Faatir

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ جَاعِلِ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ رُسُلًا أُو۟لِىٓ أَجْنِحَةٍۢ مَّثْنَىٰ وَثُلَٰثَ وَرُبَٰعَ ۚ يَزِيدُ فِى ٱلْخَلْقِ مَا يَشَآءُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ

Alhamdu lillaahi faatiris samaawaati wal ardi jaa'ilil malaaa'ikati rusulan uleee ajnihatim masnaa wa sulaasa wa rubaa'; yazeedu fil khalqi maa yashaaa'; innal laaha 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer

Praise be to Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, Who appointeth the angels messengers having wings two, three and four. He multiplieth in creation what He will. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things.

سب خوبی اللہ کو ہے جس نے بنا نکالے آسمان اور زمین [۱] جس نے ٹھہرایا فرشتوں کو پیغام لانے والے [۲] جن کے پر ہیں دو دو اور تین تین اور چار چار [۳] بڑھا دیتا ہے پیدائش میں جو چاہے بیشک اللہ ہر چیز کر سکتا ہے [۴]

مَّا يَفْتَحِ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِن رَّحْمَةٍۢ فَلَا مُمْسِكَ لَهَا ۖ وَمَا يُمْسِكْ فَلَا مُرْسِلَ لَهُۥ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

Maa yaftahil laahu linnaaasi mir rahmatin falaa mumsika lahaa wa maa yumsik falaa mursila lahoo mimb'dih; wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem

That which Allah openeth unto mankind of mercy none can withhold it; and that which He withholdeth none can release thereafter. He is the Mighty, the Wise.

جو کچھ کہ کھول دے اللہ لوگوں پر رحمت میں سے تو کوئی نہیں اس کو روکنے والا [۵] اور جو کچھ روک رکھے تو کوئی نہیں اس کو بھیجنے والا اسکے سوائے اور وہی ہے زبردست حکمتوں والا [۶]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ هَلْ مِنْ خَٰلِقٍ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ

Yaaa ayyuhan naasuzkuroo ni'matal laahi 'alaikum; hal min khaaliqin ghairul laahi yarzuqukum minas samaaa'i wal ard; laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa fa annaa tu'fakoon

O mankind! Remember Allah's grace toward you! Is there any creator other than Allah who provideth for you from the sky and the earth? There is no Allah save Him. Whither then are ye turned?

اے لوگو یاد کرو احسان اللہ کا اپنے اوپر کیا کوئی ہے بنانے والا اللہ کے سوائے روزی دیتا ہے تم کو آسمان سے اور زمین سے کوئی حاکم نہیں مگر وہ پھر کہاں الٹے جاتے ہو [۷]

وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌۭ مِّن قَبْلِكَ ۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْأُمُورُ

Wa iny yukazzibooka faqad kuzzibat Rusulum min qablik; wa ilal laahi turja'ul umoor

And if they deny thee, (O Muhammad), messengers (of Allah) were denied before thee. Unto Allah all things are brought back.

اور اگر تجھ کو جھٹلائیں تو جھٹلائے گئے کتنے رسول تجھ سے پہلے اور اللہ تک پہنچتے ہیں سب کام [۸]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّۭ ۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْغَرُورُ

Yaaa ayyuhan naasu inna wa'dal laahi haqqun falaa taghurrannakumul hayaatud dunyaa; wa laa yaghurran nakum billaahil gharoor

O mankind! Lo! the promise of Allah is true. So let not the life of the world beguile you, and let not the (avowed) beguiler beguile you with regard to Allah.

اے لوگو بیشک اللہ کا وعدہ ٹھیک ہے سو نہ بہکائے تم کو دنیا کی زندگانی اور نہ دغا دے تم کو اللہ کے نام سے وہ دغا باز

إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ فَٱتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّا ۚ إِنَّمَا يَدْعُوا۟ حِزْبَهُۥ لِيَكُونُوا۟ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ

Innash shaitaana lakum 'aduwwun fattakhizoohu 'aduwwaa; innamaa yad'oo hizbahoo liyakoonoo min ashaabis sa'eer

Lo! the devil is an enemy for you, so treat him as an enemy. He only summoneth his faction to be owners of the flaming Fire.

تحقیق شیطان تمہارا دشمن ہے سو تم بھی سمجھ رکھو اس کو دشمن وہ تو بلاتا ہے اپنے گروہ کو اسی واسطے کے ہوں دوزخ والوں میں [۹]

ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ شَدِيدٌۭ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ وَأَجْرٌۭ كَبِيرٌ

Allazeena kafaroo lahum 'azaabun shadeed; wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum maghfiratunw wa ajrun kabeer

Those who disbelieve, theirs will be an awful doom; and those who believe and do good works, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward.

جو منکر ہوئے ان کو سخت عذاب ہے اور جو یقین لائے اور کئے بھلے کام انکے لئے ہے معافی اور بڑا ثواب

أَفَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُۥ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ فَرَءَاهُ حَسَنًۭا ۖ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ ۖ فَلَا تَذْهَبْ نَفْسُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسَرَٰتٍ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ

Afaman zuyyina lahoo sooo'u 'amalihee fara aahu hasanaa; fa innal laaha yudillu mai yashaaa'u wa yahdee mai yahaaa'u falaa tazhab nafsuka 'alaihim hasaraat; innal laaha 'aleemun bimaa yasna'oon

Is he, the evil of whose deeds is made fairseeming unto him so that he deemeth it good, (other than Satan's dupe)? Allah verily sendeth whom He will astray, and guideth whom He will; so let not thy soul expire in sighings for them. Lo! Allah is Aware of what they do!

بھلا ایک شخص کو کہ بھلی سمجھائی گئ اسکو اسکے کام کی برائی پھر دیکھا اس نے اسکو بھلا کیونکہ اللہ بھٹکاتا ہے جس کو چاہے اور سمجھاتا ہے جس کو چاہے سو تیرا جی نہ جاتا رہے ان پر پچتا پچتا کر اللہ کو معلوم ہے جو کچھ کرتے ہیں [۱۰]

وَٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابًۭا فَسُقْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٍۢ مَّيِّتٍۢ فَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلنُّشُورُ

Wallaahul lazeee arsalar riyaaha fatuseeru shaaban fasuqnaahu ilaa baladim maiyitin fa ahyaynaa bihil arda ba'da mawtihaa; kazaalikan nushoor

And Allah it is Who sendeth the winds and they raise a cloud; then We lead it unto a dead land and revive therewith the earth after its death. Such is the Resurrection.

اور اللہ ہے جس نے چلائی ہیں ہوائیں پھر وہ اٹھاتی ہیں بادل کو پھر ہانک لے گئے ہم اسکو ایک مردہ دیس کی طرف پھر زندہ کر دیا ہم نے اس سے زمین کو اسکے مرجانے کے بعد اسی طرح ہو گا جی اٹھنا [۱۱]

مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ٱلْعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْعِزَّةُ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ ٱلْكَلِمُ ٱلطَّيِّبُ وَٱلْعَمَلُ ٱلصَّٰلِحُ يَرْفَعُهُۥ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَمْكُرُونَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ شَدِيدٌۭ ۖ وَمَكْرُ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُوَ يَبُورُ

Man kaana yureedul 'izzata falillaahil 'izzatu jamee'aa; ilaihi yas'adul kalimut taiyibu wal'amalus saalihu yarfa'uh; wallazeena yamkuroonas sayyiaati lahum 'azaabun shadeed; wa makru ulaaa'ika huwa yaboor

Whoso desireth power (should know that) all power belongeth to Allah. Unto Him good words ascend, and the pious deed doth He exalt; but those who plot iniquities, theirs will be an awful doom; and the plotting of such (folk) will come to naught.

جس کو چاہئے عزت تو اللہ کے لیے ہے ساری عزت [۱۲] اس کی طرف چڑھتا ہے کلام ستھرا [۱۳] اور کام نیک اس کو اٹھا لیتا ہے [۱۴] اور جو لوگ داؤ میں ہیں برائیوں کے انکے لیے سخت عذاب ہے اور ان کا داؤ ہے ٹوٹے کا [۱۵]

وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍۢ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا ۚ وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ أُنثَىٰ وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلْمِهِۦ ۚ وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِن مُّعَمَّرٍۢ وَلَا يُنقَصُ مِنْ عُمُرِهِۦٓ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌۭ

Wallaahu khalaqakum min turaabin summa min nutfatin summa ja'alakum azwaajaa; wa maa tahmilu min unsaa wa laa tada'u illaa bi'ilmih; wa maa yu'ammaru mim mu'ammarinw wa laa yunqasu min 'umuriheee illaa fee kitaab; inna zaalika 'alal laahi yaseer

Allah created you from dust, then from a little fluid, then He made you pairs (the male and female). No female beareth or bringeth forth save with His knowledge. And no-one groweth old who groweth old, nor is aught lessened of his life, but it is recorded in a Book, Lo! that is easy for Allah.

اور اللہ نے تم کو بنایا مٹی سے پھر بوند پانی سے پھر بنایا تم کو جوڑے جوڑے اور نہ پیٹ رہتا ہے کسی مادہ کو اور نہ وہ جنتی ہے بن خبر اس کے [۱۶] اور نہ عمر پاتا ہے کوئی بڑی عمر والا اور نہ گھٹتی ہے کسی کی عمر مگر لکھا ہے کتاب میں بیشک یہ اللہ پر آسان ہے [۱۷]

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْبَحْرَانِ هَٰذَا عَذْبٌۭ فُرَاتٌۭ سَآئِغٌۭ شَرَابُهُۥ وَهَٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌۭ ۖ وَمِن كُلٍّۢ تَأْكُلُونَ لَحْمًۭا طَرِيًّۭا وَتَسْتَخْرِجُونَ حِلْيَةًۭ تَلْبَسُونَهَا ۖ وَتَرَى ٱلْفُلْكَ فِيهِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

Wa maa yastawil bahraani haaza 'azbun furaatun saaa'ighun sharaabuhoo wa haazaa milhun ujaaj; wa min kullin taakuloona lahman tariyyanw wa tastakhrijoona hilyatan talbasoonahaa wa taral fulka feehi mawaakhira litabtaghoo min fadlihee wa la'allakm tashkuroon

And the two seas are not alike: this, fresh, sweet, good to drink, this (other) bitter, salt. And from them both ye eat fresh meat and derive the ornament that ye wear. And thou seest the ship cleaving them with its prow that ye may seek of His bounty, and that haply ye may give thanks.

اور برابر نہیں دو دریا یہ میٹھا ہے پیاس بجھاتا ہے خوشگوار ہے پینا اس کا اور یہ کھارا کڑوا اور دونوں میں سے کھاتے ہو گوشت تازہ اور نکالتے ہو گہنا جسکو پہنتے ہو [۱۸] اور تو دیکھے جہازوں کو اس میں کہ چلتے ہیں پانی کو پھاڑتے تاکہ تلاش کرو اسکے فضل سے اور تاکہ تم حق مانو [۱۹]

يُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ كُلٌّۭ يَجْرِى لِأَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِن قِطْمِيرٍ

Yoolijul laila fin nahaari wa yoolijun nahaara fil laili wa sakhkharash shamsa wal qamara kulluny yajree li ajalim musammaa; zaalikumul lahuu Rabbukum lahul mulk; wallazeena tad'oona min doonihee maa yamlikoona min qitmeer

He maketh the night to pass into the day and He maketh the day to pass into the night. He hath subdued the sun and moon to service. Each runneth unto an appointed term. Such is Allah, your Lord; His is the Sovereignty; and those unto whom ye pray instead of Him own not so much as the white spot on a date-stone.

رات گھساتا ہے دن میں اور دن گھساتا ہے رات میں اور کام میں لگا دیا سورج اورچاند کو ہر ایک چلتا ہے ایک مقرر وعدہ تک [۲۰] یہ اللہ ہے تمہارا رب اسی کے لئے بادشاہی ہے اور جن کو تم پکارتے ہو اس کے سوائے وہ مالک نہیں کھجور کی گٹھلی کے ایک چھلکے کے [۲۱]

إِن تَدْعُوهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُوا۟ دُعَآءَكُمْ وَلَوْ سَمِعُوا۟ مَا ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟ لَكُمْ ۖ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ يَكْفُرُونَ بِشِرْكِكُمْ ۚ وَلَا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثْلُ خَبِيرٍۢ

in tad'oohum laa yasma'oo du'aaa'akum wa law sami'oo mas tajaaboo lakum; wa Yawmal Qiyaamati Yakfuroona bishirkikum; wa laa yunabbi'uka mislu khabeer

If ye pray unto them they hear not your prayer, and if they heard they could not grant it you. On the Day of Resurrection they will disown association with you. None can inform you like Him Who is Aware.

اگر تم ان کو پکارو سنیں نہیں تمہاری پکار اور اگر سنیں پہنچیں نہیں تمہارے کام پر اور قیامت کے دن منکر ہوں گے تمہارے شریک ٹھہرانے سے [۲۲] اور کوئی نہ بتلائے گا تجھ کو جیسا بتلائے خبر رکھنے والا [۲۳]

۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ أَنتُمُ ٱلْفُقَرَآءُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ

Yaaa ayyunhan naasu antumul fuqaraaa'u ilallaahi wallaahu Huwal Ghaniyyul Hameed

O mankind! Ye are the poor in your relation to Allah. And Allah! He is the Absolute, the Owner of Praise.

اے لوگو تم ہو محتاج اللہ کی طرف اور اللہ وہی ہے بے پروا سب تعریفوں والا [۲۴]

إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍۢ

Iny yashaa yuzhibkum wa yaati bikhalqin jadeed

If He will, He can be rid of you and bring (instead of you) some new creation.

اگر چاہے تم کو لیجائے اور لے آئے ایک نئی خلقت

وَمَا ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ بِعَزِيزٍۢ

Wa maa zaalika 'alal laahi bi'azeez

That is not a hard thing for Allah.

اور یہ بات اللہ پر مشکل نہیں [۲۵]

وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌۭ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ۚ وَإِن تَدْعُ مُثْقَلَةٌ إِلَىٰ حِمْلِهَا لَا يُحْمَلْ مِنْهُ شَىْءٌۭ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰٓ ۗ إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۚ وَمَن تَزَكَّىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَتَزَكَّىٰ لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

Wa laa taziru waaziratun wizra ukhraa; wa in tad'u musqalatun ilaa himlihaa laa yuhmal minhu shai'unw wa law kaana zaa qurbaa; innamaa tunzirul lazeena yakhshawna Rabbahum bilghaibi wa aqaamus Sallah; wa man tazakkaa fa innamaa yatazakkaa linafsih; wa ilal laahil maseer

And no burdened soul can bear another's burden, and if one heavy laden crieth for (help with) his load, naught of it will be lifted even though he (unto whom he crieth) be of kin. Thou warnest only those who fear their Lord in secret, and have established worship. He who groweth (in goodness), groweth only for himself, (he cannot by his merit redeem others). Unto Allah is the journeying.

اور نہ اٹھائے گا کوئی اٹھانے والا بوجھ دوسرے کا اور اگر پکارے کوئی بوجھل اپنا بوجھ بٹانے کو کوئی نہ اٹھائے اس میں سے ذرا بھی اگر چہ ہو قرابتی [۲۶] تو تو ڈر سنا دیتا ہے انکو جو ڈرتے ہیں اپنے رب سے بن دیکھے اور قائم رکھتے ہیں نماز [۲۷] او جو کوئی سنورے گا تو یہی ہے کہ سنورے گا اپنے فائدہ کو اور اللہ کی طرف ہے سب کو پھر جانا [۲۸]

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْبَصِيرُ

Wa maa tastawil a'maa wal baseer

The blind man is not equal with the seer;

اور برابر نہیں اندھا اور دیکھتا

وَلَا ٱلظُّلُمَٰتُ وَلَا ٱلنُّورُ

Wa laz zulumaatu wa lannoon

Nor is darkness (tantamount to) light;

اور نہ اندھیرا اور نہ اجالا

وَلَا ٱلظِّلُّ وَلَا ٱلْحَرُورُ

Wa laz zillu wa lal haroor

Nor is the shadow equal with the sun's full heat;

اور نہ سایہ اور نہ لُو

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَحْيَآءُ وَلَا ٱلْأَمْوَٰتُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُسْمِعُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ بِمُسْمِعٍۢ مَّن فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ

Wa maa yastawil ahyaaa'u wa lal amwaat; innal laaha yusmi'u mai yashaaa'u wa maaa anta bimusi'im man fil quboor

Nor are the living equal with the dead. Lo! Allah maketh whom He will to hear. Thou canst not reach those who are in the graves.

اور برابر نہیں جیتے اور نہ مردے [۲۹] اللہ سناتا ہے جس کو چاہے اور تو نہیں سنانے والا قبر میں پڑے ہوؤں کو

إِنْ أَنتَ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ

In anta illaa nazeer

Thou art but a warner.

تو تو بس ڈر کی خبر پہنچانے والا ہے [۳۰]

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ بَشِيرًۭا وَنَذِيرًۭا ۚ وَإِن مِّنْ أُمَّةٍ إِلَّا خَلَا فِيهَا نَذِيرٌۭ

Innaa arsalnaak bil haqqi basheeranw wa nazeeraa; wa im min ummatin illaa khalaa feehaa nazeer

Lo! We have sent thee with the Truth, a bearer of glad tidings and a warner; and there is not a nation but a warner hath passed among them.

ہم نے بھیجا ہے تجھ کو سچا دین دیکر خوشی اور ڈر سنانے والا اور کوئی فرقہ نہیں جس میں نہیں ہو چکا کوئی ڈر سنانے والا [۳۱]

وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَبِٱلزُّبُرِ وَبِٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُنِيرِ

Wa inyukazzibooka faqad kazzabal lazeena min qablihim jaaa'at hum Rusuluhum bilbaiyinaati wa biz Zuburi wa bil Kitaabil Muneer

And if they deny thee, those before them also denied. Their messengers came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), and with the Psalms and the Scripture giving light.

اور اگر وہ تجھ کو جھٹلائیں تو آگے جھٹلا چکے ہیں جو لوگ کہ ان سے پہلے تھے پہنچے ان کے پاس رسول انکے لیکر کھلی باتیں اور صحیفے اور روشن کتاب [۳۲]

ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ

Summa akhaztul lazeena kafaroo fakaifa kaana nakeer

Then seized I those who disbelieved, and how intense was My abhorrence!

پھر پکڑا میں نے منکروں کو سو کیسا ہوا انکار میرا [۳۳]

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِۦ ثَمَرَٰتٍۢ مُّخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَٰنُهَا ۚ وَمِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ جُدَدٌۢ بِيضٌۭ وَحُمْرٌۭ مُّخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَٰنُهَا وَغَرَابِيبُ سُودٌۭ

Alam tara annal laaha anzala minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa akhrajnaa bihee samaraatim mukhtalifan alwaanuhaa; wa minal jibaali judadum beedunw wa humrum mukhtalifun alwaanuhaa wa gharaabeebu sood

Hast thou not seen that Allah causeth water to fall from the sky, and We produce therewith fruit of divers hues; and among the hills are streaks white and red, of divers hues, and (others) raven-black;

کیا تو نے نہ دیکھا کہ اللہ نے اتارا آسمان سے پانی پھر ہم نے نکالے اس سے میوے طرح طرح کے انکے رنگ [۳۴] اور پہاڑوں میں گھاٹیاں ہیں سفید اور سرخ طرح طرح کے انکے رنگ اور بھجنگے کالے [۳۵]

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱلدَّوَآبِّ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ مُخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَٰنُهُۥ كَذَٰلِكَ ۗ إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى ٱللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ٱلْعُلَمَٰٓؤُا۟ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ غَفُورٌ

Wa minan naasi wadda waaabbi wal an'aami mukhtalifun alwaanuhoo kazalik; innamaa yakhshal laaha min 'ibaadihil 'ulamaaa'; innal laaha 'Azeezun Ghafoor

And of men and beasts and cattle, in like manner, divers hues? The erudite among His bondmen fear Allah alone. Lo! Allah is Mighty, Forgiving.

اور آدمیوں میں اور کیڑوں میں اور چوپاؤں میں کتنے رنگ ہیں اسی طرح [۳۶] اللہ سے ڈرتے وہی ہیں اس کے بدنوں میں جن کو سمجھ ہے تحقیق اللہ زبردست ہے بخشنے والا [۳۷]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ كِتَٰبَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ سِرًّۭا وَعَلَانِيَةًۭ يَرْجُونَ تِجَٰرَةًۭ لَّن تَبُورَ

Innal lazeena yatloona Kitabbal laahi wa aqaamus Salaata wa anfaqoo mimmaa razaqnaahum sirranw wa 'alaa niyatany yarjoona tijaaratal lan taboor

Lo! those who read the Scripture of Allah, and establish worship, and spend of that which We have bestowed on them secretly and openly, they look forward to imperishable gain,

جو لوگ پڑھتے ہیں کتاب اللہ کی اور سیدھی کرتے ہیں نماز اور خرچ کرتے ہیں کچھ ہمارا دیا ہوا چھپے اور کھلے امیدوار ہیں ایک بیوپار کے جس میں ٹوٹا نہ ہو [۳۸]

لِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزِيدَهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ غَفُورٌۭ شَكُورٌۭ

Liyuwaffiyahum ujoorahum wa yazeedahum min fadlih; innahoo Ghafoorun Shakoor

That He will pay them their wages and increase them of His grace. Lo! He is Forgiving, Responsive.

تاکہ پورا دے انکو ثواب ان کا اور زیادہ دے اپنے فضل سے تحقیق وہ ہے بخشنے والا قدر دان [۳۹]

وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِعِبَادِهِۦ لَخَبِيرٌۢ بَصِيرٌۭ

Wallaeee awhainaaa ilaika minal Kitaabi huwal haqqu musaddiqal limaa baina yadayh; innal laaha bi'ibaadihee la khabeerum Baseer

As for that which We inspire in thee of the Scripture, it is the Truth confirming that which was (revealed) before it. Lo! Allah is indeed Observer, Seer of His slaves.

اور جو ہم نے تجھ پر اتاری کتاب وہی ٹھیک ہے تصدیق کرنے والی اپنے سےاگلی کتابوں کی بیشک اللہ اپنے بندوں سے خبردار ہے دیکھنے والا [۴۰]

ثُمَّ أَوْرَثْنَا ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱصْطَفَيْنَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ۖ فَمِنْهُمْ ظَالِمٌۭ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ وَمِنْهُم مُّقْتَصِدٌۭ وَمِنْهُمْ سَابِقٌۢ بِٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَضْلُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ

Summa awrasnal Kitaaballazeenas tafainaa min 'ibaadinaa faminhum zaalimul linafsihee wa minhum muqtasid, wa minhum saabiqum bilkhairaati bi iznil laah; zaalika huwal fadlul kabeer

Then We gave the Scripture as inheritance unto those whom We elected of Our bondmen. But of them are some who wrong themselves and of them are some who are lukewarm, and of them are some who outstrip (others) through good deeds, by Allah's leave. That is the great favour!

پھر ہم نے وارث کئے کتاب کے وہ لوگ جن کو چن لیا ہم نے اپنے بندوں میں سے پھر کوئی ان میں برا کرتا ہے اپنی جان کا اور کوئی ان میں ہے بیچ کی چال پر اور کوئی ان میں آگے بڑھ گیا ہے لیکر خوبیاں اللہ کے حکم سے یہی ہے بڑی بزرگی [۴۱]

جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍۢ يَدْخُلُونَهَا يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٍۢ وَلُؤْلُؤًۭا ۖ وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِيرٌۭ

jannaatu 'adniny yad khuloonahaa yuhallawna feeha min asaawira min zahabinw wa lu'lu'anw wa libaa suhum feehaa hareer

Gardens of Eden! They enter them wearing armlets of gold and pearl and their raiment therein is silk.

باغ ہیں بسنے کے جن میں وہ جائیں گے وہاں انکو پہنایا جائے گا کنگن سونے کے او رموتی کے اور انکی پوشاک وہاں ریشمی ہے [۴۲]

وَقَالُوا۟ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَذْهَبَ عَنَّا ٱلْحَزَنَ ۖ إِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَغَفُورٌۭ شَكُورٌ

Wa qaalul hamdu lillaahil lazeee azhaba 'annal hazan; inna Rabbanaa la Ghafoorun Shakoor

And they say: Praise be to Allah Who hath put grief away from us. Lo! Our Lord is Forgiving, Bountiful,

اور کہیں گے شکر اللہ کا جس نے دور کیا ہم سےغم بیشک ہمارا رب بخشنے والا قدردان ہے [۴۳]

ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحَلَّنَا دَارَ ٱلْمُقَامَةِ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ لَا يَمَسُّنَا فِيهَا نَصَبٌۭ وَلَا يَمَسُّنَا فِيهَا لُغُوبٌۭ

Allazeee ahallanaa daaral muqaamati min fadlihee laa yamassunaa feehaa nasabunw wa laa yamassunaa feehaa lughoob

Who, of His grace, hath installed us in the mansion of eternity, where toil toucheth us not nor can weariness affect us.

جس نے اتارا ہم کو آباد رہنے کے گھر میں اپنے فضل سے نہ پہنچے ہم کو اس میں مشقت اور نہ پہنچے ہمکو اس میں تھکنا [۴۴]

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَهُمْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يُقْضَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَمُوتُوا۟ وَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُم مِّنْ عَذَابِهَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى كُلَّ كَفُورٍۢ

Wallazeena kafaroo lahum naaru Jahannama laa yuqdaa 'alaihim fa yamootoo wa laa yukhaffafu 'anhum min 'azaabihaa; kazaalika najzee kulla kafoor

But as for those who disbelieve, for them is fire of hell; it taketh not complete effect upon them so that they can die, nor is its torment lightened for them. Thus We punish every ingrate.

اور جو لوگ منکر ہیں انکے لئے ہے آگ دوزخ کی نہ ان پر حکم پہنچے کہ مر جائیں اور نہ ان پر ہلکی ہو وہاں کی کچھ کلفت یہ سزا دیتےہیں ہم ہر ناشکر کو [۴۵]

وَهُمْ يَصْطَرِخُونَ فِيهَا رَبَّنَآ أَخْرِجْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَٰلِحًا غَيْرَ ٱلَّذِى كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ ۚ أَوَلَمْ نُعَمِّرْكُم مَّا يَتَذَكَّرُ فِيهِ مَن تَذَكَّرَ وَجَآءَكُمُ ٱلنَّذِيرُ ۖ فَذُوقُوا۟ فَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِن نَّصِيرٍ

Wa hum yastarikhoona feehaa Rabbanaa akhrijnaa na'mal saalihan ghairal lazee kunnaa na'mal; awa lamnu 'ammirkum maa yatazak karu feehi man tazakkara wa jaaa'akumun nazeeru fazooqoo famaa lizzaalimeena min naseer

And they cry for help there, (saying): Our Lord! Release us; we will do right, not (the wrong) that we used to do. Did not We grant you a life long enough for him who reflected to reflect therein? And the warner came unto you. Now taste (the flavour of your deeds), for evil-doers have no helper.

اور وہ چلائیں اس میں اے رب ہم کو نکال کہ ہم کچھ بھلا کر لیں وہ نہیں جو کرتے رہے [۴۶] کیا ہم نے عمر نہ دی تھی تمکو اتنی کہ جس میں سوچ لے جس کو سوچنا ہو او رپہنچا تمہارے پاس ڈرانے والا اب چکھو کہ کوئی نہیں گنہگاروں کا مددگار [۴۷]

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَٰلِمُ غَيْبِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

Innal laaha 'aalimu ghaibis samaawaati wal ard; innahoo 'aleemum bizaatis sudoor

Lo! Allah is the Knower of the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. Lo! He is Aware of the secret of (men's) breasts.

اللہ بھید جاننے والا ہے آسمانوں کا اور زمین کا اس کو خوب معلوم ہے جو بات ہے دلوں میں [۴۸]

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَٰٓئِفَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهُۥ ۖ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ كُفْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا مَقْتًۭا ۖ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ كُفْرُهُمْ إِلَّا خَسَارًۭا

Huwal lazee ja'alakum khalaaa'ifa fil ard; faman kafara fa'alaihi kufruhoo; wa laa yazeedul kaafireena kufruhum 'inda Rabbihim illaa maqtanw wa la yazeedul kaafireena kufruhum illaa khasaaraa

He it is Who hath made you regents in the earth; so he who disbelieveth, his disbelief be on his own head. Their disbelief increaseth for the disbelievers, in their Lord's sight, naught save abhorrence. Their disbelief increaseth for the disbelievers naught save loss.

وہی ہے جس نے کیا تمکو قائم مقام زمین میں [۴۹] پھر جو کوئی ناشکری کرے تو اس پر پڑے اسکی ناشکری اور منکروں کو نہ بڑھے گی انکے انکار سے ان کے رب کے سامنے مگر بیزاری اور منکروں کو نہ بڑھے گا انکے انکار سے مگر نقصان [۵۰]

قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ شُرَكَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَرُونِى مَاذَا خَلَقُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌۭ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ أَمْ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ كِتَٰبًۭا فَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَتٍۢ مِّنْهُ ۚ بَلْ إِن يَعِدُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضًا إِلَّا غُرُورًا

Qul ara'aytum shurakaaa'a kumul lazeena tad'oona min doonil laah; aroonee maazaa khalaqoo minal ardi am lahum shirkun fis samaawaati am aatainaahum Kitaaban fahum 'alaa baiyinatim minh; bal iny ya'iiduz zaalimoona ba 'duhum ba'dan illaa ghurooraa

Say: Have ye seen your partner-gods to whom ye pray beside Allah? Show me what they created of the earth! Or have they any portion in the heavens? Or have We given them a scripture so they act on clear proof therefrom? Nay, the evil-doers promise one another only to deceive.

تو کہہ بھلا دیکھو تو اپنے شریکوں کو جن کو پکارتے ہو اللہ کے سوائے دکھلاؤ تو مجھ کو کیا بنایا انہوں نے زمین میں یا کچھ ان کا ساجھا ہے آسمانوں میں [۵۱] یا ہم نے دی ہے انکو کوئی کتاب سو یہ سند رکھتے ہیں اس کی [۵۲] کوئی نہیں پر جو وعدہ بتلاتے ہیں گنہگار ایک دوسرے کو سب فریب ہے [۵۳]

۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُمْسِكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ أَن تَزُولَا ۚ وَلَئِن زَالَتَآ إِنْ أَمْسَكَهُمَا مِنْ أَحَدٍۢ مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حَلِيمًا غَفُورًۭا

Innal laaha yumsikus samaawaati wal arda an tazoolaaa; wa la'in zaalataaa in amsa kahumaa min ahadim mim ba'dih; innahoo kaana Haleeman Ghafooraa

Lo! Allah graspeth the heavens and the earth that they deviate not, and if they were to deviate there is not one that could grasp them after Him. Lo! He is ever Clement, Forgiving.

تحقیق اللہ تھام رہا ہے آسمانوں کو اور زمین کو کہ ٹل نہ جائیں اور اگر ٹل جائیں تو کوئی نہ تھام سکے انکو اس کے سوائے [۵۴] وہ ہے تحمل والا بخشنے والا [۵۵]

وَأَقْسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ لَئِن جَآءَهُمْ نَذِيرٌۭ لَّيَكُونُنَّ أَهْدَىٰ مِنْ إِحْدَى ٱلْأُمَمِ ۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ نَذِيرٌۭ مَّا زَادَهُمْ إِلَّا نُفُورًا

Wa aqsamoo billaahi jahda aymaanihim la'in jaaa'ahum nazeerul layakoonunna ahdaa min ihdal umami falam maa jaaa'ahum nazeerum maa zaadahum illaa nufooraa

And they swore by Allah, their most binding oath, that if a warner came unto them they would be more tractable than any of the nations; yet, when a warner came unto them it aroused in them naught save repugnance,

اور قسمیں کھاتے تھے اللہ کی تاکید کی قسمیں اپنی کہ اگر آئے گا انکے پاس کوئی ڈر سنانے والا البتہ بہتر راہ چلیں گے ہر ایک امت سے پھر جب آیا ان کے پاس ڈر سنانے والا اور زیادہ ہو گیا ان کا بدکنا

ٱسْتِكْبَارًۭا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَكْرَ ٱلسَّيِّئِ ۚ وَلَا يَحِيقُ ٱلْمَكْرُ ٱلسَّيِّئُ إِلَّا بِأَهْلِهِۦ ۚ فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا سُنَّتَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ۚ فَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ ٱللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًۭا ۖ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ ٱللَّهِ تَحْوِيلًا

Istakbaaran fil ardi wa makras sayyi'; wa laa yaheequl makrus sayyi'u illaa bi ahlih; fahal yanzuroona illaa sunnatal awwaleen; falan tajida lisunnatil laahi tabdeelanw wa lan tajida lisunnatil laahi tahweela

(Shown in their) behaving arrogantly in the land and plotting evil; and the evil plot encloseth but the men who make it. Then, can they expect aught save the treatment of the folk of old? Thou wilt not find for Allah's way of treatment any substitute, nor wilt thou find for Allah's way of treatment aught of power to change.

غرور کرنا ملک میں اور داؤ کرنا برے کام کا اور برائی کا داؤ الٹے گا انہی داؤں والوں پر [۵۶] پھر اب وہی راہ دیکھتے ہیں پہلوں کے دستور کی سو تو نہ پائے گا اللہ کا دستور بدلتا اور نہ پائے گا اللہ کا دستور ٹلتا [۵۷]

أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوٓا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةًۭ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعْجِزَهُۥ مِن شَىْءٍۢ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَلِيمًۭا قَدِيرًۭا

Awalam yaseeroo fil ardi fa yanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul lazeena min qblihim wa kaanoo ashadda minhum quwwah; wa maa kaanal laahu liyu'jizahoo min shai'in fis samaawaati wa laa fil ard; innahoo kaana 'Aleeman Qadeeraa

Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them, and they were mightier than these in power? Allah is not such that aught in the heavens or in the earth escapeth Him. Lo! He is the Wise, the Mighty.

کیا پھرے نہیں ملک میں کہ دیکھ لیں کیسا ہوا انجام ان لوگوں کا جو ان سے پہلے تھے اور تھے ان سے بہت سخت زور میں اور اللہ وہ نہیں جس کو تھکائے کوئی چیز آسمانوں میں اور نہ زمین میں وہی ہے سب کچھ جانتا کر سکتا [۵۸]

وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلنَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ مَا تَرَكَ عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِهَا مِن دَآبَّةٍۢ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِۦ بَصِيرًۢا

Wa law yu'aakhizul laahun naasa bima kasaboo maa taraka 'alaa zahrihaa min daaabbatinw wa laakiny yu'akhkhiruhum ilaaa ajalim musamman fa izaa jaaa'a ajaluhum fa innal laaha kaana bi'ibaadihee Baseeraa

If Allah took mankind to task by that which they deserve, He would not leave a living creature on the surface of the earth; but He reprieveth them unto an appointed term, and when their term cometh - then verily (they will know that) Allah is ever Seer of His slaves.

اور اگر پکڑ کرے اللہ لوگوں کی ان کی کمائی پرنہ چھوڑے زمین کی پیٹھ پر ایک بھی ہلنے چلنے والا [۵۹] پر ان کو ڈھیل دیتا ہے ایک مقرر وعدہ تک پھر جب آئے ان کا وعدہ تو اللہ کی نگاہ میں ہیں اس کے سب بندے [۶۰]
