Az-Zukhruf

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ حمٓ

Haa-Meeem

Ha. Mim.

حٰمٓ۔

وَٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ

Wal Kitaabil Mubeen

By the Scripture which maketh plain,

قسم ہے اس کتاب واضح کی

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَٰهُ قُرْءَٰنًا عَرَبِيًّۭا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ

Innaa ja'alnaahu Quraanan 'Arabiyyal la'allakum ta'qiloon

Lo! We have appointed it a Lecture, in Arabic that haply ye may understand.

ہم نے رکھا اسکو قرآن عربی زبان کا تاکہ تم سمجھو [۱]

وَإِنَّهُۥ فِىٓ أُمِّ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِىٌّ حَكِيمٌ

Wa innahoo feee Ummil Kitaabi Ladainaa la'aliyyun hakeem

And Lo! in the Source of Decrees, which We possess, it is indeed sublime, decisive.

اور تحقیق یہ قرآن لوح محفوظ ہیں ہمارے پاس ہے برتر مستحکم [۲]

أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَن كُنتُمْ قَوْمًۭا مُّسْرِفِينَ

Afanadribu 'ankumuz Zikra safhan an kuntum qawmam musrifeen

Shall We utterly ignore you because ye are a wanton folk?

کیا پھیر دیں گے ہم تمہاری طرف سے یہ کتاب موڑ کر اس سبب سے کہ تم ہو ایسے لوگ کہ حد پر نہیں رہتے [۳]

وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن نَّبِىٍّۢ فِى ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Wa kam arsalnaa min Nabiyyin fil awwaleen

How many a prophet did We send among the men of old!

اور بہت بھیجے ہیں ہم نے نبی پہلوں میں

وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن نَّبِىٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

Wa maa yaateehim min Nabiyyin illaa kaanoo bihee yasahzi'oon

And never came there unto them a prophet but they used to mock him.

اور نہیں آتا لوگوں کے پاس کوئی پیغام لانے والا جس سے ٹھٹھا نہیں کرتے [۴]

فَأَهْلَكْنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًۭا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Fa ahlaknaaa ashadda minhum batshanw wa madaa masalul lawwaleen

Then We destroyed men mightier than these in prowess; and the example of the men of old hath gone (before them).

پھر برباد کر ڈالے ہم نے اُن سے سخت زور والے اور چلی آئی ہے مثال پہلوں کی [۵]

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Wa la'in sa altahum man khalaqas samaawaati wal arda la yaqoolunna khalaqa hunnal 'Azeezul 'Aleem

And if thou (Muhammad) ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth, they will surely answer: The Mighty, the Knower created them;

اور اگر تو ان سے پوچھے کس نے بنائے آسمان اور زمین تو کہیں بنائے اس زبردست خبردار نے

ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ مَهْدًۭا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًۭا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ

Allazee ja'ala lakumul arda mahdanw wa ja'ala lakum feehaa subulal la'allakum tahtadoon

Who made the earth a resting-place for you, and placed roads for you therein, that haply ye may find your way;

وہی ہے جس نے بنا دیا تمہارے لئے زمین کو بچھونا اور رکھ دیں تمہارے واسطے اُس میں راہیں تاکہ تم راہ پاؤ [۶]

وَٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۢ بِقَدَرٍۢ فَأَنشَرْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةًۭ مَّيْتًۭا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ

Wallazee nazzala minas samaaa'i maaa'am biqadarin fa anshamaa bihee baldatam maitaa' kazaalika tukhrajoon

And Who sendeth down water from the sky in (due) measure, and We revive a dead land therewith. Even so will ye be brought forth;

اور جس نے اتارا آسمان سے پانی ماپ کر [۷] پھر ابھار کھڑا کیا ہم نے اس سے ایک دیس مردہ کو اسی طرح تمکو بھی نکالیں گے [۸]

وَٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْفُلْكِ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ

Wallazee khalaqal azwaaja kullahaa wa ja'ala lakum minal fulki wal-an'aami maa tarkaboon

He Who created all the pairs, and appointed for you ships and cattle whereupon ye ride.

اور جس نے بنائے سب چیز کے جوڑے [۹] اور بنا دیا تمہارے واسطے کشتیوں اور چوپایوں کو جس پر تم سوار ہوتے ہو

لِتَسْتَوُۥا۟ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِۦ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا ٱسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا۟ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُۥ مُقْرِنِينَ

Litastawoo 'alaa zuhoorihee summa tazkuroo ni'mata Rabbikum izastawaitum 'alaihi wa taqooloo Subhaanal lazee sakhkhara lana haaza wa maa kunnaa lahoo muqrineen

That ye may mount upon their backs, and may remember your Lord's favour when ye mount thereon, and may say: Glorified be He Who hath subdued these unto us, and we were not capable (of subduing them);

تاکہ چڑھ بیٹھو تم اسکی پیٹھ پر [۱۰] پھر یاد کرو اپنے رب کا احسان جب بیٹھ چکو اُس پر اور کہو پاک ذات ہے وہ جس نے بس میں کر دیا ہمارے اسکو اور ہم نہ تھے اسکو قابو میں لا سکتے [۱۱]

وَإِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ

Wa innaaa ilaa Rabbinaa lamunqaliboon

And lo! unto our Lord we surely are returning.

اور ہمکو اپنے رب کی طرف پھر جانا ہے [۱۲]

وَجَعَلُوا۟ لَهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ جُزْءًا ۚ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَكَفُورٌۭ مُّبِينٌ

Wa ja'aloo lahoo min 'ibaadihee juz'aa; innal insaana lakafoorum mubeen

And they allot to Him a portion of His bondmen! Lo! man is verily a mere ingrate.

اور ٹھہرائی ہے اُنہوں نے حق تعالیٰ کے واسطے اولاد اسکے بندوں میں سے تحقیق انسان بڑا ناشکر ہے صریح

أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ بَنَاتٍۢ وَأَصْفَىٰكُم بِٱلْبَنِينَ

Amit takhaza mimmaa yakhluqu banaatinw wa asfaakum bilbaneen

Or chooseth He daughters of all that He hath created, and honoureth He you with sons?

کیا اس نے رکھ لیں اپنی مخلوقات میں سے بیٹیاں اور تمکو دیدئے چن کر بیٹے [۱۳]

وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ مَثَلًۭا ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُۥ مُسْوَدًّۭا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ

Wa izaa bushshira ahaduhum bimaa daraba lir Rahmaani masalan zalla wajhuhoo muswaddanw wa hua kazeem

And if one of them hath tidings of that which he likeneth to the Beneficent One, his countenance becometh black and he is full of inward rage.

اور جب اُن میں کسی کو خوشخبری ملے اس چیز کی جس کو رحمٰن کے نام لگایا تو سارے دن رہے منہ اس کا سیاہ اور وہ دل میں گھٹ رہا ہے [۱۴]

أَوَمَن يُنَشَّؤُا۟ فِى ٱلْحِلْيَةِ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْخِصَامِ غَيْرُ مُبِينٍۢ

Awa mai yunashsha'u fil hilyati wa huwa fil khisaami ghairu mubeen

(Liken they then to Allah) that which is bred up in outward show, and in dispute cannot make itself plain?

کیا ایسا شخص کہ پرورش پاتا ہے زیور میں اور وہ جھگڑے میں بات نہ کہہ سکے [۱۵]

وَجَعَلُوا۟ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَٰدُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ إِنَٰثًا ۚ أَشَهِدُوا۟ خَلْقَهُمْ ۚ سَتُكْتَبُ شَهَٰدَتُهُمْ وَيُسْـَٔلُونَ

Wa ja'alul malaaa'ikatal lazeena hum 'ibaadur Rahmaani inaasaa; a shahidoo khalaqhum; satuktabu shahaa datuhum wa yus'aloon

And they make the angels, who are the slaves of the Beneficent, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded and they will be questioned.

اور ٹھہرایا انہوں نے فرشتوں کو جو بندے ہیں رحمٰن کے عورتیں [۱۶] کیا دیکھتے تھے ان کا بننا اب لکھ رکھیں گے اُنکی گواہی اور اُن سے پوچھ ہو گی [۱۷]

وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ مَا عَبَدْنَٰهُم ۗ مَّا لَهُم بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ

Wa qaaloo law shaaa'ar Rahmaanu maa 'abadnaahum; maa lahum bizaalika min 'ilmin in hum illaa yakhrusoon

And they say: If the Beneficent One had (so) willed, we should not have worshipped them. They have no knowledge whatsoever of that. They do but guess.

اور کہتے ہیں اگر چاہتا رحمٰن تو ہم نہ پوجتے انکو [۱۸] کچھ خبر نہیں انکو اس کی یہ سب اٹکلیں دوڑاتے ہیں [۱۹]

أَمْ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ كِتَٰبًۭا مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ فَهُم بِهِۦ مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ

Am aatainaahum Kitaabam min qablihee fahum bihee mustamsikoon

Or have We given them any scripture before (this Qur'an) so that they are holding fast thereto?

کیا ہم نے کوئی کتاب دی ہے انکو اس سے پہلے سو انہوں نے اسکو مضبوط پکڑ رکھا ہے

بَلْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٍۢ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم مُّهْتَدُونَ

Bal qaalooo innaa wajadnaaa aabaaa'anaa 'alaaa ummatinw wa innaa 'alaaa aasaarihim muhtadoon

Nay, for they say only: Lo! we found our fathers following a religion, and we are guided by their footprints.

بلکہ کہتے ہیں ہم نے پایا اپنے باپ دادوں کو ایک راہ پر اور ہم اُنہی کے قدموں پر ہیں راہ پائے ہوئے [۲۰]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِى قَرْيَةٍۢ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَآ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٍۢ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم مُّقْتَدُونَ

Wa kazaalika maaa arsalnaa min qablika fee qaryatim min nazeerin illaa qaala mutrafoohaaa innaa wajadnaaa aabaaa'anaa 'alaaa ummatinw wa innaa 'alaaa aasaarihim muqtadoon

And even so We sent not a warner before thee (Muhammad) into any township but its luxurious ones said: Lo! we found our fathers following a religion, and we are following their footprints.

اور اسی طرح جس کسی کو بھیجا ہم نے تجھ سے پہلے ڈر سنانے والا کسی گاؤں میں سو کہنے لگے وہاں کے خوشحال لوگ ہم نے تو پایا اپنے باپ دادوں کو ایک راہ پراور ہم اُنہی کے قدموں پر چلتے ہیں

۞ قَٰلَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُم بِأَهْدَىٰ مِمَّا وَجَدتُّمْ عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِۦ كَٰفِرُونَ

Qaala awa law ji'tukum bi ahdaa mimmaa wajattum 'alaihi aabaaa'akum qaalooo innaa bimaaa ursiltum bihee kaafiroon

(And the warner) said: What! Even though I bring you better guidance than that ye found your fathers following? They answered: Lo! in what ye bring we are disbelievers.

وہ بولا اور جو میں لادوں تمکو اس سے زیادہ سوجھ کی راہ جس پر تم نے پایا اپنے باپ دادوں کو [۲۱] تو یہی کہنے گے ہم تمہارا لایا ہوا نہیں مانیں گے [۲۲]

فَٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ ۖ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Fantaqamnaa minhum fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mukazzibeen

So We requited them. Then see the nature of the consequence for the rejecters!

پھر ہم نے اُن سے بدلا لیا سو دیکھ لے کیسا ہوا انجام جھٹلانے والوں کا

وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّنِى بَرَآءٌۭ مِّمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ

Wa iz qaala Ibraaheemu liabeehi wa qawmiheee innane baraaa'um mimmaa ta'budo

And when Abraham said unto his father and his folk: Lo! I am innocent of what ye worship

اور جب کہا ابراہیم نے اپنے باپ کو اور اُس کی قوم کو میں الگ ہوں اُن چیزوں سے جنکو تم پوجتے ہو

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِى فَإِنَّهُۥ سَيَهْدِينِ

Illal lazee fataranee innahoo sa yahdeen

Save Him Who did create me, for He will surely guide me.

مگر جس نے مجھ کو بنایا سو وہ مجھ کو راہ سجھائے گا [۲۳]

وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةًۢ بَاقِيَةًۭ فِى عَقِبِهِۦ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

Wa ja'alahaa Kalimatam baaqiyatan fee 'aqibihee la'al lahum yarji'oon

And he made it a word enduring among his seed, that haply they might return.

اور یہی بات پیچھے چھوڑ گیا اپنی اولاد میں تاکہ وہ رجوع رہیں [۲۴]

بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

Bal matta'tu haaa'ulaaa'i wa aabaaa'ahum hattaa jaaa'a humul haqqu wa Rasoolum mubeen

Nay, but I let these and their fathers enjoy life (only) till there should come unto them the Truth and a messenger making plain.

کوئی نہیں پر میں نے برتنے دیا انکو اور اُنکے باپ دادوں کو یہاں تک کہ پہنچا اُنکے پاس دین سچا اور رسول کھول کر سنا دینے والا [۲۵]

وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ قَالُوا۟ هَٰذَا سِحْرٌۭ وَإِنَّا بِهِۦ كَٰفِرُونَ

Wa lammaa jaaa'ahumul haqqu qaaloo haazaa sihrunw wa innaa bihee kaafiroon

And now that the Truth hath come unto them they say: This is mere magic, and lo! we are disbelievers therein.

اور جب پہنچا اُنکے پاس سچا دین کہنے لگے یہ جادو ہے اور ہم اُسکو نہ مانیں گے [۲۶]

وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٍ

Wa qaaloo law laa nuzzila haazal Quraanu 'alaa rajulim minal qaryataini 'azeem

And they say: If only this Qur'an had been revealed to some great man of the two towns?

اور کہتے ہیں کیوں نہ اترا یہ قرآن کسی بڑے مرد پر ان دونوں بستیوں میں کے [۲۷]

أَهُمْ يَقْسِمُونَ رَحْمَتَ رَبِّكَ ۚ نَحْنُ قَسَمْنَا بَيْنَهُم مَّعِيشَتَهُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَرَفَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍۢ دَرَجَٰتٍۢ لِّيَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضًۭا سُخْرِيًّۭا ۗ وَرَحْمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌۭ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ

Ahum yaqsimoona rahmata Rabbik; Nahnu qasamnaa bainahum ma'eeshatahum fil hayaatid dunyaa wa rafa'naa ba'dahum fawqa ba'din darajaatil liyattakhiza ba'duhum ba'dan sukhriyyaa; wa rahmatu Rabbika khairum mimmaa yajma'oon

Is it they who apportion thy Lord's mercy? We have apportioned among them their livelihood in the life of the world, and raised some of them above others in rank that some of them may take labour from others; and the mercy of thy Lord is better than (the wealth) that they amass.

کیا وہ بانٹتے ہیں تیرے رب کی رحمت کو [۲۸] ہم نے بانٹ دی ہے ان میں روزی اُن کی دنیا کی زندگانی میں اور بلند کر دیے درجے بعض کے بعض پر کہ ٹھہراتا ہے ایک دوسرے کو خدمتگار [۲۹] اور تیرے رب کی رحمت بہتر ہے ان چیزوں سے جو سمیٹتے ہیں [۳۰]

وَلَوْلَآ أَن يَكُونَ ٱلنَّاسُ أُمَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ لَّجَعَلْنَا لِمَن يَكْفُرُ بِٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ سُقُفًۭا مِّن فِضَّةٍۢ وَمَعَارِجَ عَلَيْهَا يَظْهَرُونَ

Wa law laaa any yakoonan naasu ummatanw waahidatal laja'alnaa limany yakfuru bir Rahmaani libu yootihim suqufam min fiddatinw wa ma'aarija 'alaihaa yazharoon

And were it not that mankind would have become one community, We might well have appointed, for those who disbelieve in the Beneficent, roofs of silver for their houses and stairs (of silver) whereby to mount,

اور اگر یہ بات نہ ہوتی کہ سب لوگ ہو جائیں ایک دین پر تو ہم دیتے ان لوگوں کو جو منکر ہیں رحمٰن سے اُنکے گھروں کے واسطے چھت چاندی کی اور سیڑھیاں جن پر چڑھیں

وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَٰبًۭا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِـُٔونَ

Wa libu yootihim abwaabanw wa sururan 'alaihaa yattaki'oon

And for their houses doors (of silver) and couches of silver whereon to recline,

اور اُن کے گھروں کے واسطے دروازے اور تخت جن پر تکیہ لگا کر بیٹھیں

وَزُخْرُفًۭا ۚ وَإِن كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

Wa zukhrufaa; wa in kullu zaalika lammaa mataa'ul hayaatid dunyaa; wal aakhiratu 'inda Rabbika lilmuttaqeen

And ornaments of gold. Yet all that would have been but a provision of the life of the world. And the Hereafter with your Lord would have been for those who keep from evil.

اور سونے کے [۳۱] اور یہ سب کچھ نہیں ہے مگر برتنا دنیا کی زندگانی کا اور آخرت تیرے رب کے یہاں اُنہی کیلئے ہیں جو ڈرتے ہیں [۳۲]

وَمَن يَعْشُ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُۥ شَيْطَٰنًۭا فَهُوَ لَهُۥ قَرِينٌۭ

Wa mai ya'shu 'an zikrir Rahmaani nuqaiyid lahoo Shaitaanan fahuwa lahoo qareen

And he whose sight is dim to the remembrance of the Beneficent, We assign unto him a devil who becometh his comrade;

اور جو کوئی آنکھیں چرائے رحمٰن کی یاد سے ہم اُس پر مقرر کر دیں ایک شیطان پھر وہ رہے اسکا ساتھی [۳۳]

وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ

Wa innahum la yasuddoo nahum 'anis sabeeli wa yahsaboona annahum muhtadoon

And lo! they surely turn them from the way of Allah, and yet they deem that they are rightly guided;

اور وہ اُنکو روکتے رہتے ہیں راہ سے اور یہ سمجھتےہیں کہ ہم راہ پر ہیں [۳۴]

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَنَا قَالَ يَٰلَيْتَ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ ٱلْقَرِينُ

Hattaaa izaa jaaa'anaa qaala yaa laita bainee wa bainaka bu'dal mashriqaini fabi'sal qareen

Till, when he cometh unto Us, he saith (unto his comrade): Ah, would that between me and thee there were the distance of the two horizons - an evil comrade!

یہاں تک کہ جب آئے ہمارے پاس کہے کسی طرح مجھ میں اور تجھ میں فرق ہو مشرق مغرب کا سا کہ کیا برا ساتھی ہے [۳۵]

وَلَن يَنفَعَكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِذ ظَّلَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ

Wa lai yanfa'akumul Yawma iz zalamtum annakum fil 'azaabi mushtarikoon

And it profiteth you not this day, because ye did wrong, that ye will be sharers in the doom.

اور کچھ فائدہ نہیں تمکو آج کے دن جبکہ تم ظالم ٹھہر چکے اس بات سے کہ تم عذاب میں شامل ہو [۳۶]

أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ أَوْ تَهْدِى ٱلْعُمْىَ وَمَن كَانَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

Afa anta tusmi'us summa aw tahdil 'umya wa man kaana fee dalaalim mubeen

Canst thou (Muhammad) make the deaf to hear, or canst thou guide the blind or him who is in error manifest?

سو کیا تو سنائے گا بہروں کو یا سمجھائے گا اندھوں کو اور صریح غلطی میں بھٹکتوں کو

فَإِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنَّا مِنْهُم مُّنتَقِمُونَ

Fa immaa nazhabanna bika fa innaa minhum muntaqimoon

And if We take thee away, We surely shall take vengeance on them,

پھر اگر کبھی ہم تجھ کو یہاں سے لیجائیں تو ہمکو ان سے بدلا لینا ہے

أَوْ نُرِيَنَّكَ ٱلَّذِى وَعَدْنَٰهُمْ فَإِنَّا عَلَيْهِم مُّقْتَدِرُونَ

Aw nuriyannakal lazee wa'adnaahum fa innaa 'alaihim muqtadiroon

Or (if) We show thee that wherewith We threaten them; for lo! We have complete command of them.

یا تجھ کو دکھا دیں جو اُن سے وعدہ ٹھہرایا ہے تو یہ ہمارے بس میں ہیں

فَٱسْتَمْسِكْ بِٱلَّذِىٓ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ

Fastamsik billazeee oohi ya ilaika innaka 'alaa Siraatim Mustaqeem

So hold thou fast to that which is inspired in thee. Lo! thou art on a right path.

سو تو مضبوط پکڑ ے رہ اسی کو جو تجھ کو حکم پہنچا تو ہے بیشک سیدھی راہ پر [۳۷]

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَذِكْرٌۭ لَّكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ ۖ وَسَوْفَ تُسْـَٔلُونَ

Wa innahoo lazikrul laka wa liqawmika wa sawfa tus'aloon

And lo! it is in truth a Reminder for thee and for thy folk; and ye will be questioned.

اور یہ مذکور رہے گا تیرا اور تیری قوم کا [۳۸] اور آگے تم سے پوچھ ہو گی [۳۹]

وَسْـَٔلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رُّسُلِنَآ أَجَعَلْنَا مِن دُونِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ءَالِهَةًۭ يُعْبَدُونَ

Was'al man arsalnaa min qablika mir Rusulinaaa aja'alnaa min doonir Rahmaani aalihatany yu badoon

And ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before thee: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped beside the Beneficent?

اور پوچھ دیکھ جو رسول بھیجے ہم نے تجھ سے پہلے کبھی ہم نے رکھے ہیں رحمٰن کے سوائے اور حاکم کہ پوجے جائیں [۴۰]

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ فَقَالَ إِنِّى رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Wa laqad arsalnaa Moosaa bi aayaatinaaa ilaa Fir'awna wa mala'ihee faqaala innee Rasoolu Rabbil 'aalameen

And verily We sent Moses with Our revelations unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, and he said: I am a messenger of the Lord of the Worlds.

اور ہم نے بھیجا موسٰی کو اپنی نشانیاں دے کر فرعون اور اسکے سرداروں کے پاس تو کہا میں بھیجا ہوا ہوں جہان کے رب کا

فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَضْحَكُونَ

Falammma jaaa'ahum bi aayaatinaaa izaa hum minhaa yadhakoon

But when he brought them Our tokens, behold! they laughed at them.

پھر جب لایا انکے پاس ہماری نشانیاں وہ تو لگے ان پر ہنسنے [۴۱]

وَمَا نُرِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍ إِلَّا هِىَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا ۖ وَأَخَذْنَٰهُم بِٱلْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

Wa maa nureehim min aayatin illaa hiya akbaru min ukhtihaa wa akhaznaahum bil'azaabi la'allahum yarji'oon

And every token that We showed them was greater than its sister (token), and We grasped them with the torment, that haply they might turn again.

اور جو دکھاتے گئے ہم انکو نشانی سو پہلی سے بڑی [۴۲] اور پکڑا ہم نے اُنکو تکلیف میں تاکہ وہ باز آئیں [۴۳]

وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰٓأَيُّهَ ٱلسَّاحِرُ ٱدْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِندَكَ إِنَّنَا لَمُهْتَدُونَ

Wa qaaloo yaaa ayyuhas saahirud'u lanaa Rabbaka bimaa 'ahida 'indaka innanaa lamuhtadoon

And they said: O wizard! Entreat thy Lord for us by the pact that He hath made with thee. Lo! we verily will walk aright.

اور کہنے لگے اے جادوگر [۴۴] پکار ہمارے واسطے اپنے رب کو جیسا سکھلا رکھا ہے تجھ کو ہم ضرور راہ پر آجائیں گے [۴۵]

فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ إِذَا هُمْ يَنكُثُونَ

Falammaa kashafnaa 'anhumul 'azaaba izaa hum yankusoon

But when We eased them of the torment, behold! they broke their word.

پھر جب اٹھا لی ہم نے ان پر سے تکلیف تبھی وہ وعدہ توڑ ڈالتے [۴۶]

وَنَادَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى قَوْمِهِۦ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِى مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهَٰذِهِ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِىٓ ۖ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ

Wa naadaa Fir'awnu fee qawmihee qaala yaa qawmi alaisa lee mulku Misra wa haazihil anhaaru tajree min tahtee afalaa tubsiroon

And Pharaoh caused a proclamation to be made among his people saying: O my people! Is not mine the sovereignty of Egypt and these rivers flowing under me? Can ye not then discern?

اور پکارا فرعون نے اپنی قوم میں بولا اے میری قوم بھلا میرے ہاتھ میں نہیں حکومت مصر کی اور یہ نہریں چل رہی ہیں میرے محل کے نیچے کیا تم نہیں دیکھتے [۴۷]

أَمْ أَنَا۠ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى هُوَ مَهِينٌۭ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُ

Am ana khairum min haazal lazee huwa maheenunw wa laa yuakaadu yubeen

I am surely better than this fellow, who is despicable and can hardly make (his meaning) plain!

بھلا میں ہوں بھی بہتر اس شخص سے جسکو کچھ عزت نہیں اور صاف نہیں بول سکتا [۴۸]

فَلَوْلَآ أُلْقِىَ عَلَيْهِ أَسْوِرَةٌۭ مِّن ذَهَبٍ أَوْ جَآءَ مَعَهُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ مُقْتَرِنِينَ

Falaw laa ulqiya 'alaihi aswiratum min zahabin awjaaa'a ma'ahul malaaa'ikatu muqtarineen

Why, then, have armlets of gold not been set upon him, or angels sent along with him?

پھر کیوں نہ آ پڑے اس پر کنگن سونے کے یا آتے اسکے ساتھ فرشتے پرا باندھ کر [۴۹]

فَٱسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُۥ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۭا فَٰسِقِينَ

Fastakhaffa qawmahoo fa ataa'ooh; innahum kaanoo qawman faasiqeen

Thus he persuaded his people to make light (of Moses), and they obeyed him. Lo! they were a wanton folk.

پھر عقل کھو دی اپنی قوم کی پھر اسی کا کہنا مانا مقرر وہ تھے لوگ نافرمان [۵۰]

فَلَمَّآ ءَاسَفُونَا ٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

Falammaaa aasafoonan taqamnaa minhum fa aghraqnaahum ajma'een

So, when they angered Us, We punished them and drowned them every one.

پھر جب ہم کو غصہ دلایا [۵۱] تو ہم نے اُن سے بدلا لیا پھر ڈبو دیا اُن سب کو

فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ سَلَفًۭا وَمَثَلًۭا لِّلْءَاخِرِينَ

Faja'alnaahum salafanw wa masalal lil aakhireen

And We made them a thing past, and an example for those after (them).

پھر کر ڈالا اُنکو گئے گذرے اور ایک نظیر پچھلوں کے واسطے [۵۲]

۞ وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ مَثَلًا إِذَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْهُ يَصِدُّونَ

Wa lammaa duribab nu Maryama masalan izaa qawmu ka minhu yasidoon

And when the son of Mary is quoted as an example, behold! the folk laugh out,

اور جب مثال لائے مریم کے بیٹے کی تبھی قوم تیری اس سے چلانے لگتے ہیں

وَقَالُوٓا۟ ءَأَٰلِهَتُنَا خَيْرٌ أَمْ هُوَ ۚ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلًۢا ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ

Wa qaalooo 'a-aalihatunaa khairun am hoo; maa daraboohu laka illaa jadalaa; balhum qawmun khasimoon

And say: Are our gods better, or is he? They raise not the objection save for argument. Nay! but they are a contentious folk.

اور کہتے ہیں ہمارے معبود بہتر ہیں یا وہ [۵۳] یہ مثال جو ڈالتے ہیں تجھ پرسو جھگڑنے کو بلکہ یہ لوگ ہیں جھگڑالو

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا عَبْدٌ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلْنَٰهُ مَثَلًۭا لِّبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

In huwa illaa 'abdun an'amnaa 'alaihi wa ja'alnaahu masalal li Baneee Israaa'eel

He is nothing but a slave on whom We bestowed favour, and We made him a pattern for the Children of Israel.

وہ کیا ہے ایک بندہ ہے کہ ہم نے اس پر فضل کیا اور کھڑا کر دیا اسکو بنی اسرائیل کے واسطے [۵۴]

وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلْنَا مِنكُم مَّلَٰٓئِكَةًۭ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يَخْلُفُونَ

Wa law nashaaa'u laja'alnaa minkum malaaa'ikatan fil ardi yakhlufoon

And had We willed We could have set among you angels to be viceroys in the earth.

اور اگر ہم چاہیں نکالیں تم میں سے فرشتے رہیں زمین میں تمہاری جگہ [۵۵]

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَعِلْمٌۭ لِّلسَّاعَةِ فَلَا تَمْتَرُنَّ بِهَا وَٱتَّبِعُونِ ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌۭ مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ

Wa innahoo la'ilmul lis Saa'ati fala tamtarunna bihaa wattabi'oon; haazaa Siraatum Mustaqeem

And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path.

اور وہ نشان ہے قیامت کا [۵۶] سو اس میں شک مت کرو اور میرا کہا مانو یہ ایک سیدھی راہ ہے

وَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

Wa laa yasuddan nakumush Shaitaanu innahoo lakum 'aduwwum mubeen

And let not Satan turn you aside. Lo! he is an open enemy for you.

اور نہ روک دے تم کو شیطان وہ تو تمہارا دشمن ہے صریح [۵۷]

وَلَمَّا جَآءَ عِيسَىٰ بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ قَالَ قَدْ جِئْتُكُم بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَلِأُبَيِّنَ لَكُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى تَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

Wa lammaa jaaa'a 'Eesaa bilbaiyinaati qaala qad ji'tukum bil Hikmati wa li-ubaiyina lakum ba'dal lazee takhtalifoona feehi fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon

When Jesus came with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), he said: I have come unto you with wisdom, and to make plain some of that concerning which ye differ. So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me.

اور جب آیا عیسٰی نشانیاں لے کر بولا میں لایا ہوں تمہارے پاس پکی باتیں [۵۸] اور بتلانے کو بعضی وہ چیز جس میں تم جھگڑتے تھے [۵۹] سو ڈرو اللہ سے اور میرا کہا مانو

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌۭ مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ

Innal laaha Huwa Rabbee wa Rabbukum fa'budooh; haaza Siraatum Mustaqeem

Lo! Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. This is a right path.

بیشک اللہ جو ہے وہی ہے رب میرا اور رب تمہارا سو اسی کی بندگی کرو یہ ایک سیدھی راہ ہے [۶۰]

فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍ

Fakhtalafal ahzaabu mim bainihim fawailul lillazeena zalamoo min 'azaabi Yawmin aleem

But the factions among them differed. Then woe unto those who do wrong from the doom of a painful day.

پھر پھٹ گئے کتنے فرقے انکے بیچ سے [۶۱] سو خرابی ہے گنہگاروں کو آفت سے دکھ والے دن کی

هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةًۭ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

Hal yanzuroona illas Saa'ata an taatiyahum baghtatanw wa hum laa yash'uroon

Await they aught save the Hour, that it shall come upon them suddenly, when they know not?

اب یہی ہے کہ راہ دیکھتے ہیں قیامت کی کہ آ کھڑی ہو ان پر اچانک اور انکو خبر بھی نہ ہو [۶۲]

ٱلْأَخِلَّآءُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

Al akhillaaa'u Yawma'izim ba'duhum liba'din 'aduwwun illal muttaqeen

Friends on that day will be foes one to another, save those who kept their duty (to Allah).

جتنے دوست ہیں اس دن ایک دوسرے کے دشمن ہوں گے مگر جو لوگ ہیں ڈر والے [۶۳]

يَٰعِبَادِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ وَلَآ أَنتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ

Yaa 'ibaadi laa khawfun 'alaikumul Yawma wa laaa antum tahzanoon

O My slaves! For you there is no fear this day, nor is it ye who grieve;

اے بندو میرے نہ ڈر ہے تم پر آج کے دن اور نہ تم غمگین ہو گے [۶۴]

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَكَانُوا۟ مُسْلِمِينَ

Allazeena aamanoo bi Aayaatinaa wa kaanoo muslimeen

(Ye) who believed Our revelations and were self-surrendered,

جو یقین لائے ہماری باتوں پر اور رہے حکم بردار [۶۵]

ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ أَنتُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْ تُحْبَرُونَ

Udkhulul Jannata antum wa azwaajukum tuhbaroon

Enter the Garden, ye and your wives, to be made glad.

چلے جاؤ بہشت میں تم اور تمہاری عورتیں کہ تمہاری عزت کریں

يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِصِحَافٍۢ مِّن ذَهَبٍۢ وَأَكْوَابٍۢ ۖ وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ ٱلْأَنفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ ٱلْأَعْيُنُ ۖ وَأَنتُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ

Yutaafu 'alaihim bishaa fim min zahabinw wa akwaab, wa feehaa maatashtaheehil anfusu wa talazzul a'yunu wa antum feehaa khaalidoon

Therein are brought round for them trays of gold and goblets, and therein is all that souls desire and eyes find sweet. And ye are immortal therein.

لئے پھریں گے انکے پاس رکابیاں سونے کی اور آبخورے [۶۶] اور وہاں ہے جو دل چاہے اور جس سے آنکھیں آرام پائیں [۶۷] اور تم ان میں ہمیشہ رہو گے

وَتِلْكَ ٱلْجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Wa tilkal jannatul lateee ooristumoohaa bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

This is the Garden which ye are made to inherit because of what ye used to do.

اور وہی بہشت ہے جو میراث پائی تم نے بدلے میں ان کاموں کے جو کرتے تھے [۶۸]

لَكُمْ فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ كَثِيرَةٌۭ مِّنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ

Lakum feehaa faakihatun kaseeratum minhaa taakuloon

Therein for you is fruit in plenty whence to eat.

تمہارے واسطے ان میں بہت میوے ہیں ان میں سے کھاتے رہو [۶۹]

إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدُونَ

Innal mujrimeena fee 'azaabi jahannama khaalidoon

Lo! the guilty are immortal in hell's torment.

البتہ جو لوگ گنہگار ہیں وہ دوزخ کے عذاب میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں

لَا يُفَتَّرُ عَنْهُمْ وَهُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ

Laa yufattaru 'anhum wa hum feehi mublisoon

It is not relaxed for them, and they despair therein.

نہ ہلکا ہوتا ہے ان پر سے اور وہ اسی میں پڑے ہیں آس ٹوٹے [۷۰]

وَمَا ظَلَمْنَٰهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Wa maa zalamnaahum wa laakin kaanoo humuz zaalimeen

We wronged them not, but they it was who did the wrong.

اور ہم نے اُن پر ظلم نہیں کیا لیکن تھے وہی بے انصاف [۷۱]

وَنَادَوْا۟ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّٰكِثُونَ

Wa naadaw yaa Maaliku liyaqdi 'alainaa Rabbuka qaala innakum maakisson

And they cry: O master! Let thy Lord make an end of us. He saith: Lo! here ye must remain.

اور پکاریں گے اے مالک کہیں ہم پر فیصل کر چکے تیرا رب [۷۲] وہ کہے گا تمکو ہمیشہ رہنا ہے [۷۳]

لَقَدْ جِئْنَٰكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَٰرِهُونَ

Laqad ji'naakum bilhaqqi wa laakinna aksarakum lilhaqqi kaarihoon

We verily brought the Truth unto you, but ye were, most of you, averse to the Truth.

ہم لائے ہیں تمہارے پاس سچا دین پر تم بہت لوگ سچی بات سے برا مانتے ہو [۷۴]

أَمْ أَبْرَمُوٓا۟ أَمْرًۭا فَإِنَّا مُبْرِمُونَ

Am abramooo amran fainnaa mubrimoon

Or do they determine any thing (against the Prophet)? Lo! We (also) are determining.

کیا انہوں نے ٹھہرائی ہے ایک بات تو ہم بھی کچھ ٹھہرائیں گے [۷۵]

أَمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّا لَا نَسْمَعُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَىٰهُم ۚ بَلَىٰ وَرُسُلُنَا لَدَيْهِمْ يَكْتُبُونَ

Am yahsaboona annaa laa nasma'u sirrahum wa najwaahum; balaa wa Rusulunaa ladaihim yaktuboon

Or deem they that We cannot hear their secret thoughts and private confidences? Nay, but Our envoys, present with them, do record.

کیا خیال رکھتے ہیں کہ ہم نہیں جانتے ان کا بھید اور ان کا مشورہ کیوں نہیں اور ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے انکے پاس لکھتے رہتے ہیں [۷۶]

قُلْ إِن كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَلَدٌۭ فَأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلْعَٰبِدِينَ

Qul in kaana lir Rahmaani walad; fa-ana awwalul 'aabideen

Say (O Muhammad): If the Beneficent One hath a son, then, I shall be first among the worshippers. (But there is no son).

تو کہہ اگر ہو رحمٰن کے واسطے اولاد تو میں سب سے پہلے پوجوں [۷۷]

سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

Subhaana Rabbis samaawaati wal ardi Rabbil Arshi 'ammaa yasifoon

Glorified be the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne, from that which they ascribe (unto Him)!

پاک ذات ہے وہ رب آسمانوں کا اور زمین کا صاحب عرش کا ان باتوں سے جو یہ بیان کرتے ہیں [۷۸]

فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا۟ وَيَلْعَبُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ

Fazarhum yakhoodoo wa yal'aboo hattaa yulaaqoo Yawmahumul lazee yoo'adoon

So let them flounder (in their talk) and play until they meet the Day which they are promised.

اب چھوڑ دے انکو بک بک کریں اور کھیلیں یہاں تک کہ ملیں اپنے اس دن سے جس کا انکو وعدہ دیا ہے [۷۹]

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَٰهٌۭ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Wa Huwal lazee fissamaaa'i Ilaahunw wa fil ardi Ilaah; wa Huwal Hakeemul'Aleem

And He it is Who in the heaven is Allah, and in the earth Allah. He is the Wise, the Knower.

اور وہی ہے جس کی بندگی ہے آسمان میں اور اسکی بندگی ہے زمین میں اور وہی ہے حکمت والا سب سے خبردار [۸۰]

وَتَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَعِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

Wa tabaarakal lazee lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa wa 'indahoo 'ilmus Saa'ati wa ilaihi turja'oon

And blessed be He unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and with Whom is knowledge of the Hour, and unto Whom ye will be returned.

اور بڑی برکت ہے اسکی جس کا راج ہے آسمانوں میں اور زمین میں اور جو کچھ انکے بیچ میں ہے اور اسی کے پاس ہے خبر قیامت کی [۸۱] اور اسی تک پھر کر پہنچ جاؤ گے [۸۲]

وَلَا يَمْلِكُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَن شَهِدَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ

Wa laa yamlikul lazeena yad'oona min doonihish shafaa'ata illaa man shahida bilhaqqi wa hum ya'lamoon

And those unto whom they cry instead of Him possess no power of intercession, saving him who beareth witness unto the Truth knowingly.

اور اختیار نہیں رکھتے وہ لوگ جنکو یہ پکارتے ہیں سفارش کا مگر جس نے گواہی دی سچی اور انکو خبر تھی [۸۳]

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ

Wa la'in sa altahum man khalaqahum la yaqoolun nallaahu fa annaa yu'fakoon

And if thou ask them who created them, they will surely say: Allah. How then are they turned away?

اور اگر تو ان سے پوچھے کہ انکو کس نے بنایا تو کہیں گے اللہ نے پھر کہاں سے الٹ جاتے ہیں [۸۴]

وَقِيلِهِۦ يَٰرَبِّ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمٌۭ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Wa qeelihee yaa Rabbi inna haa'ulaaa'i qawmul laa yu'minoon

And he saith: O my Lord! Lo! these are a folk who believe not.

قسم ہے رسول کے اس کہنے کی کہ اے رب یہ لوگ ہیں کہ یقین نہیں لاتے [۸۵]

فَٱصْفَحْ عَنْهُمْ وَقُلْ سَلَٰمٌۭ ۚ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ

Fasfah 'anhum wa qul salaam; fasawfa ya'lamoon

Then bear with them (O Muhammad) and say: Peace. But they will come to know.

سو تو منہ پھیر لے انکی طرف سے اور کہہ سلام ہے [۸۶] اب آخر کو معلوم کر لیں گے [۸۷]
