Mutual loss and gain, and a calamity already written.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ لَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌ
Yusabbihu lillaahi maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi lahul mulku wa lahul hamd, wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shai 'in Qadeer
All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah; unto Him belongeth Sovereignty and unto Him belongeth praise, and He is Able to do all things.
پاکی بول رہا ہے اللہ کی جو کچھ ہے آسمانوں میں اور جو کچھ ہے زمین میں اُسی کا راج ہے اور اُسی کی تعریف ہے [۱] اور وہی ہر چیز کر سکتا ہے
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ فَمِنكُمْ كَافِرٌۭ وَمِنكُم مُّؤْمِنٌۭ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
Huwal lazee khalaqakum faminkum kaafirunw wa min kum mu'min ; wallaahu bimaa ta'maloona Baseer
He it is Who created you, but one of you is a disbeliever and one of you is a believer, and Allah is Seer of what ye do.
وہی ہے جس نے تم کو بنایا پھر کوئی تم میں منکر ہے اورکوئی تم میں ایماندار [۲] اور اللہ جو تم کرتے ہو دیکھتا ہے
خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
Khalaqas samaawaati wal arda bilhaqqi wa sawwarakum fa ahsana suwarakum wa ilaihil maseer
He created the heavens and the earth with truth, and He shaped you and made good your shapes, and unto Him is the journeying.
بنایا آسمانوں کو اور زمین کو تدبیر سے اور صورت کھینچی تمہاری پھر اچھی بنائی تمہاری صورت [۳] اور اُسکی طرف سب کو پھر جانا ہے
يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُسِرُّونَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ
Ya'lamu maa fis samaawaati wal ardi wa ya'lamu maa tusirroona wa maa tu'linoon; wallaahu 'Aleemum bizaatis sudoor
He knoweth all that is in the heavens and the earth, and He knoweth what ye conceal and what ye publish. And Allah is Aware of what is in the breasts (of men).
جانتا ہے جو کچھ ہے آسمانوں میں اور زمین میں اور جانتا ہے جو تم چھپاتے ہو اور جو کھول کر کرتے ہو اور اللہ کو معلوم ہے جیوں کی بات
أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ فَذَاقُوا۟ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ
Alam yaatikum naba'ul lazeena kafaroo min qablu fazaaqoo wabaala amrihim wa lahum 'azaabun aleem
Hath not the story reached you of those who disbelieved of old and so did taste the ill-effects of their conduct, and theirs will be a painful doom.
کیا پہنچی نہیں تم کو خبر اُن لوگوں کی جو منکر ہو چکے ہیں پہلے پھر اُنہوں نے چکھی سزا اپنے کام کی اور اُن کو عذاب دردناک ہے [۴]
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُۥ كَانَت تَّأْتِيهِمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَبَشَرٌۭ يَهْدُونَنَا فَكَفَرُوا۟ وَتَوَلَّوا۟ ۚ وَّٱسْتَغْنَى ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَنِىٌّ حَمِيدٌۭ
Zaalika bi annahoo kaanat taateehim Rusuluhum bilbaiyinaati faqaaloo a basharuny yahdoonanaa fakafaroo wa tawallaw; wastaghnal laah; wallaahu ghaniyyun hameed
That was because their messengers (from Allah) kept coming unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but they said: Shall mere mortals guide us? So they disbelieved and turned away, and Allah was independent (of them). Allah is Absolute, Owner of Praise.
یہ اس لئےکہ لاتےتھے اُنکے پاس اُن کے سول نسانیاں پھر کتے کیا آدمی ہم کر راہ سمجھائیں گے پھر منکر ہوئے اور منہ موڑ لیا [۵] اور اللہ نے بے پروائی کی اور اللہ بے پروا ہے سب تعریفوں والا [۶]
زَعَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَن لَّن يُبْعَثُوا۟ ۚ قُلْ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّى لَتُبْعَثُنَّ ثُمَّ لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّ بِمَا عَمِلْتُمْ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌۭ
Za'amal lazeena kafarooo al-lany yub'asoo; qul balaa wa rabbee latub'asunna summa latunabba'unna bimaa 'amiltum; wa zaalika 'alal laahi yaseer
Those who disbelieve assert that they will not be raised again. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Yea, verily, by my Lord! ye will be raised again and then ye will be informed of what ye did; and that is easy for Allah.
دعوٰی کرتے ہیں منکر کہ ہر گز اُنکو کوئی نہ اٹھائے گا [۷] تو کہہ کیوں نہیں قسم ہے میرے رب کی تم کو بیشک اٹھانا ہے پھر تم کو جتلانا ہے جو کچھ تم نے کیا اور یہ اللہ پر آسان ہے [۸]
فَـَٔامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَٱلنُّورِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلْنَا ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌۭ
Fa-aaminoo billaahi wa rasoolihee wannooril lazeee anzalnaa; wallaahu bima ta'maloona khabeer
So believe in Allah and His messenger and the light which We have revealed. And Allah is Informed of what ye do.
سو ایمان لاؤ اللہ پر اور اسکے رسول پر اور اُس نور پر جو ہم نے اتارا [۹] اور اللہ کو تمہاے سب کام کی خبر ہے [۱۰]
يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُكُمْ لِيَوْمِ ٱلْجَمْعِ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلتَّغَابُنِ ۗ وَمَن يُؤْمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ وَيَعْمَلْ صَٰلِحًۭا يُكَفِّرْ عَنْهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِۦ وَيُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًۭا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ
Ywma yajma'ukum li yawmil jam'i zaalika yawmut taghaabun; wa many-yumim billaahi wa ya'mal saalihany yukaffir 'anhu sayyi aatihee wa yudkhilhu jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaaa abadaa; zaalikal fawzul 'azeem
The day when He shall gather you unto the Day of Assembling, that will be a day of mutual disillusion. And whoso believeth in Allah and doeth right, He will remit from him his evil deeds and will bring him unto Gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein to abide for ever. That is the supreme triumph.
جس دن تم کو اکٹھا کرے گا جمع ہونے کے دن وہ دن ہے ہار جیت کا [۱۱] اور جو کوئی یقین لائے اللہ پر اور کرے کام بھلا اتار دے گا اس پر سے اُسکی برائیاں [۱۲] اور داخل کرے گا اُسکو باغوں میں جنکے نیچے بہتی ہیں ندیاں رہا کریں اُن میں ہمیشہ یہی ہے بڑی مراد ملنی [۱۳]
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
Wallazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi aayaaatinaaa ulaaa'ika ashaabun naari khaalideena feehaa bi'sal maseer
But those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, such are owners of the Fire; they will abide therein - a hapless journey's end!
اور جو لوگ منکر ہوئے اور جھٹلائیں انہوں نے ہماری آیتیں وہ لوگ ہیں دوزخ والے رہا کریں اُسی میں اور بری جگہ جا پہنچے
مَآ أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَمَن يُؤْمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ يَهْدِ قَلْبَهُۥ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌۭ
Maaa asaaba mim musee batin illaa bi-iznil laah; wa many yu'mim billaahi yahdi qalbah; wallaahu bikulli shai;in Aleem
No calamity befalleth save by Allah's leave. And whosoever believeth in Allah, He guideth his heart. And Allah is Knower of all things.
نہیں پہنچتی کوئی تکلیف بدون حکم اللہ کے اور جو کوئی یقین لائے اللہ پر وہ راہ بتلائے اسکے دل کو [۱۴] اور اللہ کو ہر چیز معلوم ہے [۱۵]
وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ ۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ
Wa atee'ul laaha wa atee'ur Rasool; fa in tawallaitum fa innamaa 'alaa Rasoolinal balaaghul mubeen
Obey Allah and obey His messenger; but if ye turn away, then the duty of Our messenger is only to convey (the message) plainly.
اور حکم مانو اللہ کا اور حکم مانو رسول کا پھر اگر تم منہ موڑو تو ہمارے رسول کا تو یہی کام ہے پہنچا دینا کھول کر [۱۶]
ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
Allaahu laaa ilaaha illaa Hoo; wa 'alal laahi falyata wakkalil mu'minoon
Allah! There is no Allah save Him. In Allah, therefore, let believers put their trust.
اللہ اُسکے سوائے کسی کی بندگی نہیں اور اللہ پر چاہئے بھروسہ کریں ایمان والے [۱۷]
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُمْ وَأَوْلَٰدِكُمْ عَدُوًّۭا لَّكُمْ فَٱحْذَرُوهُمْ ۚ وَإِن تَعْفُوا۟ وَتَصْفَحُوا۟ وَتَغْفِرُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌ
Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanooo inna min azwaaji kum wa awlaadikum 'aduwwal lakum fahzaroohum; wa in ta'foo wa tasfahoo wa taghfiroo fa innal laaha ghafoorur Raheem
O ye who believe! Lo! among your wives and your children there are enemies for you, therefor beware of them. And if ye efface and overlook and forgive, then lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
اے ایمان والو تمہاری بعض جوروئیں اور اولاد دشمن ہیں تمہارے [۱۸] سو اُن سے بچتے رہو اور اگر معاف کرو اور درگزرو اور بخشو تو اللہ ہے بخشنے والا مہربان [۱۹]
إِنَّمَآ أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ وَأَوْلَٰدُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌۭ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥٓ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌۭ
Innamaa amwaalukum wa awlaadukum fitnah; wallaahu 'indahooo ajrun 'azeem
Your wealth and your children are only a temptation, whereas Allah! with Him is an immense reward.
تمہارے مال اور تمہاری اولاد یہی ہیں جانچنے کو اور اللہ جو ہے اُسکے پاس ہے ثواب بڑا [۲۰]
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ وَأَنفِقُوا۟ خَيْرًۭا لِّأَنفُسِكُمْ ۗ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
Fattaqul laaha mastat'tum wasma'oo wa atee'oo waanfiqoo khairal li anfusikum; wa many-yooqa shuha nafsihee fa-ulaaa'ika humul muflihoon
So keep your duty to Allah as best ye can, and listen, and obey, and spend; that is better for your souls. And whoso is saved from his own greed, such are the successful.
سو ڈرو اللہ سے جہاں تک ہو سکے اور سنو اور مانو [۲۱] اور خرچ کرو اپنے بھلے کو [۲۲] اور جسکو بچا دیا اپنے جی کے لالچ سے سو وہ لوگ وہی مراد کو پہنچے [۲۳]
إِن تُقْرِضُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًۭا يُضَٰعِفْهُ لَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ شَكُورٌ حَلِيمٌ
In tuqridul laaha qardan hasanany yudd'ifhu lakum wa yaghfir lakum; wallaahu Shakoorun Haleem
If ye lend unto Allah a goodly loan, He will double it for you and will forgive you, for Allah is Responsive, Clement,
اگر قرض دو اللہ کو اچھی طرح پر قرض دینا وہ دونا کر دے تم کو اور تم کو بخشے [۲۴] اور اللہ قدردان ہے تحمل والا [۲۵]
عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
'Aalimul-Ghaibi wash-shahaadatil 'Azeezul Hakeem
Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, the Mighty, the Wise.
جاننے والا پوشیدہ اور ظاہر کا زبردست حکمت والا [۲۶]
