بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى
Sabbihisma Rabbikal A'laa
Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High,
پاکی بیان کر اپنے رب کے نام کی جو سب سے اوپر [۱]
سُورَةُ الأَعۡلَىٰ
Al-A'laa
الاعلیٰ
Glorify the Most High, who taught by the pen.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
Allazee khalaqa fasawwaa
Who createth, then disposeth;
جس نے بنایا پھر ٹھیک کیا [۲]
وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
Wallazee qaddara fahadaa
Who measureth, then guideth;
اور جس نے ٹھہرا دیا پھر راہ بتلائی [۳]
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ
Wallazeee akhrajal mar'aa
Who bringeth forth the pasturage,
اور جس نے نکالا چارا
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ
Faja'alahoo ghusaaa'an ahwaa
Then turneth it to russet stubble.
پھر کر ڈالا اُسکو کُوڑا سیاہ [۴]
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
Sanuqri'uka falaa tansaaa
We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget
البتہ ہم پڑھائیں گے تجھ کو پھر تو نہ بھولے گا
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ
Illaa maa shaaa'al laah; innahoo ya'lamul jahra wa maa yakhfaa
Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden;
مگر جو چاہے اللہ [۵] وہ جانتا ہے پکارنے کو اور جو چھپا ہوا ہے [۶]
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
Wa nu-yassiruka lilyusraa
And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease.
اور سہج سہج پہنچائیں گے ہم تجھ کو آسانی تک [۷]
فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
Fazakkir in nafa'atizzikraa
Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder.
سو تو سمجھا دے اگر فائدہ کرے سمجھانا [۸]
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ
Sa yazzakkaru maiyakhshaa
He will heed who feareth,
سمجھ جائے گا جس کو ڈر ہو گا [۹]
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى
Wa yatajannabuhal ashqaa
But the most hapless will flout it,
اور یکسو رہے گا اُس سے بڑا بدقسمت
ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
Allazee yaslan Naaral kubraa
He who will be flung to the great Fire
وہ جو داخل ہو گا بڑی آگ میں [۱۰]
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
Summa laa yamootu feehaa wa laa yahyaa
Wherein he will neither die nor live.
پھر نہ مرے گا اُس میں اور نہ جئے گا [۱۱]
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
Qad aflaha man tazakkaa
He is successful who groweth,
بیشک بھلا ہوا اُس کا جو سنورا [۱۲]
وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
Wa zakaras ma Rabbihee fasallaa
And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth,
اورلیا اُس نے نام اپنے رب کا پھر نماز پڑھی [۱۳]
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
Bal tu'siroonal hayaatad dunyaa
But ye prefer the life of the world
کوئی نہیں تم بڑھاتے ہو دنیا کے جینے کو
وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
Wal Aakhiratu khairunw wa abqaa
Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting.
اور پچھلا گھر بہتر ہے اور باقی رہنے والا [۱۴]
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
Inna haazaa lafis suhu fil oolaa
Lo! This is in the former scrolls.
یہ لکھا ہوا ہے پہلے ورقوں میں
صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
Suhufi Ibraaheema wa Moosaa
The Books of Abraham and Moses.
صحیفوں میں ابراہیم کے اور موسٰی کے [۱۵]
