Al-Burooj

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْبُرُوجِ

Wassamaaa'i zaatil burooj

By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars,

قسم ہے آسمان کی جس میں برج ہیں [۱]

وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْمَوْعُودِ

Wal yawmil maw'ood

And by the Promised Day.

اور اُس دن کی جس کا وعدہ ہے [۲]

وَشَاهِدٍۢ وَمَشْهُودٍۢ

Wa shaahidinw wa mashhood

And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony,

اور اُس دن کی جو حاضر ہوتا ہے اور اُسکی کہ جسکے پاس حاضر ہوتے ہیں [۳]

قُتِلَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأُخْدُودِ

Qutila as haabul ukhdood

(Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch

مارے گئے کھائیاں کھودنے والے

ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلْوَقُودِ

Annaari zaatil waqood

Of the fuel-fed fire,

آگ ہے بہت ایندھن والی [۴]

إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌۭ

Iz hum 'alaihaa qu'ood

When they sat by it,

جب وہ اس پر بیٹھے

وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌۭ

Wa hum 'alaa maa yaf'aloona bilmu 'mineena shuhood

And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers.

اور جو کچھ وہ کرتے مسلمانوں کے ساتھ اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھتے [۵]

وَمَا نَقَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ

Wa maa naqamoo minhum illaaa aiyu'minoo billaahil 'azeezil Hameed

They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise,

اور اُن سے بدلا نہ لیتے تھے مگر اسی بات کہ وہ یقین لائے اللہ پر جو زبردست ہے تعریفوں والا

ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ شَهِيدٌ

Allazee lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ard; wallaahu 'alaa kulli shai 'in Shaheed

Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness.

جس کا راج ہے آسمانوں میں اور زمین میں اور اللہ کے سامنے ہے ہر چیز [۶]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا۟ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا۟ فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ ٱلْحَرِيقِ

Innal lazeena fatanul mu'mineena wal mu'minaati summa lam yatooboo falahum 'azaabu Jahannama wa lahum 'azaabul hareeq

Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning.

تحقیق جو دین سے بچلائے ایمان والے مردوں کو اورعورتوں کو پھر توبہ نہ کی تو اُنکے لئے عذاب ہے دوزخ کا اور اُنکے لئے عذاب ہے آگ لگے کا [۷]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ

Innal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum Jannaatun tajree min tahtihal anhaar; zaalikal fawzul kabeer

Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success.

بیشک جو لوگ یقین لائے اور کیں انہوں نے بھلائیاں انکے لئے باغ ہیں جنکے نیچے بہتی ہیں نہریں یہ ہے بڑی مراد ملنی [۸]

إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ

Inna batsha Rabbika lashadeed

Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern.

بیشک تیرے رب کی پکڑ سخت ہے [۹]

إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ

Innahoo Huwa yubdi'u wa yu'eed

Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth,

بیشک وہی کرتا ہے پہلی مرتبہ اور دوسری [۱۰]

وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلْوَدُودُ

Wa Huwal Ghafoorul Wadood

And He is the Forgiving, the Loving,

اور وہی ہے بخشنے والا محبت کرنے والا [۱۱]

ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْمَجِيدُ

Zul 'Arshil Majeed

Lord of the Throne of Glory,

مالک عرش کا بڑی شان والا

فَعَّالٌۭ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ

Fa' 'aalul limaa yureed

Doer of what He will.

کر ڈالنے والا جو چاہے [۱۲]

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْجُنُودِ

Hal ataaka hadeesul junood

Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts

کیا پہنچی تجھ کو بات اُن لشکروں کی

فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ

Fir'awna wa Samood

Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud?

فرعون اور ثمود کے [۱۳]

بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى تَكْذِيبٍۢ

Balil lazeena kafaroo fee takzeeb

Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial

کوئی نہیں بلکہ منکر جھٹلاتےہیں [۱۴]

وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطٌۢ

Wallaahu minw waraaa'ihim muheet

And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them.

اور اللہ نے اُنکو ہر طرف سے گھیر رکھا ہے [۱۵]

بَلْ هُوَ قُرْءَانٌۭ مَّجِيدٌۭ

Bal huwa Quraanum Majeed

Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an.

کوئی نہیں یہ قرآن ہے بڑی شان کا [۱۶]

فِى لَوْحٍۢ مَّحْفُوظٍۭ

Fee Lawhim Mahfooz

On a guarded tablet.

لکھا ہو الوح محفوظ میں [۱۷]
