Al-Maaida

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَوْفُوا۟ بِٱلْعُقُودِ ۚ أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّى ٱلصَّيْدِ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo awfoo bil'uqood; uhillat lakum baheematul an'aami illaa maa yutlaa 'alaikum ghaira muhillis saidi wa antum hurum; innal laaha yahkumu maa yureed

O ye who believe! Fulfil your indentures. The beast of cattle is made lawful unto you (for food) except that which is announced unto you (herein), game being unlawful when ye are on the pilgrimage. Lo! Allah ordaineth that which pleaseth Him.

اے ایمان والو پورا کرو عہدوں کو [۱] حلا ل ہوئے تمہارے لئے چوپائے مویشی [۲] سو اے انکے جو تم کو آگے سنائےجاویں گے [۳] مگر حلال نہ جانو شکار کو احرام کی حالت میں [۴] اللہ حکم کرتا ہے جو چاہے [۵]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحِلُّوا۟ شَعَٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا ٱلشَّهْرَ ٱلْحَرَامَ وَلَا ٱلْهَدْىَ وَلَا ٱلْقَلَٰٓئِدَ وَلَآ ءَآمِّينَ ٱلْبَيْتَ ٱلْحَرَامَ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًۭا مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَٰنًۭا ۚ وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَٱصْطَادُوا۟ ۚ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُوا۟ ۘ وَتَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tuhilloo sha'aaa 'iral laahi wa lash Shahral Haraama wa lal hadya wa lal qalaaa'ida wa laa aaammeenal Baital Haraama yabtaghoona fadlam mir Rabbihim wa ridwaanaa; wa izaa halaltum fastaadoo; wa laa yajrimannakum shana aanu qawmin an saddookum 'anil Masjidil-Haraami an ta'tadoo; wa ta'aawanoo 'alalbirri wattaqwaa; wa laa ta'aawanoo 'alal ismi wal'udwaan; wattaqul laah; innal laaha shadeedul 'iqaab

O ye who believe! Profane not Allah's monuments nor the Sacred Month nor the offerings nor the garlands, nor those repairing to the Sacred House, seeking the grace and pleasure of their Lord. But when ye have left the sacred territory, then go hunting (if ye will). And let not your hatred of a folk who (once) stopped your going to the inviolable place of worship seduce you to transgress; but help ye one another unto righteousness and pious duty. Help not one another unto sin and transgression, but keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is severe in punishment.

اے ایمان والو حلال نہ سمجھو اللہ کی نشانیوں کو [۶] اور نہ ادب والے مہینہ کو [۷] اور نہ اس جانور کو جو نیاز کعبہ کی ہو اور نہ جنکے گلے میں پٹا ڈال کر لیجاویں کعبہ کو [۸] اور نہ آنے والوں کو حرمت والے گھر کی طرف جو ڈھونڈتے ہیں فضل اپنے رب کا اور اسکی خوشی [۹] اور جب احرام سے نکلو تو شکار کر لو [۱۰] اور باعث نہ ہو تم کو اس قوم کی دشمنی جو کہ تم کو روکتی تھی حرمت والی مسجد سے اس پر کہ زیادتی کرنے لگو [۱۱] اور آپس میں مدد کرو نیک کام پر اور پرہیزگاری پر اور مدد نہ کرو گناہ پر اور ظلم پر [۱۲] اور ڈرتے رہو اللہ سے بیشک اللہ کا عذاب سخت ہے [۱۳]

حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَيْتَةُ وَٱلدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ ٱلْخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦ وَٱلْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَٱلْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَٱلْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَٱلنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَآ أَكَلَ ٱلسَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى ٱلنُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسْتَقْسِمُوا۟ بِٱلْأَزْلَٰمِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ ۗ ٱلْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن دِينِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَٱخْشَوْنِ ۚ ٱلْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِى وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلْإِسْلَٰمَ دِينًۭا ۚ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ فِى مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍۢ لِّإِثْمٍۢ ۙ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Hurrimat 'alaikumul maitatu waddamu wa lahmul khinzeeri wa maaa uhilla lighiril laahi bihee walmun khani qatu wal mawqoozatu wal mutarad diyatu wanna teehatu wa maaa akalas sabu'u illaa maa zakkaitum wa maa zubiha 'alan nusubi wa an tastaqsimoo bil azlaam; zaalikum fisq; alyawma ya'isal lazeena kafaroo min deenikum falaa takhshawhum wakh shawn; alyawma akmaltu lakum deenakum wa atmamtu 'alaikum ni'matee wa radeetu lakumul Islaama deenaa; famanidturra fee makhmasatin ghaira mutajaanifil li ismin fa innallaaha Ghafoorur Raheem

Forbidden unto you (for food) are carrion and blood and swineflesh, and that which hath been dedicated unto any other than Allah, and the strangled, and the dead through beating, and the dead through falling from a height, and that which hath been killed by (the goring of) horns, and the devoured of wild beasts, saving that which ye make lawful (by the death-stroke), and that which hath been immolated unto idols. And (forbidden is it) that ye swear by the divining arrows. This is an abomination. This day are those who disbelieve in despair of (ever harming) your religion; so fear them not, fear Me! This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour unto you, and have chosen for you as religion al-Islam. Whoso is forced by hunger, not by will, to sin: (for him) lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

حرام ہوا تم پر مردہ جانور [۱۴] اور لہو [۱۵] اور گوشت سور کا اور جس جانور پر نام پکارا جائے اللہ کے سوا کسی اور کا اور جو مر گیا ہو گلا گھونٹنے سے یاچوٹ سے یا اونچے سے گر کر یا سینگ مارنے سے اور جس کو کھایا ہو درندہ نے مگر جس کو تم نےذبح کر لیا اور حرام ہے جو ذبح ہوا کسی تھان پر [۱۶] اور یہ کہ تقسیم کرو جوئے کے تیروں سے [۱۷] یہ گناہ کا کام ہے آج ناامید ہو گئے کافر تمہارے دین سے سو ان سے مت ڈرو اور مجھ سے ڈرو [۱۸] آج میں پورا کر چکا تمہارے لئے دین تمہارا [۱۹] اور پورا کیا تم پر میں نے احسان اپنا [۲۰] اور پسند کیا میں نے تمہارے واسطےاسلام کو دین [۲۱] پھر جو کوئی لاچار ہو جاوے بھوک میں لیکن گناہ پر مائل نہ ہو تو اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے [۲۲]

يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَآ أُحِلَّ لَهُمْ ۖ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُ ۙ وَمَا عَلَّمْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۖ فَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّآ أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ

Yas'aloonaka maazaaa uhilla lahum; qul uhilla lakumuttaiyibaatu wa maa'allamtum minal jawaarihi mukallibeena tu'allimoonahunnamimmaa 'allamakumul laahu fakuloo mimmaaa amsakna 'alaikum wazkurus mal laahi 'alaih; wattaqul laah; innal laaha saree'ul hisaab

They ask thee (O Muhammad) what is made lawful for them. Say: (all) good things are made lawful for you. And those beasts and birds of prey which ye have trained as hounds are trained, ye teach them that which Allah taught you; so eat of that which they catch for you and mention Allah's name upon it, and observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is swift to take account.

تجھ سے پوچھتے ہیں کہ کیا چیز ان کےلئے حلال ہے کہہ دے تم کو حلال ہیں ستھری چیزیں [۲۳] اور جو سدھاؤ شکاری جانور شکار پر دوڑانے کو کہ ان کو سکھاتے ہو اس میں سےجو اللہ نے تم کو سکھایا ہے سو کھاؤ اس میں سے جو پکڑ رکھیں تمہارےواسطے اور اللہ کا نام لو اس پر [۲۴] اور ڈرتے رہو اللہ سے بیشک اللہ جلد لینے والا ہے حساب [۲۵]

ٱلْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُ ۖ وَطَعَامُ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ حِلٌّۭ لَّكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّۭ لَّهُمْ ۖ وَٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ وَٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ إِذَآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَٰفِحِينَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذِىٓ أَخْدَانٍۢ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِٱلْإِيمَٰنِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُۥ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ

Alyawma uhilla lakumut taiyibaatu wa ta'aamul lazeena ootul Kitaaba hillul lakum wa ta'aamukum hillul lahum wal muhsanaatu minal mu'minaati walmuhsanaatu minal lazeena ootul Kitaaba min qablikum izaaa aataitumoohunna ujoorahunna muhsineena ghaira musaafiheena wa laa muttakhizeee akhdaan; wa mai yakfur bil eemaani faqad habita 'amaluhoo wa huwa fil Aaakhirati minal khaasireen

This day are (all) good things made lawful for you. The food of those who have received the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. And so are the virtuous women of the believers and the virtuous women of those who received the Scripture before you (lawful for you) when ye give them their marriage portions and live with them in honour, not in fornication, nor taking them as secret concubines. Whoso denieth the faith, his work is vain and he will be among the losers in the Hereafter.

آج حلال ہوئیں تم کو سب ستھری چیزیں [۲۶] اور اہل کتاب کا کھانا تم کو حلال ہے [۲۷] اور تمہارا کھانا ان کو حلال ہے [۲۸] اور حلال ہیں تم کو پاکدامن عورتیں مسلمان [۲۹] اور پاکدامن عورتیں ان میں سےجن کو دی گئ کتاب [۳۰] تم سے پہلےجب دو ان کو مہر ان کے قید میں لانے کو [۳۱] نہ مستی نکالنے کو اور نہ چھپی آشنائی کرنے کو [۳۲] اور جو منکر ہوا ایمان سے تو ضائع ہوئی محنت اس کی اور آخرت میں وہ ٹوٹے والوں میں ہے [۳۳]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَٱغْسِلُوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْمَرَافِقِ وَٱمْسَحُوا۟ بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْكَعْبَيْنِ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُمْ جُنُبًۭا فَٱطَّهَّرُوا۟ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰٓ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَآءَ أَحَدٌۭ مِّنكُم مِّنَ ٱلْغَآئِطِ أَوْ لَٰمَسْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا۟ مَآءًۭ فَتَيَمَّمُوا۟ صَعِيدًۭا طَيِّبًۭا فَٱمْسَحُوا۟ بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُم مِّنْهُ ۚ مَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيَجْعَلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ حَرَجٍۢ وَلَٰكِن يُرِيدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ وَلِيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo izaa qumtum ilas Salaati faghsiloo wujoohakum wa Aidiyakum ilal maraafiqi wamsahoo biru'oosikum wa arjulakum ilal ka'bayn; wa in kuntum junuban fattahharoo; wain kuntum mardaaa aw'alaa safarin aw jaaa'a ahadum minkum minal ghaaa'iti aw laamastumunnisaaa'a falam tajidoo maaa'an fatayammamoo sa'eedan taiyiban famsahoo biwujoohikum wa aideekum minh; ma yureedul laahu liyaj'ala 'alaikum min harajinw wa laakidy yureedu liyutahhirakum wa liyutimma m'matahoo 'alaikum la'allakum tashkuroon

O ye who believe! When ye rise up for prayer, wash you faces, and your hands up to the elbows, and lightly rub your heads and (wash) your feet up to the ankles. And if ye are unclean, purify yourselves. And if ye are sick or on a journey, or one of you cometh from the closet, or ye have had contact with women, and ye find not water, then go to clean, high ground and rub your faces and your hands with some of it. Allah would not place a burden on you, but He would purify you and would perfect His grace upon you, that ye may give thanks.

اے ایمان والو [۳۴] جب تم اٹھو [۳۵] نماز کو تو دھو لو اپنے منہ اور ہاتھ کہنیوں تک اور مل لو اپنے سر کو [۳۶] اور پاؤں ٹخنوں تک [۳۷] اور اگر تم کو جنابت ہو تو خوب طرح پاک ہو [۳۸] اور اگر تم بیمار ہو یا سفر میں یا کوئی تم میں آیا ہے جائے ضرور سے یا پاس گئے ہو عورتوں کے پھر نہ پاؤ تم پانی تو قصد کرو مٹی پاک کا اور مل لو اپنے منہ اور ہاتھ اس سے [۳۹] اللہ نہیں چاہتا کہ تم پر تنگی کرے [۴۰] لیکن چاہتا ہے کہ تم کو پاک کرے [۴۱] اور پورا کرے اپنا احسان تم پر تاکہ تم احسان مانو [۴۲]

وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمِيثَٰقَهُ ٱلَّذِى وَاثَقَكُم بِهِۦٓ إِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

Wazkuroo ni'matal laahi 'alaikum wa meesaaqahul lazee waasaqakum biheee iz qultum sami'naa wa ata'naa wattaqul laah; innal laaha 'aleemum bizaatis sudoor

Remember Allah's grace upon you and His covenant by which He bound you when ye said: We hear and we obey; And keep your duty to Allah. Lo! He knoweth what is in the breasts (of men).

اور یاد کرو احسان اللہ کا اپنے اوپر اور عہد اس کا جو تم سے ٹھہرایا تھا جب تم نے کہا تھا کہ ہم نے سنا اور مانا [۴۳] اور ڈرتے رہو اللہ سے اللہ خوب جانتا ہے دلوں کی بات [۴۴]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُونُوا۟ قَوَّٰمِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَآءَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۖ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا۟ ۚ ٱعْدِلُوا۟ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamaanoo koonoo qawwaa meena lillaahi shuhadaaa'a bilqist, wa laa yajrimannakum shana aanu qawmin 'alaaa allaa ta'diloo; i'diloo; huwa aqrabu littaqwaa wattaqul laah; innal laaha khabeerum bimaa ta'maloon

O ye who believe! Be steadfast witnesses for Allah in equity, and let not hatred of any people seduce you that ye deal not justly. Deal justly, that is nearer to your duty. Observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do.

اے ایمان والو کھڑے ہو جایا کرو اللہ کے واسطے گواہی دینے کو انصاف کی [۴۵] اور کسی قوم کی دشمنی کے باعث انصاف کو ہر گز نہ چھوڑو [۴۶] عدل کرو یہ بات زیادہ نزدیک ہے تقویٰ سے [۴۷] اور ڈرتے رہو اللہ سے اللہ کو خوب خبر ہے جو تم کرتے ہو [۴۸]

وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ ۙ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

Wa'adal laahul lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum maghfiratunw wa ajrun 'azeem

Allah hath promised those who believe and do good works: Theirs will be forgiveness and immense reward.

وعدہ کیا اللہ نے ایمان والوں سے اور جو نیک عمل کرتے ہیں کہ انکے واسطے بخشش اور بڑا ثواب ہے [۴۹]

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

Wallazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaaa ulaaa'ika Ashaabul Jaheem

And they who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, such are rightful owners of hell.

اور جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا اور جھٹلائیں ہماری آیتیں وہ ہیں دوزخ والے [۵۰]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ أَن يَبْسُطُوٓا۟ إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَكَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ

Yaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanuz kuroo ni'matallaahi 'alaikum iz hamma qawmun ai yabsutooo ilaikum aidiyahm fakaffa aidiyahum 'ankum wattaqullaah; wa'alal laahi fal yatawakalil mu'minoon

O ye who believe! Remember Allah's favour unto you, how a people were minded to stretch out their hands against you but He withheld their hands from you; and keep your duty to Allah. In Allah let believers put their trust.

اے ایمان والو یاد رکھو احسان اللہ کا اپنے اوپر جب قصد کیا لوگوں نے کہ تم پر ہاتھ چلاویں پھر روک دیے تم سے ان کے ہاتھ اور ڈرتے رہو اللہ سے اور اللہ ہی پر چاہئے بھروسہ ایمان والوں کو [۵۱]

۞ وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ ٱثْنَىْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًۭا ۖ وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّى مَعَكُمْ ۖ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَيْتُمُ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَءَامَنتُم بِرُسُلِى وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًۭا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ مِنكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ

Wa laqad akhazal laahu meesaaqa Banee Israaa'eela wa ba'sanaa minhumus ani 'ashara naqeebanw wa qaalal laahu innee ma'akum la'in aqamtumus Salaata wa aataitumuz Zakaata wa aamantum bi Rusulee wa'azzartumoohum wa aqradtumul laaha qardan hasanal la ukaffiranna 'ankum saiyiaatikum wa la udkhilan nakum Jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaar; faman kafara ba'da zaalika minkum faqad dalla sawaaa'as Sabeel

Allah made a covenant of old with the Children of Israel and We raised among them twelve chieftains, and Allah said: Lo! I am with you. If ye establish worship and pay the poor-due, and believe in My messengers and support them, and lend unto Allah a kindly loan, surely I shall remit your sins, and surely I shall bring you into Gardens underneath which rivers flow. Whoso among you disbelieveth after this will go astray from a plain road.

اور لے چکا ہے اللہ عہد بنی اسرائیل سے [۵۲] اور مقرر کئے ہم نے ان میں بارہ سردار [۵۳] اور کہا اللہ نے میں تمہارے ساتھ ہو [۵۴] اگر تم قائم رکھو گے نماز اور دیتے رہو گے زکوٰۃ اور یقین لاؤ گے میرے رسولوں پر اور مدد کرو گے ان کی [۵۵] اور قرض دو گے اللہ کو [۵۶] اچھی طرح کا قرض [۵۷] تو البتہ دور کروں گا میں تم سے گناہ تمہارے اور داخل کروں گا تم کو باغوں میں کہ جن کے نیچے بہتی ہیں نہریں [۵۸] پھر جو کوئی کافر رہا تم میں سے اس کے بعد تو وہ بیشک گمراہ ہوا سیدھے راستہ سے [۵۹]

فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمْ لَعَنَّٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ قَٰسِيَةًۭ ۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ ۙ وَنَسُوا۟ حَظًّۭا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ وَلَا تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَىٰ خَآئِنَةٍۢ مِّنْهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا مِّنْهُمْ ۖ فَٱعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَٱصْفَحْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Fabimaa naqdihim meesaa qahum la'annaahum wa ja'alnaa quloobahum qaasiyatany yuharrifoonal kalima 'ammawaadi'ihee wa nasoo hazzam mimmaa zukkiroo bih; khaaa'inatim minhum illaa qaleelam minhum fa'fu 'anhum wasfah; innal laaha yuhibbul muhsineen

And because of their breaking their covenant, We have cursed them and made hard their hearts. They change words from their context and forget a part of that whereof they were admonished. Thou wilt not cease to discover treachery from all save a few of them. But bear with them and pardon them. Lo! Allah loveth the kindly.

سو ان کے عہد توڑنے پر ہم نے ان پر لعنت کی [۶۰] اور کر دیا ہم نے ان کے دلوں کو سخت پھیرتے ہیں کلام کو اسکے ٹھکانے سے [۶۱] اور بھول گئے نفع اٹھانا اس نصیحت سے جو انکو کی گئ تھی [۶۲] اور ہمیشہ تو مطلع ہوتا رہتا ہے ان کی کسی دغا پر [۶۳] مگر تھوڑے لوگ ان میں سے [۶۴] سو معاف کر اور درگذر کر ان سے اللہ دوست رکھتا ہے احسان کرنے والوں کو [۶۵]

وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰٓ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَٰقَهُمْ فَنَسُوا۟ حَظًّۭا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَأَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ ٱلْعَدَاوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۚ وَسَوْفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ

Wa minal lazeena qaalooo innaa nasaaraaa akhaznaa meesaaqahum fanasoo hazzam mimmaa zukkiroo bihee fa aghrainaa binahumul 'adaawata walbaghdaaa'a ilaa yawmil Qiyaamah; wa sawfa yunabbi'uhumul laahu bimaa kaanoo yasna'oon

And with those who say: "Lo! we are Christians," We made a covenant, but they forgot a part of that whereof they were admonished. Therefor We have stirred up enmity and hatred among them till the Day of Resurrection, when Allah will inform them of their handiwork.

اور وہ جو کہتے ہیں اپنے کو نصاریٰ [۶۶] ان سے بھی لیا تھا ہم نے عہد ان کا پھر بھول گئے نفعع اٹھانا اس نصیحت سے جو انکو کی گئ تھی [۶۷] پھر ہم نے لگا دی آپس میں انکی دشمنی اور کینہ [۶۸] قیامت کے دن تک [۶۹] اور آخر جتا دے گا ان کو اللہ جو کچھ کرتے تھے [۷۰]

يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًۭا مِّمَّا كُنتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَيَعْفُوا۟ عَن كَثِيرٍۢ ۚ قَدْ جَآءَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ نُورٌۭ وَكِتَٰبٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

yaaa Ahlal kitaabi qad jaaa'akum Rasoolunaa yubaiyinu lakum kaseeram mimmmaa kuntum tukhfoona minal Kitaabi wa ya'foo 'an kaseer; qad jaaa'akum minal laahi noorunw wa Kitaabum Mubeen

O People of the Scripture! Now hath Our messenger come unto you, expounding unto you much of that which ye used to hide in the Scripture, and forgiving much. now hath come unto you light from Allah and plain Scripture,

اے کتاب والو تحقیق آیا ہے تمہارے پاس رسول ہمارا ظاہر کرتا ہے تم پر بہت سی چیزیں جن کو تم چھپاتے تھے کتاب میں سے اور درگزر کرتا ہے بہت چیزوں سے [۷۱] بیشک تمہارے پاس آئی ہے اللہ کی طرف سے روشنی اور کتاب ظاہر کرنے والی

يَهْدِى بِهِ ٱللَّهُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ رِضْوَٰنَهُۥ سُبُلَ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ وَيُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذْنِهِۦ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ

Yahdee bihil laahu manit taba'a ridwaanahoo subulas salaami wa yukhrijuhum minaz zulumaati ilan noori bi iznihee wa yahdeehim ilaa Siraatim Mustaqeem

Whereby Allah guideth him who seeketh His good pleasure unto paths of peace. He bringeth them out of darkness unto light by His decree, and guideth them unto a straight path.

جس سے اللہ ہدایت کرتا ہے اس کو جو تابع ہوا اسکی رضا کا سلامتی کی راہیں اور ان کو نکالتا ہے اندھیروں سے روشنی میں اپنے حکم سے اور ان کو چلاتا ہے سیدھی راہ [۷۲]

لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۚ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا إِنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُهْلِكَ ٱلْمَسِيحَ ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُۥ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا ۗ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ

Laqad kafaral lazeena qaalooo innal laaha huwal maseehub nu Maryam; qul famany-yamliku minal laahi shai'an in araada ai yuhlikal Maseehab na Maryama wa ummahoo wa man fil ardi jamee'aa, wa lillaahi mmulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa; yakhluqu maa Yashaaa'; wakhluqu maa yashaaa'; wallaahu 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer

They indeed have disbelieved who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. Say: Who then can do aught against Allah, if He had willed to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on earth? Allah's is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He createth what He will. And Allah is Able to do all things.

بیشک کافر ہوئے جنہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ تو وہی مسیح ہے مریم کا بیٹا [۷۳] تو کہہ دے پھر کس کا بس چل سکتا ہے اللہ کے آگے اگر وہ چاہے کہ ہلاک کرے مسیح مریم کے بیٹے کو اور اس کی ماں کو اور جتنے لوگ ہیں زمین میں سب کو [۷۴] اور اللہ ہی کے واسطے ہے سلطنت آسمانوں اور زمین کی اور جو کچھ درمیان ان دونوں کے ہے پیدا کرتا ہے جو چاہے [۷۵] اور اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے [۷۶]

وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ نَحْنُ أَبْنَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱللَّهِ وَأَحِبَّٰٓؤُهُۥ ۚ قُلْ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُم بِذُنُوبِكُم ۖ بَلْ أَنتُم بَشَرٌۭ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

Wa qaalatil Yahoodu wan Nasaaraa nahnu abnaaa'ul laahi wa ahibbaaa'uh; qul falima yu'azzibukum bizunoobikum bal antum basharum mimmman khalaq; yaghfiru limai yashaaa'u wa yu'azzibu mai yashaaa'; wa lillaahi mulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa wa ilaihil maseer

The Jews and Christians say: We are sons of Allah and His loved ones. Say: Why then doth He chastise you for your sins? Nay, ye are but mortals of His creating. He forgiveth whom He will, and chastiseth whom He will. Allah's is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and unto Him is the journeying.

اور کہتے ہیں یہود اور نصاریٰ ہم بیٹے ہیں اللہ کے اور اسکے پیارے [۷۷] تو کہہ پھر کیوں عذاب کرتا ہے تم کو تمہارے گناہوں پر [۷۸] کوئی نہیں بلکہ تم بھی ایک آدمی ہو اسکی مخلوق میں [۷۹] بخشے جس کو چاہے اور عذاب کرے جس کو چاہے [۸۰] اور اللہ ہی کے لئے ہے سلطنت آسمان اور زمین کی اور جو کچھ دونوں کے بیچ میں ہے اور اسکی کی طرف لوٹ کر جانا ہے [۸۱]

يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلَىٰ فَتْرَةٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ أَن تَقُولُوا۟ مَا جَآءَنَا مِنۢ بَشِيرٍۢ وَلَا نَذِيرٍۢ ۖ فَقَدْ جَآءَكُم بَشِيرٌۭ وَنَذِيرٌۭ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ

Yaaa Ahlal Kitaabi qad jaaa'akum Rasoolunaa yubaiyinu lakum 'alaa fatratim minal Rusuli an taqooloo maa jaaa'anaa mim basheerinw wa laa nazeerin faqad jaaa'akum basheerunw wa nazeer; wallaahu 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer

O People of the Scripture! Now hath Our messenger come unto you to make things plain unto you after an interval (of cessation) of the messengers, lest ye should say: There came not unto us a messenger of cheer nor any warner. Now hath a messenger of cheer and a warner come unto you. Allah is Able to do all things.

اے کتاب والو آیا ہے تمہارے پاس رسول ہمارا کھولتا ہے تم پر [۸۲] رسولوں کے انقطاع کے بعد کبھی تم کہنے لگو کہ ہمارے پاس نہ آیا کوئی خوشی یا ڈر سنانے والا سو آ چکا تمہارے پاس خوشی اور ڈر سنانے والا [۸۳] اور اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے [۸۴]

وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِۦ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَعَلَ فِيكُمْ أَنۢبِيَآءَ وَجَعَلَكُم مُّلُوكًۭا وَءَاتَىٰكُم مَّا لَمْ يُؤْتِ أَحَدًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Qa iz qaala Moosaa liqawmihee yaa qawmiz kuroo ni'matal laahi 'alaikum iz ja'ala feekum mulookanw wa aataakum maa lam yu'ti ahadam minal 'aalameen

And (remember) when Moses said unto his people: O my people! Remember Allah's favour unto you, how He placed among you prophets, and He made you kings, and gave you that (which) He gave not to any (other) of (His) creatures.

اور جب کہا موسٰی نے اپنی قوم کو اے قوم یاد کرو احسان اللہ کا اپنے اوپر [۸۵] جب پیدا کئے تم میں نبی [۸۶] اور کر دیا تم کو بادشاہ [۸۷] اور دیا تم کو جو نہیں دیا تھا کسی کو جہان میں [۸۸]

يَٰقَوْمِ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ ٱلْمُقَدَّسَةَ ٱلَّتِى كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَرْتَدُّوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَارِكُمْ فَتَنقَلِبُوا۟ خَٰسِرِينَ

Yaa qawmid khulul Ardal MMuqaddasatal latee katabal laahu lakum wa laa tartaddoo 'alaaa adbaarikum fatanqaliboo khaasireen

O my people! Go into the holy land which Allah hath ordained for you. Turn not in flight, for surely ye turn back as losers:

اے قوم داخل ہو زمین پاک میں جو مقرر کر دی ہے اللہ نے تمہارے واسطے [۸۹] اور نہ لوٹو اپنی پیٹھ کی طرف پھر جا پڑو گے نقصان میں [۹۰]

قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّ فِيهَا قَوْمًۭا جَبَّارِينَ وَإِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا حَتَّىٰ يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا فَإِن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّا دَٰخِلُونَ

Qaaloo yaa Moosaaa innaa feehaa qwman jabbaareena wa innaa lan nadkhulahaa hattaa yakhrujoo minhaa fa innaa daakhiloon

They said: O Moses! Lo! a giant people (dwell) therein and lo! we go not in till they go forth from thence. When they go forth from thence, then we will enter (not till then).

بولے اے موسٰی وہاں ایک قوم ہے زبردست [۹۱] اور ہم ہر گز وہاں نہ جاویں گے یہاں تک کہ وہ نکل جاویں اس میں سے پھر اگر وہ نکل جاویں گے اس میں سےتو ہم ضرور داخل ہوں گے [۹۲]

قَالَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا ٱدْخُلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْبَابَ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُمُوهُ فَإِنَّكُمْ غَٰلِبُونَ ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَتَوَكَّلُوٓا۟ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

Qaala rajulaani minal lazeena yakhaafoona an'amal laahu 'alaihimad khuloo 'alaihimul baab, fa izaa dakhaltumoohu fa innakum ghaaliboon; wa 'alal laahi fatawakkalooo in kuntum mu'mineen

Then out spake two of those who feared (their Lord, men) unto whom Allah had been gracious: Enter in upon them by the gate, for if ye enter by it, lo! ye will be victorious. So put your trust (in Allah) if ye are indeed believers.

کہا دو مردوں نے اللہ سے ڈرنے والوں میں سے کہ خدا کی نوازش تھی ان دو پر [۹۳] گھس جاؤ ان پرحملہ کر کے دروازہ میں پھر جب تم اس میں گھس جاؤ گے تو تم ہی غالب ہو گے [۹۴] اور اللہ پر بھروسہ کرو اگر یقین رکھتے ہو [۹۵]

قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَآ أَبَدًۭا مَّا دَامُوا۟ فِيهَا ۖ فَٱذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَٰتِلَآ إِنَّا هَٰهُنَا قَٰعِدُونَ

Qaaloo yaa Moosaaa innaa lan nadkhulahaa abadam maa daamoo feehaa fazhab anta wa Rabbuka faqaatilaaa innaa haahunaa qaa'idoon

They said: O Moses! We will never enter (the land) while they are in it. So go thou and thy Lord and fight! We will sit here.

بولے اے موسٰی ہم ہرگز نہ جاویں گے ساری عمر جب تک وہ رہیں گے اس میں سو تو جا اور تیرا رب اور تم دونوں لڑو ہم تو یہیں بیٹھے ہیں [۹۶]

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى لَآ أَمْلِكُ إِلَّا نَفْسِى وَأَخِى ۖ فَٱفْرُقْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ

Qaala Rabbi innee laaa amliku illaa nafsee wa akhee fafruq bainanaa wa bainal qawmil faasiqeen

He said: My Lord! I have control of none but myself and my brother, so distinguish between us and the wrong-doing folk.

بولا اے رب میرے میرے اختیار میں نہیں مگر میری جان اور میرا بھائی [۹۷] سو جدائی کر دے تو ہم میں اور اس نافرمان قوم میں [۹۸]

قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ۛ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةًۭ ۛ يَتِيهُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ

Qaala fa innahaa muhar ramatun 'alaihim arba'eena sanah; yateehoona fil ard; falaa taasa 'alal qawmil faasiqeen

(Their Lord) said: For this the land will surely be forbidden them for forty years that they will wander in the earth, bewildered. So grieve not over the wrongdoing folk.

فرمایا تحقیق وہ زمین حرام کی گئ ہے ان پر چالیس برس سر مارتے پھریں گے ملک میں سو تو افسوس نہ کر نافرمان لوگوں پر

۞ وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ ٱبْنَىْ ءَادَمَ بِٱلْحَقِّ إِذْ قَرَّبَا قُرْبَانًۭا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِنْ أَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمْ يُتَقَبَّلْ مِنَ ٱلْءَاخَرِ قَالَ لَأَقْتُلَنَّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

Watlu 'alaihim naba abnai Aadama bilhaqq; iz qarrabaa qurbaanan fatuqubbila min ahadihimaa wa lam yutaqabbal minal aakhari qaala la aqtulannnaka qaala innamaa yataqabbalul laahu minal muttaqeen

But recite unto them with truth the tale of the two sons of Adam, how they offered each a sacrifice, and it was accepted from the one of them and it was not accepted from the other. (The one) said: I will surely kill thee. (The other) answered: Allah accepteth only from those who ward off (evil).

اور سنا ان کو حال واقعی آدم کے دو بیٹوں کا [۹۹] جب نیاز کی دونوں نے کچھ نیاز اور مقبول ہوئی ایک کی اور نہ مقبول ہوئی دوسرے کی [۱۰۰] کہا میں تجھ کو مار ڈالوں گا [۱۰۱] وہ بولا اللہ قبول کرتا ہے تو پرہیزگاروں سے [۱۰۲]

لَئِنۢ بَسَطتَ إِلَىَّ يَدَكَ لِتَقْتُلَنِى مَآ أَنَا۠ بِبَاسِطٍۢ يَدِىَ إِلَيْكَ لِأَقْتُلَكَ ۖ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

La'im basatta ilaiya yadaka litaqtulanee maaa ana bibaasitiny yadiya ilaika li aqtulaka inneee akhaaful laaha Rabbal 'aalameen

Even if thou stretch out thy hand against me to kill me, I shall not stretch out my hand against thee to kill thee, lo! I fear Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

اگر تو ہاتھ چلادے گا مجھ پر مارنے کو میں نہ ہاتھ چلاؤں گا تجھ پر مارنے کو [۱۰۳] میں ڈرتا ہوں اللہ سے جو پروردگار ہے سب جہان کا [۱۰۴]

إِنِّىٓ أُرِيدُ أَن تَبُوٓأَ بِإِثْمِى وَإِثْمِكَ فَتَكُونَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلنَّارِ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Inee ureedu an tabooo'a bi ismee wa ismika fatakoona min Ashaabin Naar; wa zaalika jazaaa'uz zaalimeen

Lo! I would rather thou shouldst bear the punishment of the sin against me and thine own sin and become one of the owners of the fire. That is the reward of evil-doers.

میں چاہتا ہوں کہ تو حاصل کرے میرا گناہ اور اپنا گناہ [۱۰۵] پھر ہو جاوے تو دوزخ والوں میں اور یہی ہے سزا ظالموں کی [۱۰۶]

فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُۥ نَفْسُهُۥ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُۥ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ

Fatawwa'at lahoo nafsu hoo qatla akheehi faqatalahoo fa asbaha minal khaasireen

But (the other's) mind imposed on him the killing of his brother, so he slew him and became one of the losers.

پھر اس کو راضی کیا اسکے نفس نے خون پر اپنے بھائی کے [۱۰۷] پھر اسکو مار ڈالا سو ہو گیا نقصان اٹھانے والوں میں [۱۰۸]

فَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ غُرَابًۭا يَبْحَثُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لِيُرِيَهُۥ كَيْفَ يُوَٰرِى سَوْءَةَ أَخِيهِ ۚ قَالَ يَٰوَيْلَتَىٰٓ أَعَجَزْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِثْلَ هَٰذَا ٱلْغُرَابِ فَأُوَٰرِىَ سَوْءَةَ أَخِى ۖ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ ٱلنَّٰدِمِينَ

Faba'asal laahu ghuraabai yabhasu fil ardi liyuriyahoo kaifa yuwaaree sawata akheeh; qaala yaa wailataaa a'ajaztu an akoona misla haazal ghuraabi fa uwaariya saw ata akhee fa asbaha minan naadimeen

Then Allah sent a raven scratching up the ground, to show him how to hide his brother's naked corpse. He said: Woe unto me! Am I not able to be as this raven and so hide my brother's naked corpse? And he became repentant.

پھر بھیجا اللہ نے ایک کوا جو کریدتا تھا زمین کو تاکہ اس کو دکھلا دے کس طرح چھپاتا ہے لاش اپنے بھائی کی بولا اے افسوس مجھ سے اتنا نہ ہو سکا کہ ہوں برابر اس کوے کی کہ میں چھپاؤں لاش اپنے بھائی کی [۱۰۹] پھر لگا پچتانے [۱۱۰]

مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَٰلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ أَنَّهُۥ مَن قَتَلَ نَفْسًۢا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍۢ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعًۭا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَآ أَحْيَا ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعًۭا ۚ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُم بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لَمُسْرِفُونَ

min ajli zaalika katabnaa 'alaa Banee Israaa'eela annahoo man qatala nnafsam bighairi nafsin aw fasaadin fil ardi faka annnamaa qatalan fil ardi faka annammaa qatalan naasa jamee'anw wa man ahyaahaa faka annamaaa ahyan naasa jamee'aa; wa laqad jaaa'at hum Rusulunaa bilbaiyinaati summa inna kaseeram minhum ba'da zaalika fil ardi lamusrifoon

For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but afterwards lo! many of them became prodigals in the earth.

اسی سبب سے لکھا ہم نے [۱۱۱] بنی اسرائیل پر کہ جو کوئی قتل کرے ایک جان کو بلاعوض جان کے یا بغیر فساد کرنے کے ملک میں [۱۱۲] تو گویا قتل کر ڈالا اس نے سب لوگوں کو اور جس نے زندہ رکھا ایک جان کو تو گویا زندہ کر دیا سب لوگوں کو [۱۱۳] اور لا چکے ہیں انکے پاس رسول ہمارے کھلے ہوئے حکم [۱۱۴] پھر بہت لوگ ان میں سے اس پر بھی ملک میں دست درازی کرتے ہیں [۱۱۵]

إِنَّمَا جَزَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحَارِبُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا أَن يُقَتَّلُوٓا۟ أَوْ يُصَلَّبُوٓا۟ أَوْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم مِّنْ خِلَٰفٍ أَوْ يُنفَوْا۟ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لَهُمْ خِزْىٌۭ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

Innamaa jazaaa'ul lazeena yuhaariboonal laaha wa Rasoolahoo wa yas'awna fil ardi fasaadan ai yuqattalooo aw yusallabooo aw tuqatta'a aideehim wa arjuluhum min khilaafin aw yunfaw minalard; zaalika lahum khizyun fid dunyaa wa lahum fil Aakhirati 'azaabun 'azeem

The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger and strive after corruption in the land will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land. Such will be their degradation in the world, and in the Hereafter theirs will be an awful doom;

یہی سزا ہے ان کی جو لڑائی کرتے ہیں اللہ سے اور اسکے رسول سے اور دوڑتے ہیں ملک میں فساد کرنے کو [۱۱۶] ان کو قتل کیا جائےیا سولی چڑھائے جاویں یا کاٹے جاویں ان کے ہاتھ اور پاؤں مخالف جانب سے [۱۱۷] یا دور کر دیے جاویں اس جگہ سے [۱۱۸] یہ ان کی رسوائی ہے دنیا میں اور ان کے لئے آخرت میں بڑا عذاب ہے [۱۱۹]

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَقْدِرُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Illal lazeena taaboo min qabli an taqdiroo 'alaihim fa'lamooo annnal laaha Ghafoorur Raheem

Save those who repent before ye overpower them. For know that Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

مگر جنہوں نے توبہ کی تمہارے قابو پانے سے پہلے تو جان لو کہ اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے [۱۲۰]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱبْتَغُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ ٱلْوَسِيلَةَ وَجَٰهِدُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanut taqul laaha wabtaghooo ilaihil waseelata wa jaahidoo fee sabeelihee la'allakum tuflihoon

O ye who believe! Be mindful of your duty to Allah, and seek the way of approach unto Him, and strive in His way in order that ye may succeed.

اے ایمان والو ڈرتے رہو اللہ سے اور ڈھونڈو اس تک وسیلہ [۱۲۱] اور جہاد کرو اس کی راہ میں تاکہ تمہارا بھلا ہو [۱۲۲]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا وَمِثْلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لِيَفْتَدُوا۟ بِهِۦ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ مَا تُقُبِّلَ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ

Innal lazeena kafaroo law anna lahum maa fil ardi jamee'anw wa mislahoo ma'ahoo liyaftadoo bihee min 'azaabi Yawmil Qiyaamati maa tuqubbila minhum wa lahum azaabun aleem

As for those who disbelieve, lo! if all that is in the earth were theirs, and as much again therewith, to ransom them from the doom on the Day of Resurrection, it would not be accepted from them. Theirs will be a painful doom.

جو لوگ کافر ہیں اگر ان کے پاس ہو جو کچھ زمین میں ہے سارا اور اس کے ساتھ اتنا ہی اور ہو تاکہ بدلہ میں دیں اپنے قیامت کے عذاب سے تو ان سےقبول نہ ہو گا اور ان کے واسطے عذاب دردناک ہے [۱۲۳]

يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَمَا هُم بِخَٰرِجِينَ مِنْهَا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ مُّقِيمٌۭ

Yureedoona ai yakhrujoo minan Naari wa maa hum bikhaari jeena minhaa wa lahum 'azaabum muqeem

They will wish to come forth from the Fire, but they will not come forth from it. Theirs will be a lasting doom.

چاہیں گے کہ نکل جاویں آگ سے اور وہ اس سے نکلنے والے نہیں اور ان کے لئے عذاب دائمی ہے [۱۲۴]

وَٱلسَّارِقُ وَٱلسَّارِقَةُ فَٱقْطَعُوٓا۟ أَيْدِيَهُمَا جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَسَبَا نَكَٰلًۭا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌۭ

Wassaariqu qassaariqatu faqta'oo aidiyahumma jazaaa'am bimaa kasabaa nakaalam minal laah; wallaahu 'Azeezun hakeem

As for the thief, both male and female, cut off their hands. It is the reward of their own deeds, an exemplary punishment from Allah. Allah is Mighty, Wise.

اور چوری کرنے والا مرد اور چوری کرنے والی عورت کاٹ ڈالو انکے ہاتھ [۱۲۵] سزا میں ان کی کمائی کی تنبیہ ہے اللہ کی طرف سے [۱۲۶] اور اللہ غالب ہے حکمت والا [۱۲۷]

فَمَن تَابَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ظُلْمِهِۦ وَأَصْلَحَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌ

Faman taaba mim ba'di zulmihee wa aslaha fa innal laaha yatoobu 'alaih; innal laaha Ghafoorur Raheem

But whoso repenteth after his wrongdoing and amendeth, lo! Allah will relent toward him. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

پھر جس نے توبہ کہ اپنے ظلم کے پیچھے اور اصلاح کی تو اللہ قبول کرتا ہے اس کی توبہ بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے [۱۲۸]

أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ يُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ

Alam ta'lam annal laaha lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi yu'az zibu many-yashaa'u wa yaghfiru limany-yashaaa'; wallaahu 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer

Knowest thou not that unto Allah belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth? He punisheth whom He will, and forgiveth whom He will. Allah is Able to do all things.

تجھ کو معلوم نہیں کہ اللہ ہی کے واسطے ہے سلطنت آسمان اور زمین کی عذاب کرے جس کو چاہے اور بخشے جس کو چاہے اور اللہ سب چیز پر قادر ہے [۱۲۹]

۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْكُفْرِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ ۛ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ ۛ سَمَّٰعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّٰعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ ءَاخَرِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَ ۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِۦ ۖ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَٰذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَٱحْذَرُوا۟ ۚ وَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ فِتْنَتَهُۥ فَلَن تَمْلِكَ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌۭ ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

Yaaa ayyuhar Rasoolu laa yahzukal lazeena yusaa ri'oona fil kufri minal lazeena qaaloo aamannaa bi afwaahihim wa lam tu'min quloobuhum; wa minal lazeena haadoo sammaa'oona lilkazibi sammaa'oona liqawmin aakhareena lam yaatooka yuharifoonal kalima mim ba'di mawaadi'ihee yaqooloona in ooteetum haazaa fakhuzoohu wa il lam tu'tawhu fahzaroo; wa many-yuridil laahu fitnatahoo falan tamlika lahoo minal laahi shai'aa; ulaaa 'ikal lazeena lam yuridil laahu any-yutahhira quloobahum; lahum fid dunyaa khizyunw wa lahum fil Aakhirati'azaabun 'azeem

O Messenger! Let not them grieve thee who vie one with another in the race to disbelief, of such as say with their mouths: "We believe," but their hearts believe not, and of the Jews: listeners for the sake of falsehood, listeners on behalf of other folk who come not unto thee, changing words from their context and saying: If this be given unto you, receive it, but if this be not given unto you, then beware! He whom Allah doometh unto sin, thou (by thine efforts) wilt avail him naught against Allah. Those are they for whom the Will of Allah is that He cleanse not their hearts. Theirs in the world will be ignominy, and in the Hereafter an awful doom;

اے رسول غم نہ کر ان کو جو دوڑ کر گرتے ہیں کفر میں[۱۳۰] وہ لوگ جو کہتے ہیں ہم مسلمان ہیں اپنے منہ سے اور ان کے دل مسلمان نہیں اور وہ جو یہودی ہیں [۱۳۱] جاسوسی کرتے ہیں جھوٹ بولنے کے لئے وہ جاسوس ہیں دوسری جماعت کے جو تجھ تک نہیں آئے [۱۳۲] بدل ڈالتے ہیں بات کو اس کا ٹھکانہ چھوڑ کر [۱۳۳] کہتے ہیں اگر تم کو یہ حکم ملے تو قبول کر لینا اور یہ حکم نہ ملے تو بچتے رہنا [۱۳۴] اور جس اللہ نے گمراہ کرنا چاہا سو تو اس کے لئے کچھ نہیں کر سکتا اللہ کے ہاں [۱۳۵] یہ وہی لوگ ہیں جن کو اللہ نےنہ چاہا کہ دل پاک کرےان کے [۱۳۶] ان کو دنیا میں ذلت ہے اور ان کو آخرت میں بڑا عذاب ہے

سَمَّٰعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ أَكَّٰلُونَ لِلسُّحْتِ ۚ فَإِن جَآءُوكَ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُمْ أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ ۖ وَإِن تُعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ فَلَن يَضُرُّوكَ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَإِنْ حَكَمْتَ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ

Sammaa'oona lilkazibi akkaaloona lissuht; fa in jaaa'ooka fahkum bainahum aw a'rid anhum wa in tu'rid 'anhum falany-yadurrooka shai'anw wa in hakamta fahkum bainahum bilqist; innal laaha yuhibbul muqsiteen

Listeners for the sake of falsehood! Greedy for illicit gain! If then they have recourse unto thee (Muhammad) judge between them or disclaim jurisdiction. If thou disclaimest jurisdiction, then they cannot harm thee at all. But if thou judgest, judge between them with equity. Lo! Allah loveth the equitable.

جاسوسی کرنے والے جھوٹ بولنے کے لئے اور بڑے حرام کھانے والے سو اگر آویں وہ تیرے پاس تو فیصلہ کر دے ان میں یا منہ پھیر لے ان سے [۱۳۷] اور اگر تو منہ پھیر لے گا ان سے تو وہ تیرا کچھ نہ بگاڑ سکیں گے اور اگر تو فیصلہ کرے تو فیصلہ کر ان میں انصاف سے بیشک اللہ دوست رکھتا ہے انصاف کرنے والوں کو [۱۳۸]

وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِندَهُمُ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ فِيهَا حُكْمُ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Wa kaifa yuhakkimoonaka wa 'indahumut Tawraatu feehaa hukmul laahi summa yatawallawna mim ba'di zaalik; wa maaa ulaaa'ika bilmu'mineen

How come they unto thee for judgment when they have the Torah, wherein Allah hath delivered judgment (for them)? Yet even after that they turn away. Such (folk) are not believers.

اور وہ تجھ کو کس طرح منصف بنائیں گے اور ان کے پاس تو توریت ہے جس میں حکم ہے اللہ کا پھر اس کے پیچھے پھرے جاتے ہیں اور وہ ہر گز ماننے والے نہیں ہیں [۱۳۹]

إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَا ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ فِيهَا هُدًۭى وَنُورٌۭ ۚ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّونَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلرَّبَّٰنِيُّونَ وَٱلْأَحْبَارُ بِمَا ٱسْتُحْفِظُوا۟ مِن كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَانُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ شُهَدَآءَ ۚ فَلَا تَخْشَوُا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ وَٱخْشَوْنِ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِى ثَمَنًۭا قَلِيلًۭا ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

Innaaa anzalnat Tawraata feehaa hudanw wa noor; yahkumu bihan Nabiyyoonal lazeena aslamoo lillazeena haadoo war rabbaaniyyoona wal ahbaaru bimas tuhfizoo min Kitaabil laahi wa kaanoo 'alaihi shuhadaaa'; falaa takhshawun naasa wakhshawni wa laa tashtaroo bi aayaatee samanan qaleelaa; wa mal lam yahkum bimaaa anzalal laahu fa ulaaa'ika humul kaafiroon

Lo! We did reveal the Torah, wherein is guidance and a light, by which the prophets who surrendered (unto Allah) judged the Jews, and the rabbis and the priests (judged) by such of Allah's Scripture as they were bidden to observe, and thereunto were they witnesses. So fear not mankind, but fear Me. And My revelations for a little gain. Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed: such are disbelievers.

ہم نےنازل کی توریت کہ اس میں ہدایت اور روشنی ہے [۱۴۰] اس پر حکم کرتے تھے پیغمبر جو کہ حکم بردار تھے اللہ کے یہود کو اور حکم کرتے تھے درویش اور عالم [۱۴۱] اس واسطے کہ وہ نگہبان ٹھہرائے گئے تھے اللہ کی کتاب پر اور اس کی خبر گیری پر مقرر تھے [۱۴۲] سو تم نہ ڈرو لوگوں سے اور مجھ سے ڈرو اور مت خریدو میری آیتوں پر مول تھوڑا [۱۴۳] اور جو کوئی حکم نہ کرے اس کے موافق جو کہ اللہ نے اتارا سو وہی لوگ ہیں کافر [۱۴۴]

وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَآ أَنَّ ٱلنَّفْسَ بِٱلنَّفْسِ وَٱلْعَيْنَ بِٱلْعَيْنِ وَٱلْأَنفَ بِٱلْأَنفِ وَٱلْأُذُنَ بِٱلْأُذُنِ وَٱلسِّنَّ بِٱلسِّنِّ وَٱلْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌۭ ۚ فَمَن تَصَدَّقَ بِهِۦ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌۭ لَّهُۥ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ

Wa katabnaa 'alaihim feehaaa annan nafsa binnafsi wal'aina bil'aini wal anfa bilanfi wal uzuna bil uzuni wassinna bissinni waljurooha qisaas; faman tasaddaqa bihee fahuwa kaffaaratul lah; wa mal lam yahkum bimaaa anzalal laahu fa ulaaa'ika humuz zalimoon

And We prescribed for them therein: The life for the life, and the eye for the eye, and the nose for the nose, and the ear for the ear, and the tooth for the tooth, and for wounds retaliation. But whoso forgoeth it (in the way of charity) it shall be expiation for him. Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed: such are wrong-doers.

اور لکھ دیا ہم نے ان پر اس کتاب میں کہ جی کے بدلے جی اور آنکھ کے بدلے آنکھ اور ناک کے بدلے ناک اور کان کے بدلے کان اور دانت کے بدلے دانت اور زخموں کا بدلا انکے برابر [۱۴۵] پھر جس نے معاف کر دیا تو وہ گناہ سے پاک ہو گیا [۱۴۶] اور جو کوئی حکم نہ کرے اس کے موافق جو کہ اللہ نے اتارا سو وہی لوگ ہیں ظالم [۱۴۷]

وَقَفَّيْنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم بِعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ ٱلْإِنجِيلَ فِيهِ هُدًۭى وَنُورٌۭ وَمُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ وَهُدًۭى وَمَوْعِظَةًۭ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

Wa qaffainaa 'alaaa aasaaarihim bi 'Eesab ni Maryama musaddiqal limaa baina yadihi minat Tawraati wa aatainaahul Injeela feehi hudanw wa noorunw wa musaddiqal limaa baina yadaihi minat Tawraati wa hudanw wa maw'izatal lilmuttaqeen

And We caused Jesus, son of Mary, to follow in their footsteps, confirming that which was (revealed) before him in the Torah, and We bestowed on him the Gospel wherein is guidance and a light, confirming that which was (revealed) before it in the Torah - a guidance and an admonition unto those who ward off (evil).

اور پیچھے بھیجا ہم نے انہی کےقدموں پر عیسٰی مریم کے بیٹے کو [۱۴۸] تصدیق کرنے والا توریت کی جو آگے سے تھے اور اس کو دی ہم نے انجیل جس میں ہدایت اور روشنی تھی اور تصدیق کرتی تھی اپنے سے اگلی کتاب توریت کی اور راہ بتلانے والی اور نصیحت تھی ڈرنے والوں کو [۱۴۹]

وَلْيَحْكُمْ أَهْلُ ٱلْإِنجِيلِ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ

Walyahkum Ahlul Injeeli bimaaa anzalal laahu feeh; wa mal lam yahkum bimaaa anzalal laahu fa ulaaa'ika humul faasiqoon

Let the People of the Gospel judge by that which Allah hath revealed therein. Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed: such are evil-livers.

اور چاہئے کہ حکم کریں انجیل والے موافق اس کے جو کہ اتارا اللہ نے اس میں اور جو کوئی حکم نہ کرے موافق اس کے جو کہ اتارا اللہ نےسو وہی لوگ ہیں نافرمان [۱۵۰]

وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِٱلْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ ۖ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ ۚ لِكُلٍّۢ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةًۭ وَمِنْهَاجًۭا ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ وَلَٰكِن لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِى مَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۖ فَٱسْتَبِقُوا۟ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ ۚ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًۭا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ

Wa anzalnaa ilaikal Kitaaba bilhaqqi musaddiqallimaa baina yadaihi minal Kitaabi wa muhaiminan 'alaihi fahkum bainahum bimaa anzalal laahu wa laa tattabi ahwaaa'ahum 'ammaa jaaa'aka minal haqq; likullin ja'alnaa minkum shir'atanw wa minhaajaa; wa law shaaa'al laahu laja'alakum ummatanw waahidatanw wa laakil liyabluwakum fee maa aataakum fastabiqul khairaat; ilal laahi arji'ukum jamee'an fayunab bi'ukum bimaa kuntum feehi takhtalifoon

And unto thee have We revealed the Scripture with the truth, confirming whatever Scripture was before it, and a watcher over it. So judge between them by that which Allah hath revealed, and follow not their desires away from the truth which hath come unto thee. For each We have appointed a divine law and a traced-out way. Had Allah willed He could have made you one community. But that He may try you by that which He hath given you (He hath made you as ye are). So vie one with another in good works. Unto Allah ye will all return, and He will then inform you of that wherein ye differ.

اور تجھ پر اتاری ہم نے کتاب سچی تصدیق کرنے والی سابقہ کتابوں کی اور ان کے مضامیں پر نگہبان [۱۵۱] سو تو حکم کر ان میں موافق اسکے جو کہ اتارا اللہ نے [۱۵۲] اور انکی خوشی پر مت چل چھوڑ کر سیدھا راستہ جو تیرے پاس آیا [۱۵۳] ہر ایک کو تم میں سے دیا ہم نے ایک دستور اور راہ [۱۵۴] اور اللہ چاہتا تو تم کو ایک دین پر کر دیتا لیکن تم کو آزمانا چاہتا ہے اپنے دیے ہوئے حکموں میں [۱۵۵] سو تم دوڑ کر لو خوبیاں [۱۵۶] اللہ کے پاس تم سب کو پہنچنا ہے پھر جتا دے گا جس بات میں تم کو اختلاف تھا [۱۵۷]

وَأَنِ ٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ وَٱحْذَرْهُمْ أَن يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنۢ بَعْضِ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَٱعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُصِيبَهُم بِبَعْضِ ذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَفَٰسِقُونَ

Wa anih kum bainahum bimaaa anzalal laahu wa laa tattabi' ahwaaa'ahum wahzarhum ai yaftinooka 'am ba'di maaa anzalal laahu ilaika fa in tawallaw fa'lam annamaa yureedul laahu ai yuseebahum biba'di zunoobihim; wa inna kaseeram minan naasi lafaasiqoon

So judge between them by that which Allah hath revealed, and follow not their desires, but beware of them lest they seduce thee from some part of that which Allah hath revealed unto thee. And if they turn away, then know that Allah's Will is to smite them for some sin of theirs. Lo! many of mankind are evil-livers.

اور یہ فرمایا کہ حکم کر ان میں موافق اس کے جو کہ اتارا اللہ نے اور مت چل ان کی خوشی پر اور بچتا رہ ان سے کہ تجھ کو بہکا نہ دیں کسی اسےحکم سے جو اللہ نے اتارا تجھ پر [۱۵۸] پھر اگر نہ مانیں تو جان لے کہ اللہ نے یہی چاہا ہے کہ پہنچا دے انکو کچھ سزا ان کے گناہوں کی [۱۵۹] اور لوگوں میں بہت ہیں نافرمان [۱۶۰]

أَفَحُكْمَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ ۚ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ حُكْمًۭا لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُوقِنُونَ

Afahukmal jaahiliyyati yabghoon; wa man ahsanu minal laahi hukmal liqawminy yooqinoon

Is it a judgment of the time of (pagan) ignorance that they are seeking? Who is better than Allah for judgment to a people who have certainty (in their belief)?

اب کیا حکم چاہتے ہیں کفر کے وقت کا اور اللہ سے بہتر کون ہے حکم کرنے والا یقین کرنے والوں کے واسطے [۱۶۱]

۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا۟ ٱلْيَهُودَ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۘ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍۢ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمْ فَإِنَّهُۥ مِنْهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tattakhizul Yahooda wan nasaaraaa awliyaaa'; ba'duhum awliyaaa'u ba'd; wa mai yatawallahum minkum fa innahoo minhum; innal laaha laa yahdil qawmaz zaalimeen

O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.

اے ایمان والو مت بناؤ یہود اور نصاریٰ کو دوست [۱۶۲] وہ آپس میں دوست ہیں ایک دوسرے کے [۱۶۳] اور جو کوئی تم میں سے دوستی کرے ان سے تو وہ انہی میں ہے [۱۶۴] اللہ ہدایت نہیں کرتا ظالم لوگوں کو [۱۶۵]

فَتَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌۭ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِيهِمْ يَقُولُونَ نَخْشَىٰٓ أَن تُصِيبَنَا دَآئِرَةٌۭ ۚ فَعَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَأْتِىَ بِٱلْفَتْحِ أَوْ أَمْرٍۢ مِّنْ عِندِهِۦ فَيُصْبِحُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَسَرُّوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ نَٰدِمِينَ

Fataral lazeena fee quloobihim maraduny yusaari'oona feehim yaqooloona nakhshaaa an tuseebanaa daaa'irah; fa'asallaahu ai yaatiya bilfathi aw amrim min 'indihee fa yusbihoo 'alaa maaa asarroo feee anfusihim naadimeen

And thou seest those in whose heart is a disease race toward them, saying: We fear lest a change of fortune befall us. And it may happen that Allah will vouchsafe (unto thee) the victory, or a commandment from His presence. Then will they repent them of their secret thoughts.

اب تو دیکھے گا ان کو جن کے دل میں بیماری ہے دوڑ کر ملتے ہیں ان میں کہتے ہیں کہ ہم کو ڈر ہے کہ نہ آجائے ہم پر گردش زمانہ کی [۱۶۶] سو قریب ہے کہ اللہ جلد ظاہر فرماوے فتح یا کوئی حکم اپنے پاس سے تو لگیں اپنے جی کی چھپی بات پر پچتانے [۱۶۷]

وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَقْسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ ۙ إِنَّهُمْ لَمَعَكُمْ ۚ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ خَٰسِرِينَ

Wa yaqoolul lazeena aamanooo ahaaa'ulaaa'il lazeena aqsamoo billaahi jahda aimaanihim innahum lama'akum; habitat a'maaluhum fa asbahoo khaasireen

Then will the believers say (unto the people of the Scripture): are these they who swore by Allah their most binding oaths that they were surely with you? Their works have failed, and they have become the losers.

اور کہتے ہیں مسلمان کیا یہ وہی لوگ ہیں جو قسمیں کھاتے تھے اللہ کی تاکید سے کہ ہم تمہارے ساتھ ہیں برباد گئے ان کےعمل پھر رہ گئے نقصان میں

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَن يَرْتَدَّ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِۦ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِى ٱللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍۢ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ يُجَٰهِدُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَآئِمٍۢ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ

Yaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo mai yartadda minkum 'an deenihee fasawfa yaatil laahu biqawminy yuhibbuhum wa yuhibboonahoo azillatin 'alal mu'mineena a'izzatin 'alal kaafireena yujaahidoona fee sabeelil laahi wa laa yakhaafoona lawmata laaa'im; zaalika fadlul laahi yu'teehi mai yashaaa'; wallaahu Waasi'un 'Aleem

O ye who believe! Whoso of you becometh a renegade from his religion, (know that in his stead) Allah will bring a people whom He loveth and who love Him, humble toward believers, stern toward disbelievers, striving in the way of Allah, and fearing not the blame of any blamer. Such is the grace of Allah which He giveth unto whom He will. Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing.

اے ایمان والو جو کوئی تم میں پھرے گا اپنے دین سے تو اللہ عنقریب لاوے گا ایسی قوم کو کہ اللہ انکو چاہتا ہے اور وہ اس کو چاہتے ہیں نرم دل ہیں مسلمانوں پر زبردست ہیں کافروں پر لڑتے ہیں اللہ کی راہ میں اور ڈرتے نہیں کسی کے الزام سے [۱۶۸] یہ فضل ہے اللہ کا دے گا جس کو چاہے اور اللہ کشائش والا ہے خبردار [۱۶۹]

إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُمْ رَٰكِعُونَ

Innamaa waliyyukumul laahu wa Rasooluhoo wal lazeena aamanul lazeena yuqeemoonas Salaata wa yu'toonaz Zakaata wa hum raaki'oon

Your guardian can be only Allah; and His messenger and those who believe, who establish worship and pay the poordue, and bow down (in prayer).

تمہارا رفیق تو وہی اللہ ہے اور اس کا رسول اور جو ایمان والے ہیں جو کہ قائم ہیں نماز پر اور دیتے ہیں زکوٰۃ اور وہ عاجزی کرنے والے ہیں [۱۷۰]

وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ فَإِنَّ حِزْبَ ٱللَّهِ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ

Wa mai yatawallal laaha wa Rasoolahoo wallazeena aamanoo fa inna hizbal laahi humul ghaaliboon

And whoso taketh Allah and His messenger and those who believe for guardian (will know that), lo! the party of Allah, they are the victorious.

اور جو کوئی دوست رکھے اللہ کو اور اس کے رسول کو اور ایمان والوں کو تو اللہ کی جماعت وہی سب پر غالب ہے [۱۷۱]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ دِينَكُمْ هُزُوًۭا وَلَعِبًۭا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَٱلْكُفَّارَ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tattakhizul lazeenat takhazoo deenakum huzuwanw wa la'ibam minal lazeena ootul Kitaaba min qablikum walkuffaara awliyaaa'; wattaqul laaha in kuntum muu'mineen

O Ye who believe! Choose not for guardians such of those who received the Scripture before you, and of the disbelievers, as make a jest and sport of your religion. But keep your duty to Allah if ye are true believers.

اے ایمان والو مت بناؤ ان لوگوں کو جو ٹھہراتے ہیں تمہارے دین کو ہنسی اور کھیل وہ لوگ جو کتاب دیے گئے تم سے پہلے اور نہ کافروں کو [۱۷۲] اپنا دوست اور ڈرو اللہ سے اگر ہو تم ایمان والے [۱۷۳]

وَإِذَا نَادَيْتُمْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ٱتَّخَذُوهَا هُزُوًۭا وَلَعِبًۭا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌۭ لَّا يَعْقِلُونَ

Wa izaa naadaitum ilas Salaatit takhazoohaa huzu wan'w wa la'ibaa; zaalika biannnahum qawmul laa ya'qiloon

And when ye call to prayer they take it for a jest and sport. That is because they are a folk who understand not.

اور جب تم پکارتے ہو نماز کے لئے تو وہ ٹھہراتے ہیں اس کو ہنسی اور کھیل یہ اس واسطے کہ وہ لوگ بے عقل ہیں [۱۷۴]

قُلْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ هَلْ تَنقِمُونَ مِنَّآ إِلَّآ أَنْ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ

Qul yaaa Ahlal Kitaabi hal tanqimoona minnaaa illaaa an aamannaa billaahi wa maaa unzila ilainaa wa maa unzila min qablu wa annna aksarakum faasiqoon

Say: O People of the Scripture! Do ye blame us for aught else than that we believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed aforetime, and because most of you are evil-livers?

تو کہہ اے کتاب والو کیا ضد ہے تم کو ہم سے مگر یہی کہ ہم ایمان لائے اللہ پر اور جو نازل ہوا ہم پر اور جو نازل ہو چکا پہلے اور یہی کہ تم میں اکثر نافرمان ہیں [۱۷۵]

قُلْ هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّۢ مِّن ذَٰلِكَ مَثُوبَةً عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ مَن لَّعَنَهُ ٱللَّهُ وَغَضِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْقِرَدَةَ وَٱلْخَنَازِيرَ وَعَبَدَ ٱلطَّٰغُوتَ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ شَرٌّۭ مَّكَانًۭا وَأَضَلُّ عَن سَوَآءِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ

Qul hal unabbi'ukum bisharrim min zaalika masoobatan 'indal laah; malla'ana hul laahu wa ghadiba 'alaihi wa ja'ala minhumul qiradata wal khanaazeera wa 'abadat Taaghoot; ulaaa'ika sharrum makaananw wa adallu 'an Sawaaa'is Sabeel

Shall I tell thee of a worse (case) than theirs for retribution with Allah? (Worse is the case of him) whom Allah hath cursed, him on whom His wrath hath fallen and of whose sort Allah hath turned some to apes and swine, and who serveth idols. Such are in worse plight and further astray from the plain road.

تو کہہ میں تم کو بتلاؤں ان میں کس کی بری جزا ہے اللہ کے ہاں وہی جس پر اللہ نے لعنت کی اور اس پر غضب نازل کیا اور ان میں سے بعضوں کو بندر کر دیا اور بعضوں کو سور اور جنہوں نے بندگی کی شیطان کی وہی لوگ بدتر ہیں درجہ میں اور بہت بہکے ہوئے ہیں سیدھی راہ سے [۱۷۶]

وَإِذَا جَآءُوكُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَقَد دَّخَلُوا۟ بِٱلْكُفْرِ وَهُمْ قَدْ خَرَجُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْتُمُونَ

Wa izaa jaaa'ookum qaalooo aamannaa wa qad dakhaloo bilkufri wa hum qad kharajoo bih; wallaahu a'lamu bimaa kaanoo yaktumoon

When they come unto you (Muslims), they say: We believe; but they came in unbelief and they went out in the same; and Allah knoweth best what they were hiding.

اور جب تمہارے پاس آتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں ہم ایمان لائے اور حالت یہ ہے کہ کافر ہی آئے تھے اور کافر ہی چلے گئے اور اللہ خوب جانتا ہے جو کچھ چھپائے ہوئے تھے [۱۷۷]

وَتَرَىٰ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُمْ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ وَأَكْلِهِمُ ٱلسُّحْتَ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Wa taraa kaseeram minhum yusaari'oona fil ismi wal'udwaani wa aklihimus suht; labi'sa maa kaanoo ya'maloon

And thou seest many of them vying one with another in sin and transgression and their devouring of illicit gain. Verily evil is what they do.

اور تو دیکھے گا بہتوں کو ان میں سے کہ دوڑتے ہیں گناہ پر اور ظلم اور حرام کھانے پر بہت برے کام ہیں جو کر رہے ہیں [۱۷۸]

لَوْلَا يَنْهَىٰهُمُ ٱلرَّبَّٰنِيُّونَ وَٱلْأَحْبَارُ عَن قَوْلِهِمُ ٱلْإِثْمَ وَأَكْلِهِمُ ٱلسُّحْتَ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ

Law laa yanhaahumur rabbaaniyyoona wal ahbaaru 'an qawlihimul ismaa wa aklihimus suht; labi'sa maa kaanoo yasna'oon

Why do not the rabbis and the priests forbid their evil-speaking and their devouring of illicit gain? Verily evil is their handiwork.

کیوں نہیں منع کرتے انکے درویش اور علماء گناہ کی بات کہنے سے اور حرام کھانے سے بہت ہی برے عمل ہیں جو کر رہے ہیں [۱۷۹]

وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ يَدُ ٱللَّهِ مَغْلُولَةٌ ۚ غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَلُعِنُوا۟ بِمَا قَالُوا۟ ۘ بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ يُنفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَآءُ ۚ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَٰنًۭا وَكُفْرًۭا ۚ وَأَلْقَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ ٱلْعَدَٰوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۚ كُلَّمَآ أَوْقَدُوا۟ نَارًۭا لِّلْحَرْبِ أَطْفَأَهَا ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَسَادًۭا ۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

Wa qaalatil Yahoodu Yadullaahi maghloolah; ghulla aideehim wa lu'inoo bimaa qaaloo; bal yadaahu mabsoo tataani yunfiqu kaifa yashaaa'; wa la yazeedanna kaseeramm minhum maaa unzila ilaika mir Rabbika tughyaananw wa kufraa; wa alqainaa bainahumul 'adaawata wal baghdaaa a' ilaa Yawmil Qiyaamah; kullamaaa awqadoo naaral lilharbi at fa-ahal laah; wa yas'awna fil ardi fasaadaa; wal laahu laa yuhibbul mufsideen

The Jews say: Allah's hand is fettered. Their hands are fettered and they are accursed for saying so. Nay, but both His hands are spread out wide in bounty. He bestoweth as He will. That which hath been revealed unto thee from thy Lord is certain to increase the contumacy and disbelief of many of them, and We have cast among them enmity and hatred till the Day of Resurrection. As often as they light a fire for war, Allah extinguisheth it. Their effort is for corruption in the land, and Allah loveth not corrupters.

اور یہود کہتے ہیں اللہ کا ہاتھ بند ہو گیا [۱۸۰] انہی کے ہاتھ بند ہو جاویں [۱۸۱] اور لعنت ہےانکو اس کہنے پر بلکہ اس کے تو دونوں ہاتھ کھلے ہوئے ہیں [۱۸۲] خرچ کرتا ہے جس طرح چاہے [۱۸۳] اور ان میں بہتوں کو بڑھے گی اس کلام سے جو تجھ پر اترا تیرے رب کی طرف سے شرارت اور انکار [۱۸۴] اور ہم نے ڈال رکھی ہے ان میں دشمنی اور بیر قیامت کے دن تک [۱۸۵] جب کبھی آگ سلگاتے ہیں لڑائی کے لئے اللہ اس کو بجھا دیتا ہے اور دوڑتے ہیں ملک میں فساد کرتے ہوئے اور اللہ پسند نہیں کرتا فساد کرنے والوں کو [۱۸۶]

وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ لَكَفَّرْنَا عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَأَدْخَلْنَٰهُمْ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

Wa law anna Ahlal Kitaabi aamanoo wattaqaw lakaffarnaa 'anhum saiyiaatihim wa la adkhalnaahu Jannaatin Na'eem

If only the People of the Scripture would believe and ward off (evil), surely We should remit their sins from them and surely We should bring them into Gardens of Delight.

اور اگر اہل کتاب ایمان لاتے اور ڈرتے تو ہم دور کر دیتے ان سے ان کی برائیاں اور ان کو داخل کرتے نعمت کے باغوں میں [۱۸۷]

وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ أَقَامُوا۟ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِم مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ لَأَكَلُوا۟ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِم ۚ مِّنْهُمْ أُمَّةٌۭ مُّقْتَصِدَةٌۭ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ سَآءَ مَا يَعْمَلُونَ

Wa law annahum aqaamut Tawraata wal Injeela wa maaa unzila ilaihim mir Rabbihim la akaloo min fawqihim wa min tahti arjulihim; minhum ummatum muqta sidatunw wa kaseerum minhum saaa'a maa ya'maloon

If they had observed the Torah and the Gospel and that which was revealed unto them from their Lord, they would surely have been nourished from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them there are people who are moderate, but many of them are of evil conduct.

اور اگر وہ قائم رکھتے توریت اور انجیل کو اور اس کو جو کہ نازل ہوا ان پر انکے رب کی طرف سے [۱۸۸] تو کھاتے اپنے اوپر سے اور اپنے پاؤں کے نیچے سے [۱۸۹] کچھ لوگ ان میں ہیں سیدھی راہ پر [۱۹۰] اور بہت سے ان میں برے کام کر رہے ہیں

۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ۖ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُۥ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

Yaaa aiyuhar Rasoolu balligh maaa unzila ilaika mir Rabbika wa il lam taf'al famaaa ballaghta Risaalatah; wallaahu ya'simuka minan naas; innal laaha laa yahdil qawmal kaafireen

O Messenger! Make known that which hath been revealed unto thee from thy Lord, for if thou do it not, thou wilt not have conveyed His message. Allah will protect thee from mankind. Lo! Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk.

اے رسول پہنچا دے جو تجھ پر اترا تیرے رب کی طرف سے اور اگر ایسا نہ کیا تو تو نے کچھ نہ پہنچایا اس کا پیغام اور اللہ تجھ کو بچا لے گا لوگوں سے بیشک اللہ راستہ نہیں دکھلاتا قوم کفار کو [۱۹۱]

قُلْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَسْتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰ تُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۗ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَٰنًۭا وَكُفْرًۭا ۖ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

Qul yaaa Ahlal Kitaabi lastum 'alaa shai'in hattaa tuqeemut Tawraata wal Injeela wa maaa unzila ilaikum mir Rabbikum; wa layazeedanna kaseeram minhum maa unzila ilaika mir Rabbika tugh yaananw wa kufran falaa taasa 'alal qawmil kaafireen

Say O People of the Scripture! Ye have naught (of guidance) till ye observe the Torah and the Gospel and that which was revealed unto you from your Lord. That which is revealed unto thee (Muhammad) from thy Lord is certain to increase the contumacy and disbelief of many of them. But grieve not for the disbelieving folk.

کہہ دے اے کتاب والو تم کسی راہ پر نہیں جب تک نہ قائم کرو توریت اور انجیل کو اور جو تم پر اترا تمہارےرب کی طرف سے [۱۹۲] اور ان میں بہتوں کو بڑھے گی اس کلام سے جو تجھ پر اترا تیرے رب کی طرف سے شرارت اور کفر سو تو افسوس نہ کر اس قوم کفار پر [۱۹۳]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلصَّٰبِـُٔونَ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

Innal lazeena aamanoo wallazeena haadoo was saabi'oona wan Nasaaraa man aamana billaahi wal yawmil Aakhiri wa 'amila saalihan falaa khawfun 'alaihim wa laa hum yahzanoon

Lo! those who believe, and those who are Jews, and Sabaeans, and Christians - Whosoever believeth in Allah and the Last Day and doeth right - there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.

بیشک جو مسلمان ہیں اور جو یہودی ہیں اور فرقہ صابی اور نصاریٰ جو کوئی ایمان لاوے اللہ پر اور روز قیامت پر اور عمل کرے نیک نہ ان پر ڈر ہے نہ وہ غمگین ہوں گے [۱۹۴]

لَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ رُسُلًۭا ۖ كُلَّمَا جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۢ بِمَا لَا تَهْوَىٰٓ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَرِيقًۭا كَذَّبُوا۟ وَفَرِيقًۭا يَقْتُلُونَ

Laqad akhaznaa meesaaqa Banee Israaa'eela wa arsalnaaa ilaihim Rusulan kullamaa jaaa'ahum Rasoolum bimaa laa tahwaaa anfusuhum fareeqan kazzaboo wa fareeqany yaqtuloon

We made a covenant of old with the Children of Israel and We sent unto them messengers. As often as a messenger came unto them with that which their souls desired not (they became rebellious). Some (of them) they denied and some they slew.

ہم نے لیا تھا پختہ قول بنی اسرائیل سے [۱۹۵] اور بھیجے ان کی طرف رسول جب لایا ان کے پاس کوئی رسول وہ حکم جو خوش نہ آیا ان کے جی کو تو بہتوں کو جھٹلایا اور بہتوں کو قتل کر ڈالتےتھے [۱۹۶]

وَحَسِبُوٓا۟ أَلَّا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌۭ فَعَمُوا۟ وَصَمُّوا۟ ثُمَّ تَابَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ عَمُوا۟ وَصَمُّوا۟ كَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ

Wa hasibooo allaa takoona fitnaun fa'amoo wa sammoo summa taabal laahu 'alaihim summa 'amoo wa sammoo kaseerum minhum; wallaahu baseerum bimaa ya'maloon

They thought no harm would come of it, so they were wilfully blind and deaf. And afterward Allah turned (in mercy) toward them. Now (even after that) are many of them wilfully blind and deaf. Allah is Seer of what they do.

اور خیال کیا کہ کچھ خرابی نہ ہو گی سو وہ اندھے ہو گئے اور بہرے پھر توبہ قبول کی اللہ نے ان کی پھر اندھے اور بہرے ہوئے ان میں سےبہت [۱۹۷] اور اللہ دیکھتا ہے جو کچھ وہ کرتے ہیں [۱۹۸]

لَقَدْ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۖ وَقَالَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ يَٰبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبَّكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ مَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدْ حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَمَأْوَىٰهُ ٱلنَّارُ ۖ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍۢ

Laqad kafaral lazeena qaalooo innal laaha Huwal maseehub nu Maryama wa qaalal Maseehu yaa Baneee Israaa'eela budul laaha Rabbee wa Rabbakum innnahoo many-yushrik ballaahi faqad harramal laahu 'alaihil jannata wa maa waahun Naaru wa maa lizzaalimeena min ansaar

They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah (himself) said: O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Lo! whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden paradise. His abode is the Fire. For evil-doers there will be no helpers.

بیشک کافر ہوئے جنہوں نے کہا اللہ وہی مسیح ہے مریم کا بیٹا اور میسح نے کہا ہے کہ اے بنی اسرائیل بندگی کرو اللہ کی رب ہے میرا اور تمہارا بیشک جس نے شریک ٹھہرایا اللہ کا سو حرام کی اللہ نے اس پر جنت اور اس کا ٹھکانہ دوزخ ہے اور کوئی نہیں گنہگاروں کی مدد کرنے والا [۱۹۹]

لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلَٰثَةٍۢ ۘ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّآ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ ۚ وَإِن لَّمْ يَنتَهُوا۟ عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ لَيَمَسَّنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

laqad kafaral lazeena qaalooo innal laaha saalisu salaasah; wa maa min ilaahin illaaa Ilaahunw Waahid; wa illam yantahoo 'ammaa yaqooloona layamas sannal lazeena kafaroo minhum 'azaabun aleem

They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three; when there is no Allah save the One Allah. If they desist not from so saying a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve.

بیشک کافر ہوئے جنہوں نے کہا اللہ ہے تین میں کا ایک [۲۰۰] حالانکہ کوئی معبود نہیں بجز ایک معبود کے اور اگر نہ باز آویں گے اس بات سے کہ کہتے ہیں تو بیشک پہنچے گا ان میں سےکفر پر قائم رہنے والوں کو عذاب دردناک

أَفَلَا يَتُوبُونَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَهُۥ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Afalaa yatooboona ilal laahi wa yastaghfiroonah; wallaahu Ghafoorur Raheem

Will they not rather turn unto Allah and seek forgiveness of Him? For Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

کیوں نہیں توبہ کرتے اللہ کے آگے اور گناہ بخشواتے اس سے اور اللہ ہے بخشنے والا مہربان [۲۰۱]

مَّا ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٌۭ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُۥ صِدِّيقَةٌۭ ۖ كَانَا يَأْكُلَانِ ٱلطَّعَامَ ۗ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱنظُرْ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ

Mal Maseehub nu Maryama illaa Rasoolun qad khalat min qablihir Rusulu wa ummuhoo siddeeqatun kaanaa yaa kulaanit ta'aam; unzur kaifa nubaiyinu lahumul Aayaati suman zur annaa yu'fakoon

The Messiah, son of Mary, was no other than a messenger, messengers (the like of whom) had passed away before him. And his mother was a saintly woman. And they both used to eat (earthly) food. See how We make the revelations clear for them, and see how they are turned away!

نہیں ہے مسیح مریم کا بیٹا مگر رسول گذر چکے اس سے پہلے بہت رسول [۲۰۲] اور اسکی ماں ولی ہے [۲۰۳] دونوں کھاتےتھے کھانا دیکھ ہم کیسے بتلاتے ہیں ان کو دلیلیں پھر دیکھ وہ کہاں الٹے جارہے ہیں [۲۰۴]

قُلْ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّۭا وَلَا نَفْعًۭا ۚ وَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Qul ata'budoona min doonil laahi maa laa yamliku lakum darranw wa laa naf'aa; wallaahu Huwas Samee'ul 'Aleem

Say: Serve ye in place of Allah that which possesseth for you neither hurt nor use? Allah it is Who is the Hearer, the Knower.

تو کہہ دے کیا تم ایسی چیز کی بندگی کرتے ہو اللہ کو چھوڑ کر جو مالک نہیں تمہارے برے کی اور نہ بھلے کی اور اللہ وہی ہے سننے والا جاننے والا [۲۰۵]

قُلْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَا تَغْلُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ غَيْرَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَ قَوْمٍۢ قَدْ ضَلُّوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَضَلُّوا۟ كَثِيرًۭا وَضَلُّوا۟ عَن سَوَآءِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ

Qul yaaa Ahlal Kitaabi laa taghloo fee deenikum ghairal haqqi wa laa tattabi'ooo ahwaaa'a qawmin qad dalloo min qablu wa adalloo kaseeranw wa dalloo 'an Sawaaa'is Sabeel

Say: O People of the Scripture! Stress not in your religion other than the truth, and follow not the vain desires of folk who erred of old and led many astray, and erred from a plain road.

تو کہہ اے اہل کتاب مت مبالغہ کرو اپنے دین کی بات میں ناحق کا [۲۰۶] اور مت چلو خیالات پر ان لوگوں کے جو گمراہ ہو چکے پہلے اور گمراہ کر گئے بہتوں کو اور بہک گئے سیدھی راہ سے [۲۰۷]

لُعِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُۥدَ وَعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا۟ وَّكَانُوا۟ يَعْتَدُونَ

Lu'inal lazeena kafaroo mim Baneee israaa'eela 'alaa lisaani Daawooda wa 'Eesab ni Maryam; zaalika bimaa 'asaw wa kaanoo ya tadoon

Those of the Children of Israel who went astray were cursed by the tongue of David, and of Jesus, son of Mary. That was because they rebelled and used to transgress.

ملعون ہوئے کافر بنی اسرائیل میں کے داؤد کی زبان پر اور عیسٰی بیٹے مریم کے یہ اس لئے کہ وہ نافرمان تھے اور حد سے گذر گئےتھے [۲۰۸]

كَانُوا۟ لَا يَتَنَاهَوْنَ عَن مُّنكَرٍۢ فَعَلُوهُ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ

Kaanoo laa yatanaahawna 'am munkarin fa'aluhoo; labi'sa maa kaanoo yafa'loon

They restrained not one another from the wickedness they did. Verily evil was that they used to do!

آپس میں منع نہ کرتے برے کام سے جو وہ کر رہے تھے [۲۰۹] کیا ہی برا کام ہے جو کرتے تھے

تَرَىٰ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُمْ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لَهُمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ أَن سَخِطَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَفِى ٱلْعَذَابِ هُمْ خَٰلِدُونَ

Taraa kaseeram minhum yatawallawnal lazeena kafaroo; labi'sa maa qaddamat lahum anfusuhum an sakhital laahu 'alaihim wa fil 'azaabi hum khaalidoon

Thou seest many of them making friends with those who disbelieve. Surely ill for them is that which they themselves send on before them: that Allah will be wroth with them and in the doom they will abide.

تو دیکھتا ہے ان میں کہ بہت سے لوگ دوستی کرتے ہیں کافروں سے [۲۱۰] کیا ہی برا سامان بھیجا انہوں نے اپنے واسطے وہ یہ کہ اللہ کا غضب ہوا ان پر اور وہ ہمیشہ عذاب میں رہنے والے ہیں [۲۱۱]

وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلنَّبِىِّ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَا ٱتَّخَذُوهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَلَٰكِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ

Wa law kaanoo yu'minoona billaahi wan nabiyyi wa maaa unzila ilaihi attakhazoohum awliyaaa'a wa laakinna kaseeram minhum faasiqoon

If they believed in Allah and the Prophet and that which is revealed unto him, they would not choose them for their friends. But many of them are of evil conduct.

اور اگر وہ یقین رکھتے اللہ پر اور نبی پر اور جو نبی پر اترا تو کافروں کو دوست نہ بناتے [۲۱۲] لیکن ان میں بہت سے لوگ نافرمان ہیں [۲۱۳]

۞ لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ ٱلنَّاسِ عَدَٰوَةًۭ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلْيَهُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ ۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةًۭ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًۭا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

Latajidanna ashad dan naasi 'adaawatal lillazeena aamanul Yahooda wallazeena ashrakoo wa latajidanna aqrabahum mawaddatal lil lazeena aamanul lazeena qaalooo innaa Nasaaraa; zaalika bi anna mminhum qiseeseena wa ruhbaananw wa annahum laa yastakbiroon

Thou wilt find the most vehement of mankind in hostility to those who believe (to be) the Jews and the idolaters. And thou wilt find the nearest of them in affection to those who believe (to be) those who say: Lo! We are Christians. That is because there are among them priests and monks, and because they are not proud.

تو پاوے گا سب لگوں سے زیادہ دشمن مسلمانوں کا یہودیوں کو اور مشرکوں کو اور تو پاوے گا سب سے نزدیک محبت میں مسلمانوں کے ان لوگوں کو جو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نصاریٰ ہیں یہ اس واسطے کہ نصاریٰ میں عالم ہیں اور درویش ہیں اور اس واسطے کہ وہ تکبر نہیں کرتے

وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا۟ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ تَرَىٰٓ أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ ٱلدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ ۖ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱكْتُبْنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ

Wa izaa sami'oo maaa unzila ilar Rasooli taraaa a'yunahum tafeedu minad dam'i mimmmaa 'arafoo minalhaqq; yaqooloona Rabbanaaa aamannaa faktubnaa ma'ash shaahideen

When they listen to that which hath been revealed unto the messengers, thou seest their eyes overflow with tears because of their recognition of the Truth. They say: Our Lord, we believe. Inscribe us as among the witnesses.

اور جب سنتے ہیں اس کو جو اترا رسول پر تو دیکھے تو ان کی آنکھوں کو کہ ابلتی ہیں آنسوؤں سے اس وجہ سے کہ انہوں نے پہچان لیا حق بات کو کہتے ہیں اے رب ہمارے ہم ایمان لائے سو تو لکھ ہم کو ماننے والوں کے ساتھ

وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَن يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

Wa maa lanaa laa nu'minu billaahi wa maa jaaa'anaa minal haqqi wa natma'u ai yudkhilanaa Rabbunaa ma'al qawmis saaliheen

How should we not believe in Allah and that which hath come unto us of the Truth. And (how should we not) hope that our Lord will bring us in along with righteous folk?

اور ہم کو کیا ہوا کہ یقین نہ لاویں اللہ پر اور اس چیز پر جو پہنچی ہم کو حق سےاور توقع رکھیں اسکی کہ داخل کرے ہم کو رب ہمارا ساتھ نیک بختوں کے

فَأَثَٰبَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا قَالُوا۟ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Fa asaabahumul laahu bimaa qaaloo Jannnaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaa; wa zaalika jazaaa'ul muhsineen

Allah hath rewarded them for that their saying - Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever. That is the reward of the good.

پھر انکو بدلے میں دیے اللہ نے اس کہنے پر ایسے باغ کہ جن کے نیچے بہتی ہیں نہریں رہا کریں ان میں ہی اور یہ ہے بدلا نیکی کرنے والوں کا

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

Wallazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaaa ulaaa'ika Ashaabul Jaheem

But those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, they are owners of hell-fire.

اور جو لوگ منکر ہوئے اور جھٹلانےلگے ہمای آیتوں کو وہ ہیں دوزخ کے رہنے والے [۲۱۴]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحَرِّمُوا۟ طَيِّبَٰتِ مَآ أَحَلَّ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tuharrimoo taiyibaati maaa ahallal laahu lakum wa laa ta'tadooo; innal laaha laa yuhibbul mu'tadeen

O ye who believe! Forbid not the good things which Allah hath made lawful for you, and transgress not, Lo! Allah loveth not transgressors.

اے ایمان والو مت حرام ٹھہراؤ وہ لذیذ چیزیں جو اللہ نے تمہارے لئےحلال کردیں اور حد سے نہ بڑھو بیشک اللہ پسند نہیں کرتا حد سے بڑھنے والوں کو

وَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ حَلَٰلًۭا طَيِّبًۭا ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنتُم بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ

Wa kuloo mimmaa razaqakumul laahu halaalan taiyibaa; wattaqul laahallazeee antum bihee mu'minon

Eat of that which Allah hath bestowed on you as food lawful and good, and keep your duty to Allah in Whom ye are believers.

اور کھاؤ اللہ کے دیے ہوئے میں سے جو چیز حلال پاکیزہ ہو اور ڈرتے رہو اللہ سے جس پر تم ایمان رکھتے ہو [۲۱۵]

لَا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِٱللَّغْوِ فِىٓ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا عَقَّدتُّمُ ٱلْأَيْمَٰنَ ۖ فَكَفَّٰرَتُهُۥٓ إِطْعَامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسَٰكِينَ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ أَوْ كِسْوَتُهُمْ أَوْ تَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍۢ ۖ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَٰثَةِ أَيَّامٍۢ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ كَفَّٰرَةُ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ ۚ وَٱحْفَظُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

Laa yu'aakhizukumul laahu billaghwi feee aimaanikum wa laakiny ya'aakhizukum bimaa 'aqqattumul aimaana fakaf faaratuhooo it'aamu 'asharati masaakeena min awsati maa tut'imoona ahleekum aw kiswatuhum aw tahreeru raqabatin famallam yajid fa Siyaamu salaasati aiyaam; zaalika kaffaaratu aimaanikum izaa halaftum; wahfazooo aimaanakum; kazaalika yubaiyinul laahu lakum Aayaatihee la'allakum tashkuroon

Allah will not take you to task for that which is unintentional in your oaths, but He will take you to task for the oaths which ye swear in earnest. The expiation thereof is the feeding of ten of the needy with the average of that wherewith ye feed your own folk, or the clothing of them, or the liberation of a slave, and for him who findeth not (the wherewithal to do so) then a three days' fast. This is the expiation of your oaths when ye have sworn; and keep your oaths. Thus Allah expoundeth unto you His revelations in order that ye may give thanks.

نہیں پکڑتا اللہ تم کو تمہاری بیہودہ قسموں پر [۲۱۶] لیکن پکڑتا ہے اس پر جس قسم کو تم نے مضبوط باندھا سو اس کا کفارہ کھانا دینا ہے دس محتاجوں کو اوسط درجہ کا کھانا جو دیتے ہو اپنے گھر والوں کو [۲۱۷] یا کپڑا پہنا دینا دس محتاجوں کو [۲۱۸] یا ایک گردن آزاد کرنی [۲۱۹] پھر جس کو میسر نہ ہوتو روزے رکھنے ہیں تین دن کے [۲۲۰] یہ کفارہ ہے تمہاری قسموں کا جب قسم کھا بیٹھو اور حفاطت رکھو اپنی قسموں کی [۲۲۱] اسی طرح بیان کرتا ہے اللہ تمہارے لئے اپنے حکم تاکہ تم احسان مانو [۲۲۲]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا ٱلْخَمْرُ وَٱلْمَيْسِرُ وَٱلْأَنصَابُ وَٱلْأَزْلَٰمُ رِجْسٌۭ مِّنْ عَمَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ فَٱجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanooo innamal khamru walmaisiru wal ansaabu wal azlaamu rijsum min 'amalish shaitaani fajtaniboohu la'al lakum tuflihoon

O ye who believe! Strong drink and games of chance and idols and divining arrows are only an infamy of Satan's handiwork. Leave it aside in order that ye may succeed.

اے ایمان والو یہ جو ہے شراب اور جوا اور بت اور پانسے [۲۲۳] سب گندے کام ہیں شیطان کے سو ان سے بچتے رہو تاکہ تم نجات پاؤ [۲۲۴]

إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَن يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْعَدَٰوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ فِى ٱلْخَمْرِ وَٱلْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَعَنِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّنتَهُونَ

Innamaa yureedush Shaitaanu ai yooqi'a bainakumul 'adaawata wal baghdaaa'a fil khamri wal maisiri wa yasuddakum 'an zikril laahi wa 'anis Salaati fahal antum muntahoon

Satan seeketh only to cast among you enmity and hatred by means of strong drink and games of chance, and to turn you from remembrance of Allah and from (His) worship. Will ye then have done?

شیطان تو یہی چاہتا ہے کہ ڈالے تم میں دشمنی اور بیر بذریعہ شراب اور جوئے کے اور روکےتم کو اللہ کی یاد سے اور نماز سے سو اب بھی تم باز آؤ گے [۲۲۵]

وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ وَٱحْذَرُوا۟ ۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

Wa atee'ul laaha wa atee'ur Rasoola wahzaroo; fa in tawal laitum fa'lamooo annamaa 'alaa Rasoolinal balaaghul mubeen

Obey Allah and obey the messenger, and beware! But if ye turn away, then know that the duty of Our messenger is only plain conveyance (of the message).

اور حکم مانو اللہ کا اور حکم مانو رسول کا اور بچتے رہو پھر اگر تم پھر جاؤ گے تو جان لو کہ ہمارے رسول کا ذمہ صرف پہنچا دینا ہے کھول کر [۲۲۶]

لَيْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جُنَاحٌۭ فِيمَا طَعِمُوٓا۟ إِذَا مَا ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّءَامَنُوا۟ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّأَحْسَنُوا۟ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Laisa 'alal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati junaahun feemaa ta'imooo izaa mat taqaw wa aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati summat taqaw wa aamanoo summat taqaw wa ahsanoo; wallaahu yuhibbul muhsineen

There shall be no sin (imputed) unto those who believe and do good works for what they may have eaten (in the past). So be mindful of your duty (to Allah), and believe, and do good works; and again: be mindful of your duty, and believe; and once again: be mindful of your duty, and do right. Allah loveth the good.

جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور کام نیک کئے ان پر گناہ نہیں اس میں جو کچھ پہلے کھا چکے جب کہ آئندہ کو ڈر گئے اور ایمان لائے اور عمل نیک کئے پھر ڈرتے رہے اور یقین کیا پھر ڈرتے رہے اور نیکی کی اور اللہ دوست رکھتا ہےنیکی کرنے والوں کو [۲۲۷]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَيَبْلُوَنَّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِشَىْءٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلصَّيْدِ تَنَالُهُۥٓ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَرِمَاحُكُمْ لِيَعْلَمَ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَخَافُهُۥ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚ فَمَنِ ٱعْتَدَىٰ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَلَهُۥ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo la yabluwannnakumul laahu bishai'im minas saidi tanaaluhooo aideekum wa rimaahukum liya'lamal laahu mai yakhaafuhoo bilghaib; famani' tadaa ba'da zaalika falahoo 'azaabun aleem

O ye who believe! Allah will surely try you somewhat (in the matter) of the game which ye take with your hands and your spears, that Allah may know him who feareth Him in secret. Whoso transgresseth after this, for him there is a painful doom.

اے ایمان والو البتہ تم کو آزماوے گا اللہ ایک بات سے اس شکار میں کہ جس پر پہنچے ہیں ہاتھ تمہارے اور نیزےتمہارے [۲۲۸] تاکہ معلوم کرے اللہ کون اس سے ڈرتا ہے بن دیکھے [۲۲۹] پھر جس نے زیادتی کی اس کے بعد تو اس کے لئے عذاب دردناک ہے

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلصَّيْدَ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌۭ ۚ وَمَن قَتَلَهُۥ مِنكُم مُّتَعَمِّدًۭا فَجَزَآءٌۭ مِّثْلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ ٱلنَّعَمِ يَحْكُمُ بِهِۦ ذَوَا عَدْلٍۢ مِّنكُمْ هَدْيًۢا بَٰلِغَ ٱلْكَعْبَةِ أَوْ كَفَّٰرَةٌۭ طَعَامُ مَسَٰكِينَ أَوْ عَدْلُ ذَٰلِكَ صِيَامًۭا لِّيَذُوقَ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِۦ ۗ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا سَلَفَ ۚ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَيَنتَقِمُ ٱللَّهُ مِنْهُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌۭ ذُو ٱنتِقَامٍ

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa taqtuslus saida wa antum hurum; wa man qatalahoo minkum mut'am midan fajazaaa'um mislu maa qatala minanna'ami yahkumu bihee zawaa 'adlim minkum hadyam baalighal Ka'bati aw kaffaaratun ta'aamu masaakeena aw 'adlu zaalika Siyaamal liyazooqa wabaala amrih; 'afal laahu 'ammaa salaf; wa man 'aada fayanta qimul laahu minh; wallaahu 'azeezun zuntiqaam

O ye who believe! Kill no wild game while ye are on the pilgrimage. Whoso of you killeth it of set purpose he shall pay its forfeit in the equivalent of that which he hath killed, of domestic animals, the judge to be two men among you known for justice, (the forfeit) to be brought as an offering to the Ka'bah; or, for expiation, he shall feed poor persons, or the equivalent thereof in fasting, that he may taste the evil consequences of his deed. Allah forgiveth whatever (of this kind) may have happened in the past, but whoso relapseth, Allah will take retribution from him. Allah is Mighty, Able to Requite (the wrong).

اے ایمان والو نہ مارو شکار جس وقت تم ہو احرام میں [۲۳۰] اور جو کوئی تم میں اس کو مارے جان کر [۲۳۱] تو اس پر بدلا ہے اس مارے ہوئے کے برابر مویشی میں سے جو تجویز کریں دو آدمی معتبر تم میں سے اس طرح سے کہ وہ جانور بدلے کا بطور نیاز پہنچایا جاوے کعبہ تک یا اس پر کفارہ ہے چند محتاجوں کو کھلانا یا اس کےبرابر روزے تاکہ چکھے سزا اپنے کام کی [۲۳۲] اللہ نے معاف کیا جو کچھ ہو چکا [۲۳۳] اور جو کوئی پھر کرے گا اس سے بدلا لے گا اللہ اور اللہ زبردست ہے بدلا لینے والا [۲۳۴]

أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ ٱلْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُۥ مَتَٰعًۭا لَّكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ ۖ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَيْدُ ٱلْبَرِّ مَا دُمْتُمْ حُرُمًۭا ۗ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ

Uhilla lakum saidul bahri wa ta'aamuhoo mataa'al lakum wa lissaiyaarati wa hurrima 'alaikum saidul barri maa dumtum hurumaa; wattaqul laahal lazeee ilaihi tuhsharoon

To hunt and to eat the fish of the sea is made lawful for you, a provision for you and for seafarers; but to hunt on land is forbidden you so long as ye are on the pilgrimage. Be mindful of your duty to Allah, unto Whom ye will be gathered.

حلال ہوا تمہارے لئے دریا کا شکار اور دریا کا کھانا تمہارے فائدہ کے واسطے اور سب مسافروں کے اور حرام ہوا تم پر جنگل کا شکار جب تک تم احرام میں رہو اور ڈرتے رہو اللہ سےجس کے پاس تم جمع ہو گے [۲۳۵]

۞ جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْكَعْبَةَ ٱلْبَيْتَ ٱلْحَرَامَ قِيَٰمًۭا لِّلنَّاسِ وَٱلشَّهْرَ ٱلْحَرَامَ وَٱلْهَدْىَ وَٱلْقَلَٰٓئِدَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِتَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ

Ja'alal laahul Ka'batal Baital Haraama qiyaamal linnaasi wash Shahral Haraama walhadya walqalaaa'id; zaalika lita'lamooo annal laaha ya'lamu maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi wa annal laaha bikulli shai'in 'Aleem

Allah hath appointed the Ka'bah, the Sacred House, a standard for mankind, and the Sacred Month and the offerings and the garlands. That is so that ye may know that Allah knoweth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and that Allah is Knower of all things.

اللہ نے کر دیا کعبہ کو جو کہ گھر ہے بزرگی والا قیام کا باعث لوگوں کے لئے اور بزرگی والے مہینوں کو اور قربانی کو جو نیاز کعبہ کی ہو اور جنکے گلے میں پٹہ ڈال کر لیجاویں کعبہ کو [۲۳۶] یہ اس لئے کہ تم جان لو کہ بیشک اللہ کو معلوم ہے جو کچھ کہ ہے آسمان اور زمین میں اور اللہ ہر چیز سے خوب واقف ہے [۲۳۷]

ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

I'lamooo annal laaha shadeedul 'iqaabi wa annal laaha Ghafoorur Raheem

Know that Allah is severe in punishment, but that Allah (also) is Forgiving, Merciful.

جان لو کہ بیشک اللہ کا عذاب سخت ہے اور بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے [۲۳۸]

مَّا عَلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُونَ

Maa 'alar Rasooli illal balaagh; wallaahu ya'lamu maa tubdoona wa maa taktumoon

The duty of the messenger is only to convey (the message). Allah knoweth what ye proclaim and what ye hide.

رسول کے ذمہ نہیں مگر پہنچا دینا اور اللہ کو معلوم ہے جو تم ظاہر میں کرتے ہو اور جو چھپا کر کرتے ہو [۲۳۹]

قُل لَّا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْخَبِيثُ وَٱلطَّيِّبُ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ كَثْرَةُ ٱلْخَبِيثِ ۚ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ يَٰٓأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

Qul laa yastawil khabeesu wattaiyibu wa law a'jabaka kasratul khabees; fattaqul laaha yaaa ulil albaabi la'allakum tuflihoon

Say: The evil and the good are not alike even though the plenty of the evil attract thee. So be mindful of your duty to Allah, O men of understanding, that ye may succeed.

تو کہہ دے کہ برابر نہیں ناپاک اور پاک اگرچہ تجھ کو بھلی لگے ناپاک کی کثرت سو ڈرتے رہو اللہ سے اے عقلمندو تاکہ تمہاری نجات ہو [۲۴۰]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ عَنْ أَشْيَآءَ إِن تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ وَإِن تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ عَنْهَا حِينَ يُنَزَّلُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَنْهَا ۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌۭ

yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tas'aloo 'an ashyaaa'a in tubda lakum tasu'kum wa in tas'aloo 'anhaa heena yunazzalul Qur'aanu tubda lakum; 'afallaahu 'anhaa; wallaahu Ghafoorun Haleem

O ye who believe! Ask not of things which, if they were made unto you, would trouble you; but if ye ask of them when the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be made known unto you. Allah pardoneth this, for Allah is Forgiving, Clement.

اے ایمان والو مت پوچھو ایسی باتیں کہ اگر تم پر کھولی جاویں تو تم کو بری لگیں اور اگر پوچھو گے یہ باتیں ایسے وقت میں کہ قرآن نازل ہو رہا ہے تو تم پر ظاہر کر دی جاویں گی [۲۴۱] اللہ نے ان سے درگذر کی ہے [۲۴۲] اور اللہ بخشنے والا تحمل والا ہے

قَدْ سَأَلَهَا قَوْمٌۭ مِّن قَبْلِكُمْ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحُوا۟ بِهَا كَٰفِرِينَ

Qad sa alahaa qawmum min qablikum summa asbahoo bihaa kaafireen

A folk before you asked (for such disclosures) and then disbelieved therein.

ایسی باتیں پوچھ چکی ہے ایک جماعت تم سے پہلے پھر ہو گئے ان باتوں سے منکر [۲۴۳]

مَا جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنۢ بَحِيرَةٍۢ وَلَا سَآئِبَةٍۢ وَلَا وَصِيلَةٍۢ وَلَا حَامٍۢ ۙ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ ۖ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ

Maa ja'alal laahu mim baheeratinw wa laa saaa'ibatinw wa laa waseelatinw wa laa haaminw wa laakinnal lazeena kafaroo yaftaroona 'alallaahil kazib; wa aksaruhum laa ya'qiloon

Allah hath not appointed anything in the nature of a Bahirah or a Sa'ibah or a Wasilah or a Hami, but those who disbelieve invent a lie against Allah. Most of them have no sense.

نہیں مقرر کیا اللہ نے بحیرہ اور نہ سائبہ اور نہ وصیلہ اور نہ حامی و لیکن کافر باندھتے ہیں اللہ پر بہتان اور ان میں اکثروں کو عقل نہیں [۲۴۴]

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ قَالُوا۟ حَسْبُنَا مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَآ ۚ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ

Wa izaa qeela lahum ta'aalaw ilaa maaa anzalallaahu wa ilar Rasooli qaaloo hasbunaa maa wajadnaa 'alaihi aabaaa'anaa; awa law kaana aabaaa'uhum laa ya'lamoona shai'anw wa laa yahtadoon

And when it is said unto them: Come unto that which Allah hath revealed and unto the messenger, they say: Enough for us is that wherein we found our fathers. What! Even though their fathers had no knowledge whatsoever, and no guidance?

اور جب کہا جاتا ہے ان کو آؤ اسکی طرف جو کہ اللہ نے نازل کیا اور رسول کی طرف تو کہتے ہیں ہم کو کافی ہے وہ جس پر پایا ہم نے اپنے باپ دادوں کو بھلا اگر انکے باپ دادے نہ کچھ علم رکھتے ہوں اور نہ راہ جانتے ہوں تو بھی ایسا ہی کریں گے [۲۴۵]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۖ لَا يَضُرُّكُم مَّن ضَلَّ إِذَا ٱهْتَدَيْتُمْ ۚ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًۭا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo 'alaikum anfusakum laa yadurrukum man dalla izah tadaitum; ilal laahi marji'ukum jamee'an fayunabbi'ukum bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

O ye who believe! Ye have charge of your own souls. He who erreth cannot injure you if ye are rightly guided. Unto Allah ye will all return; and then He will inform you of what ye used to do.

اے ایمان والو تم پر لازم ہے فکر اپنی جان کا تمہارا کچھ نہیں بگاڑتا جو کوئی گمراہ ہوا جبکہ تم ہوئے راہ پر [۲۴۶] اللہ کے پاس لوٹ کر جانا ہے تم سب کو پھر وہ جتلاوے گا تمکو جو کچھ تم کرتےتھے [۲۴۷]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ شَهَٰدَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ حِينَ ٱلْوَصِيَّةِ ٱثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍۢ مِّنكُمْ أَوْ ءَاخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَصَٰبَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۚ تَحْبِسُونَهُمَا مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِٱللَّهِ إِنِ ٱرْتَبْتُمْ لَا نَشْتَرِى بِهِۦ ثَمَنًۭا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ ۙ وَلَا نَكْتُمُ شَهَٰدَةَ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْءَاثِمِينَ

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo shahaadatu bainikum izaa hadara ahadakumul mawtu heenal wasiyyatis naani zawaa 'adlim minkum aw aakharaani min ghairikum in antum darabtum fil ardi fa asaabatkum museebatul mawt; tahbi soonahumaa mim ba'dis Salaati fa yuqsimaani billaahi inirtabtum laa nashtaree bihee samananw wa law kaana zaa qurbaa wa laa naktumu shahaadatal laahi innaaa izal laminal aasimeen

O ye who believe! Let there be witnesses between you when death draweth nigh unto one of you, at the time of bequest - two witnesses, just men from among you, or two others from another tribe, in case ye are campaigning in the land and the calamity of death befall you. Ye shall empanel them both after the prayer, and, if ye doubt, they shall be made to swear by Allah (saying): We will not take a bribe, even though it were (on behalf of) a near kinsman nor will we hide the testimony of Allah, for then indeed we should be of the sinful.

اے ایمان والو گواہ درمیان تمہارے جبکہ پہنچے کسی کو تم میں موت وصیت کے وقت دو شخص معتبر ہونے چاہئیں [۲۴۸] تم میں سے [۲۴۹] یا دو شاہد اور ہوں تمہارے سوا [۲۵۰] اگر تم نے سفر کیا ہو ملک میں پھرپہنچے تم کو مصیبت موت کی تو کھڑا کرو ان دونوں کو بعد نماز کے [۲۵۱] وہ دونوں قسم کھاویں اللہ کی اگر تم کو شبہ پڑے کہیں کہ ہم نہیں لیتے قسم کے بدلے مال اگرچہ کسی کو ہم سے قرابت بھی ہو اور ہم نہیں چھپاتے اللہ کی گواہی نہیں تو ہم بیشک گنہگار ہیں [۲۵۲]

فَإِنْ عُثِرَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنَّهُمَا ٱسْتَحَقَّآ إِثْمًۭا فَـَٔاخَرَانِ يَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْأَوْلَيَٰنِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِٱللَّهِ لَشَهَٰدَتُنَآ أَحَقُّ مِن شَهَٰدَتِهِمَا وَمَا ٱعْتَدَيْنَآ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Fa in 'usira 'alaaa annahumas tahaqqaaa isman fa aakharaani yaqoomaani maqaamahumaa minal lazeenas tahaqqa 'alaihimul awlayaani fa yuqsimaani billaahi lashahaadatunaaa ahaqqu min shahaadatihimaaa wa ma'tadainaaa innaaa izal laminaz zaalimeen

But then, if it is afterwards ascertained that both of them merit (the suspicion of) sin, let two others take their place of those nearly concerned, and let them swear by Allah, (saying): Verily our testimony is truer than their testimony and we have not transgressed (the bounds of duty), for them indeed we should be of the evil-doers.

پھر اگر خبر ہو جاوے کہ وہ دونوں حق بات دبا گئے تو دو گواہ اور کھڑے ہوں ان کی جگہ [۲۵۳] ان میں سے کہ جن کا حق دبا ہے جو سب سے زیادہ قریب ہوں میت کے پھر قسم کھاویں اللہ کی کہ ہماری گواہی تحقیقی ہے پہلوں کی گواہی سے اور ہم نے زیادتی نہیں کی نہیں تو ہم بیشک ظالم ہیں [۲۵۴]

ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتُوا۟ بِٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهَآ أَوْ يَخَافُوٓا۟ أَن تُرَدَّ أَيْمَٰنٌۢ بَعْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ ۗ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ

Zaalika adnaaa ai yaatoo bishshahaadati 'alaa wajhihaaa aw yakhaafooo an turadda aimaanum ba'da aimaanihim; wattaqul laaha wasma'oo; wallaahu laa yahdil qawmal faasiqeen

Thus it is more likely that they will bear true witness or fear that after their oaths the oaths (of others) will be taken. So be mindful of your duty (to Allah) and hearken. Allah guideth not the froward folk.

اس میں امید ہے کہ ادا کریں شہادت کو ٹھیک طرح پر اور ڈریں کہ الٹی پڑے گی قسم ہماری ان کی قسم کے بعد [۲۵۵] اور ڈرتے رہو اللہ سے اور سن رکھو اور اللہ نہیں چلاتا سیدھی راہ پر نافرمانوں کو [۲۵۶]

۞ يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أُجِبْتُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ

yawma yajma'ul laahur Rusula fa yaqoolu maazaaa ujibtum qaaloo laa 'ilma lanaa innaka Anta 'Allaamul Ghuyoob

In the day when Allah gathereth together the messengers, and saith: What was your response (from mankind)? they say: We have no knowledge. Lo! Thou, only Thou art the Knower of Things Hidden,

جس دن اللہ جمع کرے گا سب پیغمبروں کو پھر کہے گا تم کو کیا جواب ملا تھا [۲۵۷] وہ کہیں گے ہم کو خبر نہیں [۲۵۸] تو ہی ہے چھپی باتوں کو جاننے والا

إِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ٱذْكُرْ نِعْمَتِى عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ ٱلنَّاسَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًۭا ۖ وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ ۖ وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ ٱلطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِى فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًۢا بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَتُبْرِئُ ٱلْأَكْمَهَ وَٱلْأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَنكَ إِذْ جِئْتَهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

Iz qaalal laahu yaa 'Eesab-na-Maryamaz kur ni'matee 'alaika wa 'alaa waalidatik; iz aiyattuka bi Roohil Qudusi tukallimun naasa fil mahdi wa kahlanw wa iz 'allamtukal kitaaba wal Hikmata wa Tawraata wal Injeela wa iz Takhluqu minat teeni kahai 'atit tairi bi iznee fatanfukhu feeha fatakoonu tairam bi iznee wa tubri'ul akmaha wal abrasa bi iznee wa iz tukhrijul mawtaa bi iznee wa iz kafaftu Baneee Israaa'eela 'anka iz ji'tahum bil baiyinaati fa qaalal lazeena kafaroo minhum in haazaaa illaa sihrum mubeen

When Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My favour unto thee and unto thy mother; how I strengthened thee with the holy Spirit, so that thou spakest unto mankind in the cradle as in maturity; and how I taught thee the Scripture and Wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and how thou didst shape of clay as it were the likeness of a bird by My permission, and didst blow upon it and it was a bird by My permission, and thou didst heal him who was born blind and the leper by My permission; and how thou didst raise the dead by My permission; and how I restrained the Children of Israel from (harming) thee when thou camest unto them with clear proofs, and those of them who disbelieved exclaimed: This is naught else than mere magic;

جب کہے گا اللہ [۲۵۹] اے عیسٰی مریم کے بیٹے یاد کر میرا احسان جو ہوا ہے تجھ پر اور تیری ماں پر [۲۶۰] جب مدد کی میں نے تیری روح پاک سے تو کلام کرتا تھا لوگوں سے گود میں اور بڑی عمر میں اور جب سکھائی میں نے تجھ کو کتاب اور تہہ کی باتیں اور توریت اور انجیل اور جب تو بناتا تھا گارے سے جانور کی صورت میرے حکم سے پھر پھونک مارتا تھا اسمیں تو ہو جاتا اڑنے والا میرے حکم سے اور اچھا کرتا تھا مادرزاد اندھے کو اور کوڑھی کو میرے حکم سے او رجب نکال کھڑا کرتا تھا مردوں کو میرے حکم سے [۲۶۱] اور جب روکا میں نے بنی اسرائیل کو تجھ سے جب تو لے کر آیا انکے پاس نشانیاں تو کہنے لگے جو کافر تھے ان میں اور کچھ نہیں یہ تو جادو ہے صریح [۲۶۲]

وَإِذْ أَوْحَيْتُ إِلَى ٱلْحَوَارِيِّۦنَ أَنْ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِى وَبِرَسُولِى قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَٱشْهَدْ بِأَنَّنَا مُسْلِمُونَ

Wa iz awhaitu ilal hawaariyyeena an aaminoo bee wa bi Rasoolee qaalooo aamannaa washhad bi annanaa muslimoon

And when I inspired the disciples, (saying): Believe in Me and in My messenger, they said: We believe. Bear witness that we have surrendered (unto Thee) "we are muslims".

اور جب میں نے دل میں ڈال دیا حواریوں کے کہ ایمان لاؤ مجھ پر اور میرے رسول پر تو کہنے لگے ہم ایمان لائے اور تو گواہ رہ کہ ہم فرمانبردار ہیں

إِذْ قَالَ ٱلْحَوَارِيُّونَ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ هَلْ يَسْتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۖ قَالَ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

Iz qaalal hawaariyyoona yaa 'Eesab na Maryama hal yastatee'u Rabbuka ai yunaz zila 'alinaa maaa'idatam minas samaaa'i qaalat taqul laaha in kuntum mu'mineen

When the disciples said: O Jesus, son of Mary! Is thy Lord able to send down for us a table spread with food from heaven? He said: Observe your duty to Allah, if ye are true believers.

جب کہا حواریوں نے اے عیسٰی مریم کے بیٹے تیرا رب کر سکتا ہے [۲۶۳] کہ اتارے ہم پر خوان بھرا ہوا آسمان سے [۲۶۴] بولا ڈرو اللہ سے اگر ہو تم ایمان والے [۲۶۵]

قَالُوا۟ نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأْكُلَ مِنْهَا وَتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ صَدَقْتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيْهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ

Qaaloo nureedu an naakula minhaa wa tatam'inna quloo bunaa wa na'lama an qad sadaqtana wa nakoona 'alaihaa minash shaahideen

(They said:) We wish to eat thereof, that we may satisfy our hearts and know that thou hast spoken truth to us, and that thereof we may be witnesses.

بولے کہ ہم چاہتے ہیں کہ کھاویں اس میں سے اور مطمئن ہو جاویں ہمارے دل اور جان لیں کہ تو نے ہم سے سچ کہا او رہیں ہم اس پر گواہ [۲۶۶]

قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ٱللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَآ أَنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًۭا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَءَاخِرِنَا وَءَايَةًۭ مِّنكَ ۖ وَٱرْزُقْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ

Qaala 'Eesab nu Maryamal laahumma Rabbanaaa anzil 'alainaa maaa'idatam minas samaaa'i takoonu lanaa 'eedal li awwalinaa wa aakirinaa wa Aayatam minka warzuqnaa wa Anta khairur raaziqeen

Jesus, son of Mary, said: O Allah, Lord of us! Send down for us a table spread with food from heaven, that it may be a feast for us, for the first of us and for the last of us, and a sign from Thee. Give us sustenance, for Thou art the Best of Sustainers.

کہا عیسٰی مریم کے بیٹے نے اے اللہ رب ہمارے اتار ہم پر خوان بھرا ہوا آسمان سے کہ وہ دن عید رہے ہماری پہلوں او رپچھلوں کے واسطے [۲۶۷] اور نشانی ہو تیری طرف سے [۲۶۸] اور روزی دے ہم کو اور تو ہی ہے سب سے بہتر روزی دینے والا [۲۶۹]

قَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّى مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بَعْدُ مِنكُمْ فَإِنِّىٓ أُعَذِّبُهُۥ عَذَابًۭا لَّآ أُعَذِّبُهُۥٓ أَحَدًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Waalal laahu innee munaz ziluhaa 'alaikum faman yakfur ba'du minkum fa inneee u'azzibuhoo 'azaabal laaa u'azzibuhooo ahadam minal 'aalameen

Allah said: Lo! I send it down for you. And whoso disbelieveth of you afterward, him surely will I punish with a punishment wherewith I have not punished any of (My) creatures.

کہا اللہ نے میں بیشک اتاروں گا وہ خوان تم پر پھر جو کوئی تم میں ناشکری کرے گا اس کے بعد تو میں اس کو وہ عذاب دوں گا جو کسی کو نہ دوں گا جہان میں [۲۷۰]

وَإِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ءَأَنتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ ٱتَّخِذُونِى وَأُمِّىَ إِلَٰهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ قَالَ سُبْحَٰنَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِىٓ أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِى بِحَقٍّ ۚ إِن كُنتُ قُلْتُهُۥ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَهُۥ ۚ تَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِى وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِكَ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ

Wa iz qaalal laahu yaa 'Eesab na Maryama 'a-anta qulta linnaasit takhizoonee wa ummiya ilaahaini min doonil laahi qaala Subhaanaka maa yakoonu leee anaqoola maa yakkoonu leee an aqoola maa laisa lee bihaqq; in kuntu qultuhoo faqad 'alimtah; ta'lamu maa fee nafsee wa laaa a'almu maa fee nafsik; innaka Anta 'Allaamul Ghuyoob

And when Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Didst thou say unto mankind: Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah? he saith: Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I used to say it, then Thou knewest it. Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I know not what is in Thy Mind. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower of Things Hidden?

اور جب کہے گا اللہ اے عیسٰی مریم کے بیٹے تو نے کہا لوگوں کو کہ ٹھہرا لو مجھ کو اور میری ماں کو دو معبود سوا اللہ کے [۲۷۱] کہا تو پاک ہے مجھ کو لائق نہیں کہ کہوں ایسی بات جس کا مجھ کو حق نہیں اگر میں نے یہ کہا ہوگا تو تجھ کو ضرور معلوم ہو گا تو جانتا ہے جو میرے جی میں ہے اور میں نہیں جانتا جو تیرے جی میں ہے بیشک تو ہی ہے جاننے والا چھپی باتوں کا [۲۷۲]

مَا قُلْتُ لَهُمْ إِلَّا مَآ أَمَرْتَنِى بِهِۦٓ أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبَّكُمْ ۚ وَكُنتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًۭا مَّا دُمْتُ فِيهِمْ ۖ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِى كُنتَ أَنتَ ٱلرَّقِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَأَنتَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ شَهِيدٌ

Maa qultu lahum illaa maaa amartanee bihee ani'budul laaha Rabbeee wa Rabbakum; wa kuntu 'alaihim shaheedam maa dumtu feehim falammaa tawaffaitanee kunta Antar Raqeeba 'alaihim; wa Anta 'alaa kulli shai'in Shaheed

I spake unto them only that which Thou commandedst me, (saying): Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. I was a witness of them while I dwelt among them, and when Thou tookest me Thou wast the Watcher over them. Thou art Witness over all things.

میں نے کچھ نہیں کہا انکو مگر جو تو نے حکم کیا کہ بندگی کرو اللہ کی جو رب ہے میرا اور تمہارا [۲۷۳] اور میں ان سے خبردار تھا جب تک ان میں رہا پھر جب تو نے مجھ کو اٹھا لیا تو تو ہی تھا خبر رکھنے والا ان کی اور تو ہر چیز سے خبردار ہے [۲۷۴]

إِن تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ ۖ وَإِن تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

In tu'azzibhum fa innahum ibaaduka wa in taghfir lahum fa innaka Antal 'Azzezul Hakeem

If Thou punish them, lo! they are Thy slaves, and if Thou forgive them (lo! they are Thy slaves). Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Mighty, the Wise.

اگر تو انکو عذاب دے تو وہ بندے ہیں تیرے اور اگر تو ان کو معاف کر دے تو تو ہی ہے زبردست حکمت والا [۲۷۵]

قَالَ ٱللَّهُ هَٰذَا يَوْمُ يَنفَعُ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ صِدْقُهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًۭا ۚ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

Qaalal laahu haaza yawmu yanfa'us saadiqeena sidquhum; lahum janaatunn tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaaa abadaa; radiyal laahu 'anhum wa radoo 'anh; zaalikal fawzul 'azeem

Allah saith: This is a day in which their truthfulness profiteth the truthful, for theirs are Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they are secure for ever, Allah taking pleasure in them and they in Him. That is the great triumph.

فرمایا اللہ نے یہ دن ہے کہ کام آوے گا سچوں کے ان کا سچ [۲۷۶] انکے لئے ہیں باغ جن کے نیچے بہتی ہیں نہریں رہا کریں گے انہی میں ہمیشہ اللہ راضی ہوا ان سے اور وہ راضی ہوئے اس سے یہی ہے بڑی کامیابی [۲۷۷]

لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا فِيهِنَّ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۢ

Lillaahi mulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa feehinn; wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shain'in Qadeer
