Nooh

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ

Innaaa arsalnaa Noohan ilaa qawmihee an anzir qawmaka min qabli any yaatiyahum 'azaabun aleem

Lo! We sent Noah unto his people (saying): Warn thy people ere the painful doom come unto them.

ہم نے بھیجا نوح کو اُسکی قوم کی طرف کہ ڈرا اپنی قوم کو اس سے پہلے کہ پہنچے اُن پر عذاب دردناک [۱]

قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنِّى لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌ

Qaala yaa qawmi innee lakum nazeerum mubeen

He said: O my people! Lo! I am a plain warner unto you

بولا اے قوم میری میں تم کو ڈر سناتا ہوں کھول کر

أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِ

Ani'udul laaha watta qoohu wa atee'oon

(Bidding you): Serve Allah and keep your duty unto Him and obey me,

کہ بندگی کرو اللہ کی اور اُس سے ڈرو اور میرا کہنا مانو [۲]

يَغْفِرْ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّى ۚ إِنَّ أَجَلَ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا جَآءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُ ۖ لَوْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

Yaghfir lakum min zunoobikum wa yu'akhkhirkum ilaaa ajalim musammaa; innaa ajalal laahi izaa jaaa'a laa yu'akhkhar; law kuntum ta'lamoon

That He may forgive you somewhat of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Lo! the term of Allah, when it cometh, cannot be delayed, if ye but knew.

تاکہ بخشے وہ تم کو کچھ گناہ تمہارے اور ڈھیل دے تم کو ایک مقرر وعدہ تک [۳] وہ وعدہ جو کیا ہے اللہ نے جب آ پہنچے گا اُسکو ڈھیل نہ ہو گی [۴] اگر تمکو سمجھ ہے [۵]

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِى لَيْلًۭا وَنَهَارًۭا

Qaala rabbi innee da'awtu qawmee lailanw wa naharaa

He said: My Lord! Lo! I have called unto my people night and day

بولا اے رب میں بلاتا رہا اپنی قوم کو رات اور دن

فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَآءِىٓ إِلَّا فِرَارًۭا

Falam yazid hum du'aaa 'eee illaa firaaraa

But all my calling doth but add to their repugnance;

پھرمیرے بلانے سے اور زیادہ بھاگنے لگے [۶]

وَإِنِّى كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوٓا۟ أَصَٰبِعَهُمْ فِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَٱسْتَغْشَوْا۟ ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا۟ وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ ٱسْتِكْبَارًۭا

Wa inee kullamaa da'awtuhum litaghfira lahum ja'alooo asaabi'ahum fee aazaanihim wastaghshaw siyaabahum wa asaarroo wastakbarus tikbaaraa

And lo! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayst pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist (in their refusal) and magnify themselves in pride.

اور میں نے جب کبھی اُنکو بلایا تاکہ تو اُنکو بخشے ڈالنے لگے انگلیاں اپنے کانوں میں [۷] اور لپیٹنے لگے اپنے اوپر کپڑے [۸] اور ضد کی اور غرور کیا بڑا غرور [۹]

ثُمَّ إِنِّى دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارًۭا

Summa innee da'aw tuhum jihaara

And lo! I have called unto them aloud,

پھر میں نے اُنکو بلایا بر ملا [۱۰]

ثُمَّ إِنِّىٓ أَعْلَنتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ إِسْرَارًۭا

Summaa inneee a'lantu lahum wa asrartu lahum israaraa

And lo! I have made public proclamation unto them, and I have appealed to them in private.

پھر میں نے اُنکو کھول کر کہا اور چھپ کر کہا چپکے سے [۱۱]

فَقُلْتُ ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارًۭا

Faqultus taghfiroo Rabakam innahoo kaana Ghaffaaraa

And I have said: Seek pardon of your Lord. Lo! He was ever Forgiving.

تو میں نے کہا گناہ بخشواؤ اپنے رب سے بیشک وہ ہے بخشنے والا [۱۲]

يُرْسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًۭا

Yursilis samaaa'a 'alaikum midraaraa

He will let loose the sky for you in plenteous rain,

چھوڑ دے گا آسمان کی تم پر دھاریں

وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَٰلٍۢ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَٰرًۭا

Wa yumdidkum bi am waalinw wa baneena wa yaj'al lakum Jannaatinw wa yaj'al lakum anhaaraa

And will help you with wealth and sons, and will assign unto you Gardens and will assign unto you rivers.

اور بڑھا دے گا تم کومال اور بیٹوں سے اور بنا دے گا تمہارے واسطے باغ اور بنا دے گا تمہارے لئے نہریں [۱۳]

مَّا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارًۭا

Maa lakum laa tarjoona lillaahi waqaaraa

What aileth you that ye hope not toward Allah for dignity

کیا ہوا ہے تم کو کیوں نہیں امید رکھتے اللہ سے بڑائی کی [۱۴]

وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ أَطْوَارًا

Wa qad khalaqakum at waaraa

When He created you by (divers) stages?

اور اُسی نے بنایا تمکو طرح طرح سے [۱۵]

أَلَمْ تَرَوْا۟ كَيْفَ خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٍۢ طِبَاقًۭا

Alam taraw kaifa khalaqal laahu sab'a samaawaatin tibaaqaa

See ye not how Allah hath created seven heavens in harmony,

کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کیسے بنائے اللہ نے سات آسمان تہہ پر تہہ [۱۶]

وَجَعَلَ ٱلْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورًۭا وَجَعَلَ ٱلشَّمْسَ سِرَاجًۭا

Wa ja'alal qamara feehinna nooranw wa ja'alash shamsa siraajaa

And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp?

اور رکھا چاند کو اُن میں اجالا اور رکھا سورج کو چراغ جلتا ہوا [۱۷]

وَٱللَّهُ أَنۢبَتَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ نَبَاتًۭا

Wallaahu ambatakum minal ardi nabaataa

And Allah hath caused you to grow as a growth from the earth,

اور اللہ نے اگایا تمکو زمین سے جما کر [۱۸]

ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمْ فِيهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ إِخْرَاجًۭا

Summa yu'eedukum feehaa wa ukhrijukum ikhraajaa

And afterward He maketh you return thereto, and He will bring you forth again, a (new) forthbringing.

پھر مکرر ڈالے گا تم کو اس میں اور نکالے گا تم کو باہر [۱۹]

وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًۭا

Wallaahu ja'ala lakumul arda bisaataa

And Allah hath made the earth a wide expanse for you

اور اللہ نے بنا دیا تمہارے لئے زمین کو بچھونا

لِّتَسْلُكُوا۟ مِنْهَا سُبُلًۭا فِجَاجًۭا

Litaslukoo minhaa subulan fijaajaa

That ye may thread the valley-ways thereof.

تاکہ چلو اُس میں کشادہ رستے [۲۰]

قَالَ نُوحٌۭ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِى وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ مَن لَّمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَارًۭا

Qaala Noohur Robbi innahum 'asawnee wattaba'oo mal lam yazid hu maaluhoo wa waladuhooo illaa khasaara

Noah said: My Lord! Lo! they have disobeyed me and followed one whose wealth and children increase him in naught save ruin;

کہا نوح نے اے رب میرے انہوں نے میرا کہا نہ مانا اور مانا ایسے کا جسکو اُسکے مال اور اولاد سے اور زیادہ ہو ٹوٹا [۲۱]

وَمَكَرُوا۟ مَكْرًۭا كُبَّارًۭا

Wa makaroo makran kubbaaraa

And they have plotted a mighty plot,

اور داؤ کیا ہے بڑ اداؤ [۲۲]

وَقَالُوا۟ لَا تَذَرُنَّ ءَالِهَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّۭا وَلَا سُوَاعًۭا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسْرًۭا

Wa qaaloo laa tazarunna aalihatakum wa laa tazarunna Waddanw wa laa Suwaa'anw wa laa Yaghoosa wa Ya'ooqa wa Nasraa

And they have said: Forsake not your gods. Forsake not Wadd, nor Suwa', nor Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr.

اور بولے ہرگز نہ چھوڑیو اپنے معبودوں کو [۲۳] اور نہ چھوڑیو ودّ کو اور نہ سواع کو اور نہ یغوث کو اور نہ یعوق اور نسر کو [۲۴]

وَقَدْ أَضَلُّوا۟ كَثِيرًۭا ۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَٰلًۭا

Wa qad adalloo kasee ranw wa laa tazidiz zaalimeena illaa dalaalaa

And they have led many astray, and Thou increasest the wrong-doers in naught save error.

اور بہکا دیا بہتوں کو اور تو نہ زیادہ کرنا (کریو) بے انصافوں کو مگر بھٹکنا [۲۵]

مِّمَّا خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُوا۟ فَأُدْخِلُوا۟ نَارًۭا فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا۟ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَنصَارًۭا

Mimmaa khateee' aatihim ughriqoo fa udkhiloo Naaran falam yajidoo lahum min doonil laahi ansaaraa

Because of their sins they were drowned, then made to enter a Fire. And they found they had no helpers in place of Allah.

کچھ وہ اپنے گناہوں سے دبائے گئے پھر ڈالے گئے آگ میں [۲۶] پھر نہ پائے اپنے واسطے انہوں نے اللہ کے سوائے کوئی مددگار [۲۷]

وَقَالَ نُوحٌۭ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ دَيَّارًا

Wa qaala Noohur Rabbi laa tazar 'alal ardi minal kaafireena daiyaaraa

And Noah said: My Lord! Leave not one of the disbelievers in the land.

اور کہا نوح نے اے رب نہ چھوڑیو زمین پر منکروں کا ایک گھر بسنے والا

إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّوا۟ عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوٓا۟ إِلَّا فَاجِرًۭا كَفَّارًۭا

Innaka in tazarhum yudil loo 'ibaadaka wa laa yalidooo illaa faajiran kaffaaraa

If Thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead Thy slaves and will beget none save lewd ingrates.

مقرر اگر تو چھوڑ دے گا اُنکو بہکائیں گے تیرے بندوں کو اور جو جنیں گے سو ڈھیٹھ حق کا منکر [۲۸]

رَّبِّ ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَلِوَٰلِدَىَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيْتِىَ مُؤْمِنًۭا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارًۢا

Rabbigh fir lee wa liwaa lidaiya wa liman dakhala baitiya mu'minanw wa lil mu'mineena wal mu'minaati wa laa tazidiz zaalimeena illaa tabaaraa

My Lord! Forgive me and my parents and him who entereth my house believing, and believing men and believing women, and increase not the wrong-doers in aught save ruin.

اے رب معاف کر مجھ کو اور میرے ماں باپ کو اور جو آئے میرے گھر میں ایماندار اور سب ایمان والے مردوں کو اور عورتوں کو [۲۹] اور گنہگاروں پر بڑھتا رکھ یہی برباد ہونا
