سُورَةُ الزُّمَرِ
الزمر
Crowds of souls, and a door of hope that does not close.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ تَنزِيلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ
Tanzeelul Kitaabi minal laahil 'Azeezil Hakeem
The revelation of the Scripture is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.
اتارنا ہے کتاب کا اللہ سے جو زبردست ہے حکمتوں والا [۱]
إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِٱلْحَقِّ فَٱعْبُدِ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصًۭا لَّهُ ٱلدِّينَ
Innaaa anzalnaaa ilaikal Kitaaba bilhaqqi fa'budil laaha mukhlisal lahud deen
Lo! We have revealed the Scripture unto thee (Muhammad) with truth; so worship Allah, making religion pure for Him (only).
میں نے اتاری ہے تیری طرف کتاب ٹھیک ٹھیک سو بندگی کر اللہ کی خالص کر کر اس کے واسطے بندگی
أَلَا لِلَّهِ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْخَالِصُ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ مَا نَعْبُدُهُمْ إِلَّا لِيُقَرِّبُونَآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ زُلْفَىٰٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ فِى مَا هُمْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى مَنْ هُوَ كَٰذِبٌۭ كَفَّارٌۭ
Alaa lillaahid deenul khaalis; wallazeenat takhazoo min dooniheee awliyaaa'a maa na'buduhum illaa liyuqar riboonaaa ilal laahi zulfaa; innal laaha yahkumu baina hum fee maa hum feehi yakhtalifoon; innal laaha laa yahdee man huwa kaazibun kaffaar
Surely pure religion is for Allah only. And those who choose protecting friends beside Him (say): We worship them only that they may bring us near unto Allah. Lo! Allah will judge between them concerning that wherein they differ. Lo! Allah guideth not him who is a liar, an ingrate.
سنتا ہے اللہ ہی کیلئے ہے بندگی خالص [۲] اور جنہوں نے پکڑ رکھے ہیں اس سے ورے حمایتی کہ ہم تو ان کو پوجتے ہیں اس واسطے کہ ہم کو پہنچا دیں اللہ کی طرف قریب کے درجہ میں بیشک اللہ فیصلہ کر دے گا ان میں جس چیز میں وہ جھگڑ رہے ہیں [۳] البتہ اللہ راہ نہیں دیتا اسکو جو ہو جھوٹا حق نہ ماننے والا [۴]
لَّوْ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًۭا لَّٱصْطَفَىٰ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ ۖ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْوَٰحِدُ ٱلْقَهَّارُ
Law araadal laahu aiyattakhiza waladal lastafaa mimmaa yakhluqu maa yashaaa'; Subhaanahoo Huwal laahul Waahidul Qahhaar
If Allah had willed to choose a son, He could have chosen what He would of that which He hath created. Be He Glorified! He is Allah, the One, the Absolute.
اگر اللہ چاہتا کہ اولاد کر لے تو چن لیتا اپنی خلق میں جو کچھ چاہتا وہ پاک ہے [۵] وہی ہے اللہ اکیلا دباؤ والا [۶]
خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ يُكَوِّرُ ٱلَّيْلَ عَلَى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ ٱلنَّهَارَ عَلَى ٱلَّيْلِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّۭ يَجْرِى لِأَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّى ۗ أَلَا هُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْغَفَّٰرُ
Khalaqas samaawaati wal arda bilhaqq; yukawwirul laila 'alan nahaari wa yukawwirun nahaara 'alaal laili wa sakhkharash shamsa walqamara kulluny yajree li ajalim musammaa; alaa Huwal 'Azeezul Ghaffaar
He hath created the heavens and the earth with truth. He maketh night to succeed day, and He maketh day to succeed night, and He constraineth the sun and the moon to give service, each running on for an appointed term. Is not He the Mighty, the Forgiver?
بنائے آسمان اور زمین ٹھیک لپیٹتا ہے رات کو دن پر اور لپیٹتا ہے دن کو رات پر [۷] اور کام میں لگا دیا سورج اور چاند کو ہر ایک چلتا ہے ایک ٹھہری ہوئی مدت پر سنتا ہے وہی ہے زبردست گناہ بخشنے والا[۸]
خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍۢ وَٰحِدَةٍۢ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ ثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَزْوَٰجٍۢ ۚ يَخْلُقُكُمْ فِى بُطُونِ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ خَلْقًۭا مِّنۢ بَعْدِ خَلْقٍۢ فِى ظُلُمَٰتٍۢ ثَلَٰثٍۢ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ ۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصْرَفُونَ
Khalaqakum min nafsinw waahidatin summa ja'ala minhaa zawjahaa wa anzala lakum minal-an'aami samaani yata azwaaj; yakhuluqukum fee butooni ummahaatikum khalqam mim ba'di khalqin fee zulumaatin salaas; zaalikumul laahu Rabbukum lahul mulk; laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa fa annaa tusrafoon
He created you from one being, then from that (being) He made its mate; and He hath provided for you of cattle eight kinds. He created you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, in a threefold gloom. Such is Allah, your Lord. His is the Sovereignty. There is no Allah save Him. How then are ye turned away?
بنایا تم کو ایک جی سے پھر بنایا اس سے اس کا جوڑ ا [۹] اور اتارے تمہارے واسطے چوپاؤں سے آٹھ نر مادہ [۱۰] بناتا ہے تم کو ماں کے پیٹ میں ایک طرح پر دوسری طرح کے پیچھے [۱۱] تین اندھیروں کے بیچ [۱۲] وہ اللہ ہے رب تمہارا اسی کا راج ہے کسی کی بندگی نہیں اسکےسوائے پھر کہاں سے پھرے جاتے ہو [۱۳]
إِن تَكْفُرُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِىٌّ عَنكُمْ ۖ وَلَا يَرْضَىٰ لِعِبَادِهِ ٱلْكُفْرَ ۖ وَإِن تَشْكُرُوا۟ يَرْضَهُ لَكُمْ ۗ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌۭ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ۗ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُم مَّرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ
In takfuroo fa innal laaha ghaniyyun 'ankum; wa laa yardaa li'ibaadihil kufra wa in tashkuroo yardahu lakum; wa laa taziru waaziratunw wizra ukhraa; summa ilaa Rabikum marji'ukum fa-yunabbi'ukum bimaa kuntum ta'maloon; innahoo 'aleemum bizaatissudoor
If ye are thankless, yet Allah is Independent of you, though He is not pleased with thanklessness for His bondmen; and if ye are thankful He is pleased therewith for you. No laden soul will bear another's load. Then unto your Lord is your return; and He will tell you what ye used to do. Lo! He knoweth what is in the breasts (of men).
اگر تم منکر ہو گے تو اللہ پروا نہیں رکھتا تمہاری اور پسند نہیں کرتا اپنے بندوں کا منکر ہونا [۱۴] اور اگر اس کا حق مانو گے تو اسکو تمہارے لئے پسند کرے گا [۱۵] اور نہ اٹھائے گا کوئی اٹھانے والا بوجھ دوسرے کا [۱۶] پھر اپنے رب کی طرف تم کو جانا ہے تو وہ جتلائے گا تم کو جو تم کرتے تھے مقرر اسکو خبر ہے دلوں کی بات کی [۱۷]
۞ وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ ضُرٌّۭ دَعَا رَبَّهُۥ مُنِيبًا إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلَهُۥ نِعْمَةًۭ مِّنْهُ نَسِىَ مَا كَانَ يَدْعُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ مِن قَبْلُ وَجَعَلَ لِلَّهِ أَندَادًۭا لِّيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ ۚ قُلْ تَمَتَّعْ بِكُفْرِكَ قَلِيلًا ۖ إِنَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلنَّارِ
Wa izaa massal insaana durrun da'aa Rabbahoo muneeban ilaihi summa izaa khawwalahoo ni'matam minhu nasiya maa kaana yad'ooo ilaihi min qablu wa ja'ala lillaahi andaadal liyudilla 'ansabeelih; qul tamatta' bikufrika qaleelan innaka min Ashaabin Naar;
And when some hurt toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning unto Him (repentant). Then, when He granteth him a boon from Him he forgetteth that for which he cried unto Him before, and setteth up rivals to Allah that he may beguile (men) from his way. Say (O Muhammad, unto such an one): Take pleasure in thy disbelief a while. Lo! thou art of the owners of the Fire.
اور جب آ لگے انسان کو سختی پکارے اپنے رب کو رجوع ہو کر اسکی طرف پھر جب بخشے اسکو نعمت اپنی طرف سے بھول جائے اس کو کہ جس کے لئے پکار رہا تھا پہلے سے اور ٹھہرائے اللہ کی برابر اوروں کو تاکہ بہکائے اسکی راہ سے [۱۸] تو کہہ برت لے ساتھ اپنے کفر کے تھوڑے دنوں تو ہے دوزخ والوں میں [۱۹]
أَمَّنْ هُوَ قَٰنِتٌ ءَانَآءَ ٱلَّيْلِ سَاجِدًۭا وَقَآئِمًۭا يَحْذَرُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ وَيَرْجُوا۟ رَحْمَةَ رَبِّهِۦ ۗ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ۗ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ
Amman huwa qaanitun aanaaa'al laili saajidanw wa qaaa'imai yahzarul Aakhirata wa yarjoo rahmata Rabbih; qul hal yastawil lazeena ya'lamoona wallazeena laa ya'lamoon; innamaa yatazakkaru ulul albaab
Is he who payeth adoration in the watches of the night, prostrate and standing, bewaring of the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, (to be accounted equal with a disbeliever)? Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Are those who know equal with those who know not? But only men of understanding will pay heed.
بھلا ایک جو بندگی میں لگا ہوا ہے رات کی گھڑیوں میں سجدے کرتا ہوا اور کھڑا ہو اخطرہ رکھتا ہے آخرت کا اور امید رکھتا ہے اپنے رب کی مہربانی کی تو کہہ کوئی برابر ہوتے ہیں سمجھ والے اور بے سمجھ سوچتے وہی ہیں جن کو عقل ہے [۲۰]
قُلْ يَٰعِبَادِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ ۚ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا۟ فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةٌۭ ۗ وَأَرْضُ ٱللَّهِ وَٰسِعَةٌ ۗ إِنَّمَا يُوَفَّى ٱلصَّٰبِرُونَ أَجْرَهُم بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍۢ
Qul yaa 'ibaadil lazeena aamanut taqoo Rabbakum; lillazeena ahsanoo fee haazihid dunyaa hasanah; wa ardul laahi waasi'ah; innamaa yuwaffas saabiroona ajrahum bighayri hisab
Say: O My bondmen who believe! Observe your duty to your Lord. For those who do good in this world there is good, and Allah's earth is spacious. Verily the steadfast will be paid their wages without stint.
تو کہہ اے بندو میرے [۲۱] جو یقین لائے ہو ڈرو اپنے رب سے جنہوں نے نیکی کی اس دنیا میں انکے لئے ہی ہے بھلائی [۲۲] اور زمین اللہ کی کشادہ ہے صبر کرنے والوں ہی کو ملتا ہے ان کا ثواب بے شمار [۲۳]
قُلْ إِنِّىٓ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصًۭا لَّهُ ٱلدِّينَ
Qul inneee umirtu an a'budal laaha mukhlisal lahud deen
Say (O Muhammad): Lo! I am commanded to worship Allah, making religion pure for Him (only).
تو کہہ مجھ کو حکم ہے کہ بندگی کروں اللہ کی خالص کر کر اسکے لئے بندگی
وَأُمِرْتُ لِأَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
Wa umirtu li an akoona awwalal muslimeen
And I am commanded to be the first of those who are muslims (surrender unto Him).
اور حکم ہے کہ میں ہوں سب سے پہلے حکم بردار [۲۴]
قُلْ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّى عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ
Qul inneee akhaafu in 'asaitu Rabbee 'azaaba Yawmin 'azeem
Say: Lo! if I should disobey my Lord, I fear the doom of a tremendous Day.
تو کہہ میں ڈرتا ہوں اگر حکم نہ مانوں اپنے رب کا ایک بڑے دن کے عذاب سے [۲۵]
قُلِ ٱللَّهَ أَعْبُدُ مُخْلِصًۭا لَّهُۥ دِينِى
Qulil laaha a'budu mukhlisal lahoo deenee
Say: Allah I worship, making my religion pure for Him (only).
تو کہہ میں تو اللہ کو پوجتا ہوں خالص کر کر اپنی بندگی اس کے واسطے
فَٱعْبُدُوا۟ مَا شِئْتُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۗ أَلَا ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْخُسْرَانُ ٱلْمُبِينُ
Fa'budoo maa shi'tum min doonih; qul innal khaasireenal lazeena khasirooo anfusahum wa ahleehim yawmal qiyaamah; alaa zaalika huwal khusraanul mubeen
Then worship what ye will beside Him. Say: The losers will be those who lose themselves and their housefolk on the Day of Resurrection. Ah, that will be the manifest loss!
اب تم پوجو جس کو چاہو اسکے سوائے [۲۶] تو کہہ بڑے ہارنے والے وہ جو ہار بیٹھے اپنی جان کو اور اپنے گھر والوں کو قیامت کے دن سنتا ہے یہی ہے صریح ٹوٹا [۲۷]
لَهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ ظُلَلٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَمِن تَحْتِهِمْ ظُلَلٌۭ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يُخَوِّفُ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦ عِبَادَهُۥ ۚ يَٰعِبَادِ فَٱتَّقُونِ
Lahum min fawqihim zulalum minan Naari wa min tahtihim zulal; zaalika yukhaw wiful laahu bihee 'ibaadah; yaa 'ibaadi fattaqoon
They have an awning of fire above them and beneath them a dais (of fire). With this doth Allah appal His bondmen. O My bondmen, therefor fear Me!
ان کے واسطے اوپر سے بادل ہیں آگ کے اور نیچے سے بادل [۲۸] اس چیز سے ڈراتا ہے اللہ اپنے بندوں کو اے بندو میرے تو مجھ سے ڈرو [۲۹]
وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱجْتَنَبُوا۟ ٱلطَّٰغُوتَ أَن يَعْبُدُوهَا وَأَنَابُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ لَهُمُ ٱلْبُشْرَىٰ ۚ فَبَشِّرْ عِبَادِ
Wallazeenaj tanabut Taaghoota ai ya'budoohaa wa anaabooo ilal laahi lahumul bushraa; fabashshir 'ibaad
And those who put away false gods lest they should worship them and turn to Allah in repentance, for them there are glad tidings. Therefor give good tidings (O Muhammad) to My bondmen
اور جو لوگ بچے شیطانوں سے کہ انکو پوجیں اور رجوع ہوئے اللہ کی طرف انکے لئے ہے خوشخبری [۳۰] سو تو خوشی سنا دے میرے بندوں کو
ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَمِعُونَ ٱلْقَوْلَ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ أَحْسَنَهُۥٓ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَدَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمْ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ
Allazeena yastami'oonal qawla fayattabi'oona ahsanah; ulaaa'ikal lazeena hadaahumul laahu wa ulaaa'ika hum ulul albaab
Who hear advice and follow the best thereof. Such are those whom Allah guideth, and such are men of understanding.
جو سنتے ہیں بات پھر چلتے ہیں اس پر جو اس میں نیک ہے [۳۱] وہی ہیں جن کو رستہ دیا اللہ نے اور وہی ہیں عقل والے [۳۲]
أَفَمَنْ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ كَلِمَةُ ٱلْعَذَابِ أَفَأَنتَ تُنقِذُ مَن فِى ٱلنَّارِ
Afaman haqqa 'alaihi kalimatul 'azaab; afa anta tunqizu man fin Naar
Is he on whom the word of doom is fulfilled (to be helped), and canst thou (O Muhammad) rescue him who is in the Fire?
بھلا جس پر ٹھیک ہو چکا عذاب کا حکم بھلا تو خلاص کر سکے گا اسکو جو آگ میں پڑ چکا [۳۳]
لَٰكِنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْا۟ رَبَّهُمْ لَهُمْ غُرَفٌۭ مِّن فَوْقِهَا غُرَفٌۭ مَّبْنِيَّةٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۖ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ
Laakinil lazeenat taqaw Rabbahum lahum ghurafum min fawqihaa ghurafum mabniyyatun tajree min tahtihal anhaar; wa'dal laah; laa yukhliful laahul mee'aad
But those who keep their duty to their Lord, for them are lofty halls with lofty halls above them, built (for them), beneath which rivers flow. (It is) a promise of Allah. Allah faileth not His promise.
لیکن جو ڈرتے ہیں اپنے رب سے ان کے واسطے ہیں جھروکے ان کے اوپر اور جھروکے چنے ہوئے [۳۴] اور انکے نیچے بہتی ہیں ندیاں وعدہ ہو چکا اللہ کا اللہ نہیں خلاف کرتا اپنا وعدہ
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَسَلَكَهُۥ يَنَٰبِيعَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُ بِهِۦ زَرْعًۭا مُّخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَٰنُهُۥ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَىٰهُ مُصْفَرًّۭا ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهُۥ حُطَٰمًا ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ
Alam tara annal laaha anzala minas samaaa'i maaa'an fasalakahoo yanaabee'a fil ardi summa yukhriju bihee zar'am mukhtalifan alwaanuhoo summa yaheeju fatarahu musfarran summa yaj'aluhoo hutaamaa; inna fee zaalika lazikraa li ulil albaab
Hast thou not seen how Allah hath sent down water from the sky and hath caused it to penetrate the earth as watersprings, and afterward thereby produceth crops of divers hues; and afterward they wither and thou seest them turn yellow; then He maketh them chaff. Lo! herein verily is a reminder for men of understanding.
تو نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ نے اتارا آسمان سے پانی پھر چلا دیا وہ پانی چشموں میں زمین کے [۳۵] پھر نکالتا ہے اس سے کھیتی کئ کئ رنگ بدلتی اس پر [۳۶] پھر آئے تیاری پر تو تو دیکھے اس کا رنگ زرد پھر کر ڈالتا ہے اسکو چورا چورا بیشک اس میں نصیحت ہے عقلمندوں کے واسطے [۳۷]
أَفَمَن شَرَحَ ٱللَّهُ صَدْرَهُۥ لِلْإِسْلَٰمِ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ نُورٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ ۚ فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلْقَٰسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُم مِّن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍ
Afaman sharahal laahu sadrahoo lil Islaami fahuwa 'alaa noorim mir Rabbih; fa wailul lilqaasiyati quloobuhum min zikril laah; ulaaa'ika fee dalaalim mubeen
Is he whose bosom Allah hath expanded for Al-Islam, so that he followeth a light from his Lord, (as he who disbelieveth)? Then woe unto those whose hearts are hardened against remembrance of Allah. Such are in plain error.
بھلا جس کا سینہ کھول دیا اللہ نے دین اسلام کے واسطے سو وہ روشنی میں ہے اپنے رب کی طرف سے سو خرابی ہے انکو جن کے دل سخت ہیں اللہ کی یاد سے وہ پڑے پھرتے ہیں بھٹکتے صریح [۳۸]
ٱللَّهُ نَزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْحَدِيثِ كِتَٰبًۭا مُّتَشَٰبِهًۭا مَّثَانِىَ تَقْشَعِرُّ مِنْهُ جُلُودُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ ثُمَّ تَلِينُ جُلُودُهُمْ وَقُلُوبُهُمْ إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ يَهْدِى بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِنْ هَادٍ
Allahu nazzala ahsanal hadeesi Kitaabam mutashaa biham masaaniy taqsha'irru minhu juloodul lazeena yakhshawna Rabbahum summa taleenu julooduhum wa quloo buhum ilaa zikril laah; zaalika hudal laahi yahdee bihee mai yashaaa'; wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo min haad
Allah hath (now) revealed the fairest of statements, a Scripture consistent, (wherein promises of reward are) paired (with threats of punishment), whereat doth creep the flesh of those who fear their Lord, so that their flesh and their hearts soften to Allah's reminder. Such is Allah's guidance, wherewith He guideth whom He will. And him whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide.
اللہ نے اتاری بہتر بات کتاب کی [۳۹] آپس میں ملتی دہرائی ہوئی [۴۰] بال کھڑے ہوئے ہیں اس سے کھال پر ان لوگوں کے جو ڈرتے ہیں اپنے رب سے پھر نرم ہوتی ہیں ان کی کھالیں اور ان کے دل اللہ کی یاد پر [۴۱] یہ ہے راہ دینا اللہ کا اس طرح راہ دیتا ہے جس کو چاہے اور جس کو راہ بھلائے اللہ اسکو کوئی نہیں سجھانے والا [۴۲]
أَفَمَن يَتَّقِى بِوَجْهِهِۦ سُوٓءَ ٱلْعَذَابِ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۚ وَقِيلَ لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ ذُوقُوا۟ مَا كُنتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ
Afamai yattaqee biwaj hihee sooo'al 'azaabi Yawmal Qiyaamah; wa qeela lizzaali meena zooqoo maa kuntum taksiboon
Is he then, who will strike his face against the awful doom upon the Day of Resurrection (as he who doeth right)? And it will be said unto the wrong-doers: Taste what ye used to earn.
بھلا ایک وہ جو روکتا ہے اپنے منہ پر عذاب دن قیامت کے اور کہے گا بے انصافوں کو چکھو جو تم کماتے تھے [۴۳]
كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَأَتَىٰهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Kazzabal lazeena min qablihim fa ataahumul 'azaabu min haisu laa yash'uroon
Those before them denied, and so the doom came on them whence they knew not.
جھٹلا چکے ہیں ان سے اگلے پھر پہنچا ان پر عذاب ایسی جگہ سے کہ انکو خیال بھی نہ تھا۔
فَأَذَاقَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْخِزْىَ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ
Fa azaaqahumul laahul khizya fil hayaatid dunyaa wa la'azaabul Aakirati akbar; law kaanoo ya'lamoon
Thus Allah made them taste humiliation in the life of the world, and verily the doom of the Hereafter will be greater if they did but know.
پھر چکھائی انکو اللہ نے رسوائی دنیا کی زندگی میں اور عذاب آخرت کا تو بہت ہی بڑا ہے اگر ان کو سمجھ ہوتی [۴۴]
وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍۢ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
Wa laqad darabnaa linnaasi fee haazal Qur-aani min kulli masalil la'allahum yatazakkaroon
And verily We have coined for mankind in this Qur'an all kinds of similitudes, that haply they may reflect;
اور ہم نے بیان کی لوگوں کے واسطے اس قرآن میں سب چیز کی مثل تاکہ وہ دھیان کریں
قُرْءَانًا عَرَبِيًّا غَيْرَ ذِى عِوَجٍۢ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ
Qur-aanan 'Arabiyyan ghaira zee 'iwajil la'allahum yattaqoon
A Lecture in Arabic, containing no crookedness, that haply they may ward off (evil).
قرآن ہے عربی زبان کا جس میں کجی نہیں تاکہ وہ بچ کر چلیں [۴۵]
ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًۭا رَّجُلًۭا فِيهِ شُرَكَآءُ مُتَشَٰكِسُونَ وَرَجُلًۭا سَلَمًۭا لِّرَجُلٍ هَلْ يَسْتَوِيَانِ مَثَلًا ۚ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Darabal laahu masalar rajulan feehi shurakaaa'u mutashaakisoona wa rajulan salamal lirajulin hal tastawi yaani masalaa; alhamdu lillaah; bal aksaruhum laa ya'lamoon
Allah coineth a similitude: A man in relation to whom are several part-owners, quarrelling, and a man belonging wholly to one man. Are the two equal in similitude? Praise be to Allah! But most of them know not.
اللہ نے بتلائی ایک مثل ایک مرد ہے کہ اس میں شریک ہیں کئ ضدی اور ایک مرد ہے پورا ایک شخص کا کیا برابر ہوتی ہیں دونوں مثل [۴۶] سب خوبی اللہ کے لئے ہے پر وہ بہت لوگ سمجھ نہیں رکھتے [۴۷]
إِنَّكَ مَيِّتٌۭ وَإِنَّهُم مَّيِّتُونَ
Innaka maiyitunw wa inna hum maiyitunw wa inna hum maiyitoon
Lo! thou wilt die, and lo! they will die;
بیشک تو بھی مرتا ہے اور وہ بھی مرتے ہیں
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ عِندَ رَبِّكُمْ تَخْتَصِمُونَ
Summa innakum Yawmal Qiyaamati 'inda Rabbikum takhtasimoon
Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection, before your Lord ye will dispute.
پھر مقرر تم قیامت کے دن اپنے رب کے آگے جھگڑو گے [۴۸]
۞ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن كَذَبَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلصِّدْقِ إِذْ جَآءَهُۥٓ ۚ أَلَيْسَ فِى جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًۭى لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ
Faman azlamu mimman kazaba 'alal laahi wa kazzaba bissidqi iz jaaa'ah; alaisa fee Jahannama maswal lilkaafir
And who doth greater wrong than he who telleth a lie against Allah, and denieth the truth when it reacheth him? Will not the home of disbelievers be in hell?
پھر اس سے زیادہ ظالم کون جس نے جھوٹ بولا اللہ پر اور جھٹلایا سچی بات کو جب پہنچی اس کے پاس کیا نہیں دوزخ میں ٹھکانہ منکروں کا [۴۹]
وَٱلَّذِى جَآءَ بِٱلصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهِۦٓ ۙ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ
Wallazee jaaa'a bissidqi wa saddaqa biheee ulaaa'ika humul muttaqoon
And whoso bringeth the truth and believeth therein - Such are the dutiful.
اور جو لے کر آیا سچی بات اور سچ مانا جس نے اسکو وہی لوگ ہیں ڈر والے [۵۰]
لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Lahum maa yashaaa'oona 'inda Rabbihim; zaalika jazaaa'ul muhsineen
They shall have what they will of their Lord's bounty. That is the reward of the good:
ان کے لئے ہے جو وہ چاہیں اپنے رب کے پاس یہ ہے بدلا نیکی والوں کا
لِيُكَفِّرَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ أَسْوَأَ ٱلَّذِى عَمِلُوا۟ وَيَجْزِيَهُمْ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ ٱلَّذِى كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
Liyukaffiral laahu 'anhum aswa allazee 'amiloo wa yajziyahum ajrahum bi ahsanil lazee kaano ya'maloon
That Allah will remit from them the worst of what they did, and will pay them for reward the best they used to do.
تاکہ اتار دے اللہ ان پر سے برے کام جو انہوں نے کئے تھے اور بدلہ میں دے ان کو ثواب بہتر کاموں کا جو وہ کرتے تھے [۵۱]
أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِكَافٍ عَبْدَهُۥ ۖ وَيُخَوِّفُونَكَ بِٱلَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِۦ ۚ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِنْ هَادٍۢ
Alaisal laahu bikaafin 'abdahoo wa yukhawwi foonaka billazeena min doonih; wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo min haad
Will not Allah defend His slave? Yet they would frighten thee with those beside Him. He whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide.
کیا اللہ بس نہں اپنے بندہ کو اور تجھ کو ڈراتے ہیں ان سے جو اس کے سوائے ہیں اور جسکو راہ بھلائے اللہ تو کوئی نہیں اسکو راہ دینے والا
وَمَن يَهْدِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن مُّضِلٍّ ۗ أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِعَزِيزٍۢ ذِى ٱنتِقَامٍۢ
Wa mai yahdil laahu famalahoo mim mudlil; alai sal laahu bi'azeezin zin tiqaam
And he whom Allah guideth, for him there can be no misleader. Is not Allah Mighty, Able to Requite (the wrong)?
اور جسکو راہ سجھائے اللہ تو کوئی نہیں اسکو بھلانے والا کیا نہیں ہے اللہ زبردست بدلہ لینے والا [۵۲]
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ ۚ قُلْ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَنِىَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَٰشِفَٰتُ ضُرِّهِۦٓ أَوْ أَرَادَنِى بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَٰتُ رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ قُلْ حَسْبِىَ ٱللَّهُ ۖ عَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
Wa la'in sa altahum man khalaqas samaawaati wal arda la yaqoolunal laah; qul afara'aitum maa tad'oona min doonil laahi in araadaniyal laahu bidurrin hal hunna kaashi faatu durriheee aw araadanee birahmatin hal hunna mumsikaatu rahmatih; qul hasbiyal laahu 'alaihi tatawakkalul mutawakkiloon
And verily, if thou shouldst ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth? they will say: Allah. Say: Bethink you then of those ye worship beside Allah, if Allah willed some hurt for me, could they remove from me His hurt; or if He willed some mercy for me, could they restrain His mercy? Say: Allah is my all. In Him do (all) the trusting put their trust.
اور جو تو ان سے پوچھے کس نے بنائے آسمان اور زمین تو کہیں اللہ نے تو کہہ بھلا دیکھو تو جن کو پوجتے ہو اللہ کے سوائے اگر چاہے اللہ مجھ پر کچھ تکلیف تو وہ ایسے ہیں کہ کھول دیں تکلیف اسکی ڈالی ہوئی یا وہ چاہے مجھ پر مہربانی تو وہ ایسے ہیں کہ روک دیں اسکی مہربانی کو تو کہہ مجھ کو بس ہے اللہ اسی پر بھروسہ رکھتے ہیں بھروسہ رکھنے والے [۵۳]
قُلْ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْمَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّى عَٰمِلٌۭ ۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Qul yaa qawmi'maloo 'alaa makaanatikum innee 'aamilun fasawfa ta'lamoon
Say: O my people! Act in your manner. Lo! I (too) am acting. Thus ye will come to know
تو کہہ اے قوم کام کئے جاؤ اپنی جگہ پر میں بھی کام کرتا ہوں اب آگے جان لو گے
مَن يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌۭ يُخْزِيهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌۭ مُّقِيمٌ
Mai yaateehi 'azaabuny yukhzeehi wa yahillu 'alaihi 'azaabum muqeem
Who it is unto whom cometh a doom that will abase him, and on whom there falleth everlasting doom.
کس پر آتی ہے آفت کہ اس کو رسوا کرے اور اترتا ہے اس پر عذاب سدا رہنے والا [۵۴]
إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ لِلنَّاسِ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ فَمَنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا ۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٍ
Innaa anzalnaa 'alaikal Kitaaba linnaasi bilhaqq; famanih tadaa falinafsihee wa man dalla fa innamaa yadillu 'alaihaa wa maaa anta 'alaihim biwakeel
Lo! We have revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture for mankind with truth. Then whosoever goeth right it is for his soul, and whosoever strayeth, strayeth only to its hurt. And thou art not a warder over them.
ہم نے اتاری ہے تجھ پر کتاب لوگوں کے واسطے سچے دین کے ساتھ پھر جو کوئی راہ پر آیا سو اپنے بھلے کو اور جو کوئی بہکا سو یہی بات ہے کہ بہکا اپنے برے کو اور تو ان کا ذمہ دار نہیں [۵۵]
ٱللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى ٱلْأَنفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا وَٱلَّتِى لَمْ تَمُتْ فِى مَنَامِهَا ۖ فَيُمْسِكُ ٱلَّتِى قَضَىٰ عَلَيْهَا ٱلْمَوْتَ وَيُرْسِلُ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّى ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
Allaahu yatawaffal anfusa heena mawtihaa wallatee lam tamut fee manaamihaa fa yumsikul latee qadaa 'alaihal mawta wa yursilul ukhraaa ilaaa ajalim musammaa; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawmai yatafakkarron
Allah receiveth (men's) souls at the time of their death, and that (soul) which dieth not (yet) in its sleep. He keepeth that (soul) for which He hath ordained death and dismisseth the rest till an appointed term. Lo! herein verily are portents for people who take thought.
اللہ کھینچ لیتا ہے جانیں جب وقت ہو انکے مرنے کا اور جو نہیں مریں انکو کھینچ لیتا ہے انکی نیند میں پھر رکھ چھوڑتا ہے جن پر مرنا ٹھہرا دیا ہے بھیج دیتا ہے اوروں کو ایک وعدہ مقرر تک اس بات میں پتے ہیں ان لوگوں کو جو دھیان کریں [۵۶]
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ شُفَعَآءَ ۚ قُلْ أَوَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ
Amit takhazoo min doonillaahi shufa'aaa'; qul awalaw kaanoo laa yamlikoona shai'aw wa laa ya'qiloon
Or choose they intercessors other than Allah? Say: What! Even though they have power over nothing and have no intelligence?
کیا انہوں نے پکڑے ہیں اللہ کے سوائے کوئی سفارش والے [۵۷] تو کہہ اگرچہ ان کو اختیار نہ ہو کسی چیز کا اور نہ سمجھ [۵۸]
قُل لِّلَّهِ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةُ جَمِيعًۭا ۖ لَّهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
Qul lillaahish shafaa'atu jamee'aa; lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi summa ilaihi turj'oon
Say: Unto Allah belongeth all intercession. His is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. And afterward unto Him ye will be brought back.
تو کہہ اللہ کے اختیار میں ہے ساری سفارش اسی کا راج ہے آسمان اور زمین میں پھر اسی کی طرف پھیرے جاؤ گے [۵۹]
وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ ٱشْمَأَزَّتْ قُلُوبُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ ۖ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
Wa izaa zukiral laahu wahdahush ma azzat quloobul lazeena laa yu'minoona bil Aakhirati wa izaa zukiral lazeena min dooniheee izaa hum yastabshiroon
And when Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are repelled, and when those (whom they worship) beside Him are mentioned, behold! they are glad.
اور جب نام لیجئے خالص اللہ کا رک جاتے ہیں دل انکے جو یقین نہیں رکھتے پچھلے گھر کا اور جب نام لیجئے اس کے سوا اوروں کا تب وہ لگیں خوشیاں کرنے [۶۰]
قُلِ ٱللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ عَٰلِمَ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ أَنتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِى مَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ
Qulil laahumma faatiras samaawaati wal ardi 'Aalimal Ghaibi washshahaadati Anta tahkumu baina 'ibaadika fee maa kaanoo fee yakhtalifoon
Say: O Allah! Creator of the heavens and the earth! Knower of the Invisible and the Visible! Thou wilt judge between Thy slaves concerning that wherein they used to differ.
تو کہہ اے اللہ پیدا کرنے والے آسمانوں کے اور زمین کے جاننے والے چھپے اور کھلے کے تو ہی فیصلہ کرے اپنے بندوں میں جس چیز میں وہ جھگڑ رہے تھے [۶۱]
وَلَوْ أَنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا وَمِثْلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لَٱفْتَدَوْا۟ بِهِۦ مِن سُوٓءِ ٱلْعَذَابِ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۚ وَبَدَا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ يَحْتَسِبُونَ
Wa law anna lillazeena zalamoo maa fil ardi jamee'anw wa mislahoo ma'ahoo laftadaw bihee min sooo'il azaabi Yawmal Qiyaamah; wa badaa lahum minal laahi maa lam yakkoonoo yahtasiboon
And though those who do wrong possess all that is in the earth, and therewith as much again, they verily will seek to ransom themselves therewith on the Day of Resurrection from the awful doom; and there will appear unto them, from their Lord, that wherewith they never reckoned.
اور اگر گنہگاروں کے پاس ہو جتنا کچھ کہ زمین میں ہے سارا اور اتنا ہی اور اسکے ساتھ تو سب دے ڈالیں اپنے چھڑوانے میں بری طرح کے عذاب سے دن قیامت کے اور نظر آئے انکو اللہ کی طرف سے جو خیال بھی نہ رکھتے تھے
وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا۟ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
Wa badaa lahum saiyiaatu maa kasaboo wa haaqa bihim maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon
And the evils that they earned will appear unto them, and that whereat they used to scoff will surround them.
اور نظر آئیں ان کو برے کام اپنے جو کماتے تھے اور الٹ پڑے ان پر وہ چیز جس پر ٹھٹھا کرتے تھے [۶۲]
فَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ ضُرٌّۭ دَعَانَا ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلْنَٰهُ نِعْمَةًۭ مِّنَّا قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أُوتِيتُهُۥ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍۭ ۚ بَلْ هِىَ فِتْنَةٌۭ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Fa izaa massal insaana durrun da'aanaa summa izaa khawwalnaahu ni'matam minna qaala innamaaa ootee tuhoo 'alaa 'ilm; bal hiya fitna tunw wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya'lamoon
Now when hurt toucheth a man he crieth unto Us, and afterward when We have granted him a boon from Us, he saith: Only by force of knowledge I obtained it. Nay, but it is a test. But most of them know not.
سو جب آ لگتی ہے آدمی کو کچھ تکلیف ہم کو پکارنے لگتا ہے [۶۳] پھر جب ہم بخشیں اسکو اپنی طرف سے کوئی نعمت کہتا ہے یہ تو مجھ کو ملی کہ پہلے سے معلوم تھی [۶۴] کوئی نہیں یہ جانچ ہے پر وہ بہت سے لوگ نہیں سمجھتے [۶۵]
قَدْ قَالَهَا ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَمَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ
Qad qaalahul lazeena min qablihim famaaa aghnaa 'anhum maa kaanoo yaksiboon
Those before them said it, yet (all) that they had earned availed them not;
کہہ چکے ہیں یہ بات ان سے اگلے پھر کچھ کام نہ آیا انکو جو کماتے تھے
فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا۟ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنْ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ سَيُصِيبُهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا۟ وَمَا هُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ
Fa asaabahum saiyi aatu maa kasaboo; wallazeena zalamoo min haaa'ulaaa'i sa yuzeebuhum saiyi aatu maa kasaboo wa maa hum bimu'jizeen
But the evils that they earned smote them; and such of these as do wrong, the evils that they earn will smite them; they cannot escape.
پھر پڑ گئیں ان پربرائیاں جو کمائی تھیں [۶۶] اور جو گنہگار ہیں ان میں سے ان پر بھی اب پڑتی ہیں برائیاں جو کمائی ہیں اور وہ نہیں تھکانے والے [۶۷]
أَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Awalam ya'lamooo annal laaha yabsutur rizqa limai yashaaa'u wa yaqdir; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqamai yu'minoon
Know they not that Allah enlargeth providence for whom He will, and straiteneth it (for whom He will). Lo! herein verily are portents for people who believe.
اور کیا نہیں جان چکے کہ اللہ پھیلاتا ہے روزی جس کے واسطے چاہے اور ماپ کر دیتا ہے البتہ اس میں پتے ہیں ان لوگوں کے واسطے جو مانتے ہیں [۶۸]
۞ قُلْ يَٰعِبَادِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا۟ مِن رَّحْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Qul yaa'ibaadiyal lazeena asrafoo 'alaaa anfusihim laa taqnatoo mirrahmatil laah; innal laaha yaghfiruz zunooba jamee'aa; innahoo Huwal Ghafoorur Raheem
Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal to their own hurt! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
کہہ دے اے بندو میرے جنہوں نے کہ زیادتی کہ ہے اپنی جان پر آس مت توڑو اللہ کی مہربانی سے بیشک اللہ بخشتا ہے سب گناہ وہ جو ہے وہی ہے گناہ معاف کرنے والا مہربان [۶۹]
وَأَنِيبُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ وَأَسْلِمُوا۟ لَهُۥ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ
Wa aneebooo ilaa Rabbikum wa aslimoo lahoo min qabli ai yaatiyakumul 'azaabu summ laa tunsaroon
Turn unto your Lord repentant, and surrender unto Him, before there come unto you the doom, when ye cannot be helped.
اور رجوع ہو جاؤ اپنے رب کی طرف اور اسکی حکمبرداری کرو پہلے اس سے کہ آئے تم پر عذاب پھر کوئی تمہاری مدد کو نہ آئے گا [۷۰]
وَٱتَّبِعُوٓا۟ أَحْسَنَ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ بَغْتَةًۭ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ
Wattabi'ooo ahsana maaa unzila ilaikum mir Rabbikum min qabli aiyaatiyakumal 'azaabu baghtatanw wa antum laa tash'uroon
And follow the better (guidance) of that which is revealed unto you from your Lord, before the doom cometh on you suddenly when ye know not,
اور چلو بہتر بات پر جو اتری تمہاری طرف تمہارے رب سے پہلے اس سے کہ پہنچے تم پر عذاب اچانک اور تمکو خبر نہ ہو [۷۱]
أَن تَقُولَ نَفْسٌۭ يَٰحَسْرَتَىٰ عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطتُ فِى جَنۢبِ ٱللَّهِ وَإِن كُنتُ لَمِنَ ٱلسَّٰخِرِينَ
An taqoola nafsuny yaahasrataa 'alaa maa farrattu fee jambil laahi wa in kuntu laminas saakhireen
Lest any soul should say: Alas, my grief that I was unmindful of Allah, and I was indeed among the scoffers!
کہیں کہنے لگے کوئی جی اے افسوس اس بات پر کہ میں کوتاہی کرتا رہا اللہ کی طرف سے اور میں تو ہنستا ہی رہا [۷۲]
أَوْ تَقُولَ لَوْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هَدَىٰنِى لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
Aw taqoola law annal laaha hadaanee lakuntu minal muttaqeen
Or should say: If Allah had but guided me I should have been among the dutiful!
یا کہنے لگے اگر اللہ مجھ کو راہ دکھاتا تو میں ہوتا ڈرنے والوں میں [۷۳]
أَوْ تَقُولَ حِينَ تَرَى ٱلْعَذَابَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِى كَرَّةًۭ فَأَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Aw taqoola heena taral 'azaaba law anna lee karratan fa akoona minal muhsineen
Or should say, when it seeth the doom: Oh, that I had but a second chance that I might be among the righteous!
یا کہنے لگے جب دیکھے عذاب کو کسی طرح مجھ کو پھر جانا ملے تو میں ہو جاؤں نیکی والوں میں [۷۴]
بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَآءَتْكَ ءَايَٰتِى فَكَذَّبْتَ بِهَا وَٱسْتَكْبَرْتَ وَكُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
Balaa qad jaaa'atka Asyaatee fakazzabta bihaa wastak barta wa kunta minal kaafireen
(But now the answer will be): Nay, for My revelations came unto thee, but thou didst deny them and wast scornful and wast among the disbelievers.
کیوں نہیں پہنچ چکے تھے تیرے پاس میرے حکم پھر تو نے انکو جھٹلایا اور غرور کیا اور تو تھا منکروں میں [۷۵]
وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ تَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وُجُوهُهُم مُّسْوَدَّةٌ ۚ أَلَيْسَ فِى جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًۭى لِّلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ
Wa Yawmal Qiyaamati taral lazeena kazaboo 'alallaahi wujoohuhum muswaddah; alaisa fee Hahannama maswal lilmutakabbireen
And on the Day of Resurrection thou (Muhammad) seest those who lied concerning Allah with their faces blackened. Is not the home of the scorners in hell?
اور قیامت کے دن تو دیکھے انکو جو جھوٹ بولتے ہیں اللہ پر کہ ان کے منہ ہوں سیاہ [۷۶] کیا نہیں دوزخ میں ٹھکانہ غرور والوں کا [۷۷]
وَيُنَجِّى ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْا۟ بِمَفَازَتِهِمْ لَا يَمَسُّهُمُ ٱلسُّوٓءُ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
Wa yunajjil laahul lazee nat taqaw bimafaazatihim laa yamassuhumus sooo'u wa laa hum uahzanoon
And Allah delivereth those who ward off (evil) because of their deserts. Evil toucheth them not, nor do they grieve.
اور بچائے گا اللہ انکو جو ڈرتے رہے انکے بچاؤ کی جگہ نہ لگے انکو برائی اور نہ وہ غمگین ہوں [۷۸]
ٱللَّهُ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَكِيلٌۭ
Allaahu khaaliqu kulli shai'inw wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shai'inw Wakeel
Allah is Creator of all things, and He is Guardian over all things.
اللہ بنانے والا ہے ہر چیز کا اور وہ ہرچیز کا ذمہ لیتا ہے
لَّهُۥ مَقَالِيدُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ
Lahoo maqaaleedus sa maawaati wal ard; wallazeena kafaroo bi ayaatil laahi ulaaa'ika humul khaasiroon
His are the keys of the heavens and the earth, and they who disbelieve the revelations of Allah - such are they who are the losers.
اسی کے پاس ہیں کنجیاں آسمانوں کی اور زمین کی اور جو منکر ہوئے ہیں اللہ کی باتوں سے وہ لوگ جو ہیں وہی ہیں ٹوٹے میں پڑے [۷۹]
قُلْ أَفَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ تَأْمُرُوٓنِّىٓ أَعْبُدُ أَيُّهَا ٱلْجَٰهِلُونَ
Qul afaghairal laahi taamurooonneee a'budu ayyuhal jaahiloon
Say (O Muhammad, to the disbelievers): Do ye bid me serve other than Allah? O ye fools!
تو کہہ اب اللہ کے سوائے کسی کو بتلاتے ہو کہ پوجوں اے نادانو [۸۰]
وَلَقَدْ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكَ لَئِنْ أَشْرَكْتَ لَيَحْبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
Wa laqad oohiya ilaika wa ilal lazeena min qablika la in ashrakta la yahbatanna 'amalu ka wa latakoonanna minal khaasireen
And verily it hath been revealed unto thee as unto those before thee (saying): If thou ascribe a partner to Allah thy work will fail and thou indeed wilt be among the losers.
اور حکم ہو چکا ہے تجھ کو اور تجھ سے اگلوں کو کہ اگر تو نے شریک مان لیا تو اکارت جائیں گے تیرے عمل اور تو ہو گا ٹوٹے میں پڑا
بَلِ ٱللَّهَ فَٱعْبُدْ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
Balil laahha fa'bud wa kum minash shaakireen
Nay, but Allah must thou serve, and be among the thankful!
نہیں بلکہ اللہ ہی کو پوج اور رہ حق ماننے والوں میں [۸۱]
وَمَا قَدَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِۦ وَٱلْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًۭا قَبْضَتُهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وَٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ مَطْوِيَّٰتٌۢ بِيَمِينِهِۦ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Wa maa qadarul laaha haqqa qadrihee wal ardu jamee 'an qabdatuhoo Yawmal Qiyaamit wassamaawaatu matwiyyaatum biyameenih; Subhaanahoo wa Ta'aalaa 'amma yushrikoon
And they esteem not Allah as He hath the right to be esteemed, when the whole earth is His handful on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens are rolled in His right hand. Glorified is He and High Exalted from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him).
اور نہیں سمجھے اللہ کو جتنا کچھ وہ ہے [۸۲] اور زمین ساری ایک مٹھی ہے اسکی دن قیامت کے اور آسمان لپٹے ہوئے ہوں اسکے داہنے ہاتھ میں وہ پاک ہے اور بہت اوپر ہے اس سے کہ شریک بتلاتے ہیں [۸۳]
وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَصَعِقَ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۖ ثُمَّ نُفِخَ فِيهِ أُخْرَىٰ فَإِذَا هُمْ قِيَامٌۭ يَنظُرُونَ
Wa nufikha fis Soori fas'iqa man fis samaawaati wa man fil ardi illaa man shaa'al lahu summa nufikha feehi ukhraa fa izaa hum qiyaamuny yanzuroon
And the trumpet is blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are in the earth swoon away, save him whom Allah willeth. Then it is blown a second time, and behold them standing waiting!
اور پھونکا جائے صور میں پھر بیہوش ہو جائے جو کوئی ہے آسمانوں میں اور زمین میں مگر جس کو اللہ چاہے پھر پھونکی جائے دوسری بار تو فورًا وہ کھڑے ہو جائیں ہر طرف دیکھتے [۸۴]
وَأَشْرَقَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ بِنُورِ رَبِّهَا وَوُضِعَ ٱلْكِتَٰبُ وَجِا۟ىٓءَ بِٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ وَٱلشُّهَدَآءِ وَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
Wa ashraqatil ardu binoori Rabbihaa wa wudi'al Kitaabu wa jeee'a bin nabiyyeena wash shuhadaaa'i wa qudiya bainahum bilhaqqi wa hum laa yuzlamoon
And the earth shineth with the light of her Lord, and the Book is set up, and the prophets and the witnesses are brought, and it is judged between them with truth, and they are not wronged.
اور چمکے زمین اپنے رب کے نور سے اور لا دھریں دفتر اور حاضر آئیں پیغمبر اور گواہ اور فیصلہ ہو ان میں انصاف سے اور ان پر ظلم نہ ہو گا [۸۵]
وَوُفِّيَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ مَّا عَمِلَتْ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ
Wa wuffiyat kullu nafsim maa 'amilat wa Huwa a'lamubimaa yaf'aloon
And each soul is paid in full for what it did. And He is Best Aware of what they do.
اور پورا ملے ہر جی کو جو اس نے کیا [۸۶] اور اسکو خوب خبر ہے جو کچھ کرتے ہیں [۸۷]
وَسِيقَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ زُمَرًا ۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُوهَا فُتِحَتْ أَبْوَٰبُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَآ أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌۭ مِّنكُمْ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّكُمْ وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا ۚ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنْ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَةُ ٱلْعَذَابِ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
Wa seeqal lazeena kafaroon ilaa jahannama zumaran battaaa izaa jaaa'oohaa futihat abwaabuhaa wa qaala lahum khazanatuhaaa alam yaatikum Rusulum minkum yatloona 'alaikum Aayaati Rabbikum wa yunziroonakum liqaaa'a Yawmikum haazaa; qaaloo balaa wa laakin haqqat kalimatul 'azaabi 'alal kaafireen
And those who disbelieve are driven unto hell in troops till, when they reach it and the gates thereof are opened, and the warders thereof say unto them: Came there not unto you messengers of your own, reciting unto you the revelations of your Lord and warning you of the meeting of this your Day? they say: Yea, verily. But the word of doom of disbelievers is fulfilled.
اور ہانکے جائیں جو منکر تھے دوزخ کی طرف گروہ گروہ [۸۸] یہاں تک کہ جب پہنچ جائیں اس پر کھولے جائیں اسکے دروازے [۸۹] اور کہنے لگیں انکو اسکے داروغہ [۹۰] کیا نہ پہنچے تھے تمہارے پاس رسول تم میں کے [۹۱] پڑھتے تھے تم پرباتیں تمہارے رب کی اور ڈراتے تھے تم کو اس تمہارے دن کی ملاقات سے بولیں کیوں نہیں پر ثابت ہوا حکم عذاب کا منکروں پر [۹۲]
قِيلَ ٱدْخُلُوٓا۟ أَبْوَٰبَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ
Qeelad khuloo abwaaba jahannama khaalideena feeha fabi'sa maswal mutakabbireen
It is said (unto them): Enter ye the gates of hell to dwell therein. Thus hapless is the journey's end of the scorners.
حکم ہووے گا کہ داخل ہو جاؤ دروازوں میں دوزخ کے سدا رہنے کو اس میں سو کیا بری جگہ ہے رہنے کی غرور والوں کو [۹۳]
وَسِيقَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْا۟ رَبَّهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْجَنَّةِ زُمَرًا ۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُوهَا وَفُتِحَتْ أَبْوَٰبُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ طِبْتُمْ فَٱدْخُلُوهَا خَٰلِدِينَ
Wa seeqal lazeenat taqaw Rabbahum ilal Jannati zumaran hattaaa izaa jaaa'oohaa wa futihat abwaabuhaa wa qaala lahum khazanatuhaa salaamun 'alaikum tibtum fadkhuloohaa khaalideen
And those who keep their duty to their Lord are driven unto the Garden in troops till, when they reach it, and the gates thereof are opened, and the warders thereof say unto them: Peace be unto you! Ye are good, so enter ye (the Garden of delight), to dwell therein;
اور ہانکے جائیں وہ لوگ جو ڈرتے رہے تھے اپنے رب سے جنت کو گروہ گروہ [۹۴] یہاں تک کہ جب پہنچ جائیں اس پر اور کھولے جائیں اس کے دروازے اور کہنے لگیں ان کو داروغہ اس کے سلام پہنچے تم پر تم لوگ پاکیزہ ہو سو داخل ہو جاؤ اس میں سدا رہنے کو [۹۵]
وَقَالُوا۟ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى صَدَقَنَا وَعْدَهُۥ وَأَوْرَثَنَا ٱلْأَرْضَ نَتَبَوَّأُ مِنَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ نَشَآءُ ۖ فَنِعْمَ أَجْرُ ٱلْعَٰمِلِينَ
Wa waalull hamdulillaahil lazee sadaqanaa wa'dahoo wa awrasanal arda natabaw wa-u minal jannati haisu nashaaa'u fani'ma ajrul 'aamileen
They say: Praise be to Allah, Who hath fulfilled His promise unto us and hath made us inherit the land, sojourning in the Garden where we will! So bounteous is the wage of workers.
اور وہ بولیں شکر اللہ کا جس نے سچ کیا ہم سے اپنا وعدہ [۹۶] اور وارث کیا ہمکو اس زمین کا [۹۷] گھر لے لیویں بہشت میں سے جہاں چاہیں [۹۸] سو کیا خوب بدلا ہے محنت کرنے والوں کا
وَتَرَى ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ حَآفِّينَ مِنْ حَوْلِ ٱلْعَرْشِ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ وَقِيلَ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Wa taral malaaa'ikata haaaffeena min hawlil 'Arshi yusabbihoona bihamdi Rabbihim wa qudiya bainahum bilhaqqi wa qeelal hamdu lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen
And thou (O Muhammad) seest the angels thronging round the Throne, hymning the praises of their Lord. And they are judged aright. And it is said: Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!
اور تو دیکھے فرشتوں کو گھر رہے ہیں عرش کے گرد پاکی بولتے ہیں اپنے رب کی خوبیاں اور فیصلہ ہوتا ہے ان میں انصاف کا اور یہی بات کہتے ہیں کہ سب خوبی ہے اللہ کو جو رب ہے سارے جہان کا [۹۹]
