As-Saaffaat

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلصَّٰٓفَّٰتِ صَفًّۭا

Wassaaaffaati saffaa

By those who set the ranks in battle order

قسم ہے صف باندھنے والوں کی قطار ہو کر [۱]

فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ زَجْرًۭا

Fazzaajiraati zajraa

And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof

پھر ڈانٹنے والوں کی جھڑک کر [۲]

فَٱلتَّٰلِيَٰتِ ذِكْرًا

Fattaaliyaati Zikra

And those who read (the Word) for a reminder,

پھر پڑھنے والوں کی یاد کر کر [۳]

إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَٰحِدٌۭ

Inna Illaahakum la Waahid

Lo! thy Lord is surely One;

بیشک حاکم تم سب کا ایک ہے [۴]

رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَشَٰرِقِ

Rabbus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa wa Rabbul mashaariq

Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings.

رب آسمانوں کا اور زمین کا اور جو کچھ انکے بیچ میں ہے اور رب مشرقوں کا [۵]

إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ

Innaa zaiyannas samaaa 'ad dunyaa bizeenatinil kawaakib

Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets;

ہم نے رونق دی ورلے آسمان کو ایک رونق جو تارے ہیں [۶]

وَحِفْظًۭا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ مَّارِدٍۢ

Wa hifzam min kulli Shaitaanim maarid

With security from every froward devil.

اور بچاؤ بنایا ہر شیطان سر کش سے [۷]

لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍۢ

Laa yassamma 'oona ilal mala il a'alaa wa yuqzafoona min kulli jaanib

They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side,

سن نہیں سکتے اوپرکی مجلس تک اور پھینکے جاتےہیں ان پر ہر طرف سے

دُحُورًۭا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ وَاصِبٌ

Duhooranw wa lahum 'azaabunw waasib

Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment;

بھگانے کو [۸] اور ان پر مار ہے ہمیشہ کو [۹]

إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ ٱلْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌۭ ثَاقِبٌۭ

Illaa man khatifal khatfata fa atba'ahoo shihaabun saaqib

Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame.

مگر جو کوئی اچک لایا جھپ سے پھر پیچھے لگا اس کے انگارا چمکتا [۱۰]

فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُم مِّن طِينٍۢ لَّازِبٍۭ

Fastaftihim ahum ashaddu khalqan am man khalaqnaa; innaa khalaqnaahum min teenil laazib

Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay.

اب پوچھ ان سے کیا یہ بنانے مشکل ہیں یا جتنی خلقت کہ ہم نے بنائی [۱۱] ہم نے ہی انکو بنایا ہے ایک چپکتے گارے سے [۱۲]

بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ

Bal'ajibta wa yaskharoon

Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock

بلکہ تو کرتا ہے تعجب اور وہ کرتے ہیں ٹھٹھے [۱۳]

وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ

Wa izaa zukkiroo laa yazkuroon

And heed not when they are reminded,

اور جب انکو سمجھائیے نہیں سوچتے

وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ ءَايَةًۭ يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ

Wa izaa ra aw Aayatinw yastaskhiroon

And seek to scoff when they behold a portent.

اور جب دیکھیں کچھ نشانی ہنسی میں ڈال دیتے ہیں

وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌ

Wa qaalooo in haazaa illaa sihrum mubeen

And they say: Lo! this is mere magic;

اور کہتے ہیں اور کچھ نہیں یہ تو کھلا جادو ہے [۱۴]

أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

'A-izaa mitnaa wa kunnaa turaabanw wa 'izaaman 'ainnaa lamab'oosoon

When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)?

کیا جب ہم مر گئے اور ہو گئے مٹی اور ہڈیاں تو کیا ہم کو پھر اٹھائیں گے

أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ

Awa aabaa'unal awwaloon

And our forefathers?

کیا اور ہمارے اگلے باپ دادوں کو بھی [۱۵]

قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ

Qul na'am wa antum daakhiroon

Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low.

تو کہہ کہ ہاں اور تم ذلیل ہو گے

فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ

Fa innamaa hiya zajra tunw waahidatun fa izaa hum yanzuroon

There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold,

سو وہ اٹھانا تو یہی ہے ایک جھڑکی پھر اسی وقت یہ لگیں گے دیکھنے [۱۶]

وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ

Qa qaaloo yaa wailanaa haazaa Yawmud-Deen

And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment.

اور کہیں گے اے خرابی ہماری یہ آگیا دن جزا کا [۱۷]

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ

Haazaa Yawmul Faslil lazee kuntum bihee tukaziboon

This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny.

یہ ہے دن فیصلہ کا جس کو تم جھٹلاتے تھے [۱۸]

۞ ٱحْشُرُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَأَزْوَٰجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْبُدُونَ

Uhshurul lazeena zalamoo wa azwaajahum wa maa kaanoo ya'budoon

(And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship

جمع کرو گنہگاروں کو اور انکے جوڑوں کو اور جو کچھ پوجتے تھے [۱۹]

مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَٱهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

Min doonil laahi fahdoohum ilaa siraatil Jaheem

Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell;

اللہ کے سوائے پھر چلاؤ ان کو دوزخ کی راہ پر [۲۰]

وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسْـُٔولُونَ

Wa qifoohum innahum mas'ooloon

And stop them, for they must be questioned.

اور کھڑا رکھو انکو ان سے پوچھنا ہے [۲۱]

مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ

Maa lakum laa tanaasaroon

What aileth you that ye help not one another?

کیا ہوا تم کو ایک دوسرے کی مدد نہیں کرتے

بَلْ هُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ

Bal humul Yawma mustaslimoon

Nay, but this day they make full submission.

کوئی نہیں وہ آج اپنے آپ کو پکڑواتے ہیں [۲۲]

وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

Wa aqbala ba'duhum 'alaa ba'diny yatasaaa'aloon

And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning.

اور منہ کیا بعضوں نے بعضوں کی طرف لگے پوچھنے

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ

Qaalooo innakum kuntum taatoonanaa 'anil yameen

They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth).

بولے تم ہی تھے کہ آتے تھے ہم پر داہنی طرف سے [۲۳]

قَالُوا۟ بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ

Qaaloo bal lam takoonoo mu'mineen

They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers.

وہ بولے کوئی نہیں پر تم ہی نہ تھے یقین لانے والے

وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍۭ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًۭا طَٰغِينَ

Wa maa kaana lanaa 'alaikum min sultaanim bal kuntum qawman taagheen

We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk.

اور ہمارا تم پر کچھ زور نہ تھا پر تم ہی تھے لوگ حد سے نکل چلنے والے

فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَآ ۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ

Fahaqqa 'alainaa qawlu Rabbinaaa innaa lazaaa'iqoon

Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom).

سو ثابت ہو گئ ہم پر بات ہمارے رب کی بیشک ہم کو مزہ چکھنا ہے

فَأَغْوَيْنَٰكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَٰوِينَ

Fa aghwainaakum innaa kunnaa ghaaween

Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray.

ہم نے تم کو گمراہ کیا جیسے ہم خود تھے گمراہ [۲۴]

فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ

Fa innahum Yawma'izin fil'azaabi mushtarikoon

Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom.

سو وہ سب اس دن تکلیف میں شریک ہیں [۲۵]

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

Innaa kazaalika naf'alu bil mujrimeen

Lo! thus deal We with the guilty.

ہم ایسا ہی کرتے ہیں گنہگاروں کے حق میں

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

Innahum kaanooo izaa qeela lahum laaa ilaaha illal laahu yastakbiroon

For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful

وہ تھے کہ ان سے جب کوئی کہتا کسی کی بندگی نہیں سوائے اللہ کے تو غرور کرتے [۲۶]

وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍۢ مَّجْنُونٍۭ

Wa yaqooloona a'innaa lataarikooo aalihatinaa lishaa'irim majnoon

And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet?

اور کہتے کیا ہم چھوڑ دیں گے اپنے معبودوں کو کہنے سے ایک شاعر دیوانہ کے

بَلْ جَآءَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

bal jaaa'a bilhaqqi wa saddaqal mursaleen

Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him).

کوئی نہیں وہ لیکر آیا ہے سچا دین اور سچا مانتا ہے سب رسولوں کو [۲۷]

إِنَّكُمْ لَذَآئِقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَلِيمِ

Innakum lazaaa'iqul 'azaabil aleem

Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom -

بیشک تم کو تو چکھنا ہے عذاب دردناک

وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Wa maa tujzawna illaa maa kuntum ta'maloon

Ye are requited naught save what ye did -

اور وہ ہی بدلا پاؤ گے جو کچھ تم کرتے تھے [۲۸]

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ

Illaa 'ibaadal laahil mukhlaseen

Save single-minded slaves of Allah;

مگر جو بندے اللہ کے ہیں چنے ہوئے [۲۹]

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌۭ مَّعْلُومٌۭ

Ulaaa'ika lahum rizqum ma'loom

For them there is a known provision,

وہ لوگ جو ہیں انکے واسطے روزی ہے مقرر

فَوَٰكِهُ ۖ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ

Fa waakihu wa hum mukramoon

Fruits. And they will be honoured

میوے [۳۰] اور انکی عزت ہے [۳۱]

فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

Fee jannaatin Na'eem

In the Gardens of delight,

نعمت کے باغوں میں

عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ

'Alaa sururim mutaqaa bileen

On couches facing one another;

تختوں پر ایک دوسرے کے سامنے

يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍۢ مِّن مَّعِينٍۭ

Yutaafu 'alaihim bikaasim mim ma'een

A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them,

لوگ لئے پھرتے ہیں ان کے پاس پیالہ شراب صاف کا

بَيْضَآءَ لَذَّةٍۢ لِّلشَّٰرِبِينَ

Baidaaa'a laz zatil lish shaaribeen

White, delicious to the drinkers,

سفید رنگ مزہ دینے والی پینے والوں کو

لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌۭ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ

Laa feehaa ghawlunw wa laa hum 'anhaa yunzafoon

Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby.

نہ اس میں سر پھرتا ہے اور نہ وہ اس کو پی کر بہکیں [۳۲]

وَعِندَهُمْ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ عِينٌۭ

Wa 'indahum qaasiraatut tarfi 'een

And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes,

اور ان کے پاس ہیں عورتیں نیچی گناہ رکھنے والیاں بڑی بڑی آنکھوں والیاں [۳۳]

كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌۭ مَّكْنُونٌۭ

Ka annahunna baidum maknoon

(Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich).

گویا وہ انڈے ہیں چھپے دھرے [۳۴]

فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

Fa aqbala ba'duhum 'alaa badiny yatasaaa 'aloon

And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning.

پھر منہ کیا ایک نے دوسرے کی طرف لگے پوچھنے

قَالَ قَآئِلٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّى كَانَ لِى قَرِينٌۭ

Qaala qaaa'ilum minhum innee kaana lee qareen

A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade

بولا ایک بولنے والا ان میں میرا تھا ایک ساتھی

يَقُولُ أَءِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُصَدِّقِينَ

Yaqoolu a'innnaka laminal musaddiqeen

Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)?

کہا کرتا کیا تو یقین کرتا ہے

أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ

'A-izaa mitnaa wa kunnaa turaabanw wa 'izaaman 'ainnaa lamadeenoon

Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book?

کیا جب ہم مر گئے اور ہو گئے مٹی اور ہڈیاں کیا ہم کو جزا ملے گی [۳۵]

قَالَ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ

Qaala hal antum muttali'oon

He saith: Will ye look?

کہنے لگا بھلا تم جھانک کر دیکھو گے [۳۶]

فَٱطَّلَعَ فَرَءَاهُ فِى سَوَآءِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

Fattala'a fara aahu fee sawaaa'il Jaheem

Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell.

پھر جھانکا تو اس کو دیکھا بیچوں بیچ دوزخ کے

قَالَ تَٱللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرْدِينِ

Qaala tallaahi in kitta laturdeen

He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin,

بولا قسم اللہ کی تو تو مجھ کو ڈالنے لگا تھا گڑھے میں

وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّى لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ

Wa law laa ni'matu Rabbee lakuntu minal muhdareen

And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom).

اور اگر نہ ہوتا میرے رب کا فضل تو میں بھی ہوتا انہیں میں جو پکڑے ہوئے آئے [۳۷]

أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ

Afamaa nahnu bimaiyiteen

Are we then not to die

کیا اب ہم کو مرنا نہیں

إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ

Illa mawtatanal oola wa maa nahnu bimu'azzabeen

Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished?

مگر جو پہلی بار مر چکے اور ہم کو تکلیف نہیں پہنچنے کی

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

Inna haazaa falya'ma lil'aamiloon

Lo! this is the supreme triumph.

بیشک یہی ہے بڑی مراد ملنی

لِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ ٱلْعَٰمِلُونَ

Limisli haaza falya'ma lil 'aamiloon

For the like of this, then, let the workers work.

ایسی چیزوں کے واسطے چاہئے محنت کریں محنت کرنے والے [۳۸]

أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌۭ نُّزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ ٱلزَّقُّومِ

Azaalika khairun nuzulan am shajaratuz Zaqqom

Is this better as a welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum?

بھلا یہ بہتر ہے مہمانی یا درخت سیہنڈ کا

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَٰهَا فِتْنَةًۭ لِّلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Innaa ja'alnaahaa fitnatal lizzaalimeen

Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers.

ہم نے اس کو رکھا ہے ایک بلا ظالموں کے واسطے

إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌۭ تَخْرُجُ فِىٓ أَصْلِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

Innahaa shajaratun takhruju feee aslil Jaheem

Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell.

وہ ایک درخت ہے کہ نکلتا ہے دوزخ کی جڑ میں [۳۹]

طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ

Tal'uhaa ka annahoo ru'oosush Shayaateen

Its crop is as it were the heads of devils

اس کا خوشہ جیسے سر شیطان کے [۴۰]

فَإِنَّهُمْ لَءَاكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ

Fa innahum la aakiloona minhaa famaali'oona minhal butoon

And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith.

سو وہ کھائیں گے اس میں سے پھر بھریں گے اس سے پیٹ

ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًۭا مِّنْ حَمِيمٍۢ

Summa inna lahum 'alaihaa lashawbam min hameem

And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water

پھر ان کے واسطے اس کے اوپر ملونی ہے جلتے پانی کی [۴۱]

ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى ٱلْجَحِيمِ

Summa inna marji'ahum la ilal Jaheem

And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell.

پھر ان کو لیجانا آگ کے ڈھیر میں [۴۲]

إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا۟ ءَابَآءَهُمْ ضَآلِّينَ

Innahum alfaw aabaaa'ahum daaalleen

They indeed found their fathers astray,

انہوں نے پایا اپنے باپ دادوں کو بہکے ہوئے

فَهُمْ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ

Fahum 'alaa aasaarihim yuhra'oon

But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps.

سو وہ انہی کے قدموں پر دوڑتے ہیں [۴۳]

وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Wa laqad dalla qablahum aksarul awwaleen

And verily most of the men of old went astray before them,

اور بہک چکے ہیں ان سے پہلے بہت لوگ اگلے

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ

Wa laqad arsalnaa feehim munzireen

And verily We sent among them warners.

اور ہم نے بھیجے ہیں ان میں ڈر سنانے والے

فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ

Fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul munzareen

Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned,

اب دیکھ کیسا ہوا انجام ڈرائے ہوؤں کا

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ

Illaa 'ibaadal laahil mukhlaseen

Save single-minded slaves of Allah.

مگر جو بندے اللہ کے ہیں چنے ہوئے [۴۴]

وَلَقَدْ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٌۭ فَلَنِعْمَ ٱلْمُجِيبُونَ

Wa laqad naadaanaa Noohun falani'mal mujeeboon

And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer

اور ہم کو پکارا تھا نوح نے سو کیا خوب پہنچنے والے ہیں ہم پکار پر

وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

Wa jajainaahu wa ahlahoo minal karbil 'azeem

And We saved him and his household from the great distress,

اور بچا دیا اسکو اور اسکے گھر کو اس بڑی گھبراہٹ سے

وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ

Wa ja'alnaa zurriyyatahoo hummul baaqeen

And made his seed the survivors,

اور رکھا اس کی اولاد کو وہی باقی رہنے والے

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ

Wa taraknaa 'alaihi fil aakhireen

And left for him among the later folk (the salutation):

اور باقی رکھا اس پر پچھلے لوگوں میں

سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍۢ فِى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Salaamun 'alaa Noohin fil 'aalameen

Peace be unto Noah among the peoples!

کہ سلام ہے نوح پر سارے جہان والوں میں

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Innaa kazaalika najzil muhsineen

Lo! thus do We reward the good.

ہم یوں بدلا دیتے ہیں نیکی والوں کو

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Innahoo min 'ibaadinal mu'mineen

Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves.

وہ ہے ہمارے ایماندار بندوں میں

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ

Summa aghraqnal aakhareen

Then We did drown the others.

پھر ڈوبا دیا ہم نے دوسروں کو [۴۵]

۞ وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ لَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ

Wa ina min shee'atihee la Ibraaheem

And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham

اور اسی کی راہ والوں میں ہے ابراہیم [۴۶]

إِذْ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلْبٍۢ سَلِيمٍ

Iz jaaa'a Rabbahoo bi qalbin saleem

When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart;

جب آیا اپنے رب کے پاس لیکر دل نروگا [۴۷]

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ

Iz qaala li abeehi wa qawmihee maazaa ta'budoon

When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship?

جب کہا اپنے باپ کو اور اسکی قوم کو تم کیا پوجتے ہو

أَئِفْكًا ءَالِهَةًۭ دُونَ ٱللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ

A'ifkan aalihatan doonal laahi tureedoon

Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire?

کیا جھوٹ بنائے ہوئے حاکموں کو اللہ کے سوائے چاہتے ہو [۴۸]

فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Famaa zannukum bi Rabbil'aalameen

What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds?

پھر کیا خیال کیا ہے تم نے پروردگار عالم کو [۴۹]

فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةًۭ فِى ٱلنُّجُومِ

Fanazara nazratan finnujoom

And he glanced a glance at the stars

پھر نگاہ کی ایک بار تاروں میں

فَقَالَ إِنِّى سَقِيمٌۭ

Faqaala inee saqeem

Then said: Lo! I feel sick!

پھر کہا میں بیمار ہونے والا ہوں

فَتَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ

Fatawallaw 'anhu mudbireen

And they turned their backs and went away from him.

پھر پھر گئے وہ اس سے پیٹھ دے کر

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ

Faraagha ilaaa aalihatihim faqaala alaa taakuloon

Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat?

پھر جا گھسا ان کے بتوں میں پھر بولا تم کیوں نہیں کھاتے [۵۰]

مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنطِقُونَ

Maa lakum laa tantiqoon

What aileth you that ye speak not?

تم کو کیا ہے کہ نہیں بولتے [۵۱]

فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًۢا بِٱلْيَمِينِ

Faraagha 'alaihim darbam bilyameen

Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand.

پھر گھسا ان پر مارتا ہوا داہنے ہاتھ سے [۵۲]

فَأَقْبَلُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ

Fa aqbalooo ilaihi yaziffoon

And (his people) came toward him, hastening.

پھر لوگ آئے اس پر دوڑ کر گھبراتے ہوئے [۵۳]

قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ

Qaala ata'budoona maa tanhitoon

He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve

بولا کیوں پوجتے ہو جو آپ تراشتے ہو

وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ

Wallaahu khalaqakum wa maa ta'maloon

When Allah hath created you and what ye make?

اور اللہ نے بنایا تم کو اور جو تم بناتے ہو [۵۴]

قَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ لَهُۥ بُنْيَٰنًۭا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِى ٱلْجَحِيمِ

Qaalub noo lahoo bun yaanan fa alqoohu fil jaheem

They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire.

بولے بناؤ اس کے واسطے ایک عمارت پھر ڈالو اس کو آگ کے ڈھیر میں

فَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًۭا فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ

Fa araadoo bihee kaidan faja 'alnaahumul asfaleen

And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost.

پھر چاہنے لگے اس پر برا داؤ کرنا پھر ہم نے ڈالا انہی کو نیچے [۵۵]

وَقَالَ إِنِّى ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ

Wa qaala innee zaahibun ilaa Rabbee sa yahdeen

And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me.

اور بولا میں جاتا ہوں اپنے رب کی طرف وہ مجھ کو راہ دے گا [۵۶]

رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

Rabbi hab lee minas saaliheen

My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous.

اے رب بخش مجھ کو کوئی نیک بیٹا [۵۷]

فَبَشَّرْنَٰهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ حَلِيمٍۢ

Fabashsharnaahu bighulaamin haleem

So We gave him tidings of a gentle son.

پھر خوشخبری دی ہم نے اسکو ایک لڑکے کی جو ہو گا تحمل والا [۵۸]

فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ

Falamma balagha ma'a hus sa'ya qaala yaa buniya inneee araa fil manaami anneee azbahuka fanzur maazaa taraa; qaala yaaa abatif 'al maa tu'maru satajidunee in shaaa'allaahu minas saabireen

And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast.

پھر جب پہنچا اس کے ساتھ دوڑنے کو کہا اے بیٹے میں دیکھتا ہوں خواب میں کہ تجھ کو ذبح کرتا ہوں پھر دیکھ تو تو کیا دیکھتا ہے بولا اے باپ کر ڈال جو تجھ کو حکم ہوتا ہے تو مجھکو کو پائے گا اگر اللہ نے چاہا سہارنے والا [۵۹]

فَلَمَّآ أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلْجَبِينِ

Falammaaa aslamaa wa tallahoo liljabeen

Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face,

پھر جب دونوں نے حکم مانا اور پچھایا اسکو ماتھے کے بل [۶۰]

وَنَٰدَيْنَٰهُ أَن يَٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ

Wa naadainaahu ai yaaaa Ibraheem

We called unto him: O Abraham!

اور ہم نے اس کو پکارا یوں کہ اے ابراہیم

قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ ٱلرُّءْيَآ ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Qad saddaqtar ru'yaa; innaa kazaalika najzil muhsineen

Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good.

تو نے سچ کر دکھایا خواب [۶۱] ہم یوں دیتے ہیں بدلا نیکی کرنے والوں کو

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْبَلَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلْمُبِينُ

Inna haazaa lahuwal balaaa'ul mubeen

Lo! that verily was a clear test.

بیشک یہی ہے صریح جانچنا [۶۲]

وَفَدَيْنَٰهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍۢ

Wa fadainaahu bizibhin 'azeem

Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim.

اور اس کا بدلہ دیا ہم نے ایک جانور ذبح کرنے کے واسطے بڑا [۶۳]

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ

Wa taraknaa 'alaihi fil aakhireen

And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation):

اور باقی رکھا ہم نے اس پر پچھلے لوگوں میں

سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

Salaamun 'alaaa Ibraaheem

Peace be unto Abraham!

کہ سلام ہو ابراہیم پر [۶۴]

كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Kazaalika najzil muhsineen

Thus do We reward the good.

ہم یوں دیتے ہیں بدلا نیکی کرنے والوں کو

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Innahoo min 'ibaadinal mu'mineen

Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves.

وہ ہے ہمارے ایماندار بندوں میں [۶۵]

وَبَشَّرْنَٰهُ بِإِسْحَٰقَ نَبِيًّۭا مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

Wa bashsharnaahu bi Ishaaqa Nabiyayam minas saaliheen

And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous.

اور خوشخبری دی ہم نے اسکو اسحٰق کی جو نبی ہو گا نیک بختوں میں [۶۶]

وَبَٰرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسْحَٰقَ ۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌۭ وَظَالِمٌۭ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ مُبِينٌۭ

Wa baaraknaa 'alaihi wa 'alaaa Ishaaq; wa min zurriyya tihimaa muhsinunw wa zaalimul linafshihee mubeen

And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves.

اور برکت دی ہم نے اس پر اسحٰق پر اور دونوں کی اولاد میں نیکی والے ہیں اور بدکار بھی ہیں اپنے حق میں صریح [۶۷]

وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ

Wa laqad mananna alaa Moosaa wa Haaroon

And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron,

اور ہم نے احسان کیا موسٰی اور ہارون پر

وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

Wa najjainaahumaa wa qawmahumaa minal karbil 'azeem

And saved them and their people from the great distress,

اور بچا دیا ہم نے انکو اور ان کی قوم کو اس بڑی گھبراہٹ سے [۶۸]

وَنَصَرْنَٰهُمْ فَكَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ

Wa nasarnaahum fakaanoo humul ghaalibeen

And helped them so that they became the victors.

اور انکی ہم نے مدد کی تو رہے وہی غالب [۶۹]

وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُمَا ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ٱلْمُسْتَبِينَ

Wa aatainaahumal Kitaabal mustabeen

And We gave them the clear Scripture

اور ہم نے دی انکو کتاب واضح [۷۰]

وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ

Wa hadainaahumus Siraatal Mustaqeem

And showed them the right path.

اور سجھائی انکو سیدھی راہ [۷۱]

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ

Wa taraknaa 'alaihimaa fil aakhireen

And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation):

اور باقی رکھا ان پر پچھلے لوگوں میں کہ

سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ

Salaamun 'alaa Moosaa wa Haaroon

Peace be unto Moses and Aaron!

سلام ہے موسٰی اور ہارون پر

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Innaa kazaalika najzil muhsineen

Lo! thus do We reward the good.

ہم یوں دیتے ہیں بدلا نیکی کرنے والوں کو

إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Innahumaa min 'ibaadinal mu'mineen

Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves.

تحقیق وہ دونوں ہیں ہمارے ایماندار بندوں میں [۷۲]

وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

Wa inna Ilyaasa laminal mursaleen

And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn),

اور تحقیق الیاس ہے رسولوں میں

إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

Iz qaala liqawmiheee alaa tattaqoon

When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)?

جب اس نے کہا اپنی قوم کو کیا تم کو ڈر نہیں

أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًۭا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْخَٰلِقِينَ

Atad'oona Ba'lanw wa tazaroona ahsanal khaaliqeen

Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators,

کیا تم پکارتے ہو بعل کو اور چھوڑتے ہو بہتر بنانے والے کو [۷۳]

ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Allaaha Rabbakum wa Rabba aabaaa'ikumul awwaleen

Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?

جو اللہ ہے رب تمہارا اور رب تمہارے اگلے باپ دادوں کا [۷۴]

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ

Fakazzaboohu fa inna hum lamuhdaroon

But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom)

پھر اس کو جھٹلایا سو وہ آنے والے ہیں پکڑے ہوئے [۷۵]

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ

Illaa 'ibaadal laahil mukhlaseen

Save single-minded slaves of Allah.

مگر جو بندے ہیں اللہ کے چنے ہوئے [۷۶]

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ

Wa taraknaa 'alaihi fil aakhireen

And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation):

اور باقی رکھا ہم نے اس پر پچھلے لوگوں میں

سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلْ يَاسِينَ

Salaamun 'alaaa Ilyaaseen

Peace be unto Elias!

کہ سلام ہے الیاس پر [۷۷]

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Innaa kazaalika najzil muhsineen

Lo! thus do We reward the good.

ہم یوں دیتے ہیں بدلا نیکی کرنے والوں کو

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Innahoo min 'ibaadinal mu'mineen

Lo! he is one of our believing slaves.

وہ ہے ہمارے ایماندار بندوں میں

وَإِنَّ لُوطًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

Wa inna Lootal laminal mursaleen

And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn).

اور تحقیق لوط ہے رسولوں میں سے

إِذْ نَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ

Iz najjainaahu wa ahlahooo ajma'een

When We saved him and his household, every one,

جب بچا دیا ہم نے اسکو اور اسکے سارے گھر والوں کو

إِلَّا عَجُوزًۭا فِى ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ

Illaa 'ajoozan fil ghaabireen

Save an old woman among those who stayed behind;

مگر ایک بڑھیا کہ رہ گئ رہ جانے والوں میں [۷۸]

ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ

Summa dammarnal aakhareen

Then We destroyed the others.

پھر جڑ سے اکھاڑ پھینکا ہم نے دوسروں کو [۷۹]

وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِم مُّصْبِحِينَ

Wa innakum latamurroona 'alaihim musbiheen

And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning

اور تم گذرتے ہو ان پر صبح کے وقت

وَبِٱلَّيْلِ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

Wa billail; afalaa ta'qiloon

And at night-time; have ye then no sense?

اور رات بھی پھر کیا نہیں سمجھتے [۸۰]

وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

Wa inna Yoonusa laminal mursaleen

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn)

اور تحقیق یونس ہے رسولوں میں سے

إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ

Iz abaqa ilal fulkil mash hoon

When he fled unto the laden ship,

جب بھاگ کر پہنچا اس بھری کشتی پر

فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُدْحَضِينَ

Fasaahama fakaana minal mudhadeen

And then drew lots and was of those rejected;

قرعہ ڈلوایا تو نکلا خطاوار [۸۱]

فَٱلْتَقَمَهُ ٱلْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌۭ

Faltaqamahul hootu wa huwa muleem

And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy;

پھر لقمہ کیا اس کو مچھلی نے اور وہ الزام کھایا ہوا تھا [۸۲]

فَلَوْلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ

Falaw laaa annahoo kaana minal musabbiheen

And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah)

پھر اگر نہ ہوتی یہ بات کہ وہ یاد کرتا تھا پاک ذات کو

لَلَبِثَ فِى بَطْنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ

Lalabisa fee batniheee ilaa Yawmi yub'asoon

He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised;

تو رہتا اسی کے پیٹ میں جس دن تک مردے زندہ ہوں [۸۳]

۞ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌۭ

Fanabaznaahu bil'araaa'i wa huwa saqeem

Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick;

پھر ڈال دیا ہم نے اس کو چٹیل میدان میں اور وہ بیمار تھا

وَأَنۢبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةًۭ مِّن يَقْطِينٍۢ

Wa ambatnaa 'alaihi shajaratam mai yaqteen

And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him;

اور اگایا ہم نے اس پر ایک درخت بیل والا [۸۴]

وَأَرْسَلْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِا۟ئَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ

Wa arsalnaahu ilaa mi'ati alfin aw yazeedoon

And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more

اور بھیجا اس کو لاکھ آدمیوں پر یا اس سے زیادہ [۸۵]

فَـَٔامَنُوا۟ فَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ

Fa aamanoo famatta' naahum ilaa heen

And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while.

پھر وہ یقین لائے پھر ہم نے فائدہ اٹھانے دیا انکو ایک وقت تک [۸۶]

فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ

Fastaftihim ali Rabbikal banaatu wa lahumul banoon

Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons?

اب ان سے پوچھ کیا تیرے رب کے یہاں بیٹیاں ہیں اور انکے یہاں بیٹے

أَمْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَٰثًۭا وَهُمْ شَٰهِدُونَ

Am khalaqnal malaaa'i kata inaasanw wa hm shaahidoon

Or created We the angels females while they were present?

یا ہم نے بنایا فرشتوں کو عورت اور وہ دیکھتے تھے

أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ

Alaaa innahum min ifkihim la yaqooloon

Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say:

سنتا ہے وہ اپنا جھوٹ بنایا کہتے ہیں کہ

وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ

Waladal laahu wa innhum lakaaziboon

Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie.

اللہ کے اولاد ہوئی اور وہ بیشک جھوٹے ہیں [۸۷]

أَصْطَفَى ٱلْبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلْبَنِينَ

Astafal banaati 'alal baneen

(And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons.

کیا اس نے پسند کیں بیٹیاں بیٹوں سے

مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ

Maa lakum kaifa tahkumoon

What aileth you? How judge ye?

کیا ہو گیا ہے تم کو کیسا انصاف کرتے ہو

أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

Afalaa tazakkaroon

Will ye not then reflect?

کیا تم دھیان نہیں کرتے ہو [۸۸]

أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَٰنٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

Am lakum sultaanum mubeen

Or have ye a clear warrant?

یا تمہارے پاس کوئی سند ہے کھلی

فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَٰبِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

Faatoo bi Kitaabikum in kuntum saadiqeen

Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful.

تو لاؤ اپنی کتاب اگر ہو تم سچے [۸۹]

وَجَعَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُۥ وَبَيْنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًۭا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ ٱلْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ

Wa ja'aloo bainahoo wa bainal jinnati nasabaa; wa laqad 'alimatil jinnatu innahum lamuhdaroon

And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him).

اور ٹھہرایا انہوں نے خدا میں اور جنوں میں ناتاا ور جنوں کو تو معلوم ہے کہ تحقیق و پکڑے ہوئے آئیں گے

سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

Subhaanal laahi 'ammaa yasifoon

Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him),

اللہ پاک ہے ان باتوں سے جو یہ بتاتے ہیں [۹۰]

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ

Illaa 'ibaadal laahil mukhlaseen

Save single-minded slaves of Allah.

مگر جو بندے ہیں اللہ کے چنے ہوئے [۹۱]

فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ

Fa innakum wa maa ta'ubdoon

Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship,

سو تم اور جن کو تم پوجتے ہو

مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَٰتِنِينَ

Maaa antum 'alaihi befaaatineen

Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him.

کسی کو اس کے ہاتھ سے بہکا کر نہیں لے سکتے

إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

Illaa man huwa saalil jaheem

Save him who is to burn in hell.

مگر اسی کو جو پہنچے والا ہے دوزخ میں [۹۲]

وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٌۭ مَّعْلُومٌۭ

Wa maa minnasa illaa lahoo maqaamum ma'loom

There is not one of us but hath his known position.

اور ہم میں جو ہے اس کا یک ٹھکانا ہے مقرر [۹۳]

وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ

Wa innaa llanah nus saaffoon

Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks,

اور ہم ہی ہیں صف باندھنے والے [۹۴]

وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ

Wa innaa lanah nul musabbihoon

Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise

اور ہم ہی ہیں پاکی بیان کرنے والے [۹۵]

وَإِن كَانُوا۟ لَيَقُولُونَ

Wa in kaanoo la yaqooloon

And indeed they used to say:

اور یہ تو کہا کرتے تھے

لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Law anna 'indana zikram minal awwaleen

If we had but a reminder from the men of old

اگر ہمارے پاس کچھ احوال ہوتا پہلے لوگوں کا

لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ

Lakunna 'ibaadal laahil mukhlaseen

We would be single-minded slaves of Allah.

تو ہم ہوتے بندے اللہ کے چنے ہوئے

فَكَفَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ

Fakafaroo bihee fasawfa ya'lamoon

Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know.

سو اس سے منکر ہو گئے اب آگے جان لیں گے [۹۶]

وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

Wa laqad sabaqat Kalimatunaa li'ibaadinal mursa leen

And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn)

اور پہلے ہو چکا ہمارا حکم اپنے بندوں کے حق میں جو کہ رسول ہیں

إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ ٱلْمَنصُورُونَ

Innaa hum lahumul mansooroon

That they verily would be helped,

بیشک انہی کو مدد دیجاتی ہے

وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ

Wa inna jundana lahumul ghaaliboon

And that Our host, they verily would be the victors.

اور ہمارا لشکر جو ہے بیشک وہی کے غالب ہے[۹۷]

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ

Fatawalla 'anhum hatta heen

So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile,

سو تو ان سے پھر آ ایک وقت تک

وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ

Wa absirhum fasawfa yubsiroon

And watch, for they will (soon) see.

اور انکو دیکھتا رہ کہ وہ آگے دیکھ لیں گے [۹۸]

أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ

Afabi'azaabinaa yasta'jiloon

Would they hasten on Our doom?

کیا ہماری آفت کو جلد مانگتے ہیں

فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ

Fa izaa nazala bisaahatihim fasaaa'a sabaahul munzareen

But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned.

پھر جب اترے گی ان کے میدان میں تو بری صبح ہو گی ڈرائے ہوؤں کی [۹۹]

وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ

Wa tawalla 'anhum hattaa heen

Withdraw from them awhile

اور پھر آ ان سے ایک وقت تک

وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ

Wa absir fasawfa yubsiroon

And watch, for they will (soon) see.

اور دیکھتا رہ اب آگے دیکھ لیں گے [۱۰۰]

سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

Subhaana Rabbika Rabbil 'izzati 'amma yasifoon

Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him)

پاک ذات ہے تیرے رب کی وہ پروردگار عزت والا پاک ہے ان باتوں سے جو بیان کرتےہیں

وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

Wa salaamun 'alalmursaleen

And peace be unto those sent (to warn).

اور سلام ہے رسولوں پر

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Walhamdu lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen

And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds!

اور سب خوبی ہے اللہ کو جو رب ہے سارے جہان کا [۱۰۱]
