بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱلْحَآقَّةُ

Al haaaqqah

The Reality!

وہ ثابت ہو چکنے والی

مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ

Mal haaaqqah

What is the Reality?

کیا ہے وہ ثابت ہو چکنے والی [۱]

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ

Wa maaa adraaka mal haaaqqah

Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is!

اور تو نے کیا سوچا کیا ہے وہ ثابت ہو چکنے والی [۲]

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌۢ بِٱلْقَارِعَةِ

Kazzabat samoodu wa 'Aadum bil qaari'ah

(The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come.

جھٹلایا ثمود اور عاد نے اُس کوٹ ڈالنے والی کو [۳]

فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِ

Fa-ammaa Samoodu fauhlikoo bittaaghiyah

As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning.

سو وہ جو ثمود تھے سو غارت کر دیے گئے اچھال کر [۴]

وَأَمَّا عَادٌۭ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِرِيحٍۢ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍۢ

Wa ammaa 'Aadun fa uhlikoo bireehin sarsarin 'aatiyah

And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind,

اور وہ جو عاد تھے سو برباد ہوئے ٹھنڈی سناٹے کی ہوا سے نکلی جائے ہاتھوں سے [۵]

سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍۢ وَثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًۭا فَتَرَى ٱلْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍۢ

Sakhkharahaa 'alaihim sab'a la yaalinw wa samaaniyata ayyaamin husooman fataral qawma feehaa sar'aa ka annahum a'jaazu nakhlin khaawiyah

Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees.

مقرر کر دیا اُسکو اُن پر سات رات اور آٹھ دن تک لگاتار پھر تو دیکھے کہ وہ لوگ اُس میں بچھڑ گئے گویا وہ ڈھنڈ ہیں کھجور کے کھوکھلے [۶]

فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِيَةٍۢ

Fahal taraa lahum mim baaqiyah

Canst thou (O Muhammad) see any remnant of them?

پھر تو دیکھتا ہے کوئی اُن میں کا بچا [۷]

وَجَآءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُۥ وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتُ بِٱلْخَاطِئَةِ

Wa jaaa'a Firawnu wa man qablahoo wal mu'tafikaatu bilhaati'ah

And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error,

اور آیا فرعون اور جو اُس سے پہلے تھے اور اُلٹ جانے والی بستیاں خطائیں کرتے ہوئے

فَعَصَوْا۟ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةًۭ رَّابِيَةً

Fa'ansaw Rasoola Rabbihim fa akhazahum akhzatar raabiyah

And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, therefor did He grip them with a tightening grip.

پھر حکم نہ مانا اپنے رب کے رسول کا پھر پکڑا اُنکو پکڑنا سخت [۸]

إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلْمَآءُ حَمَلْنَٰكُمْ فِى ٱلْجَارِيَةِ

Innaa lammaa taghal maaa'u hamalnaakum fil jaariyah

Lo! when the waters rose, We carried you upon the ship

ہم نے جس وقت پانی اُبلا لاد لیا تم کو چلتی کشتی میں

لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةًۭ وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنٌۭ وَٰعِيَةٌۭ

Linaj'alahaa lakum tazki ratanw-wa ta'iyahaa unzununw waa'iyah

That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember.

تاکہ رکھیں اُسکو تمہاری یادگاری کے واسطے اور سینت کر رکھے اُسکو کان سینت کر رکھنے والا [۹]

فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ

Fa izaa nufikha fis soori nafkhatunw waahidah

And when the trumpet shall sound one blast

پھر جب پھونکا جائے صور میں ایک بار پھونکنا

وَحُمِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ

Wa humilatil ardu wal jibaalu fadukkataa dakkatanw waahidah

And the earth with the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with one crash,

اور اٹھائی جائے زمین اورپہاڑ پھر کوٹ دیے جائیں ایک بار

فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ

Fa yawma'izinw waqa'atil waaqi'ah

Then, on that day will the Event befall.

پھر اُس دن ہو پڑے وہ ہو پڑنے والی [۱۰]

وَٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَهِىَ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَاهِيَةٌۭ

Wanshaqqatis samaaa'u fahiya yawma 'izinw-waahiyah

And the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail.

اور پھٹ جائے آسمان پھر وہ اُس دن بکھر رہا ہے

وَٱلْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرْجَآئِهَا ۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ ثَمَٰنِيَةٌۭ

Wal malaku 'alaaa arjaaa'ihaa; wa yahmilu 'Arsha Rabbika fawqahum yawma'izin samaaniyah

And the angels will be on the sides thereof, and eight will uphold the Throne of thy Lord that day, above them.

اور فرشتے ہوں گے اُسکے کناروں پر [۱۱] اور اٹھائیں گے تخت تیرے رب کا اپنے اوپر اُس دن آٹھ شخص [۱۲]

يَوْمَئِذٍۢ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌۭ

Yawma'izin tu'radoona laa takhfaa min kum khaafiyah

On that day ye will be exposed; not a secret of you will be hidden.

اُس دن سامنے کئے جاؤ گے چھپی نہ رہے گی تمہاری کوئی چھپی بات [۱۳]

فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقْرَءُوا۟ كِتَٰبِيَهْ

Fa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo biyameenihee fa yaqoolu haaa'umuq ra'oo kitaabiyah

Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book!

سو جس کو ملا اُس کا لکھا داہنے ہاتھ میں وہ کہتا ہے لیجیو پڑھیو میرا لکھا [۱۴]

إِنِّى ظَنَنتُ أَنِّى مُلَٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ

Innee zannantu annee mulaaqin hisaabiyah

Surely I knew that I should have to meet my reckoning.

میں نے خیال رکھا اس بات کا کہ مجھ کو ملے گا میرا حساب [۱۵]

فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ

Fahuwa fee 'eeshatir raadiyah

Then he will be in blissful state

سو وہ ہیں من مانتے گزران میں

فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۢ

Fee jannnatin 'aaliyah

In a high garden

اونچے باغ میں

قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌۭ

Qutoofuhaa daaniyah

Whereof the clusters are in easy reach.

جسکے میوےجھکے پڑے ہیں [۱۶]

كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَآ أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَيَّامِ ٱلْخَالِيَةِ

Kuloo washraboo haneee'am bimaaa aslaftum fil ayyaamil khaliyah

(And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days.

کھاؤ اور پیو رچ کر بدلا اُس کا جو آگے بھیج چکے ہو تم پہلے دنوں میں [۱۷]

وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهْ

Wa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo bishimaalihee fa yaqoolu yaalaitanee lam oota kitaaabiyah

But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: Oh, would that I had not been given my book

اور جس کو ملا اُس کا لکھا بائیں ہاتھ میں وہ کہتا ہے کیا اچھا ہوتا جو مجھ کو نہ ملتا میرا لکھا

وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ

Wa lam adri maa hisaabiyah

And knew not what my reckoning!

اور مجھ کو خبر نہ ہوتی کہ کیا ہے حساب میرا

يَٰلَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلْقَاضِيَةَ

Yaa laitahaa kaanatil qaadiyah

Oh, would that it had been death!

کسی طرح وہی موت ختم کر جاتی

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّى مَالِيَهْ ۜ

Maaa aghnaa 'annee maaliyah

My wealth hath not availed me,

کچھ کام نہ آیا مجھ کو میرا مال

هَلَكَ عَنِّى سُلْطَٰنِيَهْ

Halaka 'annee sultaaniyah

My power hath gone from me.

برباد ہوئی مجھ سے حکومت میری [۱۸]

خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ

Khuzoohu faghullooh

(It will be said): Take him and fetter him

اُسکو پکڑو پھر طوق ڈالو

ثُمَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ

Summal Jaheema sallooh

And then expose him to hell-fire

پھر آگ کے ڈھیر میں اسکو ڈالو

ثُمَّ فِى سِلْسِلَةٍۢ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًۭا فَٱسْلُكُوهُ

Summa fee silsilatin zar'uhaa sab'oona ziraa'an faslukooh

And then insert him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits.

پھر ایک زنجیر میں جس کا طول ستر گز ہے اُسکو جکڑ دو [۱۹]

إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

Innahoo kaana laa yu'minubillaahil 'Azeem

Lo! He used not to believe in Allah the Tremendous,

وہ تھا کہ یقین نہ لاتا تھا اللہ پر جو سب سے بڑا

وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ

wa laa yahuddu 'alaa ta'aamil miskeen

And urged not on the feeding of the wretched.

اور تاکید نہ کرتا تھا فقیر کے کھانے پر [۲۰]

فَلَيْسَ لَهُ ٱلْيَوْمَ هَٰهُنَا حَمِيمٌۭ

Falaysa lahul yawma haahunaa hameem

Therefor hath he no lover here this day,

سو کوئی نہیں آج اُس کا یہاں دوستدار [۲۱]

وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍۢ

Wa laa ta'aamun illaa min ghisleen

Nor any food save filth

اور نہ کچھ ملے کھانا مگر زخموں کا دھوون

لَّا يَأْكُلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْخَٰطِـُٔونَ

Laa yaakuluhooo illal khati'oon

Which none but sinners eat.

کوئی نہ کھائے اُسکو مگر وہی گنہگار [۲۲]

فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ

Falaaa uqsimu bimaa tubsiroon

But nay! I swear by all that ye see

سو قسم کھاتا ہوں اُن چیزوں کی جو دیکھتے ہو

وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ

Wa maa laa tubsiroon

And all that ye see not

اور جو چیزیں کہ تم نہیں دیکھتے

إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ

Innahoo laqawlu Rasoolin kareem

That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger.

کہ کہا ہے ایک پیغام لانے والے سردار کا [۲۳]

وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍۢ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ

Wa ma huwa biqawli shaa'ir; qaleelam maa tu'minoon

It is not poet's speech - little is it that ye believe!

اور نہیں ہے یہ کہا کسی شاعر کا تم تھوڑا یقین کرتے ہو [۲۴]

وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍۢ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ

Wa laa biqawli kaahin; qaleelam maa tazakkaroon

Nor diviner's speech - little is it that ye remember!

اور نہیں ہے کہا پریوں والے کا تم بہت کم دھیان کرتے ہو [۲۵]

تَنزِيلٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Tanzeelum mir rabbil 'aalameen

It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.

یہ اتارا ہوا ہے جہان کے رب کا [۲۶]

وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ ٱلْأَقَاوِيلِ

Wa law taqawwala 'alainaa ba'dal aqaaweel

And if he had invented false sayings concerning Us,

اور اگر یہ بنا لاتا ہم پر کوئی بات

لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِٱلْيَمِينِ

La-akhaznaa minhu bilyameen

We assuredly had taken him by the right hand

تو ہم پکڑ لیتے اس کا داہنا ہاتھ

ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ ٱلْوَتِينَ

Summa laqata'naa minhul wateen

And then severed his life-artery,

پھر کاٹ ڈالتے اُسکی گردن

فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَٰجِزِينَ

Famaa minkum min ahadin'anhu haajizeen

And not one of you could have held Us off from him.

پھر تم میں کوئی ایسا نہیں جو اُس سے بچا لے [۲۷]

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَذْكِرَةٌۭ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

Wa innahoo latazkiratul lilmuttaqeen

And lo! it is a warrant unto those who ward off (evil).

اور یہ نصیحت ہے ڈرنے والوں کو

وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَ

Wa inna lana'lamu anna minkum mukazzibeen

And lo! We know that some among you will deny (it).

اور ہمکو معلوم ہے کہ تم میں بعضے جھٹلاتے ہیں

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

Wa innahu lahasratun 'alal kaafireen

And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers.

اور وہ جو ہے پچتاوا ہے منکروں پر [۲۸]

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ

Wa innahoo lahaqqul yaqeen

And lo! it is absolute truth.

اور وہ جو ہے یقین کرنے کے قابل ہے

فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

Fasbbih bismi Rabbikal 'Azeem

So glorify the name of thy Tremendous Lord.

اب بول پاکی اپنے رب کے نام کی جو ہے سب سے بڑا [۲۹]
