Al-Jaathiya

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ حمٓ

Haa-Meeem

Ha. Mim.

حٰمٓ۔

تَنزِيلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ

Tanzeelul Kitaabi minal laahil 'Azeezil Hakeem

The revelation of the Scripture is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.

اتارنا کتاب کا ہے اللہ کی طرف سے جو زبردست ہے حکمتوں والا

إِنَّ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Innaa fis samaawaati wal ardi la Aayaatil lilmu'mineen

Lo! in the heavens and the earth are portents for believers.

بیشک آسمانوں میں اور زمین میں بہت نشانیاں ہیں ماننے والوں کے واسطے [۱]

وَفِى خَلْقِكُمْ وَمَا يَبُثُّ مِن دَآبَّةٍ ءَايَٰتٌۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُوقِنُونَ

Wa fee khalaqikum wa maa yabussu min daaabbatin Aayaatul liqawminy-yooqinoon

And in your creation, and all the beasts that He scattereth in the earth, are portents for a folk whose faith is sure.

اور تمہارے بنانے میں اور جس قدر پھیلا رکھے ہیں جانور نشانیاں ہیں ان لوگوں کے واسطے جو یقین رکھتےہیں [۲]

وَٱخْتِلَٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن رِّزْقٍۢ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَتَصْرِيفِ ٱلرِّيَٰحِ ءَايَٰتٌۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ

Wakhtilaafil laili wannahaari wa maaa anzalal laahu minas samaaa'i mir rizqin fa ahyaa bihil arda ba'da mawtihaa wa tasreefir riyaahi Aayaatul liqawminy ya'qiloon

And the difference of night and day and the provision that Allah sendeth down from the sky and thereby quickeneth the earth after her death, and the ordering of the winds, are portents for a people who have sense.

اور بدلنے میں رات دن کے اور وہ جو اتاری اللہ نے آسمان سے روزی [۳] پھر زندہ کر دیا اس سے زمین کو اس کے مرجانے کے بعد اور بدلنے میں ہواؤں کے نشانیان ہیں ان لوگوں کے واسطے جو سمجھ سےکام لیتے ہیں [۴]

تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱللَّهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ وَءَايَٰتِهِۦ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Tilka Aayatul laahi natloohaa 'alika bilhaqq, fabiayyi hadeesim ba'dal laahi wa Aayaatihee yu'minoon

These are the portents of Allah which We recite unto thee (Muhammad) with truth. Then in what fact, after Allah and His portents, will they believe?

یہ باتیں ہیں اللہ کی ہم سناتے ہیں تجھ کو ٹھیک ٹھیک پھر کونسی بات کو اللہ اور اسکی باتوں کو چھوڑ کر مانیں گے [۵]

وَيْلٌۭ لِّكُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍۢ

Wailul likulli affaakin aseem

Woe unto each sinful liar,

خرابی ہے ہر جھوٹے گنہگار کے لئے

يَسْمَعُ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِرًۭا كَأَن لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَا ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍۢ

Yasma'u Aayaatil laahi tutlaa 'alaihi summa yusirru mustakbiran ka-al lam yasma'haa fabashshirhu bi'azaabin aleem

Who heareth the revelations of Allah recited unto him, and then continueth in pride as though he heard them not. Give him tidings of a painful doom.

کہ سنتا ہے باتیں اللہ کی اسکے پاس پڑھی جاتی ہیں پھر ضد کرتا ہے غرور سے گویا سنا ہی نہیں [۶] سو خوشخبری سنا دے اسکو ایک عذاب دردناک کی

وَإِذَا عَلِمَ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا شَيْـًٔا ٱتَّخَذَهَا هُزُوًا ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ مُّهِينٌۭ

Wa izaa 'alima min Aayaatinaa shai'anit takhazahaa huzuwaa; ulaaa'ika lahum 'azaabum muheen

And when he knoweth aught of Our revelations he maketh it a jest. For such there is a shameful doom.

اور جب خبر پائے ہماری باتوں میں سے کسی کی اسکو ٹھہرائے ٹھٹھا ایسوں کو ذلت کا عذاب ہے [۷]

مِّن وَرَآئِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَلَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُم مَّا كَسَبُوا۟ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا مَا ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

Minw waraaa'ihim Jahannamu wa laa yughnee 'anhum maa kasaboo shai'anw wa laa mat takhazoo min doonil laahi awliyaaa'a wa lahum 'azaabun 'azeem

Beyond them there is hell, and that which they have earned will naught avail them, nor those whom they have chosen for protecting friends beside Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.

پرے انکے دزوخ ہے اور کام نہ آئے گا انکے جو کمایا تھا ذرا بھی اور نہ وہ کہ جنکو پکڑا تھا اللہ کے سوائے رفیق [۸] اور اُنکے واسطے بڑا عذاب ہے

هَٰذَا هُدًۭى ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ مِّن رِّجْزٍ أَلِيمٌ

Haazaa hudanw wal lazeena kafaroo bi aayaati Rabbihim lahum 'azaabum mir rijzin aleem

This is guidance. And those who disbelieve the revelations of their Lord, for them there is a painful doom of wrath.

یہ سجھا دیا اور جو منکر ہیں اپنے رب کی باتوں سے انکے لئے عذاب ہے ایک بلا کا دردناک [۹]

۞ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْبَحْرَ لِتَجْرِىَ ٱلْفُلْكُ فِيهِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

Allaahul lazee sahkhara lakumul bahra litajriyal fulku feehi bi amrihee wa litabtaghoo min fadlihee wa la'allakum tashkuroon

Allah it is Who hath made the sea of service unto you that the ships may run thereon by His command, and that ye may seek of His bounty, and that haply ye may be thankful;

اللہ وہ ہے جس نے بس میں کر دیا تمہارے دریا کو کہ چلیں اس میں جہاز اس کے حکم سے [۱۰] اور تاکہ تلاش کرو اسکے فضل سے اور تاکہ تم حق مانو [۱۱]

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا مِّنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

Wa sakhkhara lakum maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi jamee'am minh; inna feezaalika la Aayaatil liqawminy yatafakkaroon

And hath made of service unto you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; it is all from Him. Lo! herein verily are portents for a people who reflect.

اور کام میں لگا دیا تمہارے جو کچھ ہے آسمانوں میں اور زمین میں سب کو اپنی طرف سے [۱۲] اس میں نشانیاں ہیں ان لوگوں کے واسطے جو دھیان کرتے ہیں [۱۳]

قُل لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَغْفِرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ أَيَّامَ ٱللَّهِ لِيَجْزِىَ قَوْمًۢا بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ

Qul lillazeena aamanoo yaghfiroo lillazeena laa yarjoona ayyaamal laahi liyajziya qawmam bimaa kaanoo yaksiboon

Tell those who believe to forgive those who hope not for the days of Allah; in order that He may requite folk what they used to earn.

کہہ دے ایمان والوں کو درگذر کریں ان سے جو امید نہیں رکھتے اللہ کے دنوں کی [۱۴] تاکہ وہ سزا دے ایک قوم کو بدلا اس کا جو کماتے تھے [۱۵]

مَنْ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَنْ أَسَآءَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ

Maa 'amila saalihan falinafsihee wa man asaaa'a fa'alaihaa summa ilaa Rabbikum turja'oon

Whoso doeth right, it is for his soul, and whoso doeth wrong, it is against it. And afterward unto your Lord ye will be brought back.

جس نے بھلا کام کیا تو اپنے واسطے اور جس نے برا کیا سو اپنے حق میں [۱۶] پھر اپنے رب کی طرف پھیرے جاؤ گے [۱۷]

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقْنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ وَفَضَّلْنَٰهُمْ عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Wa laqad aatainaa Baneee Israaa'eelal Kitaaba walhukma wan Nubuwwata wa razaqnaahum minat taiyibaati wa faddalnaahum;alal 'aalameen

And verily we gave the Children of Israel the Scripture and the Command and the Prophethood, and provided them with good things and favoured them above (all) peoples;

اور ہم نے دی بنی اسرائیل کو کتاب اور حکومت اور پیغمبری اور کھانے کو دیں ستھری چیزیں [۱۸] اور بزرگی دی انکو جہان پر [۱۹]

وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُم بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ ۖ فَمَا ٱخْتَلَفُوٓا۟ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعِلْمُ بَغْيًۢا بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِى بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ

Wa aatainaahum baiyinaatim minal amri famakh talafooo illaa mim ba'di maa jaaa'ahumul 'ilmu baghyam bainahum; inna Rabbaka yaqdee bainahum Yawmal Qiyaamati feemaa kaanoo feehi yakhtalifoon

And gave them plain commandments. And they differed not until after the knowledge came unto them, through rivalry among themselves. Lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ.

اور دیں اُنکو کھلی باتیں دین کی [۲۰] پھر انہوں نے پھوٹ جو ڈالی تو سمجھ آ چکنے کے بعد آپس کی ضد سے بیشک تیرا رب فیصلہ کرے گا ان میں قیامت کے دن جس بات میں وہ جھگڑتے تھے [۲۱]

ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَٰكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِيعَةٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ فَٱتَّبِعْهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Summa ja'alnaaka 'alaa sharee'atim minal amri fattabi'haa wa laa tattabi'ahwaaa'al-lazeena laa ya'lamoon

And now have We set thee (O Muhammad) on a clear road of (Our) commandment; so follow it, and follow not the whims of those who know not.

پھر تجھ کو رکھا ہم نے ایک رستہ پر دین کے کام کے سو تو اسی پر چل اور مت چل خواہشوں پر نادانوں کی [۲۲]

إِنَّهُمْ لَن يُغْنُوا۟ عَنكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًۭٔا ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍۢ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ وَلِىُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

Innahum lany yughnoo 'anka minal laahi shai'aa; wa innaz zaalimeena ba'duhum awliyaaa'u ba'dinw wallaahu waliyyul muttaqeen

Lo! they can avail thee naught against Allah. And lo! as for the wrong-doers, some of them are friends of others; and Allah is the Friend of those who ward off (evil).

وہ ہر گز کام نہ آئیں گے تیرے اللہ کے سامنے ذرا بھی [۲۳] اور بے انصاف ایک دوسرے کے رفیق ہیں اور اللہ رفیق ہے ڈرنے والوں کا [۲۴]

هَٰذَا بَصَٰٓئِرُ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًۭى وَرَحْمَةٌۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُوقِنُونَ

Haazaa basaaa'iru linnaasi wa hudanw wa rahmatul liqawminy yooqinoon

This is clear indication for mankind, and a guidance and a mercy for a folk whose faith is sure.

یہ سوجھ کی باتیں ہیں لوگوں کے واسطے اور راہ کی اور رحمت ہے ان لوگوں کے لئے جو یقین لاتے ہیں [۲۵]

أَمْ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱجْتَرَحُوا۟ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن نَّجْعَلَهُمْ كَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ سَوَآءًۭ مَّحْيَاهُمْ وَمَمَاتُهُمْ ۚ سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ

Am hasibal lazeenaj tarahus saiyiaati an naj'alahum kallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilu saalihaati sawaaa'am mahyaahum wa mamaatuhum; saaa'a maa yahkumoon

Or do those who commit ill-deeds suppose that We shall make them as those who believe and do good works, the same in life and death? Bad is their judgment!

کیا خیال رکھتے ہیں جنہوں نے کمائی ہیں برائیاں کہ ہم کر دیں گے انکو برابر ان لوگوں کی جو کہ یقین لائے اور کیے بھلے کام ایک سا ہے ان کا جینا اور مرنا برے دعوے ہیں جو کرتے ہیں [۲۶]

وَخَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلِتُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ

Wa khalaqal laahus samaawaati wal arda bilhaqqi wa litujzaa kullu nafsim bimaa kasabat wa hum laa yuzlamoon

And Allah hath created the heavens and the earth with truth, and that every soul may be repaid what it hath earned. And they will not be wronged.

اور بنائے اللہ نے آسمان اور زمین جیسے چاہئیں اور تاکہ بدلا پائے ہر کوئی اپنی کمائی کا اور ان پر ظلم نہ ہو گا۔ [۲۷]

أَفَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ وَأَضَلَّهُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍۢ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِۦ وَقَلْبِهِۦ وَجَعَلَ عَلَىٰ بَصَرِهِۦ غِشَٰوَةًۭ فَمَن يَهْدِيهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

Afara'ayta manit takhaza ilaahahoo hawaahu wa adal lahul laahu 'alaa 'ilminw wa khatama 'alaa sam'ihee wa qalbihee wa ja'ala 'alaa basarihee ghishaawatan famany yahdeehi mim ba'dil laah; afalaa tazakkaroon

Hast thou seen him who maketh his desire his god, and Allah sendeth him astray purposely, and sealeth up his hearing and his heart, and setteth on his sight a covering? Then who will lead him after Allah (hath condemned him)? Will ye not then heed?

بھلا دیکھ تو جس نے ٹھہرا لیا اپنا حاکم اپنی خواہش کو اور راہ سے بچلا دیا اسکو اللہ نے جانتا بوجھتا [۲۸] اور مہر لگا دی اسکے کان پر اوردل پر اور ڈالدی اسکی آنکھ پر اندھیری پھر کون راہ پر لائے اسکو اللہ کے سوائے سو کیا تم غور نہیں کرتے [۲۹]

وَقَالُوا۟ مَا هِىَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا ٱلدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا يُهْلِكُنَآ إِلَّا ٱلدَّهْرُ ۚ وَمَا لَهُم بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَظُنُّونَ

Wa qaaloo maa hiya illaa hayaatunad dunyaa namootu wa nahyaa wa maa yuhlikunaaa illad dahr; wa maa lahum bizaalika min 'ilmin in hum illaayazunnoon

And they say: There is naught but our life of the world; we die and we live, and naught destroyeth us save time; when they have no knowledge whatsoever of (all) that; they do but guess.

اور کہتے ہیں اورکچھ نہیں بس یہی ہے ہمارا جینا دنیا کا ہم مرتے ہیں اور جیتے ہیں اور ہم جو مرتے ہیں سو زمانہ سے [۳۰] اور انکو کچھ خبر نہیں اسکی محض اٹکلیں دوڑاتے ہیں [۳۱]

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ مَّا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ ٱئْتُوا۟ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

Wa izaa tutlaa 'alaihim aayaatuna baiyinaatim maa kaana hujjatahum illaaa an qaalu'too bi aabaaa'inaaa in kuntum saadiqeen

And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them their only argument is that they say: Bring (back) our fathers. then, if ye are truthful.

اور جب سنائی جاتیں انکو ہماری آیتیں کھلی کھلی اور کچھ دلیل نہیں انکی مگر یہی کہتے ہیں لے آؤ ہمارے باپ دادوں کو اگر تم سچے ہو [۳۲]

قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Qulil laahu yuhyeekum summa yumeetukum summa yajma'ukum ilaa Yawmil Qiyaamati laa raiba feehi wa laakinna aksaran naasi laa ya'lamoon

Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Allah giveth life to you, then causeth you to die, then gathereth you unto the Day of Resurrection whereof there is no doubt. But most of mankind know not.

تو کہہ کہ اللہ ہی جِلاتا ہے تمکو پھر مارے گا تمکو پھر اکھٹا کرے گا تمکو قیامت کے دن تک اس میں کچھ شک نہیں پر بہت لوگ نہیں سمجھتے [۳۳]

وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَخْسَرُ ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ

Wa lillaahi mulkus samaawaati wal ard; wa Yawma taqoomus Saa'atu Yawma 'iziny yakhsarul mubtiloon

And unto Allah belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and on the day when the Hour riseth, on that day those who follow falsehood will be lost.

اور اللہ ہی کا راج ہے آسمانوں میں اور زمین میں اور جس دن قائم ہو گی قیامت اس دن خراب ہوں گے جھوٹے [۳۴]

وَتَرَىٰ كُلَّ أُمَّةٍۢ جَاثِيَةًۭ ۚ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍۢ تُدْعَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ كِتَٰبِهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Wa taraa kulla ummatin jaasiyah; kullu ummatin tud'aaa ilaa kitaabihaa al Yawma tujzawna maa kuntum ta'maloon

And thou wilt see each nation crouching, each nation summoned to its record. (And it will be said unto them): This day ye are requited what ye used to do.

اور تو دیکھے ہر فرقہ کو کہ بیٹھے ہیں گھٹنوں کے بل [۳۵] ہر فرقہ بلایا جائے اپنے اپنے دفتر کے پاس آج بدلا پاؤ گے جیسا تم کرتے تھے [۳۶]

هَٰذَا كِتَٰبُنَا يَنطِقُ عَلَيْكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Haazaa kitaabunaa yantiqu 'alaikum bilhaqq; innaa kunnaa nastansikhu maa kuntum ta'maloon

This Our Book pronounceth against you with truth. Lo! We have caused (all) that ye did to be recorded.

یہ ہمارا دفتر ہے بولتا ہے تمہارے کام ٹھیک [۳۷] ہم لکھواتے جاتے تھے جو کچھ تم کرتے تھے [۳۸]

فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

Fa ammal lazeena aamaanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati fayudkhiluhum Rabbuhum fee rahmatih; zaalika huwal fawzul mubeen

Then, as for those who believed and did good works, their Lord will bring them in unto His mercy. That is the evident triumph.

سو جو لوگ یقین لائے ہیں اور بھلے کام کیے سو انکو داخل کرے گا ان کا رب اپنی رحمت میں یہ جو ہے یہی ہے صریح مراد ملنی [۳۹]

وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَفَلَمْ تَكُنْ ءَايَٰتِى تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْمًۭا مُّجْرِمِينَ

Wa ammal lazeena kafarooo afalam takun Aayaatee tutlaa 'alaikum fastakbartum wa kuntum qawmam mujrimeen

And as for those who disbelieved (it will be said unto them): Were not Our revelations recited unto you? But ye were scornful and became a guilty folk.

اور جو منکر ہوئے کیا تمکو سنائی نہ جاتی تھی باتیں میری پھر تم نے غرور کیا اور ہو گئے تم لوگ گنہگار [۴۰]

وَإِذَا قِيلَ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّۭ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا قُلْتُم مَّا نَدْرِى مَا ٱلسَّاعَةُ إِن نَّظُنُّ إِلَّا ظَنًّۭا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَ

Wa izaa qeela inna wa'dallaahi haqqunw was Saa'atu laa raiba feehaa qultum maa nadree mas Saa'atu in nazunnu illaa zannanw wa maa nahnu bimustaiqineen

And when it was said: Lo! Allah's promise is the truth, and there is no doubt of the Hour's coming, ye said: We know not what the Hour is. We deem it naught but a conjecture, and we are by no means convinced.

اور جب کہیے کہ وعدہ اللہ کا ٹھیک ہے اور قیامت میں کچھ شبہ نہیں تم کہتے تھے ہم نہیں سمجھتے کیا ہے قیامت ہم کو آتا تو ہے ایک خیال سا اور ہم کو یقین نہیں ہوتا [۴۱]

وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

Wa badaa lahum saiyiaatu maa 'amiloo wa haaqa bihim maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon

And the evils of what they did will appear unto them, and that which they used to deride will befall them.

اور کھل جائیں ان پر برائیاں ان کاموں کی جو کئے تھے اور الٹ پڑے ان پر وہ چیز جس پر ٹھٹھا کرتے تھے [۴۲]

وَقِيلَ ٱلْيَوْمَ نَنسَىٰكُمْ كَمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا وَمَأْوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ

Wa qeelal yawma nansaakum kamaa naseetum liqaaa'a yawmikum haazaa wa maawaakumun Naaru wa maa lakum min naasireen

And it will be said: This day We forget you, even as ye forgot the meeting of this your day; and your habitation is the Fire, and there is none to help you.

اور حکم ہو گا کہ آج ہم تم کو بھلا دیں گے جیسے تم نے بھلا دیا تھا اپنے اس دن کی ملاقات کو [۴۳] اور گھر تمہارا دوزخ ہے اور کوئی نہیں تمہارا مددگار

ذَٰلِكُم بِأَنَّكُمُ ٱتَّخَذْتُمْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ هُزُوًۭا وَغَرَّتْكُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا يُخْرَجُونَ مِنْهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ

Zaalikum bi annakumut takhaztum aayaatil laahi huzuwanw wa gharratkumul hayaatud dunyaa; fal yawma laa yukhrajoona minhaa wa laahum yusta'taboon

This, forasmuch as ye made the revelations of Allah a jest, and the life of the world beguiled you. Therefor this day they come not forth from thence, nor can they make amends.

یہ تم پر اس واسطے کہ تم نے پکڑا اللہ کی باتوں کو ٹھٹھا اور بہکے رہے دنیا کی زندگانی پر [۴۴] سو آج نہ انکو نکالنا منظور ہے وہاں سے اور نہ ان سے مطلوب ہے توبہ [۴۵]

فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْحَمْدُ رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَرَبِّ ٱلْأَرْضِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Falillaahil hamdu Rabbis samaawaati wa Rabbil ardi Rabbil-'aalameen

Then praise be to Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, the Lord of the Worlds.

سو اللہ ہی کے واسطے ہے سب خوبی جو رب ہے آسمانوں کا اور رب ہے زمین کا رب سارے جہان کا

وَلَهُ ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

Wa lahul kibriyaaa'u fissamaawaati wal ardi wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem

And unto Him (alone) belongeth Majesty in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

اور اُسی کیلئے بڑائی ہے آسمانوں میں اور زمین میں اور وہی ہے زبردست حکمت والا [۴۶]
