Ad-Dhuhaa

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلضُّحَىٰ

Wad duhaa

By the morning hours

قسم دھوپ چڑھتے وقت کی

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ

Wal laili iza sajaa

And by the night when it is stillest,

اور رات کی جب چھا جائے

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ

Ma wad da'aka rabbuka wa ma qalaa

Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee,

نہ رخصت کر دیا تجھ کو تیرے رب نے اور نہ بیزار ہوا [۱]

وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ

Walal-aakhiratu khairul laka minal-oola

And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former,

اور البتہ پچھلی بہتر ہے تجھ کو پہلی سے [۲]

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ

Wa la sawfa y'uteeka rabbuka fatarda

And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content.

اور آگے دے گا تجھ کو تیرا رب پھر تو راضی ہو گا [۳]

أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًۭا فَـَٔاوَىٰ

Alam ya jidka yateeman fa aawaa

Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)?

بھلا نہیں پایا تجھ کو یتیم پھر جگہ دی [۴]

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ

Wa wa jadaka daal lan fahada

Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)?

اور پایا تجھ کو بھٹکتا پھر راہ سجھائی [۵]

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًۭا فَأَغْنَىٰ

Wa wa jadaka 'aa-ilan fa aghnaa

Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)?

اور پایا تجھ کو مفلس پھر بے پروا کر دیا [۶]

فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ

Fa am mal yateema fala taqhar

Therefor the orphan oppress not,

سو جو یتیم ہو اُس کو مت دبا [۷]

وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ

Wa am mas saa-ila fala tanhar

Therefor the beggar drive not away,

اور جو مانگتا ہو اُسکو مت جھڑک [۸]

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ

Wa amma bi ni'mati rabbika fahad dith

Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse.

اور جو احسان ہے تیرے رب کا سو بیان کر [۹]
