲۰] بیشک یہی ہے فضیلت صریح

وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَيْمَٰنَ جُنُودُهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ وَٱلطَّيْرِ فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ

Wa hushira Sulaimaana junooduhoo minal jinni wal insi wattairi fahum yooza'oon

And there were gathered together unto Solomon his armies of the jinn and humankind, and of the birds, and they were set in battle order;

اور جمع کئے گئے سلیمان کے پاس اسکے لشکر جن اور انسان اور اڑتے جانور پھر انکی جماعتیں بنائی [۲۱]

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ وَادِ ٱلنَّمْلِ قَالَتْ نَمْلَةٌۭ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّمْلُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ مَسَٰكِنَكُمْ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَٰنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

hattaaa izaaa ataw 'alaa waadin namli qaalat namlatuny yaaa aiyuhan namlud khuloo masaakinakum laa yahtimannakum Sulaimaanu wa junooduhoo wa hum laa yash'uroon

Till, when they reached the Valley of the Ants, an ant exclaimed: O ants! Enter your dwellings lest Solomon and his armies crush you, unperceiving.

یہاں تک کہ جب پہنچے چیونٹیوں کے میدان پر [۲۲] کہا ایک چیونٹی نے اے چیونٹیو گھس جاؤ اپنے گھروں میں نہ پیس ڈالے تم کو سلیمان اور اسکی فوجیں اور انکو خبر بھی نہ ہو [۲۳]

فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكًۭا مِّن قَوْلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٰلِحًۭا تَرْضَىٰهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِى بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِى عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

Fatabassama daahikam min qawlihaa wa qaala Rabbi awzi'nee an ashkura ni'mata kal lateee an'amta 'alaiya wa 'alaa waalidaiya wa an a'mala saalihan tardaahu wa adkhilnee birahmatika fee 'ibaadikas saaliheen

And (Solomon) smiled, laughing at her speech, and said: My Lord, arouse me to be thankful for Thy favour wherewith Thou hast favoured me and my parents, and to do good that shall be pleasing unto Thee, and include me in (the number of) Thy righteous slaves.

پھر مسکرا کر ہنس پڑا اسکی بات سے [۲۴] اور بولا اے میرے رب میری قسمت میں دےکہ شکر کروں تیرے احسان کا جو تو نے کیا مجھ پر اور میرے ماں باپ پر اور یہ کہ کروں کام نیک جو تو پسند کرے اور ملا لے مجھ کو اپنی رحمت سے اپنے نیک بندوں میں [۲۵]

وَتَفَقَّدَ ٱلطَّيْرَ فَقَالَ مَا لِىَ لَآ أَرَى ٱلْهُدْهُدَ أَمْ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْغَآئِبِينَ

Wa tafaqqadat taira faqaala maa liya laaa aral hud hud, am kaana minal ghaaa'ibeen

And he sought among the birds and said: How is it that I see not the hoopoe, or is he among the absent?

اور خبر لی اڑتے جانوروں کی تو کہا کیا ہے جو میں نہیں دیکھتا ہد ہد کو یا ہے وہ غائب [۲۶]

لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ عَذَابًۭا شَدِيدًا أَوْ لَأَا۟ذْبَحَنَّهُۥٓ أَوْ لَيَأْتِيَنِّى بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

La-u'azzibanahoo 'azaaban shadeedan aw la azbahannahoo aw layaatiyannee bisultaanim mubeen

I verily will punish him with hard punishment or I verily will slay him, or he verily shall bring me a plain excuse.

اس کو سزا دوں گا سخت سزا [۲۷] یا ذبح کر ڈالوں گا یا لائے میرے پاس کوئی سند صریح [۲۸]

فَمَكَثَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍۢ فَقَالَ أَحَطتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِۦ وَجِئْتُكَ مِن سَبَإٍۭ بِنَبَإٍۢ يَقِينٍ

Famakasa ghaira ba'eedin faqaala ahattu bimaa lam tuhit bihee wa ji'tuka min Sabaim binaba iny-yaqeen

But he was not long in coming, and he said: I have found out (a thing) that thou apprehendest not, and I come unto thee from Sheba with sure tidings.

پھر بہت دیر نہ کی کہ آ کر کہا میں لے آیا خبر ایک چیز کی کہ تجھ کو اس کی خبر نہ تھی اور آیا ہوں تیرے پاس سبا سے ایک خبر لیکر تحقیقی [۲۹]

إِنِّى وَجَدتُّ ٱمْرَأَةًۭ تَمْلِكُهُمْ وَأُوتِيَتْ مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَلَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

Innee wajattum ra atan tamlikuhum wa ootiyat min kulli shai'inw wa lahaa 'arshun 'azeem

Lo! I found a woman ruling over them, and she hath been given (abundance) of all things, and hers is a mighty throne.

میں نے پایا ایک عورت کو جو ان پر بادشاہی کرتی ہے اور اسکو ہر ایک چیز ملی ہے [۳۰] اور اس کا ایک تخت ہے بڑا [۳۱]

وَجَدتُّهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُونَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ

Wajattuhaa wa qawmahaa yasjudoona lishshamsi min doonil laahi wa zaiyana lahumush Shaitaanu a'maalahum fasaddahum 'anis sabeeli fahum laa yahtadoon

I found her and her people worshipping the sun instead of Allah; and Satan maketh their works fairseeming unto them, and debarreth them from the way (of Truth), so that they go not aright;

میں نے پایا کہ وہ اور اسکی قوم سجدہ کرتے ہیں سورج کو اللہ کے سوائے اور بھلے دکھلا رکھے ہیں ان کو شیطان نے انکے کام پھر روک دیا ہے انکو رستہ سے سو وہ راہ نہیں پاتے [۳۲]

أَلَّا يَسْجُدُوا۟ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى يُخْرِجُ ٱلْخَبْءَ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُخْفُونَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ

Allaa yasjudoo lillaahil lazee yukhrijul khab'a fis samaawaati wal ardi wa ya'lamu maa tukhfoona wa maa tu'linoon

So that they worship not Allah, Who bringeth forth the hidden in the heavens and the earth, and knoweth what ye hide and what ye proclaim,

کیوں نہ سجدہ کریں اللہ کو جو نکالتا ہے چھپی ہوئی چیز آسمانوں میں اور زمین میں اور جانتا ہے جو چھپاتے ہو اور جو ظاہر کرتے ہو [۳۳]

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ۩

Allaahu laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa Rabbul 'Arshil Azeem

Allah; there is no Allah save Him, the Lord of the Tremendous Throne.

اللہ ہے کسی کی بندگی نہیں اس کے سوائے پروردگار تخت بڑے کا [۳۴]

۞ قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ أَصَدَقْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ

Qaala sananzuru asadaqta am kunta minal kaazibeen

(Solomon) said: We shall see whether thou speakest truth or whether thou art of the liars.

سلیمان نے کہا ہم اب دیکھتے ہیں تو نے سچ کہا یا تو جھوٹا ہے [۳۵]

ٱذْهَب بِّكِتَٰبِى هَٰذَا فَأَلْقِهْ إِلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا يَرْجِعُونَ

Izhab bikitaabee haaza fa alqih ilaihim summma tawalla 'anhum fanzur maazaa yarji'oon

Go with this my letter and throw it down unto them; then turn away and see what (answer) they return,

لیجا میرا یہ خط اور ڈال دے ان کی طرف پھر ان کے پاس سے ہٹ آ پھر دیکھ وہ کیا جواب دیتے ہیں [۳۶]

قَالَتْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ إِنِّىٓ أُلْقِىَ إِلَىَّ كِتَٰبٌۭ كَرِيمٌ

Qaalat yaaa aiyuhal mala'u innee ulqiya ilaiya kitaabun kareem

(The Queen of Sheba) said (when she received the letter): O chieftains! Lo! there hath been thrown unto me a noble letter.

کہنے لگی اے دربار والو میرے پاس ڈالا گیا ایک خط عزت کا

إِنَّهُۥ مِن سُلَيْمَٰنَ وَإِنَّهُۥ بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Innahoo min Sulaimaana wa innahoo bismil laahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Lo! it is from Solomon, and lo! it is: In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful;

وہ خط ہے سلیمان کی طرف سے [۳۷] اور وہ یہ ہے شروع اللہ کے نام سے جو بیحد مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے

أَلَّا تَعْلُوا۟ عَلَىَّ وَأْتُونِى مُسْلِمِينَ

Allaa ta'loo 'alaiya waa toonee muslimeen

Exalt not yourselves against me, but come unto me as those who surrender.

کہ زور نہ کرو میرے مقابلہ میں اور چلے آؤ میرے سامنے حکمبردار ہو کر [۳۸]

قَالَتْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ أَفْتُونِى فِىٓ أَمْرِى مَا كُنتُ قَاطِعَةً أَمْرًا حَتَّىٰ تَشْهَدُونِ

Qaalat yaaa aiyuhal mala'u aftoonee fee amree maa kuntu qaati'atan amran hattaa tashhhaddon

She said: O chieftains! Pronounce for me in my case. I decide no case till ye are present with me.

کہنے لگی اے دربار والو مشورہ دو مجھ کو میرے کام میں میں طے نہیں کرتی کوئی کام تمہارے حاضر ہونے تک [۳۹]

قَالُوا۟ نَحْنُ أُو۟لُوا۟ قُوَّةٍۢ وَأُو۟لُوا۟ بَأْسٍۢ شَدِيدٍۢ وَٱلْأَمْرُ إِلَيْكِ فَٱنظُرِى مَاذَا تَأْمُرِينَ

Qaaloo nahnu uloo quwwatinw wa uloo baasin shadeed; wal amru ilaiki fanzuree maazaa taamureen

They said: We are lords of might and lords of great prowess, but it is for thee to command; so consider what thou wilt command.

وہ بولے ہم لوگ زور آور ہیں اور سخت لڑائی والے اور کام تیرے اختیار میں ہے سو تو دیکھ لے جو حکم کرے [۴۰]

قَالَتْ إِنَّ ٱلْمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُوا۟ قَرْيَةً أَفْسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوٓا۟ أَعِزَّةَ أَهْلِهَآ أَذِلَّةًۭ ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ

Qaalat innal mulooka izaa dakhaloo qaryatan afsadoohaa wa ja'alooo a'izzata ahlihaaa azillah; wa kazaalika yaf'aloon

She said: Lo! kings, when they enter a township, ruin it and make the honour of its people shame. Thus will they do.

کہنے لگی بادشاہ جب گھستے ہیں کسی بستی میں اسکو خراب کر دیتے ہیں اور کر ڈالتے ہیں وہاں کے سرداروں کو بے عزت اور ایسا ہی کچھ کریں گے

وَإِنِّى مُرْسِلَةٌ إِلَيْهِم بِهَدِيَّةٍۢ فَنَاظِرَةٌۢ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ

Wa innee mursilatun ilaihim bihadiyyatin fanaaziratum bima yarji'ul mursaloon

But lo! I am going to send a present unto them, and to see with what (answer) the messengers return.

اور میں بھیجتی ہوں ان کی طرف کچھ تحفہ پھر دیکھتی ہوں کیا جواب لیکر پھرتے ہیں بھیجے ہوئے [۴۱]

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ سُلَيْمَٰنَ قَالَ أَتُمِدُّونَنِ بِمَالٍۢ فَمَآ ءَاتَىٰنِۦَ ٱللَّهُ خَيْرٌۭ مِّمَّآ ءَاتَىٰكُم بَلْ أَنتُم بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ

Falammaa jaaa'a Sulaimaana qaala atumiddoonani bimaalin famaaa aataakum bal antum bihadiy yatikum tafrahoon

So when (the envoy) came unto Solomon, (the King) said: What! Would ye help me with wealth? But that which Allah hath given me is better than that which He hath given you. Nay it is ye (and not I) who exult in your gift.

پھر جب پہنچا سلیمان کے پاس بولا کیا تم میری اعانت کرتے ہو مال سے جو اللہ نے مجھ کو دیا ہے بہتر ہے اس سے جو تم کو دیا ہے بلکہ تم ہی اپنے تحفہ سے خوش رہو [۴۲]

ٱرْجِعْ إِلَيْهِمْ فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّهُم بِجُنُودٍۢ لَّا قِبَلَ لَهُم بِهَا وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُم مِّنْهَآ أَذِلَّةًۭ وَهُمْ صَٰغِرُونَ

Irji' ilaihim falanaatiyan nahum bijunoodil laa qibala lahum bihaa wa lanukhri jannahum minhaaa azillatanw wa hum saaghiroon

Return unto them. We verily shall come unto them with hosts that they cannot resist, and we shall drive them out from thence with shame, and they will be abased.

پھر جا ان کے پاس اب ہم پہنچتے ہیں ان پر ساتھ لشکروں کے جنکا مقابلہ نہ ہو سکے ان سے اور نکال دیں گے ان کو وہاں سے بےعزت کر کر اور وہ خوار ہوں گے [۴۳]

قَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ أَيُّكُمْ يَأْتِينِى بِعَرْشِهَا قَبْلَ أَن يَأْتُونِى مُسْلِمِينَ

Qaala yaaa aiyuhal mala'u aiyukum yaateenee bi'arshihaa qabla ai yaatoonee muslimeen

He said: O chiefs! Which of you will bring me her throne before they come unto me, surrendering?

بولا اے دربار والو تم میں کوئی ہے کہ لے آوے میرے پاس اس کا تخت پہلے اس سے کہ وہ آئیں میرے پاس حکم بردار ہو کر [۴۴]

قَالَ عِفْرِيتٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِيكَ بِهِۦ قَبْلَ أَن تَقُومَ مِن مَّقَامِكَ ۖ وَإِنِّى عَلَيْهِ لَقَوِىٌّ أَمِينٌۭ

Qaala 'ifreetum minal jinni ana aateeka bihee qabla an taqooma mim maqaamika wa innee 'alaihi laqawiyyun ameen

A stalwart of the jinn said: I will bring it thee before thou canst rise from thy place. Lo! I verily am strong and trusty for such work.

بولا ایک دیو جنوں میں سے میں لائے دیتا ہوں وہ تجھکو پہلے اس سے کہ تو اٹھے اپنی جگہ سے [۴۵] اور میں اس پر زورآور ہوں معتبر [۴۶]

قَالَ ٱلَّذِى عِندَهُۥ عِلْمٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِيكَ بِهِۦ قَبْلَ أَن يَرْتَدَّ إِلَيْكَ طَرْفُكَ ۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهُ مُسْتَقِرًّا عِندَهُۥ قَالَ هَٰذَا مِن فَضْلِ رَبِّى لِيَبْلُوَنِىٓ ءَأَشْكُرُ أَمْ أَكْفُرُ ۖ وَمَن شَكَرَ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ رَبِّى غَنِىٌّۭ كَرِيمٌۭ

Qaalal lazee indahoo 'ilmum minal Kitaabi ana aateeka bihee qabla ai yartadda ilaika tarfuk; falammaa ra aahu mustaqirran 'indahoo qaala haazaa min fadli Rabbee li yabluwaneee 'a-ashkuru am akfuru wa man shakara fa innamaa yashkuru linafsihee wa man kafara fa inna Rabbee Ghaniyyun Kareem

One with whom was knowledge of the Scripture said: I will bring it thee before thy gaze returneth unto thee. And when he saw it set in his presence, (Solomon) said: This is of the bounty of my Lord, that He may try me whether I give thanks or am ungrateful. Whosoever giveth thanks he only giveth thanks for (the good of) his own soul; and whosoever is ungrateful (is ungrateful only to his own soul's hurt). For lo! my Lord is Absolute in independence, Bountiful.

بولا وہ شخص جس کے پاس تھا ایک علم کتاب کا میں لائے دیتا ہوں تیرے پاس اسکو پہلے اس سے کہ پھر آئے تیری طرف تیری آنکھ [۴۷] پھر جب دیکھا اسکو دھرا ہوا اپنے پاس کہا یہ میرے رب کا فضل ہے [۴۸] میرے جانچنے کو کہ میں شکر کرتا ہوں یا ناشکری [۴۹] اور جو کوئی شکر کرے سو شکر کرے اپنے واسطے اور جو کوئی ناشکری کرے سو میرا رب بے پروا ہے کرم والا [۵۰]

قَالَ نَكِّرُوا۟ لَهَا عَرْشَهَا نَنظُرْ أَتَهْتَدِىٓ أَمْ تَكُونُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ

Qaala nakkiroo lahaa 'arshahaa nanzur atahtadeee am takoonu minal lazeena laa yahtadoon

He said: Disguise her throne for her that we may see whether she will go aright or be of those not rightly guided.

کہا روپ بدل دکھلاؤ اس عورت کے آگے اسکے تخت کا سمجھ پاتی ہے یا ان لوگوں میں ہوتی ہے جن کو سمجھ نہیں [۵۱]

فَلَمَّا جَآءَتْ قِيلَ أَهَٰكَذَا عَرْشُكِ ۖ قَالَتْ كَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ ۚ وَأُوتِينَا ٱلْعِلْمَ مِن قَبْلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسْلِمِينَ

Falammaa jaaa'at qeela ahaakaza 'arshuki qaalat kaanna hoo; wa ooteenal 'ilma min qablihaa wa kunnaa muslimeen

So, when she came, it was said (unto her): Is thy throne like this? She said: (It is) as though it were the very one. And (Solomon said): We were given the knowledge before her and we had surrendered (to Allah).

پھر جب وہ آ پہنچی کسی نے کہا کیا ایسا ہے تیرا تخت بولی گویا یہ وہی ہے [۵۲] اور ہم کو معلوم ہو چکا پہلے سے اور ہم ہو چکے حکم بردار [۵۳]

وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَت تَّعْبُدُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهَا كَانَتْ مِن قَوْمٍۢ كَٰفِرِينَ

Wa saddahaa maa kaanat ta'budu min doonil laahi innahaa kaanat min qawmin kaafireen

And (all) that she was wont to worship instead of Allah hindered her, for she came of disbelieving folk.

اور روک دیا اس کو ان چیزوں سے جو پوجتی تھی اللہ کے سوائے البتہ وہ تھی منکر لوگوں میں [۵۴]

قِيلَ لَهَا ٱدْخُلِى ٱلصَّرْحَ ۖ فَلَمَّا رَأَتْهُ حَسِبَتْهُ لُجَّةًۭ وَكَشَفَتْ عَن سَاقَيْهَا ۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ صَرْحٌۭ مُّمَرَّدٌۭ مِّن قَوَارِيرَ ۗ قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّى ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِى وَأَسْلَمْتُ مَعَ سُلَيْمَٰنَ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Qeela lahad khulis sarha falammaa ra at hu hasibat hu lujjatanw wa khashafat 'an saaqaihaa; qaala innahoo sarhum mumarradum min qawaareer; qaalat Rabbi innee zalamtu nafsee wa aslamtu ma'a Sulaimaana lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen

It was said unto her: Enter the hall. And when she saw it she deemed it a pool and bared her legs. (Solomon) said: Lo! it is a hall, made smooth, of glass. She said: My Lord! Lo! I have wronged myself, and I surrender with Solomon unto Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

کسی نے کہا اس عورت کو اندر چل محل میں پھر جب دیکھا اسکو خیال کیا کہ وہ پانی ہے گہرا اور کھولیں اپنی پنڈلیاں [۵۵] کہا یہ تو ایک محل ہے جڑے ہوئے ہیں اس میں شیشے [۵۶] بولی اے رب میں نے برا کیا ہے اپنی جان کا اور میں حکم بردار ہوئی ساتھ سلیمان کے اللہ کے آگے جو رب ہے سارے جہان کا [۵۷]

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَٰلِحًا أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَإِذَا هُمْ فَرِيقَانِ يَخْتَصِمُونَ

Wa laqad arsalnaaa ilaa Samoda akhaahum Saalihan ani'budul lahha fa izaa hum fareeqaani yakhtasimoon

And We verily sent unto Thamud their brother Salih, saying: Worship Allah. And lo! they (then became two parties quarrelling.

اور ہم نے بھیجا تھا ثمود کی طرف ان کے بھائی صالح کو کہ بندگی کرو اللہ کی پھر وہ تو دو فرقے ہو کر لگے جھگڑنے [۵۸]

قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ لِمَ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ ۖ لَوْلَا تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

Qaala yaa qawmi lima tasta'jiloona bissaiyi'ati qablal hasanati law laa tas taghfiroonal laaha la'allakum turhamoon

He said: O my people! Why will ye hasten on the evil rather than the good? Why will ye not ask pardon of Allah, that ye may receive mercy.

کہا اے میری قوم کیوں جلدی مانگتے ہو برائی کو پہلے بھلائی سے کیوں نہیں گناہ بخشواتے اللہ سے شاید تم پر رحم ہو جائے [۵۹]

قَالُوا۟ ٱطَّيَّرْنَا بِكَ وَبِمَن مَّعَكَ ۚ قَالَ طَٰٓئِرُكُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌۭ تُفْتَنُونَ

Qaalut taiyarnaa bika wa bimam ma'ak; qaala taaa'irukum 'indal laahi bal antum qawmun tuftanoon

They said: We augur evil of thee and those with thee. He said: Your evil augury is with Allah. Nay, but ye are folk that are being tested.

بولے ہم نے منحوس قدم دیکھا تجھ کو اور تیرے ساتھ والوں کو [۶۰] کہا تمہاری بری قسمت اللہ کے پاس ہے [۶۱] کچھ نہیں تم لوگ جانچے جاتے ہو [۶۲]

وَكَانَ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍۢ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ

Wa kaana fil madeenati tis'atu rahtiny yufsidoona fil ardi wa laa yuslihoon

And there were in the city nine persons who made mischief in the land and reformed not.

اور تھے اس شہر میں نو شخص کہ خرابی کرتے ملک میں اور اصلاح نہ کرتے [۶۳]

قَالُوا۟ تَقَاسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُۥ وَأَهْلَهُۥ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِۦ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ أَهْلِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ

Qaaloo taqaasamoo billaahi lanubaiyitannahoo wa ahlahoo summaa lanaqoolana liwaliy yihee maa shahidnaa mahlika ahliee wa innaa lasaadiqoon

They said: Swear one to another by Allah that we verily will attack him and his household by night, and afterward we will surely say unto his friend: We witnessed not the destruction of his household. And lo! we are truthtellers.

بولے کہ آپس میں قسم کھاؤ اللہ کی کہ البتہ رات کو جا پڑیں ہم اس پر اسکے گھر پر پھر کہدیں گے اسکے دعویٰ کرنے والے کو ہم نے نہیں دیکھا جب تباہ ہوا اس کا گھر اور ہم بیشک سچ کہتے ہیں [۶۴]

وَمَكَرُوا۟ مَكْرًۭا وَمَكَرْنَا مَكْرًۭا وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

Wa makaroo makranw wa makarnaa makranw wa hum laa yash'uroon

So they plotted a plot: and We plotted a plot, while they perceived not.

اور انہوں نے بنایا ایک فریب اور ہم نے بنایا ایک فریب اور انکو خبر نہ ہوئی [۶۵]

فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ مَكْرِهِمْ أَنَّا دَمَّرْنَٰهُمْ وَقَوْمَهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

Fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatu makrihim annaa dammar naahum wa qawmahum ajma'een

Then see the nature of the consequence of their plotting, for lo! We destroyed them and their people, every one.

پھر دیکھ لے کیسا ہوا انجام انکے فریب کا کہ ہلاک کر ڈالا ہم نے انکو اور انکی قوم کو سب کو [۶۶]

فَتِلْكَ بُيُوتُهُمْ خَاوِيَةًۢ بِمَا ظَلَمُوٓا۟ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْلَمُونَ

Fatilka buyootuhum khaa wiyatam bimaa zalamoo; inna fee zaalika la Aayatal liqaw miny-ya'lamoon

See, yonder are their dwellings empty and in ruins because they did wrong. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for a people who have knowledge.

سو یہ پڑے ہیں ان کے گھر ڈھیر ہوئے بسبب انکے انکار کے [۶۷] البتہ اس میں نشانی ہے ان لوگوں کے لئے جو جانتے ہیں [۶۸]

وَأَنجَيْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ يَتَّقُونَ

Wa anjainal lazeena aamanoo wa kaanoo yattaqoon

And we saved those who believed and used to ward off (evil).

اور بچا دیا ہم نے ان کو جو یقین لائے تھے اور بچتے رہے تھے [۶۹]

وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلْفَٰحِشَةَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ

Wa lootan iz qaala liqawmiheee ataatoonal faa hishata wa antum qawmun tajjhaloon

And Lot! when he said unto his folk: Will ye commit abomination knowingly?

اور لوط کو جب کہا اس نے اپنی قوم کو کیا تم کرتے ہو بے حیائی اور تم دیکھتے ہو [۷۰]

أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ ٱلرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةًۭ مِّن دُونِ ٱلنِّسَآءِ ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌۭ تَجْهَلُونَ

A'innakum lataatoonar rijaala shahwatam min doonin nisaaa'; bal antum qawmun tajhaloon

Must ye needs lust after men instead of women? Nay, but ye are folk who act senselessly.

کیا تم دوڑتے ہو مردوں پر للچا کر عورتوں کو چھوڑ کر کوئی نہیں تم لوگ بے سمجھ ہو [۷۱]

۞ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓا۟ أَخْرِجُوٓا۟ ءَالَ لُوطٍۢ مِّن قَرْيَتِكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ أُنَاسٌۭ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ

Fammaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaalooo akrijoon aalaa Lootim min qaryatikum innahum unaasuny yatatahharoon

But the answer of his folk was naught save that they said: Expel the household of Lot from your township, for they (forsooth) are folk who would keep clean!

پھر اور کچھ جواب نہ تھا اس کی قوم کا مگر یہی کہ کہتے تھے نکال دو لوط کے گھر کو اپنے شہر سے یہ لوگ ہیں ستھرے رہا چاہتے [۷۲]

فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرْنَٰهَا مِنَ ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ

Fa anjainaahu wa ahlahooo illam ra atahoo qaddarnaahaa minal ghaabireen

Then We saved him and his household save his wife; We destined her to be of those who stayed behind.

پھر بچا دیا ہم نے اسکو اور اسکے گھر والوں کو [۷۳] مگر اسکی عورت مقرر کر دیا تھا ہم نے اسکو رہ جانے والوں میں [۷۴]

وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًۭا ۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ

Wa amtarnaa 'alaihimm mataran fasaaa'a matarul munzareen

And We rained a rain upon them. Dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned.

اور برسا دیا ہم نے ان پر برساؤ پھر کیا برا برساؤ تھا ان ڈرائے ہوؤں کا [۷۵]

قُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱصْطَفَىٰٓ ۗ ءَآللَّهُ خَيْرٌ أَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

Qulil hamdu lillaahi wa salaamun 'alaa 'ibaadihil lazeenas tafaa; aaallaahu khairun ammmaa yushrikoon

Say (O Muhammad): Praise be to Allah, and peace be on His slaves whom He hath chosen! Is Allah best, or (all) that ye ascribe as partners (unto Him)?

تو کہہ تعریف ہے اللہ کو اور سلام ہے اس کے بندوں پر جن کو اس نے پسند کیا [۷۶] بھلا اللہ بہتر ہے یا جنکو وہ شریک کرتے ہیں [۷۷]

أَمَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ حَدَآئِقَ ذَاتَ بَهْجَةٍۢ مَّا كَانَ لَكُمْ أَن تُنۢبِتُوا۟ شَجَرَهَآ ۗ أَءِلَٰهٌۭ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌۭ يَعْدِلُونَ

Amman khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa anzala lakum minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa ambatnaa bihee hadaaa'iqa zaata bahjjah; maa kanna lakum an tumbitoo shajarahaa; 'a-ilaahum ma'al laah; bal hum qawmuny ya'diloon

Is not He (best) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sendeth down for you water from the sky wherewith We cause to spring forth joyous orchards, whose trees it never hath been yours to cause to grow. Is there any Allah beside Allah? Nay, but they are folk who ascribe equals (unto Him)!

بھلا کس نے بنائے آسمان اور زمین اور اتار دیا تمہارے لئے آسمان سے پانی پھر اگائے ہم نے اس سے باغ رونق والے تمہارا کام نہ تھا کہ اگاتے ان کے درخت [۷۸] اب کوئی اور حاکم ہے اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی نہیں وہ لوگ راہ سے مڑتے ہیں [۷۹]

أَمَّن جَعَلَ ٱلْأَرْضَ قَرَارًۭا وَجَعَلَ خِلَٰلَهَآ أَنْهَٰرًۭا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ حَاجِزًا ۗ أَءِلَٰهٌۭ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Ammann ja'alal arda qaraaranw wa ja'ala khilaalahaaa anhaaranw wa ja'ala lahaa rawaasiya wa ja'ala bainal bahraini haajizaa; 'a-ilaahumma'allah; bal aksaruhum la ya'lamoon

Is not He (best) Who made the earth a fixed abode, and placed rivers in the folds thereof, and placed firm hills therein, and hath set a barrier between the two seas? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Nay, but most of them know not!

بھلا کس نے بنایا زمین کو ٹھہرنے کی جگہ [۸۰] اور بنائیں اس کے بیچ میں ندیاں اور رکھے اسکے ٹھہرانے کو بوجھ [۸۱] اور رکھا دو دریا میں پردہ [۸۲] اب کوئی اور حاکم ہے اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی نہیں بہتوں کو ان میں سمجھ نہیں [۸۳]

أَمَّن يُجِيبُ ٱلْمُضْطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكْشِفُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَيَجْعَلُكُمْ خُلَفَآءَ ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ أَءِلَٰهٌۭ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ

Ammany-yujeebul mud tarra izaa da'aahu wa yakshifussooo'a wa yaj'alukum khula faaa'al ardi 'a-ilaahum ma'al laahi qaleelam maa tazak karoon

Is not He (best) Who answereth the wronged one when he crieth unto Him and removeth the evil, and hath made you viceroys of the earth? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Little do they reflect!

بھلا کون پہنچتا ہے بےکس کی پکار کو جب اسکو پکارتا ہے اور دور کر دیتا ہے سختی [۸۴] اور کرتا ہے تم کو نائب اگلوں کا زمین پر [۸۵] اب کوئی حاکم ہے اللہ کے ساتھ تم بہت کم دھیان کرتے ہو [۸۶]

أَمَّن يَهْدِيكُمْ فِى ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ وَمَن يُرْسِلُ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشْرًۢا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَحْمَتِهِۦٓ ۗ أَءِلَٰهٌۭ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ تَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

Ammany-yahdeekum fee zulumaatil barri wal bahri wa many yursilu riyaaha bushram baina yadai rahmatih; 'a-ilaahum ma'al laah; Ta'aalal laahu 'ammaa yushrikoon

Is not He (best) Who guideth you in the darkness of the land and the sea, He Who sendeth the winds as heralds of His mercy? Is there any Allah beside Allah? High Exalted be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)!

بھلا کون راہ بتاتا ہے تم کو اندھیروں میں جنگل کے اور دریا کے [۸۷] اور کون چلاتا ہے ہوائیں خوشخبری لانے والیاں اس کی رحمت سے پہلے [۸۸] اب کوئی حاکم ہے اللہ کے ساتھ اللہ بہت اوپر ہے اس سے جسکو شریک بتلاتے ہیں [۸۹]

أَمَّن يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ وَمَن يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ أَءِلَٰهٌۭ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ هَاتُوا۟ بُرْهَٰنَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

Ammmany-yabda'ul khalqa summa yu'eeduhoo wa many-yarzuqukum minas sammaaa'i wal ard; 'a-ilaahum ma'allah; qul haatoo burhaanakum in kuntum saadiqeen

Is not He (best) Who produceth creation, then reproduceth it, and Who provideth for you from the heaven and the earth? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Say: Bring your proof, if ye are truthful!

بھلا کون سرے سے بناتا ہے پھر اسکو دہرائے گا [۹۰] اور کون روزی دیتا ہے تمکو آسمان سے اور زمین سے [۹۱] اب کوئی حاکم ہے اللہ کے ساتھ تو کہہ لاؤ اپنی سند اگر تم سچے ہو [۹۲]

قُل لَّا يَعْلَمُ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلْغَيْبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ أَيَّانَ يُبْعَثُونَ

Qul laa ya'lamu mman fis sammaawaati wal ardil ghaiba illal laah; wa maa yash'uroona aiyaana yub'asoon

Say (O Muhammad): None in the heavens and the earth knoweth the Unseen save Allah; and they know not when they will be raised (again).

تو کہہ خبر نہیں رکھتا جو کوئی ہے آسمان اور زمین میں چھپی ہوئی چیز کی مگر اللہ [۹۳] اور ان کو خبر نہیں کب جی اٹھیں گے [۹۴]

بَلِ ٱدَّٰرَكَ عِلْمُهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِى شَكٍّۢ مِّنْهَا ۖ بَلْ هُم مِّنْهَا عَمُونَ

Balid daaraka 'ilmuhum fil Aakhirah; bal hum fee shakkim minhaa bal hum minhaa 'amoon

Nay, but doth their knowledge reach to the Hereafter? Nay, for they are in doubt concerning it. Nay, for they cannot see it.

بلکہ تھک کر گر گیا ان کا فکر آخرت کے بارہ میں بلکہ ان کو شبہ ہے اس میں بلکہ وہ اس سے اندھے ہیں [۹۵]

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَءِذَا كُنَّا تُرَٰبًۭا وَءَابَآؤُنَآ أَئِنَّا لَمُخْرَجُونَ

Wa qaalal lazeena kafarooo 'a-izaa kunnaa turaabanw wa aabaaa'unaaa a'innaa lamukhrajoon

Yet those who disbelieve say: When we have become dust like our fathers, shall we verily be brought forth (again)?

اور بولے وہ لوگ جو منکر ہیں کیا جب ہم ہو جائیں مٹی اور ہمارے باپ دادے کیا ہم کو زمین سے نکال لیں گے

لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا هَٰذَا نَحْنُ وَءَابَآؤُنَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Laqad wu'idnaa haazaa nahnu wa aabaaa'unaa min qablu in haazaaa illaaa asaateerul awwaleen

We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old.

وعدہ پہنچ چکا ہے اس کا ہم کو اور ہمارے باپ دادوں کو پہلے سے کچھ بھی نہیں یہ نقلیں ہیں اگلوں کی [۹۶]

قُلْ سِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

Qul seeroo fil ardi fanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mujremeen

Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Travel in the land and see the nature of the sequel for the guilty!

تو کہہ دے پھر و ملک میں تو دیکھو کیسا ہوا انجام کار گنہاگاروں کا [۹۷]

وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا تَكُن فِى ضَيْقٍۢ مِّمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ

Wa laa tahzan 'alaihim wa laa takun fee daiqim mimmaa yamkuroon

And grieve thou not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot (against thee).

اور غم نہ کر ان پر اور نہ خفا ہو ان کے فریب بنانے سے [۹۸]

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal wa'du in kuntum saadiqeen

And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful?

اور کہتے ہیں کب ہوگا یہ وعدہ اگر تم سچے ہو [۹۹]

قُلْ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ رَدِفَ لَكُم بَعْضُ ٱلَّذِى تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ

Qul 'asaaa any-yakoona radifa lakum ba'dul lazee tasta'jiloon

Say: It may be that a part of that which ye would hasten on is close behind you.

تو کہہ کیا بعید ہے جو تمہاری پیٹھ پر پہنچ چکی ہو بعضی وہ چیز جس کی جلدی کر رہے ہو [۱۰۰]

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ

Wa innna Rabbaka lazoo fadlin 'alan naasi wa laakina aksarahum laa yashkuroon

Lo! thy Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks.

اور تیرا رب تو فضل رکھتا ہے لوگوں پر پر ان میں بہت لوگ شکر نہیں کرتے [۱۰۱]

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمْ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ

Wa inna Rabbaka la ya'lamu maa tukinnu sudooruhum wa maa yu'linoon

Lo! thy Lord knoweth surely all that their bosoms hide, and all that they proclaim.

اور تیرا رب جانتا ہے جو چھپ رہا ہے انکے سینوں میں اور جو کچھ کہ ظاہر کرتے ہیں

وَمَا مِنْ غَآئِبَةٍۢ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍۢ مُّبِينٍ

Wa maa min ghaaa'ibatin fis samaaa'i wal ardi illaa fee kitaabimm mubeen

And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record.

اور کوئی چیز نہیں جو غائب ہو آسمان اور زمین میں مگر موجود ہے کھلی کتاب میں [۱۰۲]

إِنَّ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ يَقُصُّ عَلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ أَكْثَرَ ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ

Inna haazal Qur-aana yaqussu 'alaa Baneee israaa'eela aksaral lazee hum feehi yakhtalifoon

Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ.

یہ قرآن سناتا ہے بنی اسرائیل کو بہت چیزیں جس میں وہ جھگڑ رہے ہیں

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَهُدًۭى وَرَحْمَةٌۭ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Wa innahoo lahudanw wa rahmatul lilmu'mineen

And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers.

اور بیشک وہ ہدایت ہے اور رحمت ہے ایمان والوں کے واسطے [۱۰۳]

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِى بَيْنَهُم بِحُكْمِهِۦ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Inna Rabbaka yaqdee bainahum bihukmih; wa Huwal 'Azeezul 'Aleem

Lo! thy Lord will judge between them of His wisdom, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

تیرا رب ان میں فیصلہ کرے گا اپنی حکومت سے اور وہی ہے زبردست سب کچھ جاننے والا [۱۰۴]

فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَى ٱلْحَقِّ ٱلْمُبِينِ

Fatawakkal 'alal laahi innaka 'alal haqqil mubeen

Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth.

سو تو بھروسہ کر اللہ پر بیشک تو ہے صحیح کھلے رستہ پر [۱۰۵]

إِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَلَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا وَلَّوْا۟ مُدْبِرِينَ

Innaka laa tusmi'ul mawtaa wa laa tusmi'us summad du'aaa izaa wallaw mudbireen

Lo! thou canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call when they have turned to flee;

البتہ تو نہیں سنا سکتا مردوں کو اور نہیں سنا سکتا بہروں کو اپنی پکار جب لوٹیں وہ پیٹھ پھیر کر

وَمَآ أَنتَ بِهَٰدِى ٱلْعُمْىِ عَن ضَلَٰلَتِهِمْ ۖ إِن تُسْمِعُ إِلَّا مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَهُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

Wa maaa anta bihaadil 'umyi 'an dalaalatihim in tusmi'u illaa mai yu'minu bi aayaatinaa fahum muslimoon

Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none to hear, save those who believe Our revelations and who have surrendered.

اور نہ تو دکھلا سکے اندھوں کو جب وہ راہ سے بچلیں [۱۰۶] تو تو سناتا ہے اسکو جو یقین رکھتا ہو ہماری باتوں پر سو وہ حکمبردار ہیں [۱۰۷]

۞ وَإِذَا وَقَعَ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَخْرَجْنَا لَهُمْ دَآبَّةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ تُكَلِّمُهُمْ أَنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا لَا يُوقِنُونَ

Wa izaa waqa'al qawhu 'alaihim akhrajnaa lahum daabbatam minal ardi tukal limuhum annan naasa kaanoo bi aayaatinaa laa yooqinoon

And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations.

اور جب پڑ چکے گی ان پر بات نکالیں گے ہم ان کے آگے ایک جانور زمین سے ان سے باتیں کرے گا اس واسطے کہ لوگ ہماری نشانیوں کا یقین نہیں کرتے تھے [۱۰۸]

وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍۢ فَوْجًۭا مِّمَّن يُكَذِّبُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ

Wa Yawma nahshuru min kulli ummmatin fawjam mim many-yukazzibu bi Aayaatinaa fahum yooza'oon

And (remind them of) the Day when We shall gather out of every nation a host of those who denied Our revelations, and they will be set in array;

اور جس دن گھیر بلائیں گے ہم اہر ایک فرقہ میں سے ایک جماعت جو جھٹلاتے تھے ہماری باتوں کو پھر انکی جماعت بندی ہو گی [۱۰۹]

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُو قَالَ أَكَذَّبْتُم بِـَٔايَٰتِى وَلَمْ تُحِيطُوا۟ بِهَا عِلْمًا أَمَّاذَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Hattaaa izaa jaaa'oo qaala akazzabtum bi Aayaatee wa lam tuheetoo bihaa 'ilman ammaazaa kuntum ta'maloon

Till, when they come (before their Lord), He will say: Did ye deny My revelations when ye could not compass them in knowledge, or what was it that ye did?

یہاں تک کہ جب حاضر ہو جائیں فرمائے گا کیوں جھٹلایا تم نے میری باتوں کو اور نہ آ چکی تھیں تمہاری سمجھ میں یا بولو کہ کیا کرتے تھے [۱۱۰]

وَوَقَعَ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِم بِمَا ظَلَمُوا۟ فَهُمْ لَا يَنطِقُونَ

Wa waqa'al qawlu 'alaihim bimaa zalamoo fahum laa yantiqoon

And the Word will be fulfilled concerning them because they have done wrong, and they will not speak.

اور پڑ چکی ان پر بات اس واسطے کہ انہوں نے شرارت کی تھی اب وہ کچھ نہیں بول سکتے [۱۱۱]

أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا جَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِيَسْكُنُوا۟ فِيهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Alam yaraw annaa ja'alnal laila li yaskunoo feehi wannahaara mubsiraa; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqaw miny-yu'minoon

Have they not seen how We have appointed the night that they may rest therein, and the day sight-giving? Lo! therein verily are portents for a people who believe.

کیا نہیں دیکھتے کہ ہم نے بنائی رات کہ اس میں چین حاصل کریں اور دن بنایا دیکھنے کا البتہ اس میں نشانیاں ہیں ان لوگوں کے لئے جو یقین کرتے ہیں [۱۱۲]

وَيَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَفَزِعَ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَكُلٌّ أَتَوْهُ دَٰخِرِينَ

Wa Yawma yunfakhu fis Soori fafazi'a man fis samaawaati wa man fil ardi illaa man shaaa'al laah; wa kullun atawhu daakhireen

And (remind them of) the Day when the Trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and the earth will start in fear, save him whom Allah willeth. And all come unto Him, humbled.

اور جس دن پھونکی جائیگی صور [۱۱۳] تو گھبرا جائے جو کوئی ہے آسمان میں اور جو کوئی ہے زمین میں مگر جس کو اللہ چاہے [۱۱۴] اور سب چلے آئیں اسکے آگے عاجزی سے [۱۱۵]

وَتَرَى ٱلْجِبَالَ تَحْسَبُهَا جَامِدَةًۭ وَهِىَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ ٱلسَّحَابِ ۚ صُنْعَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَتْقَنَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَفْعَلُونَ

Wa taral jibaala tahsabuhaa jaamidatanw wa hiya tamurru marras sahaab; sun'al laahil lazeee atqana kulla shai'; innahoo khabeerum bimaa taf'aloon

And thou seest the hills thou deemest solid flying with the flight of clouds: the doing of Allah Who perfecteth all things. Lo! He is Informed of what ye do.

اور تو دیکھے پہاڑوں کو سمجھے کہ وہ جم رہے ہیں اور وہ چلیں گے جیسے چلے بادل [۱۱۶] کاریگری اللہ کی جس نے سادھا ہے ہر چیز کو [۱۱۷] اس کو خبر ہے جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو [۱۱۸]

مَن جَآءَ بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْهَا وَهُم مِّن فَزَعٍۢ يَوْمَئِذٍ ءَامِنُونَ

Man jaaa'a bilhasanati falahoo khairum minhaa wa hum min faza'iny Yawma'izin aaminoon

Whoso bringeth a good deed will have better than its worth; and such are safe from fear that Day.

جو کوئی لیکر آیا بھلائی تو اس کو ملے اس سے بہتر [۱۱۹] اور ان کو گھبراہٹ سے اس دن امن ہے [۱۲۰]

وَمَن جَآءَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ فَكُبَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ فِى ٱلنَّارِ هَلْ تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Wa man jaaa'a bissai yi'ati fakubbat wujoohuhum fin Naari hal tujzawna illaa maa kuntum ta'maloon

And whoso bringeth an ill-deed, such will be flung down on their faces in the Fire. Are ye rewarded aught save what ye did?

اور جو کوئی لیکر آیا برائی سو اوندھے ڈالیں ان کے منہ آگ میں وہی بدلہ پاؤ گے جو کچھ تم کیا کرتے تھے [۱۲۱]

إِنَّمَآ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ رَبَّ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْبَلْدَةِ ٱلَّذِى حَرَّمَهَا وَلَهُۥ كُلُّ شَىْءٍۢ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

Innamaaa umirtu an a'buda Rabba haazihil baldatil lazee harramahaa wa lahoo kullu shai'inw wa umirtu an akoona minal muslimeen

(Say): I (Muhammad) am commanded only to serve the Lord of this land which He hath hallowed, and unto Whom all things belong. And I am commanded to be of those who surrender (unto Him),

مجھ کو یہی حکم ہے کہ بندگی کروں اس شہر کے مالک کی جس نے اس کو حرمت دی اور اسی کی ہے ہر ایک چیز [۱۲۲] اور مجھ کو حکم ہے کہ رہوں حکم برداروں میں [۱۲۳]

وَأَنْ أَتْلُوَا۟ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ ۖ فَمَنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِى لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَقُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ

Wa an atluwal Qur-aana famanih tadaa fa innnamaa yahtadee linafsihee wa man dalla faqul innamaaa ana minal munzireen

And to recite the Qur'an. And whoso goeth right, goeth right only for (the good of) his own soul; and as for him who goeth astray - (Unto him) say: Lo! I am only a warner.

اور یہ کہ سنا دون قرآن [۱۲۴] پھر جو کوئی راہ پر آیا سو راہ پر آئے گا اپنے ہی بھلے کو اور جو کوئی بہکا رہا تو کہدے میں تو یہی ہوں ڈر سنا دینے والا [۱۲۵]

وَقُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ سَيُرِيكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ فَتَعْرِفُونَهَا ۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ

Wa qulil hamdu lillaahi sa yureekum Aayaatihee fata'ri foonahaa; wa maa Rabbuka bighaaflin 'ammaa ta'maloon

And say: Praise be to Allah Who will show you His portents so that ye shall know them. And thy Lord is not unaware of what ye (mortals) do.

اور کہہ تعریف ہے سب اللہ کو [۱۲۶] آگے دکھائے گا تم کو اپنے نمونے تو انکو پہچان لو گے [۱۲۷] اور تیرا رب بے خبر نہیں ان کاموں سے جو تم کرتے ہو [۱۲۸]
