Al-An'aam

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ وَٱلنُّورَ ۖ ثُمَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ

Alhamdu lillaahil lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa ja'alaz zulumaati wannoor; summal lazeena kafaroo bi Rabbihim ya'diloon

Praise be to Allah, Who hath created the heavens and the earth, and hath appointed darkness and light. Yet those who disbelieve ascribe rivals unto their Lord.

[۱] سب تعریفیں اللہ کےلئے ہیں جس نے پیدا کئے آسمان اور زمین اور بنایا اندھیرا اور اجالا پھر بھی یہ کافر اپنے رب کےساتھ اوروں کو برابر کئے دیتے ہیں [۲]

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن طِينٍۢ ثُمَّ قَضَىٰٓ أَجَلًۭا ۖ وَأَجَلٌۭ مُّسَمًّى عِندَهُۥ ۖ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَ

Huwal lazee khalaqakum min teenin summa qadaaa ajalanw wa ajalum musamman 'indahoo summa antum tamtaroon

He it is Who hath created you from clay, and hath decreed a term for you. A term is fixed with Him. Yet still ye doubt!

وہی ہے جس نے پیدا کیا تم کو مٹی سے پھر مقرر کر دیا ایک وقت اور ایک مدت مقرر ہے اللہ کے نزدیک پھر بھی تم شک کرتے ہو [۳]

وَهُوَ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهْرَكُمْ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُونَ

Wa Huwal laahu fissamaawaati wa fil ardi ya'lamu sirrakum wa jahrakum wa ya'lamu maa taksiboon

He is Allah in the heavens and in the earth. He knoweth both your secret and your utterance, and He knoweth what ye earn.

اور وہی ہے اللہ آسمانوں میں اور زمین میں [۴] جانتا ہے تمہارا چھپا اور کھلا اور جانتا ہے جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو [۵]

وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍۢ مِّنْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ

Wa maa taateehim min Aayatim min Aayaati Rabbihim illaa kaanoo 'anhaa mu'rideen

Never came there unto them a revelation of the revelations of Allah but they did turn away from it.

اور نہیں آتی انکے پاس کوئی نشانی ان کے رب کی نشانیوں میں سے مگر کرتے ہیں اس سے تغافل [۶]

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

Faqad kazzaboo bilhaqqi lammaa jaaa'ahum fasawfa yaateehim ambaaa'u maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon

And they denied the truth when it came unto them. But there will come unto them the tidings of that which they used to deride.

سو بیشک جھٹلایا انہوں نے حق کو جب ان تک پہنچا سو اب آئی جاتی ہے انکے آگے حقیقت اس بات کی جس پر ہنستے تھے [۷]

أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍۢ مَّكَّنَّٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًۭا وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنشَأْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا ءَاخَرِينَ

Alam yaraw kam ahlaknaa min qablihim min qarnim makkannaahum fil ardi maa lam numakkil lakum wa arsalnas samaaa'a 'alaihim midraaranw wa ja'alnal anhaara tajree min tahtihim fa ahlak naahum bizunoobihim wa anshaanaa mim ba'dihim qarnan aakhareen

See they not how many a generation We destroyed before them, whom We had established in the earth more firmly than We have established you, and We shed on them abundant showers from the sky, and made the rivers flow beneath them. Yet we destroyed them for their sins, and created after them another generation.

کیا دیکھتے نہیں کہ کتنی ہلاک کر دیں ہم نے ان سے پہلے امتیں جن کو جما دیا تھا ہم نے ملک میں اتنا کہ جتنا تم کو نہیں جمایا اور چھوڑ دیا ہم نے ان پر آسمان کو لگاتار برستا ہوا اور بنا دیں ہم نے نہریں بہتی ہوئی ان کے نیچے پھر ہلاک کیا ہم نے انکو انکے گناہوں پر اور پیدا کیا ہم نے ان کے بعد اور امتوں کو [۸]

وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ كِتَٰبًۭا فِى قِرْطَاسٍۢ فَلَمَسُوهُ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ لَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

Wa law nazzalnaa 'alaika Kitaaban fee qirtaasin falamasoohu bi aideehim laqaalal lazeena kafarooo in haazaaa illaa sihrum mubeen

Had we sent down unto thee (Muhammad) (actual) writing upon parchment, so that they could feel it with their hands, those who disbelieve would have said: This is naught else than mere magic.

اور اگر اتاریں ہم تجھ پر لکھا ہوا کاغذ میں پھر چھو لیویں وہ اس کو اپنے ہاتھوں سے البتہ کہیں گے کافر یہ نہیں ہے مگر صریح جادو [۹]

وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌۭ ۖ وَلَوْ أَنزَلْنَا مَلَكًۭا لَّقُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنظَرُونَ

Wa qaaloo law laaa unzila alaihi malakunw wa law anzalna malakal laqudiyal amru summa laa yunzaroon

They say: Why hath not an angel been sent down unto him? If We sent down an angel, then the matter would be judged; no further time would be allowed them (for reflection).

اور کہتے ہیں کیوں نہیں اترا اس پر کوئی فرشتہ [۱۰] اور اگر ہم اتاریں فرشتہ تو طے ہو جاوے قصہ پھر ان کو مہلت بھی نہ ملے [۱۱]

وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَٰهُ مَلَكًۭا لَّجَعَلْنَٰهُ رَجُلًۭا وَلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّا يَلْبِسُونَ

Wa law ja'alnaahu malakal laja'alnaahu rajulanw wa lalabasnaa 'alaihim maa yalbisoon

Had we appointed him (Our messenger) an angel, We assuredly had made him (as) a man (that he might speak to men); and (thus) obscured for them (the truth) they (now) obscure.

اور اگر ہم رسول بنا کر بھیجتے کسی فرشتہ کو تو وہ بھی آدمی ہی کی صورت میں ہوتا اور انکو اسی شبہہ میں ڈالتے جس میں اب پڑ رہے ہیں [۱۲]

وَلَقَدِ ٱسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِٱلَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

Wa laqadis tuhzi'a bi-Rusulim min qablika fahaaqa billazeena sakhiroo minhum maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon

Messengers (of Allah) have been derided before thee, but that whereat they scoffed surrounded such of them as did deride.

اور بلاشبہہ ہنسی کرتے رہے ہیں رسولوں سے تجھ سے پہلے پھرگھیر لیا ان سے ہنسی کرنے والوں کو اس چیز نے کہ جس پر ہنسا کرتے تھے [۱۳]

قُلْ سِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ ٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Qul seeroo fil ardi summan zuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mukazzibeen

Say (unto the disbelievers): Travel in the land, and see the nature of the consequence for the rejecters!

تو کہہ دے کہ سیر کرو ملک میں پھر دیکھو کیا انجام ہوا جھٹلانے والوں کا [۱۴]

قُل لِّمَن مَّا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ قُل لِّلَّهِ ۚ كَتَبَ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ ٱلرَّحْمَةَ ۚ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ۚ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Qul limam maa fis samaawaati wal ardi qul lillaah; kataba 'alaa nafsihir rahmah; la yajma 'annakum ilaa Yawmil Qiyaamati laa raiba feeh; allazeena khasirooo anfusahum fahum laa yu'minoon

Say: Unto whom belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth? Say: Unto Allah. He hath prescribed for Himself mercy, that He may bring you all together to the Day of Resurrection whereof there is no doubt. Those who ruin their souls will not believe.

پوچھ کہ کس کا ہے جو کچھ کہ ہے آسمانوں اور زمین میں کہہ دے اللہ کا ہے اس نے لکھی ہے اپنے ذمہ مہربانی البتہ تم کو اکٹھا کر دے گا قیامت کے دن تک کہ اس میں کچھ شک نہیں جو لوگ نقصان میں ڈال چکے اپنی جانوں کو وہی ایمان نہیں لاتے [۱۵]

۞ وَلَهُۥ مَا سَكَنَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Wa lahoo maa sakana fillaili wannahaar; wa Huwas Samee'ul Aleem

Unto Him belongeth whatsoever resteth in the night and the day. He is the Hearer, the Knower.

اور اللہ ہی کا ہے جو کچھ کہ آرام پکڑتا ہے رات میں اور دن میں اور وہی ہے سب کچھ سننے والا جاننے والا

قُلْ أَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّۭا فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَلَا يُطْعَمُ ۗ قُلْ إِنِّىٓ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ ۖ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

Qul aghairal laahi attakhizu waliyyan faatiris samaawaati wal ardi wa Huwa yut'imu wa laa yut'am; qul inneee umirtu an akoona awwala man salama wa laa takoonanna minal mushrikeen

Say: Shall I choose for a protecting friend other than Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, Who feedeth and is never fed? Say: I am ordered to be the first to surrender (unto Him). And be not thou (O Muhammad) of the idolaters.

تو کہہ دے کیا اور کسی کو بناؤں اپنا مددگار اللہ کے سوا جو بنانے والا ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کا [۱۶] اور وہ سب کو کھلاتا ہے اور اسکو کوئی نہیں کھلاتا [۱۷] کہہ دے مجھ کو حکم ہوا ہے کہ سب سے پہلے حکم مانوں [۱۸] اور تو ہرگز نہ ہو شرک والا

قُلْ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّى عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ

Qul inneee akhaafu in 'asaitu Rabbee 'azaaba Yawmin 'Azeem

Say: I fear, if I rebel against my Lord, the retribution of an Awful Day.

تو کہہ میں ڈرتا ہوں اگر نافرمانی کروں اپنے رب کی ایک بڑے دن کے عذاب سے [۱۹]

مَّن يُصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ فَقَدْ رَحِمَهُۥ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

Mai yusraf 'anhu Yawma'izin faqad rahimah; wa zaalikal fawzul mubeen

He from whom (such retribution) is averted on that day, (Allah) hath in truth had mercy on him. That will be the signal triumph.

جس پر سے ٹل گیا وہ عذاب اس دن تو اس پر رحم کر دیا اللہ نے اور یہی ہے بڑی کامیابی [۲۰]

وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّۢ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُۥٓ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ بِخَيْرٍۢ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ

Wa iny-yamsaskal laahu bidurrin falaaa kaashifa lahoo illaa Huwa wa iny-yamsaska bikhairin fa Huwa 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer

If Allah touch thee with affliction, there is none that can relieve therefrom save Him, and if He touch thee with good fortune (there is none that can impair it); for He is Able to do all things.

اور اگر پہنچاوے تجھ کو اللہ کچھ سختی تو کوئی اسکو دور کرنے والا نہیں سوا اسکے اور اگر تجھ کو پہنچاوےبھلائی تو وہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے

وَهُوَ ٱلْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِۦ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ

Wa Huwal gaahiru fawqa 'ibaadih; wa Huwal Hakeemul Khabeer

He is the Omnipotent over His slaves, and He is the Wise, the Knower.

اور اسی کا زور ہے اپنے بندوں پر اور وہی ہے بڑی حکمت والا سب کی خبر رکھنے والا [۲۱]

قُلْ أَىُّ شَىْءٍ أَكْبَرُ شَهَٰدَةًۭ ۖ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ ۖ شَهِيدٌۢ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ ۚ وَأُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لِأُنذِرَكُم بِهِۦ وَمَنۢ بَلَغَ ۚ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً أُخْرَىٰ ۚ قُل لَّآ أَشْهَدُ ۚ قُلْ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ وَإِنَّنِى بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ

Qul ayyu shai'in akbaru shahaadatan qulil laahu shaheedum bainee wa bainakum; wa oohiya ilaiya haazal Qur'aanu li unzirakum bihee wa mam balagh; a'innakum latashhadoona anna ma'al laahi aalihatan ukhraa; qul laaa ashhad; qul innamaa Huwa Ilaahunw Waahidunw wa innanee baree'um mimmaa tushrikoon

Say (O Muhammad): What thing is of most weight in testimony? Say: Allah is Witness between me and you. And this Qur'an hath been inspired in me, that I may warn therewith you and whomsoever it may reach. Do ye in sooth bear witness that there are gods beside Allah? Say: I bear no such witness. Say: He is only One Allah. Lo! I am innocent of that which ye associate (with Him).

تو پوچھ سب سے بڑا کون ہے کہہ دے اللہ گواہ ہے میرے اور تمہارے درمیان [۲۲] اور اترا ہے مجھ پر یہ قرآن تاکہ تم کو اس سے خبردار کر دوں اور جس کو یہ پہنچے کیا تم گواہی دیتے ہو کہ اللہ کے ساتھ معبود اور بھی ہیں تو کہہ دے میں تو گواہی نہ دوں گا کہہ دے وہی ہے معبود ایک اور میں بیزار ہوں تمہارے شرک سے [۲۳]

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَعْرِفُونَهُۥ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَآءَهُمُ ۘ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Allazeena aatainaa humul Kitaaba ya'rifoonahoo kamaa ya'rifoona abnaaa'ahum; allazeena khasirooo anfusahum fahum laa yu'minoon

Those unto whom We gave the Scripture recognise (this revelation) as they recognise their sons. Those who ruin their own souls will not believe.

جن کو ہم نے دی ہے کتاب وہ پہچانتے ہیں اسکو جیسے پہچانتے ہیں اپنے بیٹوں کو جو لوگ نقصان میں ڈال چکے اپنی جانوں کو وہی ایمان نہیں لاتے [۲۴]

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ

Wa man azlamu mim manif tara 'alal laahi kaziban aw kazzaba bi Aayaatih; innahoo laa yuflihuz zaalimoon

Who doth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie against Allah or denieth His revelations? Lo! the wrongdoers will not be successful.

اور اس سے زیادہ ظالم کون جو بہتان باندھے اللہ پر یا جھٹلا دے اسکی آیتوں کو بلاشک بھلائی نصیب نہیں ہوتی ظالموں کو [۲۵]

وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًۭا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوٓا۟ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآؤُكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ

Wa yawma nahshuruhum jamee'an summa naqoolu lillazeena ashrakooo ayna shurakaaa' ukumul lazeena kuntum taz'umoon

And on the day We gather them together We shall say unto those who ascribed partners (unto Allah): Where are (now) those partners of your make-believe?

اور جس دن ہم جمع کریں گے ان سب کو پھر کہیں گے ان لوگوں کو جنہوں نے شرک کیا تھا کہاں ہیں شریک تمہارے جن کا تم کو دعویٰ تھا [۲۶]

ثُمَّ لَمْ تَكُن فِتْنَتُهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ وَٱللَّهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِينَ

Summa lam takun fitnatuhum illaaa an qaaloo wallaahi Rabbinaa maa kunnaa mushrikeen

Then will they have no contention save that they will say: By Allah, our Lord, we never were idolaters.

پھر نہ رہے گا انکے پاس کوئی فریب مگر یہی کہ کہیں گے قسم ہے اللہ کی جو ہمارا رب ہے ہم نہ تھے شرک کرنے والے [۲۷]

ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَذَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ ۚ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ

Unzur kaifa kazaboo 'alaaa anfusihim, wa dalla 'anhum maa kaanoo yaftaroon

See how they lie against themselves, and (how) the thing which they devised hath failed them!

دیکھو تو کیسا جھوٹ بولے اپنے اوپر اور کھوئی گئیں ان سے وہ باتیں جو بنایا کرتے تھے [۲۸]

وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًۭا ۚ وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كُلَّ ءَايَةٍۢ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهَا ۚ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُوكَ يُجَٰدِلُونَكَ يَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Wa minhum mai yastami'u ilaika wa ja'alnaa 'alaa quloobihim akinnatan ai yafqahoohu wa feee aazaanihim waqraa; wa ai yaraw kulla Aayatil laa yu'minoo bihaa; hattaaa izaa jaaa'oka yujaadiloonaka yaqoolul lazeena kafaroo in haazaa illaaa asaateerul awwaleen

Of them are some who listen unto thee, but We have placed upon their hearts veils, lest they should understand, and in their ears a deafness. If they saw every token they would not believe therein; to the point that, when they come unto thee to argue with thee, the disbelievers say: This is naught else than fables of the men of old.

اور بعضے ان میں کان لگائے رہتے ہیں تیری طرف اور ہم نے ان کے دلوں پر ڈال رکھے ہیں پردے تاکہ اس کو نہ سمجھیں اور رکھ دیا انکےکانوں میں بوجھ اور اگر دیکھ لیں تمام نشانیاں تو بھی ایمان نہ لاویں ان پر [۲۹] یہاں تک کہ جب آتے ہیں تیرے پاس تجھ سےجھگڑنے کو تو کہتے ہیں وہ کافر نہیں ہے یہ مگر کہانیاں پہلے لوگوں کی

وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنْـَٔوْنَ عَنْهُ ۖ وَإِن يُهْلِكُونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ

Wa hum yanhawna 'anhu wa yan'awna 'anhu wa iny yuhlikoona illaa anfusahum wa maa yash'uroon

And they forbid (men) from it and avoid it, and they ruin none save themselves, though they perceive not.

اور یہ لوگ روکتے ہیں اس سے اور بھاگتے ہیں اس سے اور نہیں ہلاک کرتے مگر اپنے آپ کو اور نہیں سمجھتے [۳۰]

وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذْ وُقِفُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ فَقَالُوا۟ يَٰلَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Wa law taraaa iz wauqifoo 'alan Naari faqaaloo yaa laitanaa nuraddu wa laa nukaz ziba bi Aayaati Rabbinaa wa nakoona minal mu'mineen

If thou couldst see when they are set before the Fire and say: Oh, would that we might return! Then would we not deny the revelations of our Lord but we would be of the believers!

اور اگر تو دیکھے جس وقت کہ کھڑے کئے جاویں گے وہ دوزخ پر پس کہیں گے اے کاش ہم پھر بھیجدئے جاویں اور ہم نہ جھٹلائیں اپنے رب کی آیتوں کو اور ہو جاویں ہم ایمان والوں میں [۳۱]

بَلْ بَدَا لَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُخْفُونَ مِن قَبْلُ ۖ وَلَوْ رُدُّوا۟ لَعَادُوا۟ لِمَا نُهُوا۟ عَنْهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ

Bal badaa lahum maa kaanoo yukhfoona min qablu wa law ruddoo la'aadoo limaa nuhoo 'anhu wa innahum lakaaziboon

Nay, but that hath become clear unto them which before they used to hide. And if they were sent back they would return unto that which they are forbidden. Lo! they are liars.

کوئی نہیں بلکہ ظاہر ہو گیا جو چھپاتے تھے پہلے [۳۲] اور اگر پھر بھیجے جاویں تو پھر بھی وہی کام کریں جس سے منع کئے گئے تھے اور وہ بیشک جھوٹے ہیں [۳۳]

وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ

Wa qaalooo in hiya illaa hayaatunad dunyaa wa maa nahnu bimab'ooseen

And they say: There is naught save our life of the world, and we shall not be raised (again).

اور کہتے ہیں ہمارےلئے زندگی نہیں مگر یہی دنیا کی اور ہم کو پھر نہیں زندہ ہونا [۳۴]

وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذْ وُقِفُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ هَٰذَا بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّنَا ۚ قَالَ فَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ

Wa law taraa iz wuqifoo 'alaa Rabbihim; qaala alaisa haazaa bilhaqq; qaaloo balaa wa Rabbinaa; qaala fazooqul 'azaaba bimaa kuntum takfuroon

If thou couldst see when they are set before their Lord! He will say: Is not this real? They will say: Yea, verily, by our Lord! He will say: Taste now the retribution for that ye used to disbelieve.

اور کاش کہ تو دیکھے جس وقت وہ کھڑے کئے جاویں گے اپنے رب کے سامنے فرمائے گا کیا یہ سچ نہیں کہیں گے کیوں نہیں قسم ہے اپنے رب کی فرمائے گا تو چکھو عذاب بدلے میں اپنے کفر کے [۳۵]

قَدْ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِلِقَآءِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةًۭ قَالُوا۟ يَٰحَسْرَتَنَا عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِيهَا وَهُمْ يَحْمِلُونَ أَوْزَارَهُمْ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِمْ ۚ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ

Qad khasiral lazeena kazzaboo biliqaaa'il laahi hattaaa izaa jaaa'at humus Saa'atu baghtan qaaloo yaa hasratanaa 'alaa maa farratnaa feehaa wa hum yahmiloona awzaarahum 'alaa zuhoorihim; alaa saaa'a ma yaziroon

They indeed are losers who deny their meeting with Allah until, when the Hour cometh on them suddenly, they cry: Alas for us, that we neglected it! They bear upon their backs their burdens. Ah, evil is that which they bear!

تباہ ہوئے وہ لوگ جنہوں نے جھوٹ جانا ملنا اللہ کا یہاں تک کہ جب آ پہنچے گی ان پر قیامت اچانک تو کہیں گے اے افسوس کیسی کوتاہی ہم نے اس میں کی اور وہ اٹھاویں گے اپنے بوجھ اپنی پیٹھوں پر خبردار ہو جاؤ کہ برا بوجھ ہے جس کو وہ اٹھاویں گے [۳۶]

وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا لَعِبٌۭ وَلَهْوٌۭ ۖ وَلَلدَّارُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

Wa mal hayaatud dunyaaa illaa la'ibunw wa lahwunw wa lad Daarul Aakhiratu kahyrul lillazeena yattaqoon; afalaa ta'qiloon

Naught is the life of the world save a pastime and a sport. Better far is the abode of the Hereafter for those who keep their duty (to Allah). Have ye then no sense?

اور نہیں ہے زندگانی دنیا کی مگر کھیل اور جی بھلانا اور آخرت کا گھر بہتر ہے پرہیزگاروں کے لئے کیا تم نہیں سمجھتے [۳۷]

قَدْ نَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيَحْزُنُكَ ٱلَّذِى يَقُولُونَ ۖ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يُكَذِّبُونَكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ

Qad na'lamu innahoo layahzunukal lazee yaqooloona fa innahum laa yukazziboonaka wa laakinnaz zaalimeena bi Aayaatil laahi yajhadoon

We know well how their talk grieveth thee, though in truth they deny not thee (Muhammad) but evil-doers flout the revelations of Allah.

ہم کو معلوم ہے کہ تجھ کو غم میں ڈالتی ہیں ان کی باتیں سو وہ تجھ کو نہیں جھٹلاتے لیکن یہ ظالم تو اللہ کی آیتوں کا انکار کرتے ہیں

وَلَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌۭ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَصَبَرُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا كُذِّبُوا۟ وَأُوذُوا۟ حَتَّىٰٓ أَتَىٰهُمْ نَصْرُنَا ۚ وَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَكَ مِن نَّبَإِى۟ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

Wa laqad kuzzibat Rusulum min qablika fasabaroo 'alaa maa kuzziboo wa oozoo hattaaa ataahum nasrunaa; wa laa mubaddila li Kalimaatil laah; wa laqad jaaa'aka min naba'il mursaleen

Messengers indeed have been denied before thee, and they were patient under the denial and the persecution till Our succour reached them. There is none to alter the decisions of Allah. Already there hath reached thee (somewhat) of the tidings of the messengers (We sent before).

اور جھٹلائے گئے ہیں بہت سے رسول تجھ سے پہلے پس صبر کرتے رہے جھٹلانے پر اور ایذا پر یہاں تک کہ پہنچی ان کو مدد ہماری اور کوئی نہیں بدل سکتا للہ کی باتیں اور تجھ کو پہنچ چکے ہیں کچھ حالات رسولوں کے [۳۸]

وَإِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكَ إِعْرَاضُهُمْ فَإِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتَ أَن تَبْتَغِىَ نَفَقًۭا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَوْ سُلَّمًۭا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَأْتِيَهُم بِـَٔايَةٍۢ ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَمَعَهُمْ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ ۚ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ

Wa in kaana kabura 'alaika i'raaduhum fa inistata'ta an tabtaghiya nafaqan fil ardi aw sullaman fis samaaa'i fataa tiyahum bi Aayah; wa law shaaa'al laahu lajama'ahum 'alal hudaa; falaa takoonanna minal jaahileen

And if their aversion is grievous unto thee, then, if thou canst, seek a way down into the earth or a ladder unto the sky that thou mayst bring unto them a portent (to convince them all)! - If Allah willed, He could have brought them all together to the guidance - So be not thou among the foolish ones.

اور اگر تجھ پر گراں ہے ان کا منہ پھیرنا تو اگر تجھ سے ہو سکے کہ ڈھونڈ نکالے کوئی سرنگ زمین میں یا کوئی سیڑھی آسمان میں پھر لاوے انکے پاس ایک معجزہ اور اگر اللہ چاہتا تو جمع کر دیتا سب کو سیدھی راہ پر سو تو مت ہو نادانوں میں [۳۹]

۞ إِنَّمَا يَسْتَجِيبُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْمَعُونَ ۘ وَٱلْمَوْتَىٰ يَبْعَثُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ

Innamaa yastajeebul lazeena yasma'oon; walmawtaa yab'asuhumul laahu summa ilaihi yurja'oon

Only those can accept who hear. As for the dead, Allah will raise them up; then unto Him they will be returned.

مانتے وہی ہیں جو سنتے ہیں اور مردوں کو زندہ کرے گا اللہ پھر اسکی طرف لائے جاویں گے [۴۰]

وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ ۚ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُنَزِّلَ ءَايَةًۭ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Wa qaaloo law laa nuzzila 'alaihi Aayatum mir Rabbih; qul innal laaha qaadirun 'alaaa ai yunazzila Aayatanw wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya'lamoon

They say: Why hath no portent been sent down upon him from his Lord? Say: Lo! Allah is Able to send down a portent. But most of them know not.

اور کہتےہیں کیوں نہیں اتری اس پر کوئی نشانی اسکے رب کی طرف سے [۴۱] کہہ دے کہ اللہ کو قدرت ہے اس بات پر کہ اتارے نشانی لیکن ان میں اکثر نہیں جانتے [۴۲]

وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٍۢ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا طَٰٓئِرٍۢ يَطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلَّآ أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُم ۚ مَّا فَرَّطْنَا فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مِن شَىْءٍۢ ۚ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُونَ

Wa maa min daaabbatin fil ardi wa laa taaa'iriny yateeru bijanaahaihi illaaa umamun amsaalukum; maa farratnaa fil Kitaabi min shai'in summa ilaa Rabbihim yuhsharoon

There is not an animal in the earth, nor a flying creature flying on two wings, but they are peoples like unto you. We have neglected nothing in the Book (of Our decrees). Then unto their Lord they will be gathered.

اور نہیں ہے کوئی چلنے والا زمین میں اور نہ کوئی پرندہ کہ اڑتا ہے اپنے دو بازوؤں سے مگر ہر ایک امت ہے تمہاری طرح ہم نےنہیں چھوڑی لکھنے میں کوئی چیز پھر سب اپنے رب کے سامنے جمع ہوں گے [۴۳]

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا صُمٌّۭ وَبُكْمٌۭ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ ۗ مَن يَشَإِ ٱللَّهُ يُضْلِلْهُ وَمَن يَشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ

Wallazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa summunw wa bukmun fiz zulumaat; mai yasha il laahu yudlilh; wa mai yashaa yaj'alhu 'alaa Siraatim Mustaqeem

Those who deny Our revelations are deaf and dumb in darkness. Whom Allah will sendeth astray, and whom He will He placeth on a straight path.

اور جو جھٹلاتے ہیں ہماری آیتوں کو وہ بہرے اور گونگے ہیں اندھیروں میں [۴۴] جسکو چاہے اللہ گمراہ کرے [۴۵] اور جس کو چاہے ڈال دے سیدھی راہ پر

قُلْ أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَىٰكُمْ عَذَابُ ٱللَّهِ أَوْ أَتَتْكُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ أَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ تَدْعُونَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

Qaul ara'aytakum in ataakum 'azaabul laahi aw atatkumus Saa'atu a-ghairal laahi tad'oona in kuntum saadiqeen

Say: Can ye see yourselves, if the punishment of Allah come upon you or the Hour come upon you, (calling upon other than Allah)? Do ye then call (for help) to any other than Allah? (Answer that) if ye are truthful.

تو کہہ دیکھو تو اگر آوے تم پر عذاب اللہ کا یا آوے تم پر قیامت کیا اللہ کے سوا کسی اور کو پکارو گے بتاؤ اگر تم سچے ہو

بَلْ إِيَّاهُ تَدْعُونَ فَيَكْشِفُ مَا تَدْعُونَ إِلَيْهِ إِن شَآءَ وَتَنسَوْنَ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ

Bal iyyaahu tad'oona fa yakshifu maa tad'oona ilaihi in shaaa'a wa tansawna maa tushrikoon

Nay, but unto Him ye call, and He removeth that because of which ye call unto Him, if He will, and ye forget whatever partners ye ascribed unto Him.

بلکہ اسی کو پکارتے ہو پھر دور کر دیتا ہے اس مصیبت کو جس کے لئے اسکو پکارتے ہو اگر چاہتا ہے اور تم بھول جاتے ہو جنکو شریک کرتے تھے [۴۶]

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم بِٱلْبَأْسَآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ

Wa laqad arsalnaaa ilaaa umamim min qablika fa akhaznaahum bilbaasaaa'i waddarraaa'i la'allahum yata darra'oon

We have sent already unto peoples that were before thee, and We visited them with tribulation and adversity, in order that they might grow humble.

اور ہم نے رسول بھیجے تھے بہت سی امتوں پر تجھ سے پہلے پھر ان کو پکڑا ہم نے سختی میں اور تکلیف میں تاکہ وہ گڑگڑاویں

فَلَوْلَآ إِذْ جَآءَهُم بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا۟ وَلَٰكِن قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Falaw laaa iz jaaa'ahum baasunaa tadarra'oo wa laakin qasat quloobuhum wa zaiyana lahumush Shaitaanu maa kaanoo ya'maloon

If only, when Our disaster came on them, they had been humble! But their hearts were hardened and the devil made all that they used to do seem fair unto them!

پھر کیوں نہ گڑگڑائے جب آیا ان پر عذاب ہمارا لیکن سخت ہو گئے دل انکے اور بھلے کر دکھلائے ان کو شیطان نے جو کام وہ کر رہے تھے

فَلَمَّا نَسُوا۟ مَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَٰبَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَرِحُوا۟ بِمَآ أُوتُوٓا۟ أَخَذْنَٰهُم بَغْتَةًۭ فَإِذَا هُم مُّبْلِسُونَ

Falammaa nasoo maa zukkiroo bihee fatahnaa 'alaihim abwaaba kulli shai'in hattaaa izaa farihoo bimaaa ootooo akhaznaahum baghtatan fa izaa hum mmublisoon

Then, when they forgot that whereof they had been reminded, We opened unto them the gates of all things till, even as they were rejoicing in that which they were given, We seized them unawares, and lo! they were dumbfounded.

پھر جب وہ بھول گئے اس نصیحت کو جو انکو کی گئ تھی کھول دیے ہم نے ان پر دروازے ہر چیز کے یہاں تک کہ جب وہ خوش ہوئے ان چیزوں پر جو انکو دی گئیں پکڑ لیا ہم نے انکو اچانک پس اس وقت وہ رہ گئے نا امید [۴۷]

فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ۚ وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Faquti'a daabirul qawmil lazeena zalamoo; walhamdu lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen

So of the people who did wrong the last remnant was cut off. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds!

پھر کٹ گئ جڑ ان ظالموں کی اور سب تعریفیں اللہ ہی کے لئے ہیں جو پالنے والا ہے سارے جہان کا [۴۸]

قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ سَمْعَكُمْ وَأَبْصَٰرَكُمْ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُم مَّنْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُم بِهِ ۗ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ ثُمَّ هُمْ يَصْدِفُونَ

Qul ara'aitum in akhazal laahu sam'akum wa absaarakum wa khatama 'alaa quloobikum man ilaahun ghairul laahi yaateekum bih; unzur kaifa nusarriful Aayaati summa hum yasdifoon

Say: Have ye imagined, if Allah should take away your hearing and your sight and seal your hearts, Who is the Allah Who could restore it to you save Allah? See how We display the revelations unto them! Yet still they turn away.

تو کہہ دیکھو تو اگر چھین لے اللہ تمہارےکان اور آنکھیں اور مہر کر دے تمہارے دلوں پر [۴۹] تو کون ایسا رب ہے اللہ کے سوا جو تم کو یہ چیزیں لا دیوے [۵۰] دیکھ ہم کیونکر طرح طرح سے بیان کرتے ہیں باتیں پھر بھی وہ کنارہ کرتے ہیں

قُلْ أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَىٰكُمْ عَذَابُ ٱللَّهِ بَغْتَةً أَوْ جَهْرَةً هَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّا ٱلْقَوْمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ

Qul ara'aitakum in ataakum 'azaabul laahi baghtatan aw jahratan hal yuhlaku illal qawmuz zaalimoon

Say: Can ye see yourselves, if the punishment of Allah come upon you unawares or openly? Would any perish save wrongdoing folk?

تو کہہ دیکھو تو اگر آوے تم پر عذاب اللہ کا اچانک [۵۱] یا ظاہر ہو کر تو کون ہلاک ہو گا ظالم لوگوں کےسوا [۵۲]

وَمَا نُرْسِلُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ ۖ فَمَنْ ءَامَنَ وَأَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

Wa maa nursilul mursaleena illaa mubashshireena wa munzireena faman aamana wa aslaha falaa khawfun 'alaihim wa laa hum yahzanoon

We send not the messengers save as bearers of good news and warners. Whoso believeth and doeth right, there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.

اور ہم رسول نہیں بھیجتے مگر خوشی اور ڈر سنانے کو پھر جو کوئی ایمان لایا اور سنور گیا تو نہ ڈر ہے ان پر اور نہ وہ غمگین ہوں

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَمَسُّهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْسُقُونَ

Wallazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa yamassuhumul 'azaabu bimaa kaanoo yafsuqoon

But as for those who deny Our revelations, torment will afflict them for that they used to disobey.

اور جنہوں نے جھٹلایا ہماری آیتوں کو انکو پہنچے گا عذاب اس لئے کہ وہ نافرمانی کرتے تھے [۵۳]

قُل لَّآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِى خَزَآئِنُ ٱللَّهِ وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ ٱلْغَيْبَ وَلَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ إِنِّى مَلَكٌ ۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ ۚ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْبَصِيرُ ۚ أَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُونَ

Qul laaa aqoolu lakum 'indee khazaaa'inul laahi wa laaa a'lamul ghaiba wa laaa aqoolu lakum innee malakun in attabi'u illaa maa yoohaaa ilaiy; qul hal yastawil a'maa walbaseer; afalaa tatafakkaroon

Say (O Muhammad, to the disbelievers): I say not unto you (that) I possess the treasures of Allah, nor that I have knowledge of the Unseen; and I say not unto you: Lo! I am an angel. I follow only that which is inspired in me. Say: Are the blind man and the seer equal? Will ye not then take thought?

تو کہہ میں نہیں کہتا تم سے کہ میرے پاس ہیں خزانے اللہ کے اور نہ میں جانوں غیب کی بات اور نہ میں کہوں تم سے کہ میں فرشتہ ہوں [۵۴] میں تو اسی پر چلتا ہوں جو میرے پاس اللہ کا حکم آتا ہے تو کہہ دے کب برابر ہو سکتا ہے اندھا اور دیکھنے والا سو کیا تم غور نہیں کرتے [۵۵]

وَأَنذِرْ بِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَن يُحْشَرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ۙ لَيْسَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ وَلِىٌّۭ وَلَا شَفِيعٌۭ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ

Wa anzir bihil lazeena yakhaafoona ai yuhsharooo ilaa Rabbihim laisa lahum min doonihee waliyyunw wa laa shafee'ul la'allahum yattaqoon

Warn hereby those who fear (because they know) that they will be gathered unto their Lord, for whom there is no protecting ally nor intercessor beside Him, that they may ward off (evil).

اور خبردار کر دے اس قرآن سے ان لوگوں کو جنکو ڈر ہے اسکا کہ وہ جمع ہونگے اپنے رب کے سامنے اس طرح پر کہ اللہ کے سوا نہ کوئی انکا حمایتی ہو گا اور نہ سفارش کرنے والا [۵۶] تاکہ وہ بچتے رہیں [۵۷]

وَلَا تَطْرُدِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَدَوٰةِ وَٱلْعَشِىِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُۥ ۖ مَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍۢ وَمَا مِنْ حِسَابِكَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن شَىْءٍۢ فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Wa laa tatrudil lazeena yad'oona Rabbahum bilghadaati wal 'ashiyyi yureedoona Wajhahoo ma 'alaika min hisaabihim min shai'inw wa maa min hisaabika 'alaihim min shai'in fatatrudahum fatakoona minaz zaalimeen

Repel not those who call upon their Lord at morn and evening, seeking His Countenance. Thou art not accountable for them in aught, nor are they accountable for thee in aught, that thou shouldst repel them and be of the wrong-doers.

اور مت دور کر ان لوگوں کو جو پکارتے ہیں اپنے رب کو صبح اور شام اور چاہتے ہیں اسی کی رضا [۵۸] تجھ پر نہیں ہے ان کے حساب میں سے کچھ اور نہ تیرے حساب میں سے ان پر ہے کچھ کہ تو ان کو دور کرنے لگے پس ہو جاوے گا تو بے انصافوں میں [۵۹]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍۢ لِّيَقُولُوٓا۟ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنۢ بَيْنِنَآ ۗ أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ

Wa kazaalika fatannaa ba'dahum biba'dil liyaqoolooo ahaaa'ulaaa'i mannal laahu 'alaihim mim baininaa; alaisal laahu bi-a'lama bish shaakireen

And even so do We try some of them by others, that they say: Are these they whom Allah favoureth among us? Is not Allah best Aware of the thanksgivers?

اور اسی طرح ہم نے آزمایا ہے بعضے لوگوں کو بعضوں سے تاکہ کہیں کیا یہی لوگ ہیں جن پر اللہ نے فضل کیا ہم سب میں کیا نہیں ہے اللہ خوب جاننے والا شکر کرنے والوں کو [۶۰]

وَإِذَا جَآءَكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَقُلْ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ ٱلرَّحْمَةَ ۖ أَنَّهُۥ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنكُمْ سُوٓءًۢا بِجَهَٰلَةٍۢ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَنَّهُۥ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Wa izaa jaaa'akal lazeena yu'minoona bi Aayaatinaa faqul salaamun 'alaikum kataba Rabbukum 'alaa nafsihir rahmata annahoo man 'amila minkum sooo'am bijahaalatin summa taaba mim ba'dihee wa aslaha fa annahoo Ghafoorur Raheem

And when those who believe in Our revelations come unto thee, say: Peace be unto you! Your Lord hath prescribed for Himself mercy, that whoso of you doeth evil through ignorance and repenteth afterward thereof and doeth right, (for him) lo! He is Forgiving, Merciful.

اور جب آویں تیرے پاس ہماری آیتوں کے ماننے والے تو کہہ دے تو سلام ہے تم پر لکھ لیا ہے تمہارے رب نے اپنے اوپر رحمت کو کہ جو کوئی کرے تم میں سے برائی ناواقفیت سے پھر اس کے بعد توبہ کر لے اور نیک ہو جائے تو بات یہ ہےکہ وہ ہے بخشنے والا مہربان

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ سَبِيلُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

Wa kazaalika nufassilul Aayaati wa litastabeena sabeelul mujrimeen

Thus do We expound the revelations that the way of the unrighteous may be manifest.

اور اسی طرح ہم تفصیل سے بیان کرتے ہیں آیتوں کو اور تاکہ کھل جاوےطریقہ گنہگاروں کا [۶۱]

قُلْ إِنِّى نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قُل لَّآ أَتَّبِعُ أَهْوَآءَكُمْ ۙ قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ إِذًۭا وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ

Qul innee nuheetu an a'budal lazeena tad'oona min doonil laah; qul laaa attabi'u ahwaaa'akum qad dalaltu izanw wa maaa ana minal muhtadeen

Say: I am forbidden to worship those on whom ye call instead of Allah. Say: I will not follow your desires, for then should I go astray and I should not be of the rightly guided.

تو کہہ دے مجھ کو روکا گیا ہے اس سے کہ بندگی کروں انکی جن کو تم پکارتے ہو اللہ کے سوا تو کہہ میں نہیں چلتا تمہاری خوشی پر بیشک اب تو میں بہک جاؤں گا اور نہ رہوں گا ہدایت پانے والوں میں [۶۲]

قُلْ إِنِّى عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّى وَكَذَّبْتُم بِهِۦ ۚ مَا عِندِى مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنِ ٱلْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ ۖ يَقُصُّ ٱلْحَقَّ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلْفَٰصِلِينَ

Qul innee 'alaa baiyinatim mir Rabbee wa kazzabtum bih; maa 'indee maa tasta'jiloona bih; inil hukmu illaa lillaahi yaqussul haqqa wa Huwa khairul faasileen

Say: I am (relying) on clear proof from my Lord, while ye deny Him. I have not that for which ye are impatient. The decision is for Allah only. He telleth the truth and He is the Best of Deciders.

تو کہہ دے کہ مجھ کو شہادت پہنچی میرے رب کی اور تم نے اسکو جھٹلایا [۶۳] میرے پاس نہیں جس چیز کی تم جلدی کر رہے ہو [۶۴] حکم کسی کا نہیں سوا اللہ کے بیان کرتا ہے حق بات اور وہ سب سے اچھا فیصلہ کرنے والا ہے

قُل لَّوْ أَنَّ عِندِى مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦ لَقُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Qul law anna 'indee maa tasta'jiloona bihee laqudiyal amru bainee wa bainakum; wallaahu a'lamu bizzaalimeen

Say: If I had that for which ye are impatient, then would the case (ere this) have been decided between me and you. Allah is Best Aware of the wrong-doers.

تو کہہ اگر ہوتی میرے پاس وہ چیز جس کی تم جلدی کر رہے ہو تو طے ہو چکا ہوتا جھگڑا درمیان میرے اور درمیان تمہارے [۶۵] اور اللہ خوب جانتا ہے ظالموں کو

۞ وَعِندَهُۥ مَفَاتِحُ ٱلْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَآ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ ۚ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِن وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةٍۢ فِى ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا رَطْبٍۢ وَلَا يَابِسٍ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

Wa 'indahoo mafaatihul ghaibi laa ya'lamuhaaa illaa Hoo; wa ya'lamu maa fil barri walbahr; wa maa tasqutu minw waraqatin illaa ya'lamuhaa wa laa habbatin fee zulumaatil ardi wa laa ratbinw wa laa yaabisin illaa fee Kitaabim Mubeen

And with Him are the keys of the Invisible. None but He knoweth them. And He knoweth what is in the land and the sea. Not a leaf falleth but He knoweth it, not a grain amid the darkness of the earth, naught of wet or dry but (it is noted) in a clear record.

اور اُسی کے پاس کنجیاں ہیں غیب کی کہ انکو کوئی نہیں جانتا اسکے سوا اور وہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ جنگل اور دریا میں ہے اور نہیں جھڑتا کوئی پتا مگر وہ جانتا ہے اسکو اور نہیں گرتا کوئی دانہ زمین کے اندھیروں میں اور نہ کوئی ہری چیز اور نہ کوئی سوکھی چیز مگر وہ سب کتاب مبین میں ہے [۶۶]

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يَتَوَفَّىٰكُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُم بِٱلنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ لِيُقْضَىٰٓ أَجَلٌۭ مُّسَمًّۭى ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Wa Huwal lazee yatawaf faakum billaili wa ya'lamu maa jarahtum binnahaari summa yab'asukum fee liyuqdaaa ajalum musamman summa ilaihi marji'ukum summa yunabbi 'ukum bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

He it is Who gathereth you at night and knoweth that which ye commit by day. Then He raiseth you again to life therein, that the term appointed (for you) may be accomplished. And afterward unto Him is your return. Then He will proclaim unto you what ye used to do.

اور وہ ہی ہے کہ قبضہ میں لے لیتا ہے تم کو رات میں [۶۷] اور جانتا ہے جو کچھ کہ تم کر چکے ہو دن میں [۶۸] پھر تم کو اٹھا دیتا ہے اُس میں تاکہ پورا ہو وہ وعدہ جو مقرر ہو چکا ہے [۶۹] پھر اسی کی طرف تم لوٹائے جاؤ گے پھر خبر دے گا تم کو اس کی جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو [۷۰]

وَهُوَ ٱلْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِۦ ۖ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفَظَةً حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لَا يُفَرِّطُونَ

Wa huwal qaahiru fawqa 'ibaadihee wa yursilu 'alaikum hafazatan hattaaa izaa jaaa'a ahadakumul mawtu tawaffathu rusulunaa wa hum laa yufarritoon

He is the Omnipotent over His slaves. He sendeth guardians over you until, when death cometh unto one of you, Our messengers receive him, and they neglect not.

اور وہی غالب ہے اپنے بندوں پر اور بھیجتا ہے تم پر نگہبان [۷۱] یہاں تک کہ جب آپہنچے تم میں سے کسی کو موت تو قبضہ میں لے لیتے ہیں اسکو ہمارے بھیجے ہوئےفرشتے [۷۲] اور وہ کوتاہی نہیں کرتے [۷۳]

ثُمَّ رُدُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَوْلَىٰهُمُ ٱلْحَقِّ ۚ أَلَا لَهُ ٱلْحُكْمُ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ ٱلْحَٰسِبِينَ

Summa ruddooo ilallaahi mawlaahumul haqq; alaa lahul hukmu wa Huwa asra'ul haasibeen

Then are they restored unto Allah, their Lord, the Just. Surely His is the judgment. And He is the most swift of reckoners.

پھر پہنچائے جاویں گے اللہ کی طرف جو مالک انکا ہے سچا سن رکھو حکم اسی کا ہے اور وہ بہت جلد حساب لینے والا ہے [۷۴]

قُلْ مَن يُنَجِّيكُم مِّن ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ تَدْعُونَهُۥ تَضَرُّعًۭا وَخُفْيَةًۭ لَّئِنْ أَنجَىٰنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ

Qul mai yunajjeekum min zulumaatil barri walbahri tad'oonahoo tadarru'anw wa khufyatann la'in anjaanaa min haazihee lanakoonana minash shaakireen

Say: Who delivereth you from the darkness of the land and the sea? Ye call upon Him humbly and in secret, (saying): If we are delivered from this (fear) we truly will be of the thankful.

تو کہہ کون تم کو بچا لاتا ہے جنگل کے اندھیروں سے اور دریا کے اندھیروں سے اس وقت میں کہ پکارتے ہو تم اسکو گڑا گڑا کر اور چپکے سے کہ اگر ہم کو بچا لیوے اس بلا سے تو البتہ ہم ضرور احسان مانیں گے

قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُنَجِّيكُم مِّنْهَا وَمِن كُلِّ كَرْبٍۢ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ

Qulil laahu yunajjjeekum minhaa wa min kulli karbin summa antum tushrikoon

Say: Allah delivereth you from this and from all affliction. Yet ye attribute partners unto Him.

تو کہہ دے اللہ تم کو بچاتا ہے اس سے اور ہر سختی سے پھر بھی تم شرک کرتے ہو [۷۵]

قُلْ هُوَ ٱلْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًۭا مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًۭا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُم بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ ۗ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ

Qul huwal Qaadiru 'alaaa ai yab'asa 'alaikum 'azaabam min fawqikum aw min tahti arjulikum aw yalbisakum shiya'anw wa yuzeeqa ba'dakum baasa ba'd; unzur kaifa nusarriful Aayaati la'allahum yafqahoon

Say: He is able to send punishment upon you from above you or from beneath your feet, or to bewilder you with dissension and make you taste the tyranny one of another. See how We display the revelations so that they may understand.

تو کہہ اسی کو قدرت ہے اس پر کہ بھیجے تم پر عذاب [۷۶] اوپر سے یا تمہارے پاؤں کے نیچے سے یا بھڑا دے تم کو مختلف فرقے کر کے اور چکھاوے ایک کو لڑائی ایک کی [۷۷] دیکھ کس کس طرح ہم بیان کرتے ہیں آیتوں کو تاکہ وہ سمجھ جاویں [۷۸]

وَكَذَّبَ بِهِۦ قَوْمُكَ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ ۚ قُل لَّسْتُ عَلَيْكُم بِوَكِيلٍۢ

Wa kaz zaba bihee qawmuka wa huwal haqq; qul lastu'alaikum biwakeel

Thy people (O Muhammad) have denied it, though it is the Truth. Say: I am not put in charge of you.

اور اسکو جھوٹ بتلایا تیری قوم نے حالانکہ وہ حق ہے تو کہہ دے کہ میں نہیں تم پر داروغہ

لِّكُلِّ نَبَإٍۢ مُّسْتَقَرٌّۭ ۚ وَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ

Likulli naba im mustaqar runw wa sawfa ta'lamoon

For every announcement there is a term, and ye will come to know.

ہر ایک خبر کا ایک وقت مقرر ہے اور قریب ہے کہ اس کو جان لو گے [۷۹]

وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخُوضُونَ فِىٓ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُوا۟ فِى حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِۦ ۚ وَإِمَّا يُنسِيَنَّكَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ فَلَا تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Wa izaa ra aital lazeena yakhoodoona feee Aayaatinaa fa a'rid 'anhum hattaa yakkhoodoo fee hadeesin ghairih; wa immaa yunsiyannakash Shaitaanu falaa taq'ud ba'dazzikraa ma'al qawmiz zaalimeen

And when thou seest those who meddle with Our revelations, withdraw from them until they meddle with another topic. And if the devil cause thee to forget, sit not, after the remembrance, with the congregation of wrong-doers.

اور جب تو دیکھے ان لوگوں کہ کہ جھگڑتے ہیں ہماری آیتوں میں تو ان سے کنارہ کر یہاں تک کہ مشغول ہو جاویں کسی اور بات میں اور اگر بھلا دے تجھ کو شیطان تو مت بیٹھ یاد آجانے کے بعد ظالموں کےساتھ [۸۰]

وَمَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍۢ وَلَٰكِن ذِكْرَىٰ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ

Wa maa 'alal lazeena yattaqoona min hisaabihim min shai'inw wa laakin zikraa la'allahum yattaqoon

Those who ward off (evil) are not accountable for them in aught, but the Reminder (must be given them) that haply they (too) may ward off (evil).

اور پرہیزگاروں پر نہیں ہے جھگڑنے والوں کے حساب میں سے کوئی چیز لیکن انکے ذمہ نصیحت کرنی ہے تاکہ وہ ڈریں [۸۱]

وَذَرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ لَعِبًۭا وَلَهْوًۭا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَذَكِّرْ بِهِۦٓ أَن تُبْسَلَ نَفْسٌۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِىٌّۭ وَلَا شَفِيعٌۭ وَإِن تَعْدِلْ كُلَّ عَدْلٍۢ لَّا يُؤْخَذْ مِنْهَآ ۗ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُبْسِلُوا۟ بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ ۖ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌۭ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍۢ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ

Wa zaril lazeenat takhazoo deenahum la'ibanwwa lahwanw wa gharrat humul ha yaatud dunyaa; wa zakkir biheee an tubsala nafsum bimaa kasabat laisa lahaa min doonil laahi waliyyunw wa laa shafee'unw wa in ta'dil kulla 'adlil laa yu'khaz minhaa; ulaaa 'ikal lazeena ubsiloo bimaa kasaboo lahum sharaabum min hameeminw wa 'azaabun aleemum bimaa kaanoo yakkfuroon

And forsake those who take their religion for a pastime and a jest, and whom the life of the world beguileth. Remind (mankind) hereby lest a soul be destroyed by what it earneth. It hath beside Allah no protecting ally nor intercessor, and though it offer every compensation it will not be accepted from it. Those are they who perish by their own deserts. For them is drink of boiling water and a painful doom, because they disbelieved.

اور چھوڑ دے انکو جنہوں نے بنا رکھا ہے اپنے دین کو کھیل اور تماشا [۸۲] اور دھوکا دیا انکو دنیا کی زندگی نے [۸۳] اور نصیحت کر انکو قرآن سے تاکہ گرفتار نہ ہو جاوے کوئی اپنے کئے میں کہ نہ ہو اس کے لئے اللہ کے سوا کوئی حمایتی اور نہ سفارش کرنے والا اور اگر بدلے میں دے سارے بدلے تو قبول نہ ہوں اس سے [۸۴] وہی لوگ ہیں جو گرفتار ہوئے اپنے کئے میں انکو پینا ہے گرم پانی اور عذاب ہے دردناک بدلے میں کفر کے [۸۵]

قُلْ أَنَدْعُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُنَا وَلَا يَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْقَابِنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَىٰنَا ٱللَّهُ كَٱلَّذِى ٱسْتَهْوَتْهُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ حَيْرَانَ لَهُۥٓ أَصْحَٰبٌۭ يَدْعُونَهُۥٓ إِلَى ٱلْهُدَى ٱئْتِنَا ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ ۖ وَأُمِرْنَا لِنُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Qul anad'oo min doonil laahi maa laa yanfa'unaa wa laa yadurrunaa wa nuraddu 'alaaa a'qaabina ba'da iz hadaanal laahu kallazis tahwat hush Shayaateenu fil ardi hairaana lahooo ashaabuny yad'oo nahooo ilal huda' tinaa; qul inna hudal laahi huwal hudaa wa umirnaa linuslima li Rabbil 'aalameen

Say: Shall we cry, instead of unto Allah, unto that which neither profiteth us nor hurteth us, and shall we turn back after Allah hath guided us, like one bewildered whom the devils have infatuated in the earth, who hath companions who invite him to the guidance (saying): Come unto us? Say: Lo! the guidance of Allah is Guidance, and we are ordered to surrender to the Lord of the Worlds,

تو کہہ دے کیا ہم پکاریں اللہ کےسوا ان کو جو نہ نفع پہنچا سکیں ہم کو اور نہ نقصان اور کیا پھر جاویں ہم الٹے پاؤں اسکے بعد کہ اللہ سیدھی راہ دکھا چکا ہم کو مثل اس شخص کے کہ رستہ بھلا دیا ہو اسکو جنوں نے جنگل میں جبکہ وہ حیران ہے اس کے رفیق بلاتے ہیں اسکو رستہ کی طرف کہ چلا آ ہمارے پاس [۸۶] تو کہہ دے کہ اللہ نے جو راہ بتلائی وہی سیدھی راہ ہے [۸۷] اور ہم کو حکم ہوا ہے کہ تابع رہیں پروردگار عالم کے

وَأَنْ أَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ

Wa an aqeemus Salaata wattaqooh; wa Hual lazeee ilaihi tuhsharoon

And to establish worship and be dutiful to Him, and He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered.

اور یہ کہ قائم رکھو نماز کو اور ڈرتے رہو اللہ سے اور وہی ہے جس کے سامنے تم سب اکھٹے ہو گے

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُن فَيَكُونُ ۚ قَوْلُهُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۚ وَلَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ۚ عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ

Wa an Huwal lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda bilhaqq; wa Yawma yaqoolu kun fa yakoon; Qawluhul haqq; wa lahul mulku Yawma yunfakhu fis Soor; 'Aalimul Ghaibi wash shahaadah; wa Huwal Hakeemul Khabeer

He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in truth. In the day when He saith: Be! it is. His Word is the Truth, and His will be the Sovereignty on the day when the trumpet is blown. Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, He is the Wise, the Aware.

اور وہی ہے جس نے پیدا کیا آسمانوں اور زمین کو ٹھیک طور پر اور جس دن کہے گا کہ ہو جا [۸۸] تو وہ ہو جائے گا اسی کی بات سچی ہے اور اسی کی سلطنت ہے جس دن پھونکا جائے گا صور [۸۹] جاننے والا چھپی اور کھلی باتوں کا اور وہی ہے حکمت والا جاننے والا [۹۰]

۞ وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ ءَازَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَامًا ءَالِهَةً ۖ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰكَ وَقَوْمَكَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

Wa iz qaala Ibraaheemu li abeehi Aazara a-tattakhizu asnaaman aalihatan inneee araaka wa qawmaka fee dalaalim mmubeen

(Remember) when Abraham said unto his father Azar: Takest thou idols for gods? Lo! I see thee and thy folk in error manifest.

اور یاد کرو جب کہا ابراہیم نے [۹۱] اپنے باپ آزر کو [۹۲] تو کیا مانتا ہے بتوں کو خدا میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ تو اور تیری قوم صریح گمراہ ہیں [۹۳]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُرِىٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُوقِنِينَ

Wa kazaalika nureee Ibraaheema malakootas samaawaati wal ardi wa liyakoona minal mooqineen

Thus did We show Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth that he might be of those possessing certainty:

اور اسی طرح ہم دکھانے لگے ابراہیم کو عجائبات آسمانوں اور زمینوں کے اور تاکہ اس کو یقین آ جاوے [۹۴]

فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلَّيْلُ رَءَا كَوْكَبًۭا ۖ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّ ٱلْءَافِلِينَ

Falammaa janna 'alaihil lailu ra aa kawkabaan qaala haaza Rabbee falammaaa afala qaala laaa uhibbul aafileen

When the night grew dark upon him he beheld a star. He said: This is my Lord. But when it set, he said: I love not things that set.

پھر جب اندھیرا کر لیا اس پر رات نے دیکھا اس نے ایک ستارہ بولا یہ ہے رب میرا پھر جب وہ غائب ہو گیا تو بولا میں پسند نہیں کرتا غائب ہو جانے والوں کو [۹۵]

فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلْقَمَرَ بَازِغًۭا قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَئِن لَّمْ يَهْدِنِى رَبِّى لَأَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

Falammmaa ra al qamara baazighan qaala haazaa Rabbee falammmmaaa afala qaala la'il lam yahdinee Rabbee la akoonanna minal qawmid daaalleen

And when he saw the moon uprising, he exclaimed: This is my Lord. But when it set, he said: Unless my Lord guide me, I surely shall become one of the folk who are astray.

پھر جب دیکھا چاند چمکتا ہوا بولا یہ ہے رب میرا پھر جب وہ غائب ہو گیا بولا اگر نہ ہدایت کرے گا مجھ کو رب میرا تو بیشک میں رہوں گا گمراہ لوگوں میں [۹۶]

فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةًۭ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى هَٰذَآ أَكْبَرُ ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَتْ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ

Falammmaa ra ashshamsa baazighatan qaala haazaa Rabbee haazaaa akbaru falammaaa afalat qaala yaa qawmi innee bareee'um mimmaa tushrikoon

And when he saw the sun uprising, he cried: This is my Lord! This is greater! And when it set he exclaimed: O my people! Lo! I am free from all that ye associate (with Him).

پھر جب دیکھا سورج جھلکھتا ہوا بولا یہ ہے رب میرا یہ سب سے بڑا ہے [۹۷] پھر جب وہ غائب ہو گیا بولا اے میری قوم میں بیزار ہوں ان سے جن کو تم شریک کرتے ہو [۹۸]

إِنِّى وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِىَ لِلَّذِى فَطَرَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًۭا ۖ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

Innnee wajjahtu wajhiya lillazee fataras samaawaati wal arda haneefanw wa maaa ana minal mushrikeen

Lo! I have turned my face toward Him Who created the heavens and the earth, as one by nature upright, and I am not of the idolaters.

میں نے متوجہ کر لیا اپنے منہ کو اسی کی طرف جس نے بنائے آسمان اور زمین سب سے یکسو ہو کر اور میں نہیں ہوں شرک کرنے والا [۹۹]

وَحَآجَّهُۥ قَوْمُهُۥ ۚ قَالَ أَتُحَٰٓجُّوٓنِّى فِى ٱللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَىٰنِ ۚ وَلَآ أَخَافُ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ رَبِّى شَيْـًۭٔا ۗ وَسِعَ رَبِّى كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عِلْمًا ۗ أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ

Wa haaajjahoo qawmuh; qaala a-tuh aaajjooonnnee fillaahi wa qad hadaan; wa laaa akhaafu mmaa tushrikoona bihee illaaa ai yashaaa'a Rabbee shai'anw wasi'a Rabbee kulla shai'in 'ilman afalaa tatazakkaroon

His people argued with him. He said: Dispute ye with me concerning Allah when He hath guided me? I fear not at all that which ye set up beside Him unless my Lord willeth aught. My Lord includeth all things in His knowledge. Will ye not then remember?

اور اس سے جھگڑا کیا اسکی قوم نے بولا کیا تم مجھ سے جھگڑا کرتے ہو اللہ کے ایک ہونے میں اور وہ مجھ کو سمجھا چکا [۱۰۰] اور میں ڈرتا نہیں ہوں ان سے جنکو تم شریک کرتے ہو اس کا مگر یہ کہ میرا رب ہی کوئی تکلیف پہنچانی چاہے احاطہ کر لیا ہے میرے رب کے علم نے سب چیزوں کا کیا تم نہیں سوچتے [۱۰۱]

وَكَيْفَ أَخَافُ مَآ أَشْرَكْتُمْ وَلَا تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمْ أَشْرَكْتُم بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَٰنًۭا ۚ فَأَىُّ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ أَحَقُّ بِٱلْأَمْنِ ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

Wa kaifa akhaafu maaa ashraktum wa laa takhaafoona annakum ashraktum billaahi maa lam yunazzil bihee 'alaikum sultaanaa; fa aiyul fareeqaini ahaqqu bil amni in kuntum ta'lamoon

How should I fear that which ye set up beside Him, when ye fear not to set up beside Allah that for which He hath revealed unto you no warrant? Which of the two factions hath more right to safety? (Answer me that) if ye have knowledge.

اور میں کیونکر ڈروں تمہارے شریکوں سے اور تم نہیں ڈرتے اس بات سے کہ شریک کرتے ہو اللہ کا انکو جسکی نہیں اتاری اس نے تم پر کوئی دلیل [۱۰۲] اب دونوں فرقوں میں کون مستحق ہے دل جمعی کا بولو اگر تم سمجھ رکھتے ہو

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوٓا۟ إِيمَٰنَهُم بِظُلْمٍ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱلْأَمْنُ وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ

Allazeena aamanoo wa lam yalbisooo eemaanahum bizulmin ulaaa'ika lahumul amnu wa hum muhtadoon

Those who believe and obscure not their belief by wrongdoing, theirs is safety; and they are rightly guided.

جو لوگ یقین لے آئے اور نہیں ملا دیا انہوں نے اپنے یقین میں کوئی نقصان انہی کے واسطے ہے دل جمعی اور وہی ہیں سیدھی راہ پر [۱۰۳]

وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُنَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ ۚ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَٰتٍۢ مَّن نَّشَآءُ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌۭ

Wa tilka hujjatunaaa aatainaahaaa Ibraaheema 'alaa qawmih; narfa'u darajaatim man nashaaa'; inna Rabbaka Hakeemun 'Aleem

That is Our argument. We gave it unto Abraham against his folk. We raise unto degrees of wisdom whom We will. Lo! thy Lord is Wise, Aware.

اور یہ ہماری دلیل ہے کہ ہم نے دی تھی ابراہیم کو اس کی قوم کے مقابلہ میں درجے بلندکرتے ہیں ہم جس کے چاہیں تیرا رب حکمت والا ہے جاننے والا [۱۰۴]

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۚ كُلًّا هَدَيْنَا ۚ وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِن قَبْلُ ۖ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِۦ دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Wa wahabnaa lahoo ishaaqa wa ya'qoob; kullan hadainaa; wa Noohan hadainaa min qablu wa min zurriyyatihee Daawooda wa Sulaimaana wa Ayyooba wa Yoosufa wa Moosaa wa haaroon; wa kazaalika najzil muhsineen

And We bestowed upon him Isaac and Jacob; each of them We guided; and Noah did We guide aforetime; and of his seed (We guided) David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the good.

اور بخشا ہم نے ابراہیم کو اسحٰق اور یعقوب سب کو ہم نے ہدایت دی [۱۰۵] اور نوح کو ہدایت کی ہم نے ان سب سے پہلے [۱۰۶] اور اسکی اولاد میں سے داؤد اور سلیمان کو اور ایوب اور یوسف کو اور موسٰی اور ہارون کو [۱۰۷] اور ہم اسی طرح بدلہ دیا کرتےہیں نیک کام والوں کو

وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحْيَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَإِلْيَاسَ ۖ كُلٌّۭ مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

Wa Zakariyyaa wa Yahyaa wa 'Eesaa wa Illyaasa kullum minas saaliheen

And Zachariah and John and Jesus and Elias. Each one (of them) was of the righteous.

اور زکریا اور یحیٰی اور عیسٰی اور الیاس کو سب ہیں نیک بختوں میں

وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَٱلْيَسَعَ وَيُونُسَ وَلُوطًۭا ۚ وَكُلًّۭا فَضَّلْنَا عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Wa Ismaa'eela wal Yasa'a wa Yoonusa wa Lootaa; wa kullan faddalnaa 'alal 'aalameen

And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot. Each one (of them) did We prefer above (Our) creatures,

اور اسمٰعیل اور الیسع کو اور یونس کو اور لوط کو اور سب کو ہم نے بزرگی دی سارے جہان والوں پر [۱۰۸]

وَمِنْ ءَابَآئِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ وَإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ ۖ وَٱجْتَبَيْنَٰهُمْ وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ

Wa min aabaaa'ihim wa zurriyyaatihim wa ikhwaanihim wajtabainaahum wa hadainaahum ilaa Siraatim Mustaqeem

With some of their forefathers and their offspring and their brethren; and We chose them and guided them unto a straight path.

اور ہدایت کی ہم نے بعضوں کو انکے باپ دادوں میں سے اور انکی اولاد میں سےاور بھائیوں میں سے اور انکو ہم نے پسند کیا اور سیدھی راہ چلایا

ذَٰلِكَ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ يَهْدِى بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ ۚ وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُوا۟ لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Zaalika hudal laahi yahdee bihee mai yashaaa'u min 'ibaadih; wa law ashrakoo lahabita 'anhum maa kaanoo ya'maloon

Such is the guidance of Allah wherewith He guideth whom He will of His bondmen. But if they had set up (for worship) aught beside Him, (all) that they did would have been vain.

یہ اللہ کی ہدایت ہے اس پر چلاتا ہے جسکو چاہے اپنے بندوں میں سے [۱۰۹] اور اگر یہ لوگ شرک کرتے تو البتہ ضائع ہو جاتا جو کچھ انہوں نے کیا تھا [۱۱۰]

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ ۚ فَإِن يَكْفُرْ بِهَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمًۭا لَّيْسُوا۟ بِهَا بِكَٰفِرِينَ

Ulaaa'ikal lazeena aatainaahumul Kitaaba wal hukma wan Nubuwwah; fa iny yakfur bihaa haaa'ulaaa'i faqad wakkalnaa bihaa qawmal laisoo bihaa bikaafireen

Those are they unto whom We gave the Scripture and command and prophethood. But if these disbelieve therein, then indeed We shall entrust it to a people who will not be disbelievers therein.

یہ لوگ تھے جن کو دی ہم نے کتاب اور شریعت اور نبوت پھر اگر ان باتوں کو نہ مانیں مکہ والے تو ہم نے ان باتوں کے لئے مقرر کر دیے ہیں ایسے لوگ جو ان سے منکر نہیں [۱۱۱]

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَدَى ٱللَّهُ ۖ فَبِهُدَىٰهُمُ ٱقْتَدِهْ ۗ قُل لَّآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا ۖ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Ulaaa'ikal lazeena hadal laahu fabihudaahumuq tadih; qul laaa as'alukum 'alaihi ajran in huwa illaa zikraa lil 'aalameen

Those are they whom Allah guideth, so follow their guidance. Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for it. Lo! it is naught but a Reminder to (His) creatures.

یہ وہ لوگ تھے جن کو ہدایت کی اللہ نے سو تو چل ان کے طریقہ پر [۱۱۲] تو کہہ دے کہ میں نہیں مانگتا تم سے اس پر کچھ مزدوری یہ تو محض نصیحت ہے جہان کے لوگوں کو [۱۱۳]

وَمَا قَدَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِۦٓ إِذْ قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ بَشَرٍۢ مِّن شَىْءٍۢ ۗ قُلْ مَنْ أَنزَلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ٱلَّذِى جَآءَ بِهِۦ مُوسَىٰ نُورًۭا وَهُدًۭى لِّلنَّاسِ ۖ تَجْعَلُونَهُۥ قَرَاطِيسَ تُبْدُونَهَا وَتُخْفُونَ كَثِيرًۭا ۖ وَعُلِّمْتُم مَّا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنتُمْ وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ ۖ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ ۖ ثُمَّ ذَرْهُمْ فِى خَوْضِهِمْ يَلْعَبُونَ

Wa maa qadarul laaha haqqa qadriheee iz qaaloo maaa anzalal laahu 'alaa basharim min shai'; qul man anzalal Kitaabal lazee jaaa'a bihee Moosaa nooranw wa hudal linnaasi taj'aloonahoo qaraateesa tubdoonahaa wa tukhfoona kaseeranw wa 'ullimtum maa lam ta'lamooo antum wa laaa aabaaa'ukum qulil laahu summa zarhum fee khawdihim yal'aboon

And they measure not the power of Allah its true measure when they say: Allah hath naught revealed unto a human being. Say (unto the Jews who speak thus): Who revealed the Book which Moses brought, a light and guidance for mankind, which ye have put on parchments which ye show, but ye hide much (thereof), and (by which) ye were taught that which ye knew not yourselves nor (did) your fathers (know it)? Say: Allah. Then leave them to their play of cavilling.

اور نہیں پہچانا انہوں نے اللہ کو پورا پہچاننا جب کہنے لگے کہ نہیں اتاری اللہ نے کسی انسان پر کوئی چیز [۱۱۴] پوچھ تو کس نے اتاری وہ کتاب جو موسٰی لے کر آیا تھا روشن تھی اور ہدایت تھی لوگوں کے واسطے جس کو تم نے ورق ورق کر کے لوگوں کو دکھلایا اور بہت سی باتوں کو تم نے چھپا رکھا اور تم کو سکھلا دیں جن کو نہ جانتے تھے تم اور نہ تمہارے باپ دادے [۱۱۵] تو کہہ دے کہ اللہ نےاتاری پھر چھوڑ دے ان کو اپنی خرافات میں کھیلتے رہیں [۱۱۶]

وَهَٰذَا كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ مُبَارَكٌۭ مُّصَدِّقُ ٱلَّذِى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلِتُنذِرَ أُمَّ ٱلْقُرَىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ ۖ وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ

Wa haazaa Kitaabun anzalnaahu Mubaarakum musaddiqul lazee bainaa yadaihi wa litunzira ummal Quraa wa man hawlahaa; wallazeena yu'minoona bil Aakhirati yu'minoona bihee wa hum'alaa Salaatihim yuhaafizoon

And this is a blessed Scripture which We have revealed, confirming that which (was revealed) before it, that thou mayst warn the Mother of Villages and those around her. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe herein, and they are careful of their worship.

اور یہ قرآن وہ کتاب ہے جو کہ ہم نے اتاری برکت والی تصدیق کرنے والی ان کی جو اس سے پہلی ہیں [۱۱۷] اور تاکہ تو ڈرا دے مکہ والوں کو اور اس کے آس پاس والوں کو [۱۱۸] اور جن کو یقین ہے آخرت کا وہ اس پر ایمان لاتے ہیں اور وہ ہیں اپنی نماز سے خبردار [۱۱۹]

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ قَالَ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ وَلَمْ يُوحَ إِلَيْهِ شَىْءٌۭ وَمَن قَالَ سَأُنزِلُ مِثْلَ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ ۗ وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ فِى غَمَرَٰتِ ٱلْمَوْتِ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ بَاسِطُوٓا۟ أَيْدِيهِمْ أَخْرِجُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمُ ۖ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ ٱلْهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ غَيْرَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَكُنتُمْ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

Wa man azlamu mimmanif taraa 'alal laahi kaziban aw qaala oohiya ilaiya wa lam yooha ilaihi shai'un wa man qaala sa unzilu misla maaa anzalal laah; wa law taraaa iziz zaalimoona fee ghamaraatil mawti walmalaaa'ikatu baasitooo aideehim akhrijooo anfusakum; al yawma tujzawna 'azaabal hooni bimaa kuntum taqooloona 'alal laahi ghairal haqqi wa kuntum 'an aayaatihee tastakbiroon

Who is guilty of more wrong than he who forgeth a lie against Allah, or saith: I am inspired, when he is not inspired in aught; and who saith: I will reveal the like of that which Allah hath revealed? If thou couldst see, when the wrong-doers reach the pangs of death and the angels stretch their hands out (saying): Deliver up your souls. This day ye are awarded doom of degradation for that ye spake concerning Allah other than the truth, and used to scorn His portents.

اور اس سے زیادہ ظالم کون جو باندھے اللہ پر بہتان یا کہے مجھ پر وحی اتری اور اس پر وحی نہیں اتری کچھ بھی اور جو کہے کہ میں بھی اتارتا ہوں مثل اسکے جو اللہ نے اتارا [۱۲۰] اور اگر تو دیکھے جس وقت کہ ظالم ہوں موت کی سختیوں میں [۱۲۱] اور فرشتے اپنے ہاتھ بڑھا رہے ہیں کہ نکالو اپنی جانیں [۱۲۲] آج تم کو بدلے میں ملے گا ذلت کا عذاب [۱۲۳] اس سبب سے کہ تم کہتےتھے اللہ پر جھوٹی باتیں اور اس کی آیتوں سے تکبر کرتے تھے [۱۲۴]

وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَٰدَىٰ كَمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۢ وَتَرَكْتُم مَّا خَوَّلْنَٰكُمْ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِكُمْ ۖ وَمَا نَرَىٰ مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّهُمْ فِيكُمْ شُرَكَٰٓؤُا۟ ۚ لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنكُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ

Wa laqad ji'tumoonaa furaadaa kamaa khalaqnaakum awwala marratinw wa taraktum maa khawwalnaakum waraaa'a zuhoorikum wa maa naraa ma'akum shufa'aaa' akumul lazeena za'amtum annahum feekum shurakaaa'; laqat taqatta'a bainakum wa dalla 'annkum maa kuntum taz'umoon

Now have ye come unto Us solitary as We did create you at the first, and ye have left behind you all that We bestowed upon you, and We behold not with you those your intercessors, of whom ye claimed that they possessed a share in you. Now is the bond between you severed, and that which ye presumed hath failed you.

اور البتہ تم ہمارے پاس آ گئے ایک ایک ہو کر جیسے ہم نے پیدا کیا تھا تم کو پہلی بار اور چھوڑ آئے تم جو کچھ اسباب ہم نے تم کو دیا تھا اپنی پیٹھ کے پیچھے [۱۲۵] اور ہم نہیں دیکھتے تمہارے ساتھ سفارش والوں کو جن کو تم بتلایا کرتے تھے کہ ان کا تم میں ساجھا ہے البتہ منقطع ہو گیا تمہاا علاقہ اور جاتے رہے جو دعوے کہ تم کیا کرتے تھے [۱۲۶]

۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ فَالِقُ ٱلْحَبِّ وَٱلنَّوَىٰ ۖ يُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتِ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ

Innal laaha faaliqul habbi wannawaa yukhrijul haiya minal maiyiti wa mukhrijul maiyiti minal haiy; zaalikumul laahu fa annaa tu'fakoon

Lo! Allah (it is) Who splitteth the grain of corn and the date-stone (for sprouting). He bringeth forth the living from the dead, and is the bringer-forth of the dead from the living. Such is Allah. How then are ye perverted?

اللہ ہے کہ پھوڑ نکالتا ہے دانہ اور گٹھلی نکالتا ہے مردہ سے زندہ اور نکالنے والا ہے زندہ سے مردہ یہ ہے اللہ پھر تم کدھر بہکے جاتے ہو [۱۲۷]

فَالِقُ ٱلْإِصْبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ ٱلَّيْلَ سَكَنًۭا وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ حُسْبَانًۭا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ

Faaliqul isbaahi wa ja'alal laila sakananw washh shamsa walqamara husbaanaa; zaalika taqdeerul 'Azeezil 'Aleem

He is the Cleaver of the Daybreak, and He hath appointed the night for stillness, and the sun and the moon for reckoning. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise.

پھوڑ نکالنے والا صبح کی روشنی کا [۱۲۸] اور اسی نے رات بنائی آرام کو اور سورج اور چاند حساب کے لئے یہ اندازہ رکھا ہوا ہے زورآور خبردار کا [۱۲۹]

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلنُّجُومَ لِتَهْتَدُوا۟ بِهَا فِى ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍۢ يَعْلَمُونَ

Wa Huwal lazee ja'ala lakumun nujooma litahtadoo bihaa fee zulumaatil barri walbahr; qad fassalnal Aayaati liqawminy ya'lamoon

And He it is Who hath set for you the stars that ye may guide your course by them amid the darkness of the land and the sea. We have detailed Our revelations for a people who have knowledge.

اور اسی نے بنا دیے تمہارے واسطے ستارے کہ انکے وسیلہ سے راستے معلوم کرو اندھیروں میں جنگل اور دریا کے [۱۳۰] البتہ ہم نے کھول کر بیان کر دیے پتے ان لوگوں کے لئے جو جانتے ہیں

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍۢ وَٰحِدَةٍۢ فَمُسْتَقَرٌّۭ وَمُسْتَوْدَعٌۭ ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍۢ يَفْقَهُونَ

Wa hhuwal lazeee ansha akum min nasinw waahidatin famustaqarrunw wa mustawda'; qad fassalnal Aayaati liqaw miny-yafqahoon

And He it is Who hath produced you from a single being, and (hath given you) a habitation and a repository. We have detailed Our revelations for a people who have understanding.

اور وہی ہے جس نے تم کو سب کو پیدا کیا ایک شخص سے [۱۳۱] پھر ایک تو تمہارا ٹھکانہ ہے اور ایک امانت رکھے جانے کی جگہ [۱۳۲] البتہ ہم نے کھول کر سنا دیے پتے اس کو جو سوچتے ہیں

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِۦ نَبَاتَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ فَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهُ خَضِرًۭا نُّخْرِجُ مِنْهُ حَبًّۭا مُّتَرَاكِبًۭا وَمِنَ ٱلنَّخْلِ مِن طَلْعِهَا قِنْوَانٌۭ دَانِيَةٌۭ وَجَنَّٰتٍۢ مِّنْ أَعْنَابٍۢ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُشْتَبِهًۭا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَٰبِهٍ ۗ ٱنظُرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَيَنْعِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكُمْ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Wa Huwal lazeee anzala minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa akhrajnaa bihee nabaata kulli shai'in fa akhrajnaa minhu khadiran nukhriju minhu habbam mutaraakibanw wa minan nakhli min tal'ihaa qinwaanun daaniyatunw wa jannaatim min a'naabinw wazzaitoona warrummaana mushhtabihanw wa ghaira mutashaabih; unzurooo ilaa samariheee izaaa asmars wa yan'ih; inna fee zaalikum la Aayaatil liqawminy yu'minoon

He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, and therewith We bring forth buds of every kind; We bring forth the green blade from which We bring forth the thick-clustered grain; and from the date-palm, from the pollen thereof, spring pendant bunches; and (We bring forth) gardens of grapes, and the olive and the pomegranate, alike and unlike. Look upon the fruit thereof, when they bear fruit, and upon its ripening. Lo! herein verily are portents for a people who believe.

اور اسی نے اتارا آسمان سے پانی پھر نکالی ہم نے اس سے اگنے والی ہر چیز [۱۳۳] پھر نکالی اس میں سے سبز کھیتی جس سے ہم نکالتے ہیں دانے ایک پر ایک چڑھا ہوا اور کھجور کے گابھے میں سے پھل کے گچھے جھکے ہوئے [۱۳۴] اور باغ انگور کے اور زیتون کے اور انار کے آپس میں ملتے جلتے اور جدا جدا بھی [۱۳۵] دیکھو ہر ایک درخت کے پھل کو جب وہ پھل لاتا ہے اور اسکے پکنے کو [۱۳۶] ان چیزوں میں نشانیاں ہیں واسطے ایمان والوں کے [۱۳۷]

وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ ٱلْجِنَّ وَخَلَقَهُمْ ۖ وَخَرَقُوا۟ لَهُۥ بَنِينَ وَبَنَٰتٍۭ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

Wa ja'aloo lillaahi shurakaaa'al jinna wa khalaqa hum wa kharaqoo lahoo baneena wa banaatim bighairi 'ilm Subhaanahoo wa Ta'aalaa 'amma yasifoon

Yet they ascribe as partners unto Him the jinn, although He did create them, and impute falsely, without knowledge, sons and daughters unto Him. Glorified be He and High Exalted above (all) that they ascribe (unto Him).

اور ٹھہراتے ہیں اللہ کے شریک جنوں کو حالانکہ اس نے انکو پیدا کیا ہے [۱۳۸] اور تراشتے ہیں اسکے واسطے بیٹے اور بیٹیاں جہالت سے [۱۳۹] وہ پاک ہے اور بہت دور ہے ان باتوں سے جو یہ لوگ بیان کرتے ہیں [۱۴۰]

بَدِيعُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لَهُۥ وَلَدٌۭ وَلَمْ تَكُن لَّهُۥ صَٰحِبَةٌۭ ۖ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍۢ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌۭ

Badee'us samaawaati wal ardi annnaa yakoonu lahoo waladunw wa lam takul lahoo saahibatunw wa khalaqa kulla shai'in 'Aleem

The Originator of the heavens and the earth! How can He have a child, when there is for Him no consort, when He created all things and is Aware of all things?

نئی طرح پر بنانے والا آسمان اور زمین کا [۱۴۱] کیونکر ہو سکتا ہے اسکے بیٹا حالانکہ اس کی کوئی عورت نہیں اور اس نے بنائی ہر چیز اور وہ ہر چیز سے واقف ہے [۱۴۲]

ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ ۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَكِيلٌۭ

Zaalikumul laahu Rabbukum laaa ilaaha illaa huwa khaaliqu kulli shai'in fa'budooh; wa huwa 'alaa kulli shai'inw Wakeel

Such is Allah, your Lord. There is no Allah save Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He taketh care of all things.

یہ اللہ تمہارا رب ہے نہیں ہے کوئی معبود سوا اسکے پیدا کرنے والا ہر چیز کا سو تم اسی کی عبادت کرو اور وہ ہرچیز پر کارساز ہے [۱۴۳]

لَّا تُدْرِكُهُ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ وَهُوَ يُدْرِكُ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱللَّطِيفُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ

Laa tudrikuhul absaaru wa Huwa yudrikul absaara wa huwal Lateeful Khabeer

Vision comprehendeth Him not, but He comprehendeth (all) vision. He is the Subtile, the Aware.

نہیں پا سکتیں اس کو آنکھیں اور وہ پا سکتا ہے آنکھوں کو اور وہ نہایت لطیف اور خبردار ہے [۱۴۴]

قَدْ جَآءَكُم بَصَآئِرُ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ فَمَنْ أَبْصَرَ فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَنْ عَمِىَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۚ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ عَلَيْكُم بِحَفِيظٍۢ

Qad jaaa'akum basaaa'iru mir Rabbikum faman absara falinafsihee wa man 'amiya fa'alaihaa; wa maaa ana 'alaikum bihafeez

Proofs have come unto you from your Lord, so whoso seeth, it is for his own good, and whoso is blind is blind to his own hurt. And I am not a keeper over you.

تمہارے پاس آ چکیں نشانیاں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے پھر جس نے دیکھ لیا سو اپنے واسطے اور جو اندھا رہا سو اپنے نقصان کو اور میں نہیں تم پر نگہبان [۱۴۵]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ وَلِيَقُولُوا۟ دَرَسْتَ وَلِنُبَيِّنَهُۥ لِقَوْمٍۢ يَعْلَمُونَ

Wa kazaalika nusarriful Aayaati wa liyaqooloo darasta wa linubaiyinahoo liqawminy ya'lamoon

Thus do We display Our revelations that they may say (unto thee, Muhammad): "Thou hast studied," and that We may make (it) clear for people who have knowledge.

اور یوں طرح طرح سے سمجھاتے ہیں ہم آیتیں اور تاکہ وہ کہیں کہ تو نے کسی سے پڑھا ہے اور تاکہ واضح کر دیں ہم اسکو واسطے سمجھ والوں کے [۱۴۶]

ٱتَّبِعْ مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

ittabi' maaa oohiya ilaika mir Rabbika laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa wa a'rid 'anil mushrikeen

Follow that which is inspired in thee from thy Lord; there is no Allah save Him; and turn away from the idolaters.

تو چل اس پر جو حکم تجھ کو آوے تیرے رب کا کوئی معبود نہیں سوا اسکے اور منہ پھیر لے مشرکوں سے [۱۴۷]

وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَآ أَشْرَكُوا۟ ۗ وَمَا جَعَلْنَٰكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًۭا ۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٍۢ

Wa law shaaa'al laahu maaa ashrakoo; wa maa ja'alnaaka 'alaihim hafeezanw wa maaa anta 'alaihim biwakeel

Had Allah willed, they had not been idolatrous. We have not set thee as a keeper over them, nor art thou responsible for them.

اور اگر اللہ چاہتا تو وہ لوگ شرک نہ کرتے [۱۴۸] اور ہم نے نہیں کیا تجھ کو ان پر نگہبان اور نہیں ہے تو ان پر داروغہ [۱۴۹]

وَلَا تَسُبُّوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَسُبُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَدْوًۢا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِم مَّرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Wa laa tasubbul lazeena yad'oona min doonil laahi fa yasubbul laaha 'adwam bighairi 'ilm; kazaalika zaiyannaa likulli ummatin 'amalahum summa ilaa Rabbihim marji'uhum fa yunabbi'uhum bimaa kaanooya'maloon

Revile not those unto whom they pray beside Allah lest they wrongfully revile Allah through ignorance. Thus unto every nation have We made their deed seem fair. Then unto their Lord is their return, and He will tell them what they used to do.

اور تم لوگو برا نہ کہو ان کو جنکی یہ پرستش کرتے ہیں اللہ کے سوا پس وہ برا کہنے لگیں گے اللہ کو بے ادبی سے بدون سمجھے [۱۵۰] اسی طرح ہم نے مزین کر دیا ہر ایک فرقہ کی نظر میں انکے اعمال کو پھر ان سب کو اپنے رب کے پاس پہنچنا ہے تب وہ جتلاوے گا انکو جو کچھ وہ کرتے تھے [۱۵۱]

وَأَقْسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ لَئِن جَآءَتْهُمْ ءَايَةٌۭ لَّيُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهَا ۚ قُلْ إِنَّمَا ٱلْءَايَٰتُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمْ أَنَّهَآ إِذَا جَآءَتْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Wa aqsamoo billaahi jahda aimaanihim la'in jaaa'at hum Aayatul la yu'minunna bihaa; qul innamal Aayaatu 'indal laahi wa maa yush'irukum annahaaa izaa jaaa'at laa yu'minoon

And they swear a solemn oath by Allah that if there come unto them a portent they will believe therein. Say; Portents are with Allah and (so is) that which telleth you that if such came unto them they would not believe.

اور وہ قسمیں کھاتےہیں اللہ کی تاکید سے کہ اگر آوے انکے پاس کوئی نشانی تو ضرور اس پر ایمان لاویں گے [۱۵۲] تو کہہ دے کہ نشانیاں تو اللہ کے پاس ہیں اور تم کو اے مسلمانو کیا خبر ہے کہ وہ نشانیاں آئیں گی تو یہ لوگ ایمان لے ہی آویں گے [۱۵۳]

وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْـِٔدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَٰرَهُمْ كَمَا لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهِۦٓ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۢ وَنَذَرُهُمْ فِى طُغْيَٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

Wa nuqallibu af'idatahum wa absaarahum kamaa lam yu'minoo biheee awwala marratinw wa wa nazaruhum fee tughyaanihim ya'mahoon

We confound their hearts and their eyes. As they believed not therein at the first, We let them wander blindly on in their contumacy.

اور ہم الٹ دیں گے ان کے دل اور ان کی آنکھیں جیسے کہ ایمان نہیں لائے نشانیوں پر پہلی بار اور ہم چھوڑے رکھیں گے انکو انکی سرکشی میں بہکتے ہوئے [۱۵۴]

۞ وَلَوْ أَنَّنَا نَزَّلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ وَكَلَّمَهُمُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَحَشَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ كُلَّ شَىْءٍۢ قُبُلًۭا مَّا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَ

Wa law annanaa nazzal naaa ilaihimul malaaa'ikata wa kallamahumul mawtaa wa hasharnaa 'alaihim kulla shai'in qubulam maa kaanoo liyu'minooo illaaa ai yashaaa'al laahu wa laakinna aksarahum yajhaloon

And though We should send down the angels unto them, and the dead should speak unto them, and We should gather against them all things in array, they would not believe unless Allah so willed. Howbeit, most of them are ignorant.

اور اگر ہم اتاریں ان پر فرشتے اور باتیں کریں ان سے مردے اور زندہ کر دیں ہم ہر چیز کو ان کےسامنے تو بھی یہ لوگ ہرگز ایمان لانےوالے نہیں مگر یہ کہ چاہے اللہ لیکن ان میں اکثر جاہل ہیں [۱۵۵]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّۭا شَيَٰطِينَ ٱلْإِنسِ وَٱلْجِنِّ يُوحِى بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ زُخْرُفَ ٱلْقَوْلِ غُرُورًۭا ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُ ۖ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ

Wa kazaalika ja'alnaa likulli nabiyyin 'aduwwan Shayaateenal insi waljinni yoohee ba'duhum ilaa ba'din zukhrufal qawli ghurooraa; wa law shaaa'a Rabbuka maa fa'aloohu fazarhum wa maa yaftaroon

Thus have We appointed unto every prophet an adversary - devils of humankind and jinn who inspire in one another plausible discourse through guile. If thy Lord willed, they would not do so; so leave them alone with their devising;

اور اسی طرح کر دیا ہم نے [۱۵۶] ہر نبی کے لئے دشمن شریر آدمیوں کو اور جنوں کو جو کہ سکھلاتے ہیں ایک دوسرے کو ملمع کی ہوئی باتیں فریب دینے کے لئے اور اگر تیرا رب چاہتا تو وہ لوگ یہ کام نہ کرتے سو تو چھوڑ دے وہ جانیں اور انکا جھوٹ [۱۵۷]

وَلِتَصْغَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ أَفْـِٔدَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَلِيَرْضَوْهُ وَلِيَقْتَرِفُوا۟ مَا هُم مُّقْتَرِفُونَ

Wa litasghaaa ilaihi af'idatul lazeena laa yu'minoona bil Aakhirati wa liyardawhu wa liyaqtarifoo maa hum muqtarifoon

That the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter may incline thereto, and that they may take pleasure therein, and that they may earn what they are earning.

اور اس لئے کہ مائل ہوں ان کی ملمع کی باتوں کی طرف ان لوگوں کے دل جنکو یقین نہیں آخرت کا اور وہ اسکو پسند بھی کر لیں اور کئے جاویں جو کچھ برے کام کر رہے ہیں [۱۵۸]

أَفَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبْتَغِى حَكَمًۭا وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ إِلَيْكُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مُفَصَّلًۭا ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُۥ مُنَزَّلٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ

Afaghairal laahi abtaghee hakamanw wa Huwal lazee anzala ilaikumul Kitaaba mufassalaa; wallazeena atai naahumul Kitaaba ya'lamoona annahoo munazzalum mir Rabbika bilhaqqi falaa takoonanna minal mumtareen

Shall I seek other than Allah for judge, when He it is Who hath revealed unto you (this) Scripture, fully explained? Those unto whom We gave the Scripture (aforetime) know that it is revealed from thy Lord in truth. So be not thou (O Muhammad) of the waverers.

سو کیا اب اللہ کے سوا کسی اور کو منصف بناؤں حالانکہ اسی نے اتاری تم پر کتاب واضح اور جن لوگوں کو ہم نے کتاب دی ہے وہ جانتے ہیں کہ یہ نازل ہوئی ہے تیرے رب کی طرف سے ٹھیک سو تو مت ہو شک کرنے والوں میں سے

وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقًۭا وَعَدْلًۭا ۚ لَّا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Wa tammat Kalimatu Rabbika sidqanw wa 'adlaa; laa mubaddila li Kalimaatih; wa Huwas Samee'ul 'Aleem

Perfected is the Word of thy Lord in truth and justice. There is naught that can change His words. He is the Hearer, the Knower.

اور تیرے رب کی بات پوری سچی ہے اور انصاف کی کوئی بدلنے والا نہیں اس کی بات کو اور وہی ہے سننے والا جاننے والا [۱۵۹]

وَإِن تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ

Wa in tuti' aksara man fil ardi yudillooka 'an sabeelil laah; iny yattabi'oona illaz zanna wa in hum illaa yakhrusoon

If thou obeyedst most of those on earth they would mislead thee far from Allah's way. They follow naught but an opinion, and they do but guess.

اور اگر تو کہنا مانے گا ان لوگوں کا جو دنیا میں ہیں تو تجھ کو بہکا دیں گے اللہ کی راہ سے وہ سب تو چلتے ہیں اپنے خیال پر اور سب اٹکل ہی دوڑاتے ہیں [۱۶۰]

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ مَن يَضِلُّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ ۖ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ

Inna rabbaka Huwa a'lamu mai yadillu 'an sabeelihee wa Huwa a'lamu bilmuhtadeen

Lo! thy Lord, He knoweth best who erreth from His way; and He knoweth best (who are) the rightly guided.

تیرا رب خوب جاننے والا ہے اس کو جو بہکتا ہے اس کی راہ سے اور وہی خوب جاننے والا ہے انکو جو اس کی راہ پر ہیں

فَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِن كُنتُم بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ

Fakuloo mimmmaa zukirasmul laahi 'alaihi in kuntum bi Aayaatihee mu'mineen

Eat of that over which the name of Allah hath been mentioned, if ye are believers in His revelations.

سو تم کھاؤ اس جانور میں سے جس پر نام لیا گیا ہے اللہ کا اگر تم کو اس کے حکموں پر ایمان ہے [۱۶۱]

وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تَأْكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُم مَّا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا مَا ٱضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا لَّيُضِلُّونَ بِأَهْوَآئِهِم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ

Wa maa lakum allaa taakuloo mimmaa zukirasmul laahi 'alaihi wa qad fassala lakum maa harrama 'alaikum illaa mad turirtum ilaih; wa inna kaseeral la yudilloona bi ahwaaa'ihim bighairi 'ilm; inna Rabbaka Huwa a'lamu bilmu'tadeen

How should ye not eat of that over which the name of Allah hath been mentioned, when He hath explained unto you that which is forbidden unto you unless ye are compelled thereto. But lo! many are led astray by their own lusts through ignorance. Lo! thy Lord, He is Best Aware of the transgressors.

اور کیا سبب کہ تم نہیں کھاتے اس جانور میں سے کہ جس پر نام لیا گیا ہے اللہ کا اور وہ واضح کر چکا ہے جو کچھ کہ اس نے تم پر حرام کیا ہے مگر جب کہ مجبور ہو جاؤ اسکے کھانے پر [۱۶۲] اور بہت لوگ بہکاتے پھرتے ہیں اپنے خیالات پر بغیر تحقیق تیرا رب ہی خوب جانتا ہے حد سے بڑھنے والوں کو [۱۶۳]

وَذَرُوا۟ ظَٰهِرَ ٱلْإِثْمِ وَبَاطِنَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكْسِبُونَ ٱلْإِثْمَ سَيُجْزَوْنَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَقْتَرِفُونَ

Wa zaroo zaahiral ismi wa baatinah; innal lazeena yaksiboonal ismaa sa yujzawna bimaa kaanoo yaqtarifoon

Forsake the outwardness of sin and the inwardness thereof. Lo! those who garner sin will be awarded that which they have earned.

اور چھوڑ دو کھلا ہوا گناہ اور چھپا ہوا جو لوگ گناہ کرتے ہیں عنقریب سزا پاویں گے اپنے کئے کی [۱۶۴]

وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِسْقٌۭ ۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ لَيُوحُونَ إِلَىٰٓ أَوْلِيَآئِهِمْ لِيُجَٰدِلُوكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ إِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُونَ

Wa laa taakuloo mimaa lam yuzkaris mullaahi 'alaihi wa innahoo lafisq; wa innash Shayaateena la yoohoona ilaaa awliyaaa'ihim liyujaadilookum wa in ata'tumoohum innnakum lamushrikoon

And eat not of that whereon Allah's name hath not been mentioned, for lo! it is abomination. Lo! the devils do inspire their minions to dispute with you. But if ye obey them, ye will be in truth idolaters.

اور اس میں سے نہ کھاؤ جس پر نام نہیں لیا گیا اللہ کا [۱۶۵] اور یہ کھانا گناہ ہے اور شیطان دل میں ڈالتے ہیں اپنے رفیقوں کے تاکہ وہ تم سے جھگڑا کریں اور اگر تم نے انکا کہا مانا تو تم بھی مشرک ہوئے [۱۶۶]

أَوَمَن كَانَ مَيْتًۭا فَأَحْيَيْنَٰهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُۥ نُورًۭا يَمْشِى بِهِۦ فِى ٱلنَّاسِ كَمَن مَّثَلُهُۥ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٍۢ مِّنْهَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Awa man kaana maitan fa ahyainaahu wa ja'alnaa lahoo noorany yamshee bihee fin naasi kamamm masaluhoo fiz zulumaati laisa bikhaarijim minhaa; kazaalika zuyyina lilkaafireena maa kaanoo ya'maloon

Is he who was dead and We have raised him unto life, and set for him a light wherein he walketh among men, as him whose similitude is in utter darkness whence he cannot emerge? Thus is their conduct made fairseeming for the disbelievers.

بھلا ایک شخص جو کہ مردہ تھا پھر ہم نے اس کو زندہ کر دیا اور ہم نے اس کو دی روشنی کہ لئے پھرتا ہے اس کو لوگوں میں برابر ہو سکتا ہےاسکے کہ جس کا حال یہ ہے کہ پڑا ہے اندھیروں میں وہاں سے نکل نہیں سکتا اسی طرح مزین کر دیے کافروں کی نگاہ میں ان کے کام [۱۶۷]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ أَكَٰبِرَ مُجْرِمِيهَا لِيَمْكُرُوا۟ فِيهَا ۖ وَمَا يَمْكُرُونَ إِلَّا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ

Wa kazaalika ja'alnaa fee kulli qaryatin akaabira mujrimeehaa liyamkuroo feehaa wa maa yamkuroona illaa bi anfusihim wa maa yash'uroon

And thus have We made in every city great ones of its wicked ones, that they should plot therein. They do but plot against themselves, though they perceive not.

اور اسی طرح کئے ہیں ہم نے ہر بستی میں گنہگاروں کے سردار کہ حیلے کیا کریں وہاں اور جو حیلہ کرتے ہیں سو اپنی ہی جان پر اور نہیں سوچتے [۱۶۸]

وَإِذَا جَآءَتْهُمْ ءَايَةٌۭ قَالُوا۟ لَن نُّؤْمِنَ حَتَّىٰ نُؤْتَىٰ مِثْلَ مَآ أُوتِىَ رُسُلُ ٱللَّهِ ۘ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ حَيْثُ يَجْعَلُ رِسَالَتَهُۥ ۗ سَيُصِيبُ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ صَغَارٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَعَذَابٌۭ شَدِيدٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَمْكُرُونَ

Wa izaa jaaa'athum Aayatun qaaloo lan nu'mina hatta nu'taa misla maaa ootiya Rusulul laah; Allahu a'almu haisu yaj'alu Risaalatah; sa yuseebul lazeena ajramoo saghaarun 'indal laahi wa 'azaabun shadeedum bimaa kaanoo yamkuroon

And when a token cometh unto them, they say: We will not believe till we are given that which Allah's messengers are given. Allah knoweth best with whom to place His message. Humiliation from Allah and heavy punishment will smite the guilty for their scheming.

اور جب آتی ہے انکے پاس کوئی آیت تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ہرگز نہ مانیں گےجب تک کہ نہ دیا جاوے ہم کو جیسا کچھ کہ دیا گیا ہے اللہ کے رسولوں کو اللہ خوب جانتا ہے اس موقع کو کہ جہاں بھیجے اپنے پیغام عنقریب پہنچے گی گنہگاروں کو ذلت اللہ کے ہاں اور عذاب سخت اس وجہ سےکہ وہ مکر کرتے تھے [۱۶۹]

فَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن يَهْدِيَهُۥ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُۥ لِلْإِسْلَٰمِ ۖ وَمَن يُرِدْ أَن يُضِلَّهُۥ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُۥ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًۭا كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجْعَلُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرِّجْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Famai yuridil laahu ai yahdiyahoo yashrah sadrahoo lil islaami wa mai yurid ai yudillaho yaj'al sadrahoo daiyiqan harajan ka annamaa yassa' 'adu fis samaaa'; kazaalika yaj'alul laahur rijsa 'alal lazeena la yu'minoon

And whomsoever it is Allah's will to guide, He expandeth his bosom unto the Surrender, and whomsoever it is His Will to send astray, He maketh his bosom close and narrow as if he were engaged in sheer ascent. Thus Allah layeth ignominy upon those who believe not.

سو جس کو اللہ چاہتا ہے کہ ہدایت کرے تو کھول دیتا ہے اسکے سینہ کو واسطے قبول کرنے اسلام کے اور جس کو چاہتا ہے کہ گمراہ کرے کر دیتا ہے اس کےسینہ کو تنگ بے نہایت تنگ گویا وہ زور سے چڑھتا ہے آسمان پر [۱۷۰] اسی طرح ڈالے گا اللہ عذاب کو ایمان نہ لانے والوں پر

وَهَٰذَا صِرَٰطُ رَبِّكَ مُسْتَقِيمًۭا ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍۢ يَذَّكَّرُونَ

Wa haazaa siraatu Rabbika Mustaqeemaa; qad fassalnal Aayaati liqawminy yazzakkaroon

This is the path of thy Lord, a straight path. We have detailed Our revelations for a people who take heed.

اور یہ رستہ ہے تیرے رب کا سیدھا ہم نے واضح کر دیا نشانیوں کو غور کرنے والوں کے واسطے [۱۷۱]

۞ لَهُمْ دَارُ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Lahum daarus salaami 'inda Rabbihim wa huwa waliyyuhum bimaa kaanoo ya'maloon

For them is the abode of peace with their Lord. He will be their Protecting Friend because of what they used to do.

انہی کے لئےہے سلامتی کا گھر اپنے رب کے ہاں اور وہ انکا مددگار ہے بسبب انکے اعمال کے [۱۷۲]

وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًۭا يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ قَدِ ٱسْتَكْثَرْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ ۖ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُم مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ رَبَّنَا ٱسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍۢ وَبَلَغْنَآ أَجَلَنَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا ۚ قَالَ ٱلنَّارُ مَثْوَىٰكُمْ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌۭ

Wa yamwa yahshuruhum jamee'ai yaa ma'sharal jinni qadistaksartum minal insi wa qaala awliyaaa'uhy minal insi Rabbanas tamta'a ba'dunaa biba'dinw wa balaghnaaa ajalannal lazeee ajjalta lanaa; qaalan Naaru maswaakum khaalideena feehaaa illaa maa shaaa'allaah; inna Rabbaka Hakeemun 'Aleem

In the day when He will gather them together (He will say): O ye assembly of the jinn! Many of humankind did ye seduce. And their adherents among humankind will say: Our Lord! We enjoyed one another, but now we have arrived at the appointed term which Thou appointedst for us. He will say: Fire is your home. Abide therein for ever, save him whom Allah willeth (to deliver). Lo! thy Lord is Wise, Aware.

اور جس دن جمع کرے گا ان سب کو فرمائے گا اے جماعت جنات کی تم نے بہت کچھ تابع کر لئے اپنے آدمیوں میں سے [۱۷۳] اور کہیں گے ان کے دوستدار آدمیوں میں سے اے رب ہمارے کام نکالا ہم میں ایک نے دوسرے سے اور ہم پہنچے اپنے اس وعدہ کو جو تو نے ہمارے لئے مقرر کیا تھا [۱۷۴] فرماوے گا آگ ہے گھر تمہارا رہا کرو گے اسی میں مگر جب چاہے اللہ [۱۷۵] البتہ تیرا رب حکمت والا خبردار ہے [۱۷۶]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُوَلِّى بَعْضَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ بَعْضًۢا بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ

Wa kazaalika nuwallee ba'daz zaalimeena ba'dam bimaa kaanoo yaksiboon

Thus We let some of the wrong-doers have power over others because of what they are wont to earn.

اور اسی طرح ہم ساتھ ملاویں گے گنہگاروں کو ایک کو دوسرے سے ان کے اعمال کے سبب [۱۷۷]

يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌۭ مِّنكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتِى وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا ۚ قَالُوا۟ شَهِدْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِنَا ۖ وَغَرَّتْهُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَشَهِدُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ كَٰفِرِينَ

Yaa ma'sharal jinni wal insi alam yaatikum Rusulum minkum yaqussoona 'alaikum Aayaatee wa yunziroonakum liqaaa'a Yawmikum haazaa; qaaloo shahidnaa 'alaaa anfusinaa wa gharrat humul hayaatud dunyaa wa shahidooo 'alaa anfusihim annahum kaanoo kaafireen

O ye assembly of the jinn and humankind! Came there not unto you messengers of your own who recounted unto you My tokens and warned you of the meeting of this your Day? They will say: We testify against ourselves. And the life of the world beguiled them. And they testify against themselves that they were disbelievers.

اے جماعت جنوں کی اور انسانوں کی کیا نہیں پہنچے تھے تمہارے پاس رسول تمہی میں سے کہ سناتے تھے تم کو میرے حکم اور ڈراتے تھے تم کو اس دن کے پیش آنے سے [۱۷۸] کہیں گے کہ ہم نے اقرار کر لیا اپنے گناہ کا اور ان کو دھوکا دیا دنیا کی زندگی نے [۱۷۹] اور قائل ہو گئے اپنے اوپر اس بات کے کہ وہ کافر تھے [۱۸۰]

ذَٰلِكَ أَن لَّمْ يَكُن رَّبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ ٱلْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍۢ وَأَهْلُهَا غَٰفِلُونَ

Zaalika al lam yakkur Rabbuka muhlikal quraa bizulminw wa ahluhaa ghaafiloon

This is because thy Lord destroyeth not the townships arbitrarily while their people are unconscious (of the wrong they do).

یہ اس واسطے کہ تیرا رب ہلاک کرنے والا نہیں بستیوں کو انکے ظلم پر اور وہاں کے لوگ بے خبر ہوں

وَلِكُلٍّۢ دَرَجَٰتٌۭ مِّمَّا عَمِلُوا۟ ۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ

Wa likullin darajaatum mimmaa 'amiloo; wa maa Rabbuka bighaafilin 'ammaa ya'maloon

For all there will be ranks from what they did. Thy Lord is not unaware of what they do.

اور ہر ایک کے لئے درجے ہیں انکے عمل کے اور تیرا رب بیخبر نہیں ان کے کام سے [۱۸۱]

وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ذُو ٱلرَّحْمَةِ ۚ إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ مِنۢ بَعْدِكُم مَّا يَشَآءُ كَمَآ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن ذُرِّيَّةِ قَوْمٍ ءَاخَرِينَ

Wa Rabbukal ghaniyyu zur rahmah; iny yashaaa yuz hibkum wa yastakhlif mim ba'dikum wa yastakhlif mim ba'dikum maa yashaaa'u kamaaa ansha akum min zurriyyati qawmin aakhareen

Thy Lord is the Absolute, the Lord of Mercy. If He will, He can remove you and can cause what He will to follow after you, even as He raised you from the seed of other folk.

اور تیرا رب بے پروا ہے رحمت والا اگر چاہے تو تم کو لے جاوے اور تمہارے پیچھے قائم کر دے جس کو چاہے جیسا تم کو پیدا کیا اوروں کی اولاد سے

إِنَّ مَا تُوعَدُونَ لَءَاتٍۢ ۖ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ

Inna maa too'adoona la aatinw wa maaa antum bimu'jizeen

Lo! that which ye are promised will surely come to pass, and ye cannot escape.

جس چیز کا تم سے وعدہ کیا جاتا ہے وہ ضرور آنے والا ہے اور تم عاجز نہیں کر سکتے [۱۸۲]

قُلْ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْمَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّى عَامِلٌۭ ۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَن تَكُونُ لَهُۥ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلدَّارِ ۗ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ

Qul yaa qawmi' maloo 'alaa makaanatikum innee 'aamilun fasawfa ta'lamoona man takoonu lahoo 'aaqibatud daar; innahoo laa yuflihuz zaalimoon

Say (O Muhammad): O my people! Work according to your power. Lo! I too am working. Thus ye will come to know for which of us will be the happy sequel. Lo! the wrong-doers will not be successful.

تو کہہ دے اے لوگو تم کام کرتے رہو اپنی جگہ پر میں بھی کام کرتا ہوں سو عنقریب جان لو گے تم کہ کس کو ملتا ہے عاقبت کا گھر بالیقین بھلا نہ ہوگا ظالموں کا [۱۸۳]

وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ مِمَّا ذَرَأَ مِنَ ٱلْحَرْثِ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ نَصِيبًۭا فَقَالُوا۟ هَٰذَا لِلَّهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهَٰذَا لِشُرَكَآئِنَا ۖ فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ فَلَا يَصِلُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ فَهُوَ يَصِلُ إِلَىٰ شُرَكَآئِهِمْ ۗ سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ

Wa ja'aloo lillaahi mimmaa zara-a minal harsi walan'aami naseeban faqaaloo haazaa lillaahi biza'mihim wa haaza lishurakaa'inaa famaa kaana lishurakaaa'ihim falaa yasilu ilal laahi wa maa kaana lillaahi fahuwa yasilu ilaa shurakaaa'ihim; saaa'a maa yahkumoon

They assign unto Allah, of the crops and cattle which He created, a portion, and they say: "This is Allah's" - in their make-believe - "and this is for (His) partners in regard to us." Thus that which (they assign) unto His partners in them reacheth not Allah and that which (they assign) unto Allah goeth to their (so-called) partners. Evil is their ordinance.

اور ٹھہراتے ہیں اللہ کا اس کی پیدا کی ہوئی کھیتی او رمواشی میں ایک حصہ پھر کہتے ہیں یہ حصہ اللہ کا ہے اپنے خیال میں اور یہ ہمارے شریکوں کا ہے سو جو حصہ ان کے شریکوں کا ہے وہ تو نہیں پہنچتا اللہ کی طرف اور جو اللہ کا ہے وہ پہنچ جاتا ہے ان کے شریکوں کی طرف کیا ہی برا انصاف کرتے ہیں [۱۸۴]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلَٰدِهِمْ شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ دِينَهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُ ۖ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ

Wa kazaalika zaiyana likaseerim minal mushrikeena qatla awlaadihim shurakaaa'uhum liyurdoohum wa liyalbisoo 'alaihim deenahum wa law shaaa'al laahu maa fa'aloohu fazarhum wa maa yaftaroon

Thus have their (so-called) partners (of Allah) made the killing of their children to seem fair unto many of the idolaters, that they may ruin them and make their faith obscure for them. Had Allah willed (it otherwise), they had not done so. So leave them alone with their devices.

اور اسی طرح مزین کر دیا بہت سے مشرکوں کی نگاہ میں ان کی اولاد کے قتل کو انکے شریکوں نے تاکہ ان کو ہلاک کریں اور رلا ملا دیں ان پر انکے دین کو [۱۸۵] اور اللہ چاہتا تو وہ یہ کام نہ کرتے سو چھوڑ دے وہ جانیں اور انکا جھوٹ [۱۸۶]

وَقَالُوا۟ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَنْعَٰمٌۭ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌۭ لَّا يَطْعَمُهَآ إِلَّا مَن نَّشَآءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَأَنْعَٰمٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُورُهَا وَأَنْعَٰمٌۭ لَّا يَذْكُرُونَ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا ٱفْتِرَآءً عَلَيْهِ ۚ سَيَجْزِيهِم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ

Wa qaaloo haaziheee an'aamunw wa harsun hijrun laa yat'amuhaaa illaa man nashaaa'u biza'mihim wa an'aamun hurrimat zuhooruhaa wa an'aamul laa yazkuroonas mal laahi 'alaihaf tiraaa'an 'alaih; sa yajzeehim bimaa kaanoo yaftaroon

And they say: Such cattle and crops are forbidden. No-one is to eat of them save whom we will - in their make-believe - cattle whose backs are forbidden, cattle over which they mention not the name of Allah. (All that is) a lie against Him. He will repay them for that which they invent.

اور کہتے ہیں کہ یہ مواشی اور کھیتی ممنوع ہے اس کو کوئی نہ کھاوے مگر جس کو ہم چاہیں انکے خیال کے موافق اور بعضے مواشی کی پیٹھ پر چڑھنا حرام کیا اور بعض مواشی کے ذبح کے وقت نام نہیں لیتے اللہ کا اللہ پر بہتان باندھ کر عنقریب وہ سزا دے گا انکو اس جھوٹ کی [۱۸۷]

وَقَالُوا۟ مَا فِى بُطُونِ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ خَالِصَةٌۭ لِّذُكُورِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَزْوَٰجِنَا ۖ وَإِن يَكُن مَّيْتَةًۭ فَهُمْ فِيهِ شُرَكَآءُ ۚ سَيَجْزِيهِمْ وَصْفَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌۭ

Wa qaaloo maa fee butooni haazihil an'aami khaalisatul lizukoorinaa wa muharramun 'alaaa azwaajinaa wa iny yakum maitatan fahum feehi shurakaaa'; sa yajzeehim wasfahum; innahoo Hakeemun 'Aleem

And they say: That which is in the bellies of such cattle is reserved for our males and is forbidden to our wives; but if it be born dead, then they (all) may be partakers thereof. He will reward them for their attribution (of such ordinances unto Him). Lo, He is Wise, Aware.

اور کہتے ہیں جو بچہ ان مویشی کے پیٹ میں ہے اس کو تو خاص ہمارے مرد ہی کھاویں اور وہ حرام ہے ہماری عورتوں پر اور جو بچہ مردہ ہو تو اس کے کھانے میں سب برابر ہیں وہ سزا دے گا ان کو ان تقریروں کی وہ حکمت والا جاننے والا ہے [۱۸۸]

قَدْ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَتَلُوٓا۟ أَوْلَٰدَهُمْ سَفَهًۢا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ وَحَرَّمُوا۟ مَا رَزَقَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱفْتِرَآءً عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ قَدْ ضَلُّوا۟ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُهْتَدِينَ

Qad khasiral lazeena qatalooo awlaadahum safaham bighairi 'ilminw wa harramoo maa razaqahumul laahuf tiraaa'an 'alal laah; qad dalloo wa maa kaanoo muhtadeen

They are losers who besottedly have slain their children without knowledge, and have forbidden that which Allah bestowed upon them, inventing a lie against Allah. They indeed have gone astray and are not guided.

بیشک خراب ہوئے جنہوں نے قتل کیا اپنی اولاد کو نادانی سے بغیر سمجھے اور حرام ٹھہرا لیا اس رزق کو جو اللہ نے انکو دیا بہتان باندھ کر اللہ پر بیشک وہ گمراہ ہوئے اور نہ آئے سیدھی راہ پر [۱۸۹]

۞ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَ جَنَّٰتٍۢ مَّعْرُوشَٰتٍۢ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَٰتٍۢ وَٱلنَّخْلَ وَٱلزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُۥ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَٰبِهًۭا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَٰبِهٍۢ ۚ كُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَءَاتُوا۟ حَقَّهُۥ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِۦ ۖ وَلَا تُسْرِفُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

Wa Huwal lazee ansha-a jannaatim ma'rooshaatinw wa ghaira ma'rooshaatinw wan nakhla wazzar'a mukhtalifan ukuluhoo wazzaitoona warrum maana mutashaabihanw wa ghaira mutashaabih; kuloo min samariheee izaaa asmara wa aatoo haqqahoo yawma hasaadihee wa laa tusrifoo; innahoo laa yuhibbul musrifeen

He it is Who produceth gardens trellised and untrellised, and the date-palm, and crops of divers flavour, and the olive and the pomegranate, like and unlike. Eat ye of the fruit thereof when it fruiteth, and pay the due thereof upon the harvest day, and be not prodigal. Lo! Allah loveth not the prodigals.

اور اسی نے پیدا کئے باغ جو ٹٹیوں پر چڑھائے جاتے ہیں اور جو ٹٹیوں پر نہیں چڑھائے جاتے [۱۹۰] اور کھجور کے درخت اور کھیتی کہ مختلف ہیں انکے پھل اور پیدا کیا زیتون کو اور انار کو ایک دوسرے کے مشابہ اور جدا جدا بھی [۱۹۱] کھاؤ انکے پھل میں سے جس وقت پھل لاویں اور ادا کرو ان کا حق جس دن ان کو کاٹو اور بیجا خرچ نہ کرو اس کو خوش نہیں آتے بیجا خرچ کرنے والے [۱۹۲]

وَمِنَ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ حَمُولَةًۭ وَفَرْشًۭا ۚ كُلُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

Wa minal an'aami hamoolatanw wa farshaa; kuloo mimmaa razaqakumul laahu wa laa tattabi'oo khutuwaatish Shaitaan; innahoo lakum 'aduwwum mubeen

And of the cattle (He produceth) some for burdens, some for food. Eat of that which Allah hath bestowed upon you, and follow not the footsteps of the devil, for lo! he is an open foe to you.

اور پیدا کئے مواشی میں بوجھ اٹھانے والے اور زمین سے لگے ہوئے [۱۹۳] کھاؤ اللہ کے رزق میں سے اور مت چلو شیطان کے قدموں پر وہ تمہارا دشمن ہے صریح [۱۹۴]

ثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَزْوَٰجٍۢ ۖ مِّنَ ٱلضَّأْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ ٱلْمَعْزِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۗ قُلْ ءَآلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا ٱشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ ۖ نَبِّـُٔونِى بِعِلْمٍ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

Samaaniyata azwaaj minad daanis naini wa minal ma'zis nain; qul 'aazzaka raini harrama amil unsaiyayni ammash tamalat 'alaihi arhaamul unsayaini nabbi 'oonee bi'ilmin in kuntum saadiqeen

Eight pairs: Of the sheep twain, and of the goats twain. Say: Hath He forbidden the two males or the two females, or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Expound to me (the case) with knowledge, if ye are truthful.

پیدا کئے آٹھ نر اور مادہ بھیڑ میں سے دو [۱۹۵] اور بکری میں سے دو پوچھ تو کہ دونوں نر اللہ نے حرام کئے ہیں یا دونوں مادہ یا وہ بچہ کہ اس پر مشتمل ہیں بچہ دان دونوں مادہ کے بتلاؤ مجھ کو سند اگر تم سچے ہو [۱۹۶]

وَمِنَ ٱلْإِبِلِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ ٱلْبَقَرِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۗ قُلْ ءَآلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا ٱشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ ۖ أَمْ كُنتُمْ شُهَدَآءَ إِذْ وَصَّىٰكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا ۚ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًۭا لِّيُضِلَّ ٱلنَّاسَ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Wa minal ibilis naini wa minal baqaris nain; qul 'aaazzakaraini harrama amil unsayaini ammash tamalat 'alaihi arhaamul unsayaini am kuntum shuhadaaa'a iz wassaakumul laahu bihaazaa; faman azlamu mimmanif taraa 'alal laahi kazibal liyuddillan naasa bighari 'ilm; innal laaha laa yahdil qawmaz zaalimeen

And of the camels twain and of the oxen twain. Say: Hath He forbidden the two males or the two females, or that which the wombs of the two females contain; or were ye by to witness when Allah commanded you (all) this? Then who doth greater wrong than he who deviseth a lie concerning Allah, that he may lead mankind astray without knowledge. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.

اور پیدا کئے اونٹ میں سے دو اور گائے میں سے دو پوچھ تو دونوں نر حرام کئے ہیں یا دونوں مادہ یا وہ بچہ کہ اس پر مشتمل ہیں بچہ دان دونوں مادہ کے کیا تم حاضر تھے جس وقت تم کو اللہ نے یہ حکم دیا تھا پھر اس سے زیادہ ظالم کون جو بہتان باندھے اللہ پر جھوٹا تاکہ لوگوں کو گمراہ کرے بلاتحقیق بیشک اللہ ہدایت نہیں کرتا ظالم لوگوں کو [۱۹۷]

قُل لَّآ أَجِدُ فِى مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَىٰ طَاعِمٍۢ يَطْعَمُهُۥٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَكُونَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دَمًۭا مَّسْفُوحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنزِيرٍۢ فَإِنَّهُۥ رِجْسٌ أَوْ فِسْقًا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦ ۚ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍۢ وَلَا عَادٍۢ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Qul laaa ajidu fee maaa oohiya ilaiya muharraman 'alaa taa'iminy yat'amuhooo illaaa ai yakoona maitatan aw damam masfoohan aw lahma khinzeerin fa innahoo rijsun aw fisqan uhilla lighairil laahi bih; famanid turra ghaira baa ghinw wa laa 'aadin fa inna Rabbaka Ghafoorur Raheem

Say: I find not in that which is revealed unto me aught prohibited to an eater that he eat thereof, except it be carrion, or blood poured forth, or swineflesh - for that verily is foul - or the abomination which was immolated to the name of other than Allah. But whoso is compelled (thereto), neither craving nor transgressing, (for him) lo! thy Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.

تو کہہ دے کہ میں نہیں پاتا اس وحی میں کہ مجھ کو پہنچی ہے کسی چیز کو حرام کھانے والے پر جو اس کو کھاوے مگر یہ کہ وہ چیز مردار ہو یا بہتا ہوا خون یا گوشت سور کا کہ وہ ناپاک ہے یا ناجائز ذبیحہ جس پر نام پکارا جاوے اللہ کے سوا کسی اور کا پھر جو کوئی بھوک سے بے اختیار ہو جاوے نہ نافرمانی کرے اور نہ زیادتی تو تیرا رب بڑا معاف کرنے والا ہے نہایت مہربان [۱۹۸]

وَعَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ حَرَّمْنَا كُلَّ ذِى ظُفُرٍۢ ۖ وَمِنَ ٱلْبَقَرِ وَٱلْغَنَمِ حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ شُحُومَهُمَآ إِلَّا مَا حَمَلَتْ ظُهُورُهُمَآ أَوِ ٱلْحَوَايَآ أَوْ مَا ٱخْتَلَطَ بِعَظْمٍۢ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ جَزَيْنَٰهُم بِبَغْيِهِمْ ۖ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ

Wa 'alal lazeena haadoo harramnaa kulla zee zufurinw wa minal baqari walghanami harramnaa 'alihim shuh oomahumaaa illaa maa hamalat zuhooruhumaaa awil hawaayaaa aw makhtalata bi'azm zaalika jazainaahum bibaghyihim wa innaa lasaa diqoon

Unto those who are Jews We forbade every animal with claws. And of the oxen and the sheep forbade We unto them the fat thereof save that upon the backs or the entrails, or that which is mixed with the bone. That we awarded them for their rebellion. And lo! we verily are truthful.

اور یہود پر ہم نے حرام کیا تھا ہر ایک ناخن والا جانور اور گائے اور بکری میں سے حرام کی تھی ان کی چربی مگر جو لگی ہو پشت پر یا انتڑیوں پر یا جو چربی کہ ملی ہو ہڈی کے ساتھ یہ ہم نے انکو سزا دی تھی انکی شرارت پر اور ہم سچ کہتے ہیں [۱۹۹]

فَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل رَّبُّكُمْ ذُو رَحْمَةٍۢ وَٰسِعَةٍۢ وَلَا يُرَدُّ بَأْسُهُۥ عَنِ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

Fa in kazzabooka faqur Rabbukum zoo rahmatinw waasi'atinw waasi'atinw wa laa yuraddu baasuhoo 'anil qawmil mujrimeen

So if they give the lie to thee (Muhammad), say: Your Lord is a Lord of All-Embracing Mercy, and His wrath will never be withdrawn from guilty folk.

پھر اگر تجھ کو جھٹلاویں تو کہہ دے کہ تمہارے رب کی رحمت میں بڑی وسعت ہے اور نہیں ٹلے گا اس کا عذاب گنہگار لوگوں سے [۲۰۰]

سَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَآ أَشْرَكْنَا وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمْنَا مِن شَىْءٍۢ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ ذَاقُوا۟ بَأْسَنَا ۗ قُلْ هَلْ عِندَكُم مِّنْ عِلْمٍۢ فَتُخْرِجُوهُ لَنَآ ۖ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَإِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا تَخْرُصُونَ

Sayaqoolul lazeena ashrakoo law shaaa'al laahu maaa ashraknaa wa laaa aabaa'unaa wa laa harramnaa min shai'; kazaalika kazzabal lazeena min qablihim hattaa zaaqoo baasanaa; qul hal 'indakum min 'ilmin fatukh rijoohu lanaa in tattabi'oona illaz zanna wa in antum illaa takhhrusoon

They who are idolaters will say: Had Allah willed, we had not ascribed (unto Him) partners neither had our fathers, nor had we forbidden aught. Thus did those who were before them give the lie (to Allah's messengers) till they tasted of the fear of Us. Say: Have ye any knowledge that ye can adduce for Us? Lo! ye follow naught but an opinion, Lo! ye do but guess.

اب کہیں گے مشرک اگر اللہ چاہتا تو شرک نہ کرتے ہم اور نہ ہمارےباپ دادے اور نہ ہم حرام کر لیتے کوئی چیز اسی طرح جھٹلایا کئے ان سےاگلے یہاں تک کہ انہوں نے چکھا ہمارا عذاب تو کہہ کچھ علم بھی ہے تمہارے پاس کہ اس کو ہمارے آگے ظاہر کرو تم تو نری اٹکل پر چلتے ہو اور صرف تخمینے ہی کرتے ہو

قُلْ فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْحُجَّةُ ٱلْبَٰلِغَةُ ۖ فَلَوْ شَآءَ لَهَدَىٰكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

Qul falillaahil hujjatul baalighatu falaw shaaa'a lahadaakum ajma'een

Say - For Allah's is the final argument - Had He willed He could indeed have guided all of you.

تو کہہ دے بس اللہ کا الزام پورا ہے سو اگر وہ چاہتا تو ہدایت کر دیتا تم سب کو [۲۰۱]

قُلْ هَلُمَّ شُهَدَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ حَرَّمَ هَٰذَا ۖ فَإِن شَهِدُوا۟ فَلَا تَشْهَدْ مَعَهُمْ ۚ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ

Qul halumma shuhadaaa'akumul lazeena yash hadoona annal laaha harrama haazaa fa in shahidoo falaa tashhad ma'ahum; wa laa tattabi' ahwaaa'al lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa wallazeena laa yu'minoona bil Aakhirati wa hum bi Rabbihim ya'diloon

Say: Come, bring your witnesses who can bear witness that Allah forbade (all) this. And if they bear witness, do not thou bear witness with them. Follow thou not the whims of those who deny Our revelations, those who believe not in the Hereafter and deem (others) equal with their Lord.

تو کہہ کہ لاؤ اپنے گواہ جو گواہی دیں اس بات کی اللہ نے حرام کیا ہے ان چیزوں کو پھر اگر وہ ایسی گواہی دیں بھی تو تو نہ اعتبار کر ان کا اور نہ چل ان کی خوشی پر جنہوں نے جھٹلایا ہمارے حکموں کو اور جو یقین نہینں کرتے آخرت کا اور وہ اپنے رب کے برابر کرتے ہیں اوروں کو [۲۰۲]

۞ قُلْ تَعَالَوْا۟ أَتْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ أَلَّا تُشْرِكُوا۟ بِهِۦ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ إِحْسَٰنًۭا ۖ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوٓا۟ أَوْلَٰدَكُم مِّنْ إِمْلَٰقٍۢ ۖ نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكُمْ وَإِيَّاهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ ۖ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلنَّفْسَ ٱلَّتِى حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ

Qul ta'aalaw atlu maa harrama Rabbukum 'alaikum allaa tushrikoo bihee shai'anw wa bilwaalidaini ihsaananw wa laa taqtulooo aw alaadakum min imlaaq; nahnu narzuqukum wa iyyaahum wa laa taqrabul fawaahisha maa zahara minhaa wa maa batana wa laa taqtulun nafsal latee harramal laahu illaa bilhaqq; zaalikum wassaakum bihee la'allakum ta'qiloon

Say: Come, I will recite unto you that which your Lord hath made a sacred duty for you: That ye ascribe no thing as partner unto Him and that ye do good to parents, and that ye slay not your children because of penury - We provide for you and for them - and that ye draw not nigh to lewd things whether open or concealed. And that ye slay not the life which Allah hath made sacred, save in the course of justice. This He hath command you, in order that ye may discern.

تو کہہ تم آؤ میں سنا دوں جو حرام کیا ہے تم پر تمہارے رب نے کہ شریک نہ کرو اسکے ساتھ کسی چیز کو اور ماں باپ کے ساتھ نیکی کرو اور مار نہ ڈالو اپنی اولاد کو مفلسی سے ہم رزق دیتے ہیں تم کو اور ان کو [۲۰۳] اور پاس نہ جاؤ بیحیائی کے کام کے جو ظاہر ہو اس میں سے اور جو پوشیدہ ہو [۲۰۴] اور مار نہ ڈالو اس جان کو جس کو حرام کیا ہے اللہ نے مگر حق پر [۲۰۵] تم کو یہ حکم کیا ہے تاکہ تم سمجھو [۲۰۶]

وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ مَالَ ٱلْيَتِيمِ إِلَّا بِٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ أَشُدَّهُۥ ۖ وَأَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَٱلْمِيزَانَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۖ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۖ وَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَٱعْدِلُوا۟ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ ۖ وَبِعَهْدِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْفُوا۟ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ

Wa laa taqraboo maalal yateemi illaa billatee hiyaa ahsanu hattaa yablugha ashuddahoo wa awful kaila walmeezaana bilqisti laa nukallifu nafsan illaa wus'ahaa wa izaa qultum fa'diloo wa law kaana zaa qurbaa wa bi 'ahdil laahi awfoo; zaalikum wassaakum bihee la'allakum tazakkarron

And approach not the wealth of the orphan save with that which is better, till he reach maturity. Give full measure and full weight, in justice. We task not any soul beyond its scope. And if ye give your word, do justice thereunto, even though it be (against) a kinsman; and fulfil the covenant of Allah. This He commandeth you that haply ye may remember.

اور پاس نہ جاؤ یتیم کے مال کے مگر اس طرح سے کہ بہتر ہو یہاں تک کہ پہنچ جاوے اپنی جوانی کو [۲۰۷] اور پورا کرو ماپ اور تول کو انصاف سے ہم کسی کے ذمہ وہی چیز لازم کرتے ہیں جسکی اسکو طاقت ہو [۲۰۸] اور جب بات کہو تو حق کی کہو اگرچہ وہ اپنا قریب ہی ہو [۲۰۹] اور اللہ کا عہد پورا کرو [۲۱۰] تم کو یہ حکم کر دیا ہے تاکہ تم نصیحت پکڑو

وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطِى مُسْتَقِيمًۭا فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ ٱلسُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

Wa annna haazaa Siraatee mustaqeeman fattabi'oohu wa laa tattabi'us subula fatafarraqa bikum 'an sabeelih; zaalikum wassaakum bihee la'allakum tattaqoon

And (He commandeth you, saying): This is My straight path, so follow it. Follow not other ways, lest ye be parted from His way. This hath He ordained for you, that ye may ward off (evil).

اور حکم کیا کہ یہ راہ ہے میری سیدھی سو اس پر چلو اور مت چلو اور رستوں پر کہ وہ تم کو جدا کر دیں گے اللہ کے راستہ سے [۲۱۱] یہ حکم کر دیا ہے تم کو تاکہ تم بچتے رہو

ثُمَّ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ تَمَامًا عَلَى ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحْسَنَ وَتَفْصِيلًۭا لِّكُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَهُدًۭى وَرَحْمَةًۭ لَّعَلَّهُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Summa aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba tammaaman 'alal lazeee ahsana wa tafseelal likulli shai'inw wa hudanw wa rahmatal la'allahum biliqaaa'i Rabbihim yu'minoon

Again, We gave the Scripture unto Moses, complete for him who would do good, an explanation of all things, a guidance and a mercy, that they might believe in the meeting with their Lord.

پھر دی ہم نے موسٰی کو کتاب واسطے پورا کرنے نعمت کے نیک کام والوں پر اور واسطے تفصیل ہر شے کے اور ہدایت اور رحمت کے لئے تاکہ وہ لوگ اپنے رب کے ملنے کا یقین کریں [۲۱۲]

وَهَٰذَا كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ مُبَارَكٌۭ فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

Wa haazaa Kitaabun anzalnaahu Mubaarakun fattabi'oohu wattaqoo la'al lakum urhamoon

And this is a blessed Scripture which We have revealed. So follow it and ward off (evil), that ye may find mercy.

اور ایک یہ کتاب ہے کہ ہم نے اتاری برکت والی سو اس پر چلو اور ڈرتے رہو تاکہ تم پر رحمت ہو [۲۱۳]

أَن تَقُولُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أُنزِلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبُ عَلَىٰ طَآئِفَتَيْنِ مِن قَبْلِنَا وَإِن كُنَّا عَن دِرَاسَتِهِمْ لَغَٰفِلِينَ

An taqooloo innammaaa unzilal Kitaabu 'alaa taaa'ifataini min qablinaa wa in kunnaa 'an diraasatihim laghaafileen

Lest ye should say: The Scripture was revealed only to two sects before us, and we in sooth were unaware of what they read;

اس واسطے کہ کبھی تم کہنے لگو کہ کتاب جو اتری تھی سو ان ہی دو فرقوں پر جو ہم سے پہلے تھے اور ہم کو تو ان کے پڑھنے پڑھانے کی خبر ہی نہ تھی [۲۱۴]

أَوْ تَقُولُوا۟ لَوْ أَنَّآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا ٱلْكِتَٰبُ لَكُنَّآ أَهْدَىٰ مِنْهُمْ ۚ فَقَدْ جَآءَكُم بَيِّنَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَهُدًۭى وَرَحْمَةٌۭ ۚ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَصَدَفَ عَنْهَا ۗ سَنَجْزِى ٱلَّذِينَ يَصْدِفُونَ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا سُوٓءَ ٱلْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْدِفُونَ

Aw taqooloo law annaaa unzila 'alainal kitaabu lakunnaaa ahdaa minhum; faqad jaaa'akum baiyinatum mir Rabbikum wa hudanw wa rahmah; faman azlamu mimman kazzaba bi Aayaatil laahi wa sadaf 'anhaa; sanajzil lazeena yasdifoona 'an Aayaatinaa sooo'al 'azaabi bimaa kaanoo yasdifoon

Or lest ye should say: If the Scripture had been revealed unto us, we surely had been better guided than are they. Now hath there come unto you a clear proof from your Lord, a guidance and mercy; and who doeth greater wrong than he who denieth the revelations of Allah, and turneth away from them? We award unto those who turn away from Our revelations an evil doom because of their aversion.

یا کہنے لگو کہ اگر ہم پر اترتی کتاب تو ہم تو راہ پر چلتے ان سے بہتر سو آ چکی تمہارے پاس حجت تمہارے رب کی طرف سے اور ہدایت اور رحمت [۲۱۵] اب اس سے زیادہ ظالم کون جو جھٹلاوے اللہ کی آیتوں کو اور ان سے کتراوے ہم سزا دیں گے ان کو جو ہماری آیتوں سے کتراتے ہیں برا عذاب بدلے میں اس کترانے کے [۲۱۶]

هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّآ أَن تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِىَ رَبُّكَ أَوْ يَأْتِىَ بَعْضُ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّكَ ۗ يَوْمَ يَأْتِى بَعْضُ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّكَ لَا يَنفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَٰنُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ ءَامَنَتْ مِن قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِىٓ إِيمَٰنِهَا خَيْرًۭا ۗ قُلِ ٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟ إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَ

hal yanzuroona illaaa an taatiyahumul malaaa'ikatu aw yaatiya Rabbuka aw yaatiya ba'du Aayaati Rabbik; yawma yaatee ba'du Aayaati Rabbika laa yanfa'u nafsan eemaanuhaa lam takun aamanat min qablu aw kasabat feee eemaanihaa khairaa; qulin tazirooo innaa muntaziroon

Wait they, indeed, for nothing less than that the angels should come unto them, or thy Lord should come, or there should come one of the portents from thy Lord? In the day when one of the portents from thy Lord cometh, its belief availeth naught a soul which theretofore believed not, nor in its belief earned good (by works). Say: Wait ye! Lo! We (too) are waiting.

کاہے کی راہ دیکھتے ہیں لوگ مگر یہی کہ ان پر آئیں فرشتے یا آئے تیرا رب یا آئے کوئی نشانی تیرے رب کی جس دن آئے گی ایک نشانی تیرے رب کی کام نہ آئے گا کسی کے اس کا ایمان لانا جو کہ پہلے سے ایمان نہ لایاتھا یا اپنے ایمان میں کچھ نیکی نہ کی تھی تو کہہ دے تم راہ دیکھو ہم بھی راہ دیکھتے ہیں [۲۱۷]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا۟ شِيَعًۭا لَّسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِى شَىْءٍ ۚ إِنَّمَآ أَمْرُهُمْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ

Innal lazeena farraqoo deenahum wa kaanoo shiya'allasta minhum fee shai'; innamaaa amruhum ilallaahi summma yunabbi'uhum bimaa kaanoo yaf'aloon

Lo! As for those who sunder their religion and become schismatics, no concern at all hast thou with them. Their case will go to Allah, Who then will tell them what they used to do.

جنہوں نے راہیں نکالیں اپنے دین میں اور ہو گئے بہت سے فرقے تجھ کو ان سےکچھ سروکار نہیں ان کا کام اللہ ہی کے حوالے ہے پھر وہی جتلائے گا ان کو جو کچھ وہ کرتے تھے [۲۱۸]

مَن جَآءَ بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ عَشْرُ أَمْثَالِهَا ۖ وَمَن جَآءَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ فَلَا يُجْزَىٰٓ إِلَّا مِثْلَهَا وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ

man jaaa'a bilhasanati falahoo 'ashru amsaalihaa wa man jaaa'a bissaiyi'ati falaa yujzaaa illaa mislahaa wa hum laa yuzlamoon

Whoso bringeth a good deed will receive tenfold the like thereof, while whoso bringeth an ill-deed will be awarded but the like thereof; and they will not be wronged.

جو کوئی لاتا ہے ایک نیکی تو اسکے لئے اس کا دس گنا ہے اور جو کوئی لاتا ہے ایک برائی سو سزا پائے گا اسی کے برابر اور ان پر ظلم نہ ہو گا [۲۱۹]

قُلْ إِنَّنِى هَدَىٰنِى رَبِّىٓ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ دِينًۭا قِيَمًۭا مِّلَّةَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ حَنِيفًۭا ۚ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

Qul innanee hadaanee Rabbeee ilaa Siraatim Mustaqeemin deenan qiyamam Millata Ibraaheema haneefaa; wa maa kaana minal mushrikeen

Say: Lo! As for me, my Lord hath guided me unto a straight path, a right religion, the community of Abraham, the upright, who was no idolater.

تو کہہ دے مجھ کو سجھائی میرے رب نے راہ سیدھی دین صحیح ملت ابراہیم کی جو ایک ہی طرف کا تھا [۲۲۰] اور نہ تھا شرک والوں میں [۲۲۱]

قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِى وَنُسُكِى وَمَحْيَاىَ وَمَمَاتِى لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Qul inna Salaatee wa nusukee wa mahyaaya wa mamaatee lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen

Say: Lo! my worship and my sacrifice and my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the Worlds.

تو کہہ کہ میری نماز اور میری قربانی اور میرا جینا اور مرنا اللہ ہی کے لئے ہے جو پالنے والا سارے جہان کا ہے

لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُۥ ۖ وَبِذَٰلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

Laa shareeka lahoo wa bizaalika umirtu wa ana awwalul muslimeen

He hath no partner. This am I commanded, and I am first of those who surrender (unto Him).

کوئی نہیں اس کا شریک [۲۲۲] اور یہی مجھ کو حکم ہوا اور میں سب سے پہلے فرمانبردار ہوں [۲۲۳]

قُلْ أَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبْغِى رَبًّۭا وَهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ ۚ وَلَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ إِلَّا عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌۭ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ۚ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُم مَّرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ

Qul aghairal laahi abhee Rabbanw wa Huwa Rabbu kulli shai'; wa laa taksibu kullu nafsin illaa 'alaihaa; wa laa taziru waaziratunw wizra ukhraa; summa ilaa Rabbikum marji'ukum fa yunabbi'ukum bimaa kuntum feehi takhtalifoon

Say: Shall I seek another than Allah for Lord, when He is Lord of all things? Each soul earneth only on its own account, nor doth any laden bear another's load. Then unto your Lord is your return and He will tell you that wherein ye differed.

تو کہہ کیا اب میں اللہ کے سوا تلاش کروں کوئی رب اور وہی ہے رب ہر چیز کا [۲۲۴] اور جو کوئی گناہ کرتا ہے سو وہ اس کے ذمہ پر ہے اور بوجھ نہ اٹھائے گا ایک شخص دوسرے کا پھر تمہارے رب کے پاس ہی تم سب کو لوٹ کر جانا ہے سو وہ جتلائے گا جس بات میں تم جھگڑتے تھے [۲۲۵]

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَٰٓئِفَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَكُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍۢ دَرَجَٰتٍۢ لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِى مَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْعِقَابِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَغَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۢ

Wa Huwal lazee ja'alakum khalaaa'ifal ardi wa rafa'a ba'dakum fawqa ba'din darajaatil liyabluwakum fee maaa aataakum; inna Rabbaka saree'ul 'iqaab; wa innahoo la Ghafoorur Raheem

He it is Who hath placed you as viceroys of the earth and hath exalted some of you in rank above others, that He may try you by (the test of) that which He hath given you. Lo! Thy Lord is swift in prosecution, and Lo! He verily is Forgiving, Merciful.

اور اسی نے تم کو نائب کیا ہے زمین میں [۲۲۶] اور بلند کر دیے تم میں درجے ایک کے ایک پر [۲۲۷] تاکہ آزمائے تم کو اپنی دیئے ہوئے حکموں میں تیرا رب جلد عذاب کرنے والا ہے اور وہی بخشنے والا مہربان ہے [۲۲۸]
