Al-Jumu'a

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلْمَلِكِ ٱلْقُدُّوسِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ

Yusabbihu lilaahi maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardil Malikil Quddoosil 'Azeezil Hakeem

All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah, the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One, the Mighty, the Wise.

اللہ کی پاکی بولتا ہے جو کچھ کہ ہے آسمانوں میں اورجو کچھ کہ ہے زمین میں بادشاہ پاک ذات زبردست حکمتوں والا

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ فِى ٱلْأُمِّيِّۦنَ رَسُولًۭا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَإِن كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ لَفِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

Huwal lazee ba'asa fil ummiyyeena Rasoolam min hum yatloo 'alaihim aayaatihee wa yuzakkeehim wa yu'allimuhumul Kitaaba wal Hikmata wa in kaano min qablu lafee dalaalim mubeen

He it is Who hath sent among the unlettered ones a messenger of their own, to recite unto them His revelations and to make them grow, and to teach them the Scripture and wisdom, though heretofore they were indeed in error manifest,

وہی ہے جس نے اٹھایا ان پڑھوں میں ایک رسول انہی میں کا پڑھ کر سناتا ہے اُنکو اُسکی آیتیں اور انکو سنوارتا ہے اور سکھلاتا ہے اُنکو کتاب اور عقلمندی اور اس سے پہلے وہ پڑے ہوئے تھے صریح بھول میں [۱]

وَءَاخَرِينَ مِنْهُمْ لَمَّا يَلْحَقُوا۟ بِهِمْ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

Wa aakhareena minhum lammaa yalhaqoo bihim wa huwal 'azeezul hakeem

Along with others of them who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise.

اور اٹھایا اس رسول کو ایک دوسرے لوگوں کے واسطے بھی انہی میں سےجو ابھی نہیں ملے ان میں [۲] اور وہی ہے زبردست حکمت والا [۳]

ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

Zaalika fadlul laahi yu'teehi many-yashaaa; wallaahu zul fadil 'azeem

That is the bounty of Allah; which He giveth unto whom He will. Allah is of Infinite Bounty.

یہ بڑائی اللہ کی ہے دیتا ہے جسکو چاہے اور اللہ کا فضل بڑا ہے [۴]

مَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ حُمِّلُوا۟ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحْمِلُوهَا كَمَثَلِ ٱلْحِمَارِ يَحْمِلُ أَسْفَارًۢا ۚ بِئْسَ مَثَلُ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Masalul lazeena hum milut tawraata summa lam yahmiloonhaa kamasalil himaari yah milu asfaaraa; bi'sa masalul qawmil lazeena kaazzaboo bi aayaatil laah; wallaahu laa yahdil qawmazzaalimeen

The likeness of those who are entrusted with the Law of Moses, yet apply it not, is as the likeness of the ass carrying books. Wretched is the likeness of folk who deny the revelations of Allah. And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.

مثال ان لوگوں کی جن پر لادی توریت پھر نہ اٹھائی انہوں نے جیسے مثال گدھے کی کہ پیٹھ پر لے چلتا ہے کتابیں [۵] بری مثال ہے اُن لوگوں کی [۶] جنہوں نے جھٹلایا اللہ کی باتوں کو [۷] اور اللہ راہ نہیں دیتا بے انصاف لوگوں کو [۸]

قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوٓا۟ إِن زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ لِلَّهِ مِن دُونِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا۟ ٱلْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

Qul yaaa ayyuhal lazeena haadoo in za'amtum annakum awliyaaa'u lilaahi min doonin naasi fatamannawul mawta in kuntum saadiqeen

Say (O Muhammad): O ye who are Jews! If ye claim that ye are favoured of Allah apart from (all) mankind, then long for death if ye are truthful.

تو کہہ اے یہودی ہونے والو اگر تم کو دعوٰی ہے کہ تم دوست ہو اللہ کے سب لوگوں کے سوائے تو مناؤ اپنے مرنے کو اگر تم سچے ہو

وَلَا يَتَمَنَّوْنَهُۥٓ أَبَدًۢا بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌۢ بِٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Wa laa yatamannaw nahooo abadam bimaa qaddamat aydeehim; wallaahu 'aleemum bix zaalimeen

But they will never long for it because of all that their own hands have sent before, and Allah is Aware of evil-doers.

اور وہ کبھی نہ منائیں گے اپنا مرنا اُن کاموں کی وجہ سے جنکو آگے بھیج چکے ہیں اُنکے ہاتھ اور اللہ کو خوب معلوم ہیں سب گنہگار [۹]

قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْمَوْتَ ٱلَّذِى تَفِرُّونَ مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ مُلَٰقِيكُمْ ۖ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَٰلِمِ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Qul innal mawtal lazee tafirroona minhu fa innahoo mulaaqeekum summa turaddoona ilaa 'Aalimil Ghaibi wash shahaadati fa yunabbi'ukum bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! the death from which ye shrink will surely meet you, and afterward ye will be returned unto the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, and He will tell you what ye used to do.

تو کہہ موت وہ جس سے تم بھاگتے ہو وہ تم سے ضرور ملنے والی ہے پھر تم پھیرے جاؤ گے اس سے چھپے اور کھلے جاننے والے کے پاس پھر جتلا دے گا تم کو جو تم کرتے تھے [۱۰]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا نُودِىَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوْمِ ٱلْجُمُعَةِ فَٱسْعَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُوا۟ ٱلْبَيْعَ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanoo izaa noodiya lis-Salaati miny yawmil Jumu'ati fas'aw ilaa zikril laahi wa zarul bai'; zaalikum khayrul lakum in kuntum ta'lamoon

O ye who believe! When the call is heard for the prayer of the day of congregation, haste unto remembrance of Allah and leave your trading. That is better for you if ye did but know.

اے ایمان والو جب اذان ہو نماز کی جمعہ کے دن تو دوڑو اللہ کی یاد کو اور چھوڑ دو خرید و فروخت [۱۱] یہ بہتر ہے تمہارے حق میں اگر تم کو سمجھ ہے [۱۲]

فَإِذَا قُضِيَتِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةُ فَٱنتَشِرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًۭا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

Fa-izaa qudiyatis Salaatu fantashiroo fil ardi wabtaghoo min fadlil laahi wazkurul laaha kaseeral la'allakum tuflihoon

And when the prayer is ended, then disperse in the land and seek of Allah's bounty, and remember Allah much, that ye may be successful.

پھر جب تمام ہو چکے نماز تو پھیل پڑو زمین میں اور ڈھونڈو فضل اللہ کا اور یاد کرو اللہ کو بہت سا تاکہ تمہارا بھلا ہو [۱۳]

وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ تِجَٰرَةً أَوْ لَهْوًا ٱنفَضُّوٓا۟ إِلَيْهَا وَتَرَكُوكَ قَآئِمًۭا ۚ قُلْ مَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهْوِ وَمِنَ ٱلتِّجَٰرَةِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ

Wa izaa ra'aw tijaaratan aw lahwanin faddooo ilaihaa wa tarakooka qaaa'imaa; qul maa 'indal laahi khairum minal lahwi wa minat tijaarah; wallaahu khayrur raaziqeen

But when they spy some merchandise or pastime they break away to it and leave thee standing. Say: That which Allah hath is better than pastime and than merchandise, and Allah is the Best of providers.

اور جب دیکھیں سودا بکتا یا کچھ تماشا متفرق ہو جائیں اُسکی طرف اور تجھ کو چھوڑ جائیں کھڑا تو کہہ جو اللہ کے پاس ہے سو بہتر ہے تماشے سے اور سوداگری سے اور اللہ بہتر ہے روزی دینے والا [۱۴]
