Al-Ankaboot

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ الٓمٓ

Alif-Laaam-Meeem

Alif. Lam. Mim.

الٓم۔

أَحَسِبَ ٱلنَّاسُ أَن يُتْرَكُوٓا۟ أَن يَقُولُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ

Ahasiban naasu anyu yutrakooo any yaqoolooo aamannaa wa hum la yuftanoon

Do men imagine that they will be left (at ease) because they say, We believe, and will not be tested with affliction?

کیا یہ سمجھتے ہیں لوگ کہ چھوٹ جائیں گے اتنا کہہ کر کہ ہم یقین لائے اور ان کو جانچ نہ لیں گے [۱]

وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۖ فَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا۟ وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ

Wa laqad fatannal lazeena min qablihim fala ya'lamannal laahul lazeena sadaqoo wa la ya'lamannal kaazibeen

Lo! We tested those who were before you. Thus Allah knoweth those who are sincere, and knoweth those who feign.

اور ہم نے جانچا ہے ان کو جو ان سے پہلے تھے [۲] سو البتہ معلوم کرے گا اللہ جو لوگ سچے ہیں اور البتہ معلوم کرے گا جھوٹوں کو [۳]

أَمْ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن يَسْبِقُونَا ۚ سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ

Am hasibal lazeena ya'maloonas sayyiaati any yasbiqoonaa; saaa'a maa yahkumoon

Or do those who do ill-deeds imagine that they can outstrip Us? Evil (for them) is that which they decide.

کیا یہ سمجھتے ہیں جو لوگ کہ کرتے ہیں برائیاں کہ ہم سے بچ جائیں بری بات طے کرتے ہیں [۴]

مَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ لِقَآءَ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّ أَجَلَ ٱللَّهِ لَءَاتٍۢ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Man kaana yarjoo liqaaa 'allaahi fa inna ajalal laahi laaat; wa Huwass Sameeul 'Aleem

Whoso looketh forward to the meeting with Allah (let him know that) Allah's reckoning is surely nigh, and He is the Hearer, the Knower.

جو کوئی توقع رکھتا ہے اللہ کی ملاقات کی سو اللہ کا وعدہ آ رہا ہے اور وہ ہے سننے والا جاننے والا [۵]

وَمَن جَٰهَدَ فَإِنَّمَا يُجَٰهِدُ لِنَفْسِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَنِىٌّ عَنِ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Wa man jaahada fainnamaa yujaahidu linafsih; innal laaha laghaniyyun 'anil 'aalameen

And whosoever striveth, striveth only for himself, for lo! Allah is altogether Independent of (His) creatures.

اور جو کوئی محنت اٹھائے سو اٹھاتا ہے اپنے ہی واسطے اللہ کو پروا نہیں جہان والوں کی [۶]

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَنُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَحْسَنَ ٱلَّذِى كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lanukaf firanna 'anhum saiyiaatihim wa lanajziyannahum ahsanal lazee kaanoo ya'maloon

And as for those who believe and do good works, We shall remit from them their evil deeds and shall repay them the best that they did.

اور جو لوگ یقین لائے اور کیے بھلے کام ہم اتار دیں گے ان پر سے برائیاں ان کی اور بدلا دیں گے ان کو بہتر سے بہتر کاموں کا [۷]

وَوَصَّيْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ حُسْنًۭا ۖ وَإِن جَٰهَدَاكَ لِتُشْرِكَ بِى مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَآ ۚ إِلَىَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Wa wassainal insaana biwaalidaihi husnanw wa in jaahadaaka litushrika bee maa laisa laka bihee 'ilmun falaa tuti'humaa; ilaiya marji'ukum fa unabbi'ukum bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

We have enjoined on man kindness to parents; but if they strive to make thee join with Me that of which thou hast no knowledge, then obey them not. Unto Me is your return and I shall tell you what ye used to do.

اور ہم نے تاکید کر دی انسان کو اپنے ماں باپ سے بھلائی سے رہنے کی اور اگر وہ تجھ سے زور کریں کہ تو شریک کرے میرا جس کی تجھ کو خبر نہیں [۸] تو انکا کہنا مت مان [۹] مجھی تک پھر آنا ہے تم کو سو میں بتلا دوں گا تمکو جو کچھ تم کرتے تھے [۱۰]

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَنُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

Wallazeena aamanoo w a'amilus saalihaati lanudkhilan nahum fis saaliheen

And as for those who believe and do good works, We verily shall make them enter in among the righteous.

اور جو لوگ یقین لائے اور بھلے کام کیے ہم ان کو داخل کریں گے نیک لوگوں میں [۱۱]

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ فَإِذَآ أُوذِىَ فِى ٱللَّهِ جَعَلَ فِتْنَةَ ٱلنَّاسِ كَعَذَابِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَئِن جَآءَ نَصْرٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّا كُنَّا مَعَكُمْ ۚ أَوَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِمَا فِى صُدُورِ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Wa minan naasi many yaqoolu aamannaa billaahi faizaaa ooziya fil laahi ja'ala fitnatan naasi ka'azaabil laahi wa la'in jaaa'a nasrum mir Rabbika la yaqoolunna innaa kunnaa ma'akum; awa laisal laahu bi a'lama bimaa fee surdooril 'aalameen

Of mankind is he who saith: We believe in Allah, but, if he be made to suffer for the sake of Allah, he mistaketh the persecution of mankind for Allah's punishment; and then, if victory cometh from thy Lord, will say: Lo! we were with you (all the while). Is not Allah Best Aware of what is in the bosoms of (His) creatures?

اور ایک وہ لوگ ہیں کہ کہتے ہیں یقین لائے ہم اللہ پر پھر جب اس کو ایذا پہنچے اللہ کی راہ میں کرنے لگے لوگوں کے ستانے کو برابر اللہ کے عذاب کے [۱۲] اور اگر آ پہنچے مدد تیرے رب کی طرف سے تو کہنے لگیں ہم تو تمہارے ساتھ ہیں [۱۳] کیا یہ نہیں کہ اللہ خوب خبردار ہے جو کچھ سینوں میں ہے جہان والوں کے [۱۴]

وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ

Wa la ya'lamannal laahul lazeena aamanoo wa la ya'lamannal munaafiqeen

Verily Allah knoweth those who believe, and verily He knoweth the hypocrites.

اور البتہ معلوم کرے گا اللہ ان لوگوں کو جو یقین لائے ہیں اور البتہ معلوم کرے گا جو لوگ دغاباز ہیں [۱۵]

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ سَبِيلَنَا وَلْنَحْمِلْ خَطَٰيَٰكُمْ وَمَا هُم بِحَٰمِلِينَ مِنْ خَطَٰيَٰهُم مِّن شَىْءٍ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ

Wa qaalal lazaeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanut tabi'oo sabeelanaa walnahmil khataayaakum wa maa hum bihaamileena min khataa yaahum min shai'in innahum lakaaziboon

Those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Follow our way (of religion) and we verily will bear your sins (for you). They cannot bear aught of their sins. Lo! they verily are liars.

اور کہنے لگے منکر ایمان والوں کو تم چلو ہماری راہ اور ہم اٹھا لیں تمہارے گناہ [۱۶] اور وہ کچھ نہ اٹھائیں گے ان کے گناہ بیشک وہ جھوٹے ہیں

وَلَيَحْمِلُنَّ أَثْقَالَهُمْ وَأَثْقَالًۭا مَّعَ أَثْقَالِهِمْ ۖ وَلَيُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ عَمَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ

Wa la yahmilunna asqaa lahum wa asqaalam ma'a asqaalihim wa la yus'alunna Yawmal Qiyaamati 'ammaa kaanoo yaftaroon

But they verily will bear their own loads and other loads beside their own, and they verily will be questioned on the Day of Resurrection concerning that which they invented.

اور البتہ اٹھائیں گے اپنے بوجھ اور کتنے بوجھ ساتھ اپنے بوجھ کے [۱۷] اور البتہ ان سے پوچھ ہو گی قیامت کے دن جو باتیں کہ جھوٹ بناتے تھے [۱۸]

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ فَلَبِثَ فِيهِمْ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ إِلَّا خَمْسِينَ عَامًۭا فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلطُّوفَانُ وَهُمْ ظَٰلِمُونَ

Wa laqad arsalnaa Noohan ilaa qawmihee falabisa feehim alfa sanatin illaa khamseena 'aaman fa akhazahumut toofaanu wa hum zaalimoon

And verily we sent Noah (as Our messenger) unto his folk, and he continued with them for a thousand years save fifty years; and the flood engulfed them, for they were wrong-doers.

اور ہم نے بھیجا نوح کو اس کی قوم کے پاس پھر رہا ان میں ہزار برس پچاس برس کم [۱۹] پھر پکڑا ان کو طوفان نے اور وہ گنہگار تھے [۲۰]

فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ وَأَصْحَٰبَ ٱلسَّفِينَةِ وَجَعَلْنَٰهَآ ءَايَةًۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Fa anjainaahu wa as haabas safeenati wa ja'alnaahaaa Aayatal lil'aalameen

And We rescued him and those with him in the ship, and made of it a portent for the peoples.

پھر بچا دیا ہم نے اسکو اور جہاز والوں کو [۲۱] اور رکھا ہم نے جہاز کو نشانی جہاں والوں کے واسطے [۲۲]

وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ ۖ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

Wa Ibraheema iz qaala liqawmihi' budul laaha wattaqoohu zaalikum khayrul lakum in kuntum ta'lamoon

And Abraham! (Remember) when he said unto his folk: Serve Allah, and keep your duty unto Him; that is better for you if ye did but know.

اور ابراہیم کو جب کہا اس نے اپنی قوم کو بندگی کرو اللہ کی اور ڈرتے رہو اس سے یہ بہتر ہے تمہارے حق میں اگر تم سمجھ رکھتے ہو

إِنَّمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْثَٰنًۭا وَتَخْلُقُونَ إِفْكًا ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ لَكُمْ رِزْقًۭا فَٱبْتَغُوا۟ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرِّزْقَ وَٱعْبُدُوهُ وَٱشْكُرُوا۟ لَهُۥٓ ۖ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

Innamaa ta'ubdoona min doonil laahi awsaananw-wa takhluqoona ifkaa; innal lazeena ta'budoona min doonil laahi laa yamlikoona lakum rizqan fabtaghoo 'indal laahir rizqa fabtaghoo 'indal laahir rizqa wa'budoohu washkuroo lahooo ilaihi turja'oon

Ye serve instead of Allah only idols, and ye only invent a lie. Lo! those whom ye serve instead of Allah own no provision for you. So seek your provision from Allah, and serve Him, and give thanks unto Him, (for) unto Him ye will be brought back.

تم تو پوجتے ہو اللہ کے سوائے یہ بتوں کے تھان اور بناتے ہو جھوٹی باتیں [۲۳] بیشک جن کو تم پوجتے ہو اللہ کے سوائے وہ مالک نہیں تمہاری روزی کے سو تم ڈھونڈو اللہ کے یہاں روزی اور اس کی بندگی کرو اور اس کا حق مانو اسی کی طرف پھر جاؤ گے [۲۴]

وَإِن تُكَذِّبُوا۟ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَ أُمَمٌۭ مِّن قَبْلِكُمْ ۖ وَمَا عَلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

Wa in tukazziboo faqad kazzaba umamum min qablikum wa maa'alar Rasooli illal balaaghul mubeen

But if ye deny, then nations have denied before you. The messenger is only to convey (the message) plainly.

اور اگر تم جھٹلاؤ گے تو جھٹلا چکے ہیں بہت فرقے تم سے پہلے اور رسول کا ذمہ تو بس یہی ہے پیغام پہنچا دینا کھول کر [۲۵]

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَيْفَ يُبْدِئُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌۭ

Awa lam yaraw kaifa yubdi'ul laahul khalqa summa yu'eeduh; inna zaalika 'alal laahi yaseer

See they not how Allah produceth creation, then reproduceth it? Lo! for Allah that is easy.

کیا دیکھتے نہیں کیونکر شروع کرتا ہے اللہ پیدائش کو پھر اس کو دہرائے گا [۲۶] یہ اللہ پر آسان ہے [۲۷]

قُلْ سِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ بَدَأَ ٱلْخَلْقَ ۚ ثُمَّ ٱللَّهُ يُنشِئُ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ

Qul seeroo fil ardi fanzuroo kaifa baa al khalqa summal laahu yunshi''un nash atal Aakhirah; innal laaha 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer

Say (O Muhammad): Travel in the land and see how He originated creation, then Allah bringeth forth the later growth. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things.

تو کہہ ملک میں پھرو پھر دیکھو کیونکر شروع کیا ہے پیدائش کو پھر اللہ اٹھائے گا پچھلا اٹھان [۲۸] بیشک اللہ ہر چیز کر سکتا ہے

يُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَرْحَمُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ تُقْلَبُونَ

Yu'azzibu many yashaaa'u wa yarhamu many yashaaa'; wa ilaihi tuqlaboon

He punisheth whom He will and showeth mercy unto whom He will, and unto Him ye will be turned.

دکھ دے گا جس کو چاہے اور رحم کرے گا جس پر چاہے [۲۹] اور اسی کی طرف پھر جاؤ گے

وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۖ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّۢ وَلَا نَصِيرٍۢ

Wa maaa antum bimu'jizeena fil ardi wa laa fissamaaa'i wa maa lakum min doonil laahi minw waliyyinw wa laa naseer

Ye cannot escape (from Him) in the earth or in the sky, and beside Allah there is for you no friend or helper.

اور تم عاجز کرنے والے نہیں زمین میں اور نہ آسمان میں اور کوئی نہیں تمہارا اللہ سے ورے حمایتی اور نہ مددگار [۳۰]

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِقَآئِهِۦٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَئِسُوا۟ مِن رَّحْمَتِى وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ

Wallazeena kafaroo bi Aayaatil laahi wa liqaaa'iheee ulaaa'ika ya'isoo mir rahmatee wa ulaaa'ika lahum 'azaabun aleem

Those who disbelieve in the revelations of Allah and in (their) Meeting with Him, such have no hope of My mercy. For such there is a painful doom.

اور جو لوگ منکر ہوئے اللہ کی باتوں سے اور اس کے ملنے سے وہ ناامید ہوئے میری رحمت سے [۳۱] اور ان کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے

فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ ٱقْتُلُوهُ أَوْ حَرِّقُوهُ فَأَنجَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Famaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaaluqtuloohu aw harriqoohu faanjaahul laahu minan naar; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil laqawminy yu'minoon

But the answer of his folk was only that they said: "Kill him" or "Burn him." Then Allah saved him from the Fire. Lo! herein verily are portents for folk who believe.

پھر کچھ جواب نہ تھا اس کی قوم کا مگر یہی کہ بولے اس کو مار ڈالو یا جلا دو [۳۲] پھر اس کو بچا دیا اللہ نے آگ سے [۳۳] اس میں بڑی نشانیاں ہیں ان لوگوں کے لیے جو یقین لاتے ہیں [۳۴]

وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا ٱتَّخَذْتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْثَٰنًۭا مَّوَدَّةَ بَيْنِكُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ ثُمَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ يَكْفُرُ بَعْضُكُم بِبَعْضٍۢ وَيَلْعَنُ بَعْضُكُم بَعْضًۭا وَمَأْوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ

Wa qaala innamat takhaz tum min doonil laahi awsaanam mawaddata bainikum fil hayaatid dunyaa summa yawmal qiyaamati yakfuru ba'dukum biba 'dinw wa yal'anu ba'dukum ba'danw-wa yal'anu ba'dukum ba'danw wa maa waakumun Naaru wa maa lakum min naasireen

He said: Ye have chosen only idols instead of Allah. The love between you is only in the life of the world. Then on the Day of Resurrection ye will deny each other and curse each other, and your abode will be the Fire, and ye will have no helpers.

اور ابراہیم بولا [۳۵] جو ٹھہرائے ہیں تم نے اللہ کے سوائے بتوں کے تھان سو دوستی کر کر آپس میں دنیا کی زندگانی میں [۳۶] پھر دن قیامت کے منکر ہو جاؤ گے ایک سے ایک اور لعنت کرو گے ایک کو ایک [۳۷] اور ٹھکانا تمہارا آگ ہے اور کوئی نہیں تمہارا مددگار [۳۸]

۞ فَـَٔامَنَ لَهُۥ لُوطٌۭ ۘ وَقَالَ إِنِّى مُهَاجِرٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّىٓ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

Fa aamana lahoo Loot; wa qaala innee mauhajirun ilaa Rabbee innahoo Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem

And Lot believed him, and said: Lo! I am a fugitive unto my Lord. Lo! He, only He, is the Mighty, the Wise.

پھر مان لیا اس کو لوط نے اور وہ بولا میں تو وطن چھوڑتا ہوں اپنے رب کی طرف بیشک وہی ہے زبردست حکمت والا [۳۹]

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِى ذُرِّيَّتِهِ ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ أَجْرَهُۥ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

Wa wahabnaa lahoo Ishaaqa wa Ya'Qooba wa ja'alnaa fee zurriyyatihin Nubuwwata wal Kitaaba wa aatainaahu ajrahoo fid dunyaa wa innahoo fil aakhirati laminas saaliheen

And We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and We established the prophethood and the Scripture among his seed, and We gave him his reward in the world, and lo! in the Hereafter he verily is among the righteous.

اور دیا ہم نے اس کو اسحٰق اور یعقوب [۴۰] اور رکھ دی اس کی اولاد میں پیغمبری اور کتاب [۴۱] اور دیا ہم نے اس کو اس کا ثواب دنیا میں اور وہ آخرت میں البتہ نیکوں سے ہے [۴۲]

وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ ٱلْفَٰحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُم بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Wa Lootan iz qaala liqawmiheee innakum laatoonal faahishata maa sabaqakum bihaa min ahadim minal 'aalameen

And Lot! (Remember) when he said unto his folk: Lo! ye commit lewdness such as no creature did before you.

اور بھیجا لوط کو جب کہا اپنی قوم کو تم آتے ہو بیحیائی کے کام پر تم سے پہلے نہیں کیا وہ کسی نے جہان میں [۴۳]

أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ ٱلرِّجَالَ وَتَقْطَعُونَ ٱلسَّبِيلَ وَتَأْتُونَ فِى نَادِيكُمُ ٱلْمُنكَرَ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ ٱئْتِنَا بِعَذَابِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

A'innakum lataatoonar rijaala wa taqta'oonas sabeela wa taatoona fee naadekumul munkara famaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaalu' tinaaa bi'azaabil laahi in kunta minas saadiqeen

For come ye not in unto males, and cut ye not the road (for travellers), and commit ye not abomination in your meetings? But the answer of his folk was only that they said: Bring Allah's doom upon us if thou art a truthteller!

کیا تم دوڑتے ہو مردوں پر اور راہ مارتے ہو [۴۴] اور کرتے ہو اپنی مجلس میں برا کام [۴۵] پھر کچھ جواب نہ تھا اس کی قوم کا مگر یہی کہ بولے لے آ ہم پر عذاب ا للہ کا اگر تو ہے سچا [۴۶]

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱنصُرْنِى عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

Qaala Rabbin surnee 'alal qawmil mufsideen

He said: My Lord! Give me victory over folk who work corruption.

بولا اے رب میری مدد کر ان شریر لوگوں پر [۴۷]

وَلَمَّا جَآءَتْ رُسُلُنَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ بِٱلْبُشْرَىٰ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا مُهْلِكُوٓا۟ أَهْلِ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ۖ إِنَّ أَهْلَهَا كَانُوا۟ ظَٰلِمِينَ

Wa lammaa jaaa'at Rusulunaaa Ibraaheema bil bushraa qaalooo innaa muhlikoo ahli haazihil qaryati inna ahlahaa kaanoo zaalimeen

And when Our messengers brought Abraham the good news, they said: Lo! we are about to destroy the people of that township, for its people are wrong-doers.

اور جب پہنچے ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے ابراہیم کےپاس خوشخبری لے کر بولے ہم کو غارت کرنا ہے اس بستی والوں کو بیشک اس کے لوگ ہور رہے ہیں گنہگار [۴۸]

قَالَ إِنَّ فِيهَا لُوطًۭا ۚ قَالُوا۟ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن فِيهَا ۖ لَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُۥ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ كَانَتْ مِنَ ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ

Qaala inna feeha Lootaa; qaaloo nahnu a'lamu biman feehaa lanunajjjiyannahoo wa ahlahooo illam ra atahoo kaanat minal ghaabireen

He said: Lo! Lot is there. They said: We are best aware of who is there. We are to deliver him and his household, all save his wife, who is of those who stay behind.

بولا اس میں تو لوط بھی ہے [۴۹] وہ بولے ہم کو خوب معلوم ہے جو کوئی اس میں ہے ہم بچا لیں گے اسکو اور اس کے گھر والوں کو مگر اس کی عورت کہ رہے گی رہ جانے والوں میں [۵۰]

وَلَمَّآ أَن جَآءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًۭا سِىٓءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًۭا وَقَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ ۖ إِنَّا مُنَجُّوكَ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَكَ كَانَتْ مِنَ ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ

Wa lammaaa an jaaa'at Rusulunaa Lootan seee'a bihim wa daaqa bihim zar'anw wa qaaloo laa takhaf wa laa tahzan innaa munajjooka wa ahlaka illam ra ataka kaanat minal ghaabireen

And when Our messengers came unto Lot, he was troubled upon their account, for he could not protect them; but they said: Fear not, nor grieve! Lo! we are to deliver thee and thy household, (all) save thy wife, who is of those who stay behind.

اور جب پہنچے ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے لوط کے پاس ناخوش ہوا ان کو دیکھ کر اور تنگ ہوا دل میں [۵۱] اور وہ بولے مت ڈر اور غم نہ کھا ہم بچائیں گے تجھ کو اور تیرے گھر کو مگر عورت تیری رہ گئ رہ جانے والوں میں

إِنَّا مُنزِلُونَ عَلَىٰٓ أَهْلِ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ رِجْزًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْسُقُونَ

Innaa munziloona 'alaaa ahli haazihil qaryati rijzam minas samaaa'i bimaa kaanoo yafsuqoon

Lo! We are about to bring down upon the folk of this township a fury from the sky because they are evil-livers.

ہم کو اتارنی ہے اس بستی والوں پر ایک آفت آسمان سے اس بات پر کہ وہ نافرمان ہو رہے تھے [۵۲]

وَلَقَد تَّرَكْنَا مِنْهَآ ءَايَةًۢ بَيِّنَةًۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ

Wa laqat taraknaa min haaa aayatam baiyinatal liqawminy ya'qiloon

And verily of that We have left a clear sign for people who have sense.

اور چھوڑ رکھا ہم نے اس کا نشان نظر آتا ہوا سمجھ دار لوگوں کے واسطے [۵۳]

وَإِلَىٰ مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًۭا فَقَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱرْجُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلْءَاخِرَ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ

Wa ilaa Madyana akhaahum Shu'ayban faqaala yaa qawmi'-budul laaha warjul yawmal aakhira wa laa ta'saw fil ardi mufsideen

And unto Midian We sent Shu'eyb, their brother. He said: O my people! Serve Allah, and look forward to the Last Day, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth.

اور بھیجا مدین کے پاس ان کے بھائی شعیب کو پھر بولا اے قوم بندگی کرو اللہ کی اور توقع رکھو پچھلے دن کی [۵۴] اور مت پھرو زمین میں خرابی مچاتے [۵۵]

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلرَّجْفَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ فِى دَارِهِمْ جَٰثِمِينَ

Fakazzaboohu fa akhazat humur rajfatu fa asbahoo fee daarihim jaasimeen

But they denied him, and the dreadful earthquake took them, and morning found them prostrate in their dwelling place.

پھر اس کو جھٹلایا تو پکڑ لیا انکو زلزلے نے پھر صبح کو رہ گئے اپنے گھروں میں اوندھے پڑے

وَعَادًۭا وَثَمُودَا۟ وَقَد تَّبَيَّنَ لَكُم مِّن مَّسَٰكِنِهِمْ ۖ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَكَانُوا۟ مُسْتَبْصِرِينَ

Wa 'Aadanw wa Samooda wa qat tabaiyana lakum mim masaakinihim wa zaiyana lahumush Shaitaanu a'maalahum fasaddahum 'anis sabeeli wa kaanoo mustabsireen

And (the tribes of) A'ad and Thamud! (Their fate) is manifest unto you from their (ruined and deserted) dwellings. Satan made their deeds seem fair unto them and so debarred them from the Way, though they were keen observers.

اور ہلاک کیا عاد کو اور ثمود کو اور تم پر حال کھل چکا ہے ان کے گھروں سے [۵۶] اور فریفتہ کیا انکو شیطان نے ان کے کاموں پر پھر روک دیا ان کو راہ سے اور تھے ہوشیار [۵۷]

وَقَٰرُونَ وَفِرْعَوْنَ وَهَٰمَٰنَ ۖ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مُّوسَىٰ بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ سَٰبِقِينَ

Wa Qaaroona wa Fir'awna wa haamaana wa laqad jaaa'ahum Moosa bilbaiyinaati fastakbaroo fil ardi wa maa kaanoo saabiqeen

And Korah, Pharaoh and Haman! Moses came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but they were boastful in the land. And they were not winners (in the race).

اور ہلاک کیا قارون اور فرعون اور ہامان کو اور ان کے پاس پہنچا موسٰی کھلی نشانیاں لے کر پھر بڑائی کرنے لگے ملک میں اور نہیں تھے ہم سے جیت جانے والے [۵۸]

فَكُلًّا أَخَذْنَا بِذَنۢبِهِۦ ۖ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ حَاصِبًۭا وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَخَذَتْهُ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ خَسَفْنَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَغْرَقْنَا ۚ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ

Fakullan akhaznaa bizam bihee faminhum man arsalnaa 'alaihi haasibaa; wa minhum man akhazat hus saihatu wa minhum man khasafnaa bihil arda wa minhum man aghraqnaa; wa maa kaanal laahu li yazlimahum wa laakin kaanoo anfusahum yazlimoon

So We took each one in his sin; of them was he on whom We sent a hurricane, and of them was he who was overtaken by the (Awful) Cry, and of them was he whom We caused the earth to swallow, and of them was he whom We drowned. It was not for Allah to wrong them, but they wronged themselves.

پھر سب کو پکڑ ا ہم نے اپنے اپنے گناہ پر [۵۹] پھر کوئی تھا کہ اس پر ہم نے بھیجا پتھراؤ ہوا سے [۶۰] اور کوئی تھا کہ اس کو پکڑا چنگھاڑ نے [۶۱] اور کوئی تھا کہ اس کو دھنسا دیا ہم نے زمین میں [۶۲] اور کوئی تھا کہ اس کو ڈبا دیا ہم نے [۶۳] اور اللہ ایسا نہ تھا کہ ان پر ظلم کرے پر تھے وہ اپنا آپ ہی برا کرتے [۶۴]

مَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْلِيَآءَ كَمَثَلِ ٱلْعَنكَبُوتِ ٱتَّخَذَتْ بَيْتًۭا ۖ وَإِنَّ أَوْهَنَ ٱلْبُيُوتِ لَبَيْتُ ٱلْعَنكَبُوتِ ۖ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ

Masalul lazeenat takhazoo min doonil laahi awliyaaa'a kamasalil 'ankaboot, ittakhazat baitaa; wa inna awhanal buyooti la baitul 'ankaboot; law kaanoo ya'lamoon

The likeness of those who choose other patrons than Allah is as the likeness of the spider when she taketh unto herself a house, and lo! the frailest of all houses is the spider's house, if they but knew.

مثال ان لوگوں کی جنہوں نے پکڑے اللہ کو چھوڑ کر اور حمایتی جیسے مکڑی کی مثال بنا لیا اس نے ایک گھر اور سب گھروں میں بودا سو مکڑی کا گھر اگر ان کو سمجھ ہوتی [۶۵]

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مِن شَىْءٍۢ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

Innal laaha ya'lamu maa yad'oona min doonihee min shai'; wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem

Lo! Allah knoweth what thing they invoke instead of Him. He is the Mighty, the Wise.

اللہ جانتا ہے جس جس کو وہ پکارتے ہیں اس کے سوائے کوئی چیز ہو [۶۶] اور وہ زبردست ہے حکمتوں والا [۶۷]

وَتِلْكَ ٱلْأَمْثَٰلُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ ۖ وَمَا يَعْقِلُهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْعَٰلِمُونَ

Wa tilkal amsaalu nadribuhaa linnaasi wa maa ya'qiluhaaa illal 'aalimoon

As for these similitudes, We coin them for mankind, but none will grasp their meaning save the wise.

اور یہ مثالیں بٹھلاتے ہیں ہم لوگوں کے واسطے اور ان کو سمجھتے وہی ہیں جن کو سمجھ ہے [۶۸]

خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Khalaqal laahus samaawaati wal arda bilhaqq; inna fee zaalika la aayatal lilmu mineen

Allah created the heavens and the earth with truth. Lo! therein is indeed a portent for believers.

اللہ نے بنائے آسمان اور زمین جیسے چاہئیں [۶۹] اس میں نشانی ہے یقین لانے والوں کے لئے [۷۰]

ٱتْلُ مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ تَنْهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلْفَحْشَآءِ وَٱلْمُنكَرِ ۗ وَلَذِكْرُ ٱللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ

Utlu maaa oohiya ilaika mional Kitaabi wa aqimis Salaata innas Salaata tanhaa 'anil fahshaaa'i wal munkar; wa lazikrul laahi akbar; wal laahu ya'lamu maa tasna'oon

Recite that which hath been inspired in thee of the Scripture, and establish worship. Lo! worship preserveth from lewdness and iniquity, but verily remembrance of Allah is more important. And Allah knoweth what ye do.

تو پڑھ جو اتری تیری طرف کتاب [۷۱] اور قائم رکھ نماز بیشک نماز روکتی ہے بیحیائی اور بری بات سے [۷۲] اور اللہ کی یاد ہے سب سے بڑی [۷۳] اور اللہ کو خبر ہے جو تم کرتے ہو [۷۴]

۞ وَلَا تُجَٰدِلُوٓا۟ أَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ إِلَّا بِٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَقُولُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَأُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَإِلَٰهُنَا وَإِلَٰهُكُمْ وَٰحِدٌۭ وَنَحْنُ لَهُۥ مُسْلِمُونَ

Wa laa tujaadilooo Ahlal Kitaabi illaa billatee hiya ahsanu illal lazeena zalamoo minhum wa qoolooo aamannaa billazeee unzila ilainaa wa unzila ilaikum wa illaahunna wa illahukum waahidunw-wa nahnu lahoo muslimoon

And argue not with the People of the Scripture unless it be in (a way) that is better, save with such of them as do wrong; and say: We believe in that which hath been revealed unto us and revealed unto you; our Allah and your Allah is One, and unto Him we surrender.

اور جھگڑا نہ کرو اہل کتاب سے مگر اس طرح پر جو بہتر ہو مگر جو ان میں بے انصاف ہیں [۷۵] اور یوں کہو کہ ہم مانتے ہیں جو اترا ہم کو اور اترا تم کو [۷۶] اور بندگی ہماری اور تمہاری ایک ہی کو ہے اور ہم اسی کے حکم پر چلتے ہیں [۷۷]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ۚ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ ۖ وَمِنْ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِهِۦ ۚ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

Wa kazaalika anzalnaaa ilaikal Kitaab; fallazeena aatainaahumul kitaaba yu'minoona bihee wa min haaa'ulaaa'i many yu'minu bih; wa maa yajhadu bi'Aayaatinaa illal kaafiroon

In like manner We have revealed unto thee the Scripture, and those unto whom We gave the Scripture aforetime will believe therein; and of these (also) there are some who believe therein. And none deny Our revelations save the disbelievers.

اور ویسی ہی ہم نے اتاری تجھ پر کتاب [۷۸] سو جن کو ہم نے کتاب دی ہے وہ اس کو مانتے ہیں اور ان مکہ والوں میں بھی بعضے ہیں کہ اس کو مانتے ہیں اور منکر وہی ہیں ہماری باتوں سے جو نافرمان ہیں [۷۹]

وَمَا كُنتَ تَتْلُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِهِۦ مِن كِتَٰبٍۢ وَلَا تَخُطُّهُۥ بِيَمِينِكَ ۖ إِذًۭا لَّٱرْتَابَ ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ

Wa maa kunta tatloo min qablihee min kitaabinw wa laa takhuttubhoo bi yameenika izal lartaabal mubtiloon

And thou (O Muhammad) wast not a reader of any scripture before it, nor didst thou write it with thy right hand, for then might those have doubted, who follow falsehood.

اور تو پڑھتا نہ تھا اس سے پہلے کوئی کتاب اور نہ لکھتا تھا اپنے داہنے ہاتھ سے تب تو البتہ شبہ میں پڑتے یہ جھوٹے [۸۰]

بَلْ هُوَ ءَايَٰتٌۢ بَيِّنَٰتٌۭ فِى صُدُورِ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ ۚ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَّا ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ

Bal huwa aayaatum baiyinaatun fee sudooril lazeena ootul 'ilm; wa maa yajhadu bi aayaatinaa illaz zaalimoon

But it is clear revelations in the hearts of those who have been given knowledge, and none deny Our revelations save wrong-doers.

بلکہ یہ قرآن تو آیتیں ہیں صاف ان لوگوں کے سینوں میں جن کو ملی ہے سمجھ [۸۱] اور منکر نہیں ہماری باتوں سے مگر وہی جو بے انصاف ہیں [۸۲]

وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا ٱلْءَايَٰتُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌ

Wa qaaloo law laaa unzila 'alaihi aayaatum mir Rabbihee qul innamal aayaatu 'indal laahi wa innamaaa ana nazeerum mubeen

And they say: Why are not portents sent down upon him from his Lord? Say: Portents are with Allah only, and I am but a plain warner.

اور کہتے ہیں کیوں نہ اتریں اس پر کچھ نشانیاں اس کے رب سے تو کہہ نشانیاں تو ہیں اختیار میں اللہ کے اور میں تو بس سنا دینے والا ہوں کھول کر [۸۳]

أَوَلَمْ يَكْفِهِمْ أَنَّآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَرَحْمَةًۭ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِقَوْمٍۢ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Awa lam yakfihim annaaa anzalnaa 'alaikal kitaaba yutlaa 'alaikhim; inna fee zaalika larahmatanw wa zikraa liqawminy yu'minoon

Is it not enough for them that We have sent down unto thee the Scripture which is read unto them? Lo! herein verily is mercy, and a reminder for folk who believe.

کیا ان کو یہ کافی نہیں کہ ہم نے تجھ پر اتاری کتاب کہ ان پر پڑھی جاتی ہے بیشک اس میں رحمت ہے اور سمجھانا ان لوگوں کو جو مانتے ہیں [۸۴]

قُلْ كَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ شَهِيدًۭا ۖ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ وَكَفَرُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ

Qul kafaa billaahi bainee wa bainakum shaheedaa; ya'lamu maa fis samaawaati wal ard; wallazeena aamanoo bil baatili wa kafaroo billaahi ulaaa'ika humul khaasiroon

Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Allah sufficeth for witness between me and you. He knoweth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those who believe in vanity and disbelieve in Allah, they it is who are the losers.

تو کہہ کافی ہے اللہ میرے اور تمہارے بیچ گواہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ ہے آسمان اور زمین میں [۸۵] اور جو لوگ یقین لاتے ہیں جھوٹ پر اور منکر ہوئے ہیں اللہ سے وہی ہیں نقصان پانے والے [۸۶]

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلْعَذَابِ ۚ وَلَوْلَآ أَجَلٌۭ مُّسَمًّۭى لَّجَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَلَيَأْتِيَنَّهُم بَغْتَةًۭ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

Wa yasta'jiloonaka bil'azaab; wa law laaa ajalum musammal lajaaa'ahumul 'zaab; wa la yaatiyannahum baghta tanw wa hum laa yash'uroon

They bid thee hasten on the doom (of Allah). And if a term had not been appointed, the doom would assuredly have come unto them (ere now). And verily it will come upon them suddenly when they perceive not.

اور جلد مانگتے ہیں تجھ سے آفت [۸۷] اور اگر نہ ہوتا ایک وعدہ مقررہ تو آ پہنچتی ان پر آفت اور البتہ آئے گی ان پر اچانک اور ان کو خبر نہ ہو گی [۸۸]

يَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلْعَذَابِ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌۢ بِٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

Yasta'jiloonak bil'azaab; wa inna Jahannama lamuhee tatum bilkaafireen

They bid thee hasten on the doom, when lo! hell verily will encompass the disbelievers

جلدی مانگتے ہیں تجھ سے عذاب [۸۹] اور دوزخ گھیر رہی ہے مجرموں کو [۹۰]

يَوْمَ يَغْشَىٰهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِمْ وَيَقُولُ ذُوقُوا۟ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Yawma yaghshaahumul 'azaabu min fawqihim wa min tahti arjulim wa yaqoolu zooqoo maa kuntum ta'maloon

On the day when the doom will overwhelm them from above them and from underneath their feet, and He will say: Taste what ye used to do!

جس دن گھیر لے گا ان کو عذاب ان کے اوپر سے اور پاؤں کے نیچے سے اور کہے گا چکھو جیسا کچھ تم کرتے تھے [۹۱]

يَٰعِبَادِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ أَرْضِى وَٰسِعَةٌۭ فَإِيَّٰىَ فَٱعْبُدُونِ

Yaa 'ibaadiyal lazeena aamanooo inna ardee waasi 'atun fa iyyaaya fa'budoon

O my bondmen who believe! Lo! My earth is spacious. Therefor serve Me only.

اے بندو میرے جو یقین لائے ہو میری زمین کشادہ ہے سو مجھی کو بندگی کر و [۹۲]

كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ

Kullu nafsin zaaa'iqatul mawti summa ilainaa turja'oon

Every soul will taste of death. Then unto Us ye will be returned.

جو جی ہے سو چکھے گا موت پھر ہماری طرف پھر آؤ گے [۹۳]

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُم مِّنَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ غُرَفًۭا تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ نِعْمَ أَجْرُ ٱلْعَٰمِلِينَ

Wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati la nubawwi 'annahum minal Jannati ghurafan tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaa; ni'ma ajrul 'aamileen

Those who believe and do good works, them verily We shall house in lofty dwellings of the Garden underneath which rivers flow. There they will dwell secure. How sweet the guerdon of the toilers,

اور جو لوگ یقین لائے اور کیے بھلے کام ان کو ہم جگہ دیں گے بہشت میں جھروکے نیچے بہتی ہیں ان کےنہریں سدا رہیں ان میں خوب ثواب ملا کام والوں کو

ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا۟ وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

Allazeena sabaroo wa 'alaa Rabbihim yatawakkaloon

Who persevere, and put their trust in their Lord!

جنہوں نے صبر کیا اور اپنے رب پر بھروسہ رکھا [۹۴]

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن دَآبَّةٍۢ لَّا تَحْمِلُ رِزْقَهَا ٱللَّهُ يَرْزُقُهَا وَإِيَّاكُمْ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Wa ka ayyim min daaabbatil laa tahmilu riqqahaa; al laahu yarzuquhaa wa iyyaakum; wa Huwas Samee'ul Aleem

And how many an animal there is that beareth not its own provision! Allah provideth for it and for you. He is the Hearer, the Knower.

اور کتنے جانور ہیں جو اٹھا نہیں رکھتے اپنی روزی اللہ روزی دیتا ہے انکو اور تم کو بھی اور وہی ہے سننے والا جاننے والا [۹۵]

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ

Wa la'in sa altahum man khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa sakhkharash shamsa wal qamara la yaqoolunnal laahu fa ann yu'fakoon

And if thou wert to ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth, and constrained the sun and the moon (to their appointed work)? they would say: Allah. How then are they turned away?

اور اگر تو لوگوں سے پوچھے کہ کس نے بنایا ہے آسمان اور زمین کو اور کام میں لگایا سورج اور چاند کو تو کہیں اللہ نے پھر کہاں سے الٹ جاتے ہیں [۹۶]

ٱللَّهُ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيَقْدِرُ لَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌۭ

Allaahu yabsutur rizqa limany yashaaa'u min 'ibaadihee wa yaqdiru lah; innal laaha bikulli shai'in Aleem

Allah maketh the provision wide for whom He will of His bondmen, and straiteneth it for whom (He will). Lo! Allah is Aware of all things.

اللہ پھیلاتا ہے روزی جس کے واسطے چاہے اپنے بندوں میں اور ماپ کر دیتا ہے جسکو چاہے [۹۷] بیشک اللہ ہر چیز سے خبردار ہے [۹۸]

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّن نَّزَّلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَوْتِهَا لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ ۚ قُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ

Wa la'in sa altahum man nazzala minas samaaa'e maaa'an fa ahyaa bihil arda mim ba'di mawtihaa la yaqoolunnal laah; qulil hamdu lillah; bal aksaruhum laa ya'qiloon

And if thou wert to ask them: Who causeth water to come down from the sky, and therewith reviveth the earth after its death? they verily would say: Allah. Say: Praise be to Allah! But most of them have no sense.

اور جو تو پوچھے ان سے کس نے اتارا آسمان سے پانی پھر زندہ کر دیا اس سے زمین کو اس کے مرجانے کے بعد تو کہیں اللہ نے تو کہہ سب خوبی اللہ کو ہے پر بہت لوگ نہیں سمجھتے [۹۹]

وَمَا هَٰذِهِ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا لَهْوٌۭ وَلَعِبٌۭ ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱلدَّارَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ لَهِىَ ٱلْحَيَوَانُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ

Wa maa haazihil hayaa tud dunyaaa illaa lahwunw-wa la'ib; wa innad Daaral Aakhirata la hiyal ha yawaan; law kaano ya'lamoon

This life of the world is but a pastime and a game. Lo! the home of the Hereafter - that is Life, if they but knew.

اور یہ دنیا کا جینا تو بس جی بہلانا اور کھیلنا ہے اور پچھلا گھر جو ہے سو وہی ہے زندہ رہنا اگر ان کو سمجھ ہوتی [۱۰۰]

فَإِذَا رَكِبُوا۟ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّىٰهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْبَرِّ إِذَا هُمْ يُشْرِكُونَ

Fa-izaa rakiboo fil fulki da'awul laaha mukhilseena lahud deena falammaa najjaa hum ilal baari izaa hum yushrikoon

And when they mount upon the ships they pray to Allah, making their faith pure for Him only, but when He bringeth them safe to land, behold! they ascribe partners (unto Him),

پھر جب سوار ہوئے کشتی میں پکارنے لگے اللہ کو خالص اسی پر رکھ کر اعتقاد پھر جب بچا لایا انکو زمین کی طرف اسی وقت لگے شریک بنانے

لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ وَلِيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ

Li yakfuroo bimaaa aatainaahum wa li yatamatta'oo fasaw fa ya'lamoon

That they may disbelieve in that which We have given them, and that they may take their ease. But they will come to know.

تاکہ مکرتے رہیں ہمارے دیے ہوئے سے اور مزے اڑاتے رہیں سو عنقریب جان لیں گے [۱۰۱]

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا جَعَلْنَا حَرَمًا ءَامِنًۭا وَيُتَخَطَّفُ ٱلنَّاسُ مِنْ حَوْلِهِمْ ۚ أَفَبِٱلْبَٰطِلِ يُؤْمِنُونَ وَبِنِعْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ يَكْفُرُونَ

Awalam yaraw annaa ja'alnaa haraman aaminanw wa yutakhattafun naasu min haw lihim; afabil baatili yu'minoona wa bini'matil laahi yakfuroon

Have they not seen that We have appointed a sanctuary immune (from violence), while mankind are ravaged all around them? Do they then believe in falsehood and disbelieve in the bounty of Allah?

کیا نہیں دیکھتے کہ ہم نے رکھ دی ہے پناہ کی جگہ امن کی اور لوگ اچکے جاتے ہیں ان کے آس پاس سے کیاجھوٹ پر یقین رکھتے ہیں اور اللہ کا احسان نہیں مانتے [۱۰۲]

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُۥٓ ۚ أَلَيْسَ فِى جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًۭى لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ

Wa man azlamu mimma nif taraa 'alal laahi kaziban aw kazzaba bilhaqqi lammaa jaaa'ah; alaisa fee jahannama maswal lil kaafireen

Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah, or denieth the truth when it cometh unto him? Is not there a home in hell for disbelievers?

اور اس سے زیادہ بے انصاف کون جو باندھے اللہ پر جھوٹ یا جھٹلائے سچی بات کو جب اس تک پہنچے کیا دوزخ میں بسنے کی جگہ نہیں منکروں کے لئے [۱۰۳]

وَٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُوا۟ فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَمَعَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Wallazeena jaahadoo feenaa lanahdiyannahum subulana; wa innal laaha lama'al muhsineen

As for those who strive in Us, We surely guide them to Our paths, and lo! Allah is with the good.

اور جنہوں نے محنت کی ہمارے واسطے ہم سجھا دیں گے ان کو اپنی راہیں [۱۰۴] اور بیشک اللہ ساتھ ہے نیکی والوں کے [۱۰۵]
