Luqman

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ الٓمٓ

Alif-Laaam-Meeem

Alif. Lam. Mim.

الٓم۔

تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ

Tilka Aayaatul Kitaabil Hakeem

These are revelations of the wise Scripture,

یہ آیتیں ہیں پکی کتاب کی

هُدًۭى وَرَحْمَةًۭ لِّلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Hudanw wa rahmatal lilmuhsineen

A guidance and a mercy for the good,

ہدایت ہے اور مہربانی نیکی کرنے والوں کے لئے [۱]

ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ

Allazeena yuqeemoonas Salaata wa yu'toonaz Zakaata wa hum bil Aakhirati hum yooqinoon

Those who establish worship and pay the poor-due and have sure faith in the Hereafter.

جو کہ قائم رکھتے ہیں نماز اور دیتے ہیں زکوٰۃ اور وہ ہیں جو آخرت پر ان کو یقین ہے

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًۭى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ

Ulaaa'ika 'alaa hudam mir Rabbihim wa ulaaa'ika humul muflihoon

Such have guidance from their Lord. Such are the successful.

انہوں نے پائی ہے راہ اپنے رب کی طرف سےاور وہی مردا کو پہنچے [۲]

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِى لَهْوَ ٱلْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ مُّهِينٌۭ

Wa minan naasi mai-yashtaree lahuwal hadeesi li yudilla 'an sabeelil laahi bighairi 'ilminw wa yattakhizahaa huzuwaa; ulaaa'ika lahum 'azaabum muheen

And of mankind is he who payeth for mere pastime of discourse, that he may mislead from Allah's way without knowledge, and maketh it the butt of mockery. For such there is a shameful doom.

اور ایک وہ لوگ ہیں کہ خریدارا ہیں کھیل کی باتوں کے تاکہ بچلائیں اللہ کی راہ سے بن سمجھے اور ٹھہرائیں اسی کو ہنسی وہ جو ہیں ان کو ذلت کا عذاب ہے [۳]

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا وَلَّىٰ مُسْتَكْبِرًۭا كَأَن لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَا كَأَنَّ فِىٓ أُذُنَيْهِ وَقْرًۭا ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ

Wa izaa tutlaa 'alayhi Aayaatunaa wallaa mustakbiran ka al lam yasma'haa ka anna feee uzunwihi waqran fabash shiru bi'azaabin aleem

And when Our revelations are recited unto him he turneth away in pride as if he heard them not, as if there were a deafness in his ears. So give him tidings of a painful doom.

اور جب سنائے اس کو ہمای آیتیں پیٹھ دیجائے غرور سے گویا ان کو سنا ہی نہیں گویا اس کےدونوں کان بہرے ہیں سو خوشخبری دے اس کو دردناک عذاب کی [۴]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتُ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

Innal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum Janaatun Na'eem

Lo! those who believe and do good works, for them are the gardens of delight,

جو لوگ یقین لائے اور کیے بھلے کام ان کے واسطے ہیں نعمت کے باغ

خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقًّۭا ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

Khaalideena feeha wa'dal laahi haqqaa; wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem

Wherein they will abide. It is a promise of Allah in truth. He is the Mighty, the Wise.

ہمیشہ رہا کریں ان میں وعدہ ہو چکا اللہ کا سچا اور وہ زبردست ہے حکمتوں والا [۵]

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍۢ تَرَوْنَهَا ۖ وَأَلْقَىٰ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ رَوَٰسِىَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍۢ ۚ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۢ كَرِيمٍ

Khalaqas samaawaati bi ghairi 'amadin tarawnahaa wa alqaa fil ardi rawaasiya an tameeda bikum wa bassa feehaa min kulli daaabbah; wa anzalnaa minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa ambatnaa feeha min kulli zawjin kareem

He hath created the heavens without supports that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed therein all kinds of beasts. And We send down water from the sky and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein.

بنائے آسمان بغیر ستونوں کے تم اس کو دیکھتے ہو [۶] اور رکھ دیے زمین پر پہاڑ کہ تم کو لیکر جھک نہ پڑے [۷] اور بکھیر دیے اس میں سب طرح کے جانور اور اتارا ہم نے آسمان سے پانی پھر اگائے زمین میں ہر قسم کے جوڑے خاصے [۸]

هَٰذَا خَلْقُ ٱللَّهِ فَأَرُونِى مَاذَا خَلَقَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِۦ ۚ بَلِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

Haazaa khalqul laahi fa aroonee maazaa khalaqal lazeena min doonih; baliz zaalimoona fee dalalim Mubeen

This is the Creation of Allah. Now show me that which those (ye worship) beside Him have created. Nay, but the wrong-doers are in error manifest!

یہ سب کچھ بنایا ہوا ہے اللہ کا اب دکھلاؤ مجھ کو کیا بنایا ہے اوروں نے جو اس کے سوا ہیں [۹] کچھ نہیں پر بے انصاف صریح بھٹک رہے ہیں [۱۰]

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا لُقْمَٰنَ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ أَنِ ٱشْكُرْ لِلَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يَشْكُرْ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِىٌّ حَمِيدٌۭ

Wa laqad aatainaa Luqmaanal hikmata anishkur lillaah; wa many yashkur fa innamaa yashkuru linafsihee wa man kafara fa innal laaha Ghaniyyun Hameed

And verily We gave Luqman wisdom, saying: Give thanks unto Allah; and whosoever giveth thanks, he giveth thanks for (the good of) his soul. And whosoever refuseth - Lo! Allah is Absolute, Owner of Praise.

اور ہم نے دی لقمان کو عقل مندی [۱۱] کہ حق مان اللہ کا اور جو کوئی حق مانے اللہ کا تو مانے گا اپنے بھلے کو اور جو کوئی منکر ہو گا تو اللہ بے پروا ہے سب تعریفوں والا [۱۲]

وَإِذْ قَالَ لُقْمَٰنُ لِٱبْنِهِۦ وَهُوَ يَعِظُهُۥ يَٰبُنَىَّ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

Wa iz qaala luqmaanu libnihee wa huwa ya'izuhoo ya bunaiya laa tushrik billaah; innash shirka lazulmun 'azeem

And (remember) when Luqman said unto his son, when he was exhorting him: O my dear son! Ascribe no partners unto Allah. Lo! to ascribe partners (unto Him) is a tremendous wrong -

اور جب کہا لقمان نے اپنے بیٹے کو جب اس کو سمجھانے لگا اے بیٹے شریک نہ ٹھہرائیو اللہ کا [۱۳] بیشک شریک بنانا بھاری بے انصافی ہے [۱۴]

وَوَصَّيْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُۥ وَهْنًا عَلَىٰ وَهْنٍۢ وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ فِى عَامَيْنِ أَنِ ٱشْكُرْ لِى وَلِوَٰلِدَيْكَ إِلَىَّ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

Wa wassainal bi waalidaihi hamalat hu ummuhoo wahnan 'alaa wahninw wa fisaaluhoo fee 'aamaini anishkur lee wa liwaalidaika ilaiyal maseer

And We have enjoined upon man concerning his partners - His mother beareth him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years - Give thanks unto Me and unto thy parents. Unto Me is the journeying.

اور ہم نے تاکید کر دی انسان کو اسکے ماں باپ کے واسطے پیٹ میں رکھا اس کو اسکی ماں نے تھک تھک کر اور دودھ چھڑانا ہے اس کا دو برس میں کہ حق مان میرا اور اپنے ماں باپ کا آخر مجھی تک آنا ہے [۱۵]

وَإِن جَٰهَدَاكَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن تُشْرِكَ بِى مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا ۖ وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا مَعْرُوفًۭا ۖ وَٱتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ مَنْ أَنَابَ إِلَىَّ ۚ ثُمَّ إِلَىَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Wa in jaahadaaka 'alaaa an tushrika bee maa laisa laka bihee 'ilmun falaa tuti'humaa wa saahib humaa fid dunyaa ma'roofanw wattabi' sabeela man anaaba ilayy; summa ilaiya marji'ukum fa unabbi'ukum bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

But if they strive with thee to make thee ascribe unto Me as partner that of which thou hast no knowledge, then obey them not. Consort with them in the world kindly, and follow the path of him who repenteth unto Me. Then unto Me will be your return, and I shall tell you what ye used to do -

اور اگر وہ دونوں تجھ سے اڑیں اس بات پر کہ شریک مان میرا اس چیز کو جو تجھ کو معلوم نہیں تو انکا کہنا مت مان [۱۶] اور ساتھ دے ان کا دنیا میں دستور کے موافق [۱۷] اور راہ چل اس کی جو رجوع ہوا میری طرف [۱۸] پھر میری طرف ہے تم کو پھر آنا پھر میں جتلا دوں گا تم کو جو کچھ تم کرتے تھے [۱۹]

يَٰبُنَىَّ إِنَّهَآ إِن تَكُ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍۢ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍۢ فَتَكُن فِى صَخْرَةٍ أَوْ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ أَوْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يَأْتِ بِهَا ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌۭ

Ya bunaiya innahaaa in taku misqaala habbatim min khardalin fatakun fee sakhratin aw fis samaawaati aw fil ardi yaati bihal laa; innal laaha lateefun Khabeer

O my dear son! Lo! though it be but the weight of a grain of mustard-seed, and though it be in a rock, or in the heavens, or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Lo! Allah is Subtile, Aware.

اے بیٹے اگر کوئی چیز ہو برابر رائی کے دانہ کی پھر وہ ہو کسی پتھر میں یا آسمانوں میں یا زمین میں لا حاضر کرے اس کو اللہ بیشک اللہ جانتا ہے چھپی ہوئی چیزوں کو خبردار ہے [۲۰]

يَٰبُنَىَّ أَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأْمُرْ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَٱنْهَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَصَابَكَ ۖ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ ٱلْأُمُورِ

Yaa bunaiya aqimis-Salaata waamur bilma'roofi wanha 'anil munkari wasbir 'alaa maaa asaabaka inna zaalika min 'azmil umoor

O my dear son! Establish worship and enjoin kindness and forbid iniquity, and persevere whatever may befall thee. Lo! that is of the steadfast heart of things.

اے بیٹے قائم رکھ نماز اور سکھلا بھلی بات اور منع کر برائی سے [۲۱] اور تحمل کر جو تجھ پر پڑے بیشک یہ ہیں ہمت کے کام [۲۲]

وَلَا تُصَعِّرْ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَمْشِ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَرَحًا ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍۢ فَخُورٍۢ

Wa laa tusa'-'ir khaddaka linnaasi wa laa tamshi fil ardi maarahan innal laaha laa yuhibbu kulla mukhtaalin fakhoor

Turn not thy cheek in scorn toward folk, nor walk with pertness in the land. Lo! Allah loveth not each braggart boaster.

اور اپنے گال مت پھلا لوگوں کی طرف [۲۳] اور مت چل زمین پر اتراتا بیشک اللہ کو نہیں بھاتا کوئی اتراتا بڑائیاں کرنے والا [۲۴]

وَٱقْصِدْ فِى مَشْيِكَ وَٱغْضُضْ مِن صَوْتِكَ ۚ إِنَّ أَنكَرَ ٱلْأَصْوَٰتِ لَصَوْتُ ٱلْحَمِيرِ

Waqsid fee mashyika waghdud min sawtik; inna ankaral aswaati lasawtul hameer

Be modest in thy bearing and subdue thy voice. Lo! the harshest of all voices is the voice of the ass.

اور چل بیچ کی چال اور نیچی کر آواز اپنی بیشک بری سے بری آواز گدھے کی آواز ہے [۲۵]

أَلَمْ تَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَأَسْبَغَ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعَمَهُۥ ظَٰهِرَةًۭ وَبَاطِنَةًۭ ۗ وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِى ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ وَلَا هُدًۭى وَلَا كِتَٰبٍۢ مُّنِيرٍۢ

Alam taraw annal laaha sakhkhara lakum maa fis sa maawaati wa maa fil ardi wa asbaha 'alaikum ni'amahoo zaahiratanw wa baatinah; wa minan naasi many yujaadilu fil laahi bighayri 'ilminw wa laa hudanw wa laa Kitaabim muneer

See ye not how Allah hath made serviceable unto you whatsoever is in the skies and whatsoever is in the earth and hath loaded you with His favours both without and within? Yet of mankind is he who disputeth concerning Allah, without knowledge or guidance or a scripture giving light.

کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ نے کام میں لگائے تمہارے جو کچھ ہے آسمان اور زمین میں [۲۶] اور پوری کر دیں تم پر اپنی نعمتیں کھلی اور چھپی [۲۷] اور لوگوں میں ایسے بھی ہیں جو جھگڑتے ہیں اللہ کی بات میں نہ سمجھ رکھیں نہ سوجھ اور نہ روشن کتاب [۲۸]

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ قَالُوا۟ بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَآ ۚ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ

Wa izaa qeela lahumut-tabi'oo maaa anzalal laahu qaaloo bal nattabi'u maa wajadnaa 'alaihi aabaaa'anaa; awalaw kaanash Shaitaanu yad'oohum ilaa 'azaabis sa'eer

And if it be said unto them: Follow that which Allah hath revealed, they say: Nay, but we follow that wherein we found our fathers. What! Even though the devil were inviting them unto the doom of flame?

اور جب ان کو کہیے چلو اس حکم پر جو اتارا اللہ نے کہیں نہیں ہم تو چلیں گے اس پر جس پر پایا ہم نے اپنے باپ دادوں کو بھلا اور جو شیطان بلاتا ہو ان کو دوزخ کے عذاب کی طرف تو بھی [۲۹]

۞ وَمَن يُسْلِمْ وَجْهَهُۥٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌۭ فَقَدِ ٱسْتَمْسَكَ بِٱلْعُرْوَةِ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ ۗ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْأُمُورِ

Wa many yuslim wajha hooo ilal laahi wa huwa muhsinun faqadistamsaka bil'ur watil wusqaa; wa ilal laahi 'aaqibatul umoor

Whosoever surrendereth his purpose to Allah while doing good, he verily hath grasped the firm hand-hold. Unto Allah belongeth the sequel of all things.

اور جو کوئی تابع کرے اپنا منہ اللہ کی طرف اور وہ ہو نیکی پر سو اس نے پکڑ لیا مضبوط کڑا [۳۰] اور اللہ کی طرف ہے آخر ہر کام کا [۳۱]

وَمَن كَفَرَ فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ كُفْرُهُۥٓ ۚ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا عَمِلُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

Wa man kafara falaa yahzunka kufruh; ilainaa marji'uhum fanunabbi'uhum bimaa 'amiloo; innal laaha 'aleemum bizaatis sudoor

And whosoever disbelieveth, let not his disbelief afflict thee (O Muhammad). Unto Us is their return, and We shall tell them what they did. Lo! Allah is Aware of what is in the breasts (of men).

اور جو کوئی منکر ہوا تو تو غم نہ کھا اسکے انکار سے ہماری طرف پھر آنا ہے انکو پھر ہم جتلا دیں گے ان کو جو انہوں نے کیا ہے البتہ اللہ جانتا ہے جو بات ہے دلوں میں [۳۲]

نُمَتِّعُهُمْ قَلِيلًۭا ثُمَّ نَضْطَرُّهُمْ إِلَىٰ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍۢ

Numatti'uhum qaleelan summa nadtarruhum ilaa 'azaabin ghaleez

We give them comfort for a little, and then We drive them to a heavy doom.

کام چلا دیں گے ہم انکا تھوڑے دنوں میں پھر پکڑ بلائیں گے ان کو گاڑھے عذاب میں [۳۳]

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ ۚ قُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Wa la'in sa altahum man khalaqas samaawaati wal arda la yaqoolunnal laah; qulil hamdu lillaah; bal aksaruhum laa ya'lamoon

If thou shouldst ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth? they would answer: Allah. Say: Praise be to Allah! But most of them know not.

اور اگر تو پوچھے ان سے کس نے بنائے آسمان اور زمین تو کہیں اللہ نے تو کہہ سب خوبی اللہ کو ہے پر وہ بہت لوگ سمجھ نہیں رکھتے [۳۴]

لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ

Lilaahi ma fis samaa waati wal ard; innal laaha Huwal Ghaniyyul Hameed

Unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. Lo! Allah, He is the Absolute, the Owner of Praise.

اللہ کا ہے جو کچھ ہے آسمان اور زمین میں بیشک اللہ وہی ہے بے پروا سب خوبیوں والا [۳۵]

وَلَوْ أَنَّمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن شَجَرَةٍ أَقْلَٰمٌۭ وَٱلْبَحْرُ يَمُدُّهُۥ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ سَبْعَةُ أَبْحُرٍۢ مَّا نَفِدَتْ كَلِمَٰتُ ٱللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌۭ

Wa law annamaa fil ardi min shajaratin aqlaamunw wal bahru yamudduhoo mim ba'dihee sab'atu abhurim maa nafidat Kalimaatul laah; innal laaha 'azeezun Hakeem

And if all the trees in the earth were pens, and the sea, with seven more seas to help it, (were ink), the words of Allah could not be exhausted. Lo! Allah is Mighty, Wise.

اور اگر جتنے درخت ہیں زمین میں قلم ہوں اور سمندر ہو اس کی سیاہی اسکے پیچھے ہوں سات سمندر نہ تمام ہوں باتیں اللہ کی بیشک اللہ زبردست ہے حکمتوں والا [۳۶]

مَّا خَلْقُكُمْ وَلَا بَعْثُكُمْ إِلَّا كَنَفْسٍۢ وَٰحِدَةٍ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌۢ بَصِيرٌ

Maa khalqukum wa laa ba'sukum illaa kanafsinw-waa hidah; innal laaha Samee'um Baseer

Your creation and your raising (from the dead) are only as (the creation and the raising of) a single soul. Lo! Allah is Hearer, Knower.

تم سب کا بنانا اور مرے پیچھے جلانا ایسا ہی ہے جیسا ایک جی کا [۳۷] بیشک اللہ سب کچھ سنتا دیکھتا ہے [۳۸]

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ كُلٌّۭ يَجْرِىٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌۭ

Alam tara annal laaha yoolijul laila fin nahaari wa yoolijun nahaara fil laili wa sakhkharash shamsa wal qamara kulluny yajreee ilaaa ajalim musammanw wa annal laaha bimaa ta'malona Khabeer

Hast thou not seen how Allah causeth the night to pass into the day and causeth the day to pass into the night, and hath subdued the sun and the moon (to do their work), each running unto an appointed term; and that Allah is Informed of what ye do?

تو نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ داخل کرتا ہے رات کو دن میں اور داخل کرتا ہے دن کو رات میں اور کام میں لگا دیا ہے سورج اور چاند کو ہر ایک چلتا ہے ایک مقرر وقت تک [۳۹] اور یہ کہ اللہ خبر رکھتا ہے اسکی جو تم کرتے ہو [۴۰]

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ ٱلْبَٰطِلُ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْكَبِيرُ

Zaalika bi annal laaha Huwal Haqqu wa anna maa yad'oona min doonihil baatilu wa annal laaha Huwal 'Aliyyul Kabeer

That (is so) because Allah, He is the True, and that which they invoke beside Him is the False, and because Allah, He is the Sublime, the Great.

یہ اس لیے کہا کہ اللہ وہی ہے ٹھیک اور جس کسی کو پکارتے ہیں اس کے سوائے سو وہی جھوٹ ہے [۴۱] اور اللہ وہی ہے سب سے اوپر بڑا [۴۲]

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱلْفُلْكَ تَجْرِى فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِنِعْمَتِ ٱللَّهِ لِيُرِيَكُم مِّنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍۢ شَكُورٍۢ

Alam tara annal fulka tajree fil bahri bini'matil laahi li yuriyakum min Aayaatih; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil likulli sabbaarin shakoor

Hast thou not seen how the ships glide on the sea by Allah's grace, that He may show you of His wonders? Lo! therein indeed are portents for every steadfast, grateful (heart).

تو نے نہ دیکھا کہ جہاز چلتے ہیں سمندر میں اللہ کی نعمت لے کر تاکہ دکھلائے تمکو کچھ اپنی قدرتیں [۴۳] البتہ اس میں نشانیاں ہیں ہر ایک تحمل کرنے والے احسان ماننے والے کے واسطے [۴۴]

وَإِذَا غَشِيَهُم مَّوْجٌۭ كَٱلظُّلَلِ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّىٰهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْبَرِّ فَمِنْهُم مُّقْتَصِدٌۭ ۚ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَّا كُلُّ خَتَّارٍۢ كَفُورٍۢ

Wa izaa ghashiyahum mawjun kazzulali da'a-wul laaha mukhliseena lahud deena fa lammaa najjaahum ilal barri faminhum muqtasid; wa maa yajhadu bi Aayaatinaa illaa kullu khattaarin kafoor

And if a wave enshroudeth them like awnings, they cry unto Allah, making their faith pure for Him only. But when He bringeth them safe to land, some of them compromise. None denieth Our signs save every traitor ingrate.

اور جب سر پر آئے انکے موج جیسے بادل پکارنے لگیں اللہ کو خالص کر کر اسی کے لیے بندگی [۴۵] پھر جب بچا دیا انکو جنگل کی طرف تو کوئی ہوتا ہے ان میں بیچ کی چال پر [۴۶] اور منکر وہی ہوتے ہیں ہماری قدرتوں سے جو قول کے جھوٹے ہیں حق نہ ماننے والے [۴۷]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ وَٱخْشَوْا۟ يَوْمًۭا لَّا يَجْزِى وَالِدٌ عَن وَلَدِهِۦ وَلَا مَوْلُودٌ هُوَ جَازٍ عَن وَالِدِهِۦ شَيْـًٔا ۚ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّۭ ۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْغَرُورُ

Yaaa ayyuhan naasuttaqoo Rabbakum wakhshaw Yawmal laa yajzee waalidun 'anw waladihee wa laa mawloodun huwa jaazin 'anw waalidihee shai'aa; innaa wa'dal laahi haqqun falaa taghurran nakumul hayaatud dunyaa wa laa yaghur rannakum billaahil gharoon

O mankind! Keep your duty to your Lord and fear a Day when the parent will not be able to avail the child in aught, nor the child to avail the parent. Lo! Allah's promise is the very truth. Let not the life of the world beguile you, nor let the deceiver beguile you, in regard to Allah.

اے لوگوں بچتے ہو اپنے رب سے اور ڈرو اس دن سے کہ کام نہ آئے کوئی باپ اپن بیٹے کے بدلے اور نہ کوئی بیٹا ہو جو کام آئے اپنے باپ کی جگہ کچھ بھی [۴۸] بیشک اللہ کا وعدہ ٹھیک ہے سو تم کو نہ بہکائے دنیا کی زندگانی اور نہ دھوکا دے تم کو اللہ کے نام سے وہ دغاباز [۴۹]

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ وَيُنَزِّلُ ٱلْغَيْثَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلْأَرْحَامِ ۖ وَمَا تَدْرِى نَفْسٌۭ مَّاذَا تَكْسِبُ غَدًۭا ۖ وَمَا تَدْرِى نَفْسٌۢ بِأَىِّ أَرْضٍۢ تَمُوتُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌۢ

Innal laaha 'indahoo 'ilmus saa'ati wa yunazzilul ghaisa wa ya'lamu maa fil arhaami wa maa tadree nafsum maazaa takisbu ghadaa; wa maa tadree nafsum bi ayyi ardin tamoot; innal laaha 'Aleemun Khabeer

Lo! Allah! With Him is knowledge of the Hour. He sendeth down the rain, and knoweth that which is in the wombs. No soul knoweth what it will earn to-morrow, and no soul knoweth in what land it will die. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware.

بیشک اللہ کے پاس ہے قیامت کی خبر اور اتارتا ہے مینہ اور جانتا ہے جو کچھ ہے ماں کے پیٹ میں اور کسی جی کو معلوم نہیں کہ کل کو کیا کرے گا اور کسی جی کو خبر نہیں کہ کس زمین میں مرے گا تحقیق اللہ سب کچھ جاننے والا خبردار ہے [۵۰]
