At-Talaaq

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ إِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَطَلِّقُوهُنَّ لِعِدَّتِهِنَّ وَأَحْصُوا۟ ٱلْعِدَّةَ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ ۖ لَا تُخْرِجُوهُنَّ مِنۢ بُيُوتِهِنَّ وَلَا يَخْرُجْنَ إِلَّآ أَن يَأْتِينَ بِفَٰحِشَةٍۢ مُّبَيِّنَةٍۢ ۚ وَتِلْكَ حُدُودُ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَ ٱللَّهِ فَقَدْ ظَلَمَ نَفْسَهُۥ ۚ لَا تَدْرِى لَعَلَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحْدِثُ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ أَمْرًۭا

Yaaa ayyuhan nabiyyu izaa tallaqtummun nisaaa'a fatalliqoohunna li'iddatihinna wa ahsul'iddata; wattaqul laaha rabbakum laa tukhri joohunna mim bu-yootihinna wa laa yakhrujna illaaa any yaateema bifaahishatim mubaiyinah; wa tilka hudoodul laah; wa many yata'adda hudoodal laahi faqad zalama nafsha; laa tadree la'allal laaha yuhdisu ba'dazaalika amraa

O Prophet! When ye (men) put away women, put them away for their (legal) period and reckon the period, and keep your duty to Allah, your Lord. Expel them not from their houses nor let them go forth unless they commit open immorality. Such are the limits (imposed by) Allah; and whoso transgresseth Allah's limits, he verily wrongeth his soul. Thou knowest not: it may be that Allah will afterward bring some new thing to pass.

اے نبی جب تم طلاق دو عورتوں کو تو انکو طلاق دو اُنکی عدت پر [۱] اور گنتے رہو عدت کو [۲] اور ڈرو اللہ سے جو رب ہے تمہارا مت نکالو اُنکو اُنکے گھروں سے [۳] اور وہ بھی نہ نکلیں مگر جو کریں صریح بے حیائی [۴] اور یہ حدیں ہیں باندھی ہوئی اللہ کی اور جو کوئی بڑھے اللہ کی حدوں سے تو اُس نے برا کیا اپنا [۵] اُسکو خبر نہیں [۶] شاید اللہ پیدا کر دے اُس طلاق کے بعد نئی صورت [۷]

فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ فَارِقُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍۢ وَأَشْهِدُوا۟ ذَوَىْ عَدْلٍۢ مِّنكُمْ وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلشَّهَٰدَةَ لِلَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ يُوعَظُ بِهِۦ مَن كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ ۚ وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مَخْرَجًۭا

Fa izaa balaghna ajalahunna fa amsikoohunna bima'roofin aw faariqoohunna bima'roofinw wa ashhidoo zawai 'adlim minkum wa aqeemush shahaadata lillaah; zaalikum yoo'azu bihee man kaana yu'minu billaahi wal yawmil aakhir; wa many yattaqil laaha yaj'al lahoo makhrajaa

Then, when they have reached their term, take them back in kindness or part from them in kindness, and call to witness two just men among you, and keep your testimony upright for Allah. Whoso believeth in Allah and the Last Day is exhorted to act thus. And whosoever keepeth his duty to Allah, Allah will appoint a way out for him,

پھر جب پہنچیں اپنے وعدہ کو تو رکھ لو اُنکو دستور کے موافق یا چھوڑ دو اُنکو دستور کے موافق [۸] اور گواہ کر لو دو معتبر اپنے میں کے [۹] اور سیدھی ادا کرو گواہی اللہ کے واسطے [۱۰] یہ بات جو ہے اس سے سمجھ جائے گا جو کوئی یقین رکھتا ہو گا اللہ پر اور پچھلے دن پر [۱۱] اور جو کوئی ڈرتا ہے اللہ سے وہ کر دے اُس کا گذارہ [۱۲]

وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَٰلِغُ أَمْرِهِۦ ۚ قَدْ جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدْرًۭا

Wa yarzuqhu min haisu laa yahtasib; wa many yatawakkal 'alal laahi fahuwa husbuh; innal laaha baalighu amrih; qad ja'alal laahu likulli shai'in qadraa

And will provide for him from (a quarter) whence he hath no expectation. And whosoever putteth his trust in Allah, He will suffice him. Lo! Allah bringeth His command to pass. Allah hath set a measure for all things.

اور روزی دے اُسکو جہاں سے اُسکو خیال بھی نہ ہو [۱۳] اور جو کوئی بھروسہ رکھے اللہ پر تو وہ اُسکو کافی ہے تحقیق اللہ پورا کر لیتا ہے اپنا کام اللہ نےرکھا ہے ہر چیز کا اندازہ [۱۴]

وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى يَئِسْنَ مِنَ ٱلْمَحِيضِ مِن نِّسَآئِكُمْ إِنِ ٱرْتَبْتُمْ فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ ثَلَٰثَةُ أَشْهُرٍۢ وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى لَمْ يَحِضْنَ ۚ وَأُو۟لَٰتُ ٱلْأَحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَن يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ ۚ وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مِنْ أَمْرِهِۦ يُسْرًۭا

Wallaaa'ee ya'isna minal maheedi min nisaaa 'ikum inir tabtum fa'iddatuhunna salaasatu ashhurinw wallaaa'ee lam yahidn; wa ulaatul ahmaali ajaluhunna any yada'na hamlahun; wa many yattaqil laaha yaj'al lahoo min armrihee yusraa

And for such of your women as despair of menstruation, if ye doubt, their period (of waiting) shall be three months, along with those who have it not. And for those with child, their period shall be till they bring forth their burden. And whosoever keepeth his duty to Allah, He maketh his course easy for him.

اور جو عورتیں ناامید ہو گئیں حیض سے تمہاری عورتوں میں اگر تم کو شبہ رہ گیا تو اُنکی عدت ہے تین مہینے اور ایسے ہی جن کو حیض نہیں آیا [۱۵] اور جن کے پیٹ میں بچہ ہے اُنکی عدت یہ کہ جن لیں پیٹ کا بچہ [۱۶] اور جو کوئی ڈرتا رہے اللہ سے کر دے وہ اُس کے کام میں آسانی

ذَٰلِكَ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ أَنزَلَهُۥٓ إِلَيْكُمْ ۚ وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يُكَفِّرْ عَنْهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِۦ وَيُعْظِمْ لَهُۥٓ أَجْرًا

Zaalika amrul laahi anzalahoo ilaikum; wa many yattaqil laaha yukaffir 'anhu saiyi aatihee wa yu'zim lahoo ajraa

That is the commandment of Allah which He revealeth unto you. And whoso keepeth his duty to Allah, He will remit from him his evil deeds and magnify reward for him.

یہ حکم ہے اللہ کا جو اتارا تمہاری طرف اور جو کوئی ڈرتا رہے اللہ سے اتار دے اس پر سے اسکی برائیاں اور بڑا دے اُسکو ثواب [۱۷]

أَسْكِنُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ سَكَنتُم مِّن وُجْدِكُمْ وَلَا تُضَآرُّوهُنَّ لِتُضَيِّقُوا۟ عَلَيْهِنَّ ۚ وَإِن كُنَّ أُو۟لَٰتِ حَمْلٍۢ فَأَنفِقُوا۟ عَلَيْهِنَّ حَتَّىٰ يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ ۚ فَإِنْ أَرْضَعْنَ لَكُمْ فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ ۖ وَأْتَمِرُوا۟ بَيْنَكُم بِمَعْرُوفٍۢ ۖ وَإِن تَعَاسَرْتُمْ فَسَتُرْضِعُ لَهُۥٓ أُخْرَىٰ

Askinoohunna min haisu sakantum minw wujdikum wa laa tudaaarroohunna litudaiyiqoo 'alaihinn; wa in kunna ulaati hamlin fa anfiqoo 'alihinna hattaa yada'na hamlahunn; fain arda'na lakum fa aatoo hunna ujoorahunna waatamiroo bainakum bima'roofinw wa in ta'aasartum fasaturdi'u lahooo ukhraa

Lodge them where ye dwell, according to your wealth, and harass them not so as to straiten life for them. And if they are with child, then spend for them till they bring forth their burden. Then, if they give suck for you, give them their due payment and consult together in kindness; but if ye make difficulties for one another, then let some other woman give suck for him (the father of the child).

اُنکو گھر دو رہنے کے واسطے جہاں تم آپ رہو اپنے مقدور کے موافق [۱۸] اور ایذا دینا نہ چاہو اُنکو تاکہ تنگ پکڑو اُنکو [۱۹] اور اگر رکھتی ہوں پیٹ میں بچہ تو اُن پر خرچ کرو جب تک جنیں پیٹ کا بچہ [۲۰] پھر اگر وہ دودھ پلائیں تمہاری خاطر تو دو اُنکو اُن کا بدلا اور سکھاؤ آپس میں نیکی [۲۱] اور اگر ضد کرو آپس میں تو دودھ پلائے گی اُسکی خاطر اور کوئی عورت [۲۲]

لِيُنفِقْ ذُو سَعَةٍۢ مِّن سَعَتِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن قُدِرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقُهُۥ فَلْيُنفِقْ مِمَّآ ءَاتَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ ۚ لَا يُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا مَآ ءَاتَىٰهَا ۚ سَيَجْعَلُ ٱللَّهُ بَعْدَ عُسْرٍۢ يُسْرًۭا

Liyuntiq zoo sa'atim min sa'atihee wa man qudira 'alaihi riquhoo falyunfiq mimmaaa aataahul laah; laa yukalliful laahu nafsan illaa maaa aataahaa; sa yaj'alul laahu ba'da'usriny yusraa

Let him who hath abundance spend of his abundance, and he whose provision is measured, let him spend of that which Allah hath given him. Allah asketh naught of any soul save that which He hath given it. Allah will vouchsafe, after hardship, ease.

چاہیے خرچ کرے وسعت والا اپنی وسعت کے موافق اور جسکو نپی تلی ملتی ہے اُسکی روزی تو خرچ کرے جیسا کہ دیا ہے اُسکو اللہ نے اللہ کسی پر تکلیف نہیں رکھتا مگر اُسی قدر جو اُسکو دیا اب کر دے گا اللہ سختی کے پیچھے کچھ آسانی [۲۳]

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ عَتَتْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهَا وَرُسُلِهِۦ فَحَاسَبْنَٰهَا حِسَابًۭا شَدِيدًۭا وَعَذَّبْنَٰهَا عَذَابًۭا نُّكْرًۭا

Wa ka ayyim min qaryatin 'atat 'an amri Rabbihaa wa Rusulihee fahaasabnaahaa hisaaban shadeedanw wa 'azzabnaahaa 'azaaban nukraa

And how many a community revolted against the ordinance of its Lord and His messengers, and We called it to a stern account and punished it with dire punishment,

اور کتنی بستیاں کہ نکل چلیں حکم سے اپنے رب کے اور اُسکے رسولوں کے پھر ہم نے حساب میں پکڑا اُنکو سخت حساب میں اور آفت ڈالی اُن پر بن دیکھی آفت [۲۴]

فَذَاقَتْ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهَا وَكَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ أَمْرِهَا خُسْرًا

Fazaaqat wabbala amrihaa wa kaana 'aaqibatu amrihaa khusraa

So that it tasted the ill-effects of its conduct, and the consequence of its conduct was loss.

پھر چکھی انہوں نے سزا اپنے کام کی اور آخر کو اُنکے کام میں ٹوٹا آ گیا [۲۵]

أَعَدَّ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ عَذَابًۭا شَدِيدًۭا ۖ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ يَٰٓأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ۚ قَدْ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيْكُمْ ذِكْرًۭا

A'addal laahu lahum 'azaaban shadeedan fattaqul laaha yaaa ulil albaab, allazeena aammanoo; qad anzalal laahu ilaikum zikraa

Allah hath prepared for them stern punishment; so keep your duty to Allah, O men of understanding! O ye who believe! Now Allah hath sent down unto you a reminder,

تیار رکھا ہے اللہ نے واسطے اُنکے سخت عذاب [۲۶] سو ڈرتے رہو اللہ سے اے عقل والو جنکو یقین ہے [۲۷] بیشک اللہ نے اتاری ہے تم پر نصیحت [۲۸]

رَّسُولًۭا يَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ مُبَيِّنَٰتٍۢ لِّيُخْرِجَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ ۚ وَمَن يُؤْمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ وَيَعْمَلْ صَٰلِحًۭا يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًۭا ۖ قَدْ أَحْسَنَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُۥ رِزْقًا

Rasoolany yatloo 'alaikum aayaatil laahi mubaiyinaatil liyukhrijal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati minaz zulumaati ilan noor; wa many yu'mim billaahi wa ya;mal saalihany yudkhilhu jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaa abadan qad ahsanal laahu lahoo rizqqq

A messenger reciting unto you the revelations of Allah made plain, that He may bring forth those who believe and do good works from darkness unto light. And whosoever believeth in Allah and doeth right, He will bring him into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein to abide for ever. Allah hath made good provision for him.

رسول ہے جو پڑھ کر سناتا ہے تم کو اللہ کی آیتیں کھول کر سنانے والی [۲۹] تاکہ نکالے اُن لوگوں کو جو کہ یقین لائے اور کئے بھلے کام اندھیروں سے اجالے میں [۳۰] اور جو کوئی یقین لائے اللہ پر اورکرے کچھ بھلائی اُسکو داخل کرے باغوں میں نیچے بہتی ہیں جنکے نہریں سدا رہیں اُن میں ہمیشہ البتہ خوب دی اللہ نے اُسکو روزی [۳۱]

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٍۢ وَمِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ مِثْلَهُنَّ يَتَنَزَّلُ ٱلْأَمْرُ بَيْنَهُنَّ لِتَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عِلْمًۢا

Allaahul lazee khalaq Sab'a Samaawaatinw wa minal ardi mislahunna yatanazzalul amru bainahunna lita'lamooo annal laaha 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeerunw wa annal laaha qad ahaata bikulli shai'in ilmaa

Allah it is who hath created seven heavens, and of the earth the like thereof. The commandment cometh down among them slowly, that ye may know that Allah is Able to do all things, and that Allah surroundeth all things in knowledge.

اللہ وہی ہے جس نے بنائے سات آسمان اور زمین بھی اتنی ہی [۳۲] اترتا ہے اُس کا کا حکم اُنکے اندر [۳۳] تاکہ تم جانو کہ اللہ ہر چیز کر سکتا ہے اور اللہ کے علم میں سمائی ہے ہر چیز کی [۳۴]
